Toby and Chili mornings on demand on ninety seven point
one wash them.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'd ask you if you're feeling good this morning here
before five chilly ninety seven point one wash that VM
Toby and Chili in the morning.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
But I know you've got a infirmary at home.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Son and husband sick. No, well, no, yes they are, Yes,
they are sick. But I am feeling good this morning.
But literally feeling well this morning.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Well, knock on wood, you see, I feel that way.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
So that's why, you know, that's one of the reasons
I'm feeling good. But I was going to say something
else about feeling what's that go ahead? We got an
email asking if we wanted to renew our pool membership,
which of course we do, but that means we're getting
awfully close to that Memorial Day opening.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yes, I know.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
You know.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
That's the one thing that I wish And I'm not
trying to pooh pooh these pools, these public pools.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Because I've had to live with it since I've been here.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I just wish that they would keep the pools open
based on the weather, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
They have to staff them.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Like willy nilly.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
I know, it's wishful thinking, I know, so like college students.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Or I know it's wishful thinking.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I know, you know, it's It's a good morning for
me because like, the last person I talked to last
night was my significant other and she's been in the
other side of the world for like the last few weeks,
and then the last two days had been really really
busy for her because she just had a lot of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Work going on.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
But having that moment to talk before I went to sleep,
that was just a little thing that made a big difference.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
So I woke up feeling good because.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
We just had a quick talk and it wasn't really
about anything spectacular.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
You know, sometimes it doesn't have to be.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
No, it's always nice to have somebody a last call
when you're in a relation.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Bark of feeling you know. Yeah, hopefully you're feeling good
this morning too. Thanks for waking up with us. Ninety
seven point one wash them tell us how you're doing
at eighty six six, ninet two, seven forty three sixty
one Top Stories, Top the Hour, that's the news.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Well, the exterior lights at the Kennedy Center will be
changing permanently. We've got all the details on the way.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Top stories Top of the Hour.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Top story is presented by Celsius Energy Drinks. A federal
judge said yesterday she's going to order the Trump administration
officials to testify under oath about failing to return Kilmar
Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to a now Salvador prison.
The judge said that they have ignored a clear Supreme
(02:35):
Court order. A person was arrested yesterday after stabbing it
after rather stabbing a Metro transit officer in the face
at the Navy Yard station. It all happened when the
officers stopped the person for not paying the fare. Thankfully,
the officer is expected to recover DC residents. New budget
(02:55):
cuts were coming after Congress slashed the city's funding back
in March. Well now it's official. Mayor Muriel Bowser's team
announced yesterday that hiring is on hold. There is no
more overtime pay after April twenty seventh, and raises, bonuses,
and promotions are also frozen. Despite one resident's account, officials
say that an alligator is not living in Germantown. No
(03:16):
evidence was found of a gator living in a small
pond near the Maryland Soccer plegues, even though a neighbor
reported seeing one chilling out near the surface. The Kennedy
Center's exterior lighting will now permanently feature the colors of red, white,
and blue. This is one of several changes enacted after
the President appointed himself chairman of the Kennedy Center Board
(03:40):
and sadly, former game show host Wink Martindale has died.
He was ninety one and best known for hosting Tic
Tac Dough High Rollers and a bunch of other shows
throughout his career. Forecast today partly cloudy skies with highs
in the upper fifties right now forty four in Bethesda.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Don't forget tell all your friends you get top stories
at the top of the hour with ninety seven point
one WASHFM. The station it actually takes some time in
the morning to care about you and how you're doing
with your morning mindset that is on the way in
just minutes. Maybe you need a little mental pick me up. Well,
hopefully we can help stay there. It's ninety seven point
one wash FM. The number one reason we are here
(04:17):
is you. Ninety seven point one WASHFM. We're Toby and
Chilly in the morning, and that's why we take time
every morning around this time to talk about you and
your headspace.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Now, your morning mindset quote is something that you can
take with you throughout the day and think about.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Love this. Hopefully you'll let this sink in. Albert Einstein says,
creativity is intelligence having fun. Creativity is intelligence having fun.
Some people don't think you can be intelligent and have fun.
I would tell you it really resonates with me because
you know, if you're having fun, you are at your
(04:54):
most creative, and that is true intelligence to me. It's
not a distraction play. It's the keta genius and Albert
Einstein would know a thing or two about being a genius.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Hope that helped.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
If it did, and you need to read it again
or you want to send it to somebody who might
need it, hit us up Toby and Chilipage WASHFM dot com.
That is your morning mindset now coming up in just
a few minutes. Stay with Toby and Chilly in the
morning because.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
It is passover and then we have Easter this weekend.
But is there something unconventional you do to celebrate the holiday.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
There's no right, no wrong, there's just you doing what
you do. Eight sixty six ninety seven forty three sixty
one is the number. Talk back wide open too. If
you're signed in listening to us on your iHeart app,
you can tap speak and send us a quick voice
note eight six six ninet two seven forty three sixty
one Toby and Chilly in the morning. Talkback also works
if you're listening to us on your iHeart app and
(05:46):
it's easier tap speak send us a voice note. We
love when you get involved with the conversations that we're
having here at ninety seven point one WASHFM, and this
morning we're talking about some unconventional things people do to
observe Easter or Passover. Now, if you're of said persuasion,
we're in the midst of the Holy week of Passover
(06:07):
Easter this weekend. There are people Chili who you and
I were talking off the air a minute ago that
have taken the decoration of Easter eggs to a different level.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
They're doing marshmallows instead. They're coloring marshmallows just because marshmallows
are cheaper the jumbo ones. Of course.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
So between our producer Tailor Shay, who talked about coloring potatoes,
the egg is slowly being pushed or phased out of
the Easter equation, which probably has nothing to do with costs.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
And then when it comes to Passover, I know that
people are substituting certain things from the traditional Passover Satyr,
which is unleaven bread. They're taking unleven motza crackers, I guess,
and turning them into pizzas. I've seen that all over Instagram.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Later, that's true, that's another little hack.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Toby and Chili in the morning eight six six ninet two,
seven forty three sixty one. Is there something unconventional you
do to observe Easter or maybe Passover?
Speaker 3 (07:04):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
We love hearing from you, Lacy, Good morning, Thanks for
listening in Rockville.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
What is it?
Speaker 6 (07:09):
I like to hide Easter eggs with brutally honest fortunes inside,
like he's not texting you back because he's just not
into you. And then it turns the egg hunt into
a softcore intervention with candy.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
I mean, Jesus's resurrection is supposed to be a promise
of hope for your future. That kind of brutal honesty
could be.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Really judgment salvation. Judgment salvation. I don't pretend to speak
for the Christ, but I'm thinking maybe Chili's onto something.
Thank you, though for jumping into the conversation this morning.
It's ninety seven point one. Watch FM Michael, thank you
for listening and landover.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
What's up my family?
Speaker 1 (07:47):
We order taken for Easter.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
We took a different place every year, and.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
This year is my sister Sernitude, and she wants Chinese food,
So I guess we're having Chinese food for Easter.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Thank you for jumping in.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
So that reminder to me of some of my Jewish
friends who order Chinese food for Christmas dinner.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
That's because they're always open on those holy holidays.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Ninety seven point one Watch FM Toby and Chilly in
the morning. You got thoughts, tap the talk back microphone
to share them with us. Look forward to hearing them.
And if you need the news, we'll get you covered
with top stories at the top of the hour. On
the way in minutes.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Top Stories Top of the hour.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
President Trump says he would like to send US citizens
who committed violent crimes to foreign prisons. In El Salvador.
He said, quote, we're looking into it, and we want
to do it, referring to them as quote homegrown criminals.
A Metro Transit officer was hospitalized after being stabbed in
the face by a fair evader at Navy Yard Station.
(08:46):
This happened around two thirty yesterday. The suspect was arrested
and the officer is expected to recover. The DC government
is taking steps to close a budget gap forced by Congress.
Mayor Muriel Bowser sent a memo to all dCas agencies
yesterday ordering US spending and hiring freeze, and she also
wants the city administrator to come up with a plan
for possible furloughs and facility closures. The Kennedy Center is
(09:11):
making red, white and blue a permanent part of its
outdoor lighting. The performance arts venue is usually lit in white,
although other colors have been used for special events or
to support different causes. In the final minutes of the
legislative session, Maryland lawmakers have named the Orange Crush the
official state cocktail. The drink was created thirty years ago
(09:34):
at Harborside Bar and Grill in Ocean City, Maryland, which
mixes orange vodka, Triple sec Fresh orange and sprite. And
autism cases in the US are on the rise with
new CDC data showing that one in thirty one children
are diagnosed with autism at the age of eight. This
(09:56):
was back in twenty twenty two. That's compared to one
in thirty seve twenty twenty. Experts attribute the increase to
better awareness and access to screaming. Forecast for today, party
Cloudy's guys with highs in the upper fifties right now
forty three in Springfield.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Top stories at top of the hour. Let's call the news.
That's what you get when you wake up with Toby
and Chilly in the morning. Here at ninety seven point
one wash FM. Chili coming up. Let's talk about this
Blue Origin flight, the all female space flight that uh, well,
it's got people feeling some sort of way on both sides.
It's a big, multifaceted conversation that people are having. Some
(10:35):
see it as a milestone for representation. Others, well, let's
just say they have questions about substance and timing. Want
to get your take on this, so let's talk coming
up next to Toby and Chilly in the morning continues
and by the way, stick around. Feel free to join
the conversation if you want to. At eight sixty six
nine two seven forty three sixty one Thanks forgetting to
(10:56):
know us with Toby and Chilly in the morning here
at ninety seven point one Wash FM. It is six
twenty three on this Wednesday, April sixteenth, and a lot
of people are talking about Monday's Blue Origin spaceflight, the
all female crew which included Oprah's best friend Gail King,
who obviously is a TV presenter, and then Katie Perry,
who has written a few songs.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Perhaps maybe you've heard of her.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
This is one of those topics Chile that I say
it has people feeling some sort of way because there
are a lot of opinions on all sides, and I
think somewhere therein lies the truth. But everybody's opinion is
somewhat valid when it comes to this thing.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
So what I thought I would do is sort of
summarize what some of the critics were saying.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
They thought it was like performative feminism. They said that
the mission prioritize optics over substance and it overshadowed real
female space pioneers. They thought also that it was wasteful
and tone deaf amid the climate and economic crisis were
going through. And then there's the elitism right, like it
was high profile figures, it's more of a pub felicity stunt.
(12:01):
What kind of scientific achievement was this anyway?
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Well, and then conversely, there's the side that says, you
know what, this is great for women going to space,
and it's great for the idea that, you know, what
was once considered a guy's thing, going to space, the
whole massa thing, the whole space flight thing, it's now
more equal as a result of their flight.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
And you know, space tourism is in the future, But
how accessible is it really for regular folks?
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Well, you know, here's the thing. The bottom line is is, yeah,
I can't defend the fact that some pretty well known
people known for being well known, and some pretty wealthy
people went up But there were some others that went
up to yes, like aerospace engineer A Y. Shabou who
went up there with a civil rights activist, Amanda When
and they did some research right women's health and micro gravity.
(12:56):
I just find it incredible that we're living in a
time when space travel is within reach for kids like
me who used to dream about going to space camp,
who grew up down the street from Johnson Space Center,
you know, isn't it an amazing time? Isn't it an
amazing time for those who look you know, for once
upon a time, people who dreamed of this stuff. This
really is a unique moment, no matter what side you
(13:19):
stand on, even if that side is the side that
doesn't care about this, because you have so many other
things to exactly course of life, exactly, and you just
want the chance to do something really cool down the
street right here in the DMB.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Kelby and Chilli's nearly Impossible Questions, and.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
That's where this game comes in.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
At eight six six nine two seven forty three sixty one,
what is the question today?
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Well, the number one thing purchased at dollar stores is what?
What is the number one thing that people purchase? It
like the dollar tree?
Speaker 3 (13:48):
All right?
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Eight sixty six ninet two, seven forty three sixty one
is the number. Andrea Bocelli coming to town Christmas time.
It's going to be an incredible show. You could be
there if you call eight six six ninet two, seven
forty three sixty one right now in answer this question correctly.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
The number one thing that's purchased at dollar stores is what?
Speaker 3 (14:05):
All right, you got the question? Let's learn something together.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Call now play win your nearly impossible question on for
this Wednesday, April sixteenth, Toby.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
And Chilly's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
What is the question? Again? One more time, just in
case some people might have missed it.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
The number one thing that's purchased at dollar stores is.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
What and Patilma, good morning, Laurie. How you doing?
Speaker 4 (14:28):
Oh, good morning.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
I'm fine for Wednesdays.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Well, you're halfway through another week. We're almost at the weekend. Hallelujah.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
You better all right? So you got the question, which you.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Guess cleaning supplies?
Speaker 2 (14:39):
If you bought any cleaning supplies, it's a dollar store.
And if so, what is your go to get at
the dollar store? When it comes to cleaning supplies, it's.
Speaker 7 (14:46):
Always the window wash.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
I can never find them. It's my house, so I'm
always able.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
To stop by and get some in for a dollar,
well dollar seventy five now, but yes, that's there.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
And the sponges too, they help, Yes, with or without
the terriffs.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Next time, add some Fabuloso multipurpose cleaner.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Those are awesome.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Can't eat the fabuloso just saying that fabuloso is.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Super cleanioso.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
The cleaning supply podcasts is an excellent one, Laurie.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
That's the right answer. So get ready and get yourself
cleaned up. You're going to see Andrea Bocelli. Congrats.
Speaker 5 (15:25):
Oh my gosh, that's fantastic.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
And yes, I will get cleaned up.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
That's wonderful.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
I've never seen him perform.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
But now I will and at Christmas time too. It's
going to be amazing. Enjoy the show, Thank.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
You very much, and Happy wednesdayk you.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Both, and thank you for waking up.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Ninety seven point one wash FM, where the news is
on the way next Top stories at the top of
the hour.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
Stay right there.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Top Stories top of the hour.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
The president reportedly wants Harvard University to apologize for allowing
anti semitism on campus. The federal government has frozen more
than two billion dollars in grants to the school. A
person was arrested yesterday after stabbing a Metro Transit officer
in the face at the Navy Yard station. It happened
when the officer stopped the person for not paying the fare. Thankfully,
(16:17):
the officer is expected to recover. DC residents knew that
budget cuts were coming after Congress slashed the city's funding.
Well now it's official. Mayor Muriel Bowser's team announced yesterday
that hiring is on hold, no more overtime pay after
April twenty seventh, and raises, bonuses, and promotions are also frozen.
(16:38):
Some local government offices are going to be closed today
as DC celebrates Emancipation Day. Parking enforcement is also suspended
in most areas. The Department of Public Works will also
suspend trash recycling and food waste collection today. At least
fifty bee hives were destroyed at Rockhill honey bee Farm
(17:00):
in Stafford County. Police say that somebody broke in, poisoned
the bees, and knocked over the hives. A twenty five
hundred dollars reward is being offered for tips leading to
and arrest. And according to a recent study, one in
four Americans in a serious relationship admit they are in
a rut. Romantically signs include fewer romantic gestures or moments,
(17:22):
and the average rut lasts about ten months, but over
half confessed they've been in one for more than a year.
Forecast today partly cloudy sky's fifty eight, the high right
now forty four in Germantown.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
An overwhelming amount of men seventy five percent, say that
they need a fashion update. What does a fashion update mean?
What does it entail? We'll discuss and is there a
guy in your life that needs a fashion update?
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Tell us all about it. We won't judge.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
We just like to hear good stories eight sixty six,
nine two seven forty three sixty one or hit the
talkback microphone if you're signed in listening to your heart
app Tap speaks sen tell us it's all about this
fashion update and who needs it and we'll.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Get into it. Coming up Toby and Chilly in the morning.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
It is ninety seven point one wasch FM seven twenty two.
On this Wednesday, April sixteenth. George Michael went singing a
song Sometimes the Clothes do Not make the Man the
song with Freedom, but a seventy significant seventy five percent
of men believe that they need a fashion update, according
to his study, and the reasons why, just just a
few reasons why, widespread desire for improvement, perceived impact on success.
(18:31):
If you dress well, then that means you're more successful,
potential to get paid more, and then it's just beyond
the professional you should dress well, not just in the workplace,
but in life interesting.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
I mean, I have seen that for myself. I think
there are a lot of men who definitely need an
update in the wardrobe. And I would venture to guess
that once they make that update, they probably had a
little bit of help from perhaps a woman that they
were seeing.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
That's true, right, because I can say that is true.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
We all come to a point where we're like, start
buying clothes for the guy or making suggestions. The next
thing you know, they're dressing the way we want them
to dress.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
This through Once upon a time, I used to wear
all black everything. I still lean on the color black
because it's slumming. But I had a colleague named Lisa
who she told me, She's like, you should try another color.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Red would be good on you. And so I were red.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
And then when she moved on to another place, she
says to me, you will always be the guy whom
I brought color into your world, see, And I'm like, well,
that's true, but you know, and then I look at
other relationships since then, and it tends to be relationships
that influence this A lot. Different relationships have brought and
left different styles on me.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Now normally when I come into work here chilling.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Yeah, well I don't care.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I mean it's like, you know, yeah, this place isn't here, Trac.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Wish my husband was more open to allowing me to
have more influence.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Why why why would you say that? What does your
husband wear? I mean, I've met your husband in average something.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
He polo shirts and shorts or khaki pants. That's uniform.
That's his uniform. That's what he likes to wear. He
doesn't really want to try anything new or trendy ever,
whatever it is, fine.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Have you tried to turn him onto it? Have you
hung stuff in the closet.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
I've purchased things that had to be returned. Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Really he just doesn't even if he looks good in it. No,
he's not interested.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
I'm telling you right now, this is where your husband
and I differ. His guys a little bit. If you
if you were like if I were in a relationship
with you, and you got me some sort of a
shirt or some sort of a sweater, even though I
may not be the biggest fan of it, I'm gonna
wear it. You know why, Because if mama ain't happy,
ain't nobody happy? Just saying eight sixty six nineteen seven
(20:50):
forty three sixty one is the number? Are you someone
who has a guy that needs a fashion makeover and update?
Maybe you're a guy and you admit it. You know
what my fast and stinks. But it's me tell us
what's on your mind this morning? Eight six six nineteen
seven forty three sixty one. We look forward to hearing
from you as Toby and Chili in the Morning continues
and Chili coming up in just minutes.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Okay, what is something that you really believe they don't
make like they used to.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Go ahead and say it with me. They don't make
cash like they used to back in my day.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Well, and I've got evidence, so there's that.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Well eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one,
let's hear that evidence, let's talk about it, and you
feel free to join the conversation too, next.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
With us seven thirty nine in sync at ninety.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Seven point one wash Chef m Toby and Chili in
the Morning talking about things Saint just don't make like
they used to. There's any number of things that you
could put on the list, like, for instance, jeans. Have
you ever noticed that genes just aren't as durable as
they used to be. They used to make them to
where they would last these genes. Now everything's pre ripped
(21:56):
after one wash. And I think that's probably why it
became like a fashion trend. It was mys know, they
stripped because you washed them.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
There's always been this popular belief that appliances have become
less durable. And there is an article that scientists actually
said washing machines and ovens do indeed have a shorter
lifespan since like the nineties.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Well that explains that I've been a little MOPy the
last couple of days.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
You know why, what's wrong?
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Because you talked about kitchen appliances and such, and well
I've been very sad the last few days. Since Sunday evening,
I discovered my Seck air fryer has been on the
fritz and isn't working right. It's not air frying, and yeah,
you know what, I'm convinced it's because they probably didn't
make it like they used to make it at the beginning,
to where it would last.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
Well, the thing with the ovens and washing machines, I
think what truly happened is they realized people weren't replacing
them as quickly and they were losing money, and so
we'll just make it for a few years, just like
those fancy fridges with all the bells and whistles. Now
it's like the basic fridge lasted decades.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Back in the day, I wanted was for that air
fire to last. When I bought it, I was so
excited about it. I mean, Shaquille O'Neill put his name
on it. Now it's on the fritz, But then again,

of foods we grew up with as kids have changed,
there's more processed junk in them than they used to
have so.

Texas growing up. He used to like what they called
Mexican coke because it wasn't coke that was made in Mexico,
but it was coke that was made in Mexico with
real sugar, and that was the difference. Instead of high
fruit doose corn syrup. So in Mexico apparently they had
actual like so it got the name Mexican coke. But anyway,
(24:13):
is there something that just isn't made like it used
to be made?
Speaker 3 (24:17):
What was it?

The President says he'd like to send US citizens who've
committed violent crimes to foreign prisons in El Salvador. He said, quote,
we are looking into it, and we want to do
it and refer to them as homegrown criminals. Well, things
got a bit heated in Atlanta, last night, as three
people were arrested and several were ejected from a town
hall that was held by Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor
(24:56):
Green but Lease say two people were tased after resisting arrest.
A Metro Transit officer was hospitalized after being stabbed in
the face by a fair evader at Navy Yard Station.
This happened around two thirty yesterday afternoon. The suspect was
arrested and the officer is expected to recover. A federal
judge in Virginia is granting a motion to dismiss charges
(25:19):
against an alleged MS thirteen gang leader so he can
be deported to El Salvador. Henry Vietorro Santos was arrested

marks of gang affiliation in his bedroom. The Kennedy Center
is making red, white, and blue a permanent part of
its outdoor lighting. The performing arts venue is usually lit

in white, although other colors have been used for special
events in the past or to support causes, and researchers
have come up with the amount of time that we
need to spend on various activities to create what they
call the perfect day. It includes six hours of family time,
only six hours for work, two hours with your friends,
(26:05):
and just one hour of screen time. Forecast for today
Party Cloudy's Guys. Highs around fifty eight right now, forty
seven in Manassas.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
They just don't make them like they used to. Hey,

they just don't make like they used to.

Hmmm, that's a good one. Ninety seven point one wash
FM and Chili in the Morning. In case you missed it,
we are talking about things.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
They just don't make them like they used to. Why
would you say cars? Why would you put that on
your list?
Speaker 4 (27:08):
I think is more tech they added to cars, The
more computerized things and bells and whistles, the less durable
they are, the shorter lifespan they have.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
See, that's kind of how I feel about toys.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
I was thinking about it, and toys back in the
day used to be more simple, They used to be
more fun, durable, they held up forever. And now you
see people selling some of these vintage toys on the
internet for mad money. You know why that is because
they just don't make them like they used to. Chili,
The new ones break, they snap in half. It's not fun,
(27:39):
Toby and Chili in the morning. What is it that
you think they don't make like they used to? Jason,
thanks for hanging on the line. What's going on this
morning at Tacoma Park? And what do you think?
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Video games, it used to be that you bought the
game and you played it and that's it. Now you
buy a game and then you have to buy the
add ons and the upgrades.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Not cool.
Speaker 6 (27:57):
Video game industry, just put the whole game out.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I agree, parents' credit cards will appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (28:05):

Rum coms with real chemistry, absurd misunderstanding and the soundtrack
that made you believe in love again? Now it's just
all base lighting, dry banter, and a couple that looks
like they'd rather be doing taxes.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Right, So, what you're saying is Nicholas Sparks needs to
get on the phone with Netflix, or.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
