one wash Out.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's the Tuesday before a long holiday weekend. Being optimistic
Toby and Chile in the Morning on ninety seven point
one wash FM. Always good to start the day feeling
good about something in life before five and that would
be now. So, Chile, is there something you're feeling good
about today?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Why?
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Yes, I am Toby. I have complained to you off
the air that I wish we had more protein snacks
in our kitchen the lo and behold. I went in
there this morning and there were a couple of Quest bars.
Now they're not my favorite protein bar, but protein nonetheless,
and so this morning I will be getting my protein.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Indate they survived through the day yesterday, the overnight. You're right,
because we get nothing when we come in.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
You would think that because we're the first shift of
the day that we know it's not.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
We're technically the last.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
The right gave load that at nine something.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Afterward, after we're done with the show, and then throughout
the day we don't even Yeah, we get scraps.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
So, yeah, you brought your quest bars in and I
went to a safe way yesterday and picked up some
of those one hundred calorie breakfast kind of bar things
that that I got the idea to get from here
actually because.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Yeah, you try to hear, well, try to sample.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Well, they're never here, that's right. Then they always go
so quickly, and then I'm like.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Look, how spoiled we are.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
We expect the radio station to provide our snacks for
the day. Well, yes, we do well, I mean maybe
puts us in a better mood, you see.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
I mean it's a thing. It's morale, that's right, And
every little piece of morale building things you can do,
you should do more of. Yes, morale. I will say this,
and I'm feeling good this morning because I'm discovering things
that are new, even though they're not new. Like, for instance,
made a reference to the t the TV show New
(01:59):
Girl last night or yesterday on the show, and it
hasn't been on you know, it's not been new and
quite a while. But I will say that having my
daughter home, I've picked up new things like New Girl
and other kind of shows that I never really paid
attention to before. And it's new and it's opening my
(02:20):
mind good for it to things that I've been missing.
All righty little things like that to help you to
feel good. Quest Bars and New Girl, Zoey Deschanel, Zoby
and Chilly in the morning, It's ninety seven point one.
Watch FM. If you're feeling good this morning, fruit you out,

Speaker 3 (02:44):
On the way the President signed the Take It Down
Act into law. We've got the details all the way.
Top Stories, Top of the Hour, Top Stories presented by
Celsius Energy Drinks Well. President Trump says direct peace talks
between Russia and Ukraine will begin soon. He said that
his call with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the war
(03:06):
with Ukraine went well yesterday. Meanwhile, the President signed the
Take It Down Act into law. It criminalizes the non
consensual online posting of sexually explicit images, including AI generated
deep fakes, and violators will face prison and fines. Three
teenagers escaped a youth detention center in Pennsylvania. They stole
(03:27):
a car, and they ended up in DC, where police
say they were involved in a robbery and shooting. Authorities
are still piecing it all together. One of the teens
was arrested, the other two are still at large. A
man is charged with animal cruelty after a dog died
inside a hot car at a Manassas mall on Friday.
He allegedly left his two year old bulldog in the
(03:50):
car for hours. Police say the dog died, but six
other dogs are in good condition. Gaithersburg residents are rallying
to support David Zuniga. He's an Arlington County fire captain,
after a fire destroyed his home Friday. With help from
the Montgomery County Fire Department, neighbors have raised thirty thousand
dollars for his family's immediate needs. And exercise can cut
(04:14):
cancer risk, even if it's just casual walking. A new
study found that people who walked seven thousand steps a
day had an eleven percent lower risk, while those who
hit nine thousand steps saw a sixteen percent drop of
cancer risk. Forecast today will have partly cloudy skies. Hi's
getting up to around seventy right now, though, fifty one

to hopefully inspire you or to maybe turn your morning around,
because some mornings you just don't want to get out
of bed, other mornings you spring out of bed. Well,
regardless wherever you are, your morning mindset is on the
(04:59):
way and just and it's hopefully this quote will speak
to you today in a way that is positive and
good and helps you to take on this Tuesday before
the holiday weekend sets in. That's on the way in
minutes ninety seven point one WASHFM. Stay there Toby and
Tilly in the Morning on ninety seven point one wash FM,
(05:20):
where it's time for us to focus on you and
your morning mindset.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
This is where we share a quote to get you
into a good headspace, something to think about as you
carry on with the rest of your day.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Carl Jung says, I am not what happened to me.
I am what I choose to become. I am not
what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.
That's from Carl Jung. And what does this mean? Well,
I think that it means your future is shaped by
your response, not necessarily your past. So it happened, right,
(05:56):
Things happen, but what do you choose to become as
a results of what happened? And that is how your
story is told. Carl Young with a very powerful quote
this Tuesday morning. Thank you so much for listening to
it and hopefully it helped you, and if it did,
it might help somebody else that you know. So you
(06:16):
can reach out to us on the Toby and chilipage
at washchefm dot com or you can ping myself or Chili.
We'd be happy to send you that quote should it
speak to you, and should you need to share it
with somebody who might need it just like you did.
It's ninety seven point one wash CHEFM or Toby and
Chili in the Morning and coming up in just minutes.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Okay, you want to know how somebody is lying to you?
Apparently we should look at their feet. Yes, what does
this all mean? You'll find out in minutes. Stay right there,
Good morning, Toby and Chilli in the Morning. At ninety
seven point one WASCHFM and FBI trained expert Chili says
one body part is dubed the most honest, our true intentions,
(07:01):
it would be the feat.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Yes, your feet tell the truth.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Apparently someone's feet are pointing towards let's say, the door
while you're having a conversation. It could mean that they're
uncomfortable and they're trying to get the hell out of there.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
So can you imagine if I suddenly.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Start staring down while I'm talking to somebody.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
People are gonna think you have some sort of weird
fetish going on. I mean, you know, there plenty of.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Other ways to tell. I think if someone's not telling
the right.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
With all due respect to the FBI agent, and maybe
if you work for the FBI or CIA and you've
interrogated people before, maybe you're a lie detection expert. Feel
free to call us at eight six six nine two
seven forty three sixty one and explain this to us,
because personally, I'm just wondering what it is about the feet.
I get the whole door thing, but like, really.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, I mean, I can tell if somebody can't look
at me that they're probably lying to me, like looking
into my eyes when they're telling me what they're saying.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
But sometimes I don't look at you. Sometimes I'm looking
at other things around us.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
Right.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Doesn't mean that I'm not telling you the truth.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
No, But if it's just.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
You and I and you're telling me something I don't.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Know aarn listening in the navy yard this morning. How
do you know when someone is lying?
Speaker 1 (08:15):
I can always tell that my brother is lying.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
As soon as he does, he gets really quiet, which
is super strange for him.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
My brother loves to talk, but not when he lies.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
Though.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Hey, bro, Kat, got your tongue? What are you hiding
from me?
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Naomi? Hello, and thanks for listening in Arlington. How do
you know someone is lying? For me?
Speaker 5 (08:36):
It's all the little cracks, like when someone I trust
suddenly starts choosing your words too carefully, or laugh.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
At the wrong moment to cover the tension, laughing to
cover the tension.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
I don't know that it's necessarily lie related.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
I think it's just they're very uncomfortable with how heavy
things just got, you.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Know, yep, And that could lead to a sign, though chilly,
that someone might be being dishonest. Naomi, thank you for
the call this morning. We noticed that awkward laugh there, Chili,
what aren't you telling us? Give us a call and
let us know how you spot a liar? You know,
(09:13):
the number eight sixty six nine two seven three sixty one.
Always love hearing from you. Top stories at the top
of the hour. On the Way, It's the News, ninety
seven point one wash FM, Don't Go Anywhere.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Top stories, Top of the Hour.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
President Trump says he is confident that peace talks will
soon start between Russia and Ukraine. In a post on
truth Social the President said his call with Russian President
Vladimir Putin about the war went very well.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
Yesterday.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Another radio outage at Newark International Airport is under investigation.
That outage lasted just two seconds, but this time, but
it is the fourth one since April twenty eighth. DC
police are looking for two teenagers who escaped a Pennsylvania
a youth facility, stole a land Rover, and then ended
up in a robbery and shooting in Northeast DC. One
(10:06):
escape pee was caught, but two others are still.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
On the run.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Washington Capital's defenseman Alexander Alexia was arrested for public intoxication
in Arlington. This happened early Saturday after he allegedly got
into a fight with another man outside of business. Polise
they had to use pepper spray before Alexiev was taken
into custody. The Blue Angels are back in Annapolis this
(10:32):
week to celebrate the Naval Academy's Commissioning Week. They're going
to rehearse at two o'clock today, with a full air
show at the same time tomorrow, and then the week
will wrap up Friday with graduation and a final flyover.
And if you're working over fifty two hours a week,
your brain might be paying the price. A new study
found that long hours can actually change brain areas that
(10:55):
are linked to decision making, emotions, and memory. Forecast for
today partly cloudy skies. Hi, is it going to be
around seventy right now? Fifty in Manassas?
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Tell your friends you get top stories at the top
of the hour with ninety seven point one. WASHEFM with
Toby and Chilly in the morning. We're coming up next.
Take a look at your husband's hands. Have you taken
a look at them lately? Well, it seems that your
hobby's hands say much about your husband's personality. Oh, that's right,
(11:26):
and we'll explain what we mean and we'll put ourselves
to the test. Coming up in just a few don't
go anywhere at six twenty five Toby and Chilly in
the Morning on ninety seven point one WASHFM. Why don't
you tap the talkback microphone if you're signed in listening
to us on your iHeart app and tell us what
you think about this. Your husband's hands say a lot
(11:47):
about his personality. Here's an experiment for you. Ask your husband,
your boyfriend, your dad to show you their palms and
then see if the ring finger is longer than the
pointer finger.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Apparently guys who have this digit combo, this combination of
fingers are sweeter to women than most other men. Guys
with this ratio are not only more agreeable, they were
also rated as less quarrelsome chill Okay, but let's quarrelsome.
Why do they act this way? Apparently? Researchers say it
stems from above average testosterone in the womb.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Okay, so repeating it the ring finger, if it's longer
than the index or pointer finger, then you're sweeter to
women and less quarrelsome. So I took a picture of
your hand, Yeah, I have a picture of my husband
hand and also a producer Taylor Shay's husband's hand. And
it appears that every man related to this show is
(12:47):
sweet and agreeable.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Because all of your.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Ring fingers are longer than the index finger.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
There is weird wi.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
We're very close, and so is Taylor's husband Darren. Do
you guys are almost the same size, but just a
little bit longer that little ring finger?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Hmmm interesting. I'm looking at my hands now thinking about this. Yes, now,
now that you know this, they're what do you think
about it? Tap the talkback microphone and let us know. Yes, Chili,
you look like a skeptic.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
I am a skeptic, even though it is true my
husband is very sweet and less squirrelsome but still, come
on your hands.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
I don't know. I think that we're probably putting way
too much, way too much credit into the size of
one's fingers as it relates to that. You know what
they say about the hands, but hey, I mean apparently
these hands reveal much about the personality. Who knew and
now you do? So don't cause an accident looking at you?
(13:48):
You know your man's hands. If you're in the car
on your way to work this morning.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Shelby and Chili's nearly impossible.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Question, Honey, can you take your hand off the wheel
and let me take a look at that place, all right?
So oh, here we go. What's the question this morning?
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Sixty five percent of people believe this is the most
important quality for a successful relationship.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
And the size of the hand or the fingers.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Have nothing to do with it, But sixty five percent
of people believe this is the most important quality for
a successful relationship.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
What is it? Eight sixty six, ninety two, seven, forty three,
sixty one Lelo and Stitch, four pack of passes to
go see the movie and a seventy foller if seventy
five dollars MasterCard gift card could be yours. If you're right,
here comes the question again one more time.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Sixty five percent of people believe this is the most
important quality for a successful relationship.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Four pack of passes Lelo and Stitch the movie It's
the live action version, and a seventy five dollars master
card gift card yours Lelo and Stitched, Disney's new film,
and it's only a theater's starting this Friday. If you
want them, call now, get it right and win it.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Keby and Chilly's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
The question again one more time. These tickets to see
Lilo and Stitch and the seventy five dollars master card
gift card would be.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Sixty five percent of people believe this is the most
important quality for a successful relationship.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
What is it? Good morning, Kevin in Silver Spring, Welcome
to the show. Hope you're well this morning. You've got
the question what is your guest?
Speaker 6 (15:21):
My guess is definitely a sense of humor.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
A sense of humor.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Chilli, are you in a relationship right now?
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Yes, thirty one years?
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Thirty one years, so she still laughs at all your
jokes and you laugh at her.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
We laugh every day every day, sometimes at funerals, sometimes
in the grocery store, whatever, wherever.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
That's an excellent guest. Kevin's sense of humor is the
correct answer.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Excellent. Great, So prepare to go see Disney's Lelo and
Stitch in theaters this Friday. The summer starts with Sitch.
Get your tickets now, you've got them for free. And
the seventy five dollars master card gift card too. Kevin, perfect,
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
My daughter will love it, you all love it.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
We hope you have a family moment where you can
have many laughs. Thanks to le Loo and Stitch.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
We will yep, we will thank you very much, both
of you.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Well you enjoy and thank you for waking up with
ninety seven point one Watch FM, where the news is
on the way in just a few minutes. Top Stories
at the top of the hour coming up. Don't forget
We've got more passes Leelo and Stitch tomorrow and another
seventy five dollars MasterCard gift card. Both could be yours
with another round of your nearly impossible question.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Top Stories Top of the Hour.

unfolded in the district. Days after doctor Leah Carrington Bony's

twelve hundred dollars doctoral cap and gown was stolen from
her Southwest home. It was returned to her sidewalk. The
University of Maryland has moved its main commencement to Thursday
because of rain in the forecast.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Kermit the Frog is going to be delivering the commencement addressed,
and officials say that school specific ceremonies remain unchanged. And
a new survey finds that one in three Americans has
taken a trip just for food, with twenty two percent
crossing state lines and ten percent even traveling to another
country for a specific dish. Half say they would save
(18:01):
suitcase space to bring some snacks home, especially flavors from Italy,
Mexico and Japan. Forecast for today partly cloudy. Skuis Hi's
getting up to a round seventy right now fifty one
in Centerville and that's news.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Top stories at the top of the hour ninety seven
point one, Wash FM, Toby and Chilly in the Morning
coming up next. Tattoo artists say that they will not
inc this body part. They'll explain why. So what's the
body part? We'll tell you coming up. But what we
would really like to know is if you have a
hidden tattoo, where is it? What is it of? Eight
(18:36):
six six nine two seven forty three sixty one is
the number? Talkback's wide open for you too. If you're
signed into your iHeart app. By the way, thank you
for making us pre set number one on your iHeart app.
You can tap speak in send us a quick voice
note with the talkback microphone. We'll get into this next
stay with us Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's
(18:56):
ninety seven point one wash FM on this Tuesday, May
twenty seven, twenty four in the morning tattoo artists say
that they won't ink this one body part. They explain why,
and it begs the question do you have a hidden tattoo?
The number, by the way, is eight sixty six nine
two seven forty three sixty one. If you want to
jump in, talk back is wide open too. If you're
(19:19):
listening to ninety seven point one wash FM on your
iHeart app right now, where you've got us this preset
number one, thank you very much for that. The body
part Chili is the hand.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yes, your fingers, your hand, you can't hide those things,
and tattoo artists kind of make sure you understand the
commitment you're about to get into, because unlike your arms
or your legs, there is no clothing besides gloves that
really covers your hand.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
I want to believe that when I got my tattoo
in Boston, that they asked me to, like, you know,
sign something that said I wasn't of a nebriated mindset
as it were, because I guess some people might like
you know.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Actually supposed to be drunk. Yeah, inebriated when you get tattoos.
Yeah right good yeah, yeah, no, it's not good for
your body. And it's also like, you know, they don't
want to be responsible for what you told them to
do while you were altered. I'm shocked though, that fingers
in hand is what came up in that article versus
your face, which thankfully only a handful of artists that
(20:21):
we know, like Mike Tyson and Jelly Roll.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
And Post Malone.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
I mean, I think that to me is there is
no way.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
I mean, yeah, you could wear a makeup I suppose,
but that's very very bold.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
I mean, you have being like what was his name
from Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray, the lead singer. He
had to have all of his tattoos removed because he
started doing television stuff because he had like tattoos all
up on his neck.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
He Pete Davidson is doing it right now and he
says it hurts a hell of a lot more getting
them removed than it was getting them on. And it's
expensive too. I mean, your tattoo is not hidden. No,
I don't have any tattoos, but if I were to
get one, I would go the discreen route, and I
may put one like right behind the ear lobe, like
a small one that I know is there and not
(21:06):
necessarily out in the open.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
That's a good hidden area.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Yeah, I think so. I think that probably the ankle.
I've seen a lot of people that have, you know,
hidden one on the ankle because of socks and whatever.
Then of course there's the small of the back or
the nape of the neck that's underneath your hair, and
and you know, then there's stuff that's like you know
that you that's like higher on your thigh where you
would where you could hide it based on what you're wearing.
(21:32):
I did mind kind of quasi hidden if I was
wearing a long sleeve shirt. But I did it more
for just to make sure that I thought it looked good. Yeah,
you know. So anyway, tattoos got one? What have you
got tattooed?
Speaker 4 (21:46):
Where is it hidden on you? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Yeah, tell us what it is, where you hit it,
why you hit it. We would love to hear from
you this morning at eight sixty six nineteen seven forty
three sixty one. Now, we'll get back to this conversation
in just a few minutes later on this morning, but
what we want to do next is share a crazy
first date story with you. Let's just say the keyword
(22:08):
is purity. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Emily and Reston went on a date with the guy
who really expected her to be chased.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
And not chased like you know, as in though we're
chasing you, that's right, like chased. Oh lord, wait till
you hear this next.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
It's Toby and Hilly's crazy first date.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Emily and rest In, Good morning and welcome. How are you?
Speaker 6 (22:32):
I am great? How are y'all?
Speaker 2 (22:34):
We're excited to hear your crazy first date stories.
Speaker 6 (22:37):
So I was moved back to the area after a
very messy divorce with my ex husband and went to
my parents' church to visit, and I checked my kids
into the nursery whatever they call the kids center. Afterwards,
one of the guys who had been working in the
kids center with my kids when I went to pick
them up. He and I got to talking and he
(22:58):
asked me out on a date, and I was like,
all right, you know what, let's go for it. Go
on state with this guy. Everything's fine, silver diner, great conversation.
At one point, he makes this off handed comment about how,
you know, he feels it's very important to make sure
that whatever woman he ends up marrying is a virgin,
and I laughed, and he looked at me like I
(23:20):
had six heads, and I was like, well, you do
realize that I have two children and I'm divorced. He
stood up and started screaming at me in the middle
of the restaurant and stormed.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Out wit whow wait, I'm so confused, Emily, Yeah, me too.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
Then what happens after he leaves?
Speaker 6 (23:38):
So after he leaves, I'm just sitting there kind of
in shock, and the waitress comes over and looks at
me and asks me what happened. So I told her
the story. She then goes and tells her manager, they
caught my meal, gave me a milkshake. I tipped the
lady and sat and talked with her for a little bit,
and then I went home. I don't know if maybe
someone never really gave him the whole birds and bees.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Talk or what I mean. I'm sure. I'm sure this
guy is the most chaste guy anybody's ever heard of.
Speaker 6 (24:08):
Oh, of course, she's never done anything that could possibly
blendish him in the eyes of the Lord. He's a
good Christian man, that's right.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Quite chaste, quite full of the Lord's goodness.
Speaker 7 (24:19):
Yes, exactly so when I encounter a mom who comes
