Speaker 3 (00:10):
How is your drive in this morning with the Uber?
Speaker 4 (00:12):
My drive in with the Uber was great.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I didn't have a car, so I take Uber and
I asked him, I got in the car, said do
you mind if I put the windows down?
Speaker 4 (00:19):
Because I love this time of day.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I can't be the only person driving into work this
morning with the windows down, by the way.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
And uh so he said, yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
You can turn the window, roll the windows down, but
he kept the air conditioning and I said, well, can
you turn the air conditioning off? And he looked at
me like, what who turns the air conditioning off in Washington,
DC in the summer in a car?
Speaker 5 (00:38):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
And I said, I just like the nice warm breeze
on a summer morning in the back seat.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Oh yeah, yeah. It was really affecting.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
The entire warm breeze or winds.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Plus his front window was fogging up because of the
air conditioning in the cold air and the warm aris.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
That was a mess. But what about you. Do you
drive in with the windows down or the windows up?
Speaker 5 (00:59):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
No, I do not, and I'm gonna take it one
bougie level higher than just the AC.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
I have a seat cooler.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
I've heard my Hyundai has a seat cooler, so I
have that on as well.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I've heard you talk about these, and I'm kind of
jealous of them. Are they just like seat warmers in
the winter where they really warm you up and they
feel great?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
There is a button for heating your buns, and there's
a button for Yeah, that's right. Nice little airflow. I'm
a big.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Fan nice and chill, a nice chill chili on the way. Well,
it's gonna be a hot one today and you will
want the air conditioning later today.

two billion dollar budget after hours of debate and last

identity theft and check fraud cases across the DC area.
Investigators say the men used stolen IDs to cash fake

rescue efforts in Texas. Virginia Task Force one was deployed

All right, Toby's off today. I'm kiddoshe from Good Morning Washington.
Our morning mindset is next. Chile's going to read us
a quote, take this in the right mood on this
Tuesday morning. Plus more music to get you going on
ninety seven point one WASHFM.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
All the these you need to start your Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Ninety seven point one WASHFM with Toby and Chile in
the morning. I'm Kiddo'she and the Morning Mindset to start
your Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Jim Rone says, your life does not get better by chance,
it gets better by change. It emphasizes the importance of
taking intentional action to improve your life. So it really
challenges the idea that things are somehow going to magically
get better on their own, or that success is just
a matter of luck. Instead, this quote reminds us that
(04:31):
real growth in progress comes from making conscious choices and
stepping out of our comfort zones and really actively working
toward the life we want. So again, Jim Rone says,
your life does not get better by chance, it gets
better by change. Now you can find that quote or
share your own using hashtag Morning Mindset on the Toby
(04:52):
and Chili page at washfm dot com.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
All right, coming up next, what do you think is
the best karaoke song to science? It's a very popular
rock song that we all know from the eighties, So
think about that. We'll tell you about the formula a
professor used to come up with this. Oh, and the
song next, tell Me and Chilly in the Morning ninety's
seven point one wash FM Good Morning. I'm Kido'she from
(05:16):
Good Morning Washington we now know the top karaoke song
according to science.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yeah. So there's an Oxford mathematician named doctor Tom Crawford,
and he used a formula that weighs factors like tempo,
chorus to verse ratio, and he found the perfect karaoke
song hovers around one hundred and twenty six beats per
minute and features at least three strong choruses. And based
(05:43):
on his calculation, Okay, this right here is the best
song to sing for karaoke.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
I don't disagree. Hey, it's one of our most popular
songs on wash FM.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Now I do sing along to this in the car,
but I will sing along necessarily on a stage. Coming
in a close second was Whitney Houston's I Want to
Dance with Somebody Kid. Have you ever done karaoke or
do you have a go to song?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I did karaoke once and it was my all time
favorite song, Paul Simon you can call Me Out, which
I can sing perfectly when I'm in the car by
myself and I've got Paul Simon singing with me. But
when I tried to do karaoke, it did. It was
a complete fail and I will never do karaoke again.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
But what about you.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I did it for a charity event with two co
workers a few years ago in front of a huge crowd. Hmm,
and we decided to do spice girls want to be
I'll tell you what I want. It was a disaster,
but it's okay. It was for a good cause.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
And it was for charity, and it was with a group.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
I would yeah, that's true.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
I would maybe do.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
It again if somebody was up on stage with me,
but never again will I do it all by myself.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
I don't blame you, all right.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Well, the next time you go to karaoke and you
can't come up with a song, now you know what
song you should choose. Toby and Chili's Top Stories are
coming up next to you. Are waking up with Toby
and Chile on ninety seven point one wash FM.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Top Stories Top of the Hour.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Five people, including the gunman and an NYPD police officer,
were killed in a mouse shooting yesterday in a midtown
Manhattan skyscraper. The shooter, Shane Tamura, who had traveled across
the country, later died by apparent suicide. Still no word
on motive. President Trump announced plans to set up US
food centers in the Gaza strip. He expressed doubts over
(07:34):
Israeli Prime Minister net and Yahoo's claim that there is
no starvation in Gaza. The DC Council narrowly passed an
amendment to slow increases to the tipped minimum wage, capping
it at seventy five percent of the regular rate. The
move sparked outrage, with protesters escorted from yesterday's meaning as
critics argued the change hurts already struggling food service workers.
(07:58):
Former but that's a chevy Cha volunteer EMT Christopher Dudley
is now facing multiple child sex abuse charges. Fairfox County
officials say the alleged incidents date back to two thousand
and four, and Dudley had also worked as a real
estate agent and vocal coach. A Montgomery County fire engine
that had been in service for just a few months
(08:20):
ran into deep floodwaters in Silver Spring during some heavy
storms and became stranded and appears to be totaled. This,
by the way, marks the second new county fire vehicle
that was disabled by flooding in just under two months.
And a new study suggest you really only need five
close friends for the best well being. People with five
(08:43):
good friends reported greater happiness and peace of mind compared
to those with just three. Forecast for today another hot one,
partly cloudy ninety sixth the high with the heated necks
of one hundred and three Right now, seventy four in Riverdale.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
All right, coming up next, I'm kiddings in for Toby.
What would you be willing to give up? For a
million dollars? A large group of Americans were asked that question.
Wait until you hear how many said they would ditch
their romantic partners, and we'll tell you what the top
response was. Next, got Whitney for your Tuesday morning nintys
seven point one Wash FM. It's Toby and Chilly in
(09:19):
the morning. I'm kiddo'she from Good Morning Washington. What would
you be willing to give up for a million bucks?
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Okay, So they asked several thousand Americans what they would
give up, and I'm going to share some of the
most popular results. Kid, excellent, and I want to know
if you would ever consider giving this up for a
million dollars? Alright? Forty three percent would break up with
their romantic partner for a million dollars?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Is my partner?
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Kyle?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
And Biggie listening right now. No, I would not do.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
That you No, okay, yeah, I agree, No, no, okay.
Fifty nine percent would go off grid and ditch all
devices by by cell phone, iPad, all those things.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
I would do that.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
We are only a million. A million dollars, first of all,
is not a lot of money. If you live in
this area, you can barely afford a shack as a home.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I'd buy an RV. Oh and I'd live out of
an RV. That's all I need.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Okay, that's fine. How about uh, okay, here's one I
may consider.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Uh huh.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Forty one would percent would give up intimacy forever, forever
for that that type of intimacy. You know, I think
there are other ways of achieving that same thing, So
I wouldn't need another person for that necessarily.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Now that million dollars is not looking like enough money.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Shelby and Chili's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
What is today's question? Chili?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Ten percent of people have one of these in their
garage right now, but they haven't used it in three years?
Speaker 5 (10:45):
What is it? All? Right?
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Tickets for Rob Thomas at MGM National Harbor eight six,
six nine seven for three six one. That's eight six
six nine two seven four three six one. What's that
question again?
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Ten percent of people have one of these in their garage,
but they have not used it in three years? What
is it? All right?
Speaker 2 (11:05):
We've lined up some more music for you, and we'll
also get you the answer to the nearly impossible question.
Next with Toby and Chilly in the Morning on ninety
seven point one Wash FM.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Toby and Chilli's Nearly Impossible Question.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
I'm Canochet in for Toby today. We are playing for
tickets to see Rob Thomas at MGM National Harbor thanks
to Live Nation.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
What is today's question?
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Ten percent of people have one of these in their
garage right now, but they have not used it in
three years? What is it?
Speaker 4 (11:32):
Eight six six nine two seven four three six one.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Good morning, Keith, you're a part of the show in Laurel.
How are you this morning?
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Pretty good?
Speaker 3 (11:40):
How are you going? We're doing well. So you've got
the question, what do you think the answer is?
Speaker 4 (11:46):
I'm gonna say a lawnmower?
Speaker 3 (11:49):
All right? So you think that ten percent of people
have a lawnmower in their garage that they haven't used
in three years? Is this because of personal experience or
a wild guest there. Keith, No, I'm probably about every
five weeks.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
I'm hitting that up.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Okay, so you're you're not waiting three years to mow
the lawn. No, kid, kid, have you ever not mowed
the lawn when you lived in a home with a yard, Like,
did you hire people.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
To do it?
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (12:17):
No, we had to get on the tractor and got
oh I tracked. We had a tractor growing up in Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
That's a big deal.
Speaker 5 (12:23):
One.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
I had a lawnmower in my townhouse before we moved
into this house that I did not use ever.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Ever.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I would whenever I was like randomly maybe dating somebody,
I'd have them do it, or I would hire somebody
to come every couple of weeks.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
So, but you never used it.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
I never now though my husband he loves to mow
the lawn. But Keith, that's a great guess. Yeah. Ten
percent of people do not use their lawnmower. They haven't
used it in three years, even though they have one
in the garage. Congratulations, Oh, thank you, thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Going to see Rob Thomas at MGM National Harbor on
August tenth, Thanks to line.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Thanks guys, you are very welcome.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
We'll have another chance to plane win back here tomorrow morning,
same time with the nearly impossible question and Toby and
Chilly in the Morning on ninety seven point one wash FM.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Top Stories Coming up next, Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
Speaker 3 (13:17):

talking about it.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
After a couple has gone viral after naming their newborn
after two of the biggest celebrities in the world.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
We'll tell you who they are next.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Eighty throwback from Princeton ninety seven point one Wash FM
with Toby and Chilly in the Morning. I'm kiddo'shay, were
you named after a celebrity? And was that a good
thing or a bad thing? Here's why we're talking about it?
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Okay. So, a Missouri couple recently made headlines by naming
their newborn daughter Kelsey Taylor Gee. I wonder who was
named after? Obviously, Travis Kelce Taylor Swift. They've been together
for over a year now, and and they're saying that
the name was chosen out of admiration, not necessarily for
(16:06):
them to get Internet fame. But here we are there
that baby is now Internet famous.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
But I think we all can agree that Kelsey Taylor's
kind of a cute name.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
No, it definitely flows for sure. Does I think the
only downside is if or some would argue when they
break up, is it going to be weird that they
were named after somebody? And also is that baby even
going to know. Maybe Taylor Swift will be forever somebody
because she's been a musician for so long. But Travis,
(16:36):
he's gonna just fall off the map. One Now, Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
NFL fans may say different, but yes, I see what
you're saying.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
And then does that also become your identity, your whole life?
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I was named after Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift, right
for swifties.

Oh that's so cool? Other people, Oh good? Anyway, it's
a cute name.
