the best Christmas light display. Mike, good morning, how are you?
Speaker 9 (27:29):
Oh man?
Speaker 10 (27:29):
It's been crazy, you know, ever since ever since the
show air the traffic and just the amount of people
coming out has been pretty overwhelming. So it's been pretty.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Wild, well for people who don't know. Mike, your family
has been decorating your Ashburn home and setting it synchronized
to music for years and it is quite a display.
Was there anything that you did this year that's set
it apart that got the attention to the producers of
the TV show?
Speaker 10 (27:56):
Yeah, So we decided that we were going to basically
record our own music Christmas songs, but our own versions
of them, and then sync those up with the house.
That's what we ended up doing on the TV show.
We sent that up over to the network last year
before we even aired. They were pretty excited with the results.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
By the way, if people haven't seen the Horn family home,
it's like Christmas exploded all over your house?
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Can you tell us?
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Chili and I just want to know how much does
it cost to put together something like this with your home?
Speaker 10 (28:27):
I mean, it isn't cheap, but it's something I've been
doing for a long time.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Well, you got over ninety thousand lights, Mike. Two part
question here, When do you start putting it up? And
are you doing this yourself or hiring people?
Speaker 10 (28:40):
Usually early October. I do have some guys that I
hire just to get those panels up on the roof.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
And I know you've going to have those lights up
until the end of the month.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
So it looks like we're targeting the twenty seventh, which
is the Saturday after Christmas, will be probably our last day.
Usually it's going to start at five point thirty every
day I'm looking to put potentially start ending them at
nine o'clock. Even on the weekends, I may stay a
little later, just depending on volume and.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
If people want to watch the show, where do they go?
Speaker 8 (29:10):
