We have made it to week 13. We start with the game of the week 49ers vs the Eagles. They faced off last year in the NFC Championship and once again these teams are number 1 and 2 in the NFC standings. The Eagles are coming off an OT thriller against Buffalo last week and the 49ers are coming into this game with full health. Will discuss who has the edge in week 13's, Game of The Week.

We move on to CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans hosting the Denver Broncos. Both teams come in to this match up at 6-5. Both also vying for playoff spot. The Broncos enter this match up a bit more rounded on the offensive and defensive side but Cynthia will explain why she is picking the Texans in an upset.

In our Pizza Pizza Pregame Predictions brought to you by Little Caesars we take a look at the Chiefs vs the Packers. Is this the week that the Packers make their push for possible wild card bid? Or will Patrick Mahomes and their offensive line be the difference…

Around the corner at Sofi Stadium we have the Rams taking on Joe Flacco and the Browns. Both teams are in playoff contention and does Joe Flacco still have anything left in the tank or will the rejuvenated Rams run game be too much for one of the NFL’s top defenses.

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals are heading up to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. It looks like the Steelers once again are going to sneak by with another win. Can Kyler Murray and the Cardinals do anything to spoil Pittsburgh’s chances.

Those games and the rest of the NFL Week 13 schedule on NFL GameDay View.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Everybody, Welcome to game debut preserved by Mercedes Benz, Patrick Clayburn.
Glad to be here with Greg Rosenthal and Cynthia Freeland as.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
We are in week thirteen. We've made it, guys, lucky.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
We've got so much more to go. We haven't made anything.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
We've made it here at this point, we're all together.
We're here. Let's check out the.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Standings through week twelve, and yes, a crown does remain
upon the head of one Greg Rosenthal, who leads us
collectively by two.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Though Greg, it's getting a little tight, are.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
You by one? By one? To you? I see you, Patrick.
I've been so focused on the model. Here Patrick's making
these crazy picks and here he snuck up into second.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
Oh yeah, I love it.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Maybe the score board start.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
It's how we finished. We got to figure it out.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
The picks might not be crazy. The forty nine Ers
Eagles Game of the Week. In case you forgot, these
teams played last season in the Inner Championship Game.

Speaker 6 (01:07):
Two best teams in the NFC are a mountain to colloide.
Here at the Lant forty nine Ers and the Eagles
for the white to head the Super Bowl fifty seven.
The NFC Championship is home.

Speaker 7 (01:19):
So much Heckingen baking on Thomas. O'm a little lady
the fal he light the moon said, they light them up.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Rock Perty has been take getting out of the game.

Speaker 6 (01:28):
You have to play the title game without a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
We had him, We had him.

Speaker 8 (01:33):
He's the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFC Championship, but they
are heading the Super Bowl fifty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Time from the Drive to Excellence presented by Mercedes Fins.
Forty nine Ers Eagles at the link top two teams
in the NFC. Brock Perty has a functional elbow going
into the game that Eagles underdogs despite being at home
and being ten one with the best record in the league.
These teams do not like each other back and forth
on social media.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
What do you see, Greg?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
I see a team in the forty nine ers that
has a lot of extra rest. Rest is important, isn't
it like if you get a good night's sleep the
night before? I have a better game day view. The
forty nine Ers have four extra days, while the Eagles
last Sunday and their defensive players were on the field
longer than they've ever been on the field. I think

(02:31):
this matters. Ninety eight snaps for their defensive back last week,
more than thirty more than the forty nine ers had
on their Thursday night game. Josh Sweaton career high in
snaps over eighty last week. Hassan Redick seventy five steps,
fifteen more than any time with the Eagles. These are
all like exponentially more than any other game they played.
The same is true for Jordan Davis. Meanwhile, look at

(02:53):
the forty nine ers. This is all they were dead
last week. They were celebrating. That was the most energy
they spent against Seattle was thirty snaps. Forty snaps. The
defensive line was chilling in a game where I think
the two teams are very even. I really do believe
the schedule in terms of the Eagles coming off to
very difficult games, especially one that went to overtime. The
extra rest for the forty nine Ers, that's enough for

(03:15):
me to pick them in this game.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
I too have the forty nine Ers, but I have
a much closer margin, just two points twenty five to
twenty three for me. Eagles do have luck on their side,
but brock Purty and his good elbow. The play action
passing should be good, especially on intermediate routes to Deebo Samuel.
There seems to be a Deebo Samuel size hole in
the middle back of that secondary. Now, when I'm looking

(03:38):
at the play action situation for brock Purty, seventy seven
point one percent completion of percentage in eight touchdowns. Those
are either first or tied for first. And then look
at the defense. Just a forty seven point three success allowed.
So that's a high number, that's the ninth lowest. Like
they're gonna have a good chance here to just see
that debo end zone. Uh, there we go.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Well, he called James Bradbury trash, so he's gonna be
extra fire.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
There's a lot of there's a lot of back and
forth both ways.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
There, and I think we can, especially the way that
I feel we can get rid of all that.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
These are two very good teams.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yes, I think they're both going to try hard breaking
news there. I will take the ten to one team
that is playing at home in the Philadelphia Eagles, and
let's look back to that revenge game for the San
Francisco forty nine ers. Yes, of course, it helps to
have a quarterback that can throw the ball past ten yards.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
But the Eagles ran the ball forty.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Eight times in that game. Yes, it got out of
hand late and that changes the script. But I believe
the addition of DeAndre Swift makes this run game better
than when they went to the Super Bowl a year ago.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
The forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Don't necessarily constantly face teams that are capable of running
the ball against them. This Eagles team can, and that's
why I'm comfortable picking the Eagles by a point twenty
five to twenty four.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
I'm glad that we aren't all the same on this one,
because this one just feels like it should have some
level of us disagreeing. If we would have been comp
mem alert across, I mean, it'd be good for our
standings because then we either kind of winner died together.
But I don't know. I think it's more fair.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
More even better though. If Patrick's wrong and we're well right,
that's how we get.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
But again, look at the scores. Always look at the scores.
It's not like we think like, oh, this team's bad.
Let's move on to c. J. Stroud and the Texans
who just came up short last week against the Jags
with a rookie quarterback has been mussy TV all season long.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
The Houston Texans select c J.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Stroud, pure natural thrower, bring a leader, I'll bring lead.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Firing gap yet to his right, tack down to the house.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
C J.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Stroud with more magic. CJ looking throwing to the end zone.
Talk touch down for you, kiddy track six.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Here's in for the touchdown and he has three interceptions.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
In this game.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Steph Curry, don't ever stop shooting.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
What a throw Die Stroud.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I'm gonna shame my game.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I'm queen Land around the rookie phenom and the Texans
playing host of the Broncos, both at six and five,
both fighting for a playoff spot.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Denver has won five straight. Do they get to six? Great?

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I can't believe I'm picking the Broncos to win six straight.
But I am twenty seven to twenty three. And it's
because of their defense. And I look at CJ. Stroud,
they asked him to do so much, whereas Russell Wilson
has a better defense on his side. This defense has
for seventeen turnovers since Week six. Since that week when
they turned it round on Thursday, Night Football. They are

(06:31):
seventh in the league in EPA per play allowed, and
it's a lot of the pass rush. I feel like
these guys don't get a lot of pop. But Jonathan
Cooper has been playing well. Nick Benito has been playing well.
Zach Allen was a nice freeze.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
Say Brandon Browning, that's like the best one.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
It was fourth on my list. Frowning. I just love
him and I look at him against this Texans offensive
un and they're good. But I think it's a team game,
and I think the Texans are like more about one
guy in their passing game, whereas the Broncos they're a
better team.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I'm glad we could.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
We could get you on board on this Denver Broncos
defense that hasn't allowed a receiver to have more than
seventy five yards since Week five. And yes, the index
on pass defense it's working. But I am taking the
Broncos because of Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Let's side everybody.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
He has the most game winning drives and fourth quarter
comebacks in the entire league, as well as the best
touchdown interception ratio. He is playing safe, but it's very effective.
Like look at these touchdown passes that he's throwing where
only the receiver could get. He had this one which
was just incredible on both his and Courtland Sutton's parts,

(07:42):
But then the one last week over on.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
The other sideline.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
It's just been very good and I just want to
celebrate Russ considering all of the heat that he was
taking last year.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
He's playing great football.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Well, I guess I get a prime number here, and
I get a prime number on the team that's favored.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Okay, we'll by three and a half to whatever. I'll
take it.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
I have a three point win for the Houston Texans
twenty four to twenty one in this matchup. I'm really
you talk about the Broncos defense causing turnovers, how do
you not turn over the run the football? And you
know you've seen over the past few weeks you've seen
Devin Singletary really take this huge step forward. Obviously, when
Pierce was injured, that's when he got his time to shine,

(08:22):
and he really hasn't relinquished it now that they're both there.
When I'm looking at the opportunity, even taking out that
seventy burger that Miami put out on top of them,
your yard's over expected on runs allowed by the defense,
even with all those good players, even with every when
we were just remember that's it's like forty percent. So
that's a high number, one of the highest in the league.

(08:42):
So I think they're run game.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
I mean bad run that's how Yeah, excellent, haven't been
able to run against just about anybody's.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
It's one of those things. It's it's moving forward.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
People are still like they talk a little trash there, Greg.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Greg, Greg's getting little itchy.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
People expect points this one. This one has one of
the highest over unders of the week. Looking at the rest,
people are expecting boatloads of points, but not quite fifty.
Between the Miami Dolphins and the Commanders. There's the game
we just discussed, the Lions and the Saints, and then
the championship game rematch. But let's focus on the Lions
and Saints. Expected to be high scoring game as this tradition.

(09:18):
Cynthia's hometown Lions kinda didn't have the success that she
wanted on Thanksgiving, losing to the Packers.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Will they bounce back? Cynthia?

Speaker 5 (09:26):
This gaid, what that actually says that you wrote that
You didn't say lost got waxed.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
I didn't want to say that, but it's true, and.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Why because the pass defense looked not so good, as
in terrible. When I'm looking at the opportunity in this game,
it's going to be different. I'll tell you why in
a second, But I do want to point out my
Lions are really letting me down over the past four weeks.
Their pass defense has been pretty abysmal. So it's their
run defense. Let's just put it that way. They're like
twenty eight in the league on defense, and Jordan Love

(09:57):
was out here looking like the third coming of a
great Packers all MVP in a row, which would just
be sickening for everyone else in the NFC North. But
I do have the Lions winning in this game twenty six.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
To twenty negativity for a Lions win here.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
I call it like I see it in that defense
is needs a little help, needs a little help.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
You know.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Their defense struggling is one reason why, Like I'm gonna
give you a free write this out. I maybe should
save it for later, but the points in this game
are gonna be much higher than forty six and a half.
I got the Lions winning thirty one to twenty seven.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's thirty eight to thirty
something like that. The only reason it'll be a little lower,
And why have the Lions winning and buy more than
four and a half is because the Saints kick a

(10:41):
lot of field goals. Derek Carr has been struggling in
the red zone now for a few years. Really throughout
his career, it hasn't been a strength of his but
this year and last specifically, if you look at his
throws inside the ten yard line, he is under thirty
percent completion. There is no other qualifier, you know, with
more than twenty attempts within ten or fifteen percent of him.

(11:02):
The next closest quarter back in terms of low completion
percentage is Matt Ryan, who may be calling this game.
I don't even know what's going on this this Lion's defense.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
I think it's NFC. So it's Fox.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
They're gonna they're gonna bounce yeah it well, yeah they're
gonna bounce back. And I know, uh, Patrick, you don't
like to say, Okay, we know the Lions are gonna
try harder here, but do you believe in vibes? Because
the Lions vibes coming off a loss, needing the win,
they're just gonna be so much better than these Saints
vibes where the booze are there. Well, things aren't great.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Well, Yeah, both teams coming off of losses.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
With the Vibes and New Orleans, we've charted them as
the seasons has gone on and on motivation factor. I
do wish we had the CJGJ revenge game, but we don't.
He did posts perhaps a comeback date December twentieth this week.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
So you'll love to hear it.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, the Lions need help on defense.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
I don't think they need it this week because the
Lions could put too much speed on the field for
a Saints team that, of course plays a lot of
nickels twenty twenty three airbys in the nickel a whole bunch.
But they're one of those teams that might not prefer
to They're in four to three about twenty percent of
the time. They don't have a linebacker. Nobody does that
could run with Jamir Gibbs. The safeties are gonna have
issues with Gibbs and coverage as well. Considering New Orleans

(12:11):
is number thirty against runs from the shotgun, I think
this might get bad. I have Detroit winning thirty four
to twenty one coming up, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs
going to Lambo for a huge Sunday Night game. Is
anyone bold enough to take.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
The Packers here? One person is Wowo.

Speaker 7 (12:30):
We'll tell you who's right there next on game debut, It's.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Time for pizza.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Pizza pregame predictions delivered by Little Caesars, Chiefs, Packers and Sunday.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Night and Lambo. You might want to hot and ready
warm up for that one.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Kansas City currently the two seed in the AFC, the
Packers fighting for a wildcard spot. Do they fight and
get closer to the wild card something?

Speaker 5 (13:01):
No? Well, I mean they get closer.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
It's definitely plausible for them to make it. But this
isn't the week where that scale really tips in their favor.
I have the Chiefs pinning this one twenty five to twenty,
maybe a little bit closer than expected. But I want
to show you something about these Rashi Rice crossing routes
from last week. They're simple, that's it, Yes, right, They're
not doing anything crazy. They're not trying to ask him
to go so so deep that you're really airing it

(13:27):
out where Patrick Mahomes is rifling it to you at
sixty something miles per hour. We saw that from another
quarterback didn't go as well. Right, So when you're trying
to get things back into a rhythm, intermediate crossing routes
really a good plan for them, and it worked, especially
when you look at this Packers' injury report. I don't
know if jyr Alexander will play. He's still on it
as a Friday. There's also a litany of other guys
that are missing, and by the way, Rasul Douglas he's

(13:49):
now a bill, So they're missing pieces in the secondary.
And while the front is really good, I still think
Patrick Mahomes and that O line has an advantage.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Yeah, we have a lot of similarities this week, and
one is that the Chiefs will win this game, but
not by six points. I only have it as one point.
Who I feel stronger that the Packers keep it close
than I do either way winning. But I just didn't
have the guts to do it. Maybe I should because
Jordan Loves is playing out shat.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
No, I'm not going to witch it.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
I'm not taking this big underdog. Jordan Love's eyes are amazing.
It's one of the things you want to look for
in a young quarterback. I don't mean like you're looking
into his eyes and they're like soulful and green or
anything like that. I mean you can tell he's looking
at the right receivers at the right times and going
through his progression and it's pretty quick. And that's one
of the things that you look before because you see

(14:36):
throws like this and you know he can do the
extra stuff. He's got the big time throws. He's got
the eyes that shows me he's gonna have a long
career in big games like this. I can't wait for it.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, I can't wait to watch Jordan Love playing in
a big game. Can't wait for you guys to pick him.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I will pick him right here against the Kansas jef.
It's a one point win for me. We're barking twenty
five to twenty four the.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Home team because they are playing at home that it's
gonna be juiced up. And I know it's like, well
does that matter? Maybe maybe it does, but the team
itself is playing well. I hope Jayden Reid questionable coming
into this game. I hope he's able to play. But
the past five weeks, Jordan Love has no touch excuse
me the past couple of weeks, five touchdowns, no picks

(15:19):
for Jordan Love and Read.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
In terms of these rookie receivers.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
We talk about Tank Dell, we could talk about Zay Flowers.
Jade Reid is one of the rookie receivers who's leading
his team in receiving yards.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
He's playing spectacularly. I've got the packers.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Are you sure you don't want to switch it so
I can myself again over?

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah, the full right route tree. Maybe maybe that's why
a certain Raiders corner was no longer on the team
after all those crossing rounds.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Moving on.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I don't know, but Sean McVay has the Rams in
playoff contention.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
Play fake boot left, Stafford clips's hips fires still fly
cat it take me. He goes in for his first
touchdown season.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
It's a snap back to throw, slide the pocket slings
one back of the end zone.

Speaker 7 (16:09):
It's hippy again.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
It's a screen left kickout block.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Kiren has it fifteen ten.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
Five, linking into the end zone and touched back to throw.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
Stafford lobs it left side end zone, touch touchdown. Karen
Williams touchdown Alaye.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
After scoring a jillion points against the Cardinals. The Rams
playhost of the Browns at SOFI Stadium right over there,
both games alive and the race for the playoffs DTR
is out.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
We're gonna get Joe Flacco. How do you feel about
this matchup?

Speaker 4 (16:42):
I mean, I love personally having Joe Flacco back in
my life, and I like the Browns to keep it close.
But I like the Rams to win it in part
because they've totally transformed their run game under Sean McVay.
Think about what they're doing this year in the run game,
it's all about duo. I'm not the the film guy,

(17:02):
but duo's pretty obvious what it means. It means two
guys on one. It's power running. It's using your tight
ends and sometimes these wide receivers to get a double
team and run the ball downhill. And that's the opposite
of what Sean McVay used to do with his zone
blocking scheme. And it's really working against these lightweight defenses,
kind of like the Browns, who are incredible, but you

(17:24):
don't really want to throw the ball against them. You'd
rather run the ball against them. And I think that's
what the Rams will do in a fun game.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
It's like an inverse Todd Gurley right, with all those
screen passes, and now they've completely changed it to power.
I too have the Rams winning this one. I have
a little bit bigger margin than you, though. I have
twenty four to nineteen, so a five point win. I
will say that one of the ways that we will
see the Browns attack this defense is to run the football.
Why because if you look at where the Rams rank

(17:52):
in terms of EPA allowed on the ground, it's twenty eighth.
That's an area to exploit, especially since Jerome Ford has
more than two hundred yards after contact over his past
four games. So if they're gonna upset the Rams, or
if they're gonna buck the trend of what you and
I are both saying, it will probably be because they
get the run game down really well.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Maybe get Joe Flacco out there on the edge with.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
I don't need to Can you imagine Joe Flacco, We
get like a next gen stats.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Of how I mean, you guys have both picked the
Rams here, But I have some information coming in. It's
from Brown's receiver of Marik Coople regarding one Joe Flacco
that may change these folks minds.

Speaker 9 (18:33):
He looks good he throws a very pretty ball. You know,
I don't know if his intentional or what, but when
he drops it back and he lets it go the
whole motion, it's like, it's like poetry emotion.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
It looks good, it's like poetry emotion.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
I mean, he's not wrong. First of all, great hair,
Joe Flacco, and I think back to the Super Bowl.
I don't know why I'm talking right now, have super
Bowl performance against the forty nine er. I've never seen
a ball move through the air like prettier. Well then
he then Joe Flaco.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Threw it on that night to look poetry emotion. A
super Bowl champion. I believe in Joe Flacco that he exists. Yeah,
and taking the rams as well. Twenty three eighteen meme away,
you know, despite how beautiful the ball flies.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
Through the air, poetry in motion, but not a win.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah, it's a lot to ask and Joe Flacker to
come back and get this win. Coming up, Aaron Rodgers
is back. Kind of the Jets need to stay in
the playoff race for Rogers to return. Can they pull
off a win Sunday against the Falcons?

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Are picks for that game?

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Next on game debut.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Believe it or not, we might actually see Aaron Rodgers
back on the field, the field at least the season.
The Jets quarterback was clear to Wednesday to return to
practice eleven weeks after tearing his achilles gang green, opening
that twenty one day window to be activated off injured reserve.
He did say this week, as the Jets play the Falcons,
the only way he were turns is if the team

(20:06):
is in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Do the Jets give him hope this week?

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Greg, no hope for Jets fans. That's what happened in December.
It's been like that ever since Robert Sala showed up.
The Falcons are gonna win this game. I have it
as twenty to twelve four field goals for the Jets.
But it's the Falcons offense that got me feeling a
certain way last week. Maybe we can have a fun
NFC South team this season, because when I saw how

(20:31):
their outside zone was working, I thought, wow, this reminds
me of the twenty twenty two Falcons. They were all cohesive,
Kleb McGarry, Chris Linstermann up front, big hole. Well, you're right,
they all looked great, And maybe I thought Arthur Smith
got back in the lab during their bye week and
they tightened the bolts and they fixed what had been
going wrong all year, which is they've just been a

(20:53):
terrible run blocking team. Because if they can do that,
they can at least be the best team in the
NFC South and they can beat a bad Jets team.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
And they were able to get that win over the
Saints with just thirteen completions from Desmond Rider.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
But he did make some plays last week.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
He had the interception, there was another slip up to
the honey Badger, but he had the ball that was
ripped down the field to Drake London right there. Great catch.
He lofted that touchdown to Bejon Robinson. I think there's
there's some spots.

Speaker 7 (21:19):
Well, it wasn't that touchule.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
This is the one where that's pretty to.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Be John Robinson. He struggled this year when he's trying
to do too much. I think a reserved and a restrain.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Des beats the Jets this week, must score nineteen to thirteen.

Speaker 5 (21:33):
Well, the model made me feel a little something this
week because I picked the Jets nineteen eight.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Shout out to the model.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
And sometimes I question myself in my own sanity, and
this thing has become sentient. But I don't know what's
going on. Look, the reality is is when I'm looking
at the opportunity in this matchup, Aaron Rodgers being back
signifies one thing that they're not giving up yet. And
when I look at the opportunities for bres Hall, for
the guys that are going to catch some passes. Do

(22:01):
I believe that Tim Boyle is a great quarterback?

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Uh uh?

Speaker 5 (22:06):
But I do think that this Jets defense is awesome
and they do deserve some respect, and I think that
that's what the model is here. This year is a
defensive year. We've had so few games that are even
projected to be more than fifty points, Like ten times
have games been projected to be more than fifty points
this whole season. So I believe this is just a
lot of respect to the defense.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Or it's the football guy and it's sessing with the
model and saying no, you don't deserve to have the
Texans as a prime number here, or.

Speaker 5 (22:32):
We've reached the singularity and the model is now alive.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
The model's just in solidary, Greg and I stop for
quick picks presented by Zillo Panthers and Bucks Carolina fired
Frank reg Earlier this week, Chris Taber named interim coach
Who's winning this one?

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Greg?

Speaker 4 (22:46):
I like the Bucks, although I think the Panthers get that,
you know, fired coach principal bounce and keep it close.
But I want to talk about Mike Evans because this
guy is getting better with age. What a contract year
Mike Evans is having, and unlike most contract years, actually
think he could change teams. It would be a shame
to see after he racked up a thousand yard season.
After a thousand yard season for the Bucks, one of

(23:08):
my favorite streaks and sports. He could break a thousand
this week with one hundred and fifty yards, He's on
pace for more than thirteen hundred yards. It would be
his best season since twenty eighteen. Still getting it done.
Mike Evans. Love him?

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Yeah, shout out to Mike.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Bengals and Jags on Monday Night, Jags winning two in
a row, Cynthia. Any chance Jake Browning and the Bengals
can get the upset.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
There's always a chance. I just don't think that it's
gonna happen in this matchup. However, I do want to
point out that Cam Taylor brit who hasn't been playing
and isn't going to play in this when it doesn't
seem this guy has been excellent all season long. This
corner has taken a really big step forward. And in
honor of it being Big Ten championship kill and he
went to Nebraska, that's a Big Ten school, We're going

(23:50):
to talk about how he's taken a massive step forward
this season and he will come back next season and
be a part of a very improved situation for the
Bengals all around. But needed to get some Cam Taylor
Britt love in the show.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Yeah, feel better, Bengals fans. We'll show you all the
players missing every week for the rest of the season.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Well and you'll get good draft picks. Like this isn't
a bad thing if you're a Bengals fan.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Yeah, every cloud has a silver line.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
I think Kyler Murray and the Cardinals going to Pittsburgh
take on the Steelers. I've got Mike Tomins squad yet
again sneaking out a win in this one twenty one
to twenty and coming into last week, Pat Fryarmof had
a total a total of three targets within two yards
of the hashes.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
He had five alone last week.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
They've discovered the fact that the rest of the field
exists and that slight adjustment is enough to give me
the win for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
We're all in unison on all of.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
These quick picks AFC Playoff pictured with the Ravens on
a buy you want to talk to long jam. There's
perhaps a chance at the end of this week we
could have four teams at nine and three at the
top at the start of Week fourteen. As we get
to the look at some of those teams in the hunt,
let's talk about some of these fringe playoff teams and
what we think is actually going to happen. We start

(25:01):
with the six and five Texans, who sit just outside
a wild card spot right now. Cynthia, is Houston going
to make the playoffs?

Speaker 5 (25:08):
Yes, they are going to make the playoffs. If they
win this week against the Broncos, which I'm the only
one that thinks that they will, it'll go up to
seventy four percent their odds of making the playoffs, which
is a very high number when I'm looking. We talk
a lot about Tank Dell. You know that, but you
know who else we need to talk about a Michigan man,
Nico Collins. Again, he's actually his former team's actually playing

(25:28):
for the Big ten championship. Oh but Nicocollins if he
has one hundred and sixty nine receiving yards over expected,
which is number seven in the league, and he's number
four in yards after the catch over expected, which means
he's very good. And he's also adding to their whole team.
And it's not just Tank Dell. We love Tank Dell,
but we also love Nico Collins.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Okay, I don't know, you kind of spoiled it. I mean,
it's definitely a yes for me. We're at Texans friendly
show here and I am going to talk about Tankdell
because look this, this tandem, this trio, the tandem being
Nico Collins and Tank Tell, the trio adding CJ. Stroud
is as good as any young group in the league.
Texans fans can be celebrating because every week on this show,

(26:07):
I say, however good you think Tank Dell is, he's better.
He's actually better, and every week he just tops himself.
He very well might be the best rookie receiver in
the league. Over Jordan Addison, over Pooka nakua over everybody
over it's tanka, thank you?

Speaker 3 (26:25):
But why not? They're all good?

Speaker 5 (26:28):
Most certainly is yes.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
And I also think the Houston Texans are going to
be going to the playoffs because well, they are a
functional team with a good offense and a solid defense.
But you can't discard the fact that other people might
have to not make the playoffs, and the fact that
the Buffalo Bills had every opportunity, especially late, to knock
off the Eagles in that win and what could have

(26:49):
been the best game we've seen all season long. The
fact that they came up short, the road becomes a
little bit more difficult to them, and you're looking at
the remaining schedule and who the challengers are. I think
the fact that the Bills lose that game means the.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Doors don't rub salt in the wounds. This would have
been my best pick of the year, was the Bills.
That's the only reason you guys caught up? Was this disastrous? Well,
I mean, they're breaking my heart.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
All the games are Cumulus. Well, let's take a look
at the playoff picture in the NFC.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Over there, we do see those Eagles who play those
forty nine Ers at the top. But let's look at
that in the hunt graphic, because we have a mixture
of teams, including the Green Bay Packers, who are currently
just outside of the wild cards. They have won two
games in a row. Greg Rosenthal, do the Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Make it to the posts? Well?

Speaker 4 (27:36):
That this beautiful glove here says it's going down, But
the Packers' chance is going up, partly because it's not
just about Jordan Love and the offense. The defense is
getting after it lately, especially Rashawn Gary in the front.
Kenny Clark had a throwback game on Thanksgiving that was
nice to see because he hasn't quite been himself. But
Rashan Gary wins about as much as any defensive end

(28:00):
in the league not named Micah Parsons.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
You remember wear Arashan Gary went to school multi Yich again. Yes, okay,
I mean.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
He's the man and dire Alexander. I know he's on
the injury report. He's getting back this week, so they're
getting healthier, it sounds like in the secondary overall. And yeah,
this pass rush I think is going to be good
enough to help out the offense.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
I think it's going to be close, But I don't
have them making the playoffs. It's nothing personal. It's just
the fact that there's too many people on the injury report.
You don't have Aaron Jones. That's a problem. What's going
on in all of your writers?

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Jayden Reid on the on the injury report, sweet thought.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
I'm just saying every game matters from here on out.
This is a very important thing. With jay r Alexander
not playing the secondary, I've seen them get smoked. See that.
That's a'm on Ross Saint Brown. That was one highlight
of my Christmas or Christmas Thanksgiving, which is kind of
like Christmas if you're a Lions fan. But I'm looking
at the opportunity here and being able to pass on them.
That's going to be the heartbreaker for them.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
I am going to say that Jordan Love and the
Green Bay Packers will make the playoffs. And yes, I
say Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers because Jordan
Love has been playing.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Great as of late.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
These throws that he's making under pressure when he does
have time, he's dropping dimes.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
I'm sorry, Sin, they were sitting the touchdown by Christian
Watson against the lines of the fourth time. But it's
not just the MotorCity kidding.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Jordan Love is playing football right, Chargers, And as Greg
pointed out, when Jordan Love was missing these throws, he
was still making the right decisions. He was going in
the right places, and it's just now everything's linking up.
I think the Packers make it to the playoffs, but
let's talk about some bubble teams, not just that we
want to that we think will make the playoffs, but

(29:43):
we hope will make the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Who is your team?

Speaker 5 (29:46):
Centthing the Bells. They only have a fifteen percent chance
in my models right now, which is very low. But
this offense deserves to be and we deserve to watch
this offense in the plip. We deserve to see Josh
Allen is playing lights out this year. I understand there's
been some turn YadA YadA, but if their defense had

(30:06):
played even just a little bit better in several of
these games, we would still be talking about them as
Super Bowl contenders. I just think this is an offense
and the way they find Khalil is even being good.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Like what I already told you that they're making the playoffs.
A couple of weeks ago, write this down was Bills
make the playoffs. Now the odds are even less that.
That's great. The greg Heads know the Bills are making
the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
I'm Greg Head. I'm totally a Greg Head.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I am going to take the Denver Broncos. But Greg,
who do you think.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
I want to see the Rams in the playoffs? This
is a fun team. Matthew Stafford old slinging. And isn't
it nice to see Sean McVay happy again, just like
he was last year was a downer like this was
back to the good times. What a smile. It's just
like he loves the game. He loves football. When you
when you see Sean McVay on the sidelines lately, this
is the kind of vibes he's been given off, like

(31:02):
how McVeigh got his groove back type of vibe.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
He's a new dad too.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Yeah, And for anyone you know younger that there was
a movie in the nineties How Stella Got His grew
back then, I don't think anyone really watched, But the
phrase has lived on, and this Rams offense has lived
on in new form like they they've transformed into a
different sort of running team. They're fun.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
So does that mean that the Packers would be out
because I don't know if it's possible for the Packers.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
I said they're both in, which would mean the Seahawks.
In my mind, we got it.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
And ultimately how Stella got her grow back is one
of those soundtrack movies. Yes, yeah, and I didn't know where.
Let's talk about the Denver Broncos. I think the Denver
Broncos are going to make the playoffs and it's gonna
make a lot of those people who had like weird
victory laps in the middle of the season about the
the the early success for the Jets and maybe the
relative success for the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
That's all out of the window.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
But how about the season that Courtland Sutton is having
now a couple of years removed from that ACL injury.
It was difficult for him to come back. He's a
big receiver with a big frame. Well now Courtland Sutton
is back making huge plays in big moments after big
moment after big moment, and I hope the Denver Broncos
are able to celebrate a birth in the playoffs. Speaking

(32:13):
of belief, let's move out to a segment called you
Buying It. I'm gonna ask you guys a good question
about a few squads. You're gonna tell me if you're
buying them as playoff team.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
OK?

Speaker 3 (32:25):
So, Greg, are you buying the seven and four Steelers? Yes?
As a playoff teap.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Oh yeah, I'm rolling up to the store. I'm putting
the card down. I'm purchasing the Steelers. They are they're in.
I mean, look at that number minus two forty five.
I think the bigger question here is do they become
the best running team in the league the rest of
the season, because the numbers would say since they're buying
Week five, they're up there with the best of the

(32:50):
best in terms of running the ball. Gives them an
identity on offense. We know what the identity is on defense.
I actually think there's a better chance, and I don't
think it's gonna happen, but I think there's a better
chance they win the division over the Ravens than there
is them missing the play pencil them in five seed.
They're gonna be playing wild card weekend, A.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Pencil it in a team that's currently in and it
is and winners of three straight the Indianapolis Colt Cynthia,
are you buying them in the playoffs?

Speaker 5 (33:16):
I am selling them in the playoffs. I don't think
that they are a playoff team, not because I don't
necessarily believe in their run game, because I do, but
I have seen really inconsistent passing situations from them. Sometimes
it looks like maybe the route wasn't the right one.
Sometimes it looks like they're just not holding onto like
right and no, not that's gonna fall short drop it five.

(33:37):
I just think you need, especially in the AFC, the
passing quotient is so important, and you can't have a
team that only is. Really I do believe in them running,
even this week with Zach Moss, I'm not worried about
the run game at all. I'm worried about their pass catchers.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
So yeah, Minshew often trying to throw it to the
other team. They're not catching it all the time. That's problem.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Yeah, sometimes it feels like the passing game is kind
of smoking mirrors the Vikings on a bye. They have
lost two straight there at six and six. Right now,
do you still believe Greg Rose?

Speaker 4 (34:07):
I am buying them to I'm buying everyone. It's Christmas season,
it's the holidays. We're buying things. Let's disappoint anyone. Justin
Jefferson's coming back. I almost feel like it's been not
under the radar, but just we've been like, oh oh,
what a disappointing loss for the Vikings. They only finished
two and two with Josh Dobbs, who just arrived there

(34:28):
as their quarterback, without Justin Jefferson, the best wide receiver
in the game. If I had to choose just one,
it's Justin Jefferson. He's gonna come back after the bye
with superpowers and tech. I don't even know who's got
the quarterback's going to be, but I know the defense
is really Nick Mullens. I tend to think it's gonna
be Jaron Hall, who looked good for his one drive.

(34:50):
I hope it doesn't happen because I like Josh Dopps.
But no matter who you is a quarterback, you have
Justin Jefferson at wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
The Seahawks Cynthia have lost some heartbreakers, including against the
Cowboys on Thursday night.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
They have the final wildcard spot as of right now.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
Are they in I'm buying them. I'm buying the Seahawks.
I saw a lot of great things last night, but
mostly I saw DK Metcalf get his stella like groove
back last night.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Young for that.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
It doesn't mean yeah, I mean that's around Bland right there,
ladies and gentlemen. But when I'm watching DK Metcalf and
the routes between him and JSN and Tyler Lockett, but
him and JSN specifically, sometimes it looks confusing. I don't
know if maybe it wasn't. I don't know. Maybe maybe
there's some confusion, but especially because we'll probably get even
healthier versions of this team in the run game. So

(35:36):
between an increased runability and what we saw from DK
Metcalf last night, I'm buying them.

Speaker 2 (35:41):

Speaker 3 (36:04):

Speaker 2 (36:05):
The Dolphins and the Commanders, the greatest show on surf
versus that Washington defense, Greg, what do you see to Washington?

Speaker 3 (36:12):
If that one is low?

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Is that I think the Dolphins are gonna have a
great time in Washington thirty seven to twenty seven. And
I want to take you back to Week six. This
is the last time I feel like we got the
full to a tongue of I looa Dolphins offense experience
of just like a fire show. They've been good to us,
played well, but they haven't put together a complete offensive

(36:36):
game for a while, and I think this matchup is
the perfect opportunity to do so. Sometimes in life you
just want to be dazzled. Dazzle me too, you know,
like give it again.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Dazzled, Greg, I'm dazzled by knocks. I'm dazzled by coach,
like I'm dazzled by the whole thing in.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
All dazzling Markles.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
The Coltson Titans in Nashville, India will be missing Jonathan
Taylor for this one.

Speaker 5 (36:58):
What takes place, Cynthia Well, I think that the Titans
win this one at home. I only have a twenty
two to twenty one victory. Why, because you can pass
on this Tennessee defense. And I want to say, when
it does work, the RPOs do work. I told you
I'm a little worried about their pass catchers in terms
of playing in the playoffs. Making the playoffs, however, RPOs, Baby,

(37:19):
When the RPOs work, it's great.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
I thought I was select taking the home underdog here
with the Titans, the underde you actually.

Speaker 5 (37:27):
Have the biggest margin of victory, so you're the least.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Grease.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Now we all agree, Let's go to the Charger in
the Patriots, where we all agree as well. Spoiler alert,
Belichick declined to name and starting quarterback either way.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
I think the Chargers get.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
The win on the road twenty four to nineteen, and
I am looking back because Brandon Staley's confident against his defense.
I'm confident that the Patriots are going to run a
bunch of wide receiver screens, not all of them as
successful as that one. When Bailey Zappi came into the
game and finished the game against the Giants, seven of
his fourteen attempts were behind the line of scrimmage. I

(38:04):
don't know how confident they are in Bailey's appy. If
Bailey's Appy plays, I think we're going to see a
lot of the same.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
And we've been looking forward to write this down all days.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
We've got some predictions for you that we feel, really,
really good about for week thirteen?

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Greg, what is yours?

Speaker 4 (38:18):
You know, when I want a great number, I go
to the Queen the Model, Cynthia Friedland, and she told
me the Saints rush defense over the last four weeks
are twenty fifth in her model in terms of wind
shares allowed. And Jamir Gibbs is going up against him
this week and he's got to go over seventy six
and a half scrimmage yards. I threw the scrimmage yards

(38:38):
in there because I want the safety of a big
receiving play that's more fun to root for as well,
because when I look at Jamir Gibbs, I don't need
any numbers to figure this out. He's really really fast
and this defense is really really slow as defenses go.
I've got some more numbers for you. One sixty four,
one fifty six, one twenty five to twenty eight. These

(39:00):
are not the numbers of a surprisingly good bowling performance
by me. No, it's their rush defense every week, the Saints.
So they're just shive it up. That's bad.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
I remember that when they were so good against the road.
Things have changed, Cynthia.

Speaker 5 (39:12):
Okay, are you guys? Are you this is a spicy
one you're ready. Kyle Pitts. Do you know how many
touchdowns he's had this year?

Speaker 3 (39:20):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (39:20):
Do you know what he's gonna have after this week?
To Pitts is scoring a touchdown? You know why because
Arthur Smith hates your fantasy team and there's no other
reason than that. No, but ultimately, the Jets defense is
vulnerable to the tight end position. Arthur Smith knows that,
Desmond Ritter knows that, even Jon Robinson knows that. So ultimately,
this is going to be an opportunity.

Speaker 7 (39:41):
By the way, give me that touchdown.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
One more time.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
This is this is the same. Yeah, you know what,
seventy five different angles, any angles.

Speaker 5 (39:51):
It's beautiful and it's not going to be in London.
It'll be just you know last year he had one
in London that was like his first one. Anyways, I was.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
There for that. How many How do we have angles?
Kyle Pitts one touchdown and we can't put a camera
on every end zone.

Speaker 3 (40:03):
I want to see the skycam angle as well.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
My write this down is the fact that Brian Robinson
Junior will have forty one over forty one and a
half rushing yards against the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
The Dolphins defense giving up.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
A respectable all right, less than four yards per carry
on the season, but I think they pound Brian Robinson
trying to keep the offense off the field, and Brian
Robinson Jr. Has been having some great games also through
the air. I would take the air cavy out, but
I feel confident. I'm like Greg and this Jumior Gibbs pick.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (40:36):
I keep it ground only.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
I'm so confident. I'm confident. In fact, here's what else
you can write down. All three of us are getting
to write this down right this week. Oh, come back,
we'll revisit it and we'll honk and we'll brag.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Yeah, yeah, let's get that I.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
That's I win the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Then, yeah that we can put the crown on SI.
If that pick comes up right. We'll see you next
week on game debut thanks to watching Anybody.
