Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to NFL Daily, where the vibes are always immaculate
on Tuesdays. I'm Greg Rosenthal. I'm here in the Chris
Westling podcast studio with my friends Jordan Rodrieg and Colleen Wolf.
The vibes are immaculate the other days of the week too.
Now I'm feeling bad for the people like Patrick. Maybe
he's gonna listen, he's not gonna.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
K love all of his co hosts equally, just like
his children. Yes, he also loves all of his sjackets,
this one equally, like this Houndstooth one.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
It's new.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
This one it's not new. It's definitely I wore a
T shirt what's in the what's in the locker room
downstairs to put on? But it's a banger it is.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Do you know what color it is?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
This was a like I'm gonna overwear it in London
one year when we.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Get like a little scarf, like a like a kerchief
for an ascot, we give Greg a makeover.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I'll take it and I'll take you giving like big
pop people. You know that they should be watching the YouTube,
So check us out there and check out what we're
doing with our segment today. We're going to do a
little news later, an update on Philip Rivers, who we
talked a little bit about, and uh Kyler Murray. I
wanted to hit on quickly before we do some TNF preview.
But the the segment from executive producer Jordan Rodrigue, Yeah,

(01:20):
same the same mindsel that brought you Quarterback Island. We've
got the vibes All Stars today. We're just you know,
we do a lot of breaking down in terms of
x's and o's. How about we just say, like, who
has who have brought the vibes this season?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
We need like a week shime drop or something. Yeah, vibes.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Yeah, like this, I don't know what's the sound of
like a crystal charging? Yeah, whatever that sound is?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Those things?

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yes, I didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Know that was the type of vibes. It's not the
type of vibe I'm going for. But that is tricky
because our vibes All Stars have to vibe together.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Yeah that's what I'm That's how I think. Okay, this,
I thought about this, you know what, but but you
know what, guys, I got your back and that's that's
a good complimentary vibe show right always. Because I was like,
what if I've picked complimentary vibes to whoever. I feel
like maybe Colleen and Greg.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Will pick I mean level, that's amazing.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Well, I've been doing this, you know, for a while now.
So sit right in the middle.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Of the vibes where we just like dartboard good vibes,
where we bring the vibes it is. It is a place.
And we actually have gotten permission from the Eagles to
use their positivity Bunny because they don't put a hit
out all. They don't need it anymore. So I don't
know we somehow missed talking about this on the show.

(02:45):
Why we missed it when the Eagles brought their positivity
Bunny into the locker room late last weekend. I love
that Colleen sent it out and you said, what did
you say, Colleen?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
That Eagles positivity rabbit better be on its way to
the Pine Barren?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Oh good, good, good reference.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I as soon as I saw this last Sunday, I
think it was Mike Garafalo who reported it on game
day morning. I thought that it surely was a joke
and this was all done in you know, a spirited way, obviously, but.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
That's never a good sign.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Can you imagine if someone brought that into your workplace
when things weren't going well it needed a boost.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
That's that's what they did.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
But it's gotta be good vibes in our locker room.
Yeah it is.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
In a best case scenario, it comes off as like
snarky tongue in cheek. However, I saw hockey with someone
from another team. They said, yeah, I don't think that
group as a whole is quite achieving what it was
going for.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Oh yeah, they're done. I it took me to watching
the game last night, but that was That was one
thing I took away from that game. However, many games
they win the rest of the season, like it's not
happening for the the that's really fat. But it's gonna
work for us. The positivity, bunny, we've got it here, Jordan,
why don't you get us started. It's gonna work for us.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
The rest in development quote running, there's.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Always money, but maybe it'll work for us.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
My first choice is the Broncos offensive line. First of all,
I don't think they're being talked about enough on the
whole for the season. First of all, schematically tied for
first and limiting sacks with just seventeen allowed all season
protector vibes.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Right.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
They're also tied for thirty yards before contact in the
run game, physicality road grading vibes right. I also think
about offensive line groups in general and how the more
continuity they have, the better vibes there are. Denver paid
all of them, so they're gonna be together for at
least the next two seasons, which is great. Also, they're

(04:53):
probably fun to have a beer with because they're used
to it at altitude, right, So you know, good hang
good vibe. That is a thing. I think that these
guys could really hold it down for the vibes, to
set the foundation for the All Vibes team. And in
case you needed more of an argument, check out Quinn Miners'
shirt here. I mean, I think we have it up
on the screen and it says I can't read it

(05:15):
from this men of men of quality, don't fear equality.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Oh wow, that.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Is my freaking vibe. Yes, Quinn Minors go off king.
I love it.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
And it's a pink shirt, like a hot pink shirt.
So he is you know what he's winning. This is
a ton up of he.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
He is my vibe and he's like universally acknowledged at
this point among the tape eds is like the best
guard in the league is famous for loving to show
his big beer belly, at least when he was coming
into the league. Doesn't looks like he's in better shape
honestly now than he was back then. Not that he
wasn't very athletic.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Yeah, that's a tight fitting shirt right there. Men of
quality don't fear equality. And you know what, this sets
the foundation whatever you guys throw whoever the hell you
want in there at this point. Okay, so Broncos old
line or holding it down I had, they're setting the vibes.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I have something.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
I have two things off of that, because first of all,
what offensive lineman wouldn't be incredible to have a beer with.
I know a lot of offensive linemen. One of my
favorite offensive linemen is Joe Thomas. By the way, I
don't know if you guys know this, but he started
his own beef company and he had Hall of Fame

(06:23):
beef and all different types of cuts, waggoo burgers, anything
that you could imagine.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
You can get it delivered to your house. It's from
his farm.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
He used to send us frequently pictures of him butchering.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
I don't even know what, send me some after this
ad reach are Let me.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Just tell you this direction twenty is the promo code.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Okay, okay, but anyway, it is really good though. So
you mentioned that the offensive line.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I'm going to mention the guy playing behind that offensive
line at Bonix.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
His fourth quarter is good vibes. Okay, good good vibe
for me.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
And just thinking about that whole scene against the Giants,
first of all, and how many times they've been able
to sort of replicate those things a little bit against
the was it the Patriots? And I just think that
for a quarterback that is still as young as he
is in his development to be able to have that
composure in these games is just you want that in

(07:24):
your group.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
You want a leader like that.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
You want someone who's not going to panic when things
are going wrong. You want that that chaos to center
everyone and everyone's energy.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
And that's what Boonix does.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
So yeah, I mean he's he should maybe order some
Hall of Fame beef.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
The best signs for him throughout his career is how
much is offensive lineman and his teammates cape for him.
They love themselves, do not.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
And I was like, something's happening behind the scenes, and.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
I don't know what it is ESO vibe.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yes, but I'm also waiting for Greg to start giving
him a little bit more flowers for you know, the
coming along having a couple of good games, you know,
putting some some game winning drives together. At some point
we'll have it happen. I also think that in alignment
with what you're I think it's great because he actually,
to me, really resembles one of the great actors of

(08:20):
our generation, a young William Dafoe.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
And William Dafoe is much better looking at young a
young woman.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
What is this distain for Bonette.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I'm not I'm just saying William Dafoe, anytime he gets
the chance of one of one.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
You're going to start seeing him in your ghost movies.
At this point, was that the right was that the
right direct leaning in on Nicks here, I'm looking at you,
I'm looking at you.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I have no idea what that reference is that the director?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
What's now? This is not This is not good art
vibes for me? All right, we're coming back, coming out
as a real me head, right though.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
I got to bring bring it back here, I got
to bring just a little more chaotic energy I think
is going to be important. And that's why I'm putting
Jack Jones of the Dolphins into the All Vibes Team.
Former NFL Daily guest that doesn't hurt, but a player
that I love to watch it actually has played really

(09:19):
well for the Dolphins this year, and so that part
of the Vibes has been great this season. But I
also you want to have like the guys that you
want to have the beer with and everything. You want
the positivity guy like Bo Nicks, but you also want
like a little bit of salt, you know. And there
was a tweet he had after his big day in

(09:40):
Madrid where it said, you know, the Raiders should have
kept me, which I really like that. I like there
was a prompt from the Miami like a Dolphins fan
account that basically said, you know, define Mike McDaniel in
one word, and he says, you know he he quote

(10:00):
tweets it with genius. So I want a little chaos
on social media. And that's a man that like appreciates
his coach, and I think it's because his coach appreciates him.
He had that game winning an interception remember in uh Madrid.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
How could I forget?

Speaker 1 (10:13):
How could you forget? You know, first play of overtime,
he gets the interception in the locker room afterwards, it's
this great scene and we were ready to show you
this scene, but the Miami Dolphins does not allow us
to use any of their video footage or social footage.
So I thought, instead of losing it, let's reenact it.

(10:37):
So imagine you're in Madrid. Everyone is excited. Mike McDaniel
is standing on top of a bench so everyone can
see him. In the locker room, He's already gone through
a couple players, and then it gets quiet and he
goes who else.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Who?

Speaker 5 (10:54):
Jack Jones, Jack Jones, Jack Jones, Jones Jones.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Okay, that's it. That was it. We tried well, we
nailed it. And you also have to imagine Mike McDaniel
in that moment, jumping off the bench and saying that's
effing right as he like jumps off the bench.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
He jumps off the bench, but like just out of view.
It's almost like he jumps into a bottomless pit. You
don't see where he disappears.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
I yes, a great pick, Greg and I also have
said this a couple of times now, but just to
say it again in case the Dolphins are listening and
want to start letting us choose their social clips. Very
very happy that Mike McDaniel has stayed himself this entire time. Yeah,
hasn't lost the plot. Good for him.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Yes, that was like early in the kind of a
winning streak here. I guess that was a couple a
couple of games in they've won a couple more. He
has been having a lot of fun. You can see
with Jack Jones that his coaches like him.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
And I actually wrote that down. Michael McDaniel's like goodbye again. Yeah,
we're happy about McDaniel being back to being himself.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
I noticed, Colleen. I noticed on the broadcast this last weekend.
He even was back to tying his hoodie drawstrings a
bolt tide.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
And I'm like that man is having fun.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Yes, I love it.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Jordan Brooks said before that game, before the game winning interception.
By the way, he told the rest of the defense,
y'all stop the run. Mariota is gonna throw me the
ball because he can't throw and exactly what happened. So
you know, you want to love it, you need a
little bit of you need a little bit of spice.
Not everyone could be Jack Jones in the locker room,

(12:37):
but he's backing up with his play you need, you
need a couple of Jack Jones tapes. So I'm adding
him to the OWL Vibes off all starts.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
I love it absolutely.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Let's get another.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
I think, you know, I kind of another NFL Daily
friend of the show, which doesn't hurt. As we've said,
I'm gonna go with Kobe Turner, defensive tackle. Okay, he
is a multi hyphen it at this He's a team captain,
a singer to the level of going viral for his
covers of wicked songs and classic and modern hits, and

(13:09):
also even getting pretty far on the show the Masked Singer.
Like I mentioned, he is a friend of the podcast.
He has been a great guest for us. And he's
also a hell of a nose tackle. He plays that
and the three tech at a pretty high level. And
he's a great hang and I just think he's he's
the complete package in terms of vibes, and so I

(13:30):
think you want that guy in your on your All
Star Vibes team.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Yeah, you want a complete package vibes guy, Like you
want someone to bring the room back together when things
are starting.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
To and just hap all of heart just happy. You
need a little golden Retriever energy.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
I think every every group in.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
The most positive way.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
That's how you describe yourself. Often do you see a
kindred No, I have a super spirit.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I apologize for my golden Retriever energy when it comes out.
His is more, I think, what everybody likes. I think
his is more probably well received than minus.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
So it is good to always have like one person
in the group that has musical talent. Yeah, you know
what I mean, it just give It's just good to have.
It's like a late night and the piano comes out
or something, or he just piano.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Comes out so easily. We just we just pull the
piano out of the back.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Just yeah. He carries a keyboard, you know. I feel
like that's when they went to London this year, he
shot a karaoke bar down full of his teammates who
came to support him singing karaoke, and then also es
also the like regular patrons of the bar, and he
stopped basically stopped traffic and shut the bar down. Good vibes,

(14:39):
good vibes.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
And that's a guy that takes initiative and he's proactive,
he knows what he wants, and he knows that what
he's going to do will benefit not only himself but
the team in general.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
And congrats to Kobe Turner who he and his wife
are expecting their friend.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Wow, speak of good vibes. All right, who else do
you got?

Speaker 2 (15:00):
So this one is the backup listener in the progressive
commercials Teddy Bridgewater.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Yes, I love those commercials.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Oh this one gets me every time because she is
talking to her friend asking about this guy, and the
friend could not be more disengaged, could not be more disinterested,
And it's like, yeah, I don't know, asking, Well, maybe
he's afraid of commitment.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Do you think calls in Teddy Bridgewater.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Teddy Bridgewater is like go from the beginning, Hey to
you when he says you're not a mechanic, it's not
your job to fix him.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Teddy the Writer's everything.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
I need the backup listener at all times because sometimes.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
I just need to talk it out.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
I already have the answer floating around, ping ponging in
my head, but I can't come to the conclusion of it,
or I can't come to a decision.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Until I say it out loud. Verbally.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
So I just need a sounding board, and not everybody
always wants to be the sounding board all the time
because it's a lot. Yeah, so I'm going to need
a backup listener. Teddy, You're in.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
I love it. I love those commercials so much. When
is it Tyler Huntley who explains the birds and the
bees for it on Behalf of a Parent?

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Kobe Brissett gets a tone, Tommy Devido getting work, you know,
with the family.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
These guys are getting acting work. The William dafoees of
our generally fantastic. It's wonderful.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Teddy's always been a great vibes guy. Everyone's always loved
him from day one. I mean Dan Campbell essentially brought
him into the Lions for last year's playoff run as
a vibes guy. Then suddenly he was just out there
playing football again for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I guess
that was a couple years ago with Campbell. He's such
a good vibes guy that he actually got suspended from

(16:45):
his volunteer coaching role after he helped his high school
win I Believe a state title in his first and
only year, and he was suspended this offseason for providing
impermissible benefits, and they found out what that was was
he was helping to pay for his kids who could
not afford uber rides, meals and recovery services out of pocket,

(17:07):
which was against the rules. And so that's why he's
back in the NFL now instead of coaching.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Yes, it is equally everything that is right and wrong
with society is Teddy bris menstorship doing everything right and
getting punished for it.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Oh my god, are you kidding me? The audacity?

Speaker 4 (17:28):
How dare they?

Speaker 3 (17:28):
He gets punished for being a good guy. That's where
we are right now.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
So he's kind of taking that role. I think that
boxes out some of the other like you have to
kind of have that aged quarterback that boxes out case
Keenum would have been an option. Josh Johnson. Can you
imagine what a great Hango Johnson is.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
That dude's got story.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
There's no way he's lasted like almost twenty years in
the NFL without almost ever playing, without just being like
incredible vibes. So I'll I'll go to an announcer. We
need someone to be outside of the game, and I'm
just gonna give JJ Watt a little bit of love, Okay,
and uh, what I.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Took one of my vibes. Guys.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Well, I mean it's a little weird to be possessive
about the vibes. Guys, it's our competing that means we're
I'm a bad vibe. We're all sharing him. Bring you
back in es first year not an easy thing to do.
You step into the booth. He's a pleasant hang on

(18:26):
a Sunday. He's a good he's a good analyst, and
I think he's gonna get even better. And I do
love the transformation that he's had as a as a
public figure because he kind of had a reputation as
a bad vibes guy. He did early in his career.
I remember our great friend that the studio is named after,
Chris Westling, spending many a podcast rant talking about those

(18:47):
bad vibes and kind of the look at me and
now you see this. He's a family man and he
just he enjoys the game, and his love of the
game I think comes through. That's what I want out
of my announcers. And he's just good. Hang. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
I love so a lot of times on Sundays in
the newsroom, Colleen, I'll spend a lot of that time
muttering to myself next to Greg about what I'm watching
sounds great.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yeah, it's just like put in my ear.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Very stressful for Greg, so he put his ear pods.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Jordan, I'm doing the same thing, just by myself and
my living root, muttering to myself.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
God.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
And this past weekend I was muttering positive things about
jj Watt because I was really impressed. Now, I don't
know that I would have put him on this team
when he was a player, for example, but I'm really
appreciating jj Watt the broadcaster. I'm a Greg Olsen truther
for life here, so don't get it twisted. But I
wanted to join in and and give him some pop

(19:45):
with you.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
And I think it's like, you know, pop stars, there
can be more than one. We don't have to pit
these two men against each other.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
But that is what fans of pop stars death.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
If that's what they that's what fans of pop stars do.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Don't compare flowers. They all are beautiful.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
I just think it's cool he's come so far. He
started out like really funny, like self deprecating, talking about
his new broadcasting hair and all this stuff. On the
broadcast smart and then he goes into like really good
explanatory chops as the season continues, Like this game against
the Jags and the Colts, he had one of my
favorite moments all season from a broadcaster where he Riley
Leonard came in and JJ Watt very quickly and efficiently

(20:23):
explain how the hand signals across the line of scrimmage
were helping Riley Leonard understand which direction the play needed
to flip and how crucial that was to getting Riley
Leonard like centered in the game and understanding what he
needs to do. And it was all hand signals that
he was pointing out, oh, which I thought was so cool.
And it's those little things that I think just bring
these broadcasts, give them a little bit extra, and I

(20:46):
think JJ Watt's doing that. He has players good vibes.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I think his transformation I think started in Arizona. He
started to become a good vibes player and guy at
the end of his career.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
I think just truly at the heart of it, he's
always just been a little bit of a ham and
now that he's in front of the camera really like
as the job. He doesn't have to try and get
in front of the camera, he can just let the
other stuff happen. So I think, actually he's just found
where he needs to be and it's like that communication
and the fact that he's developing as a broadcaster and

(21:17):
connecting with people. I think that truly is maybe his
journey in life and where you think he's alsome.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
That is beautifully said Colleen. Wow, I've been doing a
lot of work get her on the All Stars and he's.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Putting herself in jj wat shoo. I see what's going
on there?

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Exactly? Is your therapist name which one?

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Oh no, Suzanne, Suzanne, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah, we're with
Andrea now, oh Andrea, good work Andrea.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah. Truly, I mean he also was like a yeah,
like a twenty five year old that went from like
a walk on to maybe the greatest defensive player of
all time. And that's a lot to take in in
like five years. So you can see the maturity now,
that's what I mean. He just he's all grown up.
But he loves his job, which I think is a
great lesson for everyone out there, which is like, if
you exude a love for your job, people will like you.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
That's true, that's true.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
But I also can imagine it was difficult growing up
in that household too.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Oh YEA brothers that are.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Equally as talented, and just the competitions that would go
on as well, So I could see why he was
the way he was too.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, Okay, we're going to have a coach here. Okay, Okay,
why don't you go?

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Yeah, I think we needed a little more concerning chaotic
energy entering the all star vibes Rookay, I don't This
guy kind of freaks me out. I don't know much
about him as a person. I don't really want to
know anymore about him as a person, respectfully, because I'm
worried about what I might discover. But no, I present

(22:47):
to you, Scott Matlock, everybody, oh the most I mean, yeah,
let's just leave it there. This is a guy.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
This is an audio medium.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
This okay, Scott Mattlock archer let's bitch chargers, full back slash,
defensive lineman, slash tight end slash enforcer in a variety
of phases, including on special teams. Uh is a man
of significant stature. He's about three hundred pounds and so
he also is standing here with two with a double

(23:20):
arm sleeve wrist tape, gloves, elbow tape, is it?

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Head tape?

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Head tape wrapped around a mane of red hair and
a massive red beard and EyeBlack that's sort of like
gothic style dripping down his face.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
You know who he sort of looks like is the
guy that sings scornful woman and Richmond of.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
North of Richmond. No, nobody here.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
I'm just saying, I don't again, I don't need I
don't need to know anything else. I just know he
needs to be in the All Vibes room because that's
dude's a vibe.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
He looks like a vibe.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
That team was a ib on Monday night.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
They sure were greg a real vibe.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
We were talking, we were talking in this section going
into overtime, and I was like, I have no idea
like which team. You know, the Chargers are just hanging
on by their life. But but even going in overtime
we were talking about, doesn't it just feel like, actually,
this is the season. The Chargers are just gonna find
some crazy way to win this and the Eagles will
find some crazy way to lose it. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
No, I mean like it was that difficult for them
to find.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
It I love it. I love Greg's I call it
his kind stern voice. He goes, this is an audio medium.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
We just need to unpack it a little bit.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
It's just like a long silence. I was getting uncomfortable.
I'm gonna I'm gonna pick a coach for this. Let's
listen to little locker room speech from Dave Canals, because
you know, when they first hired Dave Canalis had our doubts.
But if if you were going to make the case
for Dave Canals, here's what it was. It was like, well,

(24:59):
he's going to build up his quarterback and just make
them feel like a million bucks, help them improve. Okay,
that's happening. It might not all make sense, but like
his mentor Pete Carroll before him, maybe a little bit
like a Mike Tomlin team, that the sum will somehow
be greater than its parts, even if the numbers and
the schematic advantage isn't totally there. And Dave Canalis that

(25:22):
if you look at this pant Panther's team, that's what's happening.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
It's giving Ben Johnson, I try.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
To mess it up for you a couple of cons,
but you wouldn't let it happen.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
We love a humble leader too, and we love the intensity.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
Sully and I got the same exact brief moment. This
is an audio medium, so I'll describe it where the
eyes bulge. We got it and I love it because Okay,
here's what I love. And you guys should check out
a later end upcoming eupisode of NFL Daily where we
actually talk to Brent Tillis, who is the EVP of
football operations in Carolina, describing They've got this really cool dynamic,

(26:09):
Dave Canalis being very much a part of that. Dan
Morgan is like again ex player all ball, like nose
is scouting and really like fundamental and like really like
you know, getting in the weeds on team building and everything.
And Brandt is a little bit more of the like
high concept, looking at the entire organization mathematically and analytically,

(26:32):
be very honest about what is luck and what is real.
And Dave Canalis is like radical positivity truly and it
is like together it all works and it's crazy to watch.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
And not to mention they have one of the most
elite mascots in the entire league in Sir Per but
watching the Titans, which is something I haven't done a
whole lot of this year, but I have watched them
and just watching cam Ward shed aunt delpit like he
was some type of unnecessary outerwear that he could just

(27:04):
take off, shake him off. It was unbelievable. I don't
know how he was not sacked. I don't know how
he didn't get taken down to the ground. But that
was an awesome play by cam Ward for the Titans.
Who when I think about the Titans and the Panthers,
they sort of remind me of each other. Like the
Panthers are sort of a year sort ahead maybe of

(27:26):
where the Titans are, and maybe the Titans are going
to be the next Panthers.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
So I'm hoping that whoever the next head coach is.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah, just like Pryce Young had that bad first year
as the number one pick, he needs the positivity rabbit
he needs.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Maybe maybe it's just the coach he need something.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Different than Brian Callahan and Mike McCoy.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
We could put Cam Warren on the Vibes All Stars,
remember earlier when he his fame is quote earlier and
he's that shake off was amazing. Put him on the
all I like that.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
I actually liked the fact in a way that his
teammates jokingly kind of got on him after the win
over the Browns for being a little like upset, like
he didn't think he played that well and he wasn't
that happy at the podium. And his teammates are, you know,
in the media saying on the team planely they actually
kind of gave him grief, like, don't listen to cam Ward, like,

(28:17):
enjoy this win. It's hard to win in the NFL,
but I like, I like that cam Ward's got the yeah, tiger. Yeah,
all right, let's take a quick break on the other side.
We will talk a little news and we'll talk a
little t NF. The vibes.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
They're strong, they're fantastic.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
A lot of teams, uh and uh, this is definitely,
I don't maybe the best best feeling.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
Just a wonderful, wonderful feeling of winning and thrill of victory.
It's certainly in the discussion I put in the discussion
the birth of my seven children, uh, my marriage, you know,
in the conversation, in the conversation, just joyful.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
I'm so happy for the Chargers and I'm so happy
for Jim Harball. Good you get to have this win
and you get to have you read children and your marriage.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
That's it's my favorite type of humor because like he
is joking, he is funnier, he's leaning into his own bit,
but he also means it too. Yeah, and he also
is believes it in every fiber of his being in
the moment. It's the same way that like when I
finish a book that I really love, like I do
believe in that moment, I think that might be the
best book I've ever read, or or a movie or

(29:42):
a movie. Like when you see a movie, it's like
that might be my favorite movie of all time. You
just you just you swept up because that's the one
that just happened.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
So you're a podcast.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I have a real problem finishing books because I don't
like endings of things, so I always leave the last
few pages.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
I can't do it.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
That's psychotic behavior. That's bad vibes. Are we We're not
done with Andrea about that way? Yeah, we're not done
with the all vibes that is like a one that
is kind of like a leaving doors, Like I leave
all cabinets open at all time, and then I think like.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
A what, yeah, okay, crazy or like a.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Tiny bit of food left, and it's kind of like
you're just leaving for the possibility of more. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Em deserves every metal and a war leader.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
It's open at all times.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
I mean, not on purpose, but it's light's on. True happens.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
No, not a like Greg says. No, I just clicked
them seventeen times before I leave the Oh my god,
cabinets open.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
And I probably share that there's healthy levels of undiagnosed spectrum.
You know, it's it's great.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
I've got it. I've got it. Can you imagine living
with me?

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Can you imagine living with me? Yes, vibes aren't done.
We're gonna wrap up the vibes and then yeah, then
we'll get to the news.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Okay, well, we have assembled quite the team here, just
to just a recap we have if I can even
read my writing here, we have for the viewers Mike McDaniel, okay.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Was he officially on? Okay? Well let them yeah right, that.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Was the first one we won him on.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Oh yeah, Denver's offensive line, bo Nix's fourth quarter. We
have Kobe Turner Teddy Bridgewater as the backup listener.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yeah, JJ Watt in the booth.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
I have mj D and mooch written down in parentheses
just to throw in. And then our guy from the
Chargers who looks like all about Mattock.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
You had to chat John, Mike McDaniel came in had
at moment right.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
Yes, I would add Maria Taylor, who is I was
allegend and icon and also Maria Taylor's specifically her Instagram
posts where she's getting Mike Florio and Chris Simms to
the dance and Jason Garrett to dance. And I gotta say,
Mike Florio is really improving. Wow, really he really is.
I have watching the tape. I'm watching the tape. Wow,

(32:02):
it is she She's onto something.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
I was actually really surprised at some of the moves
in that studio.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
And you know what I love. He gives it like
he gives it everything he's he commits. I love it
that they all do.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Like that group so much more because they are all
buying in and they're yes anding they are nobody is
too cool for it, and they are leaning all of
the way it.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
And of course she is the fearless leader of that group.
So I feel like maybe they wouldn't commit as much
if she weren't like steering them. So shout out to
Maria Taylor, because that's a side of love her. That's
a side of all three of those men that I
never thought exactly.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
As his former employee. Yes, I have not seen that side.
I know I need to get on this story.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
You are gonna love this, Greg.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
You have such an afternoon a yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
Opening cabinets, watching Mike Florio.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Exactly what else is there in life?

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Finally, I would like to throw in that this team
should be wearing the throwback unis that we all love
that bring good vibes and roll when we see them.
The Kelly Greens, which it's tough for me to even
talk about the Kelly Greens right now, but I'm gonna
throw them in there, just because I do have an
undying love for the Kelly Green uniform.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
It reminds me of Randall Cunningham. It reminds me of
early Eagles, So that's where I go with that.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
I also love, specifically the creamsicles. I just think that
they're gorgeous. The colorway is incredible, the logo, all of it.
So we're into that also, Pat Patriot, that's a fantastic one.
I can't get enough of it. This was maybe when
the Patriots played the Giants, and I just felt like

(33:37):
this was one of the most classic uniform matchups of
all time, with the Patriots wearing their pat Patriot one
and then finally the last one, Oh orange Crush, Denver's
orange Crush. I think that they are maybe four of
the most beautiful throwback uniforms in the entire league.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Yeah, and I loved that Bucks Seahawks game because both
of them it was beautiful. That was like, First of all,
that was one of the games of the second of all,
that was a visually stunning game.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
My favorite, the Hawks is so good.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
Everyone hated those Patriots uniforms when it was happening. Everyone
loves the helmet, but those specific red ones at the
time were not popular. Everyone wanted to get rid of them.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
But I agree it is more about the logo and
the helmet. But I do like I do like them all.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
I love that you added a little bit of a
little bit of flair. And I hate to do this,
but we actually have some some breaking news. What Jalen
Hurts just committed another turnover.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Okay, I'm leaving Boom. You're getting cold you're getting cold
for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Bad vibes. I ruined the whole segment.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
This keeps getting worse every day.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Eric looked all panic with breaking news.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
What is the way I collapsed in my living room
screaming watching the end of that game.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
I can't believe the neighbors didn't check on me.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
That's maybe more concerning than anything else from last night.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
But yeah, and there was a police chase near me
last night, so.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
What that was. It's all happening, and it's also happening
in Indianapolis. So let's do the Philip Rivers news. We
talked about it on Monday night, so we don't need
to go to in depth. But there were a couple
key updates on Tuesday. Number one, he is signing. Uh,
they did the tryout. He apparently threw the ball. Well,

(35:28):
it's all happening. He is signing to the practice squad.
Past is physical. This is all apparently. I mean, I
think we know he's a he's a physical being. You know,
he he's getting his exercise in over the years.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
Go on, yeah, I mean, stay in limber and nimble.
You know.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
I'm just just saying, it's all the kids. They keep
them young.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
It is all the kids. I also saw a report
which kind of slipped under the radar. It was initially
from Schefter and just now reading between the lines, and
I know that Chane Siken says he won to see
how everything looks on Wednesday with Riley Leonard. There is
a report for ESPN that says Riley Leonard is week
to week, and that indicates to me there is a

(36:12):
greater chance of Philip Rivers starting this week. And that's
why there was such a panic and such an excitement
to get him in like right now. It's not to
mentor his buddy Riley Leonard. It's to go to Seattle
and try to be that defense. This freaking Sunday.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
What a way to walk.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Connected to that, I am drafting that game as my
game in the afternoon. There are much better games actually
in the afternoon. But I am watching Philip Rivers' return
if that is happening. That's not official yet, but that
looks like where it's going.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
I did find it interesting that the news came down
yesterday on his forty fourth birthday and the night that
the Eagles were playing the Chargers with Nick Sirianni, who
just so happened to be his offensive coordinator, Philip Rivers,
and his last season with the Colts, so there was
like a little bit of everything was kind of working
out and aligning in the universe.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
JJ watt Our Vibess, analyst of the day, also put out,
I love when Greg Olsen does this too. You know,
I'm still I'm not gonna I'm not comparing flowers.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Okay, I'm just saying it's like, Fyance Andrehanna are great. Yeah,
can you can appreciate them both? Okay, it's totally fine.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Okay, Okay, I'm okay, I'm fine. But he put out
a great little note today. And I love when analysts
do this where they share what they're listen like learning
and broadcast meetings ahead of the broadcast. And Philip Rivers'
son apparently ran basically a version, a high school version
of the Colts offense of Shane Steiken's scheme with his

(37:45):
son and would be on the phone with Shane Steikeen
all the time talking about how different concepts were installed
so that Philip Rivers could install them for his son's team.
And then what did they just win the state championship
or something, And.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
There's a lot of connections to with Rivers.

Speaker 4 (38:02):
This is where my attention spans got in already. But
I'm just saying it's hilarious to me because it's like,
oh yeah, I mean I can do that, and I'll
come back in and like the audacity of this man.
Nobody else he will move it well at thirty, no monny,
but Philip Rivers could be this audacious and I love it.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Joe Flacco's kind of got a little bit of it,
but not not to that level.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
He has a dusting of Philip Rivers sprinkle.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
See like if Joe Flacco went away for three or
four five years, though Rivers never moved well, so maybe
that would be His argument is like, and maybe I'm
not losing that much, but I do think you have
to have some sort of baseline. The fact that it's
against the Seahawks is crazy, but yeah, you look like
at who he's represented by, and Shane Steichen and Riley Leonard, who,

(38:47):
by the way, he mentored and kind of he coaches
up quarterbacks in the draft process. One of them was
Riley Leonard. So it could be something where Rivers is
there starting for a week or two and then they
give it back to his buddy Riley Leonard either.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Way, because Riley Leonard play well. I mean I said
this on our recap show. He played. He played pretty well.
And if he's healthy, I could I could see them Actually,
you know not. I wouldn't say making a playoff run,
but looking respectable down the stretch with Riley Leonard. But
you got to get him to that point. So band Aid,
this is Uncle Rico's style.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Band Aid Rivers is coming in.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
He's throwing it over them mountains.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Baby, he's not. He's not coming out of the lineup.
You are taking. You're not taking Philip Rivers. My guy
is going to get it done for forty nine ers.
That's the week, Dad gummt This week will be tough
Monday night football. Not much of a pass rush Philip
Rivers versus the forty nine ers. He doesn't need to
win the Super Bowl. Quab Our producer talked about like
this could be the greatest story in the history of

(39:41):
the NFL if he takes them to win the Super Bowl. Yeah,
let's let's be real. Let's have just one game, one night,
and that would be against the fort nine. Win one
game and that the aftermath of that game would feel
like a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
Polo Ties are coming back, not just Mike mcdaidon.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
You'll called it, yeah before saw oh my god, this yer.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Quickly, I wanted to mention something that came out late
last week before we wrap up news, which is just
that Kyler Murray is not going to return to the
Cardinals this season.

Speaker 4 (40:15):
Kidding me, who ever could have seen this coming.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
We did predict this, we did talk about this. Still,
I did want to get out in front of it
that he seems very unlikely to ever play for the
Cardinals again, a very weird end to his career there
where he literally was practicing for multiple weeks before they
put him on ice. And it's very similar to how

(40:38):
a handful of quarterbacks have been put on ice in
the last few years that had contract situations where the
team didn't want them on the field, like Derek Carr
and Russell Wilson right was another one. So he's gone,
I posit to you, guys, I'll ask you, like, what
do you think the market will be for Kyler Murray
in a contract that guarantees them thirty five thirty six

(41:01):
million dollars next year and then after that is pretty
much no guaranteed money.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
Well, he has such a high ceiling that I think
you know we were talking, We talked about him a
lot on this show. I could see him with Mike McDaniels,
for example. I could see if the Raiders blow the
coaching side up and start over. I could see the
Raiders taking a flyer, even on a bridge, and maybe
drafting somebody as well. I could see a lot of
teams that would would try. Right, it's it's the And

(41:29):
I'm not saying Kyler needs to be fixed. Let me
be clear on that. I think he has such a
high ceiling, but it's the ultimate. I can fix him,
yes exactly. Yeah, like I can make I can make
this work where that team clearly had not for years
and years.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
The NFL is filled with coaches who think that they
are the ones that can that can fix the quarterback
that hasn't reached their potential, especially when we've seen flashes
of that potential. So he'll land somewhere. Whether or not
he'll be successful is the question. I'm just wondering, Like,
what what's Josh rozenop to these days?

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Poor Josh Roson slamming.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Damn this Like the Cardinals have been on one. They
really they something needs to break their way soon.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
It's a reminder, by the way, Josh Rosen, that you
always get more in draft compensation for these quarterbacks on
their second try than you think. I mean, Carson Wentz
got a decent amount two different times after leaving the Eagles.
Josh Rosen got a late second from Chris Greer back
in the day. Not a great trade. I know Kyler
Murray's contract, people think like it looks terrible. Thirty five

(42:32):
or thirty six million dollars guaranteed. That's actually like not bad.
That that's not a real starting quarterback salary, and there's
it's not like a long term commitment, and they can
probably renegotiate something. So I actually think he'll have a
decent market.

Speaker 4 (42:47):
Like where the Girls gets quarterback, right, Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (42:51):
Yeah, maybe it's a third round pick. I'm not saying
it's they're going to get a first for Kyler Murray,
but I wouldn't be shocked if they get like a
future third or something like that, or like a two
a couple of years from now. That might be a
little rich Jordan.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
That feels completely accurate.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
There are more there are more teams than there are quarterbacks,
and it's not a good quarterback draft. Let's wrap up
with the Bucks and the Falcons. The Bucks are favored
by four and a half on TNF. You know, on
one hand, these are two teams that are riding the
struggle bus. Colleen, Sure they sure are. On the other hand, sure,

(43:26):
he delivered a classic on TNF last season and actually
had two games last season where they went freaking nuts.
And if there's one good matchup I think for Kirk
Cousins out there, it might be Todd Bowles because he's
seen this defense a million times and he knows how
to light it up. It's not the same Kirk Cousins
we saw last year, obviously, but if he ever was

(43:47):
going to play, well, maybe this is the night. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Well, I mean, I'm not sure I would go that far,
but yes, I believe more.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
In Baker Mayfield and the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
And it looks like there's a chance for Mike Evans
to come back in this game, which would be huge
for that offense. Also, what got me thinking about the
retro uniforms is the fact that the Bucks will be
wearing their creamsicles and the Falcons will be wearing their
inaugural nineteen sixty six season uniforms, which is also kind

(44:18):
of a rarity because usually when teams are in a color,
the other team is in white.

Speaker 3 (44:23):
But both teams are going to be in colors.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
That's like an NFL rules situation, so to get some
type of clearance for that.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
But yeah, I mean this, those are the ones with
the red helmets. I don't like when they wear those helmets.
I think the uniforms are different. I know what you're
talking about yet.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
Yeah, I'm not dialed in on the sixty six unis,
but maybe I should.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
Be at this point. So, Yeah, the Bucks, if they
lose this is.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
It could be detrimental to their division title hopes because
that would potentially tie them then with the with the Panthers.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
Yeah, what happens?

Speaker 2 (44:56):
So, I mean, all of these games are so meaningful
now as we are coming to the end of the
regular season. Falcons have already been eliminated from playoff contention
and they don't even own their first round pick for
twenty twenty six. So losses are only going to improve
the Rams draft positioning for next year.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
So what are they playing for? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (45:19):
Well, Raheem Morris said this week they're playing spoiler. They
want to be spoilers to other teams. I think this
puts this game puts the Bucks backs against the wall
even further, sort of like I know you guys used
to say all the time on the show, a wounded
animal game or cornered animal game, because it's like they
play the Panthers twice right coming up. So that makes
the pressure even higher because those games will certainly decide

(45:42):
the NFC South And so the potential for Mike Evans
being back, like you said, for the Bucks is huge.
The potential for Tristan Wurf's likely being back this week
absolutely significant game changing factor along their offensive line And
I guess that receiver because he got a touch down
pass a couple a couple weeks ago. But the bottom
line is, and I expect Kirk Cousins because he's seen

(46:05):
this defense so much. Todd Bowles, you're not sneaky. We
know you only blitz the Saints at like a twelve
percent rate last week. We know that's not who you are.
You're trying to make them think you changed.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
You didn't change.

Speaker 4 (46:15):
You're going to try to blitz Kirk Cousins, and Kirk
Cousins has seen it and he knows how to diagnose
it because the Falcons don't have a lot of schemed
in pressure answers, which is very disappointing to watch. They're
like ninth in the league in unblocked pressure pressure is
allowed this season, and so Kirk Cousins setting things a
little bit more effectively at the line will probably be

(46:36):
a huge help for the Falcons. I just think this
is a points game. As much as I love the
Falcons defense this year, I just think this is a
points game. Probably Baker's got to play better.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Not getting Drake London back, so that's a problem Kirk
Cousins in this backup role. Like I know, older quarterbacks
don't want to get hit. He really doesn't want to
get hit. He is turning away from that pressure, and
yet he's thrown the ball. Okay, I would say the
last couple of weeks they went on these long drives
against the Seahawks, a good defense multiple times, but they

(47:06):
just couldn't finish it. But John lost a fumble on
one of them. They got stopped on a fourth down.
They kick kicking field goals, but they're not like the
worst offense in the league. They're good enough to move
the ball in this Bucks team, which gives up a
lot of big plays, and isn't that athletic at the
linebacker position especially they look slow. So I mean, I
give the Falcons a chance in this game. The disappointing

(47:28):
part and it just feels kind of pointless this whole
Falcons regime right now, is that it's a Raheem Morris's
supposed to be about the defense, and the defense did
start so well, and then I look at the numbers, like, defense,
isn't that much better than the offense. They're seventeenth in
EPA per play now for the season, they're twentieth in
points allowed per drive, their fifteenth in DVO. So they're

(47:49):
like a defense that's just average. The offense is a
little below average. Not much like Kyle Pitts. I remember
you believed in him that it would finally happen. It's
kind of happening now happening. He looks pretty good late.

Speaker 4 (48:01):
I guess it's like they fixed their pass rush and
Kyle Pitts and everything else just went blue.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
And John's going to go too.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Things that they just could not get right before.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
The John's going to go over two thousand yards from
scrimmage this season, like he is leading the NFL with
sixteen hundred eighty three yards, so it's a chance to
watch him. But yeah, obviously the Bucks with Godwin and
Irvin irving back and playing well, and yet they're playing
worse as a team. They did put Ben Brettison, who's
a starting guard, on injured reserve. He had returned to

(48:30):
the lineup after an injury then reinjured it last week,
so they are missing their two starting guards and that's
going to be for the rest of the season, so
they're not getting everyone back.

Speaker 4 (48:39):
I will say Atlanta's defense does have a chance to
be the factor in this game, because as correct as
all that is about how underwhelming they've been, and certainly
the statistics reflect that, and the tape reflects that. They
are also sort of a feast or famine team where
when they take away, when they create takeaways, and the
you know, the young safety Xavier Watts is playing really

(48:59):
well three and James Pearce is rushing the passer really well.
So both of those players are leading the league in
respective sacks and takeaways at their position, which has only
happened one other time in NFL history in twenty twenty.
And when these guys are for rookies, right, for rookies. Yeah,
and so when these and that's courtesy Will McFadden dug
that up. I want to make sure to cite him

(49:20):
on that. The the way that they take that they
can take over when they actually do create splash plays.
They have they have been able to do this. They
have been able to be a factor when Baker playing
as erratic as he has been playing. I think that
the Falcons, especially getting more aggressive with nothing really to lose.

(49:40):
I think that they get really a lot more aggressive
trying to make plays on the ball this game, and
that could be a factor in this or.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
When you're starting to convince me and if it's going
to be any season that it happens, it's this season
where there have been so many upsets. I don't know
if it's just because we're in the middle of it,
but doesn't it feel like there's just it's been a
disproportionate amount of upsets this season in general, compared to.

Speaker 1 (50:04):
The whole seats. The whole season is in upset. At
this point, we have an AFC playoffs without Lamar, Patrick
Mahomes and Joe Burrow. It's just an outrageous so fun
though it is great.

Speaker 4 (50:14):
Philip Rivers is back in the NFL. Like right, our
pet's heads are falling off happening.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
In the bucks, you know, to the Credit have really
only lost to good teams until last week. So if
you lose at home to the Saints, anything is on
the table. I think they'll find a way to get
a win here, but looking forward to it and I
can't recap.

Speaker 4 (50:34):
It's the Bucks, you know that?

Speaker 1 (50:35):
So I got to pick the Bucks.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
Yeah, yeah, I gotta pick the Bucks. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Let's take a twenty four hour break here. Actually it's
going to be even less. So you're listening to this
Wednesday morning, we had our Forties and free Agents with
Daniel Jeremiah talking about this rookie class and you mentioned
it earlier. We're going to be hearing the first episode
of NFL Daily's Power Players series.

Speaker 4 (50:59):
Who Yes, I'm so excited you guys now.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
I love love it by Jordan Hey.

Speaker 4 (51:02):
I love football, and I love especially knowing how people
do football and process of things, and I like going
into the nuts and bolts of like how people do
their jobs. In the league, and so it was really cool.
We had the opportunity to, like a couple just a
little light sprinkle of these capsule episodes, and so every
once in a while listeners will get them in their feed.
And the first one is up this Friday. It's Brent

(51:25):
Tillis of the Carolina Panthers. I so thoroughly enjoyed speaking
with him. He was way gracious with his time. I
think you guys are gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
I'm so excited about this because one of the things
that I love to nerd out on is people's processes. Yes,
and whenever I get a chance to like really get
in the weeds with someone about how they go of
how doing this, I find it's so interesting because it's
just a little window into how their mind works.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
And that's going to be fantastic.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Like everything that you've done with your play Caller series before, this,
I think is going to be even better. I can't
wait to hear it.

Speaker 4 (51:57):
Thank you, Colleen.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
So we're looking forward to that. Russell can forward to
the Holiday Cards episode.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Yeah, I can't wait. Oh my god, I call.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
Room okay, listen.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
I was like, hey, guys, real quick, is any chance
that there's Christmas cards for me back there.

Speaker 3 (52:10):
Like a psychopath before the show started.

Speaker 1 (52:12):
The well, we put it at the end of the
episode last week, which was a bad job by us.
And it's only been a week. It takes a little while,
but we have it up.

Speaker 4 (52:21):
It's nine hundred physical mail.

Speaker 1 (52:24):
It takes a little while. Nine District Drive. Do not
you know have a coal in a plump of coal
and Colling Wolf stocking. We need these cards, so send
it to nine hundred District car Drive. She needs them, Inglewood, California,
nine oh three oh three. Send them to Colleen Wolf
care of NFL Network again, nine hundred District Drive, Pleakwood, California,

(52:47):
nine oh three oh three. And you could contribute to
the holiday spirit here if.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
You can give, please, every little bit counts.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
Give of yourself, give us good vibes. That's it. Hit
it please, Oh God. Back in the feed later this week,
like I said, and we'll be previewing all the games.
You've got NFL power players. It's all happening, Harry.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Christmas and a happy New Year everybody.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
