We're in a line that feeds into various self checkouts.
In front of me is a woman with her cart.

checkout opened, so I waited a beat and then I
went ahead to that open checkout. Well, she comes running
up to me and says, excuse me, there's a line here,

and I said yes, but you weren't there, she said,
but my cart was, and I was just standing nearby.
And I said, well, I wouldn't have known that, and
I could tell she wasn't letting it go, so I did,
and I said, okay, fine, and I walked back and
I got back in line, and she went ahead of me.
I just sat there, going, wait, am I wrong here?

Or am I right here? Do you think that I
was wrong for going ahead even though her cart was there.

As a judge, I would say you were in the right.
She was in the wrong. And here's how why I
would say that you left your cart there, ma'am. When
you left your cart, you abandoned your place in line.

She walked away from her cart, Toby, and then a
checkout opened, so I waited a beat and then I
went ahead to that open checkout. Well, she comes running
up to me and says, excuse me, there's a line here,

and I said yes, but you weren't there, she said,
but my cart was, and I was just standing nearby.
And I said, well, I wouldn't have known that, and
I could tell she wasn't letting it go, so I did,
and I said, okay, fine, and I walked back and
I got back in line, and she went ahead of me.
I just sat there, going, wait, am I wrong here?
(21:41):
Or am I right here? Do you think that I
was wrong for going ahead even though her cart was there.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
As a judge, I would say you were in the right.
She was in the wrong. And here's how why I
would say that you left your cart there, ma'am. When
you left your cart, you abandoned your place in line.
Therefore you abandoned your position. Thank you, Judge Toby, that's

Say, we've all had those moments where we had to
step away from our carts to grab that one more thing,

annoyed that she insisted that just because her cart was there,
