Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, Hey everybody, welcome to another edition of the NFL
Fantasy Football Show. It's me and your man, MG Marcus
Grand joined by Michael Florio and Lakwan Jones. Happy Early
New Year, fellas, Happy early New Year. This is the

(00:22):
final day of twenty twenty five. Is also the final
show of the twenty twenty five season. Of course, we'll
still have the podcast for you, but in terms of
you seeing our wonderful faces on your live streams and
fast channels and all that, I guess to wait till
next year for that to happen. But we have plenty
to talk about as we wrap things up on this

(00:43):
show here today. Still to come. We are setting some
daily fantasy lineups for Week eighteen because we know some
of you out there are still jones and to play
a little fantasy in this final week of the NFL
regular season. Plus handing out some postseason awards, giving you
a way too early mock draft for twenty twenty six,
and one final Harold Fannin Watch for the season. So

(01:04):
there we go. I want to start though, because I
know for most folks the fantasy season is over. First
of all, congratulations to all of you out there who
won a fantasy championship. Anybody have some tales of victory
that they want to share with the Class Florida. I
know you had a pretty successful fantasy season.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I was in four championships and the one I was
most confident in was my home league, and yet everyone
there just defecated the bed. It was awful, but I
did win two. One of them came down to if
Caleb Williams threw a touchdown or not on that final
passing attempt. If he did, I would have lost. Luckily
he didn't. But then on Monday night, I was losing

(01:43):
all night and then Kyron got hot in the fourth
quarter put me up five. My opponent had Puka. On
that Puka Nakua touchdown, he went up two and a
half points. Again, I had Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts,
though they connected for a ten yard pass.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
That put me up by point one. And then it
came down to.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
If that Pooka Nakula catch was a catch or not,
and that is what I won by point one because
it wasn't a catch.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
But let me tell you that sweat was crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
It was a hell of an effort. Though by Pooka,
I mean, that was like a holy bleep moment. And
then we all saw the replayer like, uh, I sat.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Down and I dropped my phone and I was like,
I just lost and I can't even be mad, Like
that's the catch of the year.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
And then luckily it wasn't a catch.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I know we're all waiting for me to crash out.
I was internally crashing.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Nobody wanted you to crash out. It was a thing
that happened.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
That was one of that was one of the highlights
of the game where I'm just like, I hope that
this is a catch, because this is the catch of
the century. This is erasing Odell Beckham's one handed catch
because look how he was able to bring that ball
in the split second that he lost control. He was
already out of balance. I understand you, let's complete the process,

(03:01):
but come on, man, it was such a beautiful catch.
They should have just gave it to him. Man, but
we all know that wasn't gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I mean, look, if the officials believed in the rule
of cool, it absolutely would have been a catch. Unfortunately,
they go by the rule of rules, which means it
was a catch the.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
One time for cool points to be added. Come on, like,
you gotta get some type of fantasy points for that.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Yeah, I was very happy. Well, I would say this.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
I lost my championship actually by point three, and I
sent you guys a screenshot of who was I going
up against, and it was the Rams defense and Matthew Stafford.
So I lost my point three because Stafford ended up
rallying out at a halftime. But it's cool that league.
I always have fun with. You were King's family out there.
I wanted to win just to say, is this is

(03:51):
your king? I'm your king now, being that I'm not family.
But it was all messed up and I'll accept second
place in that league. But it was a hard faught season,
man like I wasn't even supposed to be there, to
be honest, with as many injuries I had.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Well, I was in three semi finals. I got bounced
in two of them. The one championship that I was in,
it was pretty much a wrap on Saturday night after
I got Derek hen Reid, so pretty much opened up
things for my Sunday. I got to just go and
enjoy the day and not have to worry about it.
So silver linings, I guess I don't know, but that
does get us too. Sort of our playoff wrap up

(04:26):
here in the fantasy space and figured we do our
fantasy MVPs and lvps. Let's start on the good side
of things, Lakwan, who was the most valuable player for
you in the fantasy playoffs?

Speaker 4 (04:39):
It has to be Chase Brown. Like I know, we
all remember that first half of a season where folks
were even talking about dropping and folks were talking about
trading him. But if you did trade for him during
the trade deadline, you got a gem because once he
picked it up. Man, from week nine to week seventeen,
he was averaging twenty Fantasy points per game. He finished
as the RB six. My guy was getting a hundred

(05:00):
in seven screaming yards per game. This is one of
the best performances I've seen from a running back who
had such a hard season. Like I look at Chase
Brown going into next year. We don't need the debate
or question anything about his game. We don't need to
question his situation. There was even folks in the fantasy
streets whispering firm Madre p Ron, get out of here
with that. My guy's like forty years old.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Man.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
We got Chase Brown. He is the youth of that backfield,
and I'm looking forward to drafting him accordingly, where I
would say in the second round feels very comfortable for
Chase Brown was a full workload.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
You just need Joe Burrow to stay healthy because Jake
Browning was the problem right when Jake Browning was in there.
It was an issue when Joe Flacco came and took over,
and then it became good again. So you just need
for Joe Burrow to stay upright, which given his history,
is sort of a fifty to fifty proposition. We'll see
how this goes.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Is he going to be there next year though, Marcus
Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow is going to be there next year, Like,
let's not even open that day.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
It's not the NBA. This is not the where your
star gets disgruntled and then you trade him for like salary,
cap space and a whole bunch of picks. The NFL,
they do not trade E league quarterbacks in their prime
that are under contract. He's going to be in Cincinnati
next year. You will see video of him crossing the
street on the crosswalk to get to the practice field,
like it's going to happen, because that's just how things

(06:17):
go in Cincinnati, Florida. Your playoff MVP.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Look, Jase Brown did help me win a league. Another
player who helped me win a league, Rock Party. Look,
he literally matched his jersey number in touchdowns in the
Fantasy playoffs. He the first week was easy, right, he
gave you twenty six just three touchdowns. That was just
him warming up, though, because then the next week it
was thirty one Fantasy points and five touchdowns. And then

(06:46):
he was like, you know what, I'm gonna do you
one better. I'm gonna still get you five touchdowns. Two
of them are going to be on the ground. I'm
gonna go full Josh Allen mode on one of my
passing touchdowns, which was maybe the best play I've ever
seen Brock Purdy make. And then he hit the cleanest
douggie you'll ever see after it, and he scored thirty
seven Fantasy points in the championship. I know it's the

(07:10):
second most per hour handle. It's the second most a
quarterback has ever scored in the Fantasy Playoffs, behind only
Trevor Lawrence. But I will push back and say Lawrence
had his best game in Week fifteen, Brock Purdy Saint
is for the game that mattered most. So to me, Marcus,
I'm giving your your qbs some love and saying, Brock

(07:32):
party is this year's MVP.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Fantasy MVP.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Maybe, like Brock, what can you teach me how to Douggie?
You know why? Because Fantasy managers love me clean Dougie,
that bron be. No, that was clean. Mac Jones was clean.
Now Mac got some rhythms. No, no, no, no, we're
not We're not. No, no we're not We're not doing that.

(07:55):
It was it was clean. You just gotta you just
gotta accept it. That's all there is to it. It
was bro Yeah. Man, it's the Perduggie and it's just driving.
It's driving folks crazy. The per Dougie is doing it.
I hate this show. Tell you. Oh my god, you
mentioned my playoff MVP. It's Trevor Lawrence, who was fantastic

(08:18):
down the stretch and yeah, sure, maybe he didn't have
his best game in Championship week, still scored twenty three
points and I will take that all day, every day.
But back to back thirty plus point games leading up
to it, and in the last month of the season,
we saw the Prince who was promised. We saw Clemson
version of Trevor Lawrence. We saw the generational quarterback that

(08:41):
we were hoping to see from the time he was drafted.
And I said this to you. I don't know if
I said it on the air are off air, but
it just it made me think of what could have
been if he didn't just lose an entire rookie season
with Urban Meyer, if you didn't have to go through
multiple head coaches and play call in the first couple
of years, if he was just able to settle into

(09:03):
a system. Would we have seen this version of Trevor
Lawrence earlier. But shout out to Liam Cohen for making
it happen now. He was just amazing down the stretch,
you know. And look we went in the season he
was he was Team mid right, we had the middle
meter for a good chunk of the season. But you know,
give the dude his flowers, man, because he was great,

(09:23):
especially when you needed him in the fantasy postseason. And
now I'm very curious, not for this show, but for
future shows where his ADP is going to be next year.
How we are feeling about Trevor Lawrence. You know, was
he a product of the last month. Is there something there?
I think that's going to be a really interesting conversation
to have as we get into the spring in the summer.
Oh so, if we're gonna do the most valuable player,

(09:45):
we have to do the least valuable player, the guy
that was just a boat anchor on your roster for
the last three or four weeks, Lakwan, who was that
to you?

Speaker 4 (09:54):
So to me man, just looking at other rosters, hearing
other stories, other fantasy rosters that got bounced out of
the first round, the second round, or lost the championship
with Bucky Irvin, and I understand this because again, the
hype was real in the summer. The hype was all
about Bucky Irvin, Like, we need to get this guy
in the first round. He needs to be acquired early.
He's an RB nine in the draft. I get it.

(10:15):
But in the three weeks that you absolutely needed him,
my guy put up less than eight points in three
straight games. So you got knocked out in the first round,
got knocked out in the second round if you ended
up making there, and he sure didn't help you win
a championship. He only has two games over four point
zero yards per carry. My biggest questions in the summer
qub if we have the tweet I was questioning my

(10:37):
guys workload, I was questioning the old line. I said,
I had nineteen running backs I'd rather have. I hate
that Joe Mixon's on this list because he did not play,
but I said I would rather have nineteen running backs.
Didn't have him Bucky Irvin going off the board at
RB nine because the simple fact, once we saw him
get a full workload, that's when we saw him out.

(11:00):
We saw him battle multiple injuries. We already knew there
was questions around. There's no line dealing with injuries and
missing pieces. So I will say this, this is a
victory lap. I'm gonna take it. Where I'm from, they
don't give you flowers.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
I gotta take them.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
They only give you flowers when you're gone. So I'm
gonna take this victory lap and still have those same
questions about Bucky Irvin going into the next season because
if that old line is not fixed through the draft,
through off off season moves, I am not touching Bucky
Irvin at all, even though he had an amazing start.
Only look I would say this, I am appreciative that
he gave us RB two numbers throughout the season, but

(11:34):
it has been a roller coaster trying to roster a
guy that you probably took way too high.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yeah, I don't know. I still like Bucky Irving. I
hear everything you're saying. I do. I hear everything you're saying.
I still like Bucky Irving and like I especially if
he's getting drafted as an RB two. I'll take that
all day, like that's where we should have But he
was maybe he wasn't, but he was an RB one
before he got hurt, and then he spend it, you know,
extended time out, and then it just I don't know.

(12:01):
I felt like it wasn't the same the whole Bucks
offense collapse in the second half of the season. It
wasn't just him.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
That sweet was the only place we saw Joe Mixon
all year.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
But look, I mean, he's not wrong.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
He is not he's been he's been missing since. We
haven't even seen a picture of him.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Yeah, it's like, can we get a wellness.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Check, Florida?

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Who's your LVP for the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (12:30):
I think it's a pretty clear.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
One in this year's playoffs, because if you have Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
You undoubtedly one hundred started him right.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
It's not even like some of these other players where
they were kind of struggling and you were like, maybe
I could get away like he did. I'll give him credit.
He had twenty three Fantasy points against the Denver Broncos
in Week fifteen. Then you see the Chicago Bears on
the schedule, and I know he was up in the
air and people were like, maybe it just sit so
we could get Emmanuel Wilson in here. Nope, he was like,

(13:02):
I am playing in a great matchup against the Bears.
So fantasy manager started him, right. If Josh Jacobs plays.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
You started him.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
He scored four point eight Fantasy points and if you
somehow manage that, then you were like, all right, well
he's playing in the championship week.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
I'm throwing him out there.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
And I know people started him because in the one
of the two leagues that I won, the only reason
I won because my team did not put up numbers,
was because my opponent had Josh Jacobs. And literally, going
into that Saturday night game, my opponent because I had
Jared Goff and Jamison Williams, who were awful, he was
like a seventy five percent chance of winning.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Josh Jacobs gave him point.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Eight and a half PPR, and I left that night
as the favorite and I ended up winning. And even
in PPR, he gave you three yards of one point
three Fantasy points for a guy that was supposed to
be your RB one for someone that I know you started,
because if he's again, if.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
He's playing, you're playing him. Was he was.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
I know he's not hell, but any team that had
Josh Jacobs, if you somehow won a championship, good luck.
I tweeted out yesterday like the players that cost everyone
a title, and I was getting responses like, oh I
won with this person still on my tea, not a
single person was like I won with Josh Jacobs. So
I know he's unhealthy, but I do think he costs

(14:19):
more people championships than.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Anyone because he was so good. He was one of
those guys where it was hard to sit him because
you knew what the ceiling was, except he was nowhere
near that ceiling and the floor just fell out from
underneath you in the end. Mike Tyler Warren, who even
before Philip Rivers came and took over Tyler Warren was
already starting to slump. We saw that before Daniel Jones
got hurt, that he was starting to fall back a

(14:43):
little bit. But for whatever reason, we believe that somehow
he would be okay with Philip Rivers.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Right.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
We watched that first game for the Rivers against the Seahawks,
who couldn't push the ball down on field, and we're thinking, okay, well,
at the tight end, he's been getting a ton of
targets all year long, he's running shorter routes, this should
work out. It didn't. They just could not connect for
whatever reason. Even when he was targeted, they just could
not find a way to get the ball to Warren.

(15:10):
When they did, it was all really short yardage. I mean,
he was catching the ball with the line of scrimmage
line on the screen. It just was bad. I still
believe there's hope for Tyler Warren. I think he can
bounce back next year. That he's too big a part
of what the Colts want to do offensively. But man,
if you were tied to him down the stretch, you
sort of fell out of contention kind of like the

(15:31):
Colts did, and you definitely did not win a fantasy
championship because Tyler Warren just just pulled a disappearing act
on you at the worst possible moment in your fantasy season.
So we are not disappearing. We're sticking around for a
little bit longer, but we are going to take a
quick break, come back and look into these Saturday games
because there are still some games happening, So we got
to catch up on that and a whole lot more

(15:52):
coming up, some more fantasy awards and the like here
on the NFL Fantasy Football Show, taking a look at
the huge Saturday night matchup between the Seahawks and the
forty nine ers. Here are the first to score a
touchdown odds in that game. Christian McCaffrey very little surprised
at the top of the list, followed by a trio
of Seahawks Jackson Smith and Jigmazax, Charmonay and Kenneth Walker

(16:15):
the third, and got George Kittle rounding out the top five. Lakwan,
anybody there you particularly like got to score the first touchdown?

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Where's Juwan Jennings? I mean, like he's been able to
find the end zone? Like I'm just really curious of
where the wide receivers are but I guess, you know,
hopefully you guys put up a good fight because you know,
I'm rooting for the Seahawks in this game, obviously, right
are you?

Speaker 1 (16:39):
That's not what you said in the text chat this morning.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Don't worry about what I said in the text chat,
but I'm saying it now. I hope the Seahawks win.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
True, whatever, there's still the five seed anyway, Florida will
looking at this game, particularly Sam Darnold, who struggled down
the stretch. Would you throw him in a lineup if
you're playing DFS, would you throw him in line up
against a Niner defense that just cannot get pressure on anybody? Yes?

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Because of that, right, Like, if you give Sam Darnold time,
that's when he's at his best. And even more than
that one, those jerseys in this video are clean. Also,
they made Philip Rivers look good for a stretch. They
made Kate like Caleb was awesome up until that final
throw where he had a dude open too, Like on
that place specifically, I was sitting there like, all right,

(17:29):
you're giving him twelve seconds. He's gonna find someone, right,
And like that was just one play. It was all
night like that and as much as you guys struggle
to get after the quarterback, your secondary it's better than
your pass rush. But it's not like it's like the
Legion of Boom out there or whatever, so they could
be had as well.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, I mean, I think part of the reason the
secondary struggles is because past rush can't get there right in.
The quarterback has all day to stand around. You just
can't cover that long. But I think that's absolutely true.
On top of that pass rush though LaQuan it's a
front for the it just does not really stop the
run particularly well. Althose weird because while Philip Rivers was
carving them up in the first half, Jonathan Taylor kept

(18:07):
running into brick walls all over and over again. That
being said, if you're looking at the Seattle running backs,
Kenneth Walker or Zach Sharbonay, either neither or both this week.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Both, I think you could put both of them in
that lineup. Honestly, because we're looking at the Seahawks offense.
When they get in rhythm, they're able to run the ball.
They have this duo where you can see Zach Sharbonay
come in within the five yard line and sneak in
a touchdown or two. And I think this is going
to be a game that the Seahawks getting scoring distance
more often than not. So when they get in that
red zone, you can honestly see maybe a Kenneth Walker

(18:41):
coming out. I mean, looking at both these running backs,
I think they're going to have very good games, so
where you could both rely on both of them in
DFS lineups.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
I'm very curious about the next year too, like how
we value them, because as long as they're both there
and they're both being used the same way, Like I
think the Kenneth Walker excitement is going to fade. But
also nobody's excited about Zach Sharpie, so let's just like
throw the whole backfield away kind of situation.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
They need to rebuild that O line more than anything.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Yeah, that's that's part of it too, for sure.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Or just give Kenneth Walker the ball, that's it.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
I mean you would think so. But you know there's
all this shadow, I mean, like why he's being on
Zach Sharper and there's all this shatter coming out of
Seattle about how he was coming for Kenneth Walker's job
and they were so frustrated with him, and for like
a week. It seemed like a thing, and then all
of a sudden, Kenneth Walker rips off like a thirty
yard run as he I was like, oh, yeah, that's
why we have explosive.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Kenneth Walker, as much as I like him, is one
of those running backs whose stats make him look a
lot like he'll be one yard, one yard, one yard,
one yard, thirty yards and it's like, oh, is that
that he's really good? And it's like coaches hate those
backs that don't just move the chains.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
I mean, yeah, it's it's it's an epidemic, right. I
think it's gonna be interesting. Yeah. I think we need
to break him down kind of on a carry by
carry basis, not even a game by game, just like
a snap by snap basis for Kenneth Walker to evaluate him.
Any worries about Juwan Jennings. Lawan mentioned him just a
little bit ago going against that Seattle secondary that's been
tough on people this year.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
If you're playing Week eighteen, which shouldn't be, you probably
got to start him. But if you're like in DFS,
I would avoid him. I have look, Dawan Jennings helped
me in that league that came down to the final
play on Monday night.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Win that league.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
But having him, it's been super touchdown reliant because you
look at his game log, like he had two catches
the other night, and he since week three he has
topped fifty five yards just twice. Most weeks he's in
the thirties or forties. But he scored a touchdown in
I think it's eight of his last nine games, like like,

(20:42):
so that helps you and it makes the floor a
little bit safer. But he's facing the team that doesn't
really allow a whole lot of scores to receivers. So
the thing is, like the upside is there because of
he is brock Perdi's go to guy in the red zone,
but if he doesn't catch a touchdown, the floor is
pretty low.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
The ohther part is Rick Piersoll, now that he's back
and healthy, is starting to get some more opportunities in
that offense. And even without George Kittle, we saw a
lot of Jake Tanjis last week against the Bears, sot
a lot of competition.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Are you guys playing Kittle this week or you you
holding him?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
I'm I mean in real life? Are in fantasy? Oh? No?

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Real life? Like the forty nine I.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Believe they want him to play. I know they were
trying to get him ready for last week and obviously
it didn't happen. I think they are trying to get
it just because it means a lot, you know, so
I think they would try to get him ready to play.
It's time to see who will deliver. Presented by Uber Eat.
For those of you still playing some daily fantasy, figured
we each put together a team based on the Sunday

(21:44):
slate of games. You know, there's a two games on Saturday,
everything else. The other fourteen games on the schedule play
on Sunday, So we figured we put something together for you.
So La Kwan put up your roster and you can
sort of walk us through what you were thinking for
this one.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Well, here's the roster. I want to highlight two key
players here, man, They're they're Jaguarsh players, right, Jacoby Myers
and Trevor Lawrence. I want these guys leading my way
all the way to a solid DFS lineup where I
can kind of play and take some risks with other players.
Where Trevor Lawrence has been on a hot streak. We've
already known this, but I think the reason why he's
been on this hot streak is because of the addition

(22:21):
to Jacoby Myers having such a reliable target. Trevor Lawrence
can just outscore most of these quarterbacks that you put
up there as a Josh Allens and everything else, because
since Week ten he's been the QB one in fantasy.
So I think you go to his most reliable wide
receiver in Jacoby Myers, and you can kind of play
around with your lineup and get some of the values
in there, like a Javonte Williams. I know he's banged up,

(22:42):
but hopefully he plays. And then Nico Collins, where he
could be in debate as one of the top tier
wide receivers this week with CJ. Stroud his up and
down roller coaster. But I do believe that this is
an offense that you know is going to be predicated
on getting Nico Collins the ball Nick Keyley. But anyway,
looking at all these the players, man Dallas Goddard, Michael Carter,

(23:02):
the Denver Broncos defense man, these are all home run
smash for me. And I know Michael carterire kind of
side on him because he hasn't delivered in fantasy. But
this may be the week against my Rams.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
No worries about Dallas Goddard and the Eagles tim like
shutting down their starters.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
At this point, I think Dallas Godders should still be
on the field. I think he should still be out
there getting the rest because he's been banked up this season,
so it's not like he's earned his rest. But they're
still going to go out there and at least try
to win these games and stack these wins. So I
think Dallas Gotter is still required on the field.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Grant Calcaterras season coming just throwing it, I really don't, Honestly,
I don't. I don't have a strong feeling about it.
I just wanted to stir the pot, that's all for you.
I think look at your the FS lineup for Sunday
to that.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Point that you made, though, Marcus, like, I wanted the
crux of my lineup to be built around players that
either very much so had something to play for this
week or very much so had nothing to play for
this week, and you know they're going to be out
there because the teams that have clinched and are going
to the playoffs are the ones that you have to
worry about sitting players so like Tyler Shuck, who don't
look now he might win the offensive Rookie of the

(24:12):
Year this year, and I got his wide receiver one there,
Chris o'lave. That is the biggest game in the NFC
South this weekend, and it's not the two teams that
are playing for the division. It is wild that it
comes down to this, but I think those two have
been so hot as of late, I expect it to continue.
So that's how I started with Tyler Shuck, and I
was like, Okay, I'm getting Chris Olave in there as well.

(24:35):
But then that allowed me to get two very high
priced running backs in Bijon and Devon hn In. It
allowed me to get Parker Washington, who has been really hot.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
And then my thinking was Josh Downs.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
If it is going to be Riley Leonard, we probably
see him rely on the slot option underneath a good amount.
Romeo Dobbs. I know both their quarterbacks are up in
the air. I'm kind of hoping it's Malik Willis because
he has been Dobbs has been his go to guy.
And then Michael Mayer is so underpriced because with Brock
Bauers out, we saw last week they are going to

(25:10):
go to him often and he is still priced as
if brock Bauers is out there, which allows you to
then get those high paid running backs in Bijon and
a chance. So the first four names are who I
started my team with and then kind of filled in
the rest after that. But I wanted the two stud
running backs and this was the way to ensure that
I got them in my lineup.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I just think it's interesting because everybody sort of approaches
it differently, like where do you want to spend up?
Where do you want to sort of find some values,
you know, do you go kind of a studs and
scrubs sort of mentality, or do you try to balance
things out. I kind of went, I guess more of
a balanced lineup with mine. I did know that I
wanted some stacks. There were players that I absolutely wanted.

(25:51):
You can see that I ended up going a triple
stack with Patriots. But you know, I liked Kien Williams
and the matchup that they have this week against the
Arizona Card, especially after Blake Korum got banged up and
I don't know what his status is just yet, but
I think we see a lot of Kiron Williams, especially
early Tyrone Tracy Wandale Robinson in their matchup at the
end of the season. I like their their opportunities coming up.

(26:15):
You know, I don't know that I trust CJ. Stroud.
I trust Nico Collins though, so that was worth spinning
up a little bit on I do like Parker Washington
kind of for the reasons Lakwan talked about with the
Jaguars offense. If it's not going to be Jacoby Myers,
Parker Washington's the next guy. I put the Browns defense
because these Steelers went out of their way to make
sure Miles Garrett didn't get the sack record, even to
the point that it cost them the game. I even

(26:35):
love Miles Garrett saying they were more interested in preventing
me from getting the sacks than they weren't actually winning.
Like I thought that was very funny because it looks
sort of obvious. But that triple stack with Drake may
Hunter and Remindre Stevenson, because yes, Travon Henderson's going to
get his, but we saw last week with Travion available,
there were still a lot of Remandre. Now granted it

(26:55):
was the Jets. Who have you been in can kun
mentally probably since Halloween, hey yo. But either way, Ramantre
is still getting touches. As much as we love Trevon,
the Patriots aren't going to quit him, and so to
get him in as a flex doing he can catch
the football, he can run it, Drake May. The Patriots
still playing potentially for a one seed or at least

(27:17):
it's just you know, get themselves some work. I like
the opportunity coming up this week against against Miami. So yeah,
so that was kind of how I built that whole
line up there for daily So anyway, so some suggestions
for all of you out there who you want to
put a lineup or two together heading into the weekend.
That was Who Will Deliver, presented by Uber Eats, where

(27:38):
you can get the best deals on game day food
all season long, the official on demand delivery partner of
the NFL.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Order.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Now time for a break, but when we come back,
we'll give you our fantasy awards for the year time
and to dive into some of our postseason fantasy football awards.
I got a treeoverhim right here, starting with the waiver
Wire Pickup of the Year, that guy that you grabbed
maybe in the first couple of weeks, maybe midseason depending

(28:06):
on how things went, that carried you as far as
they possibly could, maybe farther than you expected. LaQuan who
was the free agents that did the most? You think
this year?

Speaker 4 (28:17):
This was a mid season pickup for me because there
was somebody I'd actually like stashed in those deeper leagues
where I just was like, let me throw a flyer
on Parker Washington. But I picked him back up in
the mid season. Did you guys know since Week seven
he has only had four games less than seventeen Fantasy points.
He is on a hot streak right now with Trevor
Lawrence right now with back to back one hundred yard games.

(28:37):
He is playing out of that slot and he can
also play out wide. The versatility on this Jags offense
is a shout out to Liam kohen Man because having
Jacobe Myers and Parker Washington, these are reliable hands that
Trevor Lawrence is working with. In Parker Washington me he
is going to be one of those league winners if
you have a Week eighteen championship, which I think you
should not be playing in. But Parker Washington has gone

(29:00):
over expectations where this guy put up one hundred yards
against the Denver Broncos. Folks, I was talking about freaking
Parker Washington in the summertime, saying he should be a
late round Jim you could fact check me on that
at Real Deal Fantasy and went Twitter. By the way,
So listen, man, Parker Washington. He has to get this
award for waiver wire Pickup of the Year because he's
definitely won. Some folks in championships are going to there's.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
A lot of Parker Washington talk on this show. I
was not anticipating this much Parker Washington talk, but uh,
you know here we are, Oh, Florya, your waiver pickup
of the Year?

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah, to me, it was between two players and they
both are on the same team. It was Jacoby Brissett
and Michael Wilson because those two took over in the
second half, and I went with Michael Wilson because did
you like, don't look right now, he is the wide
receiver sixteen in total points on the season. He has
more points than Cdee Lamb, Jalen Waddle, DeVonta Smith, T Higgins,

(29:55):
Drake London. Guys that you were building your teams around
Michael Wilson was not. No one considered drafting him, and
if they did, he was quickly thrown back on the
waiver wire because the first literally first ten weeks of
the season he did not score double digit Fantasy points.
But then you pick him up and from week eleven
on he was an absolute wide receiver, one who not

(30:18):
only put up numbers, who put up week altering numbers
like have. I know a lot of people who were
fighting for their playoff lives and Michael Wilson single handedly
changed their season and helped get them into the playoffs.
And then I'm a big believer that what you like
the end of the season matters more than early in
the year.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
And he went, he.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Scored a touchdown in every game in the fantasy playoffs,
he went for sixteen, thirteen, and twenty Fantasy points and
championship week then, so he did it when it mattered
most and he helped you get there, and then he
finished the job. So for me, I'm giving all the
love to Michael Wilson.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
I'm just saying I wasn't wrong on Michael Wilson. I
was just early, that's all. I'd liked it. I drafted
it took a couple of years, but now it's finally
finally happening. Remember, to pick up of the year was
Harold fannin just because he showed out at a position
that was really thin, right, I mean, you know, Trey
McBride was awesome. You look at the rest of the
tight ends across the board and the list of top

(31:18):
five tight ends, it's not a group of guys that
you're like, oh, yeah, this dude was really a top
five player at his position all year long. It's just
that everybody else just had major issues along the way, right,
Kyle Piss, Yeah, he got hot at the end of
the year. The early part of the year wasn't really
anything special. Travis Kelce looked like a shadow of himself.
Jake Ferguson started hot and then was on a milk
cart and for the back half of the season. And

(31:39):
you know fann And yes, he was a guy that
came on sort of mid to late in the year,
but he gave you something. Again, if you were a
person that was streaming or you had another guy that
just sort of let you down, Harold Fanning, he held
you in check. He held you down for the last
half of the season. So for that that to me
makes him the waiver wire pickup of the year. That's

(32:00):
a good thing. The Fantasy bust of the year not
a good thing. Luquan who who was the biggest disappointment
to you this season?

Speaker 4 (32:09):
This feels like a victory lab show for me, man,
because I'm just gonna sit here in Grinnin when I
say the Ladd McConkey, because we were all debating this
summer what he was. Is he a wide receiver one?
Is he worth to be your first wide receiver off
the board? No, he was not. Ladd has not shown
up in a long time. What happened in the Fantasy playoffs.

(32:30):
He's let you down. And I don't even think folks
who made it to the Fantasy Playoffs even had Lad
mcconkeye on their roster. My boy finished as wide receiver
thirty six. We're looking at Greg Roman's offense where he's
never had a wide receiver crack inside the top fifteen.
So this whole mirage, this whole Fantasy street hype scene
for Lad McConkie. I'm just gonna sit here and take
my flowers again, fellas I know, just say it.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
I was right, say, guys waiting, you're really happy over
someone's failure.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
We all could have just made guys that we talked
about of this summer.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
I was I was banging the table for this because
I'm like, you guys are gonna get set up. You
guys are gonna get set up. The fantasy streets are talking.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
He was the wide receiver twenty six in total points.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Though you're shooting for hater of the year boom You've
drafted in the second round boom bo the biggest PU year.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Yes he is.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
He was the biggest hype of the year.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
I don't know about that either, nocause this.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Player, this player went ahead of him in drafts and
finished eighteen spots behind him, like lad McConkie had a
stretch in the middle of the year where he was
winning people leagues like he he was a wide receiver
one for like a six week stretch. I know it
didn't live up to what you paid the price for him,
But you know who is never a wide receiver one
at any point this season Brian Thomas Junior, And you

(33:49):
paid a wide receiver one price for him. He has
two games this year with over twelve fantasy points. He
cracked twenty fantasy points once and he was a first
round pick. If he did it go on the first round,
he was going to the top two or three picks
in the second round.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
I had him on no teams.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
I was very adamantly like, not really in on Brian
Thomas Junior. But at no point, even when he goes
on IR in the middle of the year, comes back, Nope,
you can't use him then. Like he had one game
where they threw him four go roundes and he caught
a touchdown and scored seventeen Fantasy points. Outside of that game,
in the final thirteen weeks, he was not usable at all.

(34:29):
So I do think Brian Thomas Junior crushed Fantasy teams
more than anyone.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Can I say something a little pick behind the curtain,
you got to the dock before me, because that's exactly
who I was gonna put Brian Thomas year, Because I
gotta be honest, I was in Look, we were on
the same page this pod with Brian Thomas Junior and
questioning his production because we only seen him hit that
nineteen Fantasy points per game with Matt Jones. I was
already on the campaign of T mid but I would

(34:55):
say this, you got to the doc before me. But
I will agree this was the biggest bus.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Of the year. See, the biggest bus of the year
was mine because I got to the doc first, because look,
if I didn't have it, somebody else is going to
have it right Justin Jefferson, And look, it's not his fault.
It was not his fault. The quarterback situation was an
absolute disaster, whether it was JJ McCarthy Carson Wentz. I

(35:19):
mean he was actually better with Carson Wentz, but he
still wasn't great. And I guess the most frustrating part
was they were trying to get him the ball right.
He wasn't like those down AJ Brown weeks where they
just weren't even throwing it in his direction. They were
trying to get the ball to Justin Jefferson. And for
whatever reason, JJ McCarthy could hit every other pass catcher
in the offense, but he couldn't get the ball to Jefferson.

(35:40):
I don't understand it. It's the most head scratching thing.
I think he rebounds next year just because if you
are Kevin O'Connell and the Vikings, job number one is
to figure out your quarterback situation. Job number one A
is to figure out how to get eighteen involved again.
So yeah, I mean, this is the guy that you
were drafting in the early part of the first round,
maybe even number one overall, and he did not live

(36:04):
up to that by any stretch. But again not his fault,
and I think the Vikings go out of their way
to try to fix that in the off season. Quickly,
Fantasy Surprise of the Year Lakwan. Who surprised you this season?

Speaker 4 (36:16):
Ricco'daudo. I mean he was a backup running back. I
think we kind of took him for granted in a
sense of where we kind of ignored his production when
he was a cowboy, So I would say it was
a surprise and the fact that he was undrafted, Like,
I don't know anybody that left draft day with Rico Dado.
I think a lot of people were on the Chewba
hubber bus based on the production that he left us
with last season, because true, ho was a high end

(36:37):
RB two at times, but Rico coming in setting rerecords,
putting up two hundred yards over scrimmage, Like, this guy
was just hitting the ground running. Once you grabbed them
off the waiver want and started putting them into the
starting lineups, like, I'm kind of going to ignore the
back end of the season where the Panthers run game
completely fell off off a cliff. But Rico won me
some weeks man when he came in as my flex.
So it's like one of those things where like, hey,

(36:59):
Rico bald out and I appreciate all of the services
he gave to my fantasy rosters.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
All right, Florida, who you got Kenneth Gainwell? Who was
not even the Steelers RB two that we were drafting
this summer, That was Caleb Johnson. All Kenneth Gamewell has
done he had nine right now currently has nine hundred
and forty nine yards. He had never had five hundred
and fifty scrimmage yards in a season prior to this.

(37:25):
He has seven touchdowns this year. That is his last
three year touchdown total combined. Like, this was a guy
who was a complete afterthought in Philly, especially last year,
Like barely even saw the field with Saquon doing everything
that he was doing. This is a guy who like
he has never had two hundred receiving yards in a season,

(37:46):
he has never ran for four hundred yards in a season,
and he became super fantasy relevant down the stretch to
the point where, like I wrote him up as a
start in Championship Week with the biggest game on the line.
And so I think Kenneth Gainwell came out of nowhere
and really made a nice name for himself in fantasy.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
I'm gonna go George Pickens, who when he came over
from Pittsburgh to Dallas, I thought it was just going
to kind of be a lateral move and that he
would be the same George Pickens that he always was,
which is not bad. I mean, a solid wide receiver too,
but I kind of figured, Okay, he would get fewer targets,
but they'd be more quality targets and everything would even out. Now,
some of this had to do with Cede Lamb being hurt,
some of it just had to do with he just

(38:26):
found himself in a good offense with a quality quarterback
and that was committed to throwing the football consistently. And
the fact that we got to the end of the
fantasy season and George Pickens was a top five wide receiver.
I don't think anybody saw that coming. And so if
you spent kind of a mid round pick on him,
you were feeling great because then ideally, if your first

(38:47):
wide receiver lived up to expectations, you had two wide
receiver ones on your roster. So shout out to George
Pickens for finding himself a home and minimizing the crashouts.
Because you know there are two wolves that live inside
of George Pickens, you never know which one going to
show up on any given week. The chaos wolf, for
the most part, was kept in check. So shout out
to him for that. This year. I know it's not

(39:08):
in a lot of news this time of year, but
I did want to get into some fantasy headlines just
briefly as we kind of dive it into a couple
of things that it's kind of spinning forward to next year.
People behind the curtain. I just go to NFL dot
com slash News. I pull the headline from what I
think is important that we want to talk about. This
is not a shot at anybody on this show. I swear,
I promise, I promise it was not. It was not.

(39:30):
I seriously, Jean Robinson had a great game on Monday.
I mean, the fact that it's going to tweak Lakwan
doesn't hurt, but that was not the initial intempt. That's
not the point love this, I mean, yeah, yeah, Jean
had that great game on Monday night against the Rams.
Raheem Morris reminded us at halftime that he thinks Bijon

(39:52):
is the best player in all of the NFL. So, Flora,
I will ask you this, does this mean that Bejon Robinson?
Is he the understry number one pick in Fantasy next year?

Speaker 2 (40:02):
I think he should be the one dot one, But
I do think he has competition. Look, there's always gonna
be people out there who like to take wide receivers,
and I think Pooka Nakua is very much so. In
that one oh one conversation, I also think the other
running back that Bijon will always be tied to Ejamier Gibbs.
The off season is gonna decide it, right because Tyler

(40:23):
ELL's year is a free agent. As long as he's
not back, maybe we get more touchdowns for Bijon. But
do the Lions go out and repair that O line,
which the interior was complete nightmare for them down the stretch.
Uh So that'll kind of dictate it a little bit.
But I do think to me that those two and
Pooka I think should all be the first three, and
that is the.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
Competition for one dot oh one.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, I mean I think that's I think that's accurate.
It's gonna be a fun conversation. And I do like
that it seems like they are multiple names, because I
don't love it when we just settle on a name
in like February and then that's the guy. Then that
that conversation kind of stinks.

Speaker 4 (40:59):
I think we need forgetting one person. I mean, it's
probably my biggest miss this season. It's probably Christian McCaffrey
because I forgot he's made in the lab. So I
really think that next year he's gonna be in conversation
again in one on one.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
I mean, he was in the conversation. I don't I
wouldn't spend the number one pick on McCaffrey. I love him,
think he's great.

Speaker 4 (41:17):
You know how the fantasy streets work out.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
He's a future Hall of Famer, and I think he
should be in the conversation for MVP this year, But
I don't think he's the number one pick next year.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Someone asked me, and I was like, he's got four
hundred touches already and that's not including the next week plus, so.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
He might be at five hundred touches come the end
of the year.

Speaker 4 (41:35):
Now just a week, just two weeks, don't put them
further into No.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Now, when they get the one seed and they have
a week off, that's it. That's that's all. There is
time for a break. But will we come back? Will
give you our way too early. Mock draft for twenty
twenty six the list of modern era players who were
finalists for the Hall of Fame class but twenty twenty
six were announced. Fifteen players overall are in this grip.

(42:00):
There are several names that are on the offensive side
that I would like to figure out. Who's a Fantasy
Hall of Famer? Right? So I listed these names from
what I think is the least controversial Fantasy Hall of
Famer to most controversial. Right, So just a quick yes
or no, guys. Larry Fitzgerald Fantasy Hall of Famer. Yes, yes, yes,

(42:21):
Drew Brees, Yes, yes, you got to hesitate? What Fantasy
Hall of Famer?

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Yes, Drew Brees is one of the best to ever
do it for fantasy Relax, I said, yes, you hesitated,
it was just weird.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
Tory Holt No, absolutely, real life and in fantasy two
thousand and three season.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
There goes to clip there it is.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
That's a season. I think he's definitely a fantasy Hall
of Famer. Would I wouldn't be upset with him in
the real Hall of Fame, but fantasy for sure. Oh usually, well,
you were just you were just poking the bear. I
get it, My bad, I miss that. Reggie Wayne as
a Fantasy Hall of Famer, I think yes.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
I think so.

Speaker 4 (43:05):
I will say this. I know he is a great player,
but I was not playing fantasy when he was active
in the league, so I can't honestly say he's done anything.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
So sure, Okay, that's fair. Eli Manning as a Fantasy
Hall of Famer. Nope, no, no, Yeah, I don't think
so either.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
He was never taken top five quarterback, like.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
He was kind of a mid fantasy quarterback. Yeah, no,
I think that's a note. Jason Witten as a Fantasy
Hall of Famer, I think undoubtedly.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
I think so.

Speaker 4 (43:38):
I think so because he was always like a top
three tight end off the board. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
I mean, I guess, if I really think about it,
I guess I go back. I guess I'm so clouded
by the end of his career where he just caught
the ball and fell down. I'm like, what, But then
I guess if you just if you look at his prime,
then yeah, I guess we can make a strong case.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
It's always how is he open? How is he always open?

Speaker 1 (43:58):
And it's because they had Michael Irvin and like Alvin
Harper and these guys on the outside.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
That's how even at the end of his run where
he was just falling down, he was still a tight
end one like it wasn't to watch.

Speaker 1 (44:12):
Also, I mean, let me rephrase, it was not Michael Irvin.
It was like Dez Bryant in those guys.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
So, yeah, that's who it was him and Dez.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
Moren, Dez Moreen Dez Yeah. So let me let me
get that straight. Frank Gore is a fantasy Hall of Famer.
I'm gonna say no. As a fan, I think he's
a real Hall of Famer. But I don't think he's
a fantasy Hall of Famer. He's a flex Hall of
Famer because I kind of remember him. Man, I don't
think so. No.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
I think he's getting Jason Witten here.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
I think the end of his run is is he
was like an RB one for a while.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
I guess. I mean, I think he's a real life
Hall of Famer just because of the longevity of his career,
like after running back position, because you just don't see
that anymore. Or I'm looking. Yeah, maybe he's a fantasy.
He's a borderline fantasy Hall of Famer.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
If any running back Copolla, Philip Rivers, it's Frank Gore.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure
this person listen is Frank Gore Junior is actually just
Frank Gore.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
But you know they look identical, just much smaller.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
Adam vinit Arry and I put it in there because
people want to get rid of kickers, but Adam vinit
Terry was money.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Get him out of here. I don't want kickers in
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (45:34):
We already have them. They exist in real life. Why
can't they be in the Hall of Faame. I don't
want them like we have Hall of Fame kickers.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Is there any kicker in the real life Hall of Fame?

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Yes, Morten Anderson, Jon Stineroo, George Blanda lou Groza. There's
a handful of kickers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Like Morten Anderson was money, for decades.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Is any kicker active or in the last few years
going to make the Hall of Fame?

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Probably not. Nitarry should make the real life Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Justin Tucker will make the Hall of Fame, should he?
I'm not talking about what he did off the field,
but if we're talking just on the field accomplishments, Yes,
Justin Tucker is a Hall of Famer.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
Brandon Aubrey might be one if he keeps this up.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
I mean, Brandon Aubrey could be by the time it's
all said and done.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
Greg the leg Greg zurryline.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
Put him in there. His run was too short.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
I do think Minitari in real life, real life should
make it.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
He's getting in in real life. I think he's a
fantasy Hall of Famer two. I'm just saying anyway. I
wanted to do a mock draft quickly for twenty twenty six,
well through twelve teams, so that means we used to
get four picks. I was gonna come up with a
random order, but I'm too lazy to do that. So lakwan,
you get the number one pick and we'll kind of

(46:53):
go around the horn from there all the way to
number twelve. So who's number one for you?

Speaker 3 (46:56):
Pook In Nikola.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
I'm gonna go Pooking the cool because he was my
number one pick summer.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
So let's go all right, Uh Floria, who's at number two?

Speaker 2 (47:03):
I'll go bij On then. I don't think there's a
wrong answer at one. But if I can get bije On,
I'm loving.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
It all right. Then that gives me a nice Jremior
Gibbs at three, I will do that all day long,
all right, so I would we're not doing a regular snake.
We're just gonna go back around the horn. So look
on you get number four.

Speaker 4 (47:22):
Give me the whiner, give me see him. See he's
made in the lab. I've already spoken about it. He
could be considered one on one.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
Why you gotta sound so upset about it.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
Like because I don't like rostering. I almost want a
championship with rock Turty first of all. And you guys
know how painful that was putting in the starting lineup.

Speaker 1 (47:37):
But go ahead. I mean, you don't have to do
this too. You can make fantasy fun and not have
to do this to yourself, like you you don't have
to be so mean to yourself, like make make your
life enjoyable. This is why you're crashing out all the time,
because you make you put yourself in positions to crash out. Like,
stop doing that, all right, Florida. Who's number five?

Speaker 2 (47:56):
For Remember this time a year ago where Marcus was like,
I'm not drafting Saquon.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
That's me with Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
Look, he was awesome. I'm not drafting him.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Next year, I though, will take Jamar Chase and pray
that Joe Burrow stays healthy because if Burrow's healthy for
a full year, Chase.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
Might be the one dot one in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Oh all right, So I got options here at this point.
You know what, I I'm gonna go Jonathan Taylor here.
There are a couple of names I like there, but
I'm gonna take Jonathan Taylor was fantastic this year. I
know he faded down the stretch, but the whole Colts
team did. But I'll take JT at six. So, Lakwan,
you're at seven. I would take a Monroe. I think

(48:37):
that the Lions bounce back, so I think a Monra
here just makes sense. All right, So he's at seven.
Who you got at eight?

Speaker 3 (48:43):
Florio the maybe opoy this year. Give me JSN.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
I mean, he's doing this right now, but damn darnold,
he's gonna have him again next year, right Like, I
trust him.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
It's almost who I took instead of Taylor at six,
so I was going back voice between the two of them.
This is where it gets sort of weird. I'm gonna
go with Devon ah Chan here at number nine. I
like it, wow, Like I feel like he was sort
of overlooked a little bit this past year, and even
with the Dolphins being terrible for much of the year,
he was still lights out. So I got him at nine.

(49:18):
So back to you looking for number ten.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
This may seem like a reach, but I'm expecting a
JSN breakout from this guy because of his second year
quarterback and Tyler Schuck. I'm taking chrys Olave here.

Speaker 1 (49:31):
That's wow, all right, He's got from the Saxul of
discontent to the number ten overall. Pick yeah, growth man,
all right, all right? So then Florida, who's at eleven
for you?

Speaker 2 (49:41):
I also love that you've come fully around on Tyler Shuck.
I'm gonna go with Ceedee Lamb here.

Speaker 1 (49:46):
I know he didn't really have the year.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
We expected, but we know he's awesome.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
George Pickens is a free agent, so yeah, Lamb is
just super safe year in a year out.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
All right, I was you know, I thought about I
thought about him at nine instead of I'm happy with
aha and I So I'm going to close out the
first round with James Cook, who when all else failed
in Buffalo. I mean that offense was pretty much James
Cook and Josh Allen. That was it. They paid James Cook.
They used him like a guy that got paid and

(50:16):
he was fantastic. So uh here there you go. That's
our that's our list, early list, way too early list
of the first round, the top twelve, particularly a few
names of No Justin Jefferson on that list, No sa
Quon on that list. You know, no Ashton genty after
the overhype from the last year, that list. As well

(50:38):
as we get ready to wrap somethings, they've still going
to have more Fantasy awards, Rookie of the Year, Lakwan,
who do you like in fantasy?

Speaker 4 (50:45):
In that one, there was a couple options, like literally
only three options that I was really thinking about. But
I think Cam Skataboo man if he stayed healthy, he
probably will win this fantasy award. I mean, he was
the RB ten and he started getting into a groove.
We saw him put up thirty one Fantasy points against
the Eagles. Like camp Scatabou healthy with Jackson Dart like,
I'm kind of roing him next year as a guy

(51:07):
that I could be targeting in those early rounds. I
think if he had this full season, we'll be talking
about camp Scataboo in a different light, maybe a top
seven running back to finish the season.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
I'm curious where he gets drafted next year, just because
he was so good. Obviously got hurt, missed a good
chunk of the season. The Giants are still going to be,
you know, not a playoff team, but I am curious
about where he goes in drafts next year. Florio, you
and I came to the same conclusion, who do you
have is your fantasy rookie of the year.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
While we're taking victory laps.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
I will take one on Cam because I was saying
he was better than Tyrone Tracy in the summer. But
I'm going with Teterero McMillan, who oddly enough might not
get the real life rookie of the year anymore.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
But I think if they win the division, it's hard
to keep him out of that. But yeah, it this
is more I think.

Speaker 5 (51:54):
An indication on this class as a whole, because like
McMillan was good, he was great, but he was the
best of all, Like like a Buka faded, Frabian had
to run Scataboo was awesome, but he got hurt.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
Like he's just the one that lasted and was the
most solid of them all. But I don't know about you, guys,
I do think this class disappointed in its first year.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
Yeah, it was not a great rookie class fantasy wise.
I had ten nicm millan too, just because he was
the most consistent out of all those guys from week
one till the end. It was never splashy. Part of
it was just the offense, part of it was the quarterback,
but just the consistency weekend and week out for McMillan
kind of made him that For me, you know, a

(52:37):
Buka had a huge start and then we just didn't
hear from him for long stretches. None of the quarterbacks
I think were consistent enough. I mean, Jackson Dark kind
of had some some spike weeks Tyler Schuck kind of
came on at the end. Cam Ward God blessed cam
Ward Man. He fought through some real stuff down there
in Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
He could play, He could play.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
No, I'm curious about his development, absolutely, but in terms
of what he gave you in fantasy just there was
just nothing there this year. So in what was kind
of a down fantasy year for rookies, Tech McMillan Terroid McMillan,
because I think neither he nor his mother particularly like that.
Terrod McMillan is the guy for me, all right. Finally,
the most valuable player in Fantasy Lakwan is Pooka Nku.

Speaker 4 (53:24):
I'm going to Poka Nakua man. I gotta say this
because I do feel like he was overlooked in the
sense of where Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, Ced Lamb, We're
all going before him in drafts. But there has been
a conversation that you can start mentioning Puka in real
life football amongst the Jamar Chases and the CD Lambs
and Justin Jefferson. Just look at this guy, bald. There's

(53:44):
not a route he can't make, There's not a catch
he cannot make. Other than what you know we saw
on Monday night. But I really think that Poka is
in that s tier of wide receivers and where in
fantasy we need to start treating him like that and
start drafting him like that as well.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
I mean, like, let's keep it a buck, right. The
reason he fell in drafts is because the starting quarterback
for the Rams were shacked up in an airstream trailer
at Loyal and Merrimount University. Like, that's why that was
what that was. If Matthew Stafford, if we knew going
into Week one that Matthew Stafford was all good and
he was playing preseason, I think Puca goes higher. Maybe

(54:21):
not above Chase or Jefferson or Seeding Land, but he
goes a lot higher. It's because your quarterback needed a
bachiotomy that we believed that we couldn't draft him because
we thought he's gonna be catchup passes from Jimmy Garoppolo
at the start of the season. Hey never that, first
of all.

Speaker 4 (54:35):
And I think there was a small pocket of the
fantasy community like saying that he was discounted because of
DeVante Adams, of what he did to Garrett Wilson and like,
I also took that into account as well, because I
thought Devanta Adams was going to come in as the
guy that's going to have more of the touchdowns, where
Puka was just gonna have a lot of catches and
have the yards where we were going to see a
balance of both of them. But I think, honestly, even

(54:56):
when DeVante Adams is there, it's been proving that Puka's
the S tier type of YE receiver that we can
have in conversation. In those first three picks.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
To be fair, though DeVante was catching all the touchdowns
and Pooka got those after Devonte got hurt.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
He's just a touchdown vulture Adams this year, Florida your
fantasy MVP.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
I know other players scored more Fantasy points than him,
but I'm looking at the word value there, right, And
no player gave you a bigger positional advantage than Trey McBride,
who scored three hundred and two Fantasy points this year.
No other tight end scored two hundred. One other tight
end scored one hundred and ninety, and that was Kyle Pitt. See,
it are over one hundred point advantage on every other

(55:43):
player at his position and on top of it. Despite
the fact that I was telling you he should have
been the tight end one all summer long. He wasn't
the first tight end drafted. People were taking brock Bowers
over him. Trey McBride was falling to the third round.
Like these other players scored more than him are all
first round picks.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
They did what they're supposed to do. Trey McBride, though,
gave you the biggest positional advantage and you got a
bit of a discount.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
Like next year, he's gonna be a second round pick,
the first tight end off the board. I wouldn't be
surprised if people start saying he should be a first
round pick. But I know he's not gonna win, Like
if we put this up to a pole or anything.
But in my opinion, I don't think any player was
more valuable than Trey McBride.

Speaker 1 (56:25):
Yeah, I'm already seeing Chad about him being a first
round pick. That's that's kind of a no fly zone.
I can't do a first first round tight end. Is
Jacoby Brissett going to be the quarterback? That's the real question.
That's why I'm hesitant on that. I don't agree with that.
Probably not. It's not it's gonna be Kyler, but it's
probably gonna be Bresett either. So it looks like the
NFC West, the sweeping ur of Fantasy MVP voting because yeah, Pooka,

(56:48):
you had Trey McBride. I got Christian McCaffrey. Because this
is a guy that early on in draft season was
falling to like the middle to late part of the
second round. And I mean, on some levels, I saw, God,
everybody's worried about the injuries. But you know this, Floya,
I know you like to say this your injury pronounce
you're not this year. He stayed healthy and then with
everybody else around him getting injured, he was getting all

(57:10):
of the touches there and he looked like the Christian
McCaffrey of old. What That's what happened, right, It's not
a news flash wow, because he stayed healthy. What do
you want me to say he's made in the lab?

Speaker 4 (57:25):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
I'm not saying all that. I'm just say he stayed healthy.
Like there's no to say, you know, Captain America sort
of thing here. He just stayed healthy. It's not the
first time in his career that he's played the majority
of the games, and it was fantastic. Though you know,
on looked for a while. I mean, I guess could
still get a thousand yards rushing and receiving. Either way.
He is the top scoring player in all of fantasy football,

(57:48):
ahead of all the quarterbacks and everybody. That to me.
For a guy that again refused, especially if you got
him in the late second round, you feel pretty great
about life. So he was my MVP. All right, last
couple of things before we get out of here. We
appreciate you guys hanging out with us. Of course, as always,
Harold fannin Watch comes to an end. Of course, for

(58:09):
those of you who maybe are uninitiated, last year, Lakwan
said John new Smith would finish as a top five
tight end. If he did, he would dye his hair blonde.
John new was a tight end four. Lakwan looked like
Cisco for a couple of days this spring. He said
that if Harold Fannin Junior finishes a top five tight end,
he would go blonde again. Now, mind you, this was
all unsolicited. We didn't pressure him into saying this. We

(58:31):
didn't force him into this, We didn't trick him into it.
He just said it up his own volition, and after
last week, even with Fannin going out early with an injury,
he finishes as the tight end five, one point three
points ahead of Dallas Goddards the kwand do you have
anything to say for yourself.

Speaker 4 (58:50):
I'm just shocked that Dallas Goddar didn't get it done.
I mean, Fannon got injured in the first quarter, like
he scored a touchdown and that was it all. Dallas
Goddard had to do a little fake toush push and
do everything they were doing before and he still scored.
But Dallas Goddard didn't get anything else out of that game.
And I'm just shocked at one point three points. Is

(59:11):
the reason why I have to dye my hair and
make this appointment.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
A four yard catch. We have done it for you.

Speaker 4 (59:19):
It's insane. Like my wife is sitting here, she's not
happy about this. She is not happy that I'm going
blonde once again. But I will wear it as a
badge of honor because it's basically me saying, hey, I
can trust my eyes. I know what I'm talking about
with the tight end position. I'm gonna do it again
next year and see what happens.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
We're gonna have a big tight end reveal next year.
You're gonna just gonna find your tight end sleeper and
we're just gonna gonna ride that all year. That's gonna
be nine February. Though. That was that was wild.

Speaker 3 (59:45):
That was wild.

Speaker 4 (59:45):
I'm not doing it.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
That was crazy again. We'll have to want to set
something up for the the dyeing of the hair. We'll
have to make it an event. We'll put her out
on social it's gonna be a whole lot of fun.
So but thanks for being a good sport, because that
was was kind of fun to play along with, especially
once we remembered it mids that's what I remember.

Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
The last he remembered the John new one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
This guy is ready to stir the pot.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
You can't blame me.

Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
You do this to yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
I'll just make sure everyone remembers what you have done.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
Hey, listen the.

Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
Listeners remember, because the Australian folks out there, they were
hitting in the dms like hey man, you gotta die
your hair again, Gloria Florio, burn it up. So they're listening.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Shout out to the folks down under for sure, for sure,
as we get ready to wrap this thing up, for
the season. You guys out there watching and listening, you
see us, you hear us. We jabber for forty five
minutes to an hour. Sometimes they run a little bit long.
But there are a whole lot more people whose faces
you never see, whose names you never hear, who actually
put this thing together and get it out to you

(01:00:50):
and make us look like not idiots. We do that
pretty well on our own, So I just want to
give a shout out to all the folks behind the
scenes who've helped us put this together all year long.
Susie Bainon, Gavin kinsel Mae Roki, Isabella Kajian, Kyle doy,
Sean Parker, Sam Tavares, Josh Morales, Christy Stapleton, Kyrie Douglas,

(01:01:10):
kwab Ajamang, who's brand new this year. We appreciate you,
Kwab HITHANM. Kalani. Both Quab and Hytham were crazy enough
to get in text chats with us, and we apologize
for that. Shout out to the Bobs Jason Kleinman and
Matt Schneider as well, who not only let us do this,
but who were gracious enough to actually give us extra
time and supersize our show. Midway through the season, so

(01:01:31):
we are super grateful for all of that as well.
And apologies to all those people that we listed early
because we made you do a whole lot of editing
for this show, but hopefully it was worth it. So
the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast, like The Avengers, will return
in the meantime. For us, though, that is it, we
are done. We appreciate you hanging out with the NFL
Fantasy Football show. You know the drill. Tell two friends

(01:01:51):
to tell two friends, rate review and remember, stop worrying
about the world ending today. Don't ready tomorrow in Australia,
be safe, take care of yourselves, have a safe and
happy New Years. Talk to you again real soon. M
