Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point one.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Wash it Out with Toby at Chilly in the Morning.
It's ninety seven point one. Watch it fim.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
That's what happens when I swallowed something wrong before I
turn on the microphone.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I know what you're feeling good this morning. I'm having
this I swallowed wrong issue. But how was Donado's performance
last night? Good?

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (00:21):
Yes, very good.

Speaker 6 (00:23):
He had his uh Wizard of Oz performance and he
was great on stage. There's another rinse and repeat performance
tonight and then it's over.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yes, that's right finally.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
But you know what, though, good for him, because that's
got to be quite the confidence builder. There's nothing like
being on stage, learning all of your lines, performing in
something that requires ensemble people around you to also perform
at their Bestketball well, and I know he was a
little bit sick, so that had to be a little
bit scary for you, mom.

Speaker 6 (00:53):
Really, from the beginning, this was a big challenge because
when you have ADHD and other NeuroD vergent things happening,
the emotional regulation is a challenge.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Oh true, that's true.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Even when you're an adult and you have ADHD, the
emotional regulation is a challenge.

Speaker 6 (01:10):
So as parents were really excited and proud that he
he was able to use some of his coping strategies
whenever he was triggered by good stuff. But anyway, yes, yeah,
that's why I feel like good, what about you did well?

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Me?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I slept?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
You know what, I'm so thankful that I've become, in
the course of being chronically ill with different things over
the last two years or so, I've learned to listen
to my body, and my body last night like basically
put a check engine light on in the form of
just things that I was feeling. So I was like,
you know, what time to go to bed? And I
went to bed at like eight o'clock ish, which is

(01:45):
way early for me normally I'm like trying to be
a night oulan, pushing it a little bit further than that.
But I just slept, and I woke up this morning
and I felt good and I felt charged a bit,
and you know, I had the first glass of water
and I'm like, ah, all right, time to take on
the day. So you know what, little things like that

(02:06):
are big things, especially if you're used to burning the
candle at both ends and then trying to ignore it,
so hopefully you get the chance to do some recharging
and unwinding today. If not today, definitely this weekend. Toby
and Chilly in the morning on this Wednesday here at
ninety seven point one, watch FM. The news is on
the way top story at the top of the hour.

maybe it might help you to turn it around or
give you a quick boost. You never know, it's on

(04:49):
the way in minutes. Stay with time now for your
morning mindset. Ninety seven point one wash CHEFM, Toby and
Chilly in the morning.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Because you are the.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Reason we're even here and we are not that is
not lost on us, and that's why it's important to
us that you have a great day today.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
And to help you have a great day, we want
you to start with your mental health and get you
getting you there with a quote.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
So Steve Jobs, the muse behind Apple, says, the people
who are crazy enough to think they can change the
world are the ones who do. The people who are
crazy enough to think that they can change the one
world are the ones who do. Steve Jobs, So what
does this mean? You know, people look at you sideways.

(05:31):
They think, yeah, Okay, he's just whatever. Whatever, she's just whatever.
But you know the thing about you is this, you
dare to dream differently on purpose and you're not apologetic
about it. That boldness is the foundation of real transformation.
Keep that in mind today and you keep on dreaming
differently because you know what you can and you will

(05:53):
change the world if you believe it. Steve Jobs, thank
you and if that helped you this morning might help
somebody else. And if you need it, you'll find it
the Toby at Chilipage washfm dot com or feel free
to message myself or Chili. We'll make sure we get
it to you because we know that sometimes that's important.
Thanks for letting us be a part of your morning
here at ninety seven point one wash CHEFM.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
We're in just a few minutes. We're going to talk about.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Yeah, when did nature call at the most inconvenient time?
Now you hinted at this, Toby, but I want details
of where you were.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Let me count the ways. Give us less than ten okay,
ninety seven point one WASHFM, Good early morning. We're Toby
and Chilly in the morning.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Fun fact, people who may or may not know this
about the Metro. In DC.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Metro stations have public bathrooms. Now they're behind locked doors.
You have to ask to use them. I learned this
by reading something on the Internet of Things, and I
put it into practice. Coming back from the Shakespeare at
Theater one night, had to go the second highest calling
hit me oh in a very profound sort of way.
It was a very inconvenient time because I wanted to

(06:57):
get home and the Metro train was coming. I saw
that it was going to be you're like two minutes
to get to Shady Grove, But that was plenty of
time for me to do what I needed to do.
So I shuffled over, because that's what you do when
you have to go real bad. You shuffle over to
the station manager and I go, Hey, I know you
guys have restrooms. Do you mind if I use the

(07:17):
public restrooms?

Speaker 6 (07:18):
Listen, very brave of you to even consider using a
metro bathroom.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
But I know it.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
But you know what, you'd be surprised, First of all,
the kind Metro station manager let me use the bathroom.
It was surprisingly clean, huh, recently renovated. Yes, okay, and
you too, could ask if you want to use the
one right there at Capitol One Arena, say next time
you're downtown.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Wow, that's a busy one. That's impressive.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
But when nature calls, sometimes you gotta go. Now, that's
my story about using the Metro public restroom. I understand, Lacey,
thank you for listening to us this morning in Silver Spring.
You had nature call it an inconvenient time.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
What happened?

Speaker 7 (08:00):
I was hiking and all of a sudden really had
the need to go, like, really had the need to go.
I looked around and there were no bathrooms for facilities
for as Lee's a mile, so I had no choice. O.
Could you lie the nearby tree and a napkin in
my pocket?

Speaker 6 (08:15):
Lacy, I have never been able to do that without issues.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
Okay, that's impressive.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
I will never look at the billy goat trail and
trees the same way.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
She watered the plants.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
is the number of talkbacks wide open two If you're
signed into your iHeart out taps speak and send.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Mike good morning in Vienna. So what happened?

Speaker 7 (08:40):
Oh? I was sucking traffic at about thirty minutes from
my house.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
I seriously consider.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
Pulling over and just going on the side of the road,
but I've managed to get off the Parkway and find
a master shop that thankfully let me use the bathroom.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
Oh man, that was the worst.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
You know.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
If I had done something like that, I would feel
so guilty. I'd be like, how much is that pillow?

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Good comforters, It's ninety seven point one wash FM, Toby
and Chilly in the morning. If nature came calling at
an inconvenient time, you want to tell us your story, talkbacks,
wide open, taps, speak and send.

new stop stories at the top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
It's on the way.

Speaker 6 (09:19):

Speaker 3 (11:10):
So over the weekend, I was over at Rose Gaming
Resort down down south of the Bowl. It's a really
cool place if you haven't been, and I found out
about a very cool hack from somebody who was there
doing what they do at these gaming resorts, you know,
playing the machines and whatnot. She had this hack that
I've got to share with you because it might be

(11:31):
something that helps you save some money next time you
go to a gaming resort or maybe to a casino.
Tell you all about it. Coming up in just minutes
is Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Continue Toby and
Chilly in the Morning. It is ninety seven point one
watch f M six twenty four on this Wednesday, April ninth.
You know, you should always try to learn new things,
and if you put that into your mindset, you can
learn new things from really anybody you're around over the

(11:53):
weekend chili.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I was in Dumfries at the Rose Gaming Resort.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
And it's it's like a cascena, but they don't have
table games gaming resort. They have gaming consoles, which you
kind of like slot machines, but they're called gaming consoles.
I learned that, and then I learned from a security
guard that there is a woman who's a regular because
they're open twenty four hours, you know, and people go
in there all the time. Sure, and there's a woman
who goes and she went on Amazon and she bought

(12:18):
like a little lock box okay, like a little like
imagine it's like a purse, but it's like a like
a locked purse.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
That's piggybank with keys, right.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Well, she leaves the keys at home and she goes
and she gambles and she plays these games all night
and whatnot, and she puts her winnings in the lock box,
the key being at home. So the idea is that
she can't get into her winnings and when she's finished
her budgeted money for whatever she's doing at the gaming resort,

(12:48):
she's done, and then if she's gonna try to go
get the money, she's out of the lock box. She's
got to go home and get it, and by then
she's probably gonna go to bed.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
I am impressed with that little hack of hers because
I believe it. I'm like, yes, because we've if you've
ever been in that position, even if you're not a
regular gambler, right, you put in a few quarters or
a few dollars, you maybe come out even it's really
hard to stop yourself sometimes from going a little extra,

(13:17):
cause you can talk yourself into one more dollar.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
I don't know if this happens to you or your
aunties or whatever, because everybody's got those aunties family, they
have their way, right. But see, I'll go in there
and I'll budget, like, say, fifty dollars, right, and I'll
start winning, and then the demons on my shoulders start going.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
You're up.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
You're playing with house money exactly.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
You're playing with the house money. Next thing I know,
I'm like, well there went the mortgage.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
I'm so glad that she doesn't try to break that
lock box open. She just got to stick to her
system and she can't get into it, and she gets
all the way back home to the key.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
The things you learned from security guards with Rose Gaming Resort.
I'll be trying this one now if you find if
you come, because I know how you like to shop
on Amazon Chilly, if you come across one of these
little lock boxes, send me links because you get that
thing prom I've got to go back there in a
couple of weeks, and I will absolutely try that if
it means I get to walk away with winnings that

(14:13):
will ultimately go to pay college tuition.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Speaking of winnings, Shelby.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
M Chilli's nearly impossible question, what.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Is the question this morning?

Speaker 6 (14:21):
Well, fourteen percent of people would be reluctant to take
this job because they would probably be yelled at for
doing it.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
The number is eight six six nine two seven forty
three sixty one. The Weekend is bringing his tour to
the Northwest Stadium in August. Thanks to Live Nation, you
could be there. Here's the question again one more time.

Speaker 6 (14:39):
Fourteen percent of people would be reluctant to take this
job because it'd probably be yelled at.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
is the number. Take a guess you could win, and
we'll all learn something about getting yelled at if we
take a certain job. I'm just saying, stay there, you'll
find out the answer coming up. The nearly impossible question Toby.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
And Chilly's nearly impossible questions, All.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Roight, what's the question? One more time?

Speaker 6 (15:05):
Fourteen percent of people say they'd be reluctant to take
this job because they'd probably be yelled at.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
What is it? All right?

Speaker 3 (15:13):
The numbers eight sixty six, nineteen seven, forty three, sixty one.
The Weekend come into town thanks to Live Nation, we
can get you in. Good morning, Jonathan and Arlington.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
How are you? You've got the question? What is your guess?

Speaker 1 (15:25):
I was singing a collection agent?

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Would you ever consider being a debt collector? Collection agent?
Do you get you certainly would get yelled often?

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Absolutely not?

Speaker 3 (15:35):
And do you think you have thick skin enough that
you could maybe possibly maybe if you had to consider
it do it?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
I probably could if I had to. Well, let's hope
you don't have to.

Speaker 6 (15:47):
Yeah, and uh, the good news for you there is
that is the correct to answer. Jonathan. You win tickets
to go see The Weekend on August second.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
And Northwest Stadium. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Congratulations with the ticket to yours from ninety seven point
one WASHFM.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Go ahead and answer the phone.

Speaker 3 (16:06):

truck trying to say he's got your car. And enjoy
the weekend from ninety seven point one WASHFM, where you
get top stories at the top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
On the way in just minutes hangout.

Speaker 1 (16:20):

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Three people are dead, three more wounded after a shooting
in Sponsovania County happened around five point thirty yesterday afternoon.
Nor rest has been made as a result of that incident.
Public schools in both Sponsovania County and Fredericksburg opening two
hours late today. China says it will take quote resolute
and effective measures to protect its interests in response to

(16:45):
steep President Trump administration tariffs. The President is imposing tariffs
of one hundred four percent on Chinese imports. At least
ninety eight people have died after a roof collapsed at
a nightclub in the Dominican Report public yesterday. Among the
dead are two former MLB players. DC Council member Charles

(17:06):
Allen wants to stop ticket resellers from jacking up concert prices.
He introduced a bill to cap resale markups at ten percent,
saying that price gouging makes it tough for fans to

going on the Red Line since the system launched in December.

(17:27):
Trains of overshot platforms over two hundred times, and they
say until that is fixed, the panel says expansion will
not be allowed. And according to a recent study, owning
a pet can have a significant positive impact on life
satisfaction and well being. Researchers say that it's actually equivalent

(17:48):
to the happiness that you gain from an extra eighty
nine thousand dollars a year.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
For ACAST four.

Speaker 6 (17:54):
Today there is a freeze warning and effect until nine
this morning. Otherwise, lots of sun with highs around fifty
five right now twenty nine in Silver Spring.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Our number is eight sixty six nine two seven forty
three sixty one. You've got Toby and Chilly in the morning,
and I was thinking you might want to call us
and tell us about a sentence or some advice that
you were given once upon a time. It's kind of
become like a life mantra if you will. It's stuck
with you.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Now.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
We bring this up because I understand that producer Taylor
Say has something she was told once upon a time
that really kind of helps guide her or guided her
through a very interesting situation. And I think maybe we'll
all be able to relate. So we'll talk about this
coming up, and if you've had something that has stuck
with you, we would love to hear from you at
eight sixty six ninet two seven forty three sixty one,

(18:42):
or if you're logged in talk back microphone works on
your iHeart app tap speak, send us a voice note.
We love to hear from you, and we will coming up.
Once upon a time, somebody probably said something to you,
a sentence, a mantra that's stuck with you.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
What was it?

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Eight sixty six ninety two, seven forty three sixty one
is the number where Toby and Chilly in the morning
at ninety seven point one. And if you're signed in
listening to us on your iHeart app, you can use
the talk back microphone to tell us what that might
have been for you. Now, the reason this comes up
is because producer Taylor Shay, Well.

Speaker 8 (19:10):
My dad, who was married three times. He told me
when I met my second husband, who I've been with
for thirteen years. The first one was a very short
two year marriage in my early twenties. And when he
met my current husband, he said, sometimes you got to
do it wrong to know how to do it right,
and this one's right.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
You know.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
And the fact that he did it three times himself.
Kind of an expert, that guy, exactly.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
And that's the kind of wisdom that could apply to
anything in life. Really, if you think about a job's life,
love relationships.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Your dad genius.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
You'd love to hear that.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
By the way, well hopefully somewhere he just did.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Tilly, is there anything that sticks in your mind that
you were told once upon a time?

Speaker 6 (19:50):
Parenting a neurodivergent child, and really pretty much any child,
I think you could take into consideration, worry more about
connection than correction, because sometimes that's what a kid needs
in that moment of dysregulation. It was just like to
connect with them.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
What about you, Well, Mimimi used to say, if it's
worms and warswre butts, a frog would have wings in
a wooden bumms butt.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
WHOA.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Yeah, I don't exactly know what that means, but my
grandmother said it so to me. It was profound. I
was poetic Toby and Chilly in the morning here at
ninety seven pointy one watch FM. I kind of joke,
but there's probably something to it if you know what
it is. Talkback microphone works, but more importantly, if you've
got a mantra, if somebody told you something once in life,
much like Taylor Shay's father told her, why don't you

(20:32):
call us and tell us what that was? Because it
might help us as we live our lives. It could
help somebody listening as they're going through what they're going through.
Talkback microphone works to tap speaks and if you're signing
to your iHeart app, we can't wait to hear what
some of that wisdom is now. Leslie, good morning, Thank
you for listening to us in Silver Spring.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
What you got.

Speaker 6 (20:50):
Even if you step on the bee, make sure you
take in the.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Beautiful, Leslie, you know that's very profound.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
I imagine you walking through a garden and you know
you bees they've got to pollinate flowers and such.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
It's springtime.

Speaker 6 (21:01):
Yeah, it's only beautiful if they're alive to do it.
Though she stepped on it, Well, you have.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
To suspend belief for the purposes of a good metaphor.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Thank you, Leslie, thank you, and if you've got something
to offer, feel free. We're listening right now and we'll
get to it coming up.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
As Toby and Chilly in the Morning continue, somebody told
you a sentence once that became a mantra for your life.
It's something that you go back to as you live
through whatever life brings your way. Toby and Chilly in
the Morning, ninety seven point one wash FM talking about
it this morning because our producer Taylor Shea shared something
that her father told her once upon a time about
a previous marriage. You know, basically, sometimes, and I'm not

(21:38):
going to say it as eloquently as he did, sometimes
you have to kiss a frog in order to find
your prints.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (21:43):
As he put it, sometimes you got to get it
wrong to get it right right, and.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
You do, and not just relationships, but in anything in life.
And that's a sentence that became kind of like a
mantra for her. Got us talking about these things, and
we wanted to hear from you about something that somebody
said to you once upon it time that really resonated.
The numbers eight sixty six nine two seven forty three
sixty one talk back microphones wide open too for you
if you're signed in listening on your iHeart, if you

(22:09):
could tap speak and send and tell us everything. IVY,
good morning and thank you for listening to us. In Dumfries.

Speaker 6 (22:15):
This was from one of my teachers I remember in
like middle school.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
She was.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
She said, you know, we all basically want the same
things in life.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
We want to do well. Like We're all the same
basically at the heart of it.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
And I think where we differ is how we think
to achieve those things.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Yes, why can't we just keep it simple and get along?
That's right?

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Why can't we all just get along? Crystal, Good morning
in Poulsville.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
If you want to.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Do something, just start, you know, you really just have
to just get it going and then everything will kind
of fall in place. But if you don't, if you're
just too worried to start something, then it's just never
going to happen, obviously, you know. That's great.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
It reminds me of a cartoon to just stare case
and somebody taking the first step saying, if you don't
do that, you'll never get to the top.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
It's very deep.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Chilli It reminds me of some lyrics to a song
that says, can't you see me standing here? I got
my back against the record machine. Okay, I ain't the
worst that you've seen. Can't you see what I mean?
I might as well jump? Okay, Van Halen, go ahead
and jump.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
I'm good.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Top Stories at the Top of the Hour otherwise known
as the News on.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
The Way.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Top Stories Top of the Hour.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
Spotsvania County police say three people are dead three wounded
after a shooting yesterday.

Speaker 5 (23:33):
No suspects have been arrested.

Speaker 6 (23:34):
Meanwhile, Spotsovania County and Fredericksburg City schools are opening two
hours late today.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
Well.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
China just raised tariffs to eighty four percent on goods
coming from the US. In an additional counter measure, yesterday,
President Trump's tariffs of one hundred and four percent went
into effect on Chinese exports to the US. Legislation has
been introduced in the DC Council to significantly crack down
against ticket resellers and other middlemen. Council Member Charles Allen

(24:04):
is seeking to put a ten percent cap on the
resale price of tickets. The Army is bringing back horse
drawn casins for some funerals at Arlington National Cemetery starting
June first. They were paused three years ago after two
horses died, but now they'll be used in up to
two funerals a day, and it's capped at ten per week.

(24:26):
The Washington Capitals are going to be honoring Alex Ovechkin's
new NHL goal scoring record with several events. So today,
eight hundred and ninety five fourth and fifth graders are
going to be attending a special practice at Medstark ice Plex,
and then a ceremony will take place before tomorrow night's
game against the Hurricanes. And then on Friday, there's an
event planned at Union Station. And finally, yeah, Easter not

(24:48):
just for kids. According to a survey, three and five
adults would like to get an Eastern basket of their own,
while thirty six percent prefer gift cards in their basket.
Sixty nine percent of adults say there has to be
some chocolate in there too. Forecast board today a freeze
warning in effect for about another hour. Otherwise, a sunny

(25:09):
day with highs around fifty five. Right now thirty three
in Stafford.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
And that's the news.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Remember tell your friends you get top stories at the
top of the hour when you wake up with Toby
and Chilly in the morning. Here at ninety seven point one,
watch Chef m Washington's variety from the eighties, nineties, and
today coming up. Can't wait to share this with you,
an exclusive conversation that Chilli and I had with Maren Morris,
a superstar, incredible singer. She's picked up Grammys. She's also
now an award winning children's book author. Her and her

(25:36):
bestie Karna Argo, have written the second book in a series.
It's called Beatrix Butterfly Wings It for Once. She'll tell
us all about it. It's available everywhere now. You don't
want to miss this conversation coming up in less than
fifteen minutes. It is quite an honor to have these
two women on the phone. One is a Grammy winning
artist who you might have heard of. She's also a

(25:57):
best selling author. Maren Morris and her longtime BFF, our
best friend.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Karina Argo is here.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Together they've created this beloved children's book series, ADDIE's Aunt's
Garden Friends, and now their second book, Beatrix Butterfly Wings
It for Once. It's everywhere now, ladies, welcome, Thank you.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
I love that your friendship created such a beautiful story
for these kids. I want to ask Maren when it
came time to write the first one, who came to
whom with the idea? Was it your friend or was
it you going to Karina?

Speaker 9 (26:34):
I mean, we were together on my bus after a
show and we were just staying up late, talking as
we do, and I think it just came together really
organically because we were talking about all the books that
my son loves for me to read to him. And
I was like, yeah, I can't remember who said what,
but it was something about like, at some point I

(26:55):
would love to write a children's album or write a
children's book. Karina I was like, well, actually, I have
a ton of characters that I've created in my head
when I'm out in my garden. And I was like, well,
there you go. It feels silly to not chase this down.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (27:10):
That's kind of how our first book was made, and
then luckily went well and we were able to write
our second book, which is Beatrix Butterfly Wings over One.
With this book, it's all about not overloading your plate
for the day with plans and to do's. I think
it's about calming down, settling down and just getting to

(27:31):
one thing for the day, because it's very adult and
childlike to feel overwhelmed, and so I felt like that
was we felt like that was a great lesson for
this book.

Speaker 6 (27:42):
Karina Marin said that you've got a lot of characters
or bugs in your head. What can we expect? We've
got Addie and we got Beatrix Butterfly. What's next looking forward?

Speaker 4 (27:52):
I don't know if you've noticed this, but Addie is
a summer book and Beatrix is turning into like a
fall book. So the next step is going to be
a winter story. And what happens in the garden when
it's all covered in snow?

Speaker 5 (28:04):
What emotion should we look forward to with that? Or
have you not figured that out yet?

Speaker 4 (28:08):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (28:08):
We figured it out.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
It's going to be about when you have your friends
around you to give you a little push and to
encourage you to do something that you're afraid about.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Is there a moment that feels really just especially personal
or emotional for either one of you?

Speaker 2 (28:23):
What was it?

Speaker 9 (28:24):
Each time you write something, it's something to do with
like you healing your inner child a little bit too.
With this, it's like, I think we all get overwhelmed
and we all feel like we're not doing enough. It's
so progress report related to feel like a person. Nowadays,
everything is like output over input. It's like you're telling
yourself to take a beat and know that you know

(28:44):
you're worthy and you're valuable, even if you don't get
everything on your list done that day.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
It's everywhere now. Beatrix's butterfly wings it for once, go
and get it. Marin Karna, thank you both so much
for being here, but most importantly, thank you for the
meaning full stories that you've given us as parents to
share with our families.

Speaker 9 (29:04):
Ladies, thank you, Anes great sweet, thank you so much.
