If Santa were to add new reindeer or to replace
certain reindeer, what's a name that that reindeer could have?

Okay, it's not going to be too far from my
own name here.

And it is because.

things they shouldn't, though sadly.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Get things done when there's a problem.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
Yeah, because you know, if there's a problem there for
sure go to the right person and get it handled.
And we don't want problems on Christmas Eve?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
All right, good, so name a reindeer, Karen and hope
that it goes Karen on any kind of problem.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Sanna's sleigh might have no Shenanigan's under Karen's.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
W Ashley, I'm proud of my name.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Well, you should be proud of your name, Karen. See
you and that new reindeer named Karen will bring it
into this disdain of the phrase.

really does leave a mark, and we should be intentional
(04:54):
with ours, all right, So what kind of difference do
you want to make today? I don't know about you,
but I'm counting on it, and I think that the world,
the universe is counting on it. Tuned, So you've got this,
and thank you for waking up with Toby and Chilly

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Well, Toby's been with his girlfriend for over five years
and yet he just told me a few minutes ago
that he went on his first date with her in
three years.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
She actually was the one that pointed it out while
we were sitting down to dinner.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Okay, you're gonna have to explain what that exactly means
because it doesn't make much sense.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Well to stay there for a few minutes and we'll
fill you in on this. The latest chapter in the
drama of my life coming up. It turns out it
wasn't just a date. It was more than that ninety

I'm sure you have some questions.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
You said that you went on your first date with
your girlfriend in three years. You guys have been together
for over five years. Yes, explain to me what you
define as a date, because I'm a little confused.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Her me out, no other things to distract us, no
kids to run home to, aside from the dogs. That
was the first time in three years that we have
been out on a date like that.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Well didn't you guys go to the movies recently? Why
didn't you count that?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Well, because the movies were the movies. This was actually
like dress up, do something intentional, go to someplace intentional,
like a dinner date, to have a dinner date sort
of a thing.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So do you think hanging out is different than going
on a date?
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Correct me if I'm wrong, But I think that a
date is more formal than just you know, throwing on
some scrubs and going to see a movie.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
See, I would consider that a date with my husband
because it would just be him and I without our son.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Well see, yes, and I never stage in our life.
I give you that.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, and I agree with that, And that used to
be the way it was when my daughter at twenty one,
was much younger.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Okay, now she can take care of herself, so.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Now you consider a date with or maybe she considers
more of a date when you guys are you know,
cleaning up a bit and going somewhere nice to share
a meal?
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Right?
Speaker 3 (07:09):
And I actually didn't have like any kind of like
negative poopy pants neess because you know what, I wanted
to go out. I felt like getting out, and because
of different things going on with health and wellness over
the last couple of years, it's been few and far between.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
We used to go out all the time.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Now that you've experienced this, is it something you're going
to try to intentionally do more often with it?
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I think I'm gonna need to because you know, once
you set a certain expectation, you've got to keep that
bar high.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
You know, doesn't have to be that often.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
I mean, my husband and I try to do lunch
dates at least twice a month. So can you give
that much to her?
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (07:44):
I absolutely can, And in two thy twenty six I
intend to rent and repeat and duplicate with more date nights.

was at a white Elephant Christmas party and I noticed
that half of the gifts under the tree, the white
Elephant gifts were wrapped in about half of more gift bags.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
And what kind of wrapper would you say you are
for something like that.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
I would have wrapped it because it's Christmas related.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I'm guessing you did not. Oh no, no.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
I found a gift bag in the garage and some
wrapping paper from a Christmas.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Past You're recycled, right.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
And then I grabbed a bottle of wine and some legos,
and I wrapped them with tissue.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Paper and put it in the bag and called it today.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
That's creiet, hey, and that works. It's still wrapping it
in some way, especially for Christmas, though. I think that
my husband and I have agreed that every gift that
we give our son is to be wrapped, because there
is some joy in ripping open that paper Christmas morning.
So I don't want to deprive my kid of that experience.
And for my husband and I I'll only put it
(12:57):
in a bag, Toby, if it's an odd shape. Otherwise
I'll wrap it.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Who picks up the trash after Dinado goes and rips

Presents, we pick it up as we go.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Se Yeah, that's the thing I like about the gift bag.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
The gift bag becomes the trash and you can keep
using it.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
That's right now, Matt. You have a strategy for wrapping,
go ahead.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
My method is simple.
Speaker 6 (13:17):
If it's a very expensive gift, I will take time
to beautifully wrap it, and if it's one of those.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Like you know, hey, I thought of you for this,
then I will definitely gift bag and put some accessories
on it.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
Thanks for the call, Matt. Now I know that if
I ever got a gift from you in a gift bag,
you didn't spend a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
See, I see it as more of a case by
case sort of a basis rap.

You know when it comes to Christmas gifts to you
take time to do meticulous Marie Condo meets Martha Stewart's
sort of wrapping jobs with your presence so that they're
kind of an event under a tree. Or do you
just stick it in a gift bag and call it
a day. There's no right or wrong. We just want
to hear where you stand. Eight six six nine two
(14:29):
seven forty three sixty one, and you can also tap
that talk bag microphone if you're listening to us on
your iHeart app right now.

Because you said earlier that you're pretty much done with
wrapping gifts. Now you're just gonna do the gift bag
or gift boxing from this day forward.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yeah, I did not inherit my grandmother's ability to wrap
gifts with precision, or even my mom's ability to wrap
gifts in such a way that it's like an event
under the tree.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
If it makes you feel any better as a gift receiver,
I usually don't care how someone wrapped a gift for me.
They could literally hand it to me unwrapped, and I'd
be like, thank you so much because they still got something.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
See, it's the thought that counts, right eight sixty six
nineteen seven forty three sixty one in Cheverly, Dan, good morning,

just gonna keep using more tape and more shreds of
paper until it's done.
Speaker 4 (15:27):

in Kensington today. What's your take?
Speaker 1 (15:40):

to make sure that it looked like absolutely perfect.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Oh, Mia, you're that friend. I have one just like you.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
You mean, the ones that go meticulous with bows and
ribbons and certain accud in trument's on a box that
are ultimately going to end up in the trash.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
And then you open it so carefully because you feel
so bad trashing it.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Mia, thank you for jumping in and if you want
to tell us about what kind of a wrapper you are.

time to get out of a party.

nobody else.
