Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point one.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Why are you feeling good? Around five o'clock this morning?
Ninety seven point one was Chef M Toby and Chilly
in the Morning. Welcome to a brand new day, Chilly,
Why are you feeling good this morning?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
The Caps are up two games to none in the
first round of the playoffs against the Montreal Canadians.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I had a feeling you would say that after winning
three to one.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Now you know it's August, the best of seven, so
we got a waste to go in the first round.
But still I think when you've got that kind of
momentum going, that is a good thing. And that is
why I am feeling good today.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Does it, Johnny come lately to hockey? I gotta tell
you that playoff is long, that whole it's the long.
It's the hardest championship to win. I mean, it's like
it's months long. It's it's just never ending, whereas you know,
like in baseball, they have one hundred and sixty two games.
So I'm feeling good this morning because the Washington Nationals
beat the Baltimoreioals four to three. When the o's came

(00:58):
down to take on the Nats yesterday. I don't mind that,
and no offense to O's fans, but the Nats are
kind of you know, our team over there near Navy Yard,
and I'm a big Mats fan and remember the Nats
at RFK Stadium and all the memories. But you know
what the great thing about it is is this time

(01:19):
a few years ago, we weren't talking about sports, you know,
and the fact that our local sports teams are actually
doing really, really well. So if you're a fan of
any professional sporting endeavor in the nation's capital, you've got
something to feel good about. And then tonight's the draft
for the NFL. That's true, game on, everybody, Game on.
How can you not feel good? As we start a

(01:41):
brand new day optimism, optimism, sports chatter earlier, that's right,
did it? Did it? Sports Radio ninety seven point one
wash FM. We're tell me and Chile in the morning.
If you're feeling good today eight sixty six, nine two,
seven forty three sixty one, call and tell us about
it and coming up in the news top stories at
top the What you're working.

most carblicious, amazing last meal ever. Oh wow, pies, cakes,
ice creams. Who cares if I have a stomach ache,
I'm gonna die anyway.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
It's very hard to top that. When I was going

at the top of the hour with ninety seven point

insurance is and got to know if you know what

Eight six six ninety two, seven forty three sixty one
is the number? Talkbacks wide open too. If you're signed
into your iHeart app, feel free to tap that microphone
and use it. We'll get into to it next with
Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Shaboozi had quite the
day yesterday picking up all of those award nominations. Yet

(10:10):
another awards show. It's ninety seven point one Wash FM,
Toby and Chilly in the Morning. If you heard of
relationship insurance, there's a company that offers relationship insurance. It's
not a pre nup. It's a bet savings plan and
loyalty rewards sort of insurance policy.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, Ziki Love is the website that does this. So basically,
a couple signs up together and they agree to commit
to the plan and over the course of five years,
they put in a certain amount of money each. If
they end up staying together over those five years and
getting married, they get a payout worth ten times what

(10:50):
they contributed to the pot. So it's like betting that
you guys are going to make it to the end
and you can use that money for a wedding, for
anything in line.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Right, And if you guys up, you get nothing. No,
you just gave all no money for nothing.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
I think five years is an awful long time to
wait to get married, But I would totally have done
this with my husband when we were dating, we knew
we were gonna get married. I would have been like, yeah,
let's go ahead, let's get ten times the amount we
put in.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
My significant other and I have been together for like
seven years. That have we put like money into something
like this, Or we'd be like paying for the wedding
and then the honeymoon and then we would have to
you know, it'd be like a long term savings plan. Yes,
but then again, I've got to get over the whole
commitment phobia things. Well, see, that's why this isn't for you.
It's interesting though. Some people say it's like a motivating

(11:36):
way to save for a wedding. Others are like, this
is a gimmick. It's totally a gimmick.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
But the five year part of this, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
I don't know a bit long. But I don't know.
True love will wait or will it not? Yeah? TikTok, TikTok.
Thoughts eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty
one is the number? Or even better yet tap to

the guy who was very impressed with her breeding hips.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Huh, exactly, don't move.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
It's Toby and Chilly's crazy first day.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Morning, Kate and Alexandria. We hear you have a crazy
first date for us. The floor, they say is yours.

Speaker 7 (19:01):
I was in Whole Foods once and I was approached
just out of the blue by the sky and he
came up to me and he said to me, work word,
you look like you have great hips for breeding.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
And I said, you know, excuse me, that's not the best.
You know, first line to open up to somebody.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Yeah, So I just.

Speaker 7 (19:18):
Wanted to, you know, see this guy had to say.
I go out to lunch with him and he presents
me with this document. I think it was twelve pages long,
and it literally asked me my blood type, how many
children I wanted? I asked my criminal history, my work history,
my family history, and he told me I was not
allowed to work. He was a doctor, I was so

(19:39):
run his businesses. It was like a document tell me
what I could do, what I could not do. He
went in I think five kids, but he was concerned
because I was a little bit too old, so we
needed to get to work right away. I think because
I think I was thirty four or thirty five at
the time. It was so bizarre, so bizarre, useless to
say I did not go out with him again.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
This is insane on so many different levels.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
He made his intentions clear. He wanted to pro create somebody,
but to show up with documents. Kate, in that moment,
what did you say?

Speaker 7 (20:12):
I told him, listen, you're a little intense, I said.
I said, this is a huge turn off for people.
I'm very open, and I told him, I said, you're
not going to find what you want. This is not
the right approach to most people.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
What did he say to that very sound advice?

Speaker 7 (20:23):
Oh no, he was very very confident that you know,
I'm a doctor. I just know what i want. I'm
going to get what I want, and I you know,
I wish you well. We just love it at that
and I have never talked to him again.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
That's crazy, crazy on an order of crazy we haven't
had in some time.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
And because you shared that story with us, we would
love to send you to go see Billy, Joel and
Sting at National's Park September fifth, Thanks to our friends
at Live Nation.

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
