Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, everybody, It's Tuesday, July twenty second, twenty twenty five.
Welcome to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast, where we're ready
for two days to me you ran MG Marcus Grant
joined by Michael F. Florio and Lakwan Jones and Happy well,
(00:23):
Happy Tuesday. I guess everybody, I've no idea where I'm
going with this. Welcome back from New Orleans, l Floria.
How was the trip Triples?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
A good time?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
I will tell you you need to be in a
certain certain state of mind for Bourbon Street because if
you are.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Not, good luck. But I had a great time there
one night.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
The next day I was like, yeah, I don't think
I can go back there again. Like I'm not, I'm
not in that state of mind. But we did like
a tour of the swamp out there on an air boat.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Highly recommend But I'll say, like I thought I could
handle heat, right, I have family in Florida and stuff. No,
this Louisiana mid July on the swamp heat is be
the hottest heat I've ever dealt with in my life.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
It's it's a it's a different heat, man.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I mean, I've been in New Orleans. I've been to Houston.
It's a little bit different down there. You melt and sweat. Yeah,
in humidity. It's like you take a shower and you
get out of the shower and you need another shower.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Like it's just like three times a day. It is.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
That's just kind of how it is. Man, It's just
it's different. But uh, glad you had fun. What did
you did you find out? As Steve Smith's senior ONLU,
did you determine if New Orleans is too dark or not?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
He's right, I'll give him that a Like there's a
lot of area where even on Bourbon Street, like it's
kind of dark except for like the really bright bar
lights because they want to. It's very over stimulating in
that sense. But like when I walked around like the
kind of where we were staying, I literally said to
one of my friends, I was like, Steve Smith was
(01:52):
right the whole time, and they.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Had no idea what I was talking about. I had
to the backstory.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Oh man, all right, we got some fantasy stuff to
talk about today. We will do some training camp questions
on the NFC side of things. Also kind of some
draft updates guys that we are drafting a lot.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Of guys at NIGGA.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
We feel like we need to get some more of
coming up as we get closer to the start of
the season.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
But first a few things that are news ish, if
you will.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Jalen Wright says he's ready to be more involved in
year two in the NFL. Says quote, I can be
a top back in this league. I mean, look, we've
seen the talent, but Lukwan, there's a guy there in
Miami and Devon h Chan who's proven he can be
explosive and be a big playmaker. Do you believe or
do you think Jalen Wright can actually cut into Devon
(02:40):
ah Chan's workload this year?
Speaker 5 (02:42):
I think he should because we've seen Miami run this
one two punch and he has the size of raheem mostered.
He's just as explosive, and you look at his time
in Tennessee, he was very efficient seven point four yards
per carry. I mean this was a mediocre ole line
that he was working when he still was explosive. You
look at the small opportunities that he was getting last
ye ye. The one time he cracked ten touches was
(03:02):
in that New England game, and he was very explosive
in that game. He had three runs over ten yards.
So you're seeing that there's some type of talent there
that you need to start implementing in this one two punch.
But obviously things crashed and burned very early in the
season when you removed to it.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
But the talent is there. Man.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
I definitely think you know, he is very cheap in
these drafts, so like I've been stashing him, I've been
watch listing him, you know, when the redraft season comes
out fully outside. He's a name that you should honestly
just keep on your radar.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Floyd, how are you feeling about the Dolphins offense because
I've been sort of I mean, I'm not out on them,
but I've been very hesitant to draft a lot of Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
I'm just I'm not certain about them this year.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
And it makes sense because, like I know, you could
say this for any team, like if they're starting quarterback
goes down at fault, like if Lamar Jackson missed his
time the Ravens offense full Josh, you know, but like
we've seen it time and time again with Tua and
the Dolphins, and his situation is a little different than others.
I don't really find myself taking any of the pass catchers,
(04:03):
but I'm all in on Devon Han in round two,
Like I think he could be the RB one this
year because he is so good as a receiver. He
is such an explosive runner. And I agree with OQ,
like I'm fine taking late round shots on Jalen Wright
in case h N miss his time or anything like that.
I think he'll have a role because every RB two
(04:24):
has a role in their team's offense. But I do
think the valuable touches, the goal line, the passing downs
like that is going to go to Devon Hen And
I still do think he will be the lead runner
each game for this team as long as, Like I
don't think people realize he scored more Fantasy points per
game than Sakwon Barkley when he had two a toungueai
(04:46):
looa out there last year.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
So he was awesome and I think he can do
that again.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
But it's funny to me about this Jalen Wright comment
because like, as a player ever been like, listen, don't
give me the ball. I'm not rest especially this time
of year.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
You know that would be great, Like I want I
want to hear that the like, hey man, I'm not ready.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Maybe get somebody else a chance.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Right after a team announces that a player had unsuccessful surgery,
right because you know it's always so and so had
successful Like I just want a team to be like oof, No,
I think they botched it, Like it's.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Gonna be rough.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Those are the two things I'm kind of waiting for.
Last year, Devaney Chan played nearly sixty two percent.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Of the snaps. Right behind him was Raheem Moster.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Actually, I guess you got out in Gold if you
want to count Alex Ingold with the fullback spot sort
of a different beast there, so maybe that doesn't really count.
But Raheem Moster played about a quarter of the snaps
right last year is at about fifteen percent. I'm sort
of assuming that all of those vacated Moster snaps aren't
going to go to Jalen Wright, but if he takes
(05:52):
a portion of them, that could put him in the
twenty five maybe even the thirty percent range of snaps,
which is not insignificant, kind of doubling his opportunities from
last year.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Under the show Alec and Gold by the way, yeah,
absolutely good good time, good good guy to talk to,
so but obviously not particularly fantasy relevance.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Sadly in Seattle, Sehawks making a change at tight end.
They have released Noah Fan, a guy who just never
really seemed to make it happen.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
I think the way people thought he would coming out
of college.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
You have all those those Iowa tight ends right from
the George Kittles and the TJ. Hawkinson's just Sam Laporta
Fan just never quite hit that way. So Florida is
an Elijah Royo season now in Seattle.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
I tweeted this on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
I was like, be prepared to hear me call him
a sleeper a lot this year.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
And I'm not not a sleeper.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
In this sense of you draft him to be your
tight end one, but as a late round dart throw
you're tight end too. Like I he might be my
most drafted tight end right now just because he's free.
Like he was going outside the top thirty in Best
Ball Draft. So I've just been throwing darts there on him.
U back in the draft season like process, I was like,
(07:09):
if there's a my guy at tight end, I would
say it's a royal because he has the size. He
could win downfield. There was a lot more downfield usage
than you typically see from a college tight end, and
he could win after the catch. I think he needs
to be a little bit more physical and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
But all of the tools.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Are there, so again, don't dra have them to be
your starter. But if you wait on tight end or
something you want some late round upside, he is your guy.
But I don't know if you guys saw the Seahawks
tweet when they announced it, they were like three years,
so many moments no offense. I can't sit here and
tell you a single no offen moment.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
The mind really.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Don't release me and then say, oh, the great moments
we had and nobody remembers what are we doing?
Speaker 3 (07:58):
You guys are fans of teams in that division. Do
you have strong no offense Seahawks memories?
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I have no no offense Seahawks memories. No, not a
single one dry memory. I'm really trying to think of
a time where, yeah, no offense did a thing where
it's like, man, no offense killing us right now? Like no,
I never never thought that that's sad.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
I mean, only the fantasy streets are the reason why
Noah fan name even pops up in any conversation, like
that's the blame there, Like, I don't even remember him
being there for three years. I thought it was literally
just the two, but apparently a third year snuck in somehow.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
But okay, I just were they were they like throwing shade?
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Was it?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Were they trying to be nice and it turns out
that they're throwing shade?
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Like I don't you know what's sad?
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Though, I have more Aj Barner memories because he was
cutting us up in one game. I'm like, why is
this dude just kick getting open because our linebackers can't
cover him? But I have more memories of that than
no a fan actually showing up and showing out doing anything.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
But Will Disley like I got, I got Will Disley memories.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
I mean, my biggest noahf memory is the year he
was drafted. There was like a him versus Hockinson conversation.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah, like yeah, yeah we're out. Uh yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
As Gavin points out in the chat, Greg dulcag has
more memory.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yes, yeah, I was. I've been a big Greg Dulcage
guy the last couple of years.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
How wiber I spent the whole off season learning how
to say, oh, Koya Budham, and it never amounted to anything.
Say it once in season that I don't think I
had to say it once. Yeah at all at all?
Thank God, I think you'd be talking about noa phantos long.
Will Levis is going down to go surgery on his
throwing shoulder. He will miss the entirety of the twenty
(09:44):
twenty five season, which only solidifies that cam Ward will be.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
The QB one in Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
As if we didn't already know that.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Uh so obviously the quand we're not drafting Will Levis
in redrafts this year, in Best Ball or anything like that.
For those folks who might still be sitting on Will
Levis in Dynasty, is it time to cut bait or
do you just ride it out and hope maybe there's
one last chance.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
I'm sitting on Joe Flacco and James Winston and a
lot of dynasties.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
So maybe you're not the person to ask because we're
still we're still holding on.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
He may find another team, and those weeks where you
are down and your quarterbacks are injured, I'd like to
look to Winston when he's playing in Joe Flacco when
he's playing and hopefully, you know, Will Levis finds his
way out of Tennessee. I don't think that, you know
it's time to just completely cut ties. I mean, it's
a quarterback, and we know what the way wire looks
like on Dynasty. You're looking at freaking Josh Rosen. Probably
(10:39):
if he's even still available on the wire.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
If he's still available on the wire, yikes.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
This is where we are right now, and.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
We checked it.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
I'm going to check that right now, see if he's there.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
I mean, if he's not universally available, I'm gonna see
if I can add him.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
He's he's like a business school major.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Now, Like he didn't like football, so I mean that
was just even football.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
He just had other interests outside of football, Like you
don't have me back on this again, like the draft
process had me defending a UCLA brewing, Like, don't have
me do this, people, Yes, yes, don't make me do
He liked football, he just was smart and had other
interests away from the game. And for whatever reason, like
(11:21):
hardcore football guy brainitch that made his brainitch.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
And that's you know, it didn't help that he wasn't good.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
One Cardinals year.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Yeah, I mean, that was not a great situation for
Rosen for anybody really, but also he never played well
enough to justify himself getting another shot.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
I mean the biggest very way for me, uh with
this Will Levis injury is cam Ward better not miss
a game, man, because the Titans backups right now are
Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Well Tim Boyle or i G. NFL bylaws state that
if Tim Boyle is on a roster, he has to
play at least play maybe even start again.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
So yeah, Tim Boyle.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Tim Boyle started the very first Black Friday and through
the the Pick.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Six, which was when the Robert Solid teeth brushing commercial out.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
It was the first commercial after that play.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Like it was just like him with a sick look
on his face in real life, and then like the
first commercial with him brushing his teeth.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
I have never laughed so hard watching a sport It
game as I did that sequence.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Oh man, any any updates on the Josh Rosen availability
l on You're.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
Not able to pick him up, but he is still
on the sleep wrap.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
A star on the watch list for Josh Rojin right now.
It just says are you sure? Every time you try
to pick him up.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
You're you're not really trying to what he's doing.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
What are you doing stopping?
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Go go outside, touch grass. We're gonna take a break,
not gonna touch any grass.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Right to come right back. Talk to some NFC training
camp questions stick around for that. On the NFL Fantasy
Football podcast, came up with a handful of questions pertaining
to the NFC. At first, I I was going to
just do a general training camp questions and then like
a lot of the ones that I thought of were
mostly NFC centric, So I'm like, well, why don't we
(13:24):
just split this up? Plus it, you know, allows us
to do content over several shows instead of just one producing.
So the first one, the first two questions are sort
of related to one another, but we'll take them one
at a time. Uh Lakwan and the Lions offense continue
(13:44):
to be productive without Ben Johnson, I think so.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Over the weekend, I was able to talk with Jason
Cabinda on Serious XM and I was able to pick
his brain a little what he thinks the influence and
inspiration on this offense will be now that John Moore
taken over, and he basically re ensured that you know,
Golf has his confidence in John Morton stepping in, and
I was actually surprised of some of the things that
(14:09):
Jason Gobnda was saying about this Lion's offense. And he
was saying that John Morton wants to be more aggressive
going downfield. Now this has been said, if he wants
to be more aggressive downfield, he was just saying, like,
how explosive this offense can be. Even a hot take
of him saying that Jameson Williams might lead this team
in receiving yards, having more yards than a Monrod Saint Brown.
And I'm sitting here thinking like, wow, but when you
(14:31):
look at bow Knicks last year, because that's where John
Morton was and bo Nix was chucking that ball down
the field seventeen touchdowns, eleven interceptions. But that's little wishy washy.
But Jared Golf is one of the best deep ball
throwers in the league right now, and I definitely think
if John Morton can tap into that being more aggressive
going downfield, I think this Lions offense doesn't skip a b.
I think they keep on going, keep being headaches and
(14:52):
giving these defenders hell. With Jameson Williams being explosive a
mon Rock even Samley Porter. So I think that there
won't be such a huge aggression of this Lion's offense
just because Ben Johnson is not there. It just made
look a little different of how they execute some of
these big plays.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
I want you to go back to the part where
you said Jamison Williams might have more more catches, only
because I've Jamison Williams has been one of my.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Big breakout candidates for the year.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
Well, I just bought a ticket over the weekend and
we are here for the James Williams Welcome.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
It's nice in here. We got cookies.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
It's great to back up his point though, Ben Johnson,
in his three years that he was with the Lions,
they threw the deep all the fewest straight in the NFL.
I don't think people realize that because we big of
the Lions as explosive, but it's highly efficient. It wasn't
like they were chucking it downfield, you know.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
No, m Yeah, It's one of those things where when
you yes, when you hear the stature like that doesn't
really make sense, but then when you actually stop and
think about it, that yeah. I mean, it's a lot
of explosive plays it's a lot of yards after the catch, right,
That's what I'm on Ross Saint Brown does so well,
That's what Sam Laporta did, especially in his rookie year.
That's what jam You know, Jamior Gibbs is not a
(16:06):
downfield threat.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Yeah, I'm not buying that.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Why not? And he's lining up in the slot season, Man.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
I'm glad. I'm glad he's catching the football.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Right, that's part of why we love him, that's part
of why we want him on our rosters. But I'm
not buying that all of a sudden he's gonna like
line up wide and start stretching the field.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Well, that just then doesn't make sense.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
Kamenda was saying that there may be more on the
table for Gibbs too, Like he was really selling me on,
like Morton might just come in and like, hey, I
wouldn't do things my way and give the reins to Gibbs.
Like this was making me think, like Monty's value, like
his stand alone value, Like do we take a step
back on Monty? So Gibbs had three hundred touches last year.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
There, I've been there for a while.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
You say, wow, Because I mean everyone thinks the lines
are going to look the same. But Ben Johnson was
top two in goal line running back carries and touchdowns
every year he was there, like, and he liked to
use both of.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
His running backs. What if the what if.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
More it comes in and says like Gibbs is clearly better,
which he is, Like what if that now is a
sixty forty split or something like.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
That rather than the rankings.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Plus, I think this goes under the radar. They lost
two interior offensive linemen, which is where David Montgomery does
most of his damage, So we get more outside runs
with Gibbs something like that. Like, I think the Lions
have more question marks than than than people, than than
(17:39):
the public realizes because they've been so good and so
good for fantasy for years now that like Marcus, you
talk about it a lot, it's muscle memory. After some point,
it's like, these guys are great.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
They're going to continue to be great.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
I mean, I think I think, you know, the talent
certainly stands out right. I mean, at this point we've
all decided, I'm on Ross Saint Brown is actually a
good receiver. Right that first year, we had questions like
is it just because people were hurt and now we're like, no,
he's actually hashtag good. Jamiir Gibbs is actually good. I
think with David Montgomery, I think part of it is
going to be usage. I think part of it is
(18:13):
just that, you know, he's a guy who's been steady,
not spectacular for most of his career, and I just
think they're going to start kind of, you know, maybe
phasing him out a little bit. I think also, though, yes,
time sort of catches up a little bit, So I
think this is like the first year that I'm sort
of backing off drafting David Montgomery versus you know, Jamiir
Gibbs or whatever. But I'm very much in on Jamison Williams,
(18:36):
which means maybe there's going to be more of a
deep ball option in this offense this year. If that's
really what what Jason Cabinda believes. Obviously, he spends more
time around this team than either of us, so you know,
it's it's worth sort of buying into that. The flip
side of this question, though, Florian, I know you said
you spent a lot of time kind of digging into
(18:57):
Ben Johnson's work. If we're sort of if you say
there are questions about the Lions offense with Ben Johnson leaving,
what do you expect from the Bears offense? You know,
do they take a step forward now that Ben Johnson
is over on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Speaker 6 (19:16):
They better right, Like if they don't, we gotta really
look at Caleb Williams because I think everything is there
for this offense to ascend, like not only bringing in
Ben Johnson, who does makes life so easy on your quarterback,
which is also why I worry about Jared Goff a
little bit, because Johnson calls a lot of screen passes,
(19:40):
a lot of short quick The Lions every year or
towards the top in short passes and like I said,
over three year span, the fewest d passes in the NFL,
because it's taking what the defense gives you, right, these layups, layups, layups,
and then when they're starting to load up front, then
you catch them off guard downfield. And the talent is
(20:01):
there for the Bears. They Dj Moore, Roma dunesa Luther Burden,
the Colston Loveland, Cole Comet, like, like, the talent is there,
but the Bear that I'm most excited for, and I
know we talked about him a bit already in past
shows is DeAndre Swift Because like, if you ask people
what DeAndre Swift has averaged yard wise the last couple
(20:21):
of years, I guarantee you everyone is way lower than
it is. He's averaged thirteen hundred yards each of the
last in the last two seasons, so the production is
already there. Now he's going to get the guy who
again was top to every single year he was with
the Lions in running back, goal line carries, and goal
line touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
He's going to get a guy who we know throws
the ball a lot to his running back. So I
think DeAndre Swift could finish this year as an RB one.
If things break right, you don't have to pay anywhere
close to that price, although it is climbing his ADP.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
But yeah, there's I'm.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Really optimistic about this Bears team, and I think almost
all of their players right now are a value at
ADP because Dj Moore you get is what a borderline two?
What maybe wide receiver three a doomsday as well into
the wide receiver three the tight end like like both
of them. Comet doesn't even get drafted, but Loveland borderline
tight end one, Like I think all of them could
(21:18):
exceed their draft colls Right now.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Are we Lakwan maybe discounting Cole Comet a little bit
because you know, obviously they spin a draft pick on
Colston Loveland, they make him the first tight end off
the board.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
You know, I've been drafting him.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
I think my argument has been Ben Johnson must have
a plan, right, they took him over Tyler Warren, they
must have a plan for him. But Cole Comet caught
almost fifty passes last year, had almost five hundred receiving yards,
four touchdowns. Like, they're not just going to completely take
him off the board. Like, are we getting to hype
on Loveland? Are we overlooking Comet? I mean, what are
(21:54):
we doing here? We're definitely overlooking Comet. And we're also
overlooking that show sold us older injury. Yeah, I was
trying to get money, by the way, But Loveland with
that shoulder injury, it's one of those things that you
know you're just gonna have to monitor throughout camp. And
I think Colston Loveland there's a plan for him obviously
in this Ben Johnson offense.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
For the future.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
It may not be this year that we see the breakout.
You know, it might take some time, and I think
Cole Comet again, I keep pounding the table. He's one
of those rope running tight ends that could be threatening
across the middle. He can be like a George Kittle
in this offense if you give him opportunity. He's always
dealt with. The quarterback play is not up to par,
the signal caller isn't up to park. There's always something
(22:37):
going on where Cole Comett can't get the opportunity to
just blossom. I thought it would be this season, but
they took Loveland. But again, you just have to monitor
through camp or where this shoulder injury is going to be.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
I mean, one year was Jimmy Graham was stealing touchdowns
from him. But now Jimmy Graham is rowing kayaks across
the Arctic Ocean breaking the records.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
You're here for the seat.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Last week, that's right, Yeah, Jimmy Graham set a record
rowing a boat with a team of four altogether across
the Arctic Ocean with five hundred miles in just over
ten days.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
So, oh my my god.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
He did that. He did that fifty miles a day,
he did that. Yeah, that's that's insane. Big Man.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Actually closer to sixty miles a day, So how sore
must his shoulders be?
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Probably very probably very lovely level.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Other training camp questions, Floya, are we willing to bet
on Bryce Young in twenty twenty five?
Speaker 3 (23:39):
I am because of where he's going in drafts right now,
like he's still going as a low end QB two.
And I don't think people fully realize how well Bryce
Young was playing down the stretch last year after he
became the starter again, remember they benched and Frandy Dawton
(24:00):
for a couple of games. He averaged eighteen Fantasy points
per game. From week eleven on it was over twenty
per game, and that was largely because of the five
rushing touchdowns he had. I know those could be hard
to bank on, but I think the fact that he
looked more comfortable as a runner, like that we did
not see that at all from him as a rookie.
(24:22):
He looked much more comfortable in that regard. And then, like,
let's not forget during that stretch, Jonathon Johnson was supposed
to be his wide receiver one and he was on
his eighteen.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
By that point already.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
So now he has in Tetuo McMillan, he has a
new wide receiver one. There we get feeling Jatavian Sanders,
like there's not a lot of proven high level talent
there anymore, but there's a lot of upside still with
all of these young guys that were early round picks.
So again not drafting him to be your starter or
(24:54):
something like that, but if you want later round upside,
I think young brings it.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
I did, like, you know, you pointing out that because
I felt like late in the season he was good,
but like kind of math, but you know, you mentioned
he averages eighteen fantasy points per game in the back
half of the season, and I'm looking right now, we twelve,
he had sixteen and a half thirteen, We thirteen was
twenty three point six, then thirteen point five, fourteen, twenty seven, sixteen,
many finishes with thirty six, you know, and we.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Did a range of outcome, kind of guy wide.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Range of outcome.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
I do think there's some untapped potential in that rushing
up side because ninety percent of his rushing yards came
after he came off the bench, and he was on
pace on a seventeen game pace. If he would have
kept this energy, this same rushing upside and instinct, he
would have been in that four hundred yard mark for rushing yards,
and I think that adding that to his game, not
having that trust in his old line, because we saw
(25:49):
twenty twenty three how bad that old line was. He
needs to tap back into that rushing upside and that
instinct to get in and out of that pocket. If
you're telling me, I can get Bryce Young with four
hundred yards on the table for him if we can
keep on this pace of what he was when he
came off the bench, he's in the same marks of
what Caleb did last year on the ground. Bo Nicks Like,
you're getting that upside with a guy that is incredibly
(26:10):
cheap right now as a QB too, And like, if
you're taking some of these risky gambles in these drafts,
and I'm talking about you, go and get Deck. You
know he has some injury history, but that could be
a top five. But if you're unsure, they're slapper. Bryce
shown there because coming off the bench, like Flurio said,
eighteen Fantasy points per game, he was QB fourteen in
that range and I'm like, oh, okay, well there's top
twelve upside here and you can win leagues with a
(26:32):
top twelve quarterback. So I think, you know, if you're
not too sure about Patrick Mahomes slap Brice showing, is
your QB two, like, you just have to have that security.
But I do think there's upside there.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
One thing I thought was interesting because we had the
chance to talk to both Adam Thielen and xavierly Get
this offseason, and while he didn't necessarily come out and
say it outright, I got the sense from both of them,
especially from le Get, that I think the guys in
the huddle weren't thrilled with the idea bench Bryce Young
when it happened.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
I think I think the guys in the.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Huddle saw the growth, they saw the development, and I
think I think the sense was that the coaching staff
maybe were they had it too quick of a hook
on it because like week three, Yeah, we're very very
early in the season. And I think I think both
Feeling and lee Get, you know, they sort of again
(27:26):
they didn't come out and just outright say it, but
just sort of how they talked about it gave me
this feeling that, you know, they really believed in Bryce Young,
and I think they were both happy to see him
have some success after he came back off the bit,
and I don't think it was any shade on Andy Dalton.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
It was just more about believing in the young.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Guy who's supposed to be the future of the franchise
right there.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
So they did lose their first two games by a
combined score of seventy three to thirteen.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Yes bad, But yeah, if you're.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Giving up seventy three, that's just as much on the details.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
That's that's not all the quarterback right suck. I mean,
I got U thirteen points.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
I mean, but also I mean, if we want to
if we want to play that game. I remember the
because one of those games was to the Saints. I
remember how the Saints scored like ninety one points in
their first two games.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Were like, Oh, this this offense might be for real.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
And then I think it took them like five weeks
to score ninety one points again, like combined or something
like that.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
It was. It was bad.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
So I don't know, just saying maybe the first two
weeks is not a whole season, That's all I'm saying.
I'm gonna ask you this specifically, lakwan Oh no Is,
Jackson Smith and Jigbo ready to be an outside receiver.
Corollary to which is is Cooper Cup going to eat
in Seattle?
Speaker 5 (28:42):
Listen, I don't know why they're accommodating for Cooper Cup
to be in that slot. I don't know if we're
ready to see JSN play on the outside. We've had
a very small sample size of him playing as an
outside wide receiver. Not saying he can't win. He's shown
he could be effective. I mean back to back seasons
when the quarterback is targeting me at one hundred and
twelve pass ringing back to back season, so it's like
he can be effective out there. But I don't know
(29:03):
what a full season looks like with him exclusively playing
on the outside, also with Clint Qbac coming in. I mean, look,
the Saints they had the seventh highest usage of twelve
personnel last season, so I'm not even understanding the idea
of what this offense can look like. I mean, with
them releasing no offense, it kind of shows their hand.
They want to get AJ Barner and Elijah Royal on
the field at the same time, so twelve personnel. So
(29:26):
when you're looking at the potential of what this offense
can be with MBS as the field stretcher and then
JSN as an exclusive outside guy when you go into
three wide receiver sets, and then not to mention, I'm
going on the tangent here because I've really dived into
the Seahawks. I like identity of what it could be
on the offense, and it's like, Okay, well, Clint qback
doesn't use three wide receivers. He does not believe in
(29:49):
using three wide receivers as often. As much as we're
trying to make this identity of this offense to be
twenty twenty one, who's the offensive coordinating for the Vikings?
I mean, below league average when the usage of three
wide receivers even last season. It might have been the
personnel issue over there with the pass catchers, but I
just don't understand the identity of the Seahawks offense for
me to believe that JSN or Cooper Cup can eat
(30:10):
because I think it's counterproductive with them flip flopping back
and forth from slot to outside.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
I mean, do you think they flip flop or do
you think just like Cooper, Cup is just the slot
guy because at this point Cup's career, Like I don't
I don't know that I want him on the outside.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
I don't know if he wins on the outside right now.
Speaker 5 (30:27):
I don't think people paid attention in these last two
seasons or where Cooper Cup was getting most of his
work from, and that was from the slot position. So
if you're gonna run twelve personnel or if you're going
to switch to a three wide receiver set, he has
to play the slot. And that's where we want JSN
to be the ultimate fantasy wide receiver. I mean, I've
seen him go off the board as the wide receiver twelve,
right behind lad and I think that's incredibly too high.
(30:48):
You're taking a risk there because again we don't know
that identity of this offense, nor do we know if
Sam Darnold seeing ghosts anymore. That old line was terrible
last season. He got to face Jared Verse twice a
year every year, and he might be on his back again.
So it's one of those things like we're diving into
the Seahawks offense and saying that Cooper Cup maybe a
steal later in drafts, JSN maybe a top ten wide receiver.
(31:08):
How do we know this if they don't even know
what they're doing over there. So that's just what I
got for you.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
I mean, Florio, is there a universe though, where if
they're going two wide receiver sets, it's just JSN and
Cup and MVS is the guy on the outside, is
am I saying on the outside on the sideline?
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Yeah, Like, I think we will see some three wide
receiver sets sprinkled in. Probably not at a heavy rate
like LK was saying, but I could see these two
splitting time pretty consistently between out wide and in the
slot like Cup and JSN. Uh. And if that happens,
like I've seen people be like, well, JSN is really
(31:47):
talented and he could play out wide, and I don't disagree,
but he was the most effective slot wide.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
Receiver last year.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
So is he going to be that effective out wide?
I don't think so. So that dings his value right there.
Cooper Cup isn't as good in the slot at this
point as JSN, and I would probably argue he's not
as good out wide as JASN, So you should build
your offense around JASN and put him where the best
spot is to succeed. But I'm worried and I have
(32:16):
concerns about this Seahawks offense, especially look I know Clint Kubiak,
a lot of motion, a lot of zone everything. We
got excited, like you guys were saying about him last
season that didn't work out after the first two weeks
with the Saints. We got excited about this Seahawks offense
(32:36):
last season with Ryan Grubb that didn't work out, and
it's worse this year. So I find myself not really investing.
Especially you gotta take jsn as a top fifteen wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Yi, I don't have him ranked that high.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
He's a little bit lower for me, so I don't
really It's usually Kenneth Walker or no one for or
unless the Elijah Royal, but even Kenneth Walker like depends
on the build and stuff. I don't find myself super
stay healthy.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Yeah that's all.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Well, I mean, you know you're you're out on Kenneth Walker, right, Lacan,
You're just not a Kenneth.
Speaker 5 (33:11):
He's a dark horse to be a top five running back.
But for my rosters this summer, I can't invest like
I can see the vision, I can see the talent.
He's one of the most elusive backs in the league.
He is great when he's there. He was on pace
for seventy targets last season or was it seventy catches?
I might have had that wrong, but the fact that
he can't stay healthy is why he hurts so many
fantasy rosters. Like I'm not willing to jump in and
(33:32):
invest in that he's one of.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Those players that because I have like double digit teams,
I want him on a couple of rosters, But if
I had like one or two teams, I'm fine not
having him on there.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
Yeah, I'm not losing sleep, not at all.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
God, he was on pace for seventy targets.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Seventy targets, fifty three targets in eleven games last year.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
So I think that looks crazy on seventy season and
give me that. That's like, that's exactly where he needs
to be at this season. And we've seen click Qubiac
get career highs out of Alvin Kamara last season on
the ground, So I feel like, you know, if you
could do the same with Kenneth Walker if he stays
up right, sprinkling zac Sharbonne a little bit, so you
know you can carry the.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Load, you know, evenly with them too. Maybe, But I
think Kenneth Walker being in use efficiently rather than a workhorse.
Probably works better for him for fantasy.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
All right, but Cooper comms wide receiver in the division.
Speaker 5 (34:25):
Right, stop it you come from New Orleans and start
rolling bros.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
That's funny. All right, We're gonna take a break act.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
You know, one more questions. I forgot it. There's one more.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
When do holdouts become a big deal? And I'm guessing
this is a Terry McLaurin question.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
I put it. I have the Jaden Daniels shirt. But
I was like, because I know people are gonna get
scared of it and look to Ayuk. But we also
forget that Jamar Chase held out just as long last year.
So like, is there any rhyme or reason here? I can't.
I can, yeah, kind of put my finger on it,
all right.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Yeah, I'm I don't know about you.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Look on, I'm not worried yet.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
And and the latest reports seem positive as though, you know,
the two sides are trying to to work something out.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
I think for McLaurin, yeah, I think that the commanders
realize they need him, you know, they're they're finally starting
to have some success. He's a guy who's been there
through thick and thin. He's produced despite bad quarterback play.
I think the commanders realize how much they need him.
I think them something's gonna get done. But right now,
on July twenty second, I'm not super worried. If it's
(35:36):
you know, three weeks from now, maybe I'm a little
bit more concerned.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
But look, I'm not too concerned.
Speaker 5 (35:42):
I was about to say, if we get like two,
three weeks into August and he is still not practicing,
he's still not doing anything and there's no contract talk,
That's when I'll be worried. You know, Like not all
hold the holdouts are held the same. I mean mentioned
Jamar Chase, he held out and he still had the
amazing season. Then you look at Brandon Nayuk on his
couch on TikTok and facetim and Jayden Daniels.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Slop.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
He was slopped those first seven weeks. Where's the touchdowns?
Speaker 2 (36:08):
None?
Speaker 5 (36:09):
Like he wasn't as effective as he should have been,
you know, getting the bag. But I feel like Terry McLaurin,
you have to drop them down in your ranks, like
I dropped them to wide receiver eighteen. Right now, that's
behind Wilson Pickens like, I feel like he can easily
move back up if this contract clears up. But being that,
you know, he's in the situations and now, I don't
(36:30):
know if we want to see this happen all the
way into August.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Yeah, And I mean right now, I'm remaining optimistic. I
don't think it will. I think they will get something
done sooner than later, and then this will all be
kind of a moot conversation.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
So fingers crossed.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
If they get something done, McLaurin has earned it. McLaurin
has earned it.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
The commanders need him in there, So let's just let's
just make everybody happy and get this thing done. Terry
McLaurin is certainly a guy that we are drafting, but
how much are we drafting him? And is there somebody
else that maybe we should be drafting more of. We'll
talk about the guys we are drafting a lot of
the guys that maybe we should maybe kind of get
in on a little bit more. That's coming up next
on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
All right, so we.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Are well into draft season, talking about some of the
players that we are drafting a lot of and some
of them that maybe we could draft a little bit
more of.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
So uh Lakwan.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Who's a guy that you are just super super heavy.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
On right now.
Speaker 5 (37:23):
Brishard Smith over there in Kansas City, and it is
RB three season, because you know, I'm missed RB three,
but I do think there's a role there. Andy Reid
has been talking him up. I mean, he's electric, a
former wide receiver, natural hands. He's out there being electric
out there like a Jared McKinnon, like a two point
zero in Andy Reid's eye. So I've been getting a lot.
He's actually the most roster running back I have right
(37:45):
now on Underdog because it's honestly just setting up in
the stars. How do you keep a checko healthy? You
split up the workload. You don't have to have a
checko catching all these balls. We know Matt Naggie likes
to Pepper's running backs with you know, targets. Why not
Pepper a guy who is designed for this to be
explosive out in the backfield, and that's for charge Smith.
So I'm putting all my chips on him as a
late round steal.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
All right.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
Who You've got a lot of Florida.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
I'm on the exact opposite side of that.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
I have a ton Isaiah Pacheco and Andres Swift are
my most drafted players, but we've talked about them a lot.
I also have one hundred percent Markuith Brown. I told
you in the wide Receiver episode like he's so late.
I take him every time. But Camp Skataboo, besides those guys,
it's ten because I think he is going to be
the Giants RB one this year. I think Tyron Tracy
(38:33):
is a nice RB two in this league.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
I think camp.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Skataboo is the one. I think he's more dynamic. I
think he could be the goal line runner. I think
he is a better pass catcher. Even though Tracy was
like a receiver, I think Skataboo is just more dynamic.
Does everything. So getting him in like the tenth round,
especially the way I draft my team's very wide receiver heavy.
(38:57):
He feels like a cutoff point to me, Like after him,
I don't think the running backs left have as much
immediate upside, So I really do try to get Skataboo
on as many rosters as I can.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Yeah, I've gotten quite a bit of Scataboo. I've also
found myself drafting a lot of and this is you know,
late round hopefully develops into something. But Elec ioman Or
down there in Tennessee, just because you know, after Calvin Ridley,
who else is there that really is going to command
a lot of targets. And that's not to you know,
necessarily guarantee that ioman Or is going to be that guy,
(39:32):
But you know, why not have your rookie wide receiver
and your rookie quarterbacks sort of grow together. Right Calvin
Ridley is going to, barring some sort of major upset,
be the the number one target there.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
Maybe Tyler Lockett has something left.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
As much as I was once a van Stan Van Jefferson,
I think we've sort of seen the ceiling.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
I know that.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
I know that makes you a little bit sad.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
There, Lukwan a little bit of tears, you know, like
I think we've seen this feeling on him there. So
why not give Iomnor an opportunity to come and make
some plays, especially on a team that is probably going
to lose a lot of games, that's probably going to
have to play.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
From behind and throw the football a lot this year.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
You know, it just it feels like there's a chance
for him to maybe develop into something this year. But again,
it's a situation where like, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.
I'm not spending a lot of draft capital to get Io.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
You know, all of ours were late. Mine was a
little bit earlier than your guys. But the rookies in
the double digit rounds, and I think that's smart drafting
because they're they're free, like you.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Could drop them if it doesn't work.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Well.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
I know we're talking beastball, but you know what I mean,
in a regular season least like.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
And they're free.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
Upside on the flip side, Lakwan, who's somebody that maybe
you wish you could get a little more of, or we'll.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Try to get a little bit more of as we
get further into this.
Speaker 5 (40:54):
George Pickens man, and I've been drawn back on him obviously,
you know what we've seen from him, but I'm actually
starting to put the puzzle together of what he can
bring to this Cowboys offense. Like we know, when Dak's healthy,
this is a top five offense and scoring in total yards,
whatever you want to call it, this is a top
five and still Cowboys offense. Now you give Pickens a
(41:15):
quarterback like Dak, and you give Dak a wide receiver too,
like Pickens, This only elevates this entire offense, Like you're
gonna have to worry about having CD killing you in
the middle, or even Jake Ferguson, You're gonna have to
worry about Dublin CD and letting Pickens beat you down
the perimeter. That is real, like nightmares for defenders. And
I think with that long ball Dak he becomes even
(41:36):
more higher in value in fantasy. He's a top three
quarterback in like two seasons ago. Like we're forgetting that
he could put up damn near forty total touchdowns. He
had thirty eight twice in his career, So I think
we get into that forty five touchdown mark, we get
into that Joe Burrow talk, we get into those touchdown
ranges where Pickens is going to eat somebody these I
can see ten ten touchdowns for Pickens as like a floor.
(42:00):
And I'm being serious when I say war of ten
for when you look at this offense and how threatening
he was in twenty twenty three without a wide receiver too,
Dak was out there slinging it to CD. We're seventeen
hundred yards but it's like you look at the wide
receiver too, Brandon Cooks, nobody cracked more than seven hundred
yards and that's like, Okay, you're adding some guy that
has the potential to put a thousand yards on the
(42:22):
table along with CD. Yeah, this offense is going to
be crazy. So I need more pickings, all right, Florida.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
Who do you want to get more of it? Good?
Bucky Irving.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
I at the start of like the after you know,
the NFL draft and stuff, I was like, I like body,
but I think that the Bucks could take some regression.
I think Baker Mayfield looks like an obvious regression candidate
to me. A new OC Rashad White is still there.
But the more that I have kind of dove into
Bucky Irving, like his range of outcomes is finishing as
(42:55):
the RB one I think, so I have him in
my top eight. If Devon a Han is there, I'm
gonna take Devon a Chan over him.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
But after that, like, I really.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Do like taking Bucky Irving in round two and he
was top six in like every metric that you want
your running backs to be good in. So he's explosive,
he's a good back, hands out of the backfield all
of that, and look for Shad White is a thorn
in the side. But if Bucky could even just a
little bit more separate himself from in the passing game,
(43:28):
the sky is the limit. So Bucky is definitely someone
that I'm going to try to get on more teams
than I have up.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Until this point.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
For me, it's and this is a guy who's going
off early earlier in drafts, and so it might force
me to reach a little bit more. But I'm starting
to feel like I don't have quite enough. Brian Thomas Junior,
Now I have to sort of balance this because I
don't want to get too heavy on this just because
you have the Travis Hunter factor. But I think that
sort of cuts both ways, right in that a Hunter
(43:58):
might eat into some of the targets share. But also,
you know, especially early in the season, I think Travis
Hutter is going to draw a lot of attention. He's
gonna get a lot of people watching him just because
you know, I think a lot of defenses are not
going to want to be beaten by him. They're gonna
try to figure out ways to slow him down a
little bit. So maybe that added attention opened some things
up for Brian Thomas. You know, I know that for you,
(44:20):
laquant it means relying on Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
I'm sorry that name Trevor mid Lawrence. Trevor, he has
a middle name.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
What I did there?
Speaker 1 (44:30):
He said, I mean, you make it sound like he
should be hanging out in Asgard with like four and
him or something like that.
Speaker 5 (44:38):
He needs to step up and elevate because again they're
hitting on the surges of like nineteen Fantasy points per game.
But that was with Mac Jones. That wasn't with Trevor Lawrence.
And again, Trevor Larrence needs to stay healthy and step
up and perform. He has to coach now. So this
is the year, right, are we gonna be like this
is the final year that we can have this Trevor Lawrence,
(44:58):
Trevor mid Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
I don't I don't know there's a hype train anymore
for Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
I mean, I think she's every blind.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
Really.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
I feel like I feel like people are sort of like, okay,
he's there's still something there. But I think I think
the idea that he's going to be this transformational quarterback.
I think that that ship has sailed already. They're still out.
They still believe those.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
People, those words. Some folks can't.
Speaker 5 (45:28):
They still have the John Elway and Andrew Look comparison
in their mind. It's in their vision now. With Liam Cohen,
I guess the moon.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
I guess it's possible, But I just I feel like
at this point, you know, this is.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
The year for him, right, Like, if he doesn't do
it this.
Speaker 4 (45:42):
Year, it's now.
Speaker 1 (45:45):
I mean, they've they've they've committed to him for real.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
But like, if it doesn't happen this year, I think
everyone's going to be like.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
Yeah, he is what he is?
Speaker 4 (45:54):
No, you mean in fantasy? Yeah, probably.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
I've kind of like, I I don't I don't think he
has a ton of upside, but I could. He's one
of those guys that there's a big group of guys
like this, I think that could volume their way to
a QB one finish. I don't think he's ever gonna
blow you away, but it wouldn't surprise me if at
the end of the year he's in that like QB
ten or eleven in total points, just because the offense
(46:20):
he's in and the weapons around him.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that's certainly possible, and I think
he could be. I think he could be a QB one.
I think I think that's certainly possible for him.
Speaker 5 (46:29):
But the hype that I'm talking about is it's strapped
and attached to Brian Thomas Junior. I mean, look, I
have no problem him going in the second round, early
second round, but we're seeing him go as high as
like the one ten over Nico, over guys in debate
like Drake London. Like, I feel as though there's more
risks in that pick of having that hype put him
that high, where I could just sit and get a
Drake London and feel a lot more.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Safe for saying, man AJ Brown should be going ahead
of all these guys aj n exactly.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
I mean, yeah, well, but I think part of the
reason I said Brian Thomas though, is because I have
I've drafted.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Quite a bit of Drake London, for sure. I've drafted
a decent amount of A J.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Brown.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Uh yeah, it means not hiding it. So like I
kind of want to balance that out though, right if
I've got London, I've got Brown, I kind of want
to balance that out and throw some BTJ in there.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
I've got a little bit of that too.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
I mean, look, everything comes from around, everything keeps coming
to Lad. I mean, you know, sure Trey Harris is there,
but you know, Michael Williams, Oh, come on, Florida.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
Don't do that.
Speaker 4 (47:37):
Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
It's not against him.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
It's like you gotta you gotta be there, right like
you gotta sign and play.
Speaker 5 (47:44):
And I'm not against I've said this before here. I'm
not against Ladd being your wide receiver too in draft.
But if you're waiting and you go running back in
the first round for him the b you're one, You're
going to be hurting. That's all I'm going to say.
We're in a Greg Roman offense. His peaks of Fantasy
wide receivers Ammy Watkins wide receiver fifteen and that is
in a good offense.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
But was better than that last year.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
Okay, some more.
Speaker 5 (48:07):
Games right there, There was more games at it. So
we're adding more games, but gets more games. But but
listen to what I'm saying is that we're going into
this season thinking we're going to see what we saw
on the back end. It's going to be a run
first offense. It's a low pass time. He's not going
to hit those ceilings that everybody is projecting for him.
That's just my standpoint where I'm sitting at.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Yeah, except it's just getting harder to figure out where
those other targets go. Like who absorbs all those other targets.
I mean, maybe it's Trey Harris, but with nobody. I'm
out on the Johnston trend. I'm beaten, you folks. Target
share charge of social media is trying to make us
believe in QJ again.
Speaker 5 (48:46):
You see, it's being forced down our throat and here
it is that.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Is that means good things for.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
No one can guard.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
I mean, it's just the way, no matter how you
spin it, it keeps coming back.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
To Ladd it does. He keeps coming back.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
I'm gonna buy a lad McConkie's shirt of some kind
just for this podcast.
Speaker 5 (49:07):
I actually have zero shares of him that I'm looking
right now.
Speaker 4 (49:10):
Andrew lad McConkie could be his year.
Speaker 8 (49:14):
Who knows, he would not be nearly if he went
if he was just like Andy McConkey, Like, now, yeah,
Andy McConkie is not getting drafted.
Speaker 4 (49:26):
Andy McConkie is a kicker.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
That's my friend.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
Has a theory that in fantasy sports, players with cool
names get hyped up more.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
They do interesting theory. We should look into that. We
actually into the cool name theory.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
It's not a name well you know, that's all it
needs to be.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
Though.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
We live in a world where athletes get nicknames based
on their first initial and the first part of.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Their last name.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
So Juju was always his go to example, Like he
was like yo, if he's John Smith earlier in fantasy.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
You're I mean, I mean, look when Michael James changed
to Mike James, like it just he started dropping punts.
Speaker 4 (50:05):
It was bad, Like Michael James didn't do that.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
Mike has no. No, you can't go by that.
Speaker 4 (50:10):
No, it's just terrible.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
You can't do that.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
