Home and safe, that's right, Yes, amen, after the news yesterday.

I'm feeling great this morning because I'm not talking to
you from the hospital this morning, or I didn't have
to call you and say hey, I'm going into the hospital.
Because this morning it was very interesting. I was having
some dream about singing some kind of gospel song with
somebody at a grocery store, and my alarm goes off.
(01:08):
And I guess it must have startled me in my
dream because I literally rolled and fell out of bed.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah, Like, I rolled and fell out of my bed,
and I woke up and I go, well, that's one
way to do it. Oh my goodness, no, seriously, And
I knocked the I whacked the end table and geezed. Yeah.
So and then you do it quick.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
This happens anytime you stumble, you do a really weird
quick vow, like, am I okay? I think I'm okay,
did I break something? Oh my god?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
The thing, the thing that it was most concerning to me.
The first thing that went through my head was is
my knee? Okay, yeah, the one you just had surgery.
I just had surgery. And I'm like, okay, cool. And
it wasn't you know, it wasn't the knee. It wasn't
a result of the knee. I just literally rolled and
fell out of bed. So it's been quite the morning,
(02:00):
all this and more before four am.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Damn.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
So I'm feeling good that I'm not at the hospital
this morning. And I didn't call in sick to you
and crash and say, guys.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
I fill out of bed.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, And music in my sleep getting checked out.
Speaker 3 (02:17):

morning mindset from Glennan Doyle.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
This morning, Glennan Doyle reminds us to be messy, be complex,
be afraid and show up anyway. Be messy, be complex,
be afraid show up anyway. Why because great ideas don't
need to be neat at the start. That's pretty good stuff,
(06:07):
Glenn and Doyle. Be messy, be complex, be afraid to
show up anyway, because great ideas don't need to be
neat at the start, at the beginning. Keep that in
mind today, Maybe share that with someone who needs it.
If you need it again, find it on the Toby
and chilipage at washfm dot com, or reach out to
Chili and myself. We'll be happy to drop you an

I don't know if you've heard about the Southwest Airlines
new policy for plus size passengers. Yes, it's going to
cost you more to fly with the airline starting in January.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
Yes, we'll tell you more. Got some thoughts, Yes, we
have some thoughts to you. Ooh if so eight sixty
six nine seven three sixty one. If you don't know
what we're talking about and you're headed to the airport, woo,
you might want to hear this coming.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Up ninety seven point one wash FM Toby and Chilly
in the morning. Southwest Airlines has a new policy that
goes into effect in January that's got some people feeling
some sort of way this morning.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Customers who need more space are going to be required
to purchase an additional seat and pay the fees, and
refunds will only be available if the flight has open seats. Okay,
so people of a certain size are now going to
have to pay for two seats up front.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
That's just bothersome to me because as a person of
some sort of size, I've felt that anxiety, the anxiety
of having to buckle the seat belt. And I will
tell you I'm used to Southwest and the idea that
it's open seating. Yeah. I like the open seating.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
But the open seating is going away at the time
I know.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
And that's just another one of the changes Southwest keeps making.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
They're saying that they want everybody who's flying with them
to be comfortable, regardless of your size. Right, So if
you are a plus size passenger, then you're guaranteed to
have more room, and if you're not, then you're guaranteed
not to have somebody encroaching onto your seats.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
I don't know that that makes me feel good if
I have to pay for two seats yea, if I'm
flying someplace alone, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if it deters people
from flying with You're a.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I don't know. I mean I love flying Southwest Chile
as you know. But this change, along with some of
the other changes, bags not flying free anymore. And this
stuff is just making me scratch my head. It's like,
it wasn't broke.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
When we were starting to lose money. They had to
make some change somehow.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
But it wasn't broke. Why are you trying to fix it?
People were a big fan, just like every other airline.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Well, I guess we'll have to see how it all
works out. If you've got thoughts on Southwest and the
entire plus sized thing, you can send us a quick
voice note. If you're listening on your iHeart app, you're
signed in, just tap speaking send. Always love hearing your thoughts.
Now stay with us because we've got the news on

An iHeartRadio station. Coming up on Top Stories, Top of
the hour.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Fairfax County Public Schools are going to start screening attendees
for weapons at school board meetings.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Top Stories at the top of the hour. That's what
we call the news. Give us like eight minutes and
we'll get chip to speed as we start a brand
new day. Ninety seven point one WASHFM would tell me chilly.
Speaker 6 (10:12):
In the morning, Top Stories, Top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
A gunman opened fire at a Catholic school in Minneapolis yesterday,
killing two children and injuring seventeen others, most of them students.
Authorities have identified the shooter as twenty three year old
Robin Westman, who died by suicide, and the FBI is
investigating the attack as a hate crime. The Trump administration
plans to take over Union Station as part of its
(10:41):
federal crime crackdown, citing the station's disrepair. Meanwhile, the Department
of the Interior is moving quickly to hire at least
one hundred new park police officers to address staffing shortages
and meet the growing law enforcement demands in the DC area.
A DC grand jury declined to right Sean Dunn, who
(11:02):
admitted to throwing a sandwich at a federal agent. Prosecutors
had sought a felony assault charge, and Done has since
been fired from the Justice Department job that he had.
Fairfax County public schools are going to start screening attendees
for weapons at school board meetings using the detection systems
much like the ones in middle and high schools. So
(11:25):
attendees are now being encouraged to arrive early for meetings
to allow time for the added security measures. And a
new study ranks the safest states to raise a family,
and it puts Virginia at fifteenth and Maryland at twenty second.
They base this on factors including crime, traffic crashes, school
(11:46):
gun incidents, and air, water and road quality. Forecast for today,
it's going to be another stunner, partly cloudy skies, highs
around eighty right now fifty three and only.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
For those who've been asking one of the reasons why
I disappeared for a couple of weeks is because I
had to have knee surgery. With Toby and Chilly in
the morning where you get top stories at the top
of the hour, you just got the news and coming
up in just a few minutes. Speaking of that knee surgery,
one of the things that I have to look forward
to would be low impact exercises, and I'm gonna have
(12:21):
to go to one of those what do they call
those people, the physical therapist? Yeah? Then yes, Well, Tatsi
is hanging on the line from Clinton. She has some thoughts,
some advice to share about low impact exercise in her life.
Stay there, we'll talk to Tati in just minutes. Ninety
(12:41):
seven point one watch FM. Her name is Tati, Toby
and Chilly in the morning, ninety seven point one wastch FM. Chilly.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
She's on the phone with us from where from Clinton, Maryland?
And she heard us, I guess talking about your seeking
some advice about physical therapy yesterday.
Speaker 7 (13:00):
Well, you were talking about exercises for your knees. On
twenty sixteen, I had both of my knees completely replaced
at the same time by.
Speaker 8 (13:09):
Two different times.
Speaker 7 (13:10):
The best therapy I found was the exercise bicycle, and
as I got stronger, I.
Speaker 8 (13:17):
Could push through the pane.
Speaker 7 (13:19):
I would move the seat closer to where the pedals
were so that I had to bend them to make
them work.
Speaker 8 (13:27):
Today, because if I walk, you'll.
Speaker 7 (13:29):
Never know that I had a boat done. And I'm
not a young chicken anymore.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
So you're talking about a bicycle and not necessarily those
pedals that are under the desks, right.
Speaker 8 (13:41):
No, No, I'm talking about the bikes. I got physical
therapy or one you can get at home, where you
can adjust the seat to where you have to bend
your knees more for shorter people and if for people
who are.
Speaker 7 (13:54):
Taller, then we would have to bend our knees more.
And that helps me get through not getting scar tissues.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
And making them bedrob.
Speaker 7 (14:04):
Today I can sit cross flags every day.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
How long did the pain last?
Speaker 8 (14:08):
The pain from the hurting needs? Right?
Speaker 7 (14:11):
How long? Paine sticks around for a couple of months
but it'll go away?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Okay, Well, Toby, you're about five weeks post DOBS, so
you've got a waste to go. I think, yeah, you
got a.
Speaker 7 (14:21):

know what it is?
Speaker 3 (15:50):

us have two? What is it? And we did give
you the clue that it is not like an object?

Speaker 4 (16:13):
A middle name?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Hmm? Really okay?
Speaker 3 (16:16):
And you think about three and a half percent of
people have two middle names?
Speaker 6 (16:19):
I would say, though, do.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
You know anybody give me an example of somebody with
two middle names? I don't know any Yeah, me, neither.

It's Toby and Chilli's crazy first date.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Alright, Lisa in Elkwood, tell us what happened.
Speaker 9 (24:00):
So I met through a friend. We had talked several weeks,
and he finally asked me out. I was so excited.
He did show up to the house a little early.
Thank goodness, my dad was there, so I introduced him
to my father. And I am the youngest of three
other sisters, and my older sister happened to be there. Well,
(24:22):
the look on her face when I went to go
introduce the two of them, she looked like she had
seen a ghost. And I was like, okay, what the heck.
So I was like, okay, well, give me a couple
of minutes. I've got to go, you know, I'm sitting
a shop and.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
I'll be back down.
Speaker 9 (24:36):
My sister actually ends up following me up the stairs
and she's like, I tried to pick that guy up
last night in the bar. And I was like, what,
please tell me nothing, and she's like, oh no, he
like really shrugged me off, Lisa, And I was like,
oh my god. Okay, so she didn't go back out
at all with me. So anyway, I go back out
(24:58):
and the poor guy, you just could tell the awkwardness. Well,
we did go out on the date, and it was
very awkward the whole time. We did not have a
second date.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Did he at any point say to you what you
already knew?
Speaker 6 (25:10):
Nothing?
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Nothing.
Speaker 9 (25:11):
Throughout the date. I was afraid to like bring it
up because you could always see the awkwardness across from him.
I felt that he felt so out of place that
she did not know what to say.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Hey, Lisa, if your sister hadn't tried to pick him
up at a bar. Do you think you guys could
actually have dated.
Speaker 9 (25:28):
I think we probably would have dated a while. Yes,
