Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Today it's a Fantasy Line edition of the Fantasy Football
Podcast Don Patrick Clayban I'll be joined by Marcus Grant
and Adam Rank.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
It's week three.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
We'll tell you who will be the ones for week
three and who is hot on the waiver wire, plus
which struggling players.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
You need to chill about.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
If one week of information was not enough to make
a whole bunch of really wide sweeping decisions, then two
is definitely enough.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Absolutely go into full panic mode. If your team's are
going to the season's over, you might as well try
something else.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Pickleball, I hear is very very popular with the kids
these days.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I mean, look, the ship rocked one direction. Now it
rocks completely back the other direction. So you know, we're
just making wild swings of analysis back and forth. It's
week three, Patrick. By week three, we know everything there
is to know.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, what more information is there? Speaking of ships? Fucking
go back to Monday Night Football.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Last night. A quarterback that's team Mascot's a pirate. His
ship was rocking last night.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Marcus, he got his first win on Monday Night Football
in Forever Bakeryfield.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Absolutely, it was great. Nineteen point nine fantasy for Yeah,
it was QB thirteen, but I'll really solid outing for Mayfield.
The two hundred and fifteen passing yards, a couple of
rushing touchdowns. The yardage totals I know have not necessarily
been impressive, but he is protecting the football. Five touchdown passes,
has yet to throw an interceptions, so you're not getting
those minus twos. But tough stretch coming up. The Jets,

(01:33):
the Eagles, the Niners, the Lions all within the next
five weeks, so Baker and the Bucks are going to
be tested.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Is Baker Mayfield elite? These are the conversations we need
to be asking. One question I want to ask, what
about Bucky Irving? This guy has been fantastic since last season.
One of the rookie finds of the twenty twenty four
season is now stepping up even more so this year.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
And it's one of.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Those things that you know, I his adyp I felt
wasn't high enough during this draft season, and he's come
out he's been fantastic. Not only is he getting the
majority of the carries, he ran the ball seventy times
for seventy one rushing yards last night. He also had
six targets caught all six of them ended up with
fifty receiving yards. So even though he got sniped for

(02:19):
the touchdown that went to Rashad White at the end,
he still had a very good fantasy performance for you
fantas is the RB eleven, which of course is a
RB one.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah, it's ultimately the touchdown that was the game winner
was not scored by Bucky Irving. They don't get in
that position without the battom of Bucky Irving, and without
the efforts of Bucky Irving, Nick Chubb would have him
the game winning touchdown from Monday Night Football you see
the celebration in Houston. That was his longest rushing touchdown
since twenty twenty two. He also had his longest receiving

(02:49):
play since twenty twenty one, and the RB eighteen on
Week two.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
His forty three.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yards more yards than either Jean Robinson or his teammate
got against this very good Buccaneers rush defense, and so
things looking up in your comeback player of the Year
and Fantasy viable player Nick Chubb in twenty twenty five.
One of the top picks though, in all of fantasy
football was his teammate Nico Collins. The targets have been

(03:16):
a little bit of a struggle. Forty two percent a
catchable target rate for Nico Collins.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
How concerned are you? Right? Very now?

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Hey, I'm concerned because you had a decision to make
and a lot of our fantasy drafts, and it was
a decision between Nico Collins and the Leak Neighbors.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
And I always like to have.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
A little bit of a spread out the shares a
little bit, and the teams where I have the Lake
Neighbors not surprisingly two to zero. The teams with Nico
Collins not doing as well. But it's one of those things.
And he pointed this out when we were talking about
this before the show. He has had some tough matchups
in the early part of the season.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
We've seen CJ. Stroud struggle a little bit.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Obviously, there's going to be some continuity issues on the
offensive line. They traded Layer m Tunsel during the offseason,
so it's not surprising that it's taking a little.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Bit of time.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I'm for the Houston Texans to get going now. I
know for people who are in gieteen leagues and things
like that who might have been lopped in the already
actually that was.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Joe Burrow's fault more than anything else.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
But it's one of those things that you know at
stay the course, honestly, like he's a great receiver, he's
going to be good if anything. Go out there and
find somebody who's panicking, try to swing a deal, perhaps
buy on the low and see what you can do there.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, take advantage of the freakouts. That's the only thing
we can do in fantasy football. Take advtage of the
opportunity to watch two Monday night football games last night
in honor of PAC twelve after dark and what once.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Was What's your Deal?

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Revenge game and Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers
got the win.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Marcus all kind of packed twelve, right, you have your
Pete Carroll, Jim Harbaugh, Justin Herbert, going to keenan Allen,
all sorts of stuff there. Another nice night. Tip Kelly
was there, that's right, Chip Kelly. A lot of good
stuff from herbo there. Two hundred and forty two passing
yards of two touchdowns. Was charged with that fumble, the
bad exchange late in the ballgame, but otherwise another good

(05:03):
day for Justin Herbert right now third in passing yards
behind Russell Wilson and Daniel Jones, just like we all
would have predicted at this point in the season. Sixty
three rushing yards for Herbert too, not a bad number,
just nine behind Omarion Hampton for the team lead right now.
Tough match up next week, the Denver Broncos coming to
town to take on the Chargers. But the way Herbert's playing,
it's hard to doubt him at this point.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Oh, that Stad correction is going to hit like crack
when Justin Herbert is no longer discredited with that. I
lost enough Dynasty League the field Yates. Not only does
he have like a nice head of hair, but I
lost him in Dynasty Fantasy.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Did not care for that at all.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
But what we've seen though, not only are the Chargers
a pass happy team, They're throwing the ball all over
the yard.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
You know, it's one of those things.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
And when you look at the production with Keenan Allen,
Quinton Johnston who is actually catching the ball now, which
is really nice for them, not for me. They had
fourteen targets last night, which is great and I'm very
happy for them. However, I drafted Ladd McConkie. This is
not no, I don't want the Ladd was open.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
What are you doing? Do you not know this is up?

Speaker 4 (06:08):
But ultimately you love to see the trust that Justin
Herbert is putting in Quentin Johnson and obviously Keenan Allen.
There is a nice target for them. Ultimately this is
gonna open it up for Ladd mccakie. I know it
doesn't seem that way, it seems counterintuitive, but now that
people have to trot like they have to account for

(06:28):
Quinn Johnson getting down the field like you before you'd
be like, yo, let them let's stonehands run. Who cares
what he's gonna do. But now of these catching the football,
it's gonna open it up. But it will be opportunities
for Lad McConkie. Underneath, it's gonna be fine. Again, don't
freak out.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
It's gonna work out.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Constantly preaching just wait, everything's gonna work out. Maybe we
need to preach that to the running game of the
Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
As Pete Carroll.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Doing some explaining after the game about Ashton Genty's lack
of opportunity.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
He'll come, We're going to have to run the football
better than we more effectively.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
We got to get more yards.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
You know, we have fifty sixty yards or something in Russian.
That's not enough. We got to get more than that.
So I'd like to see that just as well as
you would. But as far as pushing the you know,
the issue with him, you know, trying to get him
twenty five carries or something like that. We're breaking him
in and so that'll come.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
So that will come.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Ashton genty right now zero point one yards before contact
per carry this season. That's the fifth fewest among all
running backs right now with the minimum of twenty rushes.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
What is the current level of concern.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
There's a lot of concern because one of the issues
with Ashton genty, one of the reasons why he's being
taken off the field is that he's not performing in
pass protection. And with these young running backs, when you're
trying to look at the usage and be like, how
often is this player going to be out on the field,
it comes down to pass pro It's one of the
reasons why Bucky Irving was able to get out on
the field during his rookie season. It's something he's going

(07:58):
to have to improve on.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Now. It's nice. You do want to run the football.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
But when you start seeing Zamir White get into the
action and some of the other guys getting into the action,
You're like, what is going on here?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Because I know, I know a lot of people ended up.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Drafting him in the first rolly the end of the
first round, you know, listen, and the science was there.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
It made a lot of sense.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Pete Carroll Chip Kelly loved to run the football, but
you got to be able to do the other things too.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
That warrant's playing time.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, my concern level right now is kind of what
it was during draft season, which is why I wasn't
really comfortable taking him in the first round. It's a
reminder that talent is great, but sometimes landing spot makes
the difference. The offensive line in Las Vegas was always
going to be an issue. The other part is game
script could be an issue all throughout the season. Gino
Smith's seventy seven pass attempts through the first two games,
that's way more than I think anybody anticipated. Could continue though,

(08:45):
if the Raiders find themselves playing from behind frequently.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Also worth noting the number one tight end for a
lot of folks coming into the season was Brock Bowers
and watching him play with the giant knee brace on
and not have the success. Also some calls for concern
out of Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Speaking of number ones, let's look at the ones from
week two.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Is Jared Goff running up the score, getting to the
b the quarterback one, Jonathan Taylor your RB one just
edging up Debo Cook, and then there's i'mon Ross Say Brown,
Malik Naghbors or wide receivers, Brandon Aubrey and the Falcons defense,
as well as j mar Chase getting in there in
the flex time. To determine the league three number one

(09:23):
players with our look at the ones, let's start with
a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
I'm gonna go with Josh Allen. I think this is
a pretty automatic choice. Not only has Josh Allen feasted
on Thursday Night, he's one of the best guys in primetime,
especially on the Thursday night games. He's averaged close to
twenty four fantasy points per game on TNF during his career.
That's the second most in the NFL since two thousand
and eighteen. But he does really nicely against the Miami Dolphins.

(09:49):
He's averaged twenty seven fantasy points per game in his
career against the Dolphins, a team that has allowed the
second most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season,
should be a great night for Josh Allen.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I'm gonna go and rank I'm already apologizing in advance,
but I'm taking Dak Prescott against the Bears this week.
In large part, though, just because of volume. Prescott's averaging
forty three pass attempts per game through the first two
the Cowboys throwing the ball sixty four percent of the time,
and look the Bears defense. I think they're going to
tighten up under Dennis Allen, but the first couple of
weeks he's seen a lot of miscommunications in the secondary.

(10:22):
Now they've lost Jalen Johnson for an extended period of time,
possibly this season. That's certainly not gonna help matters. So
I think this is going to be a week we
see Dak throwing the ball a lot, Seedee Lamb, George Pickens,
even Jake Ferguson getting involved, and I think he puts
up a good number.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Let's go to the running backs and I will take
Derrick Henry, who's coming off of a rough game fantasy
wise against the Cleveland Browns, albeit the team did put
up forty plus on offense. They're taking on that Lions
defense that's given up points in the teams to both
Josh Jacobs and DeAndre Swift in back to back weeks.
If the concern is that the Detroit Lions will load

(10:58):
up the box to stop the run the Browns did,
I don't know that the Lions personnel wise can do
the same things that Cleveland did. Albeit they do have
two of the best safeties in the league. So maybe
not these big home runs that he hit against the
Buffalo Bills, but it is Derrick Henry, so the home
run opportunity is always going to be there.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
I'm gonna go with Jon Robinson. The only player on
this team that the kicker knew.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
The kicker who scored.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
The game winner is like, I don't know, I know
who Bjeon Robinson. He didn't know who Leonard Floyd was,
but he's like, I know Vijeon. Of course everybody does.
Anybody who plays fantasy football knows who Bjeon Robinson is
obviously the best choice here because he has done so
well in his career. Against the Carolina Panthers, he averages
close to thirty Fantasy points per game in his career

(11:41):
five touchdowns in four career games against the Panthers. He
is second in the NFL averaging one hundred and forty
six scrimmage yards per game this season. The Carolina Panthers
defense it's not good, very generous, very generous to opposing team.
Sojeon Robinson should go out there and be the running
back one this week, Let's go.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
To the wide receivers. Marcus Hoosier number one. We're going
Jackson Smith in jigbag here. See, the Seahawks aren't throwing
the ball a ton so far this season, but when
they do, generally, it's gonna be a JSN. He's tied
for third of the NFL in targets, second, reception second
and receiving yards. Has a forty four percent target share,
which is the best in the NFL right now, fifty

(12:23):
seven percent of the air yards, which is second in
the league. Some league neighbors double digit targets in both
those games, averaging eleven air yards per target. The Saints
defense through two weeks has been a little bit better
than I think we thought it would be, but still
I expect Sam Donald to be looking at number eleven's
way a whole lot this week today, speaking of Sam Donald,
I would like to take Justin Jefferson as my wide

(12:46):
receiver one, going up against his old teammate and good
friend Jamar Chase, as those two have not the battles
about who the best receiver is. Well, the biggest factor
here I think will be Carson Wentz starting in place
of JJ McCarthy, because the format is out there.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
He's seen it.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Throwing the ball to Justin Jefferson could get you fifty
five million dollars guaranteed. And there's historical precedent here because
Nick Bullens came out and aired it out to Justin
Jefferson fifteen times one time in the game for almost
two hundred total yards. I think Carson Wentz has seen
the formula.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
He knows how it works.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
You get the ball to eighteen and perhaps eventually some
money could be coming your way.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Those are the ones here on NFL Fantasy Live.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
We have more coming up, including some names that you
can look forward to end trust in probably not so
familiar places. That's next on NFL Fantasy Live. Welcome back
to the twenty twenty five NFL season is underway. Single
game tickets are on sale now. Visit NFL dot Com,

(13:47):
slash tickets to purchase tickets through the NFL ticket network
including ticket Master, Seat Geek, and Sports Illustrated Tickets. Time
for real or mirage here on NFL Fantasy Live. We
do not think Malik Neighbors is a Miracus s Grant.
But let's look over at his teammate, Wandale Robinson, who
wasn't Wandale, not Twodale.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Ten targets for Wandale Robinson? Was that real or was
it a moron? Look?

Speaker 3 (14:11):
I think part of it was real. I think in
terms of like the snap share, the target share, those
sorts of things, that part was real. What was a
mirage was the air yards there? I mean sixteen point
one air yards per target in Week two. When you
look at the trajectory of Wandale Robinson's career, he had
three point three air yards per target in Week one,

(14:32):
just over five air yards per target average in twenty
twenty four, about five and a half for his career.
So we're talking about him tripling pretty much his career
average in air yards in this one game. I don't
think that's going to be consistent. Also, you can't count
on Russell Wilson to go for four point fifty every
single week.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
So this one.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Feels like if you got to, if you take advantage
of it, good on you. I don't think this is
going to happen a whole lot many more times.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Man, I was hoping Russell will have a historical performance
every single week for the NFL season. Let's go over
to Rome odoonse Marcus got in the end zone a
couple of times. Look really good after the catch, real
or a mirage.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
I think it's real now. Not the two touchdowns obviously
every week. That's asking a lot. But in terms of
the connection he seems to have formed with Caleb Williams,
it absolutely feels real. He's above ninety percent route participation
in both games, a thirty percent target share, and per
Fantasy Points data, he's the first read on thirty three
percent of Caleb Williams attempts, has all three of the

(15:30):
Bear's passing touchdowns or receiving touchdowns I should say this year,
and a fifty six point three percent target share against
man coverage at least all wide receivers according to the
Next Gen Stats. It just feels like Caleb and Rome
are starting to build something. I think we're going to
see a lot more consistent performances from him.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
We've seen another pair of teammates builds on it for
a long time, Travis Etn and Trevor Lawrence and Travis
Etn out playing Baseel Tutin. Right now he's got his
other running back traded to the Eagles. Is his performance
real or a mirage?

Speaker 3 (15:59):
I'm starting to believe that I have his Etn is real.
And it was weird because this time last year it
felt like the Jaguars were trying to sort of demote
him within the context of the offense and give Tank
Bixby more opportunities. But right now he is the undisputed
RB one, playing about two thirds of the snaps, more
than half of the rushing attempts, but also getting a

(16:19):
lot of work in the passing game fifty percent round
participation in the first two weeks. Now you mentioned besh'all Tuton.
I think he's a nice compliment. We saw him get
in the game and it looks like he's got a
little bit of juice. But right now I don't see
anything knocking et and off this perch as the lead
running back there, and it looks like they're gonna make
him a big part of the offense all year long.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
To the team that they beat in Week one, the
Carolina Panthers and Jatavian Sanders. Is his performance after that
game against the Cardinals real or miraj.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Yeah, I'm not buying into this one just yet. I
think it's a little bit of a mirage. And it
look we like Sanders because he's kind of that deep
sleeper right if you are streaming tight ends. There will
be weeks where you can use him. But that's the problem.
It's going to be inconsistent all season long. Nine targets
in Week two against the Cardinals with just three targets
in Week one. So far, the Panthers offense has been

(17:06):
on the struggle bus, and I think that's gonna be
a consistent theme all year long. So look, if you
want to live this way, I think the Panthers are
going to be very pass heavy in the second half
of a lot of games because I think they'll be
playing from behind. But it just feels really, really tough
to count on standards getting a consistent number of targets
each and every week.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
It's real or mirage with Marcus grit If you like
to live dangerously. Perhaps going and picking up a Carolina
panther would be one way. Or you could get over
on the waiver wire and get some options on the
waiver wire hot sauce without them.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Right, all right, thank you so much, packet. Yeah, like
this is a very interesting hot sauce addition. The waiver
wire is very curious this week because I remember when
there was a time whenever it's like, listen, quarterbacks are
super safe, watch out for the running the backs because
that position is so vulnerable. Now the running backs are healthy,
the quarterbacks, we don't know what to do. It's kind
of like when they shut down my favorite taco shop.

(17:57):
I'm talking about when Don.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Ramones was closed, even locations from.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
Mortar to ingur. I didn't know what to do. That's
what it's like this week. Let's get started. We'll start
with a mile that even close. All right, let's go mild,
mild but flavorful, and we're gonna start talking about Daniel Jones.
It's like that taco shop that you've driven by a
couple of times and you're like, I'm never stopping there,
I will never eat there. But now you're hearing great things.
You're like, should I give it a try time out

(18:23):
two times. It's been pretty good.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Now when we finally walk in the door, is it
gonna be bad? Are we gonna get salmonilla?

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Probably? But still what else are you gonna do? There's
not a lot of options there. Nothing is open.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
It's the only place that is twenty four hours. So
you know what, when it comes to Daniel Jones this.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Week, we gotta go out and start them telling to
me that I'll get there.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
All right, let's get a little spicy. Let's get a
little spicy.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Have you ever had somebody recommend a place to you
and you walk in there and the guy working the
kitchen counter looks like kind of Renfro And you're like.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Something doesn't compute.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Is this right? Like, I don't know if I want
to get here? But it turns out the kid can cook.
He can cook a little bit. Or the carnada is
a little.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Dry, sure, but still the kid can cook.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
And so far, so good.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Four Hunter Renfro this season for the Carolina Panthers, He's
had at least six targets in back to back games.
He had five red zone targets last week in Arizona.
Arizona a place not known for its spice, actually some
of the worst spice. How is Arizona a border state
and it has no spice? This will never make sense
to me. There's one good taco shop in the entirety

(19:29):
of Arizona and it was run by Hunter Renfro.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
This week, all let's sign for three alive, three alarm.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
I'll bounce it there, Chunky b three alarmed. The heat
is rising in Denver, kind of like when they at
the last minute, United's like, Hey, yeah, you're no longer
in Seagate. You got to get the Agate. You got
to get there in ten minutes and you're running. You're
gonna go down.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
You gotta take the tram. You gotta run your gate.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
That's what it's like for Troy Franklin. Troy Franklin is
coming on. I remember last season, everybody, Oh, there's the cat.
I'm looking at Chunky Bee.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
The camera's right there here. Hey, my name Sadim.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
You know everybody sold us last year that this was
all there were friends from college?

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Were they were they They didn't act.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Like they were friends from college last year. They have
to like two guys who are still fighting because they
were competing for Stephanie Doubleday's number and off campus pop.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
It never got over it even to this day.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
But still now it looks like they let by guns
be by guns, and the.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Chemistry is there. This is not something that you can ignore.
I had a bunch of the ah.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
He led the Broncos receivers and snaps routes and target
share in week two. Goodness, gracious, so terrible. I could
be pitching for the Angels. Now, all right, let's go
ell the obloh di oablo and I'm talking to spicy
like those paintings in the Denver Airport. But instead we're
going down to Tennessee, not a place that is known
for spice. We ever had Tennessee barbecue, Very smooth, very smooth,

(20:49):
like whiskey.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
They don't get a lot of spice. But I'm gonna
tell you.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Right now, Elick Ao Manor has been absolutely fantastic for
the Tennessee Titans this season. We saw some great production
and he is going out there and making shircus catches.
I know, the way we came into this year, we
thought it was gonna be Calvin Ridley. We liked Calvin Ridley.
We have a history of Calvin Ridley, but Eleck has
been out there dominating to targets, to snaps, the tremendous catches.

(21:13):
Look at him go up there, high point that football
going in bringing in. So if you're looking for somebody
chunking me, I'm talking about that and that, ladies and gentlemen,
goodness gracious, that went out.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
That is the hot sauce for a week, dude. We're
back in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
International Games return to NFL Network on September twenty eighth.
Six games four cities Dublin, London, Berlin, and Madrid snooze
off game on for Sunday morning football only on NFL Network,
also streaming with NFL Plus. Subcription required for NFL Plus
visit plus dot NFL dot com for terms. It's time

(21:50):
for higher or lower because over on the NFL Fantasy
app on NFL dot Com as well, you have projections
for some fantasy top scores. We're gonna tell you whether
or not the actual score will be hig or lower
the projection. Starting with the most notable indoor cat who
heard golf playing outdoors against Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Well, you know what, listen, I want to have love
in my heart and empathy. So I'm gonna go I'm
gonna go higher here for Jared Goff.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
You know why, because I would.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
Hate to believe that last week was just a one
week aberration for the Detroit Lions, that the Detroit Lions
were treating a Week two game against the Chicago Bears
as their super Bowl, that they put everything, every effort
into that game. I'm choosing to believe that the Lions
are actually going to play well after destroying the Bears

(22:35):
against a very good Ravens team, because otherwise, if they
do not come out and play well against the Ravens,
I think that they will have to just consider that
that was a one week aberration and that what we
saw in Week one was really the true Lions.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
I don't want to have to believe wow. So it's
up to you, Jared Goff.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
It's a lot for jaredy Man to proof considering what
he's done. A guy who's played in limited spots but
played well. Jake Browning Marcus Hire lower than fifteen points
expantasy points.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
I may be a shoe in for Hater of the Year,
but I'm gonna go lower on this one. It's not
totally about Jake Browning. I mean, it's a little bit
about Jake Browning, but it's more about that offensive line
in Cincinnati because obviously it was a heavy pass rush.
You saw Joe Burrow get hit and that was partially
what led to the turf toe injury that took him

(23:21):
out is going to take him out for an extended
period of time. But when you've got Joe Burrow, there's
still a level of confidence that he's going to get
out and make the throws. Now he's got to go
against a very good Minnesota pass rush. It's one thing
to sort of do it against a Jaguars defense that's
still kind of figuring itself out. It's another thing to
do it when you expect Brian Flores is going to
be bringing pressure all day long. Yeah, I mean, you

(23:43):
got Jamar Chase that's definitely a help, But I still
expect a heavy dose of Chase Brown to try and
slow that pass rush down a little bit. So I
am not very excited about Jake Browning's prospects, all right.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
So that is one lower here on hire or lower.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Let's go to Jordan Mason, one of the more notable
Masons who saved the city of San Francisco higher lower
than nineteen point five fantasy points.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
I'm sure you know the entomology of your name good Speed.
It's to wish somebody a good journey. If you're looking
for a place to a vacation or honeymoon, Fort Walton, Kansas,
but or else Cincinnati. Cincinnati also works as well. This
is one of the things that we kind of expected
coming into the season that Jordan Mason was eventually going
to become a bigger factor in this offense. We've seen

(24:25):
the history of him in a similar cell offense in
the aforementioned in San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
I really do believe.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
That now that he's going to get an opportunity with
Aaron Jones possibly missing some time, this is a really
good chance for him to go out there and pile
up a lot of fantasy points. I know nineteen and
a half is a huge number, but I'm really optimistic
that he's going to be able to go out there
and get that.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I just hope he likes his haircut solid.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Again, The Rock required viewing.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
If you're going to watch the show.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Half of the references we will go to cam Scoutaboo,
Marcus Hire lower.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
A relatively little eleven.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Fantasy points, but against the good run defense.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
In the Jeeves, Yeah, you know what, I'm still gonna
go higher for mc sketchat two steps forward Tyrone Tracy
taking two steps back. I don't know if they're opposites,
and I don't know if anyway he out snapped Tyrone
Tracy last week was on the field in a lot
of passing situations. I'm hoping to see more targets going
his way soon. But he's also getting a good amount

(25:20):
of the short yardage work. Maybe he starts to get
some of those goal line opportunities. I have been on
the Camp Scataboo train pretty much since his time at
Arizona State. Loved his opportunities. Didn't think we'd see this
rise in opportunities coming this quickly in the offense. But
I do think he's gonna have a nice night, and
even if he gets in the if he gets in
the inZone especially, he's gonna get over that eleven points.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
All Right, We'll see if the.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Russ and the revolutions that was the Giants past week,
I can.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Go up against the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Let's go to de Kalin metcalf Right seventeen point seven
points against the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
I think that number is a little bit too high,
not by much, but still a little bit too high
for me. When you look at the Steelers offense, I'm curious,
what is the long term effect here? What are they
doing here? There's a lot of things going on. I
know Aaron Rodgers was telling everybody he was so close
to going back to his relaxed bit, but we still
need to see some production out of this. Obviously, in

(26:14):
Week one, when he threw four touchdown passes, one of
them was not to DK Metcalf. I don't know if
there was some sort of heat, if there was something
that you know, he agreed, he was upset with him
for some reason.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I don't know what it was.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
We need to see until I see the tangible evidence
that DK Metcalf is going to be more heavily involved
with this offense and that this offense is going to
be able to put up some more consistent production. I'm
going to skew you on the more cautious side with
DK Metcalf, so I have him figured right around fifteen
fantasy points.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
So that's gonna be a little bit too high for me,
all right, so a lower for DK. Now we got
our second Tennessee Titan. Thus far in the show, we
discuss Io Mann or what about Calvin Ridley against the
Colts thirteen point six fantasy points within the division?

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Marcus, I'm going to say higher, and my analysis basically
comes down to it just feels like he sort of
do at this point. You know, he's getting the majority
of the targets. He's got more targets than Iomanor, has
more catches, more yards, and I like Iomanner a lot.
I've been touting him since the preseason, but Calvin Ridley
is still the wide receiver one in this offense. Cam Ward,

(27:16):
I think he's played very well, even if the results
haven't necessarily shown it. And the difference, at least fantasy wise,
between Ridley and Iomner is just that the rookie has
a touchdown. I mean that's pretty much the difference. So
as long as Ridley continues to get this kind of volume,
the touchdowns will come. And I think it happens this
week that he starts to break through a little bit.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
All Right, So we got more HighRes than lowers, but
we dig get a couple of lowers in there from
the you know a couple of fantasy grinches and Marcus
that Adam Muga.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I mean too the number was too high. Well that's
the thing. They have only two options. They would have
given DK ten points. I would have said higher.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
So to come the Ravens through touchdowns to just about
everyone we didn't start in fantasy. In week two, we
got one Raven for you not to worry about and
one you can officially cut.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Who is it? Find out as NFL Fantasy Live continues.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Back here on NFL Fantasy Live, and it's time for
my five and through two weeks, here are five players
as you can safely put back on the waiver wire.
We'll start at number five with Jaydon Blue, the rookie
were running back for the Dallas Cowboys. Look, it's hard
to score fantasy points if you're not on the field,
even hard if you're not active. Two weeks, two healthy

(28:29):
scratches for Jaydon Blue. It's been all Javonte Williams and
Miles Standers in the first two weeks. This video you're
seeing is from the preseason. Maybe the rookie eventually gets
some work, but holding on to a player who never
sees the field, it's definitely gonna make a lot of
fantasy managers blue At number four, Colston Loveland. Maybe we
got too excited when Ben Johnson took Loveland ahead of

(28:50):
Tyler Warren in the NFL draft. He was always gonna
have a hard time getting targets and what is a
very crowded passing game. But I think we also underestimated
how much the Bears would use Cole Komet. By the way,
Comet's not the answer either. He's just got nine percent
of the targets so far, lovely running routes on less
than half of the pass plays. Five percent target share.
Right now, Colston is loveless in the Bears offense. Over

(29:12):
to number three, it's Matthew Golden. I know, maybe a
little bit of a surprise here, but look, count me
among the original skeptics about Golden's fantasy value. He was
never a high target earner in two different college stops,
drafted to an overcrowded wide receiver room with no true
alpha in two games, sixty three percent route participation, four targets,
two catches, sixteen yards. Maybe he has some spike weeks. Maybe,

(29:35):
but starting Golden or any Packers wide receiver right now,
is pretty much like eating bad cheese. At number two,
it's Caleb Johnson. Johnson's mistake on the kickoff return last
week is really the big negative headline about him, but
don't let it distract you from the fact that he
can't really get on the field in offense, as a
total of four offensive snaps in two games in that time,

(29:57):
two carries, negative one rushing yards and a fumble. Right now,
it is the Jalen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell show in Pittsburgh.
Caleb's just gonna have to wait. And the number one
who maybe the biggest surprise here, it's Mark Andrews.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
This one.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
I will say this is a swing and a miss
by me because I thought and Andrews bounce back was
coming this season. Nope, He's mostly just been getting his
steps in out there, high rout participation, but no targets.
Four targets, two catches seven yards plus Isaiah likely is
working his way back. Andrews fantasy value might be gone
ever more.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Those are my.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Five players that you can drop after Week two. Now
onto a guy who's probably been some rage dropping recently
himself as Patrick Claybond.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Oh, thank you so much. Marcus.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
You know Mark Andrews almost scored a touchdown there. It
almost is an interesting concept that we, for some reason
teach children because we make it acceptable to do things
like finish as the runner up in an overall fantasy
playoff season.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
No, that's not good.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Like finishing as the runner up and an individual Fantasy
Week vitual game among two players, which is what I
do consistently because players fail me, players like Brian Thomas Junior. Oh,
there's these little voices in my head talking about context
and always playing with a wrist injury.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah, well I've got a finger injury.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
From dropping Brian Thomas Junior, which is something I'm going
to do because he's had.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Less than ten points in two weeks.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
This is a player that I have drafted in the
top fifteen in multiple fantasy leagues, and so that lack
of effort Brian is not.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Something I said.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
Dude, Man, dude, you have me drop in this guy.
Don't judge him if the surf's is not there, man Like.
You can take Kelly Slater and drop him in the
middle of Lake Paris, but dude.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Can't surf because there's no waves. Man Like.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
If you look at this guy's quarterback who I'm a
big fan of brab but like, look man, like he
is not able to catch half of these passes because
they're so horrific.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Man, They're like blown.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
Out soupy, just not catchable balls.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
That's not on Brian Thomas. This is on a quarterbacks Listen.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
I'm not happy with Trevor Lawrence right now, but when
it comes to BDTJ, you got a chill, bro.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
I should you know, Brian, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
I got to think back to the way the season
ended a year ago and how promising things can be.
But then I look over at my consumption, my media consumption,
and yeah, there's a lot of conspiracy stuff in there.
But I get into the tapes and I heard a
tape this weekend that showed the truth about you, Jalen Hurts.
I heard a conversation that you had with Chris Jones

(32:35):
right before you took a knee, where he's shining you
for the lack of statistical success you had, and you
talked about something that's doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
You won the game.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
You won the game, Jalen Hurts, But what did I do?
I've got you as my lock screen now and the
points that you didn't score which ultimately cost me to
lose the game. And I'm going to use that to
motivate me to never put Jalen Hurts and my show.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Man, I got you.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Dude is too preoccupied with going out there and winning games,
which is great for the Philadelphia Eagles, not so great
for you. And then like, man, there are so many
haters after this guy, Like they're looking like obviously Jalen
is one of those young grams who you feel like
is dropping in way too early on those ways and

(33:21):
you're like, hey, if you break this down frame by frame, dude,
like they were just the wave was breaking before he
even dropped in. And then dude's dad has to come
in and be like, nah, bra, you're looking at the
angle the wrong way.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
But here's the.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Thing that we know about Jalen Hurts is like, you
know what, man, there's gonna be a time when winning
and fantasy points intersect in all its glories. Like driving
down Pch and Hidden Beach Boulevard, it's like, yeah, man,
this is the epicenter. This is where it all comes together.
The noggles is right over there, so eventually we're gonna

(33:57):
get there. But right now, when it comes.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
To Jayalen Herds, you got a cube bro, one of
the more consistent Fantasy quarterbacks of all time.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Why would I be upset with Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
It's not like he has had long continued success at
one single position. That's what people say about Derrick Henry.
But let me tell you what actually happened with Derrick Henry.
It was a bait and switch. He comes out scores
twenty nine points a week.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
One.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Oh yeah, everything's great.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
I'll hail the king.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Less than three fantasy points iguinst the Cleveland Browns while
your teammates who we had to google, were going into
the end zone. So here's what you need to do,
Derick Henry. Get out there if the run game is
not successful and show that ability run some routes so
your selfish quarterback will throw you the ball instead of
people like Devon Walker like what, no, I WHOA?

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Why are we angering the big dog like this?

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Like I'm old enough to remember there is somebody on
this very set saying that this guy was gonna be
an RB one.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Man.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
It's like, you know what, Sometimes when you're sitting there
and you're trying to navigate those narrow little walkways at cassidies.
Like if you're going back to where the video game
is and you're like, uh, you know, you don't want
to go shoulder to shoulder with.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
The big guy. You gotta just let him go, like,
let him go out there and do his thing.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
And like I would tell you right now, when it
comes to Derek Henry, you got to do the same thing,
Like don't go up and try to bum rush him
or give him the shoulder or anything like that. The
only thing that I ask you to do is just
step out of his way. Big Dog is going to
go out there and eat. He's gonna step up, he's
gonna order his Cassidy Berger, and he's gonna have a
wonderful day. He's going up against the Lions this week.

(35:30):
Who laugh, dude, those guys are going to be hungover
from partying too hard the other day after going out
and beating the Bears. So listen, you gotta have some perspective.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
This is King Henry. This guy rules.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
So when it comes to the Big Dog, you gotta chip.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Bruh, thank you, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
I shout chill on all of these players because it's
not the players who lose fantasy football games. It's the
person who ultimately makes the decision. Sometimes people forget that.

Terms and embargoes apply, and it's signed for us to
crown the cardio king for Week two. Congratulations in order
for Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette. He was tracked by
next Gen Stats running one three hundred and twenty one
yards up and down the desert field Sunday afternoon.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
What did you do with all that running?

Speaker 2 (36:29):
He got eight targets, one catch for negative two yards.
He's the first wide receiver since well before he was
born nineteen ninety one with eight or more targets and
a negative receiving yardage total in a game. So thanks
for nothing, Exaver, but.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Hey, at least you got your cardio in time for
no stats.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Just vibes here on NFL Fantasy a lot, because sometimes
things can't be quantified with statistical interpretation. We just got
to absorb the vibrations from the universe. So why don't
you start us off, Marcus? What's your vibe this week?

Speaker 1 (37:02):
My vibe is.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
That the Eagles wide receivers are going to be frustrating
all season long. We railed about AJ Brown and Devon
sa Smith not doing much in week one. It wasn't
a whole lot better for them in week two. Basically,
the Eagles have decided to build the whole plane out
of the tush. Push a lot of short throws, a
lot of runs by Sakwon Barkley. They get it to
second and one or third and one, and then they

(37:22):
just shove Jalen Hurts forward. That's the way the offense
works right now. They're probably spike weeks, but this is
going to be a big time vertical passing offense. I
don't think this year. And so if you spent the
high draft pick on AJ Brown high high, that's me.
It's going to be a really frustrating year.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
I'm going to move on to Chicago and I feel
like we're going to start seeing players like Colston Lovelin
turning two. It's starting to break out a little bit.
Earlier this week, Ben Johnson was talking about opening up
the competition, talking about what players are doing without the
football in their hands, and it was some thinly veiled
shots are pretty obvious if you sit here and watch

(37:59):
it close enough. He was calling out some players out,
calling out some players. I think there's going to be
opportunities for guys like Colston Lovelin, so I know, we
talked about it earlier in the show. He seems like
a dropable player right now, and the numbers kind of
bear that out. But as somebody who's just going based
on vibes and how I feel about this team, I
think this is going to be a Colston Lovelan breakout game.

(38:20):
I have no other reason why other than just the vibes.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Yeah, the vibes will.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Tell you a lot of things. And coming in to
last season, there was excitement about the opportunity for JK.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Dobbins.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
He was ultimately the force to carry the Chargers back
to relevance in the NFL, and then he gets sent
over to the Denver Broncos where everybody got all excited
about RJ. Harvey and his potential.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
But J.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Dobbins is still there and he's essentially going to ruin
your RJ. Harvey shares and I know it's early, but
fourteen cares to five seventy six yards to eight yards.
And I know those are stats and we're just talking
about vibes, But why why did everybody forget about JK
Dobbins coming in? That's what ultimately determining my vibrational analysis
as a Too many people just didn't pay attention to

(39:05):
the fact that JK.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Dobbins was still there. So those are no stats, just vibes.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Here on NFL Fantasy Live, those of you opened up
your fantasy app and you got a congratulations from the
app itself. That's who we're celebrating today. Used half of
you who got wins in Fantasy Football Victory Tuesday. You
have sent us the things that are worth celebrating, so
let's celebrate right along with you. Allan says to overcome
three points from Justin Fields, winning the matchup thanks to

(39:31):
Bucky Irving breaking that tackle on the final drop.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
You know their opponent was just running their mouth too.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
Like a nice game from Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
There's no way you're gonna come back and win. You
know you know better. I'm glad that Bucky Irving was
able to deliver. The victory.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
I can see them just white knuckling that last drop,
just begging.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
The Texans stopped him. They did not make.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Darryl's got Javante in the flex. Darryl say is gonna
be a high end RB two for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
I mean, it's hard to argue against that. I mean,
that's part of the reason we have you jade on
blue on the field, because Gavonte Williams is doing his thing.
Just when you thought you were out, he's pulling you
back in.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
It's gonna help if the Cowboys can be a calculator
fest where they don't cover people. Late thirty seconds ago,
Paul Martinez picking up and started the Colts kicker. The
Colts did the same thing. They got the win. Yeah,
they just go out there. This is it again.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
This is one of the things that I've been pushing
back on recently. This is why when people talk about
getting rid of kickers and I only kicking.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
This is part of fantasy football.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
Is you strategize I nearly I lost last night to Cynthia.
Part of the reason, not the entirety of the reason,
It is because the Texans didn't kick an extra point.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
Instead, they went for two.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
I'm glad they lost by a point for that reason,
not that it would have made it matter, but still
you're you're robbing precious fantasy points for me, which is
a huge issue.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
This is one of the things.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
This is what makes fantasy football so great, is like
these dumb little circumstances. Otherwise, just root for your favorite team.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yea, for those who say kickers are two random, the
whole game's whole games ran the entire Joe Burrow got hurt.
I got lopped off in a guillotine.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Because Joe Burrow got hurt. Like, don't tell me that. Oh,
let's just get rid of quarterbacks then, because he can't.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
You can't. You can't fight against that. Roger put in
Harold Fan and Jr.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Instead of Evan Ingram and it saved him, got him
a win.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Dang man.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Like right now, Harold Fan and Jr. Is like the
hottest thing going there in Cleveland, and Evan Ingram not
so much.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Yeah, who would have thought the guy who had a
billion catches for bowling grad would be a good football player?
And kay celebrating not just the Bills being two and zero,
starting Tucker Craft over David and Joku.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
You're a good friend as you should have Justin.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
Herbert MVP season has a quarterback dilemma lost Burrow and
JJ choosing between Drake May, Sam Donald, Matt Jones or
Danny Dimes.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Needs to make a decision right now. What's he doing
right now? Yeah? I mean, if Drake May is available,
I mean you got to go out there. That's that's
the best of that available.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
I didn't put him on the waiver wire hot Sauce
because I just assumed that Drake May. I went and
looked at his his stuff. His availability wasn't great.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Yeah, I'm with the Drake May thing. But maybe maybe
you stepped into that taco shop you've driven passed a
few times and just see what the fair is in there.

Speaker 4 (42:03):
Maybe Daniel, it looks like the old one that he replaced,
but it's new.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
I think it's Herbert MVP season.

Speaker 2 (42:10):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
