Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome to Wednesday Morning, DC, Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
It's ninety seven point one wash FM, where the number
is eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one,
or you can tap the talk back microphone. We would
love to hear what's going good in your life this morning?
Why are you find in some joy today? What is it?
Could be anything. I feel like we're better as people

(00:26):
as a community when we talk about the things that
we feel great about, because why can't we feel great
about what everybody else is feeling great about? You know,
like Chili for instance, why are you feeling good today?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I coughed less yesterday. Oh that's right now. For those
who didn't know, Chili's Christmas was.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Very influenza filled, it was a very fluey household. But yes,
the cough is always the last thing, yeah, to sort
of and the sairest thing, right, Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
But the most disruptive thing though, is the coughing, Right.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I hear annoying for me, it's like the coughing, but
it's a flemmy cough.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Well, it's like that post nasal drip that causes or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Why are you feeling good?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I'm feeling good this morning because every day I can
say that I'm thankful that I get up and I'm
thankful that I can get around even though.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
It's tough right now.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You know, you really don't know what you've got until
it's gone. And I've been without, like my left knee
being at one hundred percent for you know, the better
part of six months, I would say, and it's and
it's been a thing. But this morning, you know, I
conquered some things. My parents who were here, my dad
who was here helping me out, he went back to
Texas because you know, he's got a life to live,

(01:43):
and well, you know, step by step, I won't say
it's been easy, and I want to say it's been perfect,
but you know what I when you get it done,
even with stress and adversity, it means something. And that's
kind of why I'm thankful this morning, because I'm trying
to get it done even though sometimes it may not
be perfect right now, but per is just around the corner.
So why are you feeling good? Hit us up, Let

All right, so this morning, your morning mindset comes from
the Albert Einstein side of the world. That's right, the
Great Albert Einstein, not to be confused with the Little
Einstein's Google it. Albert Einstein says, learn from yesterday, live
for today, and hope for tomorrow. Don't bring the weight
of your past into what is a future with endless possibilities.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Have you ever I guess, tested your relationship or your
love by having your significant other help you with grooming?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Funny you should say that, ah ha, you know, I
really think that this is the new definition of love.
At least it is in my case, especially after the
last you know, same month in my life, and I'm
sure it's probably the same for you, Chili. Let's talk
about it coming up and if you want to join
us eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one,

(06:12):
and you can tap the talkback microphone right now too
if you're signed in listening on your iHeart app. This
I think is the definition of love. Where Toby and
Chilly in the morning, it's ninety seven point one. Watch
if and when it comes to your personal hygiene, if
you're in a relationship, what beauty slash personal hygiene thing
have you let your significant other do? Tell us all

(06:36):
about it at eight six six nineteen seven forty three
sixty one. Chili, you've been married for a long time,
much longer than I've been together with my significant other,
although she's she and I have been a thing for
quite a while. Yeah, our relationship turned a corner really, Yes,
while I was in the hospital and then at home.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
What exactly happened?

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Oh, she bathed me, oh after your surgery because.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
I couldn't, you know, move around like and she bathes
all of the things.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
I know, I got you.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I was more self conscious than when the nurses did
it at Adventist threehab hospital.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
I mean it was okay, It's.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Not that she hasn't seen before, but it's a very
vulnerable position to be.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
In, yes, especially when you can't run away. And I
know this is not a competition, but I feel like
I have you beat. Okay, what happened after I had
my double mistake tomy?

Speaker 4 (07:28):
I couldn't move my arms back, you know, so my
husband helped me go to the bathroom. Oh that's way
more vulnerable, I think, because I don't need to explain
anything more.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
No, and that's why I'm speechless right now. But that's
why we're so lucky.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
We have partners who have done those things for us, right,
and they still love us.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
So tell us about the grooming you've done for your
significant other. Eight six six nine two seven forty three
sixty one. She jumped in really quickly. She is from Fairfax, Chelsea.
What happened? Good morning?

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Hair? Okay? And how did it turn out?

Speaker 5 (08:02):
It doesn't look great.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
It looks like you got run over by a lawnmower.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I remember feeling the same way when I had to
cut my husband's hair during the pandemia.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
It'll grow back, I hope you know well, Chelsea. Thankfully
it does grow back. That's right.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
God Willing eight sixty six nine two three sixty one.
Thanks for the call this morning. So tell us what
you've done for your partner grooming. What have you done
for them that's made you go wow. We'll get back
to the conversation coming up in minutes. We do need
to get you up to speed with the news. Toby
and Chilly's top stories at the top of the hour.
That's next, not one Chilli, not two, but three Toby

(08:38):
and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven point one
wash FM. Right around eight forty this morning.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
We're going to kick off over three hours of commercial
free music for your workday.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Ninety seven point one WASHFM, Washington.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
At iHeartRadio station. Coming up on top stories.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Top of the Hour, developers have announced their plans for
the former key Bridge Marriott site in Roslin. We got
details on that story and more on the way as
Toby and Chile in the Morning continues on ninety seven
point one wash f Em.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I really wanted to bring this up because my dad
was here. Now he's back in South Texas, flew out
of Reagan. Toby and Chilly in the Morning. It's ninety
seven point one wash at them. He was here for
a week, Chili. The thing that really made me go
wow is that my dad came up here for a
week with one small roller suitcase like.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
A carryons the carryons. Oh, that's impressive. I was like,
how do you do that?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
And then I saw the study that says, ladies, you
pack double what you need for a week. I guess
you take sixty plus clothing items for seven days.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Is that true?

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Maybe back when I was younger, it was true, And
I think sometimes it's because we just have bulkier items,
like our different shoes. Sometimes women pack extra because they
don't know what mood they're going to be in when
they go on this trip.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
But I've gotten it down to a science now.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I definitely if it's for a weekend, like a three
day trip, nothing more than a carry on. And if
it's for one week, it's that next size up, which
is the smaller suitcase.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
I can do it. I don't know how y'all do that.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Well, are you an overpacker or are you an efficient packer?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I'm just a bad packer. What makes you bad? Overpacked?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
I get the big suitcase and I just fill it up.
Oh no, And then if I need a carry on
suitcase or a second bag, well I've got one for that.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
So then you're typically like a woman in this case,
I guess yes.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
And now I'm thinking about somebody I dated once who,
in addition to her clothing, big rolling bags, right, she
had one that was just hair, accessories and makeup.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
It was just ridiculous. I'm not that high maintenance. Thank god.
If you want to read more, we've got you covered.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
The stories to Toby and chillipage waschefm dot com coming
up Chili, who is not high maintenance. She's very well informed.
