It's Toby and Chili's crazy first date. Welcome Sean from DC.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Tell us your story.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
I met this girl in school and we kept in
contact over the years, but we were always in another
relationship that we finally decided to pull off the band
aid and I was deployed overseas, but I had a
four day pass. We started talking around Valentine's Day. I
asked her she wanted to come out to my fort
day pass as she met me in Dubai.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
So our first date was Dubai.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
On the Palm Island and we went and just explored
the city and went to the aquarium and everything else.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
But our first real date in person was in Dubai.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Wow, how do you top that microphone drop? We went
to Dubai and you.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
That seems really risky because it could have gone really badly.
And then she's kind of I mean not that Dubai's
a man plays to be stuck in, but then she'd
be stuck there. So how did that date end?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
So we ended up having a blast and really enjoying
our time together, and five years later we're married.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
With a little kid.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Oh wow, congratulations, and are you still serving our country
wearing the uniform of set Armed Force.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I am, I am.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Thank you for your service, Sir, thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Did she ever say why? She felt pretty good about
meeting you across the globe for a date, a first date,
official one.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
We have been like distant friends, like we had the
same friend groups. We had known each other for probably
fifteen years at that point.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Was there a moment during that Dubai date where you
looked at her and said, yeah, we can never be
just friends.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Probably once or twice.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
