Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hey everybody, It's Wednesday, September third, twenty twenty five. Welcome
to the NFL Fantasy Football Show, where the time for
talk is over, the time for football is now. It's
me and your man, MG Marcus Grand joined by Michael
Florio and Lakwan Jones. We made it, guys, through the
long dark night of the offseason. Congratulations.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I'm excited we have actual football substance to talk about.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Man. Absolutely, we're gonna dive into that. We're getting you
ready for Week one with game previews, must starts, and
some sleepers as well. We're gonna start with ah one
fantasy headline that coming from the team that plays across
the street. What are the two teams that plays across
the street at SOFI Stadium. Najee Harris is reportedly ramping
up to play Friday against the Chiefs. That game is
(00:52):
gonna be in Sou Paul. Of course, he missed pretty
much the entirety of training camp in the preseason as
he was dealing with an eye injury, which is why
we only have video footage of him in a Steelers uniform.
I know we've sort of been looking at this all
off season long. I know a lot of folks Florio
love Omari and Hampton how much in the short term,
and I guess over the course of the season, do
(01:13):
you think Naji Harris impacts Hampton?
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Not enough for me to not start Hampton, Like I'm
playing Hampton in week one if I took him up. Look,
Harris hasn't played all preseason, like we said, he hasn't.
Not only has he not played, he hasn't been at practice.
And this is a new offense, so it might take
him a little bit to get going. And that means
there's a runway for Hampton to just take a stranglehold
on the heavy part of this job and be like
a set and forget a guy for fantasy.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
So no worries. Lookuand about Greg Rollman saying we're gonna
be a two back team.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
No, there is words there's definitely gonna be a two
back system. I do think that we're kind of underrating
of like where the Chargers are and what their identity
is for this offense.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Like there will be a ramp.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Up period for Najie Harris as the season progresses, because
again he's been out this entire summer, Like we don't
know anything about it. It's good to seehim that he's
tracking the ball, catch the ball, and etcetera, et cetera.
But I think more so when we look at a
Marion Hanton. There's no way you're telling the owner right
now that you're gonna sit him.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
No, definitely not gonna sit now. After you spit that
draft capital on him, He's gonna get opportunity. The question
becomes how much we will all find out together? Time
to check out the first to score odds for this
week's Cowboys Eagles kickoff game. Here are the odds for
who will score the first touchdown on Thursday night. Very
little surprise. The two names at the top sa Kwon
Barkley and Jalen Hurts, followed by Arthur Jan Brown, Cede Lamb,
(02:30):
and DeVonta Smith round out the top five. So that
gets us to the Cowboys versus the Eagles. You can
see that game Thursday, eight twenty pm Eastern Time. Is
the alleged kickoff on the National Broadcasting Company. I say
alleged because they always say eight to twenty and then
you turn it in an eight twenty and it's like,
you know, it's gonna be ten minutes of Mike Tico
(02:52):
talking to whoever.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Ratings Baby ratings.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Let's go gotta sell more ads. Anyway. To talk about
that game though, between the Cowboys and the Eagle Florio,
I know we're all expecting big things out of Seed Lamb.
He's been a target monster. I don't think anybody is
worried about him. But let's talk about the guy on
the other side, because getting George Pickens was kind of
a big deal for this Cowboys team. Your expectations for
I guess Luigi the Mario brothers in this game.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
We know Sedarian Lamb is gonna be I had to
go with the government game.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
We know he's gonna get it.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I'm in on Pickens, and look, I said this on
Fantasy Live. This might be because in the recent the
last week or so, I've been like, I haven't had
enough George George Pickens, and I got really into taking
George Pickens in the drafts. I still had but I
think the Cowboys are gonna be playing from behind. I
think they're gonna be having to throw and it probably
means a couple of deep shots for George Pickens.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
So the floor might not be super safe, but.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
The ceiling is high enough where Look, he drafted this
guy probably as your wide receiver two or three.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
I think you start him.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
And I said, I think he has a bigger day
than Devonza Smith on Fantasy Live. And I'm sticking with
that here.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
You know it's gonna be weird too, because we just
saw that board of the odds. Who's gonna score the
first touchdown? You know it's gonna be like Jake Ferguson, right.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Yes, let's go. There's no there was one cowboy on that.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
It's gonna be like Jake. It's gonna be somebody that
nobody kicker turn. We don't want that. On the other side, Lakwan,
the Eagles were an incredibly run heavy team. Makes sense
when you're running backs going for two thousand yards in
a season. They threw it less than any team in
the NFL. Do you expect we're gonna see the Eagles
throwing the football more?
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
It's Week one.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
They're gonna put on the show. I definitely think that
the Eagles are gonna take advantage of the absence of
Micael Parsons like that Cowboys secondary like they don't show
the elite presence that they used to have in the
past like this entire secondary has been sketchy this whole
off season where I think that the like the Cowboys,
they're gonna have to get after Jalen Hurts. But AJ
Brown is back. He seems to be healthy, like he
(04:50):
had a hamstring injury he was dealing with all summer.
But it looks like they are ready to go. And
Davante Smith he's rolling out in a lot of my
flex leagues where I think he's gonna have a strong
performance in Week one.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I want to Smith was another guy and we didn't.
I don't think we touched on this in the offseason.
It felt like his ADP was surprisingly low.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah, he's not the not sec like nobody wants to
take them off the boarders the wide receiver too.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
It was hard for me to get excited for him.
I understand how good he is and if like AJ
Brown misses or whatever, but like when they were healthy
last year, he had six targets per game.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah that is true, that's fair, But I do think
I think with him throwing the ball more, that target
number goes.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
I do think they're going to throw the ball. Yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
I should be an exciting one to kick off the season,
starting it with the defending champs taking on a division rival.
That is how the season begins. It continues the very
next day on Friday with the Chiefs and the Chargers
from sal Polo, Brazil. You can see that game at
eight pm Eastern on the YouTube's for Absolutely Free ninety nine.
Flora's been a lot of talk by the Chiefs about
(05:49):
how they want to be more vertical, they want to
throw the deep ball more. They're not gonna have her
she Rice in week one. Marquise Brown has been banged
up all off season. Do you expect we will see
those supposed fire works from the Chiefs offense in Week one?
Speaker 4 (06:01):
I do.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
I think the biggest question or one of the biggest
questions going into the season are they going to air
the ball out more? And everything they have said all offseason,
and then what they did in the preseason. Mahomes averaged
over ten air yards per attempt in his limited preseason action.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
And then look, I know the Chargers and.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Chiefs last year when they would get together, it wasn't
always the highest scoring of games, but we saw a
lot of points had in Brazil last year. I think
we're gonna see something similar this year. And look, you're
starting Mahomes if you have them, but I have Xavier
Worthy as they start this week. I have Pacheco as
they start this week. I'm not starting Mark He's brown
unless I'm really desperate, but I think he's like a
(06:39):
boomer bust option. People are starting Kelsey if you're into that.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
So yeah, I expect.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
To see at least the Chiefs trying to air the
ball out more and that should lead to good things.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
I mean, look, the one thing we took away from
the super Bowl was that Mahomes deep shot near the end.
I know the game was over, the game was over,
but we all were like, yep, there it is. This
is this is the team next year for sure. Moving
on to some of the Sunday action. We got the
Bucks at the Falcons, a matchup in the NFC South Lakwan.
(07:09):
You jumped on the Kyle Pitts hype train, it got delayed.
You decided you might be taking a ride share. But
now Michael Pennix he's talking up again. So this week,
you know, we know Drake London's gonna get his but
Darneld Mooney not one hundred percent healthy Week one. Do
you start Kyle Pits.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Or nah, listen me.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Personally, I am not buying tickets to the Kyle Pits
Breakout concert. I'm waiting for night one to happen to
get the reviews from the fantasy streets.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
But I can best.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Believe that the fantasy streets will let us know that
they are starting Kyle Pits with this matchup against the Bucks,
where we saw him put in work last season. Tight
end one numbers in both matchups twenty five fantasy points,
fifteen fantasy points. So I'm pretty sure that the Kyle
Pits stands are really excited to put him in starting
lineups this week because the Bucks have not figured out
how to stop the tight end position in very years.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
The Kyle Pitts stands that that meeting has gotten surprisingly
emptier over the years. There's still few I you know,
I will say I'm not I'm not at every single meeting,
but I do pop my head in, maybe get some
donuts and coffee every once in a while. I know
Adam Rank is still very much on board. I mean,
I feel like this is a week I would if
(08:21):
I have him, I would take the shot on I.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Got I get it though, But Michael Pennix is my guy,
but if he ends up unlocking Kyle Pits this season,
it will never hear the end of it. Like the
tickets will be sold out forever. Oh yeah, I don't
want to be part of the circus this week, but
I do understand folks putting him in starting line up.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I will tell you this, this is one of the
sick men of that.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
I'll be honest.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I'm not starting getting I don't have him in any.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
Line there we go.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
But I will also say if if you if you
were there and you left, oh, believe the gatekeepers will
be out. They are not. They are not gonna let you.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
I see the comments.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
I know they're gonna spin back on us talking about
some Kyle pitch broke out handhand.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
It's all good. It's all good though.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Bengals and Browns the Battle of Ohio, and we've talked
a lot about the Bengals in the fact that they
are sort of the AFC Cowboys, or maybe the Cowboys
are the NFC Bengals. I'm not really that way.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
The Cowboys are the NFC, The Cowboys are the NFC Bengals.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
On the other side, though we haven't talked a lot
about the Browns, except people you know, wish casting Shaduur
as the starting quarterback, which ain't gonna happen anytime soon.
Beyond that, Florio, how many Browns are you comfortable starting
this week? Mind you the Bingles defense it's bad?
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Yeah, still one?
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Well, maybe two, Like it depends on Jerry Judy and
what your wide receiver situation is. I could see putting
Jerry Judy into a lineup this week. I personally though,
it's David and Joku or Bus for me, Like I
wasn't drafting Jerry Judy, so I don't have him on
a ton of teams. But David and Joku twice last
year against the Bengals ten catches seventy six yards and
a touchdown on fourteen targets and eight catches for sixty
(09:56):
six yards on ten targets, and then adding that he
ever over eighteen fantasy points per game two years ago
with Joe Flacco. In the last two years, every other
quarterback it's around eleven per game for Ndjoku. I think
given the matchup, who the quarterback is and everything, he
is a must start.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
And I'm avoiding the running backs. I like Dylan Samson.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
I think he's got upside, but there's no buys, there's
no injuries. Like, I'm not plugging him into a Week
one line up.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah. People keep asking me about the Browns running backs
and I'm just like, that's that's gonna be on you.
Good luck, that's sort of on you right there. I
don't I don't have any real answers for you at all.
Dolphins at the Colts earlier this summer, Laukwan, we talked
to Cam Wolfe we hope to have on again really
soon as well, and we talked about the Dolphins. One
of the things he said is he still thinks, despite
(10:41):
all the bad vibes around the Dolphins, that Tyreek Hill's
gonna be Okay, did we sleep too much on Tyreek
Hill this offseason?
Speaker 3 (10:47):
There wasn't much sleeping.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Man.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
We've been locked in glued to this off season circus
like this seems like a new season of the Jersey
Shore winning went down. Seriously, Like, think about it, It's
been nothing but shenanigainst this entire off season with Tyreek
Hill in this situation, if we're gonna comp it to
the Jersey Shore of Miami, that season too. How chaotic
and entertaining that was. Tyrek is going to be Sam
in this situation. He's going to be saying to a
stop Ron, stop that. And Tua is definitely going to
(11:11):
be He's going to be so petty to where I
have a theory of where I think Jalen Waddell might
end up as the wide receiver one for the Dolphins
this season because I think Tyreek Hill is going to
have to earn earn the stripes back into that locker
room because this is the first season that he hasn't
been a captain.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
I know, we're time women and stuff here. You were
the Tyrek all summer.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
You get new information from Mr Guy cam Wolf, and
then you process and apply.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
To what we're going to be doing.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
I have a lot of leagues with Tyreek Hill.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I'm still rolling him out. He has the matchup in
Week one against the Colts. I mean, they were god awful.
They were bottom the tables stopping wide receivers last season.
So I think he's still gonna be okay, but he
may not be the Tyreek that we love from the past.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I was really waiting for you to say, like Tyreek
Hill is going to be GTL go routes, touchdowns or
something like.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
That's what I was really no Season two Dreser Miami.
But no, it was chaotic, toxic, was just it was
just insane.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
We were all glued to it.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
All right, sounds good. We'll get back to some more
games a little bit later on in the show. But
now is the portion of the program, and we give
you our must starts of the week. It's time to
see who will deliver, presented by Uber Eats Lakwan based
on what you have been saying all summer. This is
no surprise what you're going with.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Where's my camera?
Speaker 4 (12:23):
Gave me my solo?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
We are going r J Harvey Week one.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
I cannot wait for this dude to house off of
a screen, off of.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
His first touch.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yeah, we're going Trayvon Henderson or over here when we're
talking r J Harvey. If folks are worried about the
unofficial depth chart, I don't care about the unofficial depth chart.
When we look at this backfield, he may not be
the RB one, but he is the most dangerous running
back in that backfield. So I don't want to hear
any of the cries and moans. I'm starting RJ. Harvey
with confidence he is my must start this week. With
(12:53):
the matchup against Tennessee JKS.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
I will say I have R. J. Harvey as the
start this week.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
I also think Dobbins is a good foot.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
It's gonna be a one two punch.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
We got to enjoy the show.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
They're gonna They're gonna have a big lead in that one.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
I think so as well. For who is your must
start of the.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Week, Baker Mayfield and pretty much any Buck that you
drafted early. That includes a Mecca Abuka, who I have
as a start in stardom Sitam.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
But the reason why I know it's a new year,
new defense. All of that.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
The Falcons last year struggled against the pass. Uh They
allowed these second most passing touchdowns two quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
And Baker Mayfield threw three.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Touchdown passes in each of the games that they played
against each other, and the Bucks averaged twenty eight points
per game in those day were shootouts. I expect a
similar thing. That's just what happens when these two teams
get together. It's always a close game. It always comes
down to the wire. There's usually a lot of points.
And in Week one, I'm a big believer that you
kind of start the team that you drafted, and if
(13:51):
you drafted Baker and Irving and Evans and Buka, like
you drafted them to be starters, So start them in
a great matchup.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Yeah. I especially think Mike Evans gets off to a
quick start just because there aren't a lot of other consistent,
you know, proven pass catching threats around him for sure. Well,
uh still, the Kawan likes r J. Harvey heard Florial
talk about how he likes both of the running backs.
I'm gonna like the defense got it for similar reasons.
I think that Broncos defense goes out to a quick start.
Here's the thing the Broncos defense, it's good. They were
(14:21):
very good last year in terms of points allowed, in
terms of turnovers, in terms of sacks. They really got
after other teams. Now here's the thing about the Titans offense.
It's mid. Those aren't my words, those are cam Ward's words.
He said that himself midway through training camp to the
offense is mid. I think they'll be better than they
were last year. I don't think they'll be great. I
think the Dolph or the the Broncos rather get out
(14:43):
to a lead. I think it becomes defense running the
ball in the second half. So if you drafted the
Broncos defense again to your point, if you drafted them,
you drafted them to start. But this is a week
that I think you'll be especially pleased that you have.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
We're gonna talk about cam Ward because no one talked
We've talked about him on this show, but more shows
weren't talking about him.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
Now everyone's gonna be like, look and the number one pick.
It's the number one defense in the NFL. It's his
first game.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
There's gonna be growing pains for sure. That was Who
Will Deliver, presented by Uber Eats, where you can get
the best deals on game day food all season long,
the official on demand delivery partner of the NFL.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Order.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Now, all right, gotta take a quick break. We got
plenty more to talk about. We're gonna give you some
sleepers for the week. Plus we're pitting two highly drafted
rookie running backs against each other. Stay tuned for that.
On the NFL Fantasy Football Show, it's Cat Fight Panthers
at the Jaguars. Big talk in the offseason, Floria was
(15:38):
about that Jaguars backfield. In your mind, who is the
Jaguars running back to roster, maybe even to start this week.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
I would not ideally be starting them because we I
want to see how this workload is distributed before I
just blindly trusted. But I would say Travis Etn is
the one that I most want because he's gonna be
the passing down one. He is also the back that
is a couple of years removed from being an RB
one in fantasy. But this week I have some questions
because if they're playing with the lead that was they
(16:08):
used Tank Bigsby last year. I know it's a different
coach and stuff, and Liam Cohen brings a lot of
upside for these back to this backfield, but until we
see one guy kind of really take the stranghold of it,
I'd avoid.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Got a weird duo down in Duvo Raiders at the Patriots,
Ashton Genty versus Trevion Henderson, two guys going very early
in fantasy drafts. Genty a first round pick, Henderson a
second round pick. Who you got this week? OLQ? This
is a hard question to answers.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
This is like where I put these two as like
this is gonna be fireworks in Week one? Like what
did we do to deserve this, like this is gonna
be pay per view, Like these two are icons of
their class, like Ashton Genty.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
To me, he's the.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Top of his class.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
He is stone cold Steve Boston in this one. And
then when you look at Traveon Henderson, he's one of
the most electrifying running backs in sports entertainment.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
He is the rock.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
This is wrestle many a seventeen pay per view type stuff.
But if I had to choose the side, who's going
to be the top performer out of the two, I'm
probably gonna go Travion hen WHOA. I just not see
Florio go insane on Fantasy Live when Trayvon Henderson puts
up a toy a.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Head if he if he does, it'll just come right off.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Wow, all right, that's not I know it's rooted.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
For stone Cold, But in this example, I'm going.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
With this, and you smell what Travion Henderson is cooking.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
I called him than on some Fantasy we're giving him
all the let's see, that's exactly why Cardinals at.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
The Saints the Saints Florida? Which which Saints? Are you
comfortable starting this week?
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Ever?
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Yeah, there was your audio didn't cut out Alvin Kamara
or bust and even Alvin Kamara, I will admit I
don't have him on any teams and maybe that will
be a mistake, but I don't know, Like I just
don't trust their quarterback play. I know Kellen Moore is
a good play caller, but Spencer Rattler is the quarterback.
And maybe that does mean a lot of dumpoffs, but
(18:05):
he played seven games last year. In four of them,
the Saints scored ten points or fewer. You're talking about
there being being maybe one touchdown up for grabs each week,
Like it's just not a way to live. I have
Chris olave as they said, I don't think there's a
single other Saint you should be considering in Week one
besides those two. But if you did take the shot
in Kamara, you probably are starting.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
In six starts last year for Spencer Rattler, the Saints
average twelve point three points, the Nice eleven total turnovers
in that time. I drafted Ashii Shaheed on a couple
of teams. I don't love it. I'm about asking Adam
Rank maybe tried to try to make me feel better
about it. I don't love it. So there you go,
real nasty Steelers at Jets, which is kind of a
(18:47):
double revenge game, right, you got Aaron Rodgers going against
the Jets. You got Justin Field's going against the Steelers.
We're not gonna talk about either of those guys, and said,
we're gonna talk about the two teams backfields because on
one side you got Breize Hall and Braylan Allen. On
the other side you got Caleb Johnson and Jalen Warren.
Look on which team's backfield pieces that you can pick one,
maybe you can pick the duo. Which side are you
(19:08):
more comfortable with? I would say the Jets.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
I mean, like Bresaw last season put up one hundred
receiving yards and all off season that we've been hearing
everything about brisall Is being a threat in that passing game.
So for him last season to be a huge threat
against the Steelers last year putting up one hundred and
three receiving yards, I think that's where they might have
to lean because on the ground, we know the Steelers front.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Is hard to get after.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
We know that this is going to be a defense
that's going to focus on stopping the run. So Braylon
Adam I don't see him coming out into my flex
position just yet, but I'm glad that I drafted him
in a lot of my leagues as my RB four
to where I could see how this backfield just kind
of plays out and then deploy him when I can
when it's reasonable.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
In that matchup, Tanneringstrom coming over from Detroit, we'll see
if he can recreate Sonic and Knuckles.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Maybe on Broadway for the rare double Revenge game.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
In this one, the rare double Revenge game, we didn't
talk about either of those giants. At Commanders another matchup
in the NFC East, we know we're starting Jayden Daniels,
We're starting Terry McLaurin. The backfield's a little trickier, I
think now with no Brian Robinson any running backs on
the Commander's side, you're comfortable starting preferably no.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
If I had to go with one, it would be
Austin Eckler. I have Bill as a sit and has
nothing to do with him being fourth on the week
one depth chart. It's more about the fact that Eckler
we know what his role is right like, he has
the passing downs on lock. I think he's gonna get
some carries, and probably I wouldn't be rule out him
being used here the goal line just yet. They're saying
(20:36):
Chris Rodriguez though, could be the short yard guy. We
know Debo's gonna get some involvement here and there in
the running game. And then Jayden is going to run
probably Aim and Justin fields more than any quarterback in
the NFL.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
So I would get away from Bill.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
I would preferably get away the only two commanders. It's
weird because I have them being like a super Bowl team.
The only two I feel confident in though, are Jayden
and Terry.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Yeah. Well, I mean it's sort of like the Chiefs
last year, right, like they were fifteen to two in
the regular season. There wasn't really anybody we wanted to
start with that offense. So you know, sometimes fantasy and
real football don't necessarily connect with one another. All right,
So that's a look at the early games on Sunday,
plus the Thursday and Friday games. Stay tuned for later
in the week. We'll get you the rest of the
Week one slate as well. But now it is time
(21:20):
we're gonna give you some sleepers for the weeks. Guys
who can help you earn a win on Sunday, So Lakwan,
who you got man?
Speaker 3 (21:27):
My big snorre Lax the biggest sleeper. We bringing back
the Snorelax by the way. But I do think that
Jordan Bata is going to be a sleeper because again
it's hard to convince folks to have him roll out
in their starting lineups in week one, being that Aaron
Jones is still there. But I wouldn't be surprised if
Jordan Mason makes a statement in week one and come
out swinging. I honestly think that with this scheme with
(21:48):
Koc on the sticks, he's going to be able to
be the benefactor of this outside zone scheme. Before in
previous pods we talked about Jordan Mason and how he
was able to thrive over there with the forty whiners,
being that he at a six point carry on outside
zone schemes.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
I'm sorry, it just comes out natural. Man.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
I gotta throw you a jab here, and when it
comes to those forty winers, hope.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
You guys he is back. Stafford's back was actually down,
actually pretty well gone. Exure sleeper for the week.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
If if R J. Harvey is was he the Jersey short.
Is he like the ron Oh no, no, that was
Tyreek Hill. Well he's alright. So if R J.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Harvey is like your situation, right, then oh, JK. Dobbins
is like your poly d right, Like he's the sidekick.
He's well, he's gonna get plenty himself. And that's what
I expect from JK. Dobbins this week. I think, for
all the reasons you guys said earlier, the Broncos are
going to have a lead. I think they're going to
run the ball a lot in the second half, and
that means we're gonna see a good amount of JK.
Dobbins as well as R. J.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Harvey. I think this is.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
One of those weeks where both of the backs are
in play. Like I have Harvey higher and I think
he is a start, But I think JK. Dobbins is
the third down and passing down option potential, the goal
line guy. I think in this matchup he sees enough
where I'm flexing him in a couple of leagues and
I feel pretty good about it.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
One of those guys you mentioned there is TV successful.
One of them is actually successful. Holy D's actually successful.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
So everyone went to jail right exactly so.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
I don't know if you want to keep that analogy going.
We'll find out. My sleeper of the week is Drake May.
And we spent all off season talking about how we're
excited to see what Drake May has to offer. I
said last year his season was one of those you
sort of had to be there because statistically it didn't
necessarily wow you. But now they hopefully have upgraded the
wide receiver room. We'll see what Stefan Diggs has left
in the tank. We'll see if Kyle Williams can make
(23:38):
an impact. We'll see if some of the guys that
have been there before can continue to improve Pop Douglas,
Kashawan Boody, will see what happens there. But the Raiders
also feel like a good litmus test for this guy
to get going. I don't know that you can start
Drake May every single week, but this is one of
those matchups where it feels like he could creep into
the bottom part of the top twelve for the week.
Plus he can run. That's the other part of his
(23:59):
game that we absolutely love. So Drake May for me
is a sleeper in Week one. There you go, and
as the start of the season, we are so glad
that we are back. We back. We did a couple
of times a week here streaming live. You can see
it on the NFL channel, YouTube dot com slash NFL
Fantasy Football. Be sure to check it out also in
the NFL Fantasy App. But for now that is it's
