Speaker 2 (00:00):

Rank and Michael f Flooria, we are breaking down every
single game on the Sunday slate. Let you know who
to start, who to sit, and maybe who to be
aware of. Plus Michael Ifloria lets you know who to
go with the flow with guys who are hot in
weeks one, in Week two, who may be able to
(00:21):
keep it going for Week three. Stick around and enjoy
this edition of the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Happy Friday.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Everybody we have made it to the week game also
made it to another edition of NFL Fantasy Live. I'm
Marcus Grant, that is Adam Rank, that is Michael f Florio. Florio,
you and I are facing each other in a dynasty
league and James Cook just put twenty one on you.
How does that make you feel?
Speaker 3 (00:59):
I don't care in the slightest I have James Cook
in a number of leagues. I have some Josh Allen. Obviously,
I'm a Bills fan. It's a great Friday, except for those.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Teams that I started keyon Coleman.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
With Yeah, I think it was a Giants guy.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah, no, no, okay, no, but but he's a Mets fan.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I don't know, I can't.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
There's a lot of things. There's a lot of things
going on there right now. Time to get to some news.
We call this segment if you know, you know, because
there is some big news going on right now. The
nation's capital, Dan Quinn spoke to reporters today and made
it official. Jaden Daniels has been ruled out for Sunday's
contest against the Raiders. That means veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota
will take the Reins as the starter at least for
(01:38):
week three.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Of course, Jayden not the only quarterback dealing with injuries.
That has been a theme all throughout the week. See
there's a call to arms. We know Joe Burrow out
for an extended period of time, So that means Jake
Browning is at the helm. JJ McCarthy out with an
ankle injury. Turns to Carson Wentz in Minnesota. Justin fields
out this week, so Tyrod Taylor gets to start, and
as we mentioned, Jade and Daniels giving way to Marcus Mariota.
(02:02):
If that doesn't even include brock Perty, who may or
may not play for the San Francisco forty nine ers
this week against the Arizona Cardinals. So if we are
looking for help at this point at the quarterback position,
ranking any options for folks.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
Well, I mean I think at first you're going to
go look and see if Daniel Jones is available. He's
probably not, but if he is, that's one player to consider.
But I really like Michael Pennix Junior this week going
up against the Carolina Panthers. Last season, when he faced
the Panthers, he absolutely destroyed them over to our close
to twenty five fantasy points depending on your scoring. Some
(02:35):
of my quarterback scoring leagues are much more generous, so
it is a bigger game than that.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
But what we've seen over the last.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Couple of starts for him, dating back to the twenty
twenty four season, he's scored at least twenty four fantasy
points and two out of his last three. The Panthers
have allowed the fifth most passing yards per game this season,
and they've tied for the most touchdown passes since twenty
twenty four. They've allowed thirty seven touchdown since the start
of last year. So Michael Pennix Junior is a great option.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yeah, I'm a Bills fan who lives in New York
because they're the only New York team.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
But if you want to go to Jersey, I could
give you an option there with Russell Wilson, who last
week scored thirty points and was the QB two. He
threw for over four hundred yards and three scores. Look,
I know he is unlikely to do that again, but
we saw that there is upside there. He is tied
to a couple of good receivers, and I think this
is a game where he could be chasing points and
(03:32):
the Chiefs they are the top ten and fantasy points
per game allowed to quarterbacks. We saw Justin Herbert throw
all over them. It's not ideal, but I've had.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
To plug him in a couple of places for Jade
and Daniels.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Go some options if you were hurting at the quarterbacks. Meanwhile,
did he's miss smirch Justin Herbert?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Even Justin Herbert, I said he threw all over this
Chiefs defense.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
All right, So there you go between the Dolphins and.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
The business picking up Michael Pennix right now, Buffalo pulls
out the wind.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
But obviously for us our fantasy purposes a lot more
to sort to take in there.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Rank. What did you take away from last night's game?
Speaker 5 (04:05):
You know what I learned that Josh Allen really likes
Dalton Kincaid. He might not be out there on every snap,
but what he is he is being heavily targeted. And
this is one of the things that we wanted to
see going back to last season. We were hoping he
was going to break out and be Listen, the comparisons
were there. They were comparing him to Travis Kelcey. It
was one of those things. However, you know, this was
a very Kelsey like performance. Five receptions, sixty six yards
(04:28):
and a touchdown. He has been targeted, I'm close to
twenty five percent of his routes this season. That's the
eighth highest total amongst tight ends. He has caught just
about over eighty percent of his targets as well, so
he's a very reliable receiver. I do think that again,
that Josh Allen is going to be spreading the ball
all the way around. I know that we want Keon
(04:49):
Coleman to be a wide receiver one. We want Dalton
Kinkaid to be a.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Tight end one.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
It's not going to be as prolific as we want
it to be, but it's still going to be pretty good.
So if you are hurting for a tight end, make
sure that Dalton Conkid's on your roster.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yeah, the Bills.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Used five different receivers last night. You know where they're
tightening their usage though, at the running back position, which
is why you can count the running backs. I would
rather have rest of the season over James Cook.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
On one hand.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Look, I'll give you Bejon, I'll give you games. I'll
give you Saquon I think see him see and Henry
are a conversation, and after that, there's no one I
would take over James Cook. Look, he laughs in the
face of touchdown regression, is tied for the league lead
and goal line carries. He's playing more snaps than he
was last year. They're feeding him a ton. He's being
used in the passing game even more, twenty fantasy points
(05:38):
in each game. And look at the upcoming schedule.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
The Bills are.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Going to have a ton of positive gamescript games against
a bunch of struggling run defenses. It might get frustrating
for the pass catchers. You're gonna love having James Cook
on your roster though, so.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Florya, you may not want to have Devon over James Cook.
But he is right now the one dolphin that this
sort of game script proof. He's the one dolphin that
I think you can count on consistently every week. He's
the undisputed RB one there in Miami eighty one percent
of the snaps, forty percent of their touches. So far
this season, he's actually tied with Tyreek Hill for the
(06:13):
team lead in targets. We saw this last year when
tuatungua Ilo was healthy, Davon a Chan was just getting
peppered with targets. The same thing is happening this year.
Regardless of the game situation, with a lead, playing from behind,
two minute situations, short yardage situations, it doesn't matter. Dvan
a Chan's gonna be on the field. He's gonna get
the ball. I know we saw a little bit more
of Oli Gordon yesterday than I thought we would, but
(06:37):
it's is still Devon a Chan's backfield.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
One of those plays too, I think they first counted
it as a rushing attempt.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
We might see a step correction, oh, a.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Couple extra point, a couple an extra point there for
him coming up soon too.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
So if you lose by like half a point, it's
because the stat correction happened and Devon ah Chan got
a reception instead of a carry at that point. But
there is a bigger discussion that we had now about
the Miami Dolphins. Right They're zero to three. Offensively, they
have not been great so far. I mean, Rake, we
spent the relatively high draft pick on a guy like
Tyreek Hill. We love d von Hiv, but how much
(07:11):
can you trust the Dolphins offense going forward?
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, it's gonna be pretty tough.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
I think in the case of Tyreek Hill last season,
like he was a top four, top five guy coming
off the board, and now a lot of people were
avoiding on myself included, I'm starting to circle back around
to the point of like, I want more Tyreek Hill.
I want to go out there and start seeing if
some of the fantasy managers are a little upset with him.
I mean, obviously this is probably the worst time to
(07:37):
do it, because he's coming out for a pretty nice game,
but somebody in your league might be trying to get
cute and me like, I'm gonna sell high here and
You're like, okay, because there might be a chance if
this thing continues to go south, the Tyreek Hill gets traded,
And I think back to last season, Devonte Adams was
somebody who got traded in the middle of the year,
goes to New York, gets a ton of targets. What
(07:57):
if there is a reconnect he goes back to Kansas City,
for instance, Like, there is a chance that he goes
out there and revitalizes his career with a team with
a playoff contender. So I sneakily want to start acquiring
as many Tyreek Hills shares on the chief.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I speak for all AFC fans when I say, do
not trade him back to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
But the issue is they're trading him. It's only going
to get worse here.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
And the thing, I don't think it's a Mike McDaniel issue.
I think it's a two with tongue of iloa problem
right now to what was averaging nearly ten air yards
per row in.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
That big twenty twenty two season.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Since the start of last year, that number has dropped
to less than six, and he was extremely effective targeting
the middle of the field. Defenses are now taking that
away and we are seeing him struggle.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
There is far too much speed and.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Explosiveness on this offense for it to have to operate
this way. It's like when you're at like a light
and a dude in a Ferrari or something pulls up
and like speeds past you. It's like, all right, well,
it's the red lights ten feet away. We're both going
to be stopped there. Like that's what going on with
this offense.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
They have all this speed, they cannot use it at all.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah, and they have been trying to be more vertical.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
That's the story they told in the offseason, and so
far through three games, we just have not really seen
that part of the Dolphins very consistently. All Right, time
to turn our attention to the rest of Week three.
We're gonna start big one in the NFC with the
Rams and the Eagles. A fantastic playoff game from last season.
These two teams will renew pleasantries and rank. When you're
(09:26):
looking at this one, what should people pay attention to?
Speaker 5 (09:28):
You know, I'm gonna keep going with ky Karen Williams.
This is a player that everybody's wanted to move on
from for quite some time, Whether it's Blake Krum or
some other rando they're drafting, like, ah, we're done, Like no, no, no,
We're not done with Kien Williams. Like the Rams extended
during the offseason for a reason, and the reason is
he scores a lot of touchdowns. He has the second
(09:49):
most goal line rush attempts amongst running backs since twenty
twenty four, And honestly, Sean McVay really likes focusing in
on one guy. He likes running the football when he
gets near the everything they love about Kien Williams.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
So I understand that.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
When you see a matchup like the Philadelphia Eagles, you
might have some apprehension still disregard that start Kien Williams.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Yeah, I don't know why everyone is always trying to
replace him, and I think AJ Brown is still a
must start option. Look, they're not taking him off the
field at all. Eight targets last week. The issue is
he has one deep target this season of only one
target of more than ten air yards all year. But
the talk all week has been the lack of deep
passes for the Eagles. So maybe they come out and
(10:33):
they troll the world again. But I think they know
they're gonna have to get aj Brown going. I think
they know they have to start airing it out a
little bit more. Plus he got the Rams for one
hundred yards and a touchdown in the regular season last year,
and I'm still trying to buy low, and I think
fantasy managers should be doing the same.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I think the Eagle's got to score some points this
week to stay up with the Rams, too, which means
they're going to have to throw the football downfield. So
AJ Brown, hopefully DeVonta Smith take advantage of that. Moving
on our next game, We've got these Seas and the
Patriots and to Florio, I know you and Rank were
big Travon Henderson guys.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
You're not ready to give up the ghost yet. Huh No.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
I've gone on every single show that I go on
this week and I've said it, so I might as
well say it one more time. This is going to
be the Travion Henderson week in my opinion. You look
at the Steelers defense, They've allowed the most explosive runs
to running backs. They have really struggled against speed. They
have shut down the powerbacks like Zach Charboneay and Braylan Allen,
but Kenneth Walker unlimited touches torched them last week. Breis
(11:29):
Hall went off against them in Week one, and Henderson
is the most explosive runner on the Pats. I know
last week was about as bad as it possibly could
have gone for the rookie. I'm giving him another opportunity
this week because I think he hits a big player too,
and if that happens, there's no taking him off the
field consistently after that.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
So I'm giving him another week.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
If it doesn't happen this week, maybe we reassessed. But
you heard it here for me and rank first, this
is the Travion Henderson week.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
The vibes are high around Travon Henderson. Meanwhile, the actual
numbers are on the side Ramondre Stevenson, which is why
I think he's a start. Sixty five percent of the snaps,
a quarter of the total touches through the first two games,
and you mentioned it. The Steel run defense has been
surprisingly bad so far this season, ranked twenty eighth in
the league heading into Thursday Night Football four rushing touchdowns
allowed this season. So look, maybe you get Henderson with
(12:18):
the explosive plays, but Stevenson is the guy to kind
of pound the rock for you and catch the football
out of the backfield eighty eight receiving yards last week,
so I still think manre has some life in your
fantasy lineups. Over now to the Cowboys and the Bears,
a game I think could be a really high score
when it feels like a fantasy bonanza this.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
Week, I would expect this to be one of the
highest scoring games of the weekend. And for me, Roma
dunze is a must start for a lot of you
you might not have drafted, especially if you're in a
two wide receiver league. You probably didn't draft him as
you're number one or one of your starting wide receivers.
But now it's time to go back and reassess your lineups.
I know that in some instances where I have Terry
McLaurin on a roster, I'm moving Roma Dunesey ahead.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Of him, even t Higgins, which at the.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
Beginning of the season, I think a lot of people
had high hopes for Tie Higgins, now moving Romadunje up
ahead of him. A Mecca Abuka is another one too,
where like up moving him ahead of him as well.
So this is becoming a position on the Bears that
he might end up being a bona fide wide receiver
one in most instances, but we're getting to the point
now where you must start Roma Dunze.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
We are going from Rome to the Dakota's, notably Dak Prescott,
who is an absolute start this week because the Cowboys
have been incredibly pass heavy over the first couple weeks
of the season, Dak Prescott averaging forty three pass attempts
per game this year, Cowboys throwing at sixty four percent
of the time.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
And look last week.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
I know it was a bad week for the Cowboys
for the Bears defense rather against the Lions, but he
still have been giving up a lot of yards through
the air. I think right now they're still trying to
figure out the scheme there for Dennis Allen. I noticed
last week just some miscommunications and coverage. They lose Jalen Johnson,
which is definitely not going to help their defensive situation.
So I think this is a week where Dak Prescott
goes out and has a big week the football heading
(14:02):
on down to the AFC South. We've got the Colts
and the Titans, and you're not going offensive here.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Michael Elflorio, Huh.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah, We've spent enough time talking Danny dimes and stuff
this week. What about the Colts defense, Because don't look
now the Titans, they're not doing cam Ward a lot
of favors. They are top two in quarterback pressure and
sacks allowed so far this season. Drops have been an
issue for the pass catchers. It's why the Titans are
in the top four.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
And fantasy points per game allowed to defenses, and the Colts'
third most takeaways in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
And they had three the last time they played the
Titans last season. So yeah, I think you could fire
up the Colts defense this week.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
But I am going to take a sleeper from the
Titans offense and it's l Ao Manor.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
And what we've seen.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
Out of him over the first couple of games is
a heavily targeted player. He is targeted on close to
or more than twenty one percent of his routes this season.
That's the highest total amongst rookies. He is averaging over
fifteen yards per target this year and that's fourteenth in
the league. And so again, I know they're trying to
figure out their offense, but when you go up, when
(15:07):
you go back and he watch the Titans. There are
some things there. I think cam Ward is starting to
show some ability. Certainly not going to give up on
him after two games, but I think Elk is going
to be his go to receiver this coming season.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
I still got the Broncos and the Chargers this time
over at SOFI Stadium. Floury, what are you looking for
in this one?
Speaker 4 (15:26):
I think you need to start Keenan Allen right like,
not only does.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
He have a history of success against this Denver defense,
but he is.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Just eating right now.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
The Chargers might be limiting his snaps, but when they
are on the field, when he's on the field, they
are throwing his way at the fourth highest rate in
the NFL third and Keenan is a real thing. Keenan
also plays a good amount of his snaps from the slot,
so he could.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Avoid pats Ertan that way.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
And the Chargers their passing attack is funneled through three
guys right now, and Keenan might be the top one.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Him and lad very much so in play in this matchup.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Well, if you're starting Keenan Allen, I think that means
you're trying to get away from Omari and Hampton, and
so far he's gotten a lot of opportunities, he just
hasn't really been effective with them. Then we saw his
snapshare shrink in week two. Now, gee, Harris obviously missed
the entirety of the preseason in training camp with the
I issue, but starting to get more work as he's
getting healthier and ready to go. In fact, last week,
(16:21):
Harris had the same number of opportunities as Hampton, with
fifteenth fewer snaps. On top of it, Look, I know
Jonathan Taylor went ham last week against the Denver Broncos.
I wouldn't expect those kind of numbers from this Chargers backfield,
So I would try to stay away from Hampton if
you could.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Maybe it comes.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Later, just not right down for him moving on to
another team in the AFC West that the Las Vegas
Raiders taking on the Washington Commanders.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
We already know no Jayden Daniels this week.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Ranked.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Does that impact how you feel about Terry McLaurin. You
would think so.
Speaker 5 (16:49):
Obviously, whenever the starting quarterback is out, you would be
a little cautious what's going on. So I'm gonna say
beware of Terry McLaurin. One of the reasons why is
because he just hasn't clicked so far this season with
the quarterback there. He's had fewer than ten points in
each game this season, so there was already some subcaution.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
There moving forward.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
However, as we said here and I started to look
into this and looked at Marcus Mariota's starts for the
Commanders over the last couple of years. He has had
Terry McLaurin has had fourteen receptions close to one hundred
and fifty yards maybe overweight? Can I actually right? One
hundred and fifty yards? Can do the mat there? He
also scored a touchdown, so it's not the detriment that
(17:32):
you think it is. But again, if you have players
like Roma Dunes a Mecca Abuka like players like that,
you might want to move over. Terry McLaurin beware, but
but don't get out of there completely.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
Yeah, friends don't let friends trust Marcus Mariota's pass catchers
if they could avoid it.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
But I do think friends allow you to start.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Jacoby Myers, who is just mister underappreciated at this point,
fifth most targets amongst wide receivers this season, with double
digits in each game. It has led to double digit
fantasy points in each game, and I will fully admit
I did not see this coming. The Raiders are throwing
at the fourth highest rate in the NFL through two weeks,
so as long as he's getting that kind of volume,
(18:14):
he is going to be in play for fantasy purposes.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Next game up, it's the Houston Texans heading down to Jacksonville.
He done a duvo to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars,
a couple of quarterbacks who are struggling to start the season,
and on the Jacksonville side of things. That's the reason
I'm saying you gotta beware of Brian Thomas Junior this week.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
It's not just a quarterback situation.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
It is partially because he's also dealing with a wrist
injury that has limited his participation in practice as the
Jaguars have progressed.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
But here's the thing about BTJ.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
A lot of the metrics you like are good, high
route participation, the target share, high air yards per target.
The problem is when you look at some of the
data fifty percent catchable targets that one, per Fantasy Life's
utilization report, sixth worst among players at least thirty rounds run.
On paper, this seems like a decent matchup against the
Texans defense that's given up a lot of fantasy points
to wide receivers. But until I see more accuracy, better
(19:08):
catchuble targets from Trevor Lawrence, really hard to lean on
Brian Thomas Junior.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
If you're saying beware of Brian Thomas Junior, there is
no way you could start Trevor mid Lawrence says he
has been dubbed on our podcast, Marcus.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Even with the big game.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Last week against the Bronco the Bengals, he is yet
to finish as a QB one in any week this season,
and he has left a lot of production on the fields.
And it's not just that the matchup is awful for him.
He has multiple passing touchdowns in just one of his
last six games against the Texans, and he has more
career interceptions against this defense than he does touchdowns. So yeah,
(19:46):
I know you might be in need of quarterback, you
gotta look elsewhere than Jacksonville to get one.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Looking forward to next week's edition of the podcast, when
Lakwan Jones updates the Trevor Lawrence mid O meters see
where he is after this week game against the Houston Texans.
Moving on, we got the New York Jets and the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rank.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
You've mentioned Double Lee a couple times already.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
I have, and I know a lot of people are probably
screaming at their television sets, being like, the dude is hurt. However,
he did return to practice on Friday, which means he's
probably good to go to start, and I'm going to
start him this week against the New York Jets.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
One of the things that I've been the.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Most impressed about Double is the ninety three percent snap
shares you see right there. He has been on the field.
It is very difficult to get him out of there.
He leads the Buccaneers and snaps and routes. This year,
he is tied for the most receiving touchdowns with three,
him and a couple other guys. Roma Dunje is also
one of them who has three. And actually, for a
(20:38):
rookie to have three touchdowns to start his career, that's
something we haven't really seen since the fifties. But that's
usually when they stop going back. Kendall stops. If I
ask Kendall to go look up a stat on Marshall
Goldberg or Gaynell Tinsley from the forties.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
He won't do it. He's like, I stop at fifty.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Once Crazy leg Hirsh came into the NFL, That's when
the NFL started, according to Next Gen Ken. But I'm
comfortable starting Mecha Abuka this week.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
I didn't think el.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Roy Crazy lakes Hirsch was gonna make the show start.
Breese Hall. On the other side of things mentioned at
the top of the show, Justin Field's already ruled out
with concussion symptoms. Look, Tyrod Taylor is a good quarterback
in terms of sort of keeping the offense movie trying
to keep this thing afloat. They are not going to
ask Tyrod Taylor to try and go out and win
the football game for them. I think that job falls
(21:28):
to Breese Hall. I think we kind of worry a
little bit less about Braylan Allen taking over the backfield.
He has really struggled in his first couple weeks of
the season. Now I would like to see Breese Hall
get some more targets. We haven't seen a lot of
that the first couple of weeks. Maybe that happens this week.
The Bucks we know can move the ball, they can
score I think the Jets are gonna have to try
and control the ball a little bit, try and keep
the ball away from Baker Mayfield and that passing game
(21:50):
and from Bucky Irving. So I think this is gonna
be a week where we see a lot of Breeze
Hall in the offense for Game Green. Never miss another
touchdown from your fantasy stars. With NFL Sunday Ticket, new

Speaker 4 (22:16):
We are not done with our game previews.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
The Chiefs looking for their first win of the season,
they go to take on the Giants in the Big Apple.
Patrick Mahomes hoping to paint the town red. Russ try
to stay hot. We'll give you that preview coming up next.
Love may have to try to beat Cleveland without his
tight end Tucker Kraft, who suffered a knee injury during
(22:39):
Thursday's practice. Head coach Matt Lafleur was noncommittal on Craft
status for Sunday's games, so be sure to watch for
the inactives list before the contest.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Back to our game previews.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Might as well take a look at that Packers Brown's
game and uh, Rank going with a guy who I
feel it was underrated in drafts, but there's proven folks
wrong so far.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
No, he's been great.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
I'm gonna say it is start the running back Josh Jacobs,
and you're like, cool, Rank, I was gonna do it anyway.
The guy has scored touchdowns in eleven consecutive games, the
longest active Street one off the NFL record, and that's cool, Like,
you're not gonna You're not gonna ben him. I get that,
but this matchup against the Cleveland Browns is actually very
difficult because when you look at what the Browns have
been able to do and stopping approsing running backs like
(23:21):
Derrick Henry last week, every remember like I was sitting there,
I pulled up to the valet at rip. My boy
Travis was like, Derrick Henry's killing me. I'm like, no, no, no,
the Cleveland Browns are killing you because they are great
against running backs.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
However, I'm still starting. There's no way that I.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
Would sit Josh Jacobs though, so I'm just I'm just
telling you to do something that you were going to
do anyways.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Yeah, I don't know if a lot of people were
going to attack this Packers defense. But if you do,
the one position you could do so with is the
tight end. The Packers have allowed the fifth most yards
two tight ends so far this season. And the thing
I love about Harold Fan and Junior, He's getting snaps
as a running back, as a slot receiver out wide
as a tight end.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
The Browns aren't using another wide.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Receiver third wide receiver consistently. I think Harold S Bannon
Junior is a second tight end, a third wide receiver,
and a fullback all kind of in one. He is
a true joker, and this joker just wants to give
you a better class of tight ends.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Definitely a good start to the season for Fan and
for sure. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs in.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Uncharted territory, the Patrick Mahomes Era, they are zero and two.
They go to the Meadowlands to take on the New
York Giants, and I am telling you you need to
be starting Hollywood Brown this week. He has been the
target leader by far in Kansas City, twenty one targets
this season. Next closest players Travis Kelce with ten. The
Giants last week got cooked from the slot, which is
(24:48):
where Brown is doing a lot of his work from
Cowboys went for one hundred and forty six yards in
a touchdown from the slot against Big Blue last week.
I know there's some talk there's a chance that Xavier
Worthy could be back this week, and certainly that's a
welcome addition for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. But
even with Worthy there, I think Brown's still going to
get a lot of attention. I think he's in line
for a very big game against the Giants this week.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Yeah, this is a must win for the Chiefs with
the Ravens on deck after this one, and if there's
a little urgency on that side, it could lead to
more points. There's gonna be a lot of urgency on
the Giants side, and if they're chasing points, that is
only a good thing for Wandel Robinson Junior, who has
at least eight targets in each game. Before the season,
the Giants were talking about using him a little differently
this year. Well, they actually started throwing him the ball downfield,
(25:32):
which is completely different from anything we've ever seen with
Wandell Robinson, and he leads the NFL in yards from
the slot Right now, only the Jets have allowed more
yards to slot receivers than the Chiefs. So I think
you picked up Wandell in a lot of leagues this week.
I'm starting him in a number of myself.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
This week, Kyler and the Cardinals heading up to the
Bay Area to take on the forty nine ers of Florida.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
What are you watching in this one?
Speaker 3 (25:54):
I love Kyler because he's my size and he's doing
what he's doing. I think, though, in this one, you
could beware of Marvin Harrison Junior because he's averaging just
five and a half targets per game. I don't know
why they don't throw the ball to him more, but
they haven't been. And this is an issue going back
to last season when he had nine games with six
or fewer targets.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
So the ball just isn't going his.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Way enough and fewer than sixty five yards in each
game against his forty nine ers defense last year.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
He's been a top ten wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Just twice in his nineteen career game, so if he
doesn't get you a touchdown, you could be looking at
a low floor, which.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Means he's not a must sit. But if you have options,
you could get.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Away tough scene for the best shape of his life.
Crowd before he got swallow this offseason, Michael Pittman had
big arms. He was fine.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Yeah, sure, moving on Saints and Seahawks up in the
Pacific Northwest. Rumors of Kenneth Walker's demise were greatly exaggerated.
I'm probably the leading colt.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
You might be that person. You know what.
Speaker 5 (26:48):
My kids love to grab my phone and they'll watch
roller coasters and so like. For whatever reason, I'm now
in the algorithm to get like ghost Rider and hang
time from Knotsberry Farm. That's what it feels like going
with the Seattle Seahawks backfield this season.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Kyler and the Cardinals heading up to northern California to
take on to San Francisco forty nine ers in Florida.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
What are you paying attention to?
Speaker 4 (27:07):
First?
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Shout out to Kyler Murray representing US short kings everywhere.
I think you could beware of Marvin Harrison Junior in
this one because when they drafted him fourth overall, everyone
was like, they're gonna throw in the ball plenty right wrong.
Five and a half targets per game so far this season,
six targets or fewer in nine of his games last season.
So the reliable volume that we thought would be there
(27:29):
just hasn't been. And last season he was held to
fewer than sixty five yards in each game against his
forty nine ers defense. And he's been a top ten
wide receiver in just two of.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
His nineteen career games.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
So if he doesn't get a touchdown, you could be
looking at a low floor, which is why he is
not a musset.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
But if you have options, I would look to get.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Away, staying with the team in the NFC West, the
Seahawks hosting the Saints up there in the Pacific Northwest.
And if Kenneth Walker knew, I'm sure he would be
giving me the metaphorical middle finger for trying to out
of his job there in Seattle.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
You know what it's like that Katie Perry video.
Speaker 5 (28:04):
You're either you're hot and you're cold, you're in and
you're out, and you fight, you break up, you kiss,
you make up. But here's the thing, We're getting Kenneth
Walker back into our lineups this week. I know a
lot of people panicked in the early part of this
season because they're like, well, who it's Zach Charbonay. Well,
now it's Kenneth Walker. Now how about this this week?
Speaker 1 (28:21):
It could be both. Kenneth Walker has been very effective.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
The Saints have given up a lot of production to
opposing running backs of season, especially as receivers out of
the backfield. In both games this season, they've allowed a
receiving touchdown to a running back. And before you completely
give up on Zach Charboney, let me just point out
he did get fifteen.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Rushing attempts last week.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
He wasn't good at it, but still he's going up
against the Saints.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
It's a different week.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
And you know what, and if you bust this segment again,
I'll come up with another analogy.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Just keep going, just keep trying.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Me por Caano Los nose. The twenty twenty five Seahawks
running back situation. NFC South matchup with the Atlanta Falcons
and the Carolina Panthers, and a lot of things you
can talk about with the Falcons, but this week I'm
telling you you should start the Atlanta Falcons defense, which
is not a thing I thought I would have said
before the season started. But see, here's the thing. The
Carolina offense through two weeks has been un good. They're
(29:12):
twenty ninth in scoring offense. They have are tied for
the most giveaways heading into Thursday Night football. Both Jacksonville
and Arizona scored eleven plus fantasy points on the defensive
side against Carolina in the first two weeks.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
And to make matters worse.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
I guess if you're a Carolina fan, the Falcons seem
to have found a pass rush. They're getting a lot
of pressure on the quarterbacks, and they're still available and
a pretty high number of NFL dot Com league So
if you are looking to stream a defense, take a look.
Falcons might still be out there on the waiver wire
for you. Meanwhile, we got the Bengals and the Vikings,
a pair of backup quarterbacks going in this one.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Florida, what are you keeping an eye on?
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Look? If I told you that TJ.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Howkinson had four catches for thirty two yards last week, you'd.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Be like, not the best game, but better days.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
No, no, no, that's what he's done on the year as
a whole. The volume is just not going his way,
and when you dive into the numbers, it's like, oh, well,
he's a really low passer rating when targeted, his catch
rate is well below expected, so you can kind of
understand why. Plus, the Bengals have been really tough against
tight ends this year, So if you're playing TJ Hawkinson
(30:17):
this week, you are hoping that Carson Wentz can inject
life back into.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
Him, and that is not the way I want to
live Ideally in week three, if I can.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Avoid doing so, that making me feel great because I
have a team where I have to live this way
in week three with TJ Hawkinson game.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Let's get a.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Little bit deeper though on this Bengals Vikings game and
help us out with that. We've got our next gen
nugget with our own researcher, next Gen ten.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
You've been diving into this matchup a little bit. What
have you come up with?
Speaker 6 (30:44):
Yeah, I want to spotlight Jordan Mason this week, and
the quick answer is we expect them to lean on
the run a little bit more with backup quarterback Carson
Wentz starting and then Aaron Jones being placed on IR.
But yeah, like you said, diving deeper, it's a really
great matchup for him. Specifically, Mason's super power is his
ability to fight through contact with his downhill running style,
and he is. He has the highest mistackle force rate
(31:07):
among running backs since the start of last season. The Bengals,
on the other end, they've allowed the fifth most yards
after contact per rush to running backs. And just to
add another layer, a lot of that yards after contact
by the Bengals has actually been by way of outside runs,
which the Vikings have the sixth highest rate of this season.
So bottom line here, if you have Jordan Mason on
(31:28):
your roster, you gotta find a way to get him
into your starting lineup this week.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
I like confirmation bias, and this is just confirmed my
bold prediction that he's going to be the right one.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
Kalis said the word bell cow like I I'm listening
to the coach.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
All done, it's all done. Just just mark it down,
mark it down. I appreciate it, can appreciate the work
on that one. Hey, Rank, it's the first time this
year we get to do plug and play, plug and play,
plug and play.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
We're done. That's it.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
We put out the call on our NFL fantasy on
the Twitter x platform and you guys responded, and so
we picked one fortunate or maybe unfortunate person we're going
to set their lineup. So lego sneaker right now, right now,
we're gonna look at this. There's not a registertain nurse.
Perhaps perhaps we appreciate your help in the medical field.
If that's the case, what are you looking at THEO
(32:19):
with this one?
Speaker 5 (32:19):
Well, you know it's fun because, uh, cam Skataboo is
sitting there on your bench, just like a little present
you've been waiting to use. A lot of people are
talking about cam Scataboo this season, and it's been fun.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
There are instances where I am starting Cam Skataboo.
Speaker 5 (32:33):
My running back room is so dereft of talent that
Cam Skataboo's got to be our guy, hoping that he's
gonna break out. Was it against that Cowboys defense or
was it something that was actually legit. Here's the problem though,
when I look at this roster, When I look at
this roster, I look at some of the players. You've
got Jalen Warren going in there. You've got Josh Jacobs.
(32:55):
We talked about Josh Jacobs matchup against the Browns earlier.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
I'm still going with him and I loved it.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
You're not gonna get me to say a bad word
about David Montgomery. I think in this instance, I'm sticking
with your lineup. I know you want to get him in,
I know you want to play him, but still you
gotta you gotta stick with what you got working right now,
because that's a good lineup.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
Very good lineup.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
There is one thing though, that jumped out at me. Look,
I know I thought I thought Mark Andrews is gonna
have a bounce back season this year. It hasn't worked out.
I think you gotta sit him even in extreme situations.
Maybe maybe you consider it. But because here's the thing.
What I like that you did is that you went
out and you were proactive.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
We're gonna go purple.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
You went out, you got Isaiah likely because he's gonna
be back very very soon. Maybe not this week though,
So what are you gonna do for this week is
you're gonna go to the waiver wire. You're gonna look
for some tight end options. Maybe Harold Fannon Junior is
out there, maybe Jake Ferguson is out there. I think
if you're really in a pitch, Kaitott and chick A Conko,
these are guys that right now are getting more love
in their respective offenses than Mark Andrews. It just doesn't
(33:56):
seem like it's happening with these a Flowers explosion with
Isaiah likely coming back. Mark Andrews after two weeks is
got you kind of got gone from.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
You don't need Jordan Lava on your roster. He's a
fine player, he's really good. He saw Kurt Warner sitting
down with him talking about age twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
All these Packer quarterbacks win super Bowls. That's great.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
His fantasy production is not there, and you got Patrick Mahomes.
Don't do this to yourself. We have this decision each
and every week. So if you want to go pick
up another tight end, I would keep both of the
Ravens and I would drop Jordan Love and go get
one of those aforementioned tight end players like Harold Fanning
Junior if he's still available in your league, or Dalton Kincaid.
I've seen a lot of Dalton Kinkaid availability. We talked
about him at the top of the show, so look
(34:33):
for him as well.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
All right, Lego Sneaker RN, good luck to you this week.
For the rest of you, If you guys have lineup questions,
you can hit us up on social media. At NFL
Fantasy Time. Now for a brand news segment we are
calling go with the Flow or our.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Own zen Master.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Michael left Florio has his chokers aligned talking about some
guys who had surprise hotthands in fantasy over the first
couple weeks of the season. You see Daniel Indiana Jones.
I guess that's what we're calling him now, Javonte Williams,
Dune and Juwan Johnson. So Florio please bring us some enlightenment.
Who are you gonna go with the flow with? In
week three?
Speaker 3 (35:07):
Inside each of you is a stillness and if you
could clear your mind enough, you will here start Javonte Williams.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
He has played seventy seven percent of these snaps this season.
He is seeing the majority of carries, he's getting all
the passing down work. In fact, he has been a
top five fantasy running back each week so far. And
the Bears, well, they struggle against the run. They have
allowed the third most rushing yards to backs so far
(35:39):
this season.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
So if you want to calm your mind and ease.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Your fantasy stress, just put Javonte Williams in your starting
lineup this week.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Anybody else that you are you know Whiting knog Champa
with this week.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
If you have any thoughts of benching Roma Doonzay, I
want you to acknowledge them and then throw them away.
We don't want that negative thought here. He is the
new wide receiver one for the Bears. He has nearly
double the amount of targets of anyone else on this team.
(36:17):
He has all of the end zone targets. He's their
first read.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
And the Cowboys they have allowed the.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
Most yards and third most touchdowns two wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
So remember the answers. They are inside of you all along.
All you have to do is go with the flow.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Back on Fantasy Live and the NFL International Games return

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Subscription required for NFL Plus.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Because at plus dot com Plus do NFL dot com
four terms. Now for a little bit of any news update,
this via our own Tom Pella Sero. Giants running back
Tyrone Tracy Junior and wide receiver Darius Slayton are off
the injury report and good to go for Sunday night
versus the Chiefs left tackle Andrew Thomas is officially questionable.
(37:15):
That would seem ranked to sort of back up your
idea about Kim Scataboo maybe hanging on.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Sure, it's not for the instances where I have to
start him.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
It is great, but for the registered nurse that we
just set the lineup for good news there.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
It is a type of power to the people. We
got some of your questions via social media. We'll try
to answer some of those. Should I start elec Iomaner
or Josh Downs Floria?
Speaker 1 (37:39):
What do you think about that one?
Speaker 3 (37:41):
I'll go with alec Iomanner there, he's been getting more
and more volume.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
Ty with Calvin Ridley. I believe in target rates, so yeah,
I'll take a shot on the kid.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
There all ranked, This one is for you Fannin or Fergie,
Harold Fannon Junior or Jake Ferguson this week.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
Oh gosh, you know what, I I really want to go.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
I thank you now. Harold fan and Jr.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Has just been too productive. You got you gotta go
with him. He's been targeted an awful lot like it's
hard to get. I think with the Cowboys pass catchers,
there's a wide variety of people who could be feasting
in that game, but I would rather go with Harold
Fannin Jr.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
All Right, so Fannon over fer Delicious.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
This week got offered Jamar Chase and George Pickens for
I'm mean, Dereck Henry and Courtland Sutton.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
Should I take it? I'm gonna say yes.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
And I know there's some concern about Jamar Chase with
no Joe Burrow, but he's still going to be an
absolute target monster. Even with Jake Browning there. He's still
to me is the best overall player in the deal.
So yeah, it does feel like you're giving up a
lot with Derek Henry. I still I think I would
say yes to that offer there. Back to you, Florio,
who would you start? Nick Chubb or Omari and Hampton?
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Omaron Hampton easily for me.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
I know Chubb scored that touchdown the other day, but
I still believe in Hampton. He's getting a lot of
the work there. And the Chargers run defense looks a
lot better than I think we envision coming in, so
maybe that has.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
Something to do with it. But yeah, I think Hampton.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
This is a good game for him, all right, one
last one, this one for you or start to Mike Evans,
Michael Pittman, DK Metcalf, Quintin Johnston.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Yes, it's a smaller league.
Speaker 5 (39:13):
I'm gonna go with Mike Evans and Michael Piman.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Before we get out of here. Time for Monday's Fantasy
headline where we let you know the future. Florio, what
is your what is the headline going to be on
Monday morning?
Speaker 3 (39:27):
To Infinity and Bijon Because Bijon could go for infinite
yards in this matchup, however many he wants.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
Extra xtrade news out of Chicago.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
CD's Fantasy points.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
Both the Cowboys and the Bears are gonna be scoring
a ton of fantasy points Ceedee Lamb scoring the most
of them in.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
A losing cause for the Cowboys. I say, it's always
Sonny in Philadelphia.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
But Jalen Hurts is going to be not so brotherly
to the Los Angeles Rams. The Ram struggle with running quarterbacks,
Jalen Hurts gets out of the pocket. Plus I think
he actually gets his wide receivers involved as well. So
big game for Jalen Hurts coming up.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
That'll do one for us this week.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Back with you on Monday to recap everything that happened
from Week three Sunday in the NFL for Florial, for
Rank on Marcus, enjoy the weekend. We'll see you on Monday. Everybody,
