was the first time in three years that we have
been out on a date like that.

Well, because the movies were the movies. This was actually
like dress up, do something intentional, go to someplace intentional,
like a dinner date, to have a dinner date sort

date is more formal than just you know, throwing on

I would have wrapped it because it's Christmas related.
