Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Today it's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy Football
Podcast don Patrick Clayband I'll be joined by Marcus Grant
and Adam Rank.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
We're going into week.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Five and we got the waiver wier Hot sauce to
help you spice up your roster for the bye week ahead.
Plus a deep dive on the rookie running back class
and which ones are really starting to assert themselves. And
Marcus has five by low candidates you can trade four
before they turn it around.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Everybody.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Welcome to NFL Fanies a lot. Patrick Claibond here with
Adam Rank and Marcus Grant.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Ran and kick off Week five of the NFL season
for you, and we've got buys rank so we need
to be extra prepared for the first time this season.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Yes, early games, bye weeks, injuries, all sorts of things
that are conspiring against your fantasy football team.
Speaker 5 (00:52):
Yeah, it's been a rough go for a lot of
folks dealing with the injury bug and now yeah, guys
just get to take the week off and also, you know,
make sure you wake up so you don't get stuck
with Jalen Warren in your lineup when he's a scratch.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, that's a rough one.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
There are many rough situations that we need to recap,
including one of the roughest for the Miami Dolphins coming
last night in a win against the Jets, brutal need dislocation.
That said, Tyreek Hill to the hospital immediately. There's multiple
ligaments involved on top of that, so there's a possibility
he won't just miss the remainder of the twenty twenty
five season, but that games in twenty twenty six would
(01:29):
be in question as well. Best wishes to Tyreek Hill, Marcus.
But what are we taking from this for the rest
of the Miami Dolphins on our fantasy lineups?
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Well, it's going to be hard, first of all, to
trust to a tongue of volois, simply because this is
an offense that really wanted to be a lot more
vertical that essentially is gone with no Tyreek Hill. They
were already thirtieth in air yards per attempt, so they
weren't really pushing the ball downfield the way they wanted to.
Tyreek Hill had fifty percent of the team's air yards.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Now maybe they try that with Aalen Waddle.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
He certainly is going to see more targets in the
inter room until they kind of get everybody else up
to speed.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
But there're gonna be a lot of short targets. You're
gonna need yards after the catch.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
Davon Aitchin is going to continue to be relied on
very heavily, not just in the running game, but he
was already a big part of the passing game there.
So those are the guys that I think you really
try to rely on. Beyond that, I think you're sort
of going away if you have Tyreek Hill. I think
you're mostly looking outside of Miami to fill that void
on your roster.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
And one of the guys who kind of stood out
on Monday night was Darren Waller, who was making his
return back to the NFL, and he made it in
a big way. It was kind of like somebody coming
into the Royal Rumble.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Just all of a sudden, there.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
He is, and he's winning. He's getting a title shot.
He had two touchdowns in this game. The thing of
it is he had four targets, caught three of them.
Two of them are obviously touchdowns. Is this a sustainable thing?
Speaker 1 (02:48):
You know? I look back to.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Last season and John news Smith seemingly coming out of
nowhere to put up the great season that he had.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Could Darren Waller be that guy this year?
Speaker 4 (02:59):
I think that if you're looking for some help at
the tight end position, it's worth investigating. I'm not saying
this is something that's sustainable, but considering what happened last
year to the tight end position, I'm willing to spend
some fab money on Darren Waller.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
There's one thing that has been pretty consistent season after season,
and that is over on the other side.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
The New York Jets have Justin Fields.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Now that's not consistent, but justin fields scoring fantasy points
very consistent. In fact, he's played in three games this season.
He has twenty seven or more points in two of
them because the rushing up side is always there. His
eighty one yards on the ground on Monday Night the
most by any quarterback this season. You can always count
on justin Fields to put up fantasy points. Team Brown
(03:42):
could open things up a little earlier in the game
to get more actual points.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
That would have helped Marcus.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
What it helped.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
But when they did need actual points, the guy they
went to was Garrett Wilson.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Six catches, eighty.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
Two yards and just an amazing touchdown catch to see
right here, eight targets in the ball game, and he
is easy the top option and some could say maybe
the only real downfield option in that passing game. At
least eight targets in every contest, double the number of
targets are the next closest player, which is Breeze Hall
targeted on nearly one third of his routes. So regardless
of how this Jets offense operates the rest of the season,
(04:16):
if you've got garreted Wilson, you can feel pretty confident
that on a weekly basis, he's going to see a
pretty heavy number of targets.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
The game went down to the final possession and plays
one solid I guess competitive Monday night football game of
the game in Denver, right was not competitive.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Not so much, but exactly what the Broncos needed, especially
bo Nicks, who needed one of these games. Ak a
little bit of a mini breakout of Slumpbuster if you will,
which what the Bengals are this season, and Bonnicks threw
for over three hundred yards and this one had a
pair of touchdowns, also rushed for a touchdown as well.
You know, obviously the nitpickers are going to show out.
(04:55):
You know, he missed RJ. Harvey here he overt Yeah,
that happens. This is the this isn't this isn't Madden.
Quarterbacks throw bad passes. It happens. What He was very
efficient in this game, and I look forward to be
something to build on for these Broncos as they're back
to the five hundred mark and now looking forward to
the rest of the season.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Well, and you're looking for another option in this passing game,
we know Courtland Sutton's going to get opportunities. Last night,
Marvin Mims got himself into the act conn all six
of his targets for sixty nine yards, had the rushing
touchdown that came from sixteen yards out, So twenty and
a half fantasy points certainly not bad, but I think
there are things you have to sort of consider. His
snapshare so far this season has been too inconsistent to
(05:35):
really trust him. And you see a lot of these
short targets here that's mostly where they're being where he's
being used, which means you need big yards after the
catch to get some solid fantasy production.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
You might need him to.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Get into the end zone. So it was nice that
he had a good game. I think he's worth having
on rosters. But until I see a little bit more consistently,
it's going to be hard for me to advocate having
him in a lineup.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, those flashes and getting in the end zone a
part of what gave r J. Harvey his breakout game.
He actually breaks out in the game where JK. Dobbins
broke the Broncos No. One hundred yard rusher streak. He
got in to that particular club got one hundred yards
and RJ. Harvey got in in what we can call
garbage time called a touchdown. He had nineteen point eight
(06:18):
fantasy points. That touchdown was on an all out blitz
for it.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Was a true cover zero where r J. Harvey was
wide open for a score.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Other Broncos co scored as well, but those points count
and RJ Harvey might you know in game.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Scripts like this become more fantasy viable. Well, if they do,
you play the Bengals every week.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Yes, there is a thing to be starting RJ Harvey
for the guy who was in my mentions so upset
about talking about JK. Dobbins like he had a one
hundred rushing yards? What do you want from me? But
we all sell are disappointed there you know, we wanted
a little bit more out of the Bengals receivers. We
thought that Jacob Browning was going to be an all
right replacement. We'd seen him do some things in the
(06:59):
past that led us to believe that, all right, he's
a serviceable NFL quarterback. He's not Joe Burrow, but we've
seen some nice things in the past that's not happening anymore.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Sometimes you wonder if it's the same guy.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
It's like when you go to when you're go back
from your sophomore to junior year in high school and
you see someone like, is that the same person? Were
you the guy from the arsaw? Because you're not the
same person anymore. Something has obviously changed. The airtime that
looked like a punt. Was he just throwing punts back there?
Like what was he doing? Like Jamar Chase is getting open,
You're not getting him the ball. So it's really hard.
(07:34):
So for anybody out there, I know there is somebody
who's like, I drafted Jamar Chase and then I ended
up I thought I was gonna win my league because
I ended up with the leak neighbors as my Yeah,
I'm like, yeah, that's it. There's always twenty twenty six. Yeah,
and it's like, hey, it's okay, I want to play
daily Fantasy. I don't know, there's other things you can do.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
A rough situation for our consensus number one overall pick
in Jamar Chase as the Bengals are gonna have to
figure something out to protect Jacob Browning or anybody.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
These guys didn't need to figure anything out. This is
the perfect lineup for Week four.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Deck at the top, Ashon Jenti, Josh Shakospookinakua who went
off as well as George Pickens. That Cowboys stick gave
a lot of people problems in Week four. It's time
for us to make our projections for who will be
the top players at their positions in Week five.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Who's the QB one rank, Well, they should just rename
this segment Who's going against the Bengals, Panthers or Cowboys,
because that's who we're going to go. Josh Allen, but
I took Jared goff in this one for obvious reasons.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
We saw what happened on Monday night.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
The Bengals obviously desperate for a victory, but at the
same time, if not put up any sort of defensive
effort that would lead you to believe that anybody is
not going to score mega points. So, Jared Goff, I
expect to be the quarterback one this week.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
So I took the Josh Allen portion of that option
that that buffet that rank laid out there.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Last week, I went Josh Allen. He finished at the
QB seven, really not bad.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
This week, I'm going to give it another go so
one because he's Josh Allen. He's the QB one overall,
twenty three or more fantasy points in three of the
first four games he's played this seasons, also accounted for
at least three touchdowns in three of Buffalo's four games,
but also the Patriots given up the seventh most passing
yards per game, and he's had a good history recently
(09:19):
against the Patriots. Twenty one or more fantasy points in
five of his last games, five of his last eight games,
I should say against New England. So I mean, look
win in doubt, just look for number seventeen and chances
are he's gonna have a good week.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
I'll take the RB one and I'll provide a in
segment ease as one of these players that we're gonna
pick here is not playing against one of the defenses
that Rank mentioned, but this one is this prest All
playing against the Dallas Cowboys defense, who's allowed the third
most receiving yards so running backs the sixth most fantasy
points to rbs, and they're going to be focused on
trying to stop justin fields. I'm not sure they'll do
(09:51):
that either, So I've got Breeze Hall as the RB one.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
All right, I'm gonna go with David Montgomery. They're playing
the Bengals. That's why.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Also, my boy David Montgomery, him and I we're friends.
We're cool, even though he plays for the Lions now.
But honestly, the one thing that I really admire about
Dan Campbell is that he will always go out there
and pick up his players. And obviously, David struggled against
the Browns mightily last week, and you know that Dan
Campbell is going to feed him the rock in a
game where I expect as well, that the Lions are
(10:22):
going to put this out of reach really early. They're
going to turn to David Montgomery to grind the clock,
get those yards, get some goal line opportunities too. He
has six goal line rushes this season. That's tied for
the second most in the NFL, So I expect a
huge bounce back for David Montgomery.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Let's go to the wide receivers, Marcus who you go.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
I'm going to go Nico Collins. And this is one
that you don't normally figure out. Right you're targeting a
guy against the Baltimore Ravens, But right now the Ravens
are a defense that you can target just because they've
had so many injuries up and down the line.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Marlin Humphrey now going to be.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Out for it looks like a couple of weeks they
lose Matta bk for the season.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
This is just a unit that has struggled.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
They had some tough matchups to start the season, but
the fifth most fantasy points per.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Game allowed to wide receivers, six receiving.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
Touchdowns allowed to wide outs in the first four weeks,
and Nico Collins. For everything else that's wrong with the
Texans offense, Nico Collins.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Not really one of them.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Twenty seven percent target share, forty two percent of the
air yards.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
So I would think if I'm CJ.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
Stroud, I'm looking in Collins direction early and often this week.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, it makes absolute perfect sense, and I will go
back to the Lions as well as the Cincinnati Bengals,
because I will take the NFL's leader and touchdown receptions
as the wide receiver one. I'm on ros Say Brown
has more red zone targets than anyone in the league.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Playing for a team that will score points.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Regardless of the time on the clock, regardless of the opponent.
Playing against the Bengals defense that looks primed, primed to
give up fifty, I don't think I will be shocked
if it is not close to fifty.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
In this team six seventy, Why not have any fins?
Speaker 2 (11:54):
We will increase the point total for the Lions against
the Bengals as the week continues here on NFL Fantasy Live.
Those are our picks for who will be the ones
and coming up. Do you think after two weeks in
a row of Carson Wentz as a top twelve quarterback,
it's time to start taking him seriously as Minnesota's backup?
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Or is it all a mirage?
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Marcus Grant separates reality from BI week hallucination next on
NFL Fantasy Live.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
What Israel? What is fake?
Speaker 2 (12:27):
What are the steps that we should take time for real?
Or mirage with Marcus Grant because we saw it is
it's all solved, Marcus, the Mahomes led Chiefs, they had
the offense was everything or were they just playing the Ravens?
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Was it a mirage?
Speaker 5 (12:42):
I do think it's real with Patrick Mahomes. Now, some
of it was, as I mentioned earlier, a Ravens defense
that is just beat up, missing so many key pieces,
having guys, you know, playing at less than one hundred percent.
But I think it's also what happens when you start
to get your guys back. We saw Xavier Worthy come
back and immediately be a big part of the offense.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
So no longer are you just relying.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
On the likes of Taekwon Thornton and Juju Smith Schuster.
They're gonna get Rashie Rice back as well. So now
all of a sudden, you're if you're an opposing defense,
it is kind of a picture poison. Who are we
trying to stop? Are we trying to slow down Rice
or Worthy? There's still Travis Kelce out there making plays.
So I think was just getting the pieces back that
the Chiefs needed, and they're unna see Patrick Mahomes look
(13:24):
a lot more like the fantasy quarterback you hoped he
would be this year.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
I number see him going up against an opponent dealing
with injuries. This past week were the Jacksonville Jaguars, Travis
Etn got back in the end zone.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Is it real or moron?
Speaker 3 (13:37):
I do think it's real now.
Speaker 5 (13:38):
Yeah, the forty nine or defense has been beat up,
it's an illusion.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
The Nighter defense has been.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Beat up this year, but they've also kind of been
leaky against the run. But on top of it, Travis
Etn it looks like him and not base shall Touton
was the reason that Jacksonville traded Tank Bigsby to Philadelphia.
Played on these forty snaps in every game, considering last
year he only played forty or more snaps three times,
said fourteen to more carries in every game, including nineteen
in Week four. He's averaging six yards per carry. So
(14:08):
it wasn't just against a forty nine or defense that
has had its issues. It's kind of been against everybody.
So I'm really starting to believe the Travis Etno. He's
looking like a top ten running back for.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
The remainder of the year.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Marcus.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
When the folks in Dublin bought their tickets. I don't
think they thought Carson Wentz was gonna throw for three
point fifty.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
But here we are. Is this real or is it
a little bit of murage?
Speaker 5 (14:28):
Yeah, it feels like we're wandering through the desert and
looking for an oasis, and yeah we get those those
heat lives up here. We're going with mirage on Carson Wentz.
He's the forty six pass attempts in Week four, Twenty
six of them came after halftime when the Vikings were
trailing and playing catch up.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
This is a team that threw.
Speaker 5 (14:48):
It on almost three quarters of their plays last week,
compared to just about fifty five to fifty six.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Percent for the season.
Speaker 5 (14:55):
A lot of high air yard, low percentage throws from
Carson Wentz. I think if everything going the way Kevin
O'Connell wants, this is a team that's a lot more balanced,
probably even more run heavy. And I think this week
against Cleveland there won't be the need to play for
multiple scores behind.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
So I'm not buying into this for Carson Wentz.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
The team that was multiple scores behind in Week four
the Baltimore Ravens and Justice Hill had his best fantasy
performance on his career.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Was that real or mirage? Marcus?
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Yeah, we're going mirage on this one.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
I mean it was great.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
You know, if you were fortunate enough to have Justice
Hill in a lineup one, I have questions, but too
good for you. Look he's still firmly behind Derek Henry
in this backfield.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Just eight carries all season long.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
The target shares increased slightly, but I think a lot
of that was.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
Game script dependent.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
With the Ravens so far behind and having to play ketchup,
they took Derek Henry out. It was a lot more
Justice Hill. It's nice that he had the big plays.
He's nice that he scored the touchdowns, but for him
to be Fantasy relevant, he's gonna have to keep that up,
and I just don't see the volume being there to
make that a reality.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Speaking of playing ketchup, not some people in some look, hell,
they get spicy.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
It's not. Let's get some I know where the Arizona
thinks it's spicy.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
But now here, Chucky be Vanessa, listen with your eyes please.
We've got the waiver Wire hot sauce.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Thank you. We're gonna start.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
Off with the mild, but flavorful and mild is gonna
be Woody Marks for a couple of reasons.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Number one, we gave us see a couple of weeks.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Ago announced been sitting out there on the counter spoiled. Additionally,
Woody Marks is mild because he's oh, there's the camera. Hey,
I was looking at Chunky b the whole time. This
is what I tried to look in my eyes. Hey,
Woody gets his nickname from the mildest character from Toy Story,
Woody Woody the the worst character of that.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
He's awful, he is. He's such a terrible character. Mister
potato Head was right all along. He had it. He
called him out immediately.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
But Duke Kaboo is actually the best player character from
Toy Story.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Woody Mark's played dearly sixty percent of the snaps for
the Houston Texans. That is why he needs to be
the lead running back for you.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
In Phantasy Foot. All right, let's get oh that was
a good one.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
All right, let's get a little spicy, little spicy, and
we're gonna go with Jackson Dart.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Fun story.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
A lot of you might not realize, but Jackson Dart
started his college career as a quarterback at USC and
he was the.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Starting quarterback once they fired.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
Klay Helton and then Lincoln Riley came in and he
said he was going to bring a quarterback with him
named Caleb Williams.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
So Jackson Dart.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Transferred to Old Miss. So ironically, this week I am
picking up Jackson Dart to replace Caleb Williams, who was
on a buy for me. One of the reasons why
we love him is his ability to run the football.
He had thirty one rushing yards and a touchdown on
six designed runs, and that floor should help you out
in the bye weeks.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Over the next couple.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
Of weeks, all right, oh sorry, oh, let's go to
three alarm. We're gonna go to Canda City and Burchard Smith,
who is slowly but surely becoming a big part of
this chief's offense. Now, a lot of people will say
that the barbecue sauce in Kansas City is not spicy,
but our friends at Burnt figured to barbecue. My niece
(18:14):
is Carrie and Christina swear by this place. It is
actually really awesome. It is spicy. It was one of
those things where I didn't believe them, like, go tell
me what to do. I'm from California. I know, like, oh,
that is pretty hot. But Burchard has been getting slowly
but surely involved in this Chiefs offense. Look at we
know what we're getting with Kareem Hot. You're knowing what
you're getting. I know Isaiah Pacheco scored a touchdown this week,
(18:36):
But if you're looking for long term value, I say,
Burchard Smith is somebody that you need to keep an
eye on. And now it is time for Elvi Oblo
the Oublo. We're gonna be going to the Windy City.
And I tell you, I take them the hole in
the walls in Chicago and I'm like, listen, what you
think you're putting on? That Italian beef is a lot
(18:57):
spicier than you think it is going to be. They
end up being chagrined because of the spiciness.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
Obviously Chicago is going to be on a buy. This
is not somebody they're going to start this week. However,
rumblings talking to people in Chicago, people in the building,
there is a feeling that Kyle Manunga is going to
start getting some of the early down work. They still
love DeAndre Swift, DeAndre Swift has been doing pretty well.
He's on pace for a thousand yards, he's on pace
for over ten touchdowns. But they would love to see
(19:26):
Kylemananngi get a little bit more involved in that early
down work. And it is somebody that you can keep on,
especially when you look at the schedule over the next
couple of weeks when they return from the bye. They
got the Commanders, the Saints, the Ravens and the Bengals.
Looking at the schedule before the season, you're like, well,
those are two losses. Now you look at the Bengals
game especially and the Ravens, those are two winnable games
(19:46):
for the Barristers, an opportunity for.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Kyle Manang guy and ladies and gentlemen watch up a us.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
All right, that was the Waiver Wire hot sauce for
Week five.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Proceed at your own risk. A lot of fun folks
aren't back in your lineups this week. Look at all
the talent that is on a buy or ruled out.
Jean Drake, London, Kile Blues from Doonsday, Jordan Love, the rest.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Of the Packers, Dk Metcalf carried a lot of folks
and yes, we're going to be without my league neighbors
and Tyreek Hill for the remainder of the season, and
it's early in the week, we could be missing some
more folks, so you might need this particular higher or
lower with Adam Kin, Marcus Grant more than ever as
we try to fill in some of those spots in
your lineup. And we'll start with Gino Smith going up
(20:31):
against the Indianapolis culture.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
You know, this is a tough one, but I think
I'm pretty comfortable saying this is going to be a
lower for me with Gino Smith. He struggled over the
last couple of weeks. He's had fewer than ten Fantasy
points in two out of his last three games. The
Colts defense has been playing a little bit better. Obviously
you saw Matthew Stafford have some success.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
But I think one of the things the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
Want to do in this one is to really establish
the line of scrimmage. Ashton Gent rushed for three touchdowns
this past weekend, so perhaps they go out there and
give more opportunities to him.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
If you're looking to stream.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
A quarterback this week, why I say just going back
to the waiver wire hot sauce and picking up Jackson Dart.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Instead speaking of hot This music is like an eighties
like montage where the gang is getting everything together to
face off against the big opponent. For Drake May, it's
the Buffalo Bills this week. High or lower than sixteen
point four, which is the projection on NFL dot gom Marcus.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, I'm on high.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
Drake Lay's going to help us save the Community Center
because that's what's going to happen this week against the
Buffalo Bills. I'm part of the reason I do believe
it can be higher is because of that rushing upside,
because May can get out of the pocket.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Make plays with his legs.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
The Bills have one of the worst rushing defenses, at
least statistically in the NFL through the first four weeks
of the season, so I think that's going to be
a big part of May's game. I also do think
the Buffalo is going to be able to get out
to a lead, which means we're going to see the
Patriots having to put the ball in the air a
lot more. In the second half, we saw them get
Stefan Diggs involved in a big way we don't Hunter
(21:56):
Henry is making plays and maybe they can start to
integrate Travon Henderson.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Little bit more of just asking for that, I.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
Don't know, But otherwise I think Drake may puts together
a pretty decent day for you in fantasy.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Said Dirk Bigler on the him and a chess Rock level.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
On the lyrics there, I think so lyrics a great
touch for us Kareem hunt the Chiefs where they fix
against the Baltimore Ravens. They've got the Jags this week,
harlower than nine point three ring.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
This isn't necessarily a great matchup for the Chiefs. I
know that I like Brishard Smith as a guy to
eventually replace him. I'm gonna go oh because I have
him right at ten points. I'm in a factor and
write about ten points. I don't think it's much higher
than nine points three. This is a pretty good projection
as far as I'm concerned. But again, this will be
interesting to see. I actually am doing my picks right now.
(22:44):
I'm picking the Jags to win this game. I'm getting
a little saucy. I really like what Liam Cohen's been
able to do with that team.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
I like the fire.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
I liked he was going after Robert Salah after the game.
Listen the guy walked into his press conference and bottled
it immediately by with the duval champ. But who's getting
the last laugh right out the three and one Jags.
But I do believe that Kareem Hunt will go over
just barely.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
I'm going to keep track of the Liam Cohen perceived
slights counter this season because it's starting to add up
as we go a little bit.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Zach Sharbone going.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marcus Harlowe is a
ten point one Fantasy points.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
I'm gonna go higher for Zach Charbonay, but like I'm
not gonna tell you that it's because he gets a
whole lot of opportunities or puts together a whole bunch
of big plays. It's mostly because of the touchdown upside
when he has been healthy. When he has been on
the field, he has had all of Seattle's goal line work.
The only two goal line carries for Kenneth Walker this
year came in the game that Charmoney didn't.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Play in Week three.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
So I think it's gonna be a back and forth game.
I expect to see a lot of points scored in
this one, and I think if the Seahawks get down deep.
We're gonna see Sharbony get those opportunities. It could be
another thing where he gets like ten carries for like
thirty five yards, but you know he gets in the
end zone and he gets you know you throwing it.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
You two there, and suddenly you're over ten point one points.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Fun game with two teams and with two of the
better records in the NFC.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
There, let's go to the Giants against the New Orleans Saints.
Wandale Robinson hire lower than twelve point none fantasy points work.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
The Saints are a lot better than people are giving
them credit for. They've been really you know, spirited, been
in a lot of these games. But I'm still gonna
go higher for Wandale Robinson. I do believe the Jackson
Dart is going to end up locking in on one guy,
and that one guy will be Wondale Robinson. I think
there's a pretty good opportunity. Wandale leads the Giants in
(24:36):
wide receiver leads Giants wide receivers in red zone targets
this season, and the Saints have allowed nine receiving touchdowns
this year. That is the tight for third in the NFL.
So I do believe there's going to be some opportunities there.
I kind of like Wondale Robinson is a sneaky that'll
start this week. I think he gets closer to twenty
twenty points.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Excuse me.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
This week, Let's go to our final player here in
higher or lower. That's Jerry Judy, who's the Minnesota Vikings
are in a loop. They're still international. Well, he scored
higher lower than twelve point six fantasy points this week, Marcus, Yeah, we're.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Going lower on that one.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
He hasn't touched anything like that so far this season.
Jerry Judy right now the wide receiver fifty five overall.
His season high is eleven point six fantasy points. And
as you mentioned, he's going against that Minnesota Vikings defense,
which has been really tough on wide receivers fewest fantasy
points per game to the position. Joe Flacco has been
(25:31):
under pressure. I imagine that is going to continue again
this week, which means it's really going to be hard
to get any downfield throws to Jerry Judy. That's why
we're seeing a lot of Harold Fannon underneath I We're
seeing a lot of Quinn Shawn Jenkins. I just don't.
I haven't really been big on Judy's production this year
and this week especially.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
I'm trying to stay away.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Yeah, coming off a rough game and an opportunity for
him to go back over and again. The Minnesota Vikings
get to stay overseas a short Earth flight for the Viking.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Ie Yeah, good, Hello forget it. If you gotta go,
go and stay.
Speaker 2 (26:03):

of My Five. With four weeks gone in the season,
you're starting to look around and figure out you need
to make roster changes, So how do you do it?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Time to make some trade.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
So I've got five guys you can buy low on
in a potential trade opunity. We'll start at number five
with Traveon Henderson. I know we keep waiting for the breakdown.
Little by little, though he's closing the gap with Ramandre Stevenson.
Week four, most of his work came in the first half,
four of his seven carries and both targets. Right now,
the Patriots bottom ten and rush yards per attempt tied
(27:17):
for the second most fumbled.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
Because of the two guys ahead of Henderson.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
So look, Hitterson at this point not likely to return
the third round draft value you probably spent on him,
but I expect he's gonna see more opportunity there for
the Patriots, and he's worth adding if you have the
RB depth to kind of wait a couple weeks for
the breakout to come.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
At number four, we go to Chicago. It's DJ Moore.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
Now, the usage hasn't been a problem, eighty eight percent
route participation. He's out there, he's running routes. The target
chair definitely could be better, just sixteen percent of targets
so far this season, but Chicago's going to need to
get him going. Yes, Romodunese has been great, They're gonna
need a little bit more than that. Look for Ben
Johnson to work on some things during the buye.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
I would expect.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
When the Bears are buying to see a lot.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
More DJ more in this offense.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
At number three, it's Brice Hall, and yeah, the price
might have gone up a little bit because partially of
what we saw from Breeze Hall last night. Also though,
because Braylen Allen dealing with an injury that's going to
put him on IR reduction's been up and down. Two
really good games in weeks one and four, two sketchy
games in weeks two and three, but the usage has
been solid, getting a bunch of snaps and carries. Second
(28:25):
on the team to Garrett Wilson in targets, averaging about
ten and a half Fantasy points per game entering week four.
That number went up a little bit after Monday Night Football.
That should continue to improve as he continues to get
the football. And look, you might have an impatient manager
who needs wins willing.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
To part rays with Breeze Hall.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
At number two, Derrick Henry outlook understanding.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Buying low on.
Speaker 5 (28:47):
Derek Henry still means you're gonna have to give up
something in return. This might be the best opportunity to
pry him away from another manager.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
It will get all year long, three.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
Straight games with fifty or fewer rushing yards had the
three fumbles in the first three weeks of season.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
In the long term, Derrick Henry is going to be okay.
Speaker 5 (29:03):
But if you got a nervous manager who's a little
bit sketchy about it, especially after seeing some big Justice
Hill plays, why not put an offer out there.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
See what you can get back in return. And at
number one it is A J. Brown. The Eagles.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
Yes, I get it, they are winning, but they're averaging
just four point two yards per play. That's tide for
third lowest in the league, lasting pass at simms per game.
That was the situation with them last year as well.
The difference though, being the run game is less efficient
this season, averaging one and a half fewer yards per
carry versus weeks one through four last year. Now you
got AJ Brown posting things cryptically on social media, I
(29:41):
Squeaky Will game potentially coming. It was gonna have to
start throwing the football more. Maybe take advantage of that
with a manager who's had enough of seeing a J.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Brown put a bad stat lines. And there you go.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Those are my five by low trade targets for week five.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Thank you, Marcus.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
You know AJ Brown's posting a book quote after a win.
I'm thinking about doing it after once again losing in fantasy.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
You know, I used to read books.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
That's until I campaigned to close the library in my
community because they wanted me to learn things about science
and the world that I live in. But those things
don't help me win fantasy football in neither did the
players that I started this week, starting with you, Sam Laporta. Oh,
Sam Laporta, He's this big six three, two hundred and
fifty pound red zone target. Why do all the red
zone targets go to a much smaller person? And I'm
(30:28):
on Ross Saint Brown, You're all that big, Sam?
Speaker 1 (30:31):
For no reason?
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Why the targets are when Jared Goff throws you the ball.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Target isn't the store that you.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Go help people off the things at the top shelf.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
You're not doing anything. You're going to get Tamart hot
dogs from the Amy that's not what I need from you. Sam,
First reach out, bod hold on.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
First of all, we save the We saved the library
and HB, so we're all good there. But Man, I
understand what you're talking about with Sam Laporta. You put
in a lot of draft capital by the time you
trade it in.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Your old dinged up board.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
You went to Harbor Surfboards and Seal Beach. You're like,
I'm gonna spend big on this board, and yeah, you're
still falling off the board like some sort of barnyard.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
I get that. But here's the.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Thing, man, I know that you think that you would
have been better off going to the Golden West swapmeat
and picking up a board for five bucks.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
But I'm going to tell you something right now.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Dude, look over your shoulder, Dude, look out on the horizon,
because approaching out there in the distance is the Yamy
of Bay of all fantasy matchups, It's the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Man.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
So before you get all chagrin you run over to
Don Ramons to go cry in your Fajidas.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
You just got to start and chill, bro. I should Sam.
I'm sorry, it only makes sense.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Things are going to get a whole lot better considering
the schedule. Thanks are getting word for Lad mccaukee. Things
are getting so much worse the wide receiver on the season, Ladd,
I drafted you in the second round. This is an
all time bait and switched. And I'm looking at home
the hometown of Chatsworth, Georgia, home of the lowest temperature
(32:11):
and recorded Georgia history.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
You know what else is ice cold?
Speaker 4 (32:15):
You?
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Lad? So that's why I'm getting off my roster. I
don't need Lad maconk Man. I get a dude is
down bad right now.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Nothing worse man to have like your worst time of
your life while all your buddies are out there shredding,
getting double overheads and just having the time of their
lives and you can't.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
And it's even like.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
One of the dudes who last season couldn't even like
stand on his board without pearl diving. And now that
dude is out there just putting up bookoo polates and
it's like, man, what do I gotta do to turn
this around? But here's the thing, Man, justin Herbert believes
in this dude, So now he's got to gather yourself together. Man,
you got the vulnerable commanders there, So go go have
(33:00):
yourself and Cassidy's burger and just Chimrath.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
I should know, lad, it only makes sense.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Things are going great. Your offense is good. The offic
is bad. In Cleveland, it's really bad. But you know
who it's worse for the guy who was.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Getting all kinds of inzo targets last year.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
That's David and Joku, and now he's not even the
best sight in on his team.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
What happened to the relationship with Joe Flacco? David, A
guy named Harold comes in and all of a sudden,
their besties.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
They're having breakfast, they're sitting together at lunch. Where are you?
Why can't you manage your friendships?
Speaker 4 (33:33):
Yeah, I'll first of all, I know better than the
ever step to David and Joku. I'm never gonna do
that again. But like, oh man, I'm glad I squashed
that beat. But I understand what it's like, dude, when
some wrote somebody knew like Harold just rolls up and
just takes the quarterback's affection. It's like when Rick Kane
moved to the North shore Man and he took all
(33:55):
of turtles love. Because now, all of a sudden. You
know what, Nobody had love for Turtle at that point.
He was just sitting there hanging out. He had to
watch Chandler go out there and just deal and have
fun and teach Rick Kine how to surf on that
big longboard with no skag and all that stuff. Poor
Turtle was out there in the shop shape and doing
(34:17):
what he did best. Nobody had love for Turtle. But eventually, man,
everybody did the right thing. Turtle went out there on
his brand new board and went out there and was
shredding everywhere.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
So I know how this story ends.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
So when it comes to my guy David and Joku,
you got chip.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Bra, I should I should? I should chill on everybody.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
As we've discussed, there's only certain circumstances, one in particular,
where it's okay to tweet a players, and that's if
they're also coaching the Ryder Cup team.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Thanks for a while.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
More to come, including a bit of a slow start
for some rookie running backs, but who did things ever change?
In Week four, we discuss the trends for the rookie
runners coming up next on an NFL Fantasy lot Welcome

and embargoes apply top for us to crown the cardio
king for Week four, this week's honor goes to the Chargers.
Ladd McConkie. Rank may have calmed me down about Lad's future,
but Week four consisted of one thousand and sixty yards
(35:31):
of sprints and just two point one Fantasy points. As
a result, we hope for better things to come for Lad,
but at the very least, you got your cardio in.
But it's not the most cardio filled performance of the
twenty twenty five season thus far.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Depends on how you want to slice it.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Darius Slayton could be the overall cardio king because he
got bageled going one thousand and eighty.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
One yards with the Xavier Lagetz game.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
In Week two one three hundred and twenty one yards.
I'm gonna say that that's the one with zero point
eight Fantasy Football points for the second year receiver for
the Carolina Panthers. But let's talk about the first year
opportunity for some running backs that we've had here.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
In twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Guys that had slow starts like Ashton Genty really arrived
thirty three point five points against rank Chicago Bears.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
They didn't win that game. Right now, there's the thing.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
The Bears running defense has not been playing very well
over the course of the opening stands of the season.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
And I think.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Everybody the fantasy community doesn't really ever agree on anything,
but I think we had a one hundred percent agreement
that that was going to be astroon Gent's breakout game
and it.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Wasn't just him.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
Look at the percentage to change in Snapshire for Junkins, Scattaboo,
Marx Hampton, Bill Merritt, travi on r J, Harvey, Aston Genty,
everybody getting more opportunity leading to one of the better
weeks that we've seen for rookie running backs.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
And for like.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
A guy like Amarion Hampton, it happened in games where
he didn't even get a lot of touches.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
Right, Yeah, it's one of those things too, And obviously
Amarion Hampton was able to take advantage of an opportunity
that was with It happened after an injury to Najie Harris.
One of the things that really stood out to me
about Amari and Hampton in this game was the fact
that he was targeted five times out of the backfield.
Were sitting here talking about the Cardio King QJ and
(37:25):
all those guys and Keenan Allen. With so many pass
catchers on this Chargers team, the fact that he's still
getting five targets is significant to me.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
Yeah, I mean, like the way he really stepped up
in the absence of Najie Harris is impressive.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Another guy, though, who I'm really.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
Impressed with the stepping up is Woody Marx down there
in Houston, and look the news around Joe Mixon is
cloudy at best. Certainly some suggestions it's going to be
a while before we see him.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
And it's been nice to see Nick Chubb play the
way he has, But watching.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
The Sexans offense, Woody marks as as they would say,
the juice. I mean, he looks affected running the football.
One of his calling cards coming out of college at
two different college stops was being able to catch the football,
and he's become a big part of the passing game
right there.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
So this was a guy that he wasn't considered.
Speaker 5 (38:10):
Amongst those top level guys like we weren't talking about him,
like Marion Hampton or Trevion Henderson, r J.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Harvey.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
But he's gotten into a nice situation and to this
point he's taking advantage of it to the point that
I think he's really earning more snaps and more opportunities
as the season progresses.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
And to reiterate an earlier point, we love Woody Marx.
We don't like Woody from Toy Story. Yes, that's in
case there's a little confusion back then. If anybody we
actually Vanessa had to leave because we were so mean
to Woody from Toy Story.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
But I think it's well, just.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Yeah, Vanessa understands of what he manages his jealousy. There's
multiple movies that don't happen because everybody is in a
much better situation, a better situation for guys like Quinn
Shawn Judkins as well as Cam Scattaboo, who I know.
Jackson Dark provides a lot to the Giants offense, but
the before Scoutaboo and after Scout numbers for the Giants
(39:01):
running game is significant.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Well.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
I like the fact that Jackson Dart is so mobile
and it does add to the running game, and it
really will open up both running lanes for both players.
I think that both of them can go out there
and have really good performances running the football.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
We see him as a receiver out of the backfield
as well.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
I really do believe that Jackson Dart is going to
be good for this team and good for the running attack.
And Cam Scataboo if you were able to draft him,
but he was one of those players that it always
felt like you were drafting him too early. I think
that this happened with Traveon Henderson. It happened with Cam Scataboo.
It felt like you were drafting him too early, but
it's going to end up paying off.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
I do think some of that you talk about drafting
guys too early.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
We heard a lot going into the.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
NFL Draft about how deep, how good this rookie class was,
and I think it sort of translated to fantasy where
we got really hyped about opportunities. Certainly seeing them in
the preseason got a little bit got everybody a little
bit excited. I think there's still more to come. You know,
we talked so much about the post buy rookie bump,
so some of these guys are gonna get a week
off maybe to regroup, refreshed, and their coaches will have
(40:04):
an opportunity to sche more things up. So as great
as this week was for a lot of guys, I
think there's still better days ahead for a lot of
these rookie running back.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Important to consider, as Marcus points out, that a lot
of the game planning might not have included this amount
of opportunity for these guys considering it was just week four.
It I can't wait to see how these rookie runners
do in week five and beyond. Here in the twenty
twenty five season. For half of you, it's victory Tuesday,
as you have sent us your tales of victory, and
(40:33):
we will regale you with praise here on our show
because that's what we're here for. We'll start with Nah,
the Green Bay defense almost solely, but thanks to the
Michael Parsons SAC ended up winning byzero point six.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
Lmao. I was doing the same thing.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
I was like, you know, I just get just make
the solid football move rank don't let your bias get
into it.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
And it almost cosme the Thrill House starting Woody Marks.
He did it way. Let's show.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Yeah, we're team Woody marks here.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Yeah, all right, the Puka Doncic congratulations there, picked up
and started dart with Jaden Daniels out plus Pooka of course,
which makes sense.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
Well, I think, Puka, we're kind of like over, we're
kind of brushing past that.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
You have like forty points. Great job, greg Ey.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Mcgreg switching Tyreek Hill for George Pickens five minutes before
the Cowboys get that was a good picking start, pick
and start.
Speaker 5 (41:24):
You know, obviously unfortunately the Tyreek Hill injury, but you know,
in terms of the numbers, it, you know, turned out
your intuition was right.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
All right.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
This one from our graphics producer, Kay Bow Knicks last
pass touchdown put him up point two. The chase reception
of the next Bengals drift and survived the kneel downs
with the Broncos defense able to.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
Win by point four. That is threading the needle, folks.
There's a lot of.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
Stuff going on there. If all these things happened, I'll win.
And they actually did. Unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
The Rude Goldberg of fantasy devices.
Speaker 4 (41:55):
It's always good when you have a calculator like I need, well,
this is what I need.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
I need a bone.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
Next touchdown I need a Jamar chase for two and
then you can allow more than four yards or whatever.
