Speaker 1 (00:04):
NFL Game Debut is a production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Everybody Welcome to Game Debut. Patrick Claybohn Spoiled Rotten because
I get to sit here with these guys, Greg Rosell,
Cynthia Freeland talked football while you guys watching. We're halfway
through Greg, halfway through.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
The I cannot wait for this show because actually it's
gonna be my alter ego this week nine that's doing
the show, and nine is actually in first place in
the picks.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I have summoned all my rage like Mike JJ McCarthy,
and it's going to make me pick better the rest
of the season.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Combine that rage into a being that's conscious and aware,
much like Cynthia Freeland's model, which has once again supplanted
Dragon and I no more crowns for me. The crown
is solo on the head of Cynthia Freeland. Eighty five
and forty nine through Week nine, back where we all
expected Cynthia to be at the top.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
I just can't get over this alter egos.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Fun It's right, it's gonna help me. I'm only four back,
it's gonna help me.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
You're fine, You're the chips on shoulders. When you can,
when you can create a new person, let's teck the ball.
The Packers and Eagles met up in last year's wild
card round. Jalen Hurts through for two scores, including this
play where Dallas Goddard went full base mode on Carrington's
balance con on his way into the end zone. Jordan
Love threw three interceptions in the game. The Eagles won
it twenty two to ten and advance to the Divisional round.

(01:29):
If you're just joining us, they would ultimately go on
to win the Super Bowl. But now it's a revenge
fortunity on Monday Night and Lamba where the pat just
took a loss to the Panthers Eagles coming off the
bye who gets a win something?

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Philadelphia gets the win, but just by one point twenty
four to two twenty three. Not only did Howie Roseman
do it again and like steal people at free agency,
trade deadline, all of those things.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
But Saquon Barkley he's still there.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
And if you break down one of the things that
Saquon does really where where he's rushing really well, you're
looking at an inside run here, but you can look
to the outside too, and you can find good matchups
against what the Packers aren't defending as well. You can
say overall Packers defense pretty darn good against the run
in terms of yards per game given up. They're a
top the league, fifth, sixth right around there. But ultimately,

(02:15):
when you're looking at specific runs that Barkley does really well, Yeah,
unfortunately for the pack that is something that is not
their strength.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
So say juon Barkley, advantage for him.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
You've got an advantage in the run game. I've got
a more comfortable win for the Philadelphia Eagles twenty five
to twenty. I think the Eagles passing game has a
lot to do with it. The Packer is one of
the best teams against slot receivers, allowing the third fewest
yards in the league data. Smith's getting sixty three percent
of the time in the slot. So why not have
Dallas Goddard playing in tight like he has a lot

(02:47):
this season? Maybe not a big highlight like the one
he had in the playoffs, but enough to keep change
moving and maybe get another touchdown Birds For.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Me, Greg, I gotta say it's an opportunity here when
in a game that I frankly don't know what to
do Let's take a home favorite.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Let's gets Greg.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Let's have the Packers win this game, because this team
is so hard to figure.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Is this nine picking or Greg picking?

Speaker 3 (03:11):
This is actually my real alter ego is sixty percent G.
I think that's better. Nine is taken by JJ McCarthy.
And I want Jordan Love to bring an alter ego
this week. He almost leads the league and passes behind
the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
So you're seeing a lot of these short passes by.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Jordan Love this season and it's a little frustrating. I
want him to start airing it out. Only Kyler Murray,
who haven't seen in a while, has a higher percentage
of throws.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
Behind the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Let's go back to an alter ego of Jordan Love,
and it's like Jordan Love from a couple of years ago,
who has a little more daring do who throws the
ball down the field. And this is the most confounding
team in the NFL, and so I was struggling to
pick this game. I thought, what does the most confounding
team in the NFL do? They actually go out and
win this game when nobody expected it, at least not
on this set so I'm gonna get it right.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
Yeah, you're wrong.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
It's one out of three, so it can't be nobody.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
I still can't get over if it's sixty percent g picking.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Or great sixty percent, sixty six percent got it?

Speaker 2 (04:14):
It's top forget more with Geico Cynthia. Which Eagles receiver
is more likely to have over sixty yards in the game?
Is it aj or DeVonta?

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Well, you talked about it when you were talking about
slot situations. They are much more stout against slot receiver.
So pick the guy who lines up out wide more often.
That's Aj Brown to have more than fifty five receiving years.
When I'm looking at the opportunity in this one, I
think he also see that busts and coverage. I know
we're watching Minnesota, but that's kind of the thing that
he does. Those deep passes will be an advantage, especially

(04:43):
with the team that likes to get a little a
little blitzy with it upfront.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Well, blitzy with it. Like the matchup, it's a great game.
That's why we're kind of split that close scores. Looking
forward to Eagles Packers. Another matchup I can't wait is
the Rams and Niners. These teams had an epic matchup
back over there at SOFI Stadium Week five. Here's a
quick recap on how that went down.

Speaker 7 (05:08):
Mitchell close MCA and it cut Joe Barney.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Knarro gives the Niners be Leenando Rams gets a football
coming one man had.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
It on twenty times.

Speaker 8 (05:23):
Tim Stumbling start the field.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
A big Rams Niners rematch up there in Santa Clara.
The NFC West is up for grabs. Who gets their
seventh win of the season Sunday.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
It will be the Los Angeles Rams.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I actually don't think it's gonna be that close this
week twenty nine to seventeen. You just saw Fred Warner's
image in that last game. He's no longer on the field.
Neither's Nick Bosa. The defense isn't the same. You know
who is the same. It's Matthew Stafford each and every week,
as long as you protect him. The numbers are just outrageous.
If you can get quick pressure on him, he's not

(06:01):
the same quarterback.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
You know who's not getting any pressure.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
The forty Niners defense among the lowest pressure rates in
the league, especially since Bosa went out, and ultimately these
are division rivals. Kyle san Dam has been a tough
matchup for Sean McVay over the years. But when you
have two teams that I think are really in balanced,
I think the Rams are way more talented right now,
and you already lost the first game, It's gonna even
out in the rematch.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I think the Rams get it well, can even out
in the rematch without being that big of a differential,
which is what I have twenty four to twenty two
in favor of the Rams in this matchup. Because there
is one guy who is still playing for the Niners.
It's Christian McCaffrey. This is someone who averages one hundred
and fifty eight scribbage yards in five matchups against this
is that's that's kind of a lot.

Speaker 8 (06:44):
You know.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
I think they'd be pretty happy with that type of
output in this and what you see here is this
game of chess.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
I love the analogy. It's very dorky, but whatever.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
When you see McCaffrey do something like, for example, in
the rest of the season, he's really used a lot
when he's in motion thirty five percent of the time.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Well, when they play each other, what happened last time?
They didn't they completely reversed that trend.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
They target him on just two times of the fifteen
that he went in motion ahead of the snap. So
they're just coming out like Kyle sitting him like, ha,
I'm going to figure out what to do to get
Sean madd and Sean saying ha, I'm going to figure
out what to make good met So I just think
it ends up being a closer match up. It's more
fun for us to watch a closer matchup too.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
I we just talked about this. I wish I could
change my score to completely split the difference between you guys.
I've also got a Rams win, but it's not twelve,
it's not two. It's a six point win because it's
gonna be I'm gonna get the ball to Christian McCaffrey.
But all the plays on the sheet are just Christian
McCaffrey and over on the other side. Last time they played,
every single play felt like it was Kendrick Bourne. Kendrick

(07:45):
Bourne was targeted on twenty four percent of his routes
run against the Rams in week five yards one hundred
and forty two yards. He was incredible. Late in the game,
you were thinking, well, this ball is obviously going to
Kendrick Bourne. It was, and the Rams still couldn't stop him.
They've made trades, they had changes in the secondary. Roger
McCree came over on October twenty seventh. I think considering

(08:06):
the volume of things that had to happen for the
forty nine ers to win that game, and so far,
it's likely uh to me that the Rams win. So yes,
Niners fans, your photo opportunity is right here. Send us
the name alert. We are across the board taking the Rams. Here,
let's head from Santa Clara to the other side of
the planet, all the way to Germany for the first

(08:26):
ever NFL game to be played in Berlin on the NFL.
Is it Berlin.

Speaker 9 (08:32):
Kicking the week?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
It is an unbelievable to grab it out on this
Dan Taylor for the great running.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
Back, mister Robinson.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Oh my goodness, let's break down this matchup the Falcons
and Colts, both looking for bounce back games. Cynthia will
be in Berlin for this one where the das spielgwinnen,
which is a poorly enunciated way of saying who wins
the games?

Speaker 5 (09:13):
Dos Colts Indianapolis. I have them winning twenty eight to
twenty one. I want to talk about the newly acquired
Sauce Gardner. Why because this is already a defense that
is very good when they rush just forward. In fact,
they have the second highest pressure rate when they do that,
when they don't blitz, when they drop more.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Guys in coverage.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
One of the issues that lou and Rumo has had
so far this season is keeping his corners healthy.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Well.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Sauce comes over, hopefully he's able to play in this matchup,
and what does he do. He provides you that opportunity
to travel with number ones, something we've seen him doing
all season long so far, and to stay in tight coverage.
He has a lot of minutes played in tight coverage,
So giving just that one little extra wrinkle and fold
into that defense.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Is going to be good.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
You're going to see a good statistic ken from him.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
You know mathwork, I love.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but you're not sas guard
to the Colts. Just in time for an NFL Network
game and the Berlin crowd getting to see him versus
Drake London and I do want to talk more about
the Colts defense. We've given so much attention to the
offense over the year. How about Laatu Latu, the second
year pass rusher who is really breaking out this season.
He is in the top ten in the entire NFL

(10:24):
in pressures. He's coming off a big sack performance against
the Steelers. He's a defensive end with two interceptions this year.
You like, find your guy who can do a little
bit of everything. It really reminds me how well Chris
Ballard did in that draft a year ago, because Lastu Latsu,
the first defender taken, really coming on. And then they
drafted two offensive line starters in the interior in the

(10:46):
third and fourth round, in including Tanner Bordolini, who might
make an All Pro team. So it's not just about
the superstars. They've got a lot of good supplementary players.

Speaker 5 (10:54):
It's almost like if you, you know, get a homegrown
great player and you keep them, good things happen.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
I don't know, I'm just call me crazy.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
You acquire the talent, you utilize that talent to trying
to win. And the conspiracy theorists out there taking the
breadcrumbs from Greg Now, the folks that are like, oh
this the color is in the border of the arts,
feel it's all gonna happen. Everything's I've got Colts, I've
got a similar score. I think they score in that
area there, twenty seven twenty three. Because you know what,

(11:23):
Dimes is not going to play as poorly as he
did last week against the Pittsburgh So that would have
been a bad Dimes game when he was with the Giants.
He was when he was pressured. He completed just thirteen
attempts for eighty eight yards and two interceptions. But in
a clean pocket, the performance was much better. And there
was a time where we would get safety Dimes on

(11:44):
the retreat trying to be extra safe. I think maybe
that was more play caller than player in that one,
and Shane Stychen is not gonna let his guy go
out like that. Across the board, we are taking the
Indianapolis Colts against the Falcons.

Speaker 7 (11:57):
Colts, moving Crisp to the line of scrimmage under three
minutes remaining here in the fourth quarter, they get everybody
in place at the two fifty, Marcus Jones gets a
snap back to pass, looking pressure coming throws and his intercepted.

Speaker 10 (12:11):
Joey Porter Junior first interception of the season at the
forty yard line of the Steelers.

Speaker 7 (12:17):
As the Steelers now.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
With another turnover. How many macs one for the other
thumb six on the day they were expecting that they
had the sixth thing plan Tom for sees the season
presented by Casars Sportsbook. The first touchdown score for the
game between the Steelers and the Chargers. It is the
all time leader in the history of running the football
in the single season at Troy University. Come on, he

(12:40):
Man Dell, Jalen Warren, Lad McConkie, DK Metcalf and Arondez
Gadsden the second there as it's a couple of running
backs at the top and then three guys have catched
them all Steelers Chargers Sunday night right over there. It's
so far Rodgers and Company shot the top seed to
Colts last week. Do they come into La and take
down herbosynth.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
Yes, I have a two point win for the Steelers
twenty four two. I want to talk about the defense
why because you saw it with that interception.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
It was really caused by a bunch of pressure up front.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
And we're gonna play like a very sad song for
this Chargers ole line because Joe Walt being out is
a huge deal. He the difference when he's playing when
he's not. It's a ten percentage point increase, just about
a ten percentage point increase in the amount of pressure
that Justin Herbert is under. And these guys are now
figuring it out. They really like getting into a good guru.

(13:34):
They really got into it last week and caused just
a whole bunch of problems for Daniel Jones. Justin Herbert
has been under a ton of pressure. I think that continues,
thus leading to a two point in a two point
win for the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Yeah, I hate to go against Herbo. I love Rudion
a Chargers. He's clearly the best quarterback in this game
by a lot. He's playing at an MVP level. And yeah,
I'm taking the Steelers because you just mentioned all the
reasons why the Chargers offense could struggle. How about this
Chargers defense one of the worst in the league against
the run and Jalen Warren and this pits for Steelers
ground game has been very consistent all season, fourth in

(14:09):
the league.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
Jalen Warren in.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Mistackles forced per carry, and they love getting out there
with those jumbo packages. And the Chargers don't like matching personnel,
and so they're gonna stay in what they do, and
you get Darnell Washington. You got a sixth offensive lineman
out there. And Patrick Claybond will tell you again and
again with his anti Jalen Warren.

Speaker 6 (14:29):
Propaganda that he's just a guy, but he's not a guy.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
I'm the president of the Jalen Warren Committee to make
the Pro Bowl in twenty twenty five. No matter what
Patrick says, don't listen to him.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Listen to Greg taking a conversation from two years ago
completely out of context. I like Jalen Warren. I think
the Steelers may score some points. I don't think there
were score more points than the Los Angeles Chargers. I
love the Chargers win, and I will be all alone
and be comfortable with it because doing it all by
yourself is what Justin Herbert is gonna have to do,
and that's what he's kind of done for big parts

(15:02):
of the season. This is the regular standard version of
Justin Herbert. This is this is the dangerous version, the
most dangerous version. And yeah, relying on Trevor Penning to
come over and save your season at tackle is a
dangerous situation. But on the move, when he's extending plays
longer than four seconds and buying time. He's got more
touchdowns in that situation than anyone else in the league,

(15:24):
So I'm fine. I do think like you guys, the
Steelers will score around twenty points. I think the Chargers
get more points at home and get a win. Seize
the season brought to you by Caesar Sports. But new
users can bet one dollar and boost their next twenty
bets by one hundred percent. Must be twenty one or older.
See Caesars dot com slash promos for full terms. Maye

(15:46):
waiting on the snap.

Speaker 8 (15:48):
If he takes the snap, he looks to the left
and he throws it for five packs on a real
and he drops it in the mid section for a
Patrons touchdown.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Sex Sell Damn sex Steeves put to the left, may
have to throw fires over the middle.

Speaker 9 (16:04):
Pitchership to Ditch jeronesis cross to the outside, Dogs byline
touch down, Patrians to Ruckley Dicks to get outside of
the pieline.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Drake May and the Patriots on a six game win streak.
They're heading to Tampa to take on Baker and the Bucks.
It was Greg Rosenthal who said a year ago, Drake
May is the only thing that Matt Well now the
team is mattering, Greg They're in the play for the
number one overall seed. Do they win in Tampa.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
I don't think they do.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I think it's a reality check, and that's okay. They're
seven to two. This is the first really good team
they've played in a month. And part of the reason
I don't have faith is because of the offensive line
in front of Drake may So. It's twenty seven to
twenty four Bucks. I think it's a good game. But
he has taken sixteen sacks in the last three weeks alone.
He has taken the second most amount of sacks in

(16:56):
the entire NFL this season. Remember last year we said
that is one of the worst Patriots offensive lines I
have ever seen. He's actually taken as many sacks this
year already as he did in three more starts last
year as a rookie. And then you think about the matchup,
and I see communication problems up front with young players
rookies Will Campbell Wilson at guard, and you go against

(17:17):
Todd Bowles and this defense. I think it's just gonna
be a little bit of a reality check in that
they won't protect.

Speaker 6 (17:22):
Him well enough.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I've got a Tampa Bay win as well by three
twenty six to twenty three, and Drake May takes those
sacks because Drake May tries to hit on runs. He's
a great deep passer, but they're going up against the
team that has a great player that teams are absolutely
avoiding right now, in Antoine Winfield Junior, in the middle
of the field, he's less than five percent of his
covered snaps he gets targeted. He's right there, sitting about

(17:46):
fifteen yards off the line of scrimmage in the middle
of the field, and teams are going elsewhere, and even
when they do, all right, he can get over there
to sideline and make plays. I think the defense does
enough to get another Baker Mayfield fourth quarter win.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Cynthia, well, go ahead and give me the prime number.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Twenty six to twenty five in this one, because kind
of everything that you.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Guys said is true.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Of course, the old line is giving up a bunch
of sacks, and of course Antoine Winfield is also very good.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
But I don't know if Drake maybe like even cares
or knows.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
About this, because in those games when he's taken a
bunch of sacks, he still has over two hundred passing
yards and an over one hundred passer rating.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
In fact, he's kind of setting records.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
He's tied for the second longest streak of such kind
of efficiency all time. So I'm not sure it's not
to say, like maybe he just doesn't he just doesn't
register at as a problem. And I'm looking at this
and I'm saying, what does this remind me of? You
guys talk about liking Matthew Stafford, Well, you know what,
Drake may is exceptionally good at like just like in
that Matthew Stafford roal met the play after being pressured,

(18:47):
completing a pass the play after being pressured, making it
so that his team earns a first down or touchdown.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
He didn't care.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
I mean, maybe he cares, but doesn't seem to matter.
He's he's feeling either way.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
I think there's a small part of this like, oh no,
we lost twelve yards, so now I gotta throw deep.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
Oh no, this is the first prime number. I'm rooting
for it. By the way, officially, for the of this one, it's.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Time for Who's Eating Good? Presented by Applebee's Cynthia. Let's
talk about the other quarterback, Well, Baker Mayfield pass for
more or less than two hundred and forty seven yards
on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
I think he passes for more than that. I think
it's going to be a close, higher scoring game, which
would mean lots more passing for everyone.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Though beware, he has had some interesting results.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
He's targeted intermediate passes quite a bit, and that's an
area that the Patriots have actually been good at defending.
So you know, spread the love around a little bit more.
See who's actually playing. But I mean, I still like
a mechic Buka. Just score a touchdown in this one too.

Speaker 8 (19:41):
Henry Alongasacfia, Jake Lawers throws in motion now re versus
close to the right, Lamar rolls out to the right,
rows quickly touchdown Mark Andrews watch it in the ten
pt Andrews in touchdown rivings. Two for two for Mark Andrews.
Lamar to throw lot to the MZO. It's a tree off,

(20:02):
tight end touchdown. Lamar SLINKs it to the end zone touchdownriving.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
It's sid for the Reid presented by Microsoft co Pilot.
Microsoft co Pilot, your AI companion for NFL Game Day
and every day, we asked which matchup would decide the
Ravens Vikings game and co pilot highlighted the Minnesota receivers
against Baltimore's secondary, a unit that's given up a lot
of big pass plays this season, going up against Justin Jefferson,
among the league's best in that category. Let's Talphomore Ravens Vikings.

(20:33):
Both squads looked great and wins last week. Both are
trying to stay in the playoff hunt, and I will
lead off with what I believe is a narrow win
for the Ravens twenty seven to twenty six. The Ravens
relying on the offense and the thing that the offense
is best at, play action. Lamar Jackson is still completing
ninety percent of this passes. When Baltimore runs play action,
He's twenty nine to thirty two for four hundred and

(20:55):
seventy eight yards and seven touchdowns. The Vikings have given
up five scores and only one interception this season on
play action. Necessarily, think they're gonna lock down JJ McCarthy
a company, but enough Cynthia to get a win.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Yeah, I mean, I think that JJ McCarthy could be good.
I have him scoring twenty one points, but I have
the Ravens scoring twenty six points.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Which is five more points than them.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
I'm looking at Derrick Henry in this matchup, and here's
the difference between what you saw from the Lions and
what you'll see from the Ravens. Number One, you have
eight quarterbacks that is a rushing threat on every single down,
which is not something you had with the Lions. So
now you have to figure out, Okay, are we gonna
try to stop Derrick Henry, We're going to try to
stop Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
What are we gonna do? What are we gonna do?

Speaker 5 (21:37):
And I think that Derrick Henry just rolls in those situations.
So for me, this is a big Derrick Henry game.
The matchup is something where they're gonna they're gonna have
to pick their poison. Good luck trying to figure out
how to stop both of them. I think that this
dual threat situation is too much for the Minnesota defense.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Derrick Henry rolls.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Initially I thought the Vikings would keep it rolling, and
then I saw the JJ McCarthy alter ego thing, and
I thought, oh, Ravens are winning this ball game, and
it's partly because of the deep Kyle Hamilton.

Speaker 6 (22:05):
He's mister fix it.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
When you have an issue on your defense, you just hey, Kyle,
can you go fix everything for us? Last year it
was backing them up having him played deeper. Suddenly the
pass defense is better this year. It's putting them closer
to the line of scrimmage. In the first five weeks
of the season, the Ravens were dead last in terms
of EPA for play allowed on the ground, like the

(22:28):
worst run defense in the league. Since they moved them
up the last three games, they're third. I mean, it's
it can't be all that simple. Rokwan Smith getting healthy
and playing really well is a huge part of it too.
But man, Kyle Hamilton is so valuable for this team,
and I think he'll make the Vikings one dimensional and
more valuable.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Again. We're having fun with the JJ McCarthy alter ego
thing because it's fun.

Speaker 6 (22:50):
Nine yes, nine nice.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Summoning the evil energy from his time out being injured.
The Ravens and Vikings projected to be one of the
highest scoring games of the week, according to our friends
at season. Let's take a look at the highest scoring
ones the Bengals want to buy some of the first
time they're not on this graphic. The Bills, Dolphins, Lions, Commanders, Rams, Niners, Ravens,
Vikings right there at forty nine points, Falcots, Colts and

(23:16):
Patriots Buccaneers rounding out the highest totals of the week.
It's time for two minute drill presented by vat Wells
Fargo Active Cash credit card allow us to make some
quick picks for you. The Lions of commanders Marcus mare
starting for the injury j and Daniel Cynthia. The Lions
have lost two of their last three. What do they
do here?

Speaker 4 (23:34):
A touchdown win twenty eight to twenty one.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Let's talk about Aman Rossing Brown in this matchup, Well,
the Commander's defense, let's just say they're giving up like
all of the yards per carry, it's so over eight
and a half excuse me, yards per reception.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
And I'm looking at Amon Rossing Brown.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
I'm thinking, okay, Johnny Morton took taking a little heat
from not being able to get it going last week.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
And you know what happens when they bounce back. Just
go to your best receiver.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Let fourteen do the work, and I think that's what
will happen in this matchup is such a great one
from the standpoint of who gonna catch the passes.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
I think you could have a lot.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Of fun with maybe even another Jamis and William touchdowns
as well. But I'm on ras Saint Brown, big difference
maker in this one.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
There, We're all with you with the Lions. Let's go
to the Cardinals and the Seahawks. Seattle has one three straight.
Do they make it four? Correct?

Speaker 6 (24:18):
They absolutely do. I think it'll be tougher than that.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Six and a half points maybe indicates Cardinals keep it close,
but ultimately they win in part because of their new
addition Rashid Shahed. Love what he has done as a
New Orleans Saints and love that he's adding to a
team that already led the league in air yards per attempt.
Here's an outrageous stat for you. Rashid Shahed is the

(24:42):
leader in all of NFL history in terms of average
yards of scrimmage touchdowns. You know, as long as you
got ten, his average touchdown is over forty seven yards.
That is just outrageous explosion. And I don't think the
quarterbacks in New Orleans have really fully taken advantage of it.
I think Sam Darnold will, so I just don't want

(25:03):
them score any short touchdowns and ruining that number. Only
fifty plus yard touchdowns for ashg.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Gotnathan mel Gray in that category and his numbers if
you go look him up, we're absolutely bananas. I'll take
the Jags and the Texans. CD Shroud unfortunately out for
this one, so Davis Mills will start, and that's a
big factor in why I'm taking the Jacksonville Jaguars fourteen
to twelve. I would like to discuss Travis et In
with you. You may look at the stat sheet from

(25:31):
his game against the Raiders and think twenty two carries
for eighty four yards was okay. He broke nine tackles
to get eighty four yards. Forty three of his eighty
four yards were after breaking tackles in a game the
Jags barely won. I think he will also contribute in
a narrow win in the division, as I'm all alone
taking the Jacksonville Jaguars. Snooze off game on the NFL

(25:54):
takes the field in Berlin for the first time as
the Falcons square off against the Colts in a historic
early morning showdown. Get ready to wake up and watch,
because here our stars come out out in the morning.
It's Sunday Morning Football. Sunday nine thirty am Eastern only
on NFL Network and streaming on NFL Plus. Subscription required
for NFL Plus visit plus dot NFL dot com for

(26:17):
hern It is time for more or less. We have
acquired our foam fingers here on stage five, so we
will discuss some player props for the Falcons Colts game
in Berlin. First up is Cynthia Freeland. John Robinson limited
to just forty six yards last week on the ground.
Does he go over sixty seven?

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Well, he's got some weird splits, but I do think
he goes over that number in this matchup. I'm looking
at the opportunity against the Colt Snow and I'm watching
what Michael Pennix has done. And on third down he's
averaged six point four yards to go when he's throwing
behind the line of behind the sticks. It's just making
no sense. So run the football more use your guy.
I think it's more than sixty eight rushing yards. Again,

(26:58):
the splitz are weird. I feel better at scrimmageyards, but
we'll go thrush.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
All right, Let's go to Greg Rosenthal. More or less
than nine three rushing yards for Jonathan Taylor.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
You know the Steelers had a great plan to stop him.
I do not think the Falcons will be able to
have that same plan. So I am going more than
ninety three and a half rushing yards. The thing with
Jonathan Taylor, he only needs to have one or two
big runs to get over this number.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
That's the type of explosion that he has.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
The second level blocking by the by the Colts has
been great, not great on defense stopping the run for
the Falcons all year.

Speaker 6 (27:30):
So yes, in Berlin, where my dad was born, who
wasn't there long?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
A little longer than Cynthia'll be there this weekend. But yes,
Jonathan Taylor over all.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Right, let's go to the Falcons again. Drake London put
on a clinic last week against the Patriots. The number
here is seventy receiving yards, and I will go more.
I think that the Falcons will need to throw. I
don't think that Sauce Gardner is necessarily going to be
any concern because the Falcons do two things. Be befuddling
and throw the ball to the outside to Drake London,

(28:01):
where that's just where it's going. Sometimes it feels like
you could cut out large portions of the field and
the Falcons would still look the exact same. So yeah,
I think more than seventy for Drake London. And a
reminder to everybody to get up early Sunday morning and
also set your lineups to watch Falcons and Colt live
from Berlin kickoff at nine thirty am Eastern. Then next

(28:22):
week catch the Commanders and the Dolphins from Madrid. You
can watch both games on NFL Network as well as
NFL Plus.

Speaker 8 (28:31):
William slings it, Loveland bows off his man, He's gonna
score home, Colston Lovelan.

Speaker 10 (28:40):
In ain't sean trapper fifty eight yards on the catch
and run from the rookie and another meltdown by the
Cincinnati defense. This is one of the craziest games we
have seen in the NFL in recent memory.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Son for Once Ahead, presented by a Credit One Bank
Giants Bears, that Soldier Field Chicago. Coming of that wild
game with the Bengals, Jackson Dart as must see TV.
But did you see the Bears last week? I believe
it's another score fist. I've got thirty one to twenty
nine because a lot like the Bengals defense. And shout
out to the fan that said that they won't misstackles

(29:21):
defense will the Bears are non standard as well. They
do fun stuff. Caleb Williams is at his best when
the play is breaking down, and against a defense that's
pretty inconsistent in New York. They're rough against the run.
They're really bad against deep passing, have been for a
couple of years now. I feel great about this. Even
though my scores raizor close the Bears narrowly winning thirty

(29:42):
one to twenty nine.

Speaker 5 (29:42):
I have a little bit more of a comfortable win there.
I have the Bears winning twenty seven to twenty two,
and I've made a promise. I'm going to keep talking
about running outside on this Giants defense until they improve it.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
So let's just do that again.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
Because Kyle Manungui showed us that if it's him getting
to start or no matter who's playing running back for
their maybe I think if Greg were playing running back
for the Bears, well, Gregs, he's getting you know where
he'd run to the outside. You know why he'd run
to the outside, because the Giants are giving up.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
Like historic numbers to the outside.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
If you're looking at every metric that matters, all the
explosive plays, all of the yards after contact, all the
yards before contact, all of the rushing yards over expected,
just anything that you can imagine, the number of last
or the one where the Giants are the most generous.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
Here's a gift. Just run to the outside against is
We're we're actually not going to try to stop you.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
So until they do that, I promise you, I'm gonna
keep talking about that.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
And whoever the.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
Giants play, this is this is my week.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
This is my week to I know DeAndre Swift is
coming back from injury, but Ben Johnson put me in,
put me in the backfield. Anyone that runs behind Darnell
Right at right tackle, and this improving offensive line is
going to be absolutely fantastic. This right tackle is turning
into one of the biggest playmakers on the team. It's
not often we're talking about the big guy upfront, but

(30:59):
he is just putting people into the dirt and sometimes
like these.

Speaker 6 (31:04):
People have families, Darnell, I mean, be easy on the guy.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
It is really impressive to see a plan come together
and a coaching staff really improve on the talent that
was already there. And that's what I think that's happened
for Darnell Right especially, and I hope this is the
one that I'm looking at a watch out.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
By the way, Caleb on that.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Game winner, that's an absolutely ridiculous yes throw for a
guy who doesn't always hit it right on his back foot.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
I mean, not many quarterbacks canna make that throw. So
way to go.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
Caleb, and way to go Greg and getting the spot
shadow highlights on a tackle. Not in draft season like
it's like, I'm like Poplop. It's making me think about
draft boards. Getting everybody ready. That's why you take somebody
like Darnel right, a big part of that Bears game
coming up. We're not just monsters of the midway. We're
at the midway point up the season, so it's time
to reassess. We've learned a lot these past nine weeks,

(31:57):
so we're giving you our updated pitch for who's gonna
win MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and more, and
we will give those to you when we'd come back.
You're watching game debut. We are officially at the halfway

(32:18):
mark of the season, so it's time to forecast who
we think is going to walk away with some hardware
at the end of the year. Let's start with MVP
Cynthia as well as I would like to side with
Matthew Stafford. Only, wow, Greg, you're going with one Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
I am because this is a predictive thing we're doing,
we're not saying so far. And I think Patrick Mahomes
is the best player I've ever seen come into the league.
And I'm a loyal guy, and I've been married seventeen years,
I've been in an NFL network thirteen years, and I
picked Patrick Mahomes before the season. Nothing that he's done

(32:54):
so far would make me move off of that pick.
In fact, the offensive line, the weapons around him. In fact,
Josh Simmons, by the way, is back with the team,
so that's good news for the offense line. All makes
me think that by the end of the year, he's
gonna have numbers that are just undeniable and they're gonna
win a lot of games in the end. So you

(33:14):
just got to go with the younger guys. You know,
he's the younger, better version of Stafford. Sorry, why are
you sorry?

Speaker 2 (33:20):
So to clarify, this is not a should, this is
a will.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
This is a will. This is a will will win
MVP and just got put it down as.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Also answered it as who will.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Okay, so all wills, no shoulds here. Let's move to
the defensive Player of the Year. We've got different picks.
You like Greg's good friend Nick Benito.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
Well number one, anyone who makes fun of Greg, we're
pals on this one. But Nick Benito is making a
very strong case for the award with his pressure rate
up there, with the sacks up there, with his ability
to just absolutely crush the hopes of quarterbacks and Greg.
You know that does help a little bit, Like you
tweet at Greg, Greg, we're gonna put you on the

(34:01):
show and we're gonna love you a ton. But I
also like his grill, which is really fun. And look,
I'm kind of being silly here. It's his play on
the field that I think has really stood out. This
is obviously a very good defense. They might go, you know,
wire to wire pretty much being a top three defense
in pressure rate and in large part because Benito with
Zach Allen, with all these things working together. But he's

(34:24):
kind of the straw that's storing the drink. So and
it makes ton of gregs so we like that too.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yes, always a hit on this particular stage. I'll take
the last one. Offensive rookie of the year. Greg's going
with t Max. Cynthia and I are going with a
Mecca Buka because what a pairing he has been with
an aggressive quarterback like Baker Mayfield. And I know you
may be saying, Patrick, this is will, this is not
should and Jackson Dark plays quarterback. Yes, I understand all

(34:48):
of that, but I do think we go back to
the remember the CJ. Stroud Puka Nakua discussion and all
the things that Puka would ultimately have to do. I
think going back and looking at this and the way
that they're playing, he's not just catching getting tight window targets,
he's actually catching them as well. I've got a Mecca
Buka to win this.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
It also really helps if you make the playoffs right,
because when you vote on it is the end of
the regular season typically, So that's why to me and
Mecca Luka is the one.

Speaker 6 (35:15):
You know what else would help?

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Knowing like I do that t Mac is going to
have about eight hundred more yards this season and finish
up with thirteen hundred and take this award in the end.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
He knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing.
Now here's the look at the current favorites for a
majority of the season long awards.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
Oh, Josh, any of them?

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Seventy five, Michah Parsons. There is Jackson Dart right along
with his teammate Abdula Carter. That's terrible, Shane Stuck.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
No, so the heater you're out there voters like Dart
should not be the favorite.

Speaker 6 (35:46):
He shouldn't win. I don't think Carter should be the
favorite either.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
But that's the thing. Yeah, it's he plays quarterback, and
that's that's what all these awards are for, apparently quarterback.
It's time for quick picks as we make some more
quick picks here on game debut. The Browns and Jets
are at MetLife. Gang Green went a little while at
the trade deadline.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
What takes place in Well, the Browns they are going
to win the football game twenty one to fourteen. I
have a not just a prime number here, but a
pretty significant.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
I'm number A touchdown a touchdown. You know what.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
Things are a little messy out there in New York.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Yeah, you don't think so, okay, but Quinn Shawn Jenkins
has been pretty great.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
If you're looking at the opportunity to get yards after.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
Contact, let me introduce you to a guy who's gotten
ninety six percent of his yards after contact, second most
of the league.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
He has four rushes of thirty plus yards. That's tied
for most in the league.

Speaker 5 (36:35):
The Jets Quinna Williams isn't there to stop him. Do
you guys know that when player gets traded away, they
don't actually still play that week?

Speaker 6 (36:41):
That's fair.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
But Patrick made a very inspiring speech on NFL Daily
that the Jets were going to be like the Cleveland
baseball team in Major League And that's honestly, you know what.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
I don't know if anyone on those teams have seen
that movie, because it might be a little before their time.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
But they don't get to play the player that they took.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
They tried. That's that's why Justin Fields is going to
go up.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
Oh Miles Garrett still there right, yeh is?

Speaker 2 (37:06):
And there's only one thing left to do, well, win
the whole thing. I'll take this. Saints and the Panthers
all the chanther shock in the world last week in Lambeau.
Do they keep it going here? Greg?

Speaker 6 (37:20):
They do?

Speaker 3 (37:21):
But I was interested to see that the Panthers are
favored for the first time all season and it's by
five and a half points, so I do think the
Saints keep it closer. But let's give some love to
the Panthers. First of all, have they had a video
clip on this show all season?

Speaker 6 (37:33):
I don't even know. Their defense certainly hasn't.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
And you know what, they're mixing up their coverages better
each and up every week.

Speaker 6 (37:40):
I think they're building.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
They've had some good continuity in terms of Giro Everro
being there as their coordinator, and they have two good players.

Speaker 6 (37:47):
So what you're seeing here is j. C.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Horn, who is turning into an all Pro type of cornerback,
and then Tron Morrig who's been a really good free
agent pickup, making a lot of plays in coverage and
near the line of scrimmage, kind of.

Speaker 6 (37:59):
Like the nfc S Kyle Hamilton.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
He's not that guy, but he's that style of play
and it's one of the reasons why they are over
five hundred now.

Speaker 6 (38:07):
So let's go Panthers.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Yeah, a nice season for the folks in Carolina. Let's
go to the Bills and the Dolphins. Buffalo coming off
with a big win over the Chiefs. I think they
eked this one out, actually, twenty seven to twenty five
off a closer score, because I would like to discuss
Jalen Waddle and the opportunity against this Buffalo Bills secondary
that looked incredible. Maxwell Harrison has come over and fixed
everything against Kansas City, where maybe the abilities of the

(38:35):
Kansas City receivers making moves getting open doesn't necessarily measure
up to the teams that have been able to cause
problems for Buffalo. I think Jalen Waddle and maybe one
of the last games with Tua that's starring quarterback perhaps
has a good opportunity here. But we're all on the Bills.
When we come back, it's our favorite time of the week,
it's time for write this down. We're dishing out our

(38:56):
favorite player props for week ten. Greg and I have
been hot and on fire the one place where recently
we've been beating Cynthia nowhere else. We'll see what we
all picked when we come back on game debut. Get
a pennon paper. It's time for write this down as

(39:18):
we have for you some prop predictions for week ten
and starting.

Speaker 6 (39:22):
Us all, I've hit three in a row.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
I'm gonna make it four with Davis Mills and that
that inspired laughter in our production meeting. I believe in
Davis Mills. He started a lot of games early in
his career, and I believe in the matchup against the
Jacksonville Jaguars, I think getting ready to start. He hasn't
started in about three seasons. But they trusted him enough
that they gave him a long term extension because they.

Speaker 6 (39:46):
Like him, because he helped them win.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
A game that actually they didn't want to win, at
least the ownership didn't, and that wound up getting him.

Speaker 9 (39:52):
C J.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Stroud and you know what, we had a big conversation
about next last week and I just got to say,
I'm sticking my neck out for this game. And I
don't think Davis Mills can be overlooked in any conversation,
including about neck.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
He has an epic neck, that's for sure. All right.

Speaker 5 (40:08):
I need to get back on the right side of
good here, and that is with Saquon Barkley to have
more than two receptions, so at least three.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
What I'm sorry the next step?

Speaker 2 (40:20):
No, Greg? Greg? Greg had a one liner there.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
It was good sayings stuck my neck out, he stuck here. Okay,
it was great, a good dad joke.

Speaker 5 (40:27):
We love it all right sake one Barkley more than
two and a half for receptions. Who's going to catch
at least three balls in this matchup? SA one has
a good neck too. He doesn't want to be left
out of this neck conversation. Maybe not an epic neck,
but a very good one.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Yeah, you know it helps you have good form on
all your exercises. And a guy who got a lot
of exercise over on our show, NFL Fantasy Live, which
you can see week nights at six o'clock.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
Oh, there you go.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
I'm on an NFL network. We have a stat for
the cardio king. We crown them an incredible number. For
Romo Dunday last week he ran two thousand and nine
yards and zero catches. I think he will have fifty
three more than fifty three yards against the Giants. For
Cynthia Freeland and Greg rose Ball, I'm Patrick Clabo. Thanks
for watching Gain in Ofview, See you next week.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
