Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, everybody, It's Tuesday, May sixth, twenty twenty five. Welcome
to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast where we're Knicks fans.
That's me and your man, nam J Marcus Grant, joined
by Michael Floria who is rejoicing on this Tuesday morning,

(00:24):
and Lakwan Jones, who how do you feel? Because you
you said you're a former Celtics fan, Like, how are
you feeling right now?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah? I am a former Celtics fan, and like Gavin
can we can we pull out the picture real quick
because just to prove that was a former Celtics fan.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Who whoa whoa whoa?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Why is Easy wearing Celtics gear? What's very Easy influenced?
Because how did you know that was my favorite rapper?
Easy doesn't look my first album, I Ball for my
first car.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I didn't know that, but it's just like the whole
look and everything very influenced.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
So as a former Celtics fan, I gotta say.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Though I'm a Knicks Knicks tape baby, I don't wow.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I'm from Julia. I'm jernaling different to the Knicks. I
well know that if if the Knicks win this series,
Knicks fan is going to be uh insufferable for a while,
but as a self respecting West Coaster, Uh, it's bleeped
the Celtics all day, every day.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
So Laurio, how does it look?

Speaker 3 (01:25):
It looks great, man orange and blue.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
I'm just Also, it's also a while that we're having
to convert a guy from New Jersey to the Knicks.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Like you know what, dude, would you might hate for
the Celtics right now. How they turned their back on
it four Isaiah Thomas. So therefore I stopped watching and
supporting after that.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
So Brunson is a Jersey guy. Kat is a Jersey guy.
Bridges is not only a Rams fan, he shouted out
Weatherspoon after having the most televised chain snatch since Richard
Sherman and Michael Crabtree. Uh if people are still saying
this next team ain't tough, okay, we'll see. I'm happy
we got you on board, l Q, let's go.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I did not expect the start of this show to
turn into nixtape, but here we are. Yeah there it is. Ah, Okay,
enough NBA talk. We are going to do a rookie
mock draft. We did a we did the whole mock
draft recently and now we want to do kind of
a rookie thing. I have not picked an order. We'll
maybe do that live on the show or something.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
We'll figure out how to do it, but we'll do
that in later on the show. We'll start though, with
a little bit of news headlines, news and rumors. By
the best way to describe this, because I saw this
and I just took a.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Deep sigh when I saw this headline.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
As it says.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
In the Rundown, Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Falcons offensive coordinator Zach Robinson says he expects Kyle Pitts
to quote take a big jump in the second year
in the offensive scheme.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
All right, man, like.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Florida, I'm gonna ask you, because you know you and
I we we held off for a while, like we
rode this thing for a while with Kyle Pitts, and
last year was kind of like, all right, man, it's
just it's not happening. You even did a big thing
on Fantasy Live where you just basically proclaimed that you
were out. Now he's currently tight end sixteen in the
Fantasy pros ranking. So the investment is not big. But

(03:20):
are you willing? Are you willing for one last ride?
It's it's you know, it's the burglar who's getting one
last score before he gets out of the game. Are
you willing to do one last ride with Kyle Pitts.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Just when I think I'm out right, they pull me
back in because I don't want to be right. Like
like you said, I literally declared on Fantasy Live last
year that I'm done but at tight end sixteen. I
pulled up a Fantasy pros consensus ranks tightened eighteen. Some
of the names going around him zach Ertz, Pat Fryermouth,

(03:57):
like Dallas Goddard. I'm in on Goddard if he gets moved,
But like with him on Philly and these other guys,
I would take the shot on Pitts as my tight
end two over those guys because of upside. Now I'll
preference it by saying I think I'm gonna be more
in on the rookie tight ends than Kyle Pitts. Like
in that tight end two range probably have a lot

(04:17):
more Tyler Warren, maybe some Colston Loveland sprinkled in. But
I've also been on this show saying a lot that
I'm probably gonna be the weight on tight end guy
this year because I'm so sick of being in the
middle rounds and getting burned by someone that I think
has upside that I'd rather just wait and throw two
darts late. If I'm going that route, Kyle Pitts fits

(04:37):
as one of those late round upside darts.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I mean, Lakwan, you were new to the Kyle Pitts bandwagon.
We finally got you on last year, and you know,
we see how that worked out. If what's burned and
you're done, or you willing to maybe forgive and forget
a little.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Bit, it takes very little for me to put you
in the satur this time. Honestly, come on, Florio, we
need to get our friend some help. He needs to
get off the Kyle Pits train. This is a serious problem. Like,
there's a number you could probably call for the conference.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
This is bad, bro.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Like when I see Zach Robinson talking about this and
then I remember where he came from. He is a
Sean McVay guy. He is a guy that understands how
the three wide receiver set works in that Levin personnel.
And that's exactly what we were seeing last season. They
were twenty first in tight end targets per game, which
was only five. So it's just like it's not a

(05:29):
tight end friendly situation. This is not how the offense
is going to be able to operate at a high
level to create these scoring opportunities. Because we look at
Ray Ray McCleod, he was Fantasy relevant soon. It should
have been Kyle Pitch, but it wasn't because the offense
just operated better, you know what I mean. So it's
like he'll be trying to fit and fix and make

(05:50):
a square go in a circle, putting Kyle Pits in
this offense to be functionable. Like, I just don't really
see it happening for a full season scale for me
to even want to dive into tight end sixteen where
you named Dallas godd zach Ertz and who else was it?
I mean, another guy that child, Pat Fryn. These are
tight end friendly offenses, man. It just it just does

(06:11):
not make sense for me to even try to go
buy candy corn just because it's a penny.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You know, well you shouldn't buy candy corn anyway, because
candy corn is an insult to both candy and corn.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
But that's a different story.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
I mean, but Lakwan, I mean, I mean just just
from a talent standpoint, Like you don't think he's more
talented than Ray Ray McLeod or Darnel Mooney.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I said this last season, like make him a Patriot,
Like if we were able to see Honor Henry, you
know what I mean, just go out there and sneaky,
be good to be fantasy relevant. I think he needs
to go to a team that will utilize him more
as a actual threat. Like he's just a decoy at
this point in Atlanta where we have not seen that
rookie year from him, and then when we look back

(06:51):
to that rookie year, it's so long ago. It was
like almost ten years ago. My son is like Box nine,
Like it just feels like ago does not feel real
that you know, we are still on this train that
is just neverlasting, that we'll see greatness.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, I do think most people are sort of off
of this now. Like the fact that he is ranked
so low I think suggests how most people feel. But
you know, look, you know the fantasy streets they got,
they got a lot of hope in their hearts.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Man, like a lot of out there.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I mean, how many times there's always a guy who
has a hive and you see one good story about
him and then suddenly the hive starts buzzing again.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
So I'm you know, I'm just curious.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
What has a perfect example for that.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Oh, I mean, I still think the ultimate example will
always be Josh Gordon will always be Josh Gordon.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
You know, no matter how many story man that burned
the community.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
No matter how many times he was suspended, it almost
comes like every time, hey, Josh Gordon possibly up the
real statement, like people would just kind of dive back
in again. So yeah, I would keep an eye on
on Pitts's ADP, but I do think most people are
kind of like, all right, man, this ship has definitely
sailed at this pet.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Yeah, this one's for you. Lakwan. Oh boy.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Kyron Williams says, quote, I don't feel like I touched
my peak yet. Last year he finishes the RB seven,
He's ranked right around RB eleven or twelve. This year.
You know, we have discussed many times how you feel
about Kyron Williams.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
On this show.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
What is his peak in fantasy for what is the
ceiling in twenty twenty five last season?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I mean, that will be the absolute best case scenario,
But there's a different situation going on now. I mean
you add another body to that running back room. You know,
Jarques Hunter is going to touch the ball because he
has that juice that we've been lacking. And it's more
so looking at you like how last season ended, like
we're going to see sprinkles the more Blake korm but
then unfortunately in a pointless game he gets injured. We

(08:51):
don't see him in the playoffs. So Kyrion Williams is
going to have to either get a little bit faster
on breakaway speed or he's gonna have to have stick
him on his hands when he's grabbed in that ball
from Matthew Stafford to not drop it. And these are
things that he needs to work on. But there's just
too many factors where I don't even see him hitting
his ceiling at that he did last season to be
an RB one. It probably like a fringe RB one

(09:13):
where some weeks he might sprinkle in a touchdown here
and there. But I'm looking at him as an RB two.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Florida he went what third round if I'm not mistaken,
and yeah, or reason why I.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Feel like Kyron is so underappreciated in Fantasy Man. He
went in LA for almost fifteen hundred yards last year
and sixteen touchdowns like and no one wants them. Okay,
I'll gladly take him. Then in late down three last season,
so that is you. You hit on that last season.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Because you were like, he's getting to the point where
like his ADP is dropping where I'm all in, like I.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Remember you see him. I had a contract extension with him.
The Rams seem to want him around, like, you know,
I know RB three. Here thinks Joe west Hunter is
going to walk in and just start taking like all
these touches and every but like everything the Rams are
doing suggests they still want Tyron Williams around.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
He was too much though, sprinkle of RB three, I
love then that off guard you know RB three.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
But like even before last year he had in twenty
twenty three he had what fifteen So he's had fifteen
touchdowns in two straight years and over thirteen hundred total yards,
and he's tied to one of the best coaches in
football and one of the best offenses in football.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
And this is where real life scenario comes in. He
leads the league in those back to back seasons and
fumbles loss and that's the biggest problem and why they're
not getting this contract done this season.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
He wants too much to be such a liability. I
think fumbles are highly overrate.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
It can be fixed. It's the thing that can be fixed.
Lots of guys couldn't fix it.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
It's a backbreaker in a in that moment and in
a game. But over he had five fumbles on how
many touches, three hundred and fifty touches.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
But there was a crucial look at the games that
you're coming from a fan standpoint, you know, like I
think if you're Sean mcvayh you're like, you don't want
you to have those five fumbles, but you have.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
To have like fan had on. I mean, the community
has spoken like we are not all in on Gyron,
like the Rams community, like we're more burned on that
Eagles fumble. We're more burned on the crucial fumbles and
the fumbles that just keep happening. So that's more so
how I'm looking at it.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
That minus two doesn't really hurt me that much. No,
I mean, really, it doesn't really hurt me that much.
I mean it's the same way like you know, like
I've I've been arguing for years that for quarterbacks. You
should have escalators on interceptions, right that like anything after
Like you, it's minus two for your first two interceptions.
You throw a third, that's minus three. You throw a fourth,
it's minus four. Because really, those minus twos don't hurt

(11:52):
as much. It's the reason Jameis Winston can throw thirty
picks in a season and still be a top five
fantasy quarterback. Like in fantasy. If this is if these
are the that we are working with, those minus tuents
don't hurt me.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Especially if he finds the end.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Zone and hurt eight fumbles on six hundred and fifty
four career touches. That is a fumble point oh one
every like percent of his touch.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
It doesn't hurt all fantasy people, but it hurts the rams.
You see what I'm saying, which goes into decision making
of but.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
He's fumbling on less than on less than point one
percent of his touches.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I hear you, guys. I'm just saying it goes into
the decision making and giving him the ball and how
many times he will touch the ball in those crucial areas.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
It's talking about giving him a contract extension so they
don't hate it that much.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
And they can't agree on it because he touched the
ball three hundred and fifty times last year.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I mean, if they were really just out on him,
they would have just been like, all.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Right, well we're done. We're just gonna let you, let
you walk.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
We haven't heard that from like what since January February
now and then we haven't heard anything about a contract.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
From him, like late late late March. There was you know,
some articles from the end of March.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, dude, make him do the tiki barber, have him
carry a football in higher off season.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
As the program, right, you see the program. Anybody brings
his football back to me other than you, you gonna
be problems, like you know, just just treat them like
omar abso the program, he'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
I view fumbles kind of how Harmon has have used
drops Matt harmon front of the show, Like they don't
matter unless the coaching staff stops giving you opportunities.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Yeah, that's why.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
That's why I'm with it.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
But like Sean McVay is still running him out there
and giving him touches. So like, if Sean McVay trusts him,
why why can't Lakwan Jones? You know you got me there,
you got me there. I'm just still hurt.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
I feel like we should have a ring another ring
last season, but that's just again. I have my fan
hat on. I'll leave it alone.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
You you are, You are with Kien Williams where Floria
was with Dalton Kincaid at the end of Une.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yes, yeah, mine is a little bit like it's still
in my gut.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
But the difference is is Kyen Williams is a legitimately
good football player. The jury is still out on Dalton.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
K and Kate.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
I mean, like right now, if Lakwan had his way,
he would like blindfold Kyen Williams and ask him to
walk across wils Or Boulevard during rush.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
That's what he would ask him. That's where we are.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
If you could dodge a car, you could dodge a.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
You can hold a football, Like, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (14:20):
All right? Well right now, right now, people are still
sort of in But yes, the ADP is falling and
I'm curious whether or not we see a bounce at
some point during here's the We'll never see a bounce
during training camp with the Rams because let me let
me rephrase that, let me let me think this throughout that. Right,
if we see Karen Williams playing during the preseason, then
it's all bad and you stay away from him. If

(14:43):
Kyraen Williams is not playing during the preseason, if Sean
me Vay is holding him back, then it's all good
and uh, you know, we all move ahead.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
I'm praying that they announced that he's going to return
punts or something. Let him a fourth.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Round to aspire on the fantasy streets. Last year.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
That was fun though we saw that work last year, and.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Like Blake korm is going to be returning kicks.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Yeah, didn't you.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Tell me he returned like six kicks or something like that, Like, yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
I don't even know if it was.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
He wasn't after Week three.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Yeah, I don't even think it was.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
That many last year, after like the whole hubbub about
the him returning kicks and everything, and I think I
think even the ones the attempts he had, I feel
like he, like fare.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Caught most of them.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
As he should. He got injured his first year, his
rookie year, he got injured on kick return.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Last year, he returned two punts for twelve yards.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
He has five five punt returns in his entire career.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Nice, yeah, there it is all right.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Last a little bit of me and it will lead
us into our rookie mock draft. Chad Reuter, who does
a lot of great work at NFL dot Com, has
sixteen Day three picks who could compete for starter snaps
as rookies. I picked out three that were kind of interest.
Positionally the order that he put them in because they
were different. It was different than the order they went
in our most recent mock draft. He has Jayden Blue

(16:04):
among the offensive players as the first one on his
list with the Dallas Cowboys. Some of it kind of
I was say, it hurts like I at this point,
I'm kind of I know what Javonte Williams is, like
I have I have, I have no more illusions about
Javonte Williams. I do think there's a real chance Jaden
Blue can get starter snaps in this offense. I guess

(16:27):
the question, though, Florial, is is that enough to make
him fantasy relevant? Like like was he is he gonna
take enough of the workload that it's gonna matter for us.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
I think it's enough to be throwing late round dart
throws on him. And I think I'm the one who
took him in our latest mock in like round eleven.
I want to say ten to eleven something like that,
and I want to continue to do so because he
ran a four three seven forty and when you watch him,
he plays that fast. He's quick feet, he's got burst,
and he's the type of running back that could take

(16:59):
like a ten yearn and turn it into a really
long touchdown run or something like that. And I don't
want to say he's going to fully overtake this backfield.
I think Miles Sanders is just there for depth. I
think the Cowboys are looking at it like Blue and
Javonte are their guys. But to me, if you're splitting work,

(17:19):
give me the guy who has the big play capability,
who can get those explosive plays. And the more I
think it's one of these situation guys where like early
in the year, I'm expecting Javonte to open up as
the starter. I know there's a camp battle and everything
that's still to occur, but I think Blue could just
steal more and more work as the year goes on,
and come the second half of the season, I do

(17:41):
think he has the potential to be either in every
week flex option or an RB two something like that.
Because let's not forget either the Cowboys. They use their
their the picks and stuff that they had this year
to revamp their O line more than anything. So if
he's getting running lanes and stuff, he can really make
defenses pay.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeah, I mean, I think that's that's probably fair.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
I just I'm skeptical that one of these guys gets
a big enough opportunity. Like I'm with you, I think
Javonte is the starter in week one. I don't think
there's much argument there. It's a question of how long
does it take Blue to get up the speed and
when do they trust him? Will they trust him enough
to give him a sign you know, like is he

(18:24):
gonna get more than eight to ten touches in a game?
Because if he's just hovering around like eight to ten,
even twelve, that's gonna be hard.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
And that's I think that might.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Be good though, because like where he's going in rookie drafts,
you're getting him like in that late second or even
in the third round, like we just did it mocked
the other day. He went at the three h five
and I'm like, well, that's kind of cheap. You know,
I could take that shot on him, But in redraft,
like Florio said, if you're gonna take that lay round Dart,
you're just hoping that he gets those ten to twelve touches.
Because we already know Miles Sanders probably not making the team.

(18:56):
Javonte Williams is going to be the kind of bigger
every down back and probably get some goal line carries.
But they have that backfield to have some juice that's
definitely gonna be Blue. So if he breaks off like
a seventy four year run, that's points, that's opportunity showing
that the coaching staff can trust him with the ball
if he doesn't fumble it. But Isaiah Stanback has been
pounding the table, pounding the table that they are revising

(19:17):
that old line he's going. He's been pounding the table
that the coaching staff as well are going to try
to have this run game look like vintage Cowboys run
game we known in love when Zeke was there. So
like they don't really necessarily have the running back pieces
right now, but Blue can take that opportunity as to
lead back to make that mold of what they're trying
to get with that run game.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Yeah. I mean two things about that. One, they are
trying to rebuild it to what they had when Zeke
was there, but they don't have Zeke, like they don't
have they don't have prime, they don't have like you know,
early career Zeke, who was just you know, just a monster.
The other part is if we are if part of
the excitement about Blue is hoping he breaks a long play,

(19:58):
like you know what Devan e Chan did as a
rookie with like just big play after big play was phenomenals,
also not reputable, Like it's just a hard thing to
bank on if that's what we have to bank on
with like.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Eight Chan, and then there's Bucky Irvin and then hopefully
it's our Jay Harvey and then Blue somewhere there.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
The next guy on Chad's list was camp Scattaboo. I
don't know how much we want to do because we
all love camp scattaby Yeah, he's but is he anything more?
I liked Tyrone Tracy and I thought he showed well
at times last year. I mean, Lakwan I. As much
as I like cam Scataboo, I'm not convinced he's able
to push Tracy aside in any significant way this year.

(20:39):
No way.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
I mean when Tracy took the keys after Week five,
it was kind of like, WHOA, this guy can really
ball out and play. I think more so if you
look at those final five to six games, like his
efficiency was all over the place, but fantasy wise, he
put up like nineteen points in one of those games
that he had like three point seven yards for Kerry,
and then he was able to get some receiving work
as well because he's a former wide receiver, so when

(21:02):
he gets into that open space, he could be just
as good as Cam Scataboo out in that space in
the passion game. So he has the duality that they're
looking for that you know Camp Scattaboo possesses. But I
don't think that you're just going to completely get rid
of Tyrone. Tracy's just more so going to be a
headache of him splitting because we kind of saw that
with Devin Singletary with his role as well when he

(21:22):
was there in the first early couple of games of
the season.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
I don't see Florio is that guy was that.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
I think he's going to be their lead back.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Cam Yeah, damn wow. I like I mean, I like that.
I'm very curious about that. My fear is they end
up kind of splitting in that more than anything, Cam
Scataboo and Wandale Robinson are going to do a lot
of the same things in that passing.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Game Lee Wandell Alone Rose.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
No, it's not.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
It's not like a shot at Wandelle Robinson. Just more
than like what they asked him to do and what
they asked Cam Scattaboo to do. We're going to be
very similar, that's all I think.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
I think we're going to get a rotation because Tracy
former widers like to me, I think we're gonna get
a lot more to running back sets than we did
last season. I wouldn't be surprised if these guys just
alternate drives to keep them fresh and stuff like that,
because they are very similar skill sets and look I
like Tracy a lot as well, but like there was

(22:19):
a lot of times last year where he looked very
much so looked like a guy still learning the running
back position. Whereas Skataboo comes in, he's bigger, he's got
more draft capital, stuff like that. I don't think Tracy
goes away, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's like
a sixty to forty split in Cam's favor.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
The next thing is we need the Giants to just
score more points.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Yeah yeah, I might say the most important part.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
We need them to score more points. Then it becomes
a thing for sure.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Last one, Dante Thornton, the wide receiver for the Raiders.
I mean, guys, this just looks like a I mean,
you just look at the depth chart there. I mean,
we know Jacobins is going to play and get targets.
Jack Besh a second round pick, he's gonna be on
the field, But why can't Thornton compete with like Trey
Tucker or somebody like that.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
I think he takes that from Trey Tucker honestly off top.
I mean, Trey Tucker is more of like a Wandell
Robson type that you kind of have gadget and move
around and line of scrimmage stuff. But Thornton, he could
stretch the field and that's his big specialty of just
high pointing the ball, being physical combat hands that all
the draft analysts say. So he's one of those guys
that could really be a threat and help out Gino

(23:31):
on that long ball. And the same with Jack Besh, Like,
I think the offense just looks better with him on
the field versus a Trey Tucker where he's limited in
packages of what he can do.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
The much better real life thing more than fantasy. I
have zero interested fantasy.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
I was just gonna say, because like last year, brock
Bauers had one hundred and fifty three targets, Jakobe Myers
had one hundred and twenty nine targets.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
A bad quarterback players going to get one hundred more
touchdowns than Thide last year.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yeah, I think Besh probably had like the right there,
like the seventy five market, you know.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
And Pete struggled to get JSN fantasy relevant when he
was at three in Seattle. So sorry Thornton, like sorry Besch,
like all of these guys, I still think Myers and
Bowers are the top two targets, and after that, I'm really.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Not without a doubt.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Last year the two of them combined for almost forty
eight percent of the Raiders targets.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
Yeah. Wow, So I think at best, I think.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Even more, there's no reason to stop throwing to the ground.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
At best, Thornton will be the number four target if
he becomes a starter consistently, and that's just that's just
not enough to make it worthwhile. Yeah, but anyway, it
was a good lead into I go check it out
over NFL dot com. Sixteen day three starters, who can
compete for sixteen day three picks, who can compete for
starter snaps as rookies, you know, go through the whole thing.
There's defensive players there as well. But it's a good

(24:54):
way to lead us into our rookie mock draft. We'll
take a break. We will dumb me up a draft
order or some sort or something like that. Come back,
I let you know how we feel about this whole
thing that's coming up next on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
All right, So, after.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Some long deliberation between the tweet segments, we basically decided
that I'll go first in the QUANTU second, and Florida
will go third.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Simple.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
It really was as simple as, hey, you want to
go first? Yeah, okay, sure, no real science to it.
We're gonna go through four rounds of a rookie mod draft.
We'll each have four picks any first round or each round,
I should say.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
So it's more of like.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Kind of just a feeling of how we think these
drafts will shake out. It's not necessarily trying to build
any kind of rosters or anything like that, just kind
of our feeling about this whole thing.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Uh, let's do super flex. Why not just give these Q.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
I guess this QI class sucks, give them some love.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
I feel like, you know, maybe this year there's not
as much of a difference between a super flex.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
And yeah, it's true. Actually you don't have the drafts
a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
You know, there's not There's not a ton ton of difference.
Maybe a little bit, but not a lot. So anyway,
I will start it off without a doubt. There's there's
no argument here. Ashton john c Yeah is going to
be the first pick here in in our rookie mock draft.
I mean, yeah, we've talked about it so much, huge
opportunity there in Las Vegas. Incredible talent. He's easily the

(26:28):
number one pick for me. So uh, lakwan you are
up next? Where you going with the number two pick
in a super fly super flex?

Speaker 2 (26:36):
I'm going to go with Travis Hunter, and I believe
that is probably the safest pick because of what we
already know about Jacksonville. What they have planned from the US.
I mean, I'm expecting a high target share between him
and Brian Thomas Junior. I don't see them adding any
other wide receivers there. The running back, you know is
basically you know, Travis Etn, Tank, Bixby and Brashral Tuton,

(26:59):
so they're all gonna be rotating there. So the target
share should be high, you know, for a Britton Strange
and Brian Thomas Junior and a Travis Hunter. So that's
my pick, all right.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
So Travis Hunter goes number two, Floria, you're at number three,
where A you're gonna go?

Speaker 3 (27:13):
I was really hoping for Travis Hunter.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
So but.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
I made this splash on in a rookie draft last week.
I'm gonna double down on it. Give me Trevion Henderson,
who I know is not most people's consensus RB two
in this class, but he was my RB two in
this class heading into the draft. And I think him
and Hampton are in similar situations where right away they're
gonna be splitting back splitting work with a veteran back.

(27:40):
The difference is the regime in LA brought in that
other veteran back. They did not in New England. Plus
Henderson is just a bigger play threat, and I think
he's a better pass catcher as well.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
All right, so we start off with John C. Hunter
and then Henderson. Well, this is a super flex draft,
so I will gladly take camera at the number four
spot he falls to me. There, I get it, like, yes,
we know this is not the deepest quarterback class, but
he was I think easily the number one.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
Guy in this class.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
We saw kind of how things shook out with the
rest of the qbs here, So I will gladly take
him at number four and hopefully maybe he is Tennessee's
quarterback of the future once he pushes Will Levis aside.
So there is all right, So those are the top four. Lakwan,
you are up at number five?

Speaker 4 (28:29):
Where are you gonna go?

Speaker 2 (28:31):
So I am going to make a splash here as well.
And I believe a lot of people are sleeping on him.
I wrote him down just I could see it and
believe it. Trey Harris with the Chargers over Tetuo McMillan,
And I say that because the upside is just endless,
being that the target competition is only really lab McConkey,
and we're trying to get Mike Evans back in the

(28:52):
building for him to be healthy. But again, he's just
basically Mike Williams without the dangerous diving of the ball
hurting hisself. Quentin, I think that project is pretty much over.
We could go ahead and put that under the rug
and try to forget about it. So who else is
there other than lad Maconki causing that distraction in the
middle of the field. And they need a big playmaker
as that X, and he's your prototype X. And there

(29:14):
you go.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Trey Harris not worried about the whole Jim Harbaugh, Greg Roman.
We want to run the ball because we got the.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Third the ball sometimes if you want to go down deep,
that's seventeen yards per perception looks very very good with
Trey Harris.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
So I'm all in, all right, okay, So Trey Harris
goes five, Flora, would you like to go off menu here?

Speaker 4 (29:34):
You're gonna be a little more chalky here.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Oh no, I'm I'm going to take the guy that
I passed up on last time. Give me o Marion Hampton,
like I think that this guy is gonna be a
top five picking almost all rookie drafts and most of them.
He's going top three, and I know I made a
splash with Henderson, but Hampton is built to handle a
ton of volume and there's an opportunity for him to

(29:56):
grow as the year goes on and get more and
more of that volume. Got to pray that someone signs JK.
Dobbins and he doesn't like end up back in LA
because then that's off. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
That that's the scary part right now. But here's the thing.
If you're talking dynasty, I think it's still okay because JK. Dobbins,
Najie Harris, like, none of those guys are going to
be their long term Hampton should outlast all of them.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Nagie doesn't have like a career year with jeans that
actually fit, and he runs faster see but's.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Not running jeans at all. It just seems uncomfortable, whether
they fit well or not.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Well.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
At this point, guys keep falling to me in a
spot where I'm very happy. So at number seven, I
will take Ted McMillan. You know, I get you guys
wanting to you know.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Maybe I'll say, let's say plant flags.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
I mean, taking Travis Hunter at two is not crazy,
you know, I don't think taking Trey Harris maybe a
little aggressive at the five spot, but you know, I
get it. So either way, tenor McMillan, who looks like
the future, he and maybe our palle Xavier Le get
the future of the Carolina Wide Receiver Corps. And especially
if Bryce Young can continue to improve, I think there's

(31:09):
some potential there, so I will take him at seven.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
So uh, back to you, Lakwan at number.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Eight, number eight, I'm go r J. Harvey and I
think a lot of people are kind of up in
arms about him getting that first round grade. But the
situation is just too juicy, man, Like, I just look
at the situation. Who else do they have? Who else is?

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Who else is Bowt?

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Nick's going to turn around to hand the ball off
to and when he wants to dump it off, it's
not gonna be all your estimate.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Oh my god, don't say his name estimate.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Listen. I'm trusting Sean Payne not to screw this up
because he has a workforce. I'm trusting. I'm trying to
trust him, but I'm gonna take him at that one
O eight. Tyler Batty, oh my, he's is naming like
RB five's at this point oh, I mean, is that
beneath you?

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Because then.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Marcus's face was pure shock, like this is to cut
off his.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
RB fore man got it all right?

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Right, I mean what I'm working with, that's all. That's
all all right. So R J. Harvey is now off.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
The board, Florida.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
Where would you like to.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Go at number nine?

Speaker 3 (32:22):
You guys are giving me Oh wait, no, I just
realized that Marcus, you did take McMillan. I was gonna say,
you guys are giving me a huge gift here with
I'm gonna go with a different running back here, one
who I think belongs.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
No, not that I was trying to jump the gun here,
I was like, I was right.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Oh, I will admit I was not a Caleb guy
prior to the draft. But like LQ said on our
last show, he fell to the perfect landing spot. And
I think you are going to yeah, you're going to
get Naji Harris volume here, but with big play capability.
I think it was. Ian Harden tweeted today that like

(33:01):
Naji Harris like leads the NFL in twenty plus yard
runs the last two years, but he's never had one
more than thirty seven in his career. As our producer
Gavin let us know the other day. So imagine if
he had some forty plus yard runs sprinkled in. Caleb
has a ton of that in his college tape, so
I think that is what we get. And he just
is like the prototypical Steelers running back. I just think

(33:23):
people are holding onto their priors a little bit too
much right here.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
I mean people are calling him Naji Harris two point.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Zero, so you know, but he's fast exactly a terrible
thing though, because he's going to get the Naji volume,
like I'm in on it. I mean, I just have
my issues with no wiggle, Like just just shake your
hips a little bit, man, make the guy miss.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Don't run at him or through him like it's eusy.
Being Nagi hers is not bad. It's just it's not exciting.
And I think that's the reason. But if you want something.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
If you gave Naji Harris, like a mushroom from Mario Kart,
you would get excited. That's what Caleb.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Johnson it is, you know, all right, So I feel
like there's a lot of places I could go here
at number ten, you know, just because I I've been
a fan of this guy' been touting him for a while.
I am going to take Tyler Warren. I'm gonna take

(34:22):
Tyler at ten. Again, this is sort of more looking
long term, right that believing the Colts maybe not this year,
but in the next year or two are going to
figure out something with a quarterback situation. Number one pick
they may be in the in the conversation for sure,

(34:43):
and look, next year, the quarterback draft is expected to
be a lot deeper. So even if they don't get
that number one pick, they're still a shot for them
to get their quarterback of the future. I think Tyler
Warren can do so many different things, so I'm willing
to take the shot on him.

Speaker 6 (34:56):
I think.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
There were there are a couple other guys I hadn't
my eye on.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
I just had, you know, questions about So this is
this is where I'm gonna go.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
So all right, we got.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Two more picks left here in the first round, and
we'll go on around around two. Lakwan, who do you
want at eleven?

Speaker 2 (35:12):
I'm going to go Jackson Dark And I'm only going
to do that because I'm not expecting year one production.
Because you got the other guys in the room, you
got the veterans there but you got win. Seeing got
Russell Wilson, I think when the keys are handed to him,
I think this season will be good enough where you
have Brian the Bowl who still holds onto a job
next season and be able to develop Jackson Dart because
I do have some optimism about this offense. If they

(35:34):
mold it right and they get some more picks, they
make a desirable want to play in New York again.
Jackson Dark could be a guy that I will be
happy to get, you know, as like a QB two
in most most leagues.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
All right, so take off the board in the first round. Huh.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
You can take out of jersey, but you can't take
the jersey out of help.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Let's go all right, So Florida, you get to wrap
up around one.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
You take it at twelve.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
I'll take the running back that you started writing on
my last pick because quin Shawn Jenkins is a first
round pick in rookie drafting. Yeah, I'm not the highest
on him, but I mean he's gonna get a ton
of volume right away. And that's as long as the like,
as long as the Browns aren't getting their doors blown off,
I expect him to get a bunch of volumes, so
maybe like three cup times this.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Year, right, Yeah, it was between Warren and Judkins. For me,
I decided to go got a Warren just you know,
tight end is still a little bit of a premium
where if you can find a good one, I think
it's worth holding on to. And I think there's potentially
one right there. So that's why I went to Warren
over Judkins. All right, So that's through round one recap.
Juhnty goes one, Travis Hunter at two, Tradyon Henderson at three,

(36:44):
cam Ward at four, Trey Harris is number five, Omarion
Hampton goes six, Cetero McMillan at seven, r J. Harvey
at eight, Caleb Johnson at nine, Tyler Warrenton Jackson Dark
goes eleven, and Quinschawn Judkins goes at number twelve.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
So starting round two, I'm looking around.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
And uh, I'm gonna like that it does sometimes it's
bees like that. I'm gonna take a Mecca Abuka to
start the start the second round. You know, definitely didn't
want him in round one, you know, I know we
were all sort of head scratching when the bucks made

(37:24):
the pick. But look as great as Mike Evans has
been you know, his time is starting to come to
an end. You know, Chris Godwin after a couple of
major injuries, is he going to be the same?

Speaker 4 (37:35):
How long before?

Speaker 1 (37:36):
This passing game really does censor around Jalen McMillan and
a Mecca Abuka.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
So it may not be a.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Year one thing. This may be a year two three
sort of thing. But I think there is a path.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Eventually forward for Abuka in Tampa Bay.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
All right, Lukwan, you are up with your first pick
in the second round.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
I'm going to go with it's between two players, and
I'm probably gonna go with my heart if this was
a real draft. But Jaden Higgins, man, I gotta pull
them up. Got to pull them up, man, I gotta
get because he's gonna have Day one opportunities. Being that
you know, we already saw that DJ gave him that
draft camp of Nico Collins, and there's times for Nico

(38:17):
isn't always available to be Nico Collins. And if we're
going to get that draft comp and we got a
guy that is his size running a four to four,
it's very rare that we see guys of his size
and his caliber and able to go up and grab
the ball like how he's able to do. I'm going
to take on that talent that he has a capable
quarterback as well on the other side that throw him
the ball with CJ.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
Strout.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
I do think, you know, I think it's gonna be
a consistent thing that guys were taking now aren't necessarily
going to work their way into starter roles in year one.
I think it's a lot of guys who are like
you look at the path, and the path looks you know,
you see a clearing right there might be something in
your way right now, but we see kind of the
light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like

(38:58):
that with Jayden Higgins too, in a wide receiver room
that's really crowded down there in Houston at this point
our Florida, you're pick number fifteen overall, where you're gonna go.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
I'm going with my heart and I do. We were
talking about him a little while ago. Give me Cam Skataboo.
I think he can get be the guy year one
for the New York Giants, and I think there's potential
for the New York Giants offense to be better than
we're thinking after what we een in recent years. Pick
up pete average. That's all the whirling from what they

(39:33):
were last season.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
So that is true.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
They ama three losses since well three less three less
wins each year that Brandon Bull has been there. So
they went nine and whatever, and I won six wins
and then three wins.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Last year seventeen. Baby, here, we're on track.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
You know what, You know what Eli Manning led them
to glory, So why not put yourself in line to
draft Eli's nephew and have him be the guy that
leads you to gloy and.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
They he's not an old miss QB on the roster already.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
It's miss QB on the line exactly. Just you know,
everything coming together in New York. You just have to
suffer through a season of pain. I'm gonna take at
number sixteen. I'm gonna go Luther Burden here. Interesting at

(40:22):
this spot. It's a little bit of a belief in
uh In Ben Johnson, a little bit of a belief
in Caleb Williams.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
It is knowing.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
You know, obviously Keenan Allen not there anymore, so there's competition,
you know, he's he's obviously got to deal with DJ
Moore and Romo Donze as the top two targets there.
I've yeah, I'm curious, there's there's another potential pass catcher
that's still out there that has not been drafted yet
who he could have to compete with for targets early
on in his career. But I just think the way

(40:53):
this offense sets up, I'm you know, I think Luther
Burden has a real again, not maybe a year one
super relevant kind of game season. Rather he'll have games
here and there, But I do think down the road,
Luther Burden potentially is the guy in there in Chicago.
So that's a sixteen mkwan who's got at seventeen?

Speaker 2 (41:14):
This is looking real nasty right now. I think I
think this should be a good pick Jack Besh because
we talked about it a little bit and he's starting
to get a little buzz right now in the fantasy
streets because the Raiders came out. They expect him to
make a Day one impact. I think we can get
seventy five targets out of him, and I honestly think
that's decent for a guy that's just coming in as

(41:34):
a year one guy. And he's a playmaker that we
explained before that he can operate in all three levels
of the field. It's not like you have to put
him in one package. He can do everything that you
ask for him. If you want to put Jacobe Myers
on the outside outside of him playing in the slot,
you could put Besh there and he could work that
middle for Gino. So I'll take Jack Besh, all right.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
So Jack Besch goes seventeen. Florya, you're at eighteen. Who
you got.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Colston Lovelin, Like, I'm surprised he made it this far.
And look, I know a lot of target comp in Chicago,
but they used the tenth overall pick on this guy
and Ben Johnson. They picked him over Tyler Warren. Ben
Johnson continues to say, he's like Sam Laporta. So I'm
gonna try. I liked Warren a lot more, but I'll
go with Loveland here in the middle of round two.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
All right, So Coaston Loveland maybe falls a couple of spots,
but he ends up going there in round two. I
don't know if this is hot, taky or not, but
I'm gonna take I'm gonna take Jaden Blue here at
at nineteen.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
After we talked about him earlier in the show Blues.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Look, man, it's a it's a one year deal for
Javonte Williams, you know, and in.

Speaker 2 (42:44):
A couple month deal from Miles Sanders.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Right. I mean, like neither one of those guys projects
to be in Dallas beyond this year. Uh you know,
I think this year it's gonna be frustrating if you're
trying to start blue on a redraft team on a
week to week basis. But I think again, it's another
guy that everything's setting up for him to get a
bigger opportunity. Now. You know, this can all blow up
if the Cowboys decide to spend a relatively high draft

(43:09):
pick next year on a running back. But for now,
he projects to be the starter in a couple of years,
and if they can really rebuild that offensive line, I
think there's potentially something there. So I'll take him at
nineteen back to you OLQ. At twenty, I'm gonna get
some tight end love.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
I'm gonna go Mason Taylor, and I think there's an
option for him to be like a guy there, you know,
to have some type of target share there. Being that
you know, Garrett Wilson needs help, but he doesn't need
the ego to be, you know, hurt and bruised with
another alpha wide receiver on that offense. But if you
bring in a tight end man that just understands the
game and understands where to be, it's not the greatest separators.

(43:47):
He's not a guy that can beat you vertically all
the time, but he just knows where to be sometimes
for his quarterback to be a security blanket and justin
fields he needs that.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
All right, So well we got the three side ends
off the board. You're a late in the second round
the florio at twenty one? Who you got?

Speaker 3 (44:04):
Give me base Shall Teuton, who is the fastest running
back in this class. Very explosive, and I think fell
to a great landing spot because Travis Etn and Tank Bigsby,
those are old regime guys, and the Jags still went
out and used a day two pick on Twoton, and
so I think there's opportunity there for him to come

(44:25):
in and see work right away, even if it's out
week one. Just as the year goes on, get more
and more utilized in that Liam Cohen system.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
All right, So base Shall Tuton coming off the board
at twenty two, all right, I will.

Speaker 4 (44:41):
End the slide for Matthew Golden. A.

Speaker 1 (44:45):
Yeah, I know, we talk a lot about this on
draft night, We talked about it afterwards. None of us
are excited about the landing spot and having to deal
with that very weird Green Bay receiving room. But yeah,
at some point there's a lot of people there. But again,
like how long are all those people going to be there?

(45:07):
You know, at some point there's gonna be opportunity for
Matthew Golden. So at this point, at this point in
the draft, I wanted to take the shot on him
and seeing you know, eventually hopefully the talent sort of
wins out and that opportunities kind of open themselves up
for him. So two more picks in round two, they'll
hit a quick break. But the Lakwan who you got
at twenty three?

Speaker 2 (45:25):
M I got dark, But I'm gonna go Jaylen Milroe,
that's my guy.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
And we're we're we're seeing the slow mode videos coming
out now.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Come back around, like we're I was gonna wait for
him to be a starter man.

Speaker 4 (45:48):
All right?

Speaker 6 (45:48):
All right?

Speaker 1 (45:48):
So Jaylen Milroe goes with the second to last pick
in the second round. You got the last pick, Floria,
who you can take.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Well that I was one hundred to take Milroe, but
I'll pivot to Elijah Arroyu, who I really like and
I think fell to a good spot. He just has
to beat out Noah fan right for opportunities in year one.
But I really like him as a prospect, and he's
big bodied, he's great with the ball in his hands

(46:15):
after the catch. I think he's better than he got
credit for coming out of call.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
All right, so we actually end the second round with
a pair of Seahawks with the Jalen Milroe and Elijah Iroyo.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
Got two more rounds left to go.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Get a quick break, come back and get your rounds
three and four here on the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
All right, we are through two rounds of our rookie
mock Draft. We have two more rounds to go, so
I will start things off with the twenty fifth pick
here at the top of the third round. M I'm

(46:51):
gonna say Kyle Williams here, Wow, what.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
He was gonna be Floria's guy, And I was gonna
snipe Florio for him?

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Oh well, like the sniper got sniper, got sniper got sniped.
Like you know, dor the Explorer would say sniper, no sniping. Yeah,
I mean again, I know we weren't super excited about
his prospects in year one, but again, this is a
wide receiver room that has consistently been among.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
The worst in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (47:22):
They are trying to upgrade it because they understand that
they have a really good opportunity with Drake May at quarterbacks.
So it's gonna be another thing where a couple of
years down the line, we're starting to see Kyle Williams
get a bigger role in this offense. So I'll take
the shot here, all right, So now that you got sniped, Lakawan,
where do you go at twenty six?

Speaker 2 (47:39):
I'm gonna go running back Dylan Samson. He's over there
in Cleveland behind Dunkins, and I think he will have
a larger role than some people expect because Kevin Stefanci's
first year he had Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb both
have over one hundred and ninety carries. So I can
honestly see this being a one two punch that a
lot of people are just letting going under the radar.
So I'll grab him right there in that third round.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
You think, Jerome Fard, what tuning camp, gets gets pushed
to the back, like what happens.

Speaker 4 (48:05):
With Jerome Ford.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Mister Stark, I'm not feeling so well right now, man.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Dust Wow, he got foss rough.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Samson is a way better back man, and he can
add more to that passing game than Jerome Ford. That
I believe, even though Jerome Ford has his leg up
with the opportunities to playbook the experience blah blah blah.
But it's more so when it comes to who's actually
tote in that rock. Samson was literally outside the top five,
you know, running back prospects on a lot of people's
list in the fantasy streets.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
All right, okay, so Dylan Samson off the board now
that Kyle Williams has been taken out from underneath you, Florio,
where are you gonna go?

Speaker 4 (48:41):
At twenty seven?

Speaker 3 (48:42):
I'm just realizing, I know we're not like building teams here.
I don't think I've taken.

Speaker 4 (48:45):
A wide receiver yet.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
I would have change that and I'll go with Jalen Nowell,
who I really liked a lot during the pre draft process.
I liked him more than Higgins, the other Iowa State guy.
Funny enough, they end up on the same team. I
think Noel could be the future slot guy for the
for C. J. Stroud and the Texans, and it's not

(49:08):
like Christian Kirk has been the face of health. It's
funny I view the Texans as like, if Christian Kirk
goes down, I think it's Noel that's gonna get the
big bump. If Nico Collins goes down, I think it
is Higgins that gets the big bump. So uh, it's
funny to me that they kind of drafted injury replacements
for their top two receivers.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
That's how I'm looking.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
Right.

Speaker 3 (49:28):
Yeah, They're like, if you guys go down, we got
a couple of Iowa State guys could do exactly what
you do.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
All Right, I'm up at twenty eight and I had
so much fun sniping Lakwan previously that maybe I'll do
it again and I'll.

Speaker 6 (49:42):
Think, can I get this spot? That's not who I
would know. You didn't know. You didn't just say Jordan James.
I did just say Jordan James. I absolutely said Jordan
James one just because I wanted to tweak you a
little bit. But two also, again I'm not sold on
him as be like the dude necessarily in year one,

(50:04):
but as Christian McCaffrey gets older a couple of years
down the line, you start to see a bigger role.
We love running backs in a Shanahan offense.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
Again, at this point in a rookie draft, you are
just planning for the future, right, Like none of these
guys you're expected to put in your lineup on a
regular basis in year one, But you know you're three.
Who knows, maybe there's something there. So yeah, I will say,
Jordan James right here, you're up. Look on, now that
i've you, you're up.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
I'm gonna go. Brashard Smith. He landed with the Kansas
City Chiefs, and that is exactly where he needed to
be with Andy Reid, that creative offense. I mean, look,
you remember Jared McKinnon finished has a top twenty running
back that season. He had seventy targets. So I'm looking
at more so his role of what he did a
lot at SMU. At the college level, he was a
former wide receiver, so he has the natural hands. When

(50:53):
he gets an open space, he moves like a wide receiver,
but he can run and try to break tackles like
a running back as well. He's super electrics. That is
such a great pick right here.

Speaker 1 (51:02):
All right, So Richard Smith, there, who do you got
at thirty Flora?

Speaker 3 (51:06):
Lakwan's not gonna like me. This is who I thought
you were gonna take, Marcus h Jarquiz Hunter because I'll
take their back tied to Sean McVay, right like, like
you said, like in round three of a dynasty, we're
not really expecting immediate year one return. So at this range,
he's explosive and he's tied to Sean McVay, So that

(51:27):
that's enough for me.

Speaker 1 (51:29):
All Right, I'm a thirty one. You sort of tipped
your hand, Lakwan and said, I'm not I'm not gonna
do it. I'm not. I didn't even say Damian Martinez here,
just because you sort of the other one on that.
But I'll be nice. I'll leave it alone. I'm not
gonna take him. On some levels, it feels a little
bit like a reach, but I will take elk a.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Yeoman or uh and that's not a reach at all.

Speaker 1 (51:55):
Okay, cool uh and uh auto correct keeps changing it
to pick. That could be a great nickname for him,
but no, I will say him here again. The the
Titans wide receiver room is either aging or underperforming. I
mean it's not great, right, They're going to try to

(52:17):
build around cam Ward at some point, so iomin Or
could be one of those guys. It's the building blocks
in that offense. And again, a third round pick, I
don't I don't have any expectations in year one, but
if he really does work himself into a bigger role
other than you know, I feel really good about it.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
So I got to say the third round seems like
the best round, you know, at least this year rookie drafts,
because I've been trying to acquire multiple third round picks
just to get on on some of the guys that
we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (52:44):
Yeah, all right, well you were up. Can I just
can I just put in Damien Martin, I'll put it in,
go ahead, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
Max Shares. I'm going to get so much exposure in
him in best wall leagues just because I know Ken
Will will not have any full healthy season. It's just
like almost guaranteed. So I want some Damian Martinez in
year one.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Okay, so not believing in kdeb three. All right, there
we go. Floyer, you're thirty three.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
Do you want here?

Speaker 3 (53:12):
I'm gonna stop the fall a lot earlier than if
it's stopped in real life. But h Sanders for me,
I still continue to operate that. I I view him
as the best quarterback on the Browns, and I think
he starts some games in year one.

Speaker 4 (53:26):
I think he does too.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
No, I think he does, probably not Week one, But
you know, I wouldn't be totally surprised if by like Halloween,
we see.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
I wouldn't be surprised if four different people start for
them this year.

Speaker 4 (53:40):
That part too, Yeah, Like you know, uh.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
Will be fired by like week if that was the case.
If they had forty, are.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
Gonna be like a race to ten points with as
good as their defenses and as bad as their offenses.

Speaker 4 (53:54):
Well, he's just quick. He's like I'm done.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
I'm done.

Speaker 1 (53:59):
Yeah, But we could see Flacco, we could see Pickett,
we could see chadur Yeah, I mean, I guess we
could see that. I don't expect Dylan Gabriel, but I
guess that's possible.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
Look, I know I've kind of hated on the guy
on Draft Day, but did you see the video the
NFL put out that he was bird calling and he
was like that right fourth pick Cleveland Browns. And that's
like literally the exact pick he went to.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
That's funny, insane, that's funny. Now I missed that. That's
pretty good.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Got the inside scoop from a bird, that descript deliver
a bird.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
Let's about the Browns man, because remember like there was
the the unhoused guy with the great voice who told
who told Jimmy Haslim to draft Johnny Manziel And now
we have birds.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Making draft decisions? Insane?

Speaker 4 (54:46):
What is happening in Cleveland? Man?

Speaker 1 (54:48):
I got to rethink that draft process. Browns. You just
gotta gotta think again about it.

Speaker 4 (54:54):
All right.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
So now I'm at number thirty four. Yeah, this is
where things go a little bit dicey uh? At this point,
where do I go here? I think I am going
to take the shot. Maybe I go with a running
back here and I will take Kylemanong Guy.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Oh that's a name I've been seeing on the fantasy
streets pop up late.

Speaker 1 (55:25):
Yeah, Kilemanong Guy again, Like you know in Chicago right
now it's the DeAndre Swift Show. It really appears more
and more like where Shaun Johnson is just never going
to get a full opportunity in Chicago that though I
don't know, I liked him. I felt like his biggest
crime in college was playing behind Jean Robinson, Like that

(55:47):
wasn't his fault, Like, but apparently like there's just there's
just not enough juice there.

Speaker 4 (55:52):
So I'll take Mann guys. I kind of hope things
work out.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
Last couple of picks in the third round and you
can go to kind of go quickly through this fourth
round here.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
So I'm gonna go Pat Brian, I'm gonna trust Sean
Payton once again.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
You're you're putting a lot of trust that dude who
hates our fantasy team.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
I just like Pat Brian just being that he modeled
his game. He said coming up is looking and watching
Jamar Chase. So I think there's some qualities there where
he has a little wiggle to him after to catch
like Jamar Chase s. So I think, you know, that's
kind of what Sean Payton is looking for. A guy
that's tall and stature, that has the size to frame,
kind of like the Josh Reynolds and kind of like
how we have Devon Bailey, how these are taller wide receivers.

(56:31):
But he want guys that can get something out of
there to catch, but I think Pat Brian would be
that guy for him eventually in the future.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
All Right, Florida can round out.

Speaker 4 (56:38):
Round three not knocking Pat Bryan.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
Players seem to stop doing this to themselves, like I
grew up watching jamarch Okay, that doesn't mean you could
do it like watching Lebron James, you know, like like.

Speaker 4 (56:48):
I grew up watching King Jr. And I do this. Yeah, So.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Like, come on, stop putting up because fans hear that
name and they're like, this is like like slow.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
Definitely got me on the radar from when he I do.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Like Pat Bryan, though I was gonna take him here
with this pick, you continue to snipe me again, I
will go with Jalen Royals here, who I won't say
I loved as much as other fantasy people did, but
he went to the Chiefs, and look, I'm probably higher
on the Chief's receiving core than most, but the one
thing they struggled to do was stay on the field
so the Royals could get an opportunity.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
Also side note to this, Pat Bryant saying that he
grew up watching Jamar Chase.

Speaker 4 (57:32):
I mean mar Chase only three years older than you don't.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
What what are we?

Speaker 4 (57:39):
What are we talking about here?

Speaker 1 (57:40):
So anyway, around four, we don't go any deep explanation
for any of these. I'm gonna take the guy who
was the draft darling right before we got to draft day,
I would say Isaac Tesla is or Tesla I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (57:56):
No, we're not doing that, poor god, We're not.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
We are going to take him to start the fourth
round here, So lakwan, who's out do you have up next?

Speaker 2 (58:05):
I'm going Devin Neil. He's over there in New Orleans.
I definitely think, you know, Avam Kamara error is going
to see a post error. And I like how Neil
runs a little lebianbell patience in him and not the
fastest guy, but he can catch as well. So I'll
take Devin Neil.

Speaker 1 (58:18):
All right, So Neil's off the board, Floria, who got
a thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (58:21):
I'll take Tyler Shuck, who uh probably gonna start at
least half the games this year, and imagine so in
a super flex, he's got some of them, he couldn't
start all of them, he can start all real.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
I feel like he's sort of the reverse of a
lot of these guys were like, Hey, we're waiting till
year two or three to start in. Like Tyler Schuck's like,
we're gonna start you this year and maybe next year
and then well we're gonna thank you fair.

Speaker 3 (58:46):
For these Saints. They kind of got it before. He's
too old.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
Yeah, he's get.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
His own car, insurants or health insurance, right.

Speaker 1 (58:54):
He's been off his parents' health insurance for a while now. Yeah,
for sure, there go at number forty. I'm gonna say
DJ Giddons, you know, just good pick.

Speaker 4 (59:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
Look, obviously it's still Jonathan Taylor's show there in Indianapolis,
but you know, you know, at some point he's gonna
want a new contract and then everybody on spocial media's
gonna call him like a diseased rhinoceros and say don't pay.
And so then DJ Giddens gets his gets his opportunity. Lakwan,
who you got a forty one man?

Speaker 4 (59:25):
This pick?

Speaker 2 (59:26):
I'm going to go with Ali Gordon. If there is
ever an opportunity for Miami Dolphins running back to get
touches to have opportunity, I'll go Ali Gordon because I
think a lot of people are still holding on to
that twenty three season. So maybe he could tap back
into that with Mike. Who knows.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
We'll see, all right, So Ali Gordon off the board, Florida,
Who do you like at forty two?

Speaker 3 (59:50):
I'll go todaj Brooks. Look, I love Chase Brown, but
it's pretty thin behind him, and if anything happens to him,
Brooks could be uh seeing some meaningful year one.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
Touches all right? So tis Brooks off the board.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
I am. I'm looking at a tight end, and I'm
debating on which one I'm going to take. I think
I'm gonna go with Harold fannin junior year.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
That's my guy.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
He probably fell again. I have no idea what's gonna
happen with the Browns quarterback situation. And as good as
as David Joku has been, you know, I think at
some point there they're going to move on from him
to the next couple of years. So an opportunity for
fannin uh lakwan you want to can I just put
in Terrence Ferguson here for you right now? No, you never.

Speaker 3 (01:00:41):
Rams tight end, But no, I'm gonna go Wood he
marks down.

Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
That's one of your guys. I know that gets you excited.
But yeah, what he marks he got some opportunities on
the horizon.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
I can say if you hadn't taken him, he was
he wasn't gonna get past me at forty six, just
out of homerishness, he was not going to get past me.
So Florida on forty five, who do you want?

Speaker 3 (01:01:02):
Uh, that's one hundred percent who I was just about
to take. Yeah, all day, let's go. And we're at
the point now where I'm diving deep. I will take.

Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
All of the running backs.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Yeah there's not there's not Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Just because like right, oh yeah, you might get an
opportunity at this point where we're so deep that the
third round draft capital. I'll take a shot on that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
All right, all right, I'm gonna go at forty six,
I'm gonna take Trevor etn.

Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
The breath.

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
I mean, yeah, my vision, they are in the same divisions, right, No, no, no, no,
they're not. No, no, Travis and Jacksonville. Trevor's in Carolina,
one's in the NFC, the brother in the South. Just
one is NFC. One's AFC. I just I feel like,
I feel like poor Jonathan Brooks is just never going

(01:02:04):
to get on track, you know, I mean, I feel
bad for the kid.

Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
He just keeps getting hurt. You know, though she has
been great.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Rico Daudle could be a short term experiment, So maybe
there's something there for Trevor et and last two picks
the quand who you got?

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
Forty seven?

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
I'm gonna go Gunner Helms over there in Tennessee with
cam Ward. I liked a little bit of what I
saw on tape. He can definitely be developing to be
a nice little security blanket for cam Board because we
know how he utilized Elijah Arroyo.

Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
All right, so Gunner Helm off the board. Last pick
of our rookie mock draft, Florio, who do you have?

Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
I'll take ty Felton just because he's tied to koc
in that Vikings offense, So why not?

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
All right? Deep? Very cool? All right? So you go
forty eight picks that we made for rookies here. You know,
some I think we moved some guys up, some guys
fell a little bit, but I think overall pretty faithful
to kind of where ADP is on a lot of these.

Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
Guys at this point.

Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
Of course, that's gonna shift as we go through the summer,
and maybe we'll do this again at some point, just
when we have things to not talk about during the
next couple of months.

Speaker 4 (01:03:14):

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Maybe next Thursday and the floors out now, So like
I got and Or I gotta watch in the next.

Speaker 4 (01:03:42):

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):

It's literally I just don'ts that exactly, Marcus. You're gonna
watch him like years is it ninety six right now?

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):

it's got Timothy Oliphant, like all right, this, you know,
we got we got some people. So all right, I
will try to get to that after I'm done watching
Cassie and and Or trying up into the empire, so
