Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a Week ten edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm Marcus Grant.
Speaker 1 (00:03):
I'll be joined by Adam Rank and Michael f Florio
will tell you who will take your fantasy breath away
in Berlin. Plus if there was anything to learn from
the Broncos Thursday night win over the Raiders, and who
could score first in the Steelers Chargers matchup at so Fine.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Wow, that'd be Friday.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Everybody.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Welcome to another edition of NFL Fantasy Line. I'm Marcus Grant,
That's Adam Rank, that is Michael f Florio Florio. Of
all the games that have happened in the history of
the NFL, last night was one of them.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Did you get involved in any way, shape or form
I had.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
I faced a surprising amount of players from last night's game,
which was the best case scenario in my league of record.
My Broncos defense outscored my opponents Bo Nicks and Courtland
Sutton combined. So I actually enjoyed last night's game unlike
many others.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
How about you.
Speaker 5 (00:58):
I know I one of my most important leagues. I
was going up against Brock Bauers, and I'm like, all right, Yeah,
the proper week to be playing brock Bauers.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Absolutely, I've decided I'm no longer starting quarterbacks on Thursday night.
Last week I started Tua. This week I started bo Nicks.
Based on the matchups, I think I'm pretty much out
of that. So anyway, in a foul play in the
first ever game in Berlin at the Falcons and the
coltson as we're breaking this one down, right, what do
you see it.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Happening over there?
Speaker 5 (01:23):
Well, you know, I think it will be a game
that will feature two of the running attacks. And I'll
talk about that a little I got I got some
information for that a little bit later on in the show.
But for me, I still say that you got to
go out there and start. Drake London, who has had
at least twenty five Fantasy points in three of his
last four games. He is being targeted an awful lot
this season. He's had five receiving touchdowns since Week four,
(01:47):
which is tied for the second most amongst wide receivers.
And I can sit here and go over some of
the numbers for the Indianapolis Colts. However, this week they
made one of the most stunning deals at the trade
deadline when they acquired Sauce Gardner. Wait will he travel
with Drake Lennon. There's a lot to be seen what's
gonna happen with this Colts defense. But I still feel
(02:07):
very confident in starting Drake London.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Now, I think you should get London into your lineups.
I don't feel as confident with Indiana Jones because Daniel
Jones had his worst performance of the year last week
in a game that the Steelers sacked him a season
high five times.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
And if you read stardom, sitdo. My theory with Jones is.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
That you could play him when he's not constantly going
to be under pressure. Unfortunately for him, this week, the
Falcons have created sacks at the sixth highest rate. They've
also allowed the fewest passing yards, six fewest fantasy points
per game, and have allowed just one top ten fantasy
quarterback all year. See it don't be surprised that this
is a game where the running backs are the star
(02:49):
more a little bit more than the quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
You can see mister Indiana Jones and the Colts taken
on the Falcons in a first for the NFL. The
International Series takes the field in Berlin for the first
time ever. Sunday nine, thirty am Eastern only on NFL
Network and streaming with NFL Plus subscription required. For NFL Plus,

(03:11):
game previews going as we come back Stateside for the
Lions and the Commanders and Florida.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
What are you looking at for this one?
Speaker 4 (03:19):
So if you go look at the comments on YouTube
for Stardom, sit them.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
They're like, stop forcing Jamison Williams on us. Nope.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
I've been saying the sitt Williams for the last couple
of weeks, but I think this is a week you
go and you start him. After talking about getting him
more involved, they gave him six targets last week, which
was the third most he's had in a game this season,
and I'd argue their offense looked its best when they
started including him downfield. But this is all about the
matchup to me, the Commander's secondary is extremely banged up
(03:46):
and they've allowed the fourth most yards on deep passes
to receivers. Speed has clearly giving them a lot of trouble.
We know Jamison Williams's boom or bust, but this week
I think the upside and the chances of him hitting
are high enough to make him a wide receiver three
or flex start.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Hey, John Morton, apologize for Jamison Williams not being a
bigger thing.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
So Florio, you were not out of touch.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
It's the Lions who were wrong by In the meantime,
you can start Jared Goff this week. I know it's
been sort of met with him most of the season,
averaging a mediocre seventeen fantasy points per game. Most of
his big games have come against bad defenses this season,
and he gets to face a Washington defense that has
been pretty un good, especially over the last three weeks
or so, giving up over nine or almost nine hundred
(04:28):
passing yards with ten touchdowns. We've seen the last three
quarterbacks they faced, Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes, and Sam Donald
all give twenty two or more fantasy points. So it
feels like a good week for Jared Goff to sort
of get right a little bit.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
A big one in the NFC.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Wes the Rams heading up to the Bay Area to
take on these San Francisco forty nine ers, and I'm
going to tell you, despite my nin er fandom, that
you should absolutely must start kyn Williams. Peyno attention to
the fact that you saw a lot of Blake Korham
last week. Yeah, he did get some run in that
Rams offense, but Williams is the RB one for Sean McVay,
almost seventy five percent of the snaps, two thirds of
(05:04):
the rushing attempts, seventy five percent of the snaps from
inside the five, and all of the work in the
two minute drill. This is a Niner run defense that,
even after losing Fred Warner, maybe not as bad as
you think they are, but there's still a below average
run defense. And Williams had a pretty good game against
the Niners when they played earlier in the season one
hundred and thirty one scrimmage yards and a pair of touchdowns.
(05:26):
I think he can get a lot of work done
again this week.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
With the forty nine ers lack and stopping the run
they make up for and allowing the fourth most receptions
to wide receivers this season, which is why I would
advocate starting Devonte Adams this week. Of course, you're starting
putting a COO. We don't need to go over that.
But if you're sitting there contemplating what to do with
DeVante Adams, the answer is very simple.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Get him into your lineup.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
As a matter of fact, later on in this show,
I'm gonna take this one step further. That's right, We're
gonna take it to the rank a little bit later.
Can't give it away right now. You're gonna have to
sit here. If you're catching a flight at Long Beach
Airport and you don't know, text me.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
I'll tell you what it.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Is, all right, So just be sure for that. We
are off to Minnesota. We're gonna blow the Yellar horn.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
When I do that. Okay, So then what are we
doing for Ravens Vikings. You know what we're gonna do.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
We're gonna go this is It's so funny because fantasy
people they make me laugh. People hate Mark Andrews. Why
do they hate Mark Andrews? He scores too many touchdowns?
Like you know that sounds like a problem. I go
the other way.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
I'm good. Help, We're not doing that.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
We're we're gonna start Mark Andrews and hope that he
scores a touchdown. I know it angers you. Nothing will
get a fantasy enthusiast upset. You guys can go out
there to the King's Classic and sit around the Buffalo
Wild Wings and be like, we don't like this guy.
He scores touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I will not thanks anyways.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
I will say this like I've I like guys who
score touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
That's my that's my weird thing.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
I know.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I'm a musual that way.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
And people are like, we like volume me like this,
I'm like, yeah, how'd that work out for brock Bowers
last night? I look for the guy who's going to
be targeted. I think with tight ends, especially once you
get past the initial tier, if you miss out on
Trey mcbriden people like that, then all I want is
the possibility of a touchdown. He's gonna get four passes
thrown his way, three of them will be in the
end zone. I will take those odds. If I end
(07:21):
up getting three points. Listen, it's the same thing brock
Bowers gave me in a couple of leagues.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I'll roll with it.
Speaker 6 (07:28):
I can't speak highly enough of the Fantasy XPO. If
you could join us this summer, you should.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
I think you should also be sitting Jordan Mason in
this one. Since Aaron Jones returned in those last two games.
Jordan Mason has six point three Fantasy points, not per
game total, like.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
That is just unusable.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
And I think the Ravens this week, a lot of
people are gonna think the Vikings are in play.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
It's a trap in my opinion.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
The Ravens are in the bottom five and fantasy points
per game allowed to running backs in the last month.
On top of that, Lamar's back. Their offense is clicking
on all cylinders. I worry about Jordan Mason getting game
scripted out because at the Vikings are chasing points.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
I think that means more Aaron Jones, who is the
better receiver in that backfield.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Besides, the party has moved from beat ups to jerseys.
Now that's kind of where everything happened.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Anyway, Okay, we have dilly dallaid enough.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Let's get to what happened last night in Thursday night football.
It was not the most exciting outcome. Ten seventy Broncos
gonna win there seven. I don't think that works. Not
a lot of fantasy points to be had. But from
watching that one last night, Florida, what did you take away?
Speaker 6 (08:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:34):
On Monday this past week, I tweeted out some stats
and I was like, is Troy Franklin the new wide
receiver one in Denver? And you guys all watched last
night tell me he is not. So I'm saying that
Troy Franklin is the new.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
Wide receiver one for the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
On the year.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
He leads them in targets, catches, receiving touchdowns, air yards,
and he has twice as many ends on targets as
anyone else on this team. Him and in our neck
and neck fantasy wise, because Sutton does have the edge
in yards, but Nix has left a lot of production
on the field when targeting Troy Franklin. But he is
going to him more than anyone, and in fantasy volume
(09:11):
is what we care about because that helps us project
moving forward. I want Troy Franklin on some.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Rosters, all right.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
So there's Troy Franklin that seems to be on the
good side of things. I'm gonna tell you that sadly,
we got to stop trying to make our j Harvey happen.
And we've all done it, every single one of us,
Hill has done it. At some point, we have to
sort of follow Sean Payton's actions and listen less to
his words. It seems like Sean Payton doesn't want it
to happen. So I guess we have to sort of
(09:37):
follow suit there. Harvey has played fewer than twenty snaps
in eight of Denver's ten games so far this season.
He's had thirty or fewer scrimmage yards in six games. Yeah,
he's had a couple of nice big production in terms
of big plays here and there. He's found the end
zone a couple of times. But it's just so inconsistent
that it's really hard to make this thing happen.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
We all want it to happen. We love the talent.
Sean Payton doesn't love him as much as we do.
Can't stop, won't stop, won't do it whenever possible. I
will get there.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
I don't think that I learned this on Thursday night,
but these Broncos uniforms are fantastic.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Christ make these the uniforms. Why do you?
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Why can't we just have nice things? I think this
uniform matchup should be the one that we see most often.
This was the best part of this game was just
watching these uniforms. It made what we were watching on
the field a little bit more palatable. Now, obviously, with
Brock Bowers, people are like what do we People are like,
what do we do? With brock Bowers, and those people
are producers who are trying to fill time on this
show with things that are never Nobody's training brock Bowers.
(10:37):
Nobody's going to give away brock Bowers. He is going
to be just fine. But the cool thing too, is
like these these divisional rivalry games. This is one of
the things I've really loved about Thursday night Football. Outside
of the Miami and who they play, the Ravens, all
these games have been divisional games and what that means
they're very close and the underdogs tend to do that.
(10:58):
The underdogs might not win, but they do well appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
We should clip that and play it again next Thursday
ahead of Jets and Patriots.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
It's gonna listen, everybody's gonna be like burying the Jets.
The Jets have no chance. Why do we even watch this?
And then it's gonna be a close scoring game. It
might not be exciting yet though they traded their best corner,
they traded their defensive line. Williams, I'll do it.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
But anyways, we get a little bit further into that game.
The Broncos offense was not great. The Raiders offense was
not great. You mentioned brock Bowers, this was the week.
If you're gonna face them, this is the week to
do it. Going forward, though, if you have say brock Bauers,
Ashton Gent, are you you're looking to move any one
of those guys?
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Nope, I'm cool.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
You know what, the best kid, I was hoping that
he was gonna be able to do something nothing like
literally he gave us the Blue Tarski line, which was nothing.
And this is the thing about brock Bowers, like there
are going to be bad games. Like even said this,
people are so reactive. They want to live in the moment.
Like everybody, you're either a bost or you're the great
or you're the greatest tight end of all time.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
There's no in between.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
There are gonna be moments this span this season where
your guy doesn't score the points that you thought he
was gonna score, and guess what you move on to
next week. It's just one of those things like this
is what fantasy football is all about. So I'm absolutely
not panicking on brock Bowers at all. I will start
him every week and Astroon Genty probably as well.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Yeah, Asha Genty is the only player who really went
out and gave you what you expected last night, like
he was the highest scorer in the game with fifteen
point three Fantasy points, and that's five of his last
six he has scored fifteen or more. But what I
don't think is getting talked about enough is in his
last two games he has five targets.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
In each of those.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
They are actively trying to include him more in the
passing game. We know he's got the groundwork on lock.
He has every goal line carry for the Raiders this year.
I know he hasn't lived up to the lofty expectations
we put on him, but he is a wide receiver one,
and if anyone out there at all is disappointed or
panicking on him, then you should be absolutely trying to
buy a low But I just I think everyone is
(13:05):
happy with Ashi Gentzi because he's performing like an RB one.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I mean, was it over for brock Powers when the
Germans bump Pearl Harbor Germans?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Anyway?
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Forget, We're gonna head on down to Tampa for the
Patriots and the Buccaneers and rank what do you like
in this one?
Speaker 5 (13:20):
I really like a Mecca Buca, who has been coming
on strong this season, really bailed out a lot of
people I was drafting was a wide receiver three all
over the place, But now he's become like my most
dependable guy. This week, he's got to come through.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
You know.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
We see sometimes with these rookie wide receivers they hit
this point of the season and then they start to
taper off a little bit.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
We need to see it.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
And over the last couple of weeks he has had
at least nine targets in two out of his last three.
He leads the Buccaneers and all the relevant passing category.
So despite going up against a pretty tough Patriots defense,
we need a Mecca Buca to come through and I'm
starting him.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Yeah, I'm so excited to get him back in my
starting lineup. But I don't feel that way about Rashad
White this week because I think the Patriots are the
best run defense in football. They've allowed the fewest rushing
yards to running backs just three point one yards per carry,
and they allow explosive runs at the lowest rate in
the NFL for fewest fantasy points per game two running backs.
(14:19):
If you are starting White, you are hoping for some
catches in the passing game. But the last two games
he's given you less than nine fantasy points, and I
worry with this matchup that it could become three in
a row.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Now, all right, we.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Are gonna take on the Browns.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
They are heading up to New York to take on the Jetropolitans.
And Florio not big on the Jets quarterbacks this week?
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Huh No, I'm big on the Mets, but not on
the Jets. So yeah, I think you sit the Jets
quarterbacks this week. Brother, I expect it to be justin Fields,
but Aaron Glenn is playing this QB game even though
they just won their only game with Fields as the starter.
But the reason I'm worried is because the Browns they
have generated sacks at the third highest rate. The Jets
(15:00):
meanwhile give them up at the fourth highest. They allow
pressure at the highest rate. The Browns have also allowed
the fourth fewest passing yards. But what worries me even
more the second fewest rushing yards. Two quarterbacks and no
rushing touchdowns. So if you can't bank on Fields or
Tyrod running, I don't think those that is a week
you want to start them in Fantasy.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
On the other side, or I guess on the same side,
I have the Jets as a sleeper defense. And I
know that seems a little bit weird, right. They just
traded away Sauce Gardner, they got rid of Quinn Williams.
You're losing two of your best pieces on that side
of the ball.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Look, this is less.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
About the Jets and more about the Browns because he
here's the thing about the Browns offense.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
It's not good Dylan Gabriel.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Since he's become the starting quarterback, he's been sacked eleven
times in four games. The Browns are bottom five in
yards gained and in points scored. And I'm gonna be
honest with you, if you're not a fan of either
one of these teams and you're watching this game willingly,
I think there's an eight hundred number that you can
call to just have somebody to talk to about what's
going on with yourself.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
For sure. Next up we got the Jaguars and the Texans.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
And I'll just keep it over here and I will
say that I like Dalton Schultz as a sleeper this week.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Now, if CJ.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Stroud were starting, we know he is out as he's
in concussion protocol. I feel maybe a little bit better,
but it's not really that much of a difference because
even when Davis Mills was in last week, Dalton Schultz
was kind of the second option in the passing game.
He's had six games and at least six targets. He's
going against, say Jaguar defense that if allowed double digit
weeks to four different tight ends now, yet one of
them was Brock Bauers going for forty points. I mean,
(16:32):
those sort of things happen with a guy like Brock Bauers,
but they've also given up double digit games to fantasy
luminaries like Jake Tunchs, Terrence Ferguson, and AJ Barners. So
I do think there's an opportunity for Dalton Schultz to
have some play here this week.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
You know, I'm gonna look.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
At a sleeper in this contest, and I'm gonna go
with Bachell tooting. Not necessarily the easiest matchup, but I
will say there is a little bit of hope because
the Texans have a lot of touchdown on just over
sixty six percent of red zone drives this season. That's
tied for the six highest total in the NFL. So
there might be some problems moving the ball through. I mean,
(17:08):
you got to get to the red zone to be there.
But we've seen that Tuden has taken advantage of his
opportunities three scrimmage touchdowns this season. Travis Etn also locked
in at the same number last week and week nine
he had a career high nine a Russi attempts and
touch ten touches, And we.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Were talking about him on the hype train.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
I think that in one of these situations where you
are really desperate for a running back, which I just
happened to be in a number of spots, especially in
fourteen team leagues, Tutin's in that lineup.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
There's nothing I can do. Hey, it happens. It happens
to the best of us.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
But to help us make a little bit more sense
of this Jaguars Texans game, We're going to turn it
over to our next Gen Nugget and our researcher, Kendall
Mursky aka next Gen kN And you were diving into something.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
You got a little bit more about this game, don't you? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (17:53):
I do.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
I want to talk about Trevor Lawrence this week, and
I'm worried that people are going to turn him as
a bye week filling with Mahomes, Dak Prescott and Flacco
on a buy. I know Lawrence has scored seventeen plus
in each of his last four games, but the Texans
have allowed the fewest fantasy points to the position this season.
The main reason I'm concerned is because of how well
the Texans plays zone coverage. They run it at the
(18:15):
fourth highest rate, and they're super effective when they run
it first in passyards per attempt passer rating EPA per dropback,
and Lawrence is twenty eighth, twenty third and sorry, twenty eighth,
twenty eighth, and twenty third in those same categories. So,
simply put, this matchup just doesn't favor Lawrence. He's showed
that in Week three versus the Texans with under eight
(18:38):
fantasy points, his season low in that week. And if
you need a bye week fill in, I just suggest
pivoting elsewhere. Sam Darnold and Jackson Dart would be my
preferred options, but if those guys aren't available, I think
Marcus Mariota and even Bryce Young would be an option
this week. And I know, Rank, you'll be talking up
Bryce Young later in the show, so God nice, you've
talked that up.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
I'm writing us down because I'm literally going to drop
Trevor Lawrence. What if I have I know we're so
worried about Brian Thomas Junior, Like if it's if it's
a stack situation, or would you still want to go
at Bryce Young.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
I think I'd still go Bryce Young. I think they're
going to try to incorporate Jakobe Myers as much as
they can, especially with all of those injuries and everyone
that's banged up there, and we've seen through this season,
Trevor Lawrence's preferred options seems to be Parker Washington.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
No matter how you slice it.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I'm doing it right now. I'm looking at Mariota, Lawrence,
and Young.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
I picked Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
I'm going to rectify that as soon as we hit
the brake here. So thanks a lot for that one, Kendall.
When we come back, I will no longer have Trevor
Lawrence in my starting lineup. Plus, our fantasy game previews
continue with Aaron Rodgers and Justin Herbert squaring off Sunday
night right next door to us at so FI Stadium.

Time for if you Know, You Know, as we catch
you up on some important headlines for your fantasy weekend.
We'll start in Carolina, where Dave Canalis delivered mixed news today,
telling reporters that the Panthers Rico Dowdle was a full
participant in practice on Friday, so keep him in your lineup. However,
Tetoroa McMillan is now questionable with a hamstring injury and
will be reevaluated on Saturday. In Buffalo, James Cook was
(20:41):
back at practice today after missing sessions earlier in the
week due to foot ankle soreness. When the start running
back was asked whether or not he'll be on the
field Sunday, he told reporters that he was quote ready
to go and good news in DC, where the Commanders
will not be putting Jaden Daniels on injured reserve team,
said that the star quarterback won't need so sy although
Daniels is still out indefinitely. This news keeps the possibility
(21:04):
alive and he could return later in the season. So
ran because we take a look at what's going on
there in Washington, Jade and Daniels injured, we know that
Terry McLaurin still sort of banged out. Where are you
at this point on starting any Commanders?
Speaker 5 (21:16):
I mean, and it's difficult too, because if Jayden Daniels
is on the IR, you could use the IR spot
in your lineup, but you have to hold on to him.
I can't get rid of him. But when it comes
to the rest of the Commanders, I think I'm out.
I don't think. I don't really want any part of
this offense. I really need to see it. I know
that at some point the quarterback that's coming to play
pretty well in stretches, but with the running back situation,
(21:37):
I know we're very positive about Big Bill coming into
this season.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Terry mclaurin's been banged up.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
Even Deebo Samuel hasn't really been able to get much
traction going.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
So for me, I'm going to be looking at other options.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Yeah, I agree, I don't really want to play any
of the Commanders without Jaden Daniels. But I do think
Marcus Mariota is an option if you are in a
pinch at quarterback. He's made three starts this year and
his top sixteen Fantasy points in two of them, top
twenty in one of them. But what I like, and
the whole reason I think he's in play, is because
he runs at least twenty rushing yards in each game.
(22:12):
He's always a threat near the goal line to run
and this week against the Lions, they are likely chasing
points some more dropbacks not only means more passing attempts,
it could also mean more scrambling for Marcus Mariota. So
in the Fantasy Live league I lost Jayden Daniels.
Speaker 6 (22:27):
I might be playing him over justin fields this week.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Wow, I know how much of a justin field stand
you are. So that is a big statement without a doubt.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yet, kind of tough times there in Washington, especially on
the fantasy front. Turning our attention to Steelers in Charger
game is going to happen right across the street from
where we are right now, and I get it. Last
week was not a good one for Kimani Vidal. I'm
telling you to keep the faith I'm telling you to
start him this week against the Pittsburgh defense. The Chargers
have been a one back offense pretty much since Omarion
(22:56):
Hampton went down with an injury. Since Week six, nearly
two thirds of the carries for Los Angeles, seventy five
percent of the carries inside the five yard line, seventy
five percent of the two minute snaps.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
That part is important.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Because if the Chargers are in that two minute offense
and they're throwing the ball to the back, you can
go and pick up a whole lot of points at
a short amount of time. So always good to kind
of get those opportunities. Opportunity the lifeblood of fantasy success.
I think Vandal's going to get a lot of it
coming up this week against Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
I need that because I have the doll in a
number of lineups. But I think on the other side,
you could play the running back.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
There as well. Jalen Warren.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
In the last three weeks he is eighty percent of
the running back carries for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He gets
all the goal on work in that span as well.
He has been a safe floor option with over thirteen
Fantasy points in five of his last seven, but this
could be an upside week for him. As the Chargers
they're a sneaky good matchup for running backs. They've allowed
nearly five yards per carry and they give up explosive
(23:54):
runs at the second highest rate in the NFL.
Speaker 6 (23:57):
So Warren, with all that volume, I think go ahead
and you start him this week.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
All right, We'll see if those running backs can seize
the opportunity. In the meantime, for us, it is time
for Seize the season presented by Caesars Sportsbook, And according
to Caesars Sportsbook, here are the most likely players to
score the first touchdown during this week's Sunday night showdown
between these Steelers and the Chargers. Just see those two
running backs Comini by Dal and Jalen warn atop the list,
followed by DK Metcalf, Ladd mcconkeye, and Ronde Gatst in
(24:26):
the second. So no keenan Allen in that list right now, Florio,
of those guys, who is most likely?
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Or are you gonna go off menu?
Speaker 7 (24:34):
Now?
Speaker 6 (24:34):
I'm gonna go on menu.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
I'm gonna go with the guy that we have spent
so much time on the Fantasy Football Show debating this season.
My boy Ladd mcconkeye because in the last five games
he leads the Chargers and end zone targets. In fact,
in that span in the whole NFL, only Trey McBride
has more end zone targets. He also leads the Chargers
and targets and yards against man coverage after being one
(24:59):
of the very best receivers against that coverage last season.
Luckily for him and the Steelers, they play man at
the fourth highest rate in the NFL. So I think
this is a good week for Lad and I think
he finds the end zone as well.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Now I will see if he not. So we lad
mcconkee can find the painted area. New users can bet
one dollar to boost their next twenty bets by one
hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Must be twenty one or older.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Cecesars dot Com slash promos for full terms.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
As the reigning undisputed number one Josh Allen fan on
this show, I will tell you that you are starting
Josh Allen this week, but I do want to dive
too deep into that one. What about one of his
wide receivers, Michael, Yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
Think you play. You play Josh Allen and you played
Khalil Shakir. This week, who has had such a safe
floor both this year and historically in this matchup. In
six of eight games this season, he is top eleven
fantasy points and he went for fifteen.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
Earlier this year against Miami.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
He has scored double digits now in four straight games
against them.
Speaker 6 (26:00):
But what I really like, we're seeing them throw the
ball to him more.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
And this is about the time last year they started
dialing his number a little bit more. So if you
go to a little bit deeper at wide receiver, I
think Shakiir is a very safe option.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
The Buffalo Bills have allowed the third most rushing yards
to running backs this season, which is why I say
it's a good idea to start Devon Ahchan. The Bills
have allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game to
the position. But when you look at the history of
Devon Han against this Bills team, he has six scrimmage
touchdowns in five career games against the Buffalo Bills. All right,
(26:33):
let's move on to Chicago, where the Bears are returning
home to face the New York Giants. And this week,
Roma Dounza's dad made waves when he was asking for
more targets to be funneled to his son. I'm gonna
follow suit and say that Roma Dounza is a start
this week against the Giant.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
They were throwing to throw to him. It just didn't
work out.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
In a game where you scored forty seven points against
the Cincinnati Bengals, it does feel unusual that Roma do.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
They didn't have a single point.
Speaker 5 (27:01):
But still he leads the team and end zone targets
this season. But Michael, what do you see on the
other side of the football.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Yeah, As the biggest Caleb fan on this show, I'm
gonna tell you you must start the other quarterback in
this one, Jackson Dart, who has averaged twenty two point
four fantasy points per game as a starter. Only Lamar,
Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes top that number this season,
and it's because he gives you elite rushing production. He
is a rushing touchdown in all but one start this season,
(27:31):
fifty or more rushing yards in four of his six
and the Bears they've bellowed the second most pass touchdown
seventh most fantasy points per game two quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
So you absolutely have to start Jackson Dart this week.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
We're gonna have the battle of the Birds up in
the Pacific Northwest this weekend, as the Arizona Cardinals travel
to Seattle to take on my guy, Sam Clemente.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
And the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
I will ask you, though, with Kyler Murray being placed
on IR this week, what does that mean for Jacoby Brissett.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
I think Perssett is a sleeper in this matchup. I
think he is just underrated from an NFL standpoint on
my hot take, as I think every year he's one
of the best thirty two quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
On the planet.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
But since he's become the starter for the Cardinals, he's
thrown multiple passing touchdowns in each game and he's top
twenty fantasy points in each as well. He's finished as
a top twelve fantasy quarterback in all three of those games.
And while Seattle is a middle of the pack matchup,
they do score a lot of points, so we could
see per set having to air it out a little
(28:34):
bit more in this matchup as well.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
Those Arizona Cardinals have allowed the siventh most fantasy points
per game to wide receivers over the last two weeks,
which I makes me want to start Rashid Shaheed in
this one. He's had at least eleven Fantasy points in
back to back games. This will be his first time
playing with Sam Clemente and the Seattle Seahawks. However, last
season he played with Clint Kubiak and when he was
(28:59):
the offensive core for the New Orleans Saints. So there
is going to be not a big learning curve. And
the learning curve too is like, dude, run fast and
run down the field. Sam will find a way to
get you the football. Speaking of the New Orleans Saints,
Alvin Kamara banged up a little bit, been struggling so
this week against the Carolina Panthers. I'm looking at this matchup.
Kenda was talking about this earlier. I've already made the move.
(29:22):
Bryce Young is a sleeper for me in this contest.
He the Saints have led a top ten quarterback in
five of their last eight games. They've allowed at least
two touchdown passes in seven games this season.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
That's tied for the most in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (29:38):
You know what, though these always look good on paper,
I can't guarantee the same kind of success, but he
is a good sleeper option. Is there anybody, though, Michael,
that you would advocate starting from the New Orleans Saints.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
Not if I don't have to, Like, I wish Crystal
Love was on a different team right now, but he
didn't get traded. So I think you could try and
and sit him because last week with Tyler Schuck in
his first start the Saints, scorge is ten points, so
you're not getting a lot of touchdown opportunities there.
Speaker 6 (30:08):
And then it's a tough matchup.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
The Panthers have allowed the fourth fewest fantasy points per
game two wide receivers. They've also held a Lobby to
under sixty yards in four of their last five matchups.
In fact, in the last two he was held to
under four fantasy points and was shahied gone. Now they
could just lock in on trying to take him out
of the passing attack for the Saints. So if you
(30:31):
have anyother option you like, I don't think you sit
him for just anyone, but if you have an option,
I would take it.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
Great advice right there. Thank you so much, Michael. Now,
if you're one of those people who loves to celebrate
in the misery of others or celebrate when people get
things wrong, this is for you.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
It's time for a minute with Marcus.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Thank you, Adam, you know what's the hardest part of
fantasy football is. It's not the draft picks, it's not
the waiver calls, it's not even making trades. The hardest
part is predicting the future. We come into the season
with best intentions and bold predictions and receipts, lots and
lots of receipts.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Ashton Genty as the RB one overall. Daniel Jones will be.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
An anchor around the neck of the Colts offense.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Keon Coleman will be the steel of the draft.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
After all, he has Josh Allen at his quarter as
his quarterback. See here's the thing about all of these opportunities.
The moral arc of the fantasy universe is long, but
generally it leads to nowhere. Those calls that you got right,
no one will remember them.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
The ones that you got wrong, yes.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
People will remember them, but that's about as valuable as
that dusty old box of football cards in your parents' garage.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
So here's the thing about these fantasy receipts.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Forget about them, forget about the past, focus on the present,
and prepare yourself for the future, because that's is what
really matters in fantasy football. Oh and so I'm trying
to make key on coleman A think it's just not
gonna happen for you this year.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
That has been a minute with Marcus.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
The season's heating up, but prices are cooling down. NFL
Sunday Ticket is now one hundred and fifty dollars for
new users for the rest of the season. Subscribe now
to watch more of your favorite teams out of market
Sunday games. Terms and embargoes apply. Time to lock it
up because we are going to take it to the rank.
Thank you so much, Marcus.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Four for four.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Last week a monster week. We've been doing really well.
Last week was the absolute best. Let's keep it.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
Going here and let's start at so Fi Stadium. Yeah,
if we're going to be taking things to the rank,
we should start.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
It's so far.
Speaker 5 (32:41):
And this week the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town. And
this is not the steel Curtain that you grew up with.
There's no James Harrison, Greg Lord, Greg Lloyd, Me and
Joe Green.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Anything like that.
Speaker 5 (32:51):
They've been giving up an average of two hundred and
eighty passing yards per game this season. That's more than
twenty of the next closest team and out they're going
up against the LA Chargers, who have been averaging around
to seventy.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
I'm looking at the numbers right here. Done, here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
Justin Herbert is going to go out there in eclipse
two hundred and fifty five yards this week. He's gonna
take it out and then he's gonna go and hang
out at Permanty Brothers. Actually that's here in LA. But
still guess what you can take it to the rank.
All right, snooze off, game on. We're going to go
to Berlin this week. Make sure you're riding the metro
(33:31):
in this one. And let's talk about the two running backs,
because the two running backs in this matchup are awesome.
You have Dejon Robinson, you have Jonathan Taylor, and after
what happened last week to the Indianapolis Colts, it leads
me to believe that this is going to be a
very run heavy script.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Both teams are going to be out there looking to
establish the run.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
So when I look here and I think about Michael Pennix,
the Falcons have the tenth lowest pass rate this season,
which leads me to believe Chunky b that he will
attempt fewer than thirty five passes. This week, I have
no more words because you can take it to the
ring there.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
It is all right. Let's go on, Let's go Tampa Bay.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
Rashad White has been pressed into duty much like he's
some sort of Minuteman. Speaking of Minutemen, my ranking of
the greatest punk rock bands of all time, you can
find that online. People have been yelling at me where
the Minutemen? Where the germs? Where the stooges?
Speaker 3 (34:30):
All there?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
I missed all of them.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
What I won't miss is this this week, Rashad White,
He's got one of the toughest matchups going up against
the New England Patriots defense. Michael Floio talking about this
a moment ago. This season, the New England Patriots have
allowed the fewest yards per rush, and over the last
six games, Rashad White has had a rush of more
(34:53):
than twelve yards only once in the last six games. So,
as I sit here and look at this game, I
say that Rashad White will not will not have a
rush more than twelve yards against the New England Patriots.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
You can take you to the rake, all right, the
log they move me.
Speaker 5 (35:10):
Look all right, listen, We're currently on a street every
week we come out here and we talk about a
player who is going to score a touchdown each and
everyone has hit this week. Let's talk about a mon
Ross Saint Brown here. The Detroit Lions have been They've
got a great matchup against the Commanders. A Monross Saint
Brown has seven touchdowns this season, forty percent red zone share.
(35:32):
He's got the Commanders who have allowed a ten receiving
touchdowns in the last three weeks. But let's also add
in Debonte Adams a nearly sixty percent end zone target share,
nineteen red zone targets.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
That leads the NFL.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Now, if you want to go to Chick fil A
and you want to order the nuggets and the fries separately,
that's fine. Sometimes you don't want us have the soft drink.
Sometimes you want the combo meals. Sometimes you want to
go for the par and lay up in front of
the water. I'm just telling you that both the mom
Ro Saint Brown will score a touchdown the next week.
Devanta Adams will score a touchdown this week. And you
know what, chucking me, you can take it to the
(36:07):
rank there it is. Take it to the rank for
week ten to Adam.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
And now those are guys that we feel like are logs.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Here's some guys that maybe a little bit more diamonds
in the rough. These are fantasy stars on the rise.
And see Caleb Williams right now. In week nine he
was the QB one, Trayvon Henderson moving up to running back, fifteen,
Alex Pierce, Colston, Loveland, Ronda Gatston, all these younger players
really starting to get it all together.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
And so that means we turn.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Now to our start sit Sherpa one and only Michael
f FLORYA, please, what do you have for us this week?
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (36:42):
Man? So the other day, hey, right, I'm walking around in.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
My best tight eye and my bell bottom jeans and
some guy walks up to me and he's like, hey, dude,
who should I start at tight end? And I just
said peace and Loveland man, because last week he exploded
for one hundred and eighteen yards and two touchdowns.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
He gets the Giants this week.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Who allow a ton of production through the air each week,
and that could be a high scoring game. So a
lot of fantasy managers are out there need to stream
a tight end. You just need to go with the
flow and remember lovelin is all you need.
Speaker 6 (37:20):
And then a little bit about me, guys.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
I believe in lava lamps and fringe bags and the
power of positivity because often the difference between winning and
losing is not quitting. And I refuse to quit on
my boy Traveon Henderson. Last week he got to start
for the Patriots and he finished as the RB fifteen.
(37:44):
He gets a far out matchup this week against the Bucks,
who've allowed the most receiving yards two running backs, and
last week Henderson had six targets.
Speaker 6 (37:53):
And if you're still unsure, if you should go with
the flow and.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Start him the Bucks, they've allowed the third most yards
before contact, so we should have plenty of room to
run this week. And speaking of run, I gotta because
I'm late to go wander around the woods.
Speaker 6 (38:07):
So go with the flow and play Trevion Henderson this week.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Now I must stay. Michael f Florio, we will do
our best to go with the flow in week ten
coming up.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
You have questions, We're gonna umbing up some answers, come around,
stick it back, stick around one of those things. We
come back an NFL Fantasy Live. We are answering your
questions as we wrap up the show. Power to the people,
time to out and answer some of the questions did
you guys had for us on social media? Goal around
the horn As we get close to the end of
the show, starting with you, Michael F. Florio, would you
(38:42):
trade Michael Abuka and Tyler Warren for i'mon Ross Saint Brown.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
My other tight end is Trey McBride.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
I think since you don't really need to play Tyler Warren,
that is a fair trade to me.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
All right.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Wow, that's kind of a humble brag there, rank this
for you. Am I crazy to consider sitting Warren for Loveland?
Speaker 5 (39:01):
I you know, I think that Tyler Warren gets a
bigger share of the targets for the Indianapolis Colts, whereas
obviously Roma Doonday's gonna get targeted a lot. You got
DJ Moore, Tyler Warren doesn't have that problem.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
All right, this one I will handle. Who to start
in my flex spot for week ten? Aaron Jones combin
if I dal Quentin Johnston or Josh Downs. I'm gonna
say Aaron Jones in this situation, I think he gets
most of the work there. We'll come back around for
you Florio Kittle or andrews.
Speaker 6 (39:31):
Uh Kittle like I agree with what Rake was saying
earlier about Andrews. But you played George Kittle.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
All right, see that were go get one more in now,
Drake may or Kayler Williams Brake in fantasy, Drake Man.
All right, there, it is time for Monday's headlines today.
As we're peeking into our crystal ball Floria Waterfolk's gonna
be talking about Monday morning.
Speaker 6 (39:51):
Off to the races. Five touchdown passes for him this weekend.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
All right, right, you got Miami nice. The Dolphins upset
my Bills.
Speaker 5 (39:59):
I'm kidding, I'm joking. I mean they will win, but
no sorry.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Bear Market will be running New York. The Bears offense
is going to have its way with the Giants.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Thanks for hanging out with us. Stick around, but I
got you on Monday to recap, and I'm gonna have
in this seat for
