today goes. Start the clock. Take number one. Josh Allen
is the best player in the NFL in primetime, in
crunch time, anytime. There are some excellent quarterbacks. Lamar was
great last night. Justin Herbert looked amazing in Brazil. We
can go on and on. Mahomes will be there, Burrow

will be there. The best quarterback in the NFL is
Josh Allen. Josh Allen had two hundred and fifty one
yards passing in the fourth quarter, two point fifty one
in the fourth The reason they won that game forty
one to forty and an amazing instant classic. That's a
phrase we used too much, instant classic. This was an
instant classic. The reason they won that game though the
sneaky field goal the Bills got at the end of

the first half. Bills get the ball with under thirty
seconds to play. They say, screw it, Let's see if
Josh can do some Superman stuff. The Ravens are protecting
the sideline. They have all the defensive backs back. Josh
throws one to Shakir. He throws one to Kincaid. The
Ravens run off the field because they thought the time
is expired. No, there was one second left. They get
a field goal that ends up being the game winning points.
Superman throws by Allen at the end of the first half.

Ridiculous quarter of mass destruction in the fourth quarter. Best
player in the NFL is Josh Allen. Take number two.
I support the Buffalo fans who left that game early.
I disagree with Josh Allen who says have faith in us. Josh,
they were watching the game. I don't know if you
had faith in that defense. If we're being honest, they
could not tackle Derek Henry. They could not do anything
the Bill's defense. And let's be honest about the fans.
You left early, this a Sunday night game. You got

work tomorrow, The kids have school tomorrow. Josh, if you
ever tried to get out of Highmark Stadium through the
civilians exits, I once sat in a car for two
and a half hours just trying to leave the stadium
after a Bill's playoff game in which they destroyed the
mac Jones Patriots. It's a nightmare. It's terrible, and there
is no sweeter feeling than looking at your wife, your
significant other, even your buddy and be like, should we

get out of here? Should we get out of here? Hell? Yes,
let's go now. I know it's supposed to be blasphemous.
Never leave the game early. You missed the comeback. I
did not think that comeback was coming. I cannot believe
how bad the Bill's defense looked, especially tackling. I don't
blame anybody for leaving I would have done it. I'm
not ashamed, you admit, and you know what, you would
have done it too. Take number three. Week one is

a liar. That is one of the takes I say
every year, all the time. And it's important to remember
right now. What is Week one is liar? Mean? The
results you get from week one are very very often
not fortune tellers about the rest of the season to come.
If your team looked great week one, it's possible they
may be terrible. Watch if your team look terrible week one,

they may go to the super Bowl. It happens all
the time, has happened for decades. Look no further than
last year's twenty twenty four Week one, which saw the
Jayden Daniels Commanders lose by seventeen points and then went
out to have a miracle season to the title game.
Look at last season's Week one from the New Orleans
Saints and Derek Carr, who won by thirty seven points.

And we're a terrible team who after the second week
did nothing. Week one is a liar. I promise you.
If you're down to the dumps right now, things can
turn around. If you're riding high and talking all kinds
of crap on your text threads. You may win one
game the rest of the season, and you know who
better hope that Week one is a liar. Take number four,
the Detroit Lions. Better hope the Week one is a liar.

Here's my deal with the Lions. I'm going to give
them a pass for one week, one week only, because
I can't say Week one is a liar and then
start to scream about all the different things about Dan
Campbell has been held up by these coordinators and Jared
Goff just turned into a pump kiss because Ben Johnson
isn't there. I can't say that I'd be a hypocrite.
Week one is a liar, but I'll tell you this
Week two tells the truth and Week three is George

Washington cannot tell a lie. You can take any conclusions
you want. Week two of the Lions play the Bears
at home. Week three they played the Ravens, So if
they show up against Baltimore like dated against green Bay,
they could lose by thirty. I'm going to trust the veterans,
the roster, Dan Campbell, Jared Goff that they are way
better than that terrible product they put out against green

Bay and the lambeau Field because they were really bad.
I mean, that was like every nightmare you would have
of a Lions fan that we have been in this
magical run for the last few years. And maybe all
these loudmouths on TV are really right about hearing Glenn
and Ben Johnson. I think I'm going to give them
a pass, but I'm being honest. I think they've earned it.
I'm being generous as well. I will not give them
a pass Week two, Take number five. I have to

go to the other side of that game. Packers were
the most impressive team in Week one. The most impressive
team in Week one was the Packers. I was more
impressed with them with than what I saw from Philadelphia
than what I saw from Buffalo, certainly because those teams won,
but they looked they had vulnerabilities. They didn't look that great. Obviously,
Buffalo gave up forty points. You look at green Bay,

it's not just that they scored enough points to win.
They slapped around Detroit's You are not seeing a thousand

I don't think so. They have a coach who's been
deep in the playoff, they have a quarterback who's ready.
They have a defensive defense was awesome. Number one most
impressive team yesterday the Green Bay Packers take number six.
Aaron Rodgers speaking of the Packers, that crusty old wizard
can still chuck it unbelievable, showing he still got it.

He is reaching his gand off the white phase. He's
probably been in it for years, but he was reinvigorated yesterday.
Every single thing you could have wanted from Rogers. He
took hits and recovered, He moved, he threw on the run,
he threw from the pocket. He was playing like a jerk.
He was talking like a jerk. Afterwards, Petty Rogers was
out there that media poked and poked and poked, and

they just wanted that one SoundBite about him playing against
the Jets, and then he finally said, yeah, I'm happy
to beat everyone from the Jets organization. Remember Rogers was cut.
He sat down across the desk with Aaron Glenn was
Aaron and Aaron and Rodgers says, what you don't know me?
And Aaron Glen sails, so you don't know me? And
then they promptly released a four time MVP for the
first time in his life in any sport. And then
he threw four touchdowns against them at home. The biggest

mystery outside of what does JJ McCarthy have, which will
find out Monday night, was what does Aaron Rodgers have left?
He looked great. I don't even think the staunchest Steeler
supporter could have wanted more from rod The Steelers are
a ten and seven team. You can see it coming
a mile away. They will be in the playoffs. Take
number seven. Justin Fields was excellent for the Jets. I
have a bachelor's degree in Justin Fields because I am

from Chicago and have watched a lot of Bears games.
I don't think I've ever seen him play a better game.
He's had some electric games where he's put up some
highlights and stats and things like that. But after the
first drive for the Jets, which was very strange. They
had a third and eleven in Steelers' territory and they
ran it right up the middle instead of for a
field goal. You're like, that's how you're gonna do Justin Fields.
You don't respect him at all, you don't believe in
him at all. He's a professional quarterback, he's a veteran.

(07:37):
But then after that they just kind of let him loose.
He looked great. And yet, as is often and pretty
much always the case with Justin Fields, he doesn't win games.
He doesn't and the apologists will say it's not his fault.
They made a sixty yard field goal and there was
a fumble. But Justin Fields has looked great before and
as again, I have a bachelor's degree. Sometimes he really
really enchants you, and he almost never wins the game.

(07:59):
And the Jets are zer one to one, take number
eight the Giants. Russ is playing for his job next week.
The Giants scored six points. They've been awful Week one
the last three years. It was one of the least
impressive debuts by any team in all thirty two markets,
and Russell Wilson is playing for his job. I think
Brian Dabel, the backstory is so interesting, so Brian Dabele.

(08:20):
They mess around with quarterbacks in the offseason, and you
hear rumors of Stafford and Rogers and this and that
they get Russ Wilson, and from day one Dabel has
had blinders on. It's not going to be a competition
with Jamis Winston. Although probably Jamis has earned it. He
didn't want to hear that he draft Jackson Jackson Dart.
It's not going to be Jackson Dart. It's Russ, Russ, Russ, Russ, Russ.
That has been his bottom line, and start to finish.

(08:42):
Russ comes out, is awful. In the first game, they
score six points, and now I think he's playing for
his job. I think Dabel will stick with in Week
two they play the Cowboys, but I think everything is
on the table. I think Russ being pulled at halftime.
I think Russ being pulled after two or three series.
You have to why would you stick to Russ. You
have no obligation to him as a fan base or
an organization. He has no skins on the wall. He's

not some giants great who's earned it. He's on his
fourth team in five years, and you're about to get fired.
You have this rookie standing by with fifty different wristbands
and gold chains. Put him in take number nine. I'm
gonna keep going. Russ was maybe worse after the game
than he was during the game. Did you see the
press conference with Russell Wilson. He says, I just focus
on what we can control.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
You know, I thought we computer our butts off today,
and it's a physical game. I thought, you know, we
left it all in the field and gave it are
all physically, you know, you know, just kind of you
stand tall in the midst of you know, a midst
of that game, just kind of battling through it and
trying to find a way to find a way to win.
And like I said, they stopped us in the rooms.
Let's I think that was the name of this game.

What Russ? It's Mary Todd Lincoln being like, Actually, the
play was really good. I like the set design, I
like the acting. Some of the performances were great. That
I know. There was that thing that happened. It's just awful,
But the play was good. What are you talking about?
That is worst? An ignorant quote at best someone where
you're just kind of decided what you were gonna say

before they even answered the question. It's this numbness that
he has sometimes shows no awareness whatsoever of the New
York media market, the New York Giants fan base. To
be that bad, that flat, to compete forty five percent
of your passes, to score six points against a divisional
opponent in a game you were never in, and then
to say we competed our butts off and we left
it all out. You left it all out there. All

you left out there was six points. He has that
blank eyed, I'm plugged into the wall behind me media
approach where that is not going to work. You have
to come out and say we have to do better
than that. That was horrible. It's unacceptable on and I'm terrible.
He's playing for his job in the week two Take
number ten. I'm disappointed with what kind of coach I am.
I am coaching tackle football for the first time in
my life. My son is in sixth grade, and I

found out a couple of practices in do you know
what coach I am? I'm the touch the line coach.
Touch the line. It doesn't count if you doesn't If
you don't touch the line. I'm the run to water.
I'm that guy we run everywhere. I'm the guy screaming
at these kids during conditioning that their chin strap isn't
buckled up. I'm the inseparabook. I was supposed to be
the fun coach. I'm the touch the line coach. I

(11:08):
don't like that. That's ten minutes. I have much more
to say on a lot of these things, including a
lot of these other games, other teams, and a lot
of the things I have about insecurities and myself as
a tackle football coach because I say, but touch the line.
The one thing I do not have, though, is time.
