Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, Hey everybody, It's Thursday, August twenty first, twenty twenty five.
Welcome to the NFL Fantasy Football Show where we're taking
our talents to South Beach. It's being your Man, MG
Marcus Grand joined by Michael f Florio and Lakwan Jones.
(00:21):
That I'm going to tell you right now, I almost
screwed up that enter, almost said Michael Jones, And like Lakwan.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
F I literally almost believe that right now.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
I probably should have admitted that to the audience, but
I just felt like I needed to be open about
the whole thing. I appreciate that it is a Thursday,
or is the Kawalana call it Friday Junior? A trend
that we're trying to get sweeping the country. We're just
gonna start calling this day Friday Junior. But to help
us out into the weekend and into preseason week three,
we are joined by NFL Network reporter Cam Wolf. You
(00:52):
always see him, especially hanging around the Dolphins, but around
a lot of the teams down there in the Southeast,
and the man who I consider to be the best
friend reporter than our media appreciate.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Fresh Yeah, cam Man, it's good to talk to you again.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Man, I'm pumped to talk with you guys. It's the
best time of the year for fantasy football. You know,
I love it, and you guys are the best in
the business, so I'm glad I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Before we talk football, how how many suits do you
have that you haven't broke out yet?
Speaker 5 (01:20):
Ones I've got.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I've got four that I have not worn yet, and
I do have actually just saw my I gotta This
is gonna sound really boogie, but I got a Cruston
Taylor who's in town, who I just saw and practice,
who said he was gonna come by later. We're gonna
get a few more, so hopefully I'm up to like
eight or nine by the of the season. I wave
(01:43):
too many suits, but it's my thing. I want to
have a little bit something different every year, have a
different style and energy. I'll tell you guys, what's going
on with your favorite players and team.
Speaker 6 (01:53):
So I can't wait to see the week one fit camp.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Man.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
I mean, you've been getting swollen, so the Taylor.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Low key, that's the other part, because the aren't fitting, Yeah,
just a little bigger.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
They all of a sudden, you need to buy a
whole new wardrobe.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
The wardrobe has definitely had just quite a bit, so
switching things up, for sure, it's a good thing. Taylor
just keep saying, don't don't keep changing your body. This
is my game weight season, So no worries I'll be
back in those other suits.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
You should you should want you to keep changing because
that's keeping him in business, right like.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Keep changing.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
So we got we want to talk.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
We we got you on mostly because we wanted to
talk about the Miami Dolphins. Yeah, but we with some
other teams too. So I have a simple, simple question
for you. W t F is going on with the
Miami Dolphins right now?
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (02:50):
You can go a lot of different places there a lot.
I think this is a team that is is very
much in a fork of the road as a team.
Who are they trying to be? They're trying to change
their identity from a team that was high flying offense,
scored a lot of points, but was considered soft by
a lot of people in the league, and they want
to change that mentality.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
They've been saying the right things, but the reality is
the games are going to determine whether they're the same
old Dolphins or they're who they say they're gonna be.
You got the whole drama with Tyreek Hill in Tua
all off season, and Tyreek Hill has been in and
out of the lineup with minor injuries, and now you
got Devon h Chan dealing with some injuries.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
And I think there's a lot of concern from Dolphins
fans of are we starting to look at the beginning
of the end and so this time of years about optimism.
There is hope, but there's probably less optimism and hope
than any season I've covered in the Mica mc daniel and.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
You mentioned Tyreek Hill there. He has been a little
bit of a polarizing player on this pod. But ye,
what are your thoughts on Tyreek this season? And is
he happy there? Does he want to stay in Miami's
the guys on the future like, like what's going on
with Tyreek down there?
Speaker 5 (04:02):
It depends what day of the week it is, changes
depending on how you feel.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
I will say the time of the belief that Tyreek
Hill have a strong year, I really do. I think
that from on field perspective, in a fitness perspective, he
looks the most fit then he's looked at times last
year and even twenty twenty three. He didn't necessarily have
always the endurance he could come off the field, you know,
(04:27):
for a driver to at a time, and I think
he lost some weight and has helped him in that
Durrance perspective. And when he's been on the field, he's
looked elected. He looks like Tyreek Hill. That being said
is to off the field that always gets you with
Tyreek Hill, right, And he's been dealing with this oblique
injury for the last week. He hadn't practiced. They're hopeful
he's ready for Week one, but it's not a great
(04:48):
start for him in this projected season. I do think
he's a part of the Dolphins plans until their season
seems to be over. If they're at the trade deadline
and they're three and six, could they shopping Tyreek Possibly
for sure, But I think at this stage they're planning
for him to give them the best chance to win.
And I think two is going to throw him the
(05:08):
ball a lot, and if he's healthy, I think he
should be right around that wide receiver one range that
he's been for most of his career.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
The health and the off the field is just obviously
a little bit of a concern. To worry about.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
Now, Cam, you got to feed the fantasy streets with
this info, man. I mean a lot of folks got
drafts coming up. Is very high investment, man, And now
we're having it reports come out that Jalen Wright is injured. Now,
how banged up? And how serious is this running back
room looking right now?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Yeah, it's a concern. It's a concern of Lakwan. I'll
tell you that the depth is being tested. So for
Devon Chan, he's a cap injury. He's not going to
be at practice this week, maybe not much next week.
I'm a little concerned for week one, just because it's
a soft tissue injury. You just don't know that it's recurring.
The team says he'll play. I saw him at practice today.
He was walking around, riding the bike at times, moving
(05:59):
around well.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
He didn't have any padding or wrapping on that caf.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
He walks slow normally, so I can't tell if he's
limped or not, but he certainly looked like a guy
that's not dealing with the major injury. That being said,
with these speedy guys, those things tend to linger. So
that would be my concern with him, not if he
plays week one is does he get re injured and
that's where the depth comes at a consideration. I'll tell
(06:23):
you this, like, I think they expected more from Jalen
Wright at this stage of camp. I think that he
hasn't been the clear running back too that I think
a lot of people thought he was going to be,
to the point that I thought Ali Gordon was testing
him for some reps. And then today he got hurt
in practice. Jalen Wright did he left practice. He looked
like he was limping. He went into the medical facility
(06:43):
with trainers after. I don't know much more at this time.
We'll probably get some type of update in the next
twenty four hours. But that's another injured back. You know,
Alexander Madison, who they thought was going to be their
goal line back, already out for the year. So you
you got your first three backs already dealing with injuries.
I would imagine this is a position group they look
(07:04):
for additional helping, whether that's a trademarket or free agency
going into waiver wires. I just think you're looking at
a situation where they were already a little thin, already
has some questions of who's going to be our short
Yard is back and now these injuries put it more
into consideration. So Ali Gordon fan group is a good
good week for you guys. He ran over a dude
(07:26):
in practice and Jaguars joint practice thing and showed that
pop that maybe gives him some optimism.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
I was talking to Aaron Brewer as center.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
And he raved about him in a way that you know,
Vet's only rave when a guy is actually good. He
had some ball security issues early in camp that kept
him off the field, and Mike McDaniel's been really big
on him on doing the things when he's not touching
the ball.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
So if anything, that would be what limits him from
getting playing time.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
But right now he is the only healthy back from
the roster who is going to make the team.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Your mansion guy, Cam, if you're sitting there in a
round two devon a chan's on the board, are you
passing on them or are you taking them?
Speaker 5 (08:02):
I probably pass on them. Honestly. I think the soft
tissue injury scares me.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I think he's gonna be a great volume player when
he's on the field, But for he was already small,
I had some questions on can he fully take the
workload coming into the season with the soft tiss injury.
To me, there's too many good backs that have been
taking the second round. I'll let somebody else take the ros.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Wow, all right, that's clutch right there.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
You mentioned Tua and Tyreek and trying to get together
on the field and all this other kind of stuff.
Last year, Tua through the deep ball at maybe the
lowest rate we've seen in a while. I know they
want to be explosive. Are we going to see them
try to be more vertical this year?
Speaker 5 (08:42):
They have to run the ball better.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Like when you watch the Dolphins tape, teams play more
too high shell than any other team in recent memory.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
Against them.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Their challenge was, hey, we don't believe you can run
the ball. We're gonna put too high and stop the
deep ball.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
And they did.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
And so the offensive line's gotta be better. The running backs,
eight Chance and these other guys got to be better
to open up that deep ball, because what teams were
doing is they pressed Tyreek and Waddle off the line
of scrimmage. And at this stage of the career, they're
never going to be great getting off press. They're smaller
receivers that rely on speed. You're not all of a
sudden going to change that, And so I think the
only way we see that deep.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
All back is if that running game is better.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
So your direct derivative of how much you bet on
ta that deep ball is how much you trust this
offensive line in this running game.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
And there was this weird like day or two in
the summer where nothing was happening in football, and the
Dolphins were like, you know what, We're gonna trade John
new Smith and then we're gonna get Darren Waller out
of retirement here. Yeah, and then it feels like we
really haven't heard anything about Darren Waller, so like, should
we expect much from him this year? Does he still
look like the old Darren Waller or is he just
(09:46):
more like a complimentary.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Piece now, Yeah, Mike, I would have no expectations for
Darren wall Just being transparent, I think that he just
got on the practice field today and he did some
off to the side individual drills. They've been working him
up back to football mode. You know, he was in
good shape, but I just think football mode he wasn't
there yet. So I do think he's going to be
your starting tight end it once he's ready to speak,
(10:09):
Because they have no one else, but just talking to
some of the coaches.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
They're talking to people there. I think that it's been
a journey for him the last couple of years, and
I think that the expectation you're getting Darren Waller peak
Raiders is not realistic. I think that at this point
you're just hoping you're getting quality starting tight end reps.
And I just don't think that John neu smith impact
is coming from Darren Waller. So I think right now they're.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Just hoping to get him on the field, have him
contribute somewhat in that passing game.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
But right now I wouldn't I wouldn't see him as
a draft player.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
Will we hear any of his music at Dolphins games?
Speaker 5 (10:44):
We may, We may.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Right I'm waiting for it. He hasn't practiced much. The
Dolphins have this thing called Orange Jersey where they give
the player of the day the previous player of the
auks the next day they were in an Orange Jersey.
They get control of the music. You know, you got
guys playing and their hit list, whether it's the country
music for Dolphins Lineman often he got some track rap music,
(11:06):
you got some deep southern tracks. I was just waiting
for a full Darren Waller every single track. He hadn't
practice enough to get the Orange jerseys, So maybe we'll
have to wait for a game day to see if
you can convincej.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
So what are the expectations coming from this tight end room?
I mean, Tanner Connor has been making some waves. I mean,
how has he looked throughout camp?
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah, he's had some solid days.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
I think right now, like if they started a game
to day, tanner' connor will probably be their lead tight
end because Darren Waller is just not up to speed yet.
They got maybe two or three weeks to get him
ready to go. So I think you see Tanner Connor,
he's a blocker for them, he's a receiver. If you
remember this Dolphins offense before John new Smith, I'd imagine
that's what you're going to see early in the season
where the Titans is a part of the office but
(11:53):
not a key part of the offense.
Speaker 6 (11:55):
Right.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
I think JOHNA.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Smith kind of unlocked that role for them and they
just don't have that player yet. So I'd say the
Tanner Connor is probably gonna be a guy who maybe
gets a goal line touchdown or two early in the season,
maybe a few catches, but I just don't see him
as that third weapon they've been looking for in that
passing game outside of Tyrek Lall.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
So, Mike McDaniel came in kind of the boy wonder.
He was very different than everybody else. I mean, he
kind of looks like a nerdy accountant sort of guy,
but you know, hipop all this kind of stuff. Yeah,
feels like the act has worn thin. How stable is
Mike McDaniel's job down there?
Speaker 5 (12:31):
Cool? Not the most stable.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
I would say, I don't know, like one to ten
what he would be on the proverbial hot seat, But
I do think he feels the pressure, Like this is
a Dolphins team that put a lot of money into
his roster. You know you paid to you pay Tyreek,
you paid Waddle, you paid and traded Jalen Ramsey. You
know you gave Mike and Daniel and I sense yourself
all the event on this core. And if you're going
(12:56):
into now you're going into your four no playoff wins,
that starts to become a little bit redundant. You know, yes,
you revive to his career, but what does that meant
as far as wins? And I think that that's really
been The focused point when we talk to people locally,
is hey, what's the next level? How can we get
us over from a ten and seven decent team to
(13:19):
one that could actually make some noise And just telling
you transparently watching this team in camp, I don't think
they're better talent wise, So if they're gonna do it,
it's not going to be in my view because they're
a more talented team. It's going to be because maybe
they had some addition by subtraction, which is what they
believe with some people leave in the building and that
they feel like they're a better and tougher team relying
(13:41):
on some young new leaders.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
So that's going to be their route, And to me,
that's a show me route.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
I can't I'm not gonna be able to see that
because I can't tell you, hey, your secondary it is
better than last year, your offensive line is.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Better than last year. There's no how to prove it
to us. So certainly a big question mark.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Yeah, because he's just different. We love his quotes, he
think he's funny. He's done something different, so we like
to see him succeed.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
But obviously I like I like Mike McDaniel too, he's
fun for the media.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
He brings a lot of offense and incredible usage.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
For fantasy football owners, like any Dolphin player the last
few years, you're probably pretty happy.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
I just think the thing for.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Him is is the control, the discipline, the accountability, some
of the question marks. How does he handle those? You know,
owner Stephen Ross been supportive of them. You know, if
they go out and have a similar season. I don't
know if they're in a rush to run him out.
But if things go bad, like really bad, like we're
sitting at the trade deadline, should we trade Tyriek type?
(14:38):
I would see that being you know, Mike McDaniel, you
know's last round.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
From your perspective, what would be a successful season for
the Dolphins, Because we talk on this pod like do
they have to win a playoff game for him to
be safe and stuff like.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Yeah, So I think the it's safe and success is
a different question to me. I think they're not exactly
the same. I don't know that he's at a playoff
winner bus in a savior job scenario. I do think
they would need a playoff win for Dolphins fan base
for ownership to feel like this is a really good
year now if they're nine and eight, make the playoffs
(15:13):
and lose a wild card game or miss the playoffs barely.
I don't know if that's necessarily hey, we're pulling the
acts out. I think there's a middle ground there that
they can fall in there. I think when you start
looking at losing records, a worse record from last year,
then I think that's where you start to think about, hey,
it's just threatening his job. So at least my view
of it, there's a scale of playoff win or more
(15:34):
very happy middle ground playoff loss or just missed playoff,
and then anything worse than that we start worrying about.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Is this then Yeah, definitely been one of the more
interesting teams this offseason for sure. Gonna take a quick break,
come back more with Cam Wolf talk about some of
the other teams down there in the southeastern part of
the country. Stick around for more on the NFL Fantasy
Football Podcast. Back talking with NFL Network reporter Cam Wolffudge
(16:05):
got his thoughts on the Dolphins, but he covers more
than just that, handling a lot of the teams down
there in the Southeast. So I wanted to kind of
branch out a little bit. You mentioned the Dolphins doing
joint practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Travis Hunter has
been one of the more intriguing names, not just in
fantasy but in the NFL in general. Right we're looking
to see him do something that you know, most of
(16:25):
us have never seen in our lifetime, a guy playing
both ways significantly. For you, having seen this team and
been around them, do you have a sense of what
Jacksonville's plan is for Travis Hunter.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
I do.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
I've spent a couple of days in practice with them
in Jacksonville a day year. From what I've heard talking
to people there, he is going to be a primary,
full time offensive player. I think you're going to see
him play receiver eighty plus percent of the reps. You know,
whatever the normal break is for breathers, i'd expect, and
I'd see him starting on defense as a situational player
(16:58):
and kind of earning more reps year gets on his goal.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
He made clear to me when I was down there
he was to be one. Eventually.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
They're not starting him off that way. He's been getting
most of the reps on offense. They feel like they
can control how much he can impact the game on offense.
In a way they can't do on defense, and so
you're going to see him be the primary compliment to
Brian Thomas Junior in that passing game for the Jacks
offense and then defense. I think you'll see third down packages.
(17:27):
I think you'll see some situations whereas obvious pass downs
and and then certainly if he proves he can handle
both of those throughout the season, then maybe you start
seeing him get some real starter reps there. But I
would be fully confident drafting him as if he will
be playing offense most games.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Yeah, that's exactly what use fantasy players who have been
drafting Travis Hunter want to hear. Yes, another big wide
receiver that first round, second round is Drake London, and
we all know that he has the talent. The john
has the talent there. We think Kyle Pitt's at one
point had the talent, but they haven't had The quarterback
is Michael Penis Junior. The Falcons answer finally at the
(18:10):
most important position.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
I'm not sure yet. I won't. I wish I could
give you a definitive yes, he's the guy, because but I've.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Seen it so many times where the young quarterback Joe's
promised for three or four games and you get sold
in and then all of a sudden, he's not that.
I'll tell you this, Like the connection he has with
Drake London is incredible. Like I was their last camp
and it's at a different level like he like, I
think we understated this during the year. He didn't throw
to Drake like outside of training camp until December, and
(18:41):
so like there was like just no chemistry and they
were still having incredible success. I was down there for
a couple of days in joint practice and it was
just like these dudes have been thrown together for ten years.
And so I don't know what Michael Pennix is he
gonna lead the Falcons to when there's East South title,
it's gonna be a top ten quarterback.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
I don't know what Michael Penix is going to be
this year, but I.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Feel pretty good that he's going to be throwing the
ball a lot in Drake London and that's going to
be a great connection. So, you know, I think Michael Pennix,
the thing that I saw in camp was he can
still be a little inconsistent with his accuracy, and so
you just want him to continue to get those reps
to where you know, you're thinking about him as a
sixty five plus completion percentage guy instead of a fifty
five to sixty.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
Percent completion percentix guy.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
And I think that's really the difference between him being
you know, a solid quarterback to hey, this is a
guy that can help us compete with Baker for this division.
So I like Drake London a lot in this offense.
Obviously Vjon is going to have an incredible year in
that offense as well. And you know, I think that
most of the offense will funnel through those two guys.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
I mean, if you want to get deep size and
eye rolls from fantasy people just mentioned the name Kyle Pitts,
but Penis has talked him up in trading camp.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
I read that they are golfing buddies. Yes, just have that.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Is this finally the year, like you gets because look,
he had a great rookie year. Is this the year
we see him get back closer to what we saw
that first season?
Speaker 5 (20:03):
This is approaching? Is Joe Flacco elite range like this?
Every year?
Speaker 3 (20:10):
One of these years, I don't know if it's this year,
but one of these years, Kyle fits is going to
have another elite season. I'll tell you this, like they
I was there in camp, they are not playing the
trade Coppins. I know that was a big thing throughout
the offseason. He's they planned for him to be a
part of the roster. He's looked as healthy as he
(20:31):
has in a couple of years. I'm not sure if
he's one hundred percent fully healthy. I can get anybody
to tell me like completely completely, But he didn't move
well better than he did.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
Last year for sure.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Like last year you could clearly see him laboring throughout
camp at this time of year.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
This year, he's moving pure.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
I think the question I will have is like, how
is his natural fit? Is he still that explosive, deep
seen player that he was early in his career.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
I saw like very sprinkles of that.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
I didn't see the consistency, and I tend to think
that maybe translates into the season where you see spurts
of coll pits instead of the consistent, you.
Speaker 5 (21:10):
Know, thousand yard year that he had.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
So I would be a little concerned betting on him
as a tight end one, but sure if you got
a chance to get some upside at tight end two
because of his talent, I would see a huge, huge
issue with that.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
So you are not buying a ticket to the circus
and that sounds amazing.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
I'm not just simply because I'm you gotta show it
to me, And I just feel like, especially with this health,
I've got to see him go through a full season
healthy before I can trust you.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
My gracious tight end started spots to one fits.
Speaker 6 (21:44):
So there's a guy that's been going under the radar
for a lot of fantasy drafts just being that he
picked up an injury in the beginning of camp. It's
a shoulder injury with Darnell Mooney. Has there been any
update on his status and what does it look like
for him for the season opener.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Yeah, I talked to some people in Atlanta a week ago.
The plan is for him to be back week one.
We won't see him in the practice field for next
week or two. Uh, he's dealing with that, you know,
that injury there, and I think I think the thing
for him is like does he get to one hundred
percent by week one?
Speaker 5 (22:14):
I think he'll play.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
It may be similar honestly to Devon h Chan where
different injuries because a chance got a soft tissue and
you know Mooney is more structural, you know, with the
high end goal. I think that you look at like
Mooney as if he's there and he's eighty percent or
ninety percent, but playing week one, do you feel confident
that you can draft him in that even if he's
(22:36):
never one hundred percent, you feel good about him? Like
that would be the question I would have, because I
think he's gonna play and I think he'll be fine.
I don't think it's a thing that's going to reoccur
with him. I just don't know if he's going to
be one hundred percent by week one. So that's kind
of talking to people there. They're planning for him to
be out there rehabs going, well, you're not going to
see much practice time, so he's gonna be ready like
(22:58):
week one, not like this week, and so that's gonna
be where he Maybe if you're drafting him that first
month the season might not be guns blazing, and so
I wouldn't know that I draft him with.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
The idea he's gonna be my starting line from the jump.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
But he had over one thousand yards last year with
two different quarterbacks, one that was playing very poorly for
much of the year and so I don't see a
reason why he can't put up similar numbers this year
once he once he's.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Open over in Carolina.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Bryce Young's short career has kind of been an interesting
studying patience for a lot of us. Yeah, you know,
after year one, people were ready to declare him a
bust and that the Panthers completely screwed this whole thing up.
And then by the end of last year, there's a
lot of conversation of like, all right, maybe there really
is something there because we started to see him develop
heading into year three. I mean, have you seen Bryce Young?
(23:50):
What what does he look like? What are the expectations
for him this year?
Speaker 5 (23:54):
Yeah? I did.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
I did two practices with the Panthers early this year
and I did their preseason game. One thing that made
that was made clear to me, like Bryce Young, it's
the most confident he's been in that building. And the
reason I say confidence is because that's been a big
issue with him. There was times he'd be around the
facility he wouldn't be super confident.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
He would show poor body language, like.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
He just wouldn't be the the suiting Alabama Bryce Young
that he was, and that would have an impact on
his play impact on the field, and this year has
just been different, walking around with a different strut.
Speaker 5 (24:26):
He's talking trash to you know, j C.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Horn in practice, like things that Bryce Young just didn't do,
like who are you type vibes and it was cool.
I talked to their OC Brad Isaack and Camp and
I was just like, hey, we keep hearing different Bryce
Younger like tell me, like what is real about it?
Speaker 5 (24:43):
And he was like, I'll give you this. He was like,
in the.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Spring, we challenged Bryce Young to be a different type
of leader. He's like, he's typically a one on one
type of guy. He did like the embarrassed to do.
He wants to pull you off to the side and
say he ran the wrong route. He was like, I
need you to lead the entire team that way. I
need you to tell people there in front of the group.
Speaker 5 (25:01):
And he came back.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
In the first week of practice two or three times
he was calling out some of the young receivers from
the mistakes in front of the team and he was
going through plays and drawing him up on the board
in front of the team, something he hadn't done in
his first two years there.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
So does that translate to him being all of a sudden.
I don't know, but I.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Do think it's a notable To me, it's a notable
change in his confidence, the way he's moving around the building.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
I do think there's.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
Something to be said about having the same same scheme
you're going into for the second year for a guy
who's a comfort timing, feeling based passer. And I do
think like them getting another weapon in Ted Roman Millin
is going to help a lot. Like last year, it
was the big offensive lineman here for them. They win
and got Robert Hunt and Damian Lewis and it went well.
They were running the ball well in the second year,
(25:48):
and they still didn't have the receiver. Now you get
tedre rovand Millin, you add him into the bunch, and
he's flashed number one potential and I think you kind
of see a little bit more of that point guard
mentality for Bright. So I've had people say they could
be a sneaky walk our team, and you know, I
can see the elements because I think people forget how
good they were on the ground late last year, which
(26:10):
is why I think Tuba Hubard's going to have a really,
really good year for Carolina. I think that they they're
even better as a pass blocking I mean run black
com unit up front and with more versatility in.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
That past game.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
I think that's going to open up lanes for them
to still be that run first team. So I think
Bryce has a good year. I think he's a starter
of the whole year. I'm curious to see how his
connection is with t mac. They had times in camp
where McMillan was struggling to get off press coverage and
he was a mitigatet, like, really struggled with physicality. The
week I was there, he responded really well, and so
(26:41):
I think there's some eagerness to see when he gets
there Week one. You know they're playing the Jags funny
enough taxon Campbell and Travis Hunter.
Speaker 5 (26:48):
If they're jamming him off the line of scrimmers. Can
he get off press?
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Can he win in ways that he didn't have to
win in college because they're playing.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
A lot of bail coverage. I think that's still a
big question.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
But if he can get over that, I think you
know he's their number one target for Bryce and Bryce
has a much better here.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
And you just talked a lot about McMillan and how
they're going to be facing the Jaguars Week one. Hunter
and McMillan, I feel like are always going to be
tied together. So if you had to pick rookie season,
who has more receiving yards Hunter McMillan.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
So that's interesting. I actually talked to McMillan that we can.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
I asked him about the battle between Hunter, and he
made a joke that I think is relevant here.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
He said that since he's played both side, I hope
he's more fatigued than me.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
And I thought that was funny because obviously t mack
is just playing one side. And I think that also
because he has a better rouse to targets because there's
no Brian Thomas Junior on the Carolina roster. If I
was handicapping it, I probably would say I think that
McMillan will have more yards to trayors Hunter, and that's
no knock against Travis. I think some of that's just opportunity.
(27:55):
You know, number one receiver in the offense versus number
two receiver in the offense. I think they're both going
to be similar production offenses, probably middle of the pack
in Jacksonville and Carolina. And so to me, you go
with the guy with the opportunity there, but I think
both of them have strong mers.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
So cam, let me know outside of Tetroll McMillan, has
there been another pass catcher. This includes the tight ends
like Jalen Kolker Dtavian Sanders, like who's been stepping up
as that second option in that offense.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Yeah, I think they had Actually some flashes were Hunter
Renfroe was their second best receiver in camp, which is
crazy enough. I talked to their general manager, Dan Morgan,
and he was the guy he couldn't stop raving about.
He was like, he's the guy that shocked me enough
to change how I went about like evaluating my wide
receiver room. And then he got hurt and he's been
hurt for like the last two or three weeks with
(28:46):
the I think it's a soft tissue injury, and we
haven't seen much of them, and so I don't know
if he comes back and can regain some other promise.
But it was very interesting to me that they were
talking about Renfro and maybe him filling a lot of
that void that maybe Adam Thielan was feeling. And then
it made me wonder, Hey, let's just make Adam feeling it,
(29:07):
you know, expectable, you know, especially where there's a team
that he used to play with that is looking for
a receiver. But this isn't be connecting dots and trying
to figure out what makes sense. But I think you
gotta you got to have you know, renfro healthy, you
got to have exaber Lagat, who by the signs of
it is having a nice camp. You know, he has
some issues with drops. I don't know if he'll ever
be a thousand, you know, plus yard receiver camp. But
(29:29):
can he be a solid warver two wide receiver two
for Ted rovind million. I think that's the hope. If
there's enough there, I think you'll see a little bit
more of the wide receiver by committee. You mentioned Jalen
Cocher and Jajevion Sanders having nice camps, But from a
fantasy football perspective, I don't know if any of those
guys are moving the needle enough for me to to
to invest in any of them. I think for me,
(29:51):
I'm I'm oning Chuba and I'm owing tedor roband million
on this roster.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
That's probably it.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
So Cam Lakwan always says, I like to stir the
pot on the show. I have to ask you who's
the n L M V P O Tani or swar.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
It's sworeber Man.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
I just saw give up like five runs, So I
don't even know what the picture advantage he would have
over Sworeber at this point, you know, with the e
r A almost at five. So I just think that
Swarber is taking over the second half of the year
with how he's killing homers.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
He's leading the in Allen homers, leading the Allen.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
RBIs just just changing the way that the Phillies play baseball.
Speaker 5 (30:32):
He's the leader of that team.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
They have a better record than the Dodgers currently, And.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
I was gonna say that somebody else are What I.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Was gonna say is, don't let Michael left Florio distract
you from the fact that the Mets are five and
twelve in August, Like that's what's happening.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
You know. As the resident Phillies fan here, I got
my red October month. I love to see both Mets
misery and that.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
Hey, I'm just saying, I don't know if you guys
want to run into us in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Again, Honestly, if I was a Mets fan, I would
just make sure we make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Yeah one right now. It hasn't been a very fun
two months as a Mets fan.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Well, I know the Dodgers and Phillies do have I
think one big series coming up. I think later this
either later this month or early next month, something like that,
So that's gonna be really key in terms of the
NL standings. That should be fun though. Yeah, looking forward
to that as well. But Cam dude, always appreciate it. Man,
It's always good knowledge, and we always love having you
on because we know you sort of look at it
kind of from our perspective as well. We know you're
(31:46):
a big fantasy guy, so man, we appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Do you have your Week one assignment yet? Do you
know where you're gonna be?
Speaker 5 (31:52):
It will be at the Battle Ohio.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
That is where I'm at, Cleveland, Cincinnati, So just got
it a couple of days ago.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
No store, so I won't have that buzz. But you know,
Joe Blacko, Joe Joe Burrow.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
And given how I've looked at the Bengals defensive preseason,
it might.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
Be the first one to fifty wins.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
A big week for all of those, all those Browns
and Bengals, So maybe we're talking about how many Browns
and Bengals you're starting week one?
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (32:20):
Who you Joe Burrow?
Speaker 5 (32:25):
Ooh see, Joe Burrow takes risks that I do not tell.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
I just think that because of his risk taking, my
consistency is better because he has more misses.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
He has more flat out misses.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Because the doing though, And I tell that Joe has
a stylist that is putting them into stuff that maybe
he wouldn't normally wear. Everything I wear is picked out
by me, and so yeah, that's something that is my style.
Whereas you know, I think Joe sometimes wears stuff for
a reaction and maybe some some pictures and some some
(32:57):
some sponsors and whatnot.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
I got this stuf for all that stuff that Gala
isn't necessarily made for like regular people.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
You know, I can imagine my boss's eyes. If I
come in with a backless suit.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Go ahead and clock out.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
That might that might be my last game game. I
don't think the fashion.
Speaker 6 (33:21):
Come on, you gott to flex the back off, pull
that off.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
I also think it would help in those septembers in Miami.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
You know, list keep getting the back cool.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Whatever tips I can get. Maybe Joe's got the right, idea.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
That's great, Hey, cam Man, we appreciate it. Man, be good,
take care. Hopefully we get your back on here soon.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Absolutely appreciate you. Fellas draft All right.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Hey, that's cam Wolf.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Canna take a quick break, come back, talk about players
we love in the late rounds of drafts. Stick around
for more of the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast. Thanks to
Cam Wolf for stopping by. Of course, be sure to
check about all year long on NFL Network go follow
him on the social media's as well.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Best stress reporter at the network.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
By hands down, no disrespect to any of our other.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
No stylist, no stylist, no stylists. It's all hand picked
by cam Wolf himself. All right.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
By the way, it's time to see who will deliver,
presented by Uber Eats. So when we get to the
guys we love in the later rounds on Monday, we
did the players that we love in rounds five through eight.
On Wednesday it was players in rounds nine through twelve,
So we figured might as well round it out with
those last picks in your draft, those upside dark throws
(34:39):
in a lot of situations and talk about the you know,
the guys that we love there round thirteen through sixteen.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
So LQO, I'm looking at the list. It's an oldie
but goodie in the lab.
Speaker 6 (34:49):
Hey yeah, man, with all the basic distractions and chaos
going on in the fantasy streets, the overnight revolution for
Chris Rodriguez going against JCM, a kill bill carving up
those defenses. It's Austin Eckler, the person that Florio has
in his hand right now, and I love grabbing him
in the fourteenth round. And I'm actually surprised he's still
(35:11):
this cheap man because when we look at last season
and the games that Brian Robinson was not available, he
averaged fifteen Fantasy points per game, So he still has
that RB one juice if given the opportunity and getting
the ball. So I do think that him going in
the fourteenth round it kind of just disputes all that
JCM and Chris Rodriguez mess where you're just gonna get
planned to the guy who's shown up and shown out
(35:32):
last season. I mean six point five yards per touch,
which was first among all running backs that had a
minimum of one hundred touches. So he's still able to
get loose and get out there upfield. So there's plenty
of PPR upside with such a safe, reliable floor. So
I think his role remains as the pass catcher out
of his backfield. So he is great value there in
that late round.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, I think so too. I don't think his role
changes at all. Right, he's pretty much locked in. It
was a battle for who was going to take kind
of those other downs, which I'm gonna leap prog you
here because I like Jackry Krossky Merit Hey, because here's
the thing.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Basically, Dan Quinn is sold.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Brian Robinson, Hey, man, let't you just just take a
couple of days off, just want.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
To clock out.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
We'll call you when we need you. They are very
much trying to move Brian Robinson JUNR. So it appears
that his tenure in Washington is over working lands.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
That remains to be seen.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Obviously, what j CM did in the last preseason game
got everybody all excited.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Uh. You know, a lot of a lot of Bill jokes,
a lot.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Of you know, beautiful Bill, till Bill, a lot of
Bill jokes for for j CM. I like kill Bill
the best and it does it does seem well, I
don't know, see the way Bill went out in that movie, like.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Bill. Bill didn't make it. Bill didn't make it through
the end of the movie. I'm just saying he was
not a good person. He was not.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
But the point being, j c M right now playing well,
looks like he has the inside track to getting that
starting job. So the upside is there and right now,
aside from the sharps and the degenerates, I think for
most people, the news in the ADP hasn't quite caught up,
so you can still get him in this later period,
(37:18):
and then you could be walking into a starting running back,
at least a two down back in an offense that
is emerging.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Would still like for you guys to make up with
Terry McLaurin, But in the meantime, things are looking up
for JCM. So I felt like I had to just
piggyback onto the office.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
No, that makes sense with that, I like your picks better.
The one thing I don't think that's gonna talk about
with Eckler is like, what if he gets some goal
line work this year? He was really effective for years
at it. Like, I like they're both great picks. I
like them more than I like all of your guys'
picks more than mine, by the way, but Marquis Brown
was mine because, like he's on the Chiefs, he's a
(38:00):
proven deep threat and he's going as a complete afterthought.
Even with the news of the Rashid Rice suspension that
we know Marquis Brown now is going to have a
period where he's going to be a top two wide
receiver on this team. His ADP hasn't moved at all,
so I understand he hasn't really been out there a
lot this summer. He's back at practice now though remember
(38:21):
all the rave reviews Mahomes was giving him last year.
So just when we're talking this late in drafts, I
think he brings more upside than a lot of the
receivers in this range.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
I think the biggest thing for Marquis Brown is just
staying healthy. Like I think if he stays healthy, he's
gonna get those deep shots, He's gonna get those targets.
And you're right, the fact that the news of the
Rashi Rice suspension, whatever it's going to be, hasn't coincided
with you know, Markuise Brown moving up in ADP, Like
I haven't figured that out. But take advantage of the
(38:52):
situation while you absolutely can let's go back for another round.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
Who you like, HELQ give me Pat Brian c He's in.
And I'm going to be very loud about this because
I was very hyped about him before the draft even started.
And to see him get this role now as the
Broncos wide receiver two, you best believe that is not
a bo Nick's reference, but you best believe he's going
to be on the field with opportunity. And when you
(39:16):
look at what he did in college, man, he is
always knocked for his lack of separation, his lack of speed. Okay,
but his football IQ is so underrated. Where he knows
where to be to have short hands and look, he
has the skill to basically create that separation without speed.
And I mentioned that and compare that to my old
friend Cooper Cup. He's not exactly the most fastest guy
(39:39):
out there, but he's able to know where to be
on the field. And him stepping into this wide receiver
two role with Sean Payton, he's all bricked up about him.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Man.
Speaker 6 (39:48):
You see how excited he gets when he talks about
Pat Bryan. He is his Michael Thomas two point zero.
And he's going so late in drafts that folks are
not waking up that, hey, this can actually be something
here where they're going to have a wide receiver to
actually get funneled some type of targets.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
We got a new slant boy. Is that what it is?
Speaker 1 (40:05):
A new slant boy in a chill He's listening. Okay,
So I got I got a couple of questions for you.
First of all, because part of the reason that he
moves up in the pecking order is because the Broncos
traded Devon val New Orleans. I know you were a
big Valley guy. Are you still a big valley guy
with him down in New Orleans? Maybe catching passes?
Speaker 6 (40:26):
Like how we about to lace this together? Because absolutely
I've been telling people like in bestball leagues like Davon Vley,
Devon Vley, Devon Vley, because I did think he was
going to lock up this wide receiver two role because
he is damn good as well. But obviously Sean Payton
still got some type of pool over there in New
Orleans to be able to get the compensation he got
for him. But I do think that just shows that
(40:46):
he is actually a good player in his role and
being that he is a big target, big body, target
with shorthands as well. We saw flashes with him and
bow Knicks earlier in the season last year when Josh
Reynolds went out, So I do think this was a
trade that actually he has some opportunity to shake up
that wide receiver room in New Orleans.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
The other question for you, and this is just me
asking because I saw recently Sean Payton hyping up Troy Franklin,
like is this a thing?
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Or Troy Franklin like the new Marvin Mims.
Speaker 6 (41:15):
I think Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin are going to
be deployed in this offense as weapons. They're gonna be
sprinkled at times when they need that pop, big play.
Troy Flanklin had a good camp, but I don't think
he is as good as Pat Brian because I don't
think Troy Franklin is the one that kind of pushed
this Devon Belet trade. So I do think that you
have to be a little cautious in drafts just because
(41:35):
you're hearing the name over and over, like, for God's sake,
Pat Brian towards the defensive the defensive player of the
year last year. In practice, when you see reports like that,
you're like, who is this guy? So Pat Brian's the
guy you should be targeting if you're going to be
getting anything outside of Sutton in that wide.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
Receiver ro all right, that's cool, Uh Florida, Who do
you like? Coming back in the late rounds?
Speaker 4 (41:54):
People are gonna call me a homer, But Joshua Palmer
is absolutely free right now. Like on Fantasy pros ADP,
he's like the wide receiver seventy three, which means in
a lot of drafts he might not get drafted. But
speak like like I people who have been at Bills
camp and stuff talking to them. There's a lot of
pre like like Coleman is getting a lot of praise,
(42:17):
but so is Palmer, and I think they're both cheap
enough where you could get both of them if you want.
Or you if you miss out on Coleman, you throw
a dart on Palmer, maybe you just like Stevie Johnson digs.
Palmer is leading the Bills in receiving yards and touchdowns
this year, and he is a better separator than anyone
the Bills had last year, especially on deep targets. So
(42:40):
josh Allen has his like go up and get it
guy in Palmer, but uh in Coleman. But if he
has someone that's creating consistent separation that and the thing
is Shakira is a slot guy. Kinkaid is a slot guy.
The Bills are desperately looking for anyone who could win
out wide. So I think both Coleman and Palmer are
going to get ample opportunities. And look, if Palmer was
(43:02):
on like twenty other offenses, I wouldn't care about him.
But he's with Josh Allen, you know, so like on
a team that has a bunch of wide receiver targets
up for grab. So if we're talking about late round
dart throws, uh to me that that is one that
I like to throw.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
I'm curious because I look, you know, last year, Khalis
Shakir had one hundred targets, the only guy that was
even sort of near that, right, So you got Shakir,
you got Coleman, you got Palmer. They're still gonna get
some to Kinkaid. Maybe something knocks James Cook's gonna get
Is there a hundred target guy on this roster right now?
Speaker 4 (43:36):
I think Shakiir, if he stays healthy, is definitely one
hundred target guy. One of the other two outside water receivers.
I think they're the only other players with a realistic
chance of maybe Kincaid if he stayed healthy and like
Knox got hurt, But I don't want to bank on that.
But I do think if one of these two outside
wide receivers is like takes over as the clear cut
(43:57):
top outside guy, I think they would have a hundred tiark.
Speaker 6 (44:00):
I gotta ask you, though your boy been back in
the building, a familiar face has been getting visits, and
that's mister Gabriel Davis. Now if he gets put into
the picture again, are you changing your tune on Bomber?
Speaker 4 (44:12):
No, because Greg I was a great day. Gabe Davis
does not. So I think Davis is like what Coleman
is right now, Like I don't know. I I think
he would come in because the familiarity and like be
a really good depth piece because after those top three,
(44:34):
like Curtis Samuel's on the roster bubble, Elijah Moore's on
the roster bubble, they are kind of thin behind those threes.
So I think he would be more depth. But he's
got to find it home somewhere, right, Like I think
he's visiting Pittsburgh at some point like like someone's gonna
sign it doesn't.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Move This Wars of a couple of years ago were.
Speaker 6 (44:52):
Like, yes, those are great times.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Every day you would log onto Twitter and like fantasy
folks was just arguing about Gabe Davis.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Man, it was just.
Speaker 4 (45:01):
Gave, this isn't even me being a Bills fan. Has
maybe the best playoff performance ever. He had two hundred
yards and four touchdowns and then did nothing.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Which is the start of the argument, right. It was
like he had that huge game of the players. Everybody's
like he's starting a corner. Josh Allen loves him, He's
gonna be and like that was like kind of the
last we really saw.
Speaker 4 (45:23):
Two touchdowns and under two minutes of the final in
the thirteen second game, like it was. It was remark
I remember being like this guy is going to be
a stud, no doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
Yeah, that's that's that started the wars. There was lots
of doubts about it, lots of doubts about it. My
guy is Braylan Allen, and we talk about players for whom,
you know, the the draft knicks, the nerds, the degenerates
like us have kind of jumped in on and are
reaching for a little bit, whereas the news maybe hasn't
(45:54):
trickled down to everybody else.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
Braylan Allen feels like one of those guys.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
I think what we have to do is sort of
adjust our thought process about the Jets backfield to understand
that it's probably going to be a two man backfield.
Right A couple of years ago, when the Jets drafted
Breeze Hall, we thought, Okay, this guy has workhorse potential.
The Jets have shown us over the last couple years
that they don't really feel that way. Maybe it was
the knee injury that has sapped something out of Hall.
I don't know, but for whatever reason, the Jets have
(46:21):
really been telling us they don't feel that way about
Breece Hall. And the guy who looks poised to take
advantage of that right now is Braylan Allen. We saw
him in the preseason game get a lot of opportunity.
The reports out of camp have been very good, and
it really does seem like Tanner Ingstrom really wants to
use both of these backs right now. Again, hanging around
(46:42):
somewhere around fourteen fifteen, a late round guy who looks
like he's going to get a lot of snaps, get
a lot of opportunity. You know, I don't know how
much he's going to catch the ball out of the
backfield necessarily, but he's going to get He's going to
get touches. And so to get a guy with that
potential workload that late in the dres feels like a steal. Again,
the people who've been drafting for months have already sort
(47:04):
of recognized it. I think for the folks who were
just sort of waking up and logging on, you can
find yourself a really really good.
Speaker 4 (47:10):
Value in the I don't get why he hasn't moved up,
like he just kind of has stayed the same despite
having a big workload in the press. But the thing is,
I think both Jets running backs could be fine because
the Jets are gonna be top five in running plays,
Like they're they're going to run the ball endlessly as
long as the game script allows them to.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
In my opinion, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (47:34):
Like I don't think it shifted because the Breess Hall
like revolution is a little too loud right now, Like
we have people taking him off the board like very
early in the draft.
Speaker 4 (47:43):
Like I'm in a draft right now and traveon Henderson
went over him, RJ. Harvey, Pacheco, Camara, all like Breece
Hall is still on the board and all of those
guys are gone, and.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
I think that's I think that's an overreaction in the
other way, like I think people are overreacting too much
to if I'm two.
Speaker 4 (48:00):
Picks away, if Briese is there in the sixth round,
I'm grabbing.
Speaker 6 (48:03):
Oh yeah, it's if he's in the fourth round, I
might think about it. Like in those rounds that's where
Turvyon Henderson and r J Rvy that you're speaking about.
They're living and breathing there, and there's some really good
wide receivers there as well, like a tet Row McMillan
that I rather would probably have than a Breese Hall.
But if he's dropping anywhere, like further and further down,
of course, I'm going to take that.
Speaker 4 (48:24):
This is a he would be if he made two
picks away, it would be the second to last pick
in the sixth round. I'm like, I'd be crazy not
to take him there.
Speaker 6 (48:33):
Yeah, I do think it's a little overreaction.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
I mean, a fourteen team Best Ball draft right now,
and I got him at the end of the third round,
So I feel I.
Speaker 6 (48:45):
Think Rank took him in the second round. That's why
I was just saying.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
No One for years.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
He's got me to come around a little bit on
him this year, not to that level, but late third
round in a fourteen teamer.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
I feel okay about it.
Speaker 6 (49:02):
I think a bold hot take is that he has
less than two hundred carries and I think he's just
primarily just going to have to live as a pass
catcher out of that backfield. So I think his ceiling
might actually be like in that ORB two range. Like,
I don't see RB one in his future at all
this season because Braylan Allen can also catch the ball.
He's also found better holes and better success in between
(49:25):
the tackles. Outside the tackles, He's found success in the
red zone as well. So it's like everything Breece Hall
can do, Braylon Allen has shown us that he can
do it or do it better. So I think that's
their hammer out of that backfield.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Yeah, I mean, I'm curious see how this thing sort
of works out, But I do think I.
Speaker 2 (49:40):
Think we're undervaluing h. B.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
Allen, But I think we're also we've also, yeah, we've
also undervalued Breece Hall at this point too, like it's
gone too far.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
Stop the insanity.
Speaker 4 (49:51):
So anyway, my hot take is justin Fields leads them
in rushing touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (49:56):
I don't think I don't really think that's great.
Speaker 6 (49:59):
That is a top five season right there.
Speaker 5 (50:01):
We need that.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
We need that anyway. That was Who will Deliver, presented
by Uber Eats. When football makes you hungry, get game
day deals on Uber Eats, the official on demand delivery

on any Kyle Pitts.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
I love that.
Speaker 6 (50:25):
I'm changing my tune about Devon a Chan though I
got a draft coming up this.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
Weekend, and well a lot of good Miami Dolphins news
from him, but also some I think insight on you know,
Travis Hunter on the Carolina Panthers and Ted McMillan. A
lot of good stuff there from from and not a
VP guy. Yeah you you love that argument grenade. I saw,
(50:51):
I saw what you were doing there. Just lobbying argument Grenade.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Stirring the pot once again.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
Florida he's only he's only one home run back of Shoreber.
And he also pitches every fifth day. I've never seen
the short being know, throw a pitch. I'm just saying
he doesn't even play the field.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
I mean, neither.
Speaker 4 (51:09):
A baseball player, doesn't own a baseball glove.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Oh, baseball here in August. That's great. You gotta get
on board, out cut, we gotta get you on board.
Speaker 6 (51:19):
I know Darrin Strawberry is still playing.
Speaker 4 (51:21):
You have to be like a Padres fan, though, I
don't do that.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
No, don't do that. I just ad you, I know
what Andres are bad.
Speaker 6 (51:29):
I know a really good.
Speaker 2 (51:31):
The Padres are good. What he's trying to But what
he's trying to do.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
Is get you and I to argue about something else
besides just the forty nine ers and the Rams.
Speaker 6 (51:42):
That's what you're doing there.
Speaker 4 (51:44):
Become a Giants fan, No Padres fan.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
He's just he's just trying to He's just trying to
make us argue. More like, don't let him drive a
wedge between us. Don't let him do that.
Speaker 4 (51:54):
Become an Angels fan.
Speaker 2 (51:55):
Become an Angel I know that's bad. No, not bad,
just no one really cares about the Angels.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
Sorry, Gavin, Sorry, Adam, right.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
Sorry is wrong. They got a nice ballpark, though it's
really nice they do.
Speaker 4 (52:11):
It's easy to get in and out.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
Month. I'm gonna watch Monster Trucks, a truck show.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
Not a lot of traffic. It's easy to get it
out of for sure. All right, let's curb this before
