Speaker 1 (00:04):
Ten Takes is a production of the NFL in partnership
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Ten Takes.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Let's roll ten minutes on the clock ten takes to
deliver in those ten minutes no fat on this episode.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Start the clock. Take number one. That was the best
New England Patriots win in three years, maybe four years.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
They just went into Buffalo on their special night with
their white uniforms and their white out in the crowd,
and that white out was terrible for Buffalo is like
worse than the one Penn State does. And they had
a horrible weekend. Two New England goes in there and
beats them and beats them up, and they do all
the things that the Buffalo Bills don't do. Buffalo Bills
don't score fewer than thirty points. They only had twenty.

(00:53):
They don't lose at home. They lost at home. They
don't lose the turnover battles. Do you understand the Buffalo
Bills were riding the longest streak of winning the turnover
battle in NFL history, like back during the Steve NFL
Films days, you can't find anyone who is doing it better.
And they just lost it to a second year quarterback
and a new head coach. That was the best Patriots
win in years. The fact that they can go in

(01:15):
there and beat them, the fact that they can let
make Josh Allen look pissed off an ornery like you
look the whole night. Josh Allen used his first team
All Pro body language. He's like a giant labrador out there.
He's always happy. He's always hopping around and smiling and winking.
He's so likable. He was pissed last night. He's exchanging
f bombs with Patriots. You can see it. That was
the Patriots doing that to him. And listen, all Buffalo's

(01:36):
goals are in front. I'm not saying there's seasons over,
but that was incredible. What New England did last night
best winning at least a few years.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Take number two.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Stefan Diggs just put on a clinic of how to
go back against your old team. If you are a
player right now in the NFL who may have to
face your current team someday. Specifically, maybe if you're a
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and there's a good chance you
won't be on your current team someday. Watch Week five
stiff On Diggs returning to Buffalo. Not only does he
have ten catches and was the best player in the game.

(02:04):
Everything he did was grace and class and friendly and
fun in spite of Bill's fans kind of wanting to
boo him. His pregame interview with Melissa Stark, his production
meetings with the crew, his postgame interview. I love this
fan base, I love this town. He even went so
far as to get in and talk about the meme
photo of when Diggs was on the Texans looking side

(02:25):
eye at Allen. He's like, no, that was just a
bad moment, tough frame. They caught us, and I was
really looking at him fondly. It was just so likable
and so good and everything Stefan Diggs was when he
came into the league. That is how you go against
your old team. Take notes on a AJ Brown when
you're doing it next year. Take number three. Bow Knicks,
I think is the most pivotal player in the AFC.

(02:46):
Denver beats Philadelphia yesterday. Whatever Bonnicks is going to be
is going to determine a lot of things. Because Denver
has the defense and they have the coach, They're going
to matter. I don't know yet if they have the quarterback.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
If they do, they can win the super Bowl this year.
I said it. Joe Burrow is in the super Bowl
in his second year.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Bon Nicks can be in the super Bowl his second
year if he plays like he did in the second
half against Philly first half, now that's a wild card
loss for the second year in a row.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
If he plays like that.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Plays like the second half, they can win the super
Bowl this year. The defense is that good, that talent,
and the coach is that good. He is so pivotal whatever.
It's like he's given the Ferrari to drive. Do you
know how to drive this thing? I'm not totally sure
you do. We'll find out if we're talking six, seven,
eight weeks from now about Wow, bon Nix has really
turned the corner. They're a team you completely have to
look out for. That was an impressive win. Great defense,

(03:33):
great coach. I don't know if Nicks is great yet,
but I have my eye on him. Take number four.
The AFC is fascinating right now.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Who wants a spot? It's wide open. Who is great
in the AFC right now? Just great?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I guess it's Buffalo sort of not really not last night.
You have these teams who you can count on as
a brand, who you know what they're going to bring,
even when it's not always great, You just can count
on them that they'll be a factor. The Ravens they're
totally broken, completely broken. Not only as Lamar hurt, their
defense is destroyed. They got absolute humilion yesterday with that
replacement team they had. The Bengals totally broken. The Chargers

(04:09):
are now broken in a lot of ways too. Both
their tackles are out, both their top two running backs
are injured. They've lost to in a row. I don't
know if I can necessarily count on them. So then
you have these up and comers I mentioned in the Broncos,
I mentioned the Patriots, the Colts, the Jaguars. This is
a great year to be an ascending AFC team. If

(04:29):
one of those teams is like, let's make the run
this year, let's grab that playoff spot this year, let's
grab that playoff win this year. Great year to do it.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Come on in.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
There is not a neon no vacancy sign in the
AFC Playoffs motel. They have turned that thing off. They
got rooms available, they got suites available, Come and get one.
The teams are really vulnerable right now. The Buffalo Bills
are going to be there, even the Chiefs. I like
that the Chiefs are gonna have to fight with the
numbers because I don't know what their win total is
going to be. They're a five hundred team going into

(04:59):
the game tonight. They win tonight three and two, Yes,
but it's not gonna be one of these fifteen and
two seasons from the Chiefs. They're gonna leave some meat
on the bone. If you're an up and coming team.
There are not a big time front runners, and I
like that everybody seems to be in the same pool.
So watch out for like a weird team at the
end of the season to make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I would like to see it. Take number five.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Was that the strangest Hail Mary I've ever seen? From
the Philadelphia Eagles try to beat the Broncos. Back to
the Eagles game, Jalen Hurts throws it up kind of perfect.
It's kind of a short one. I think it was
about thirty five Yards's not one of these sixty yarders.
He throws it up perfectly back at the end zone.
Good for him, one of his best passes of the year.
I feel like DeVante Smith was going to catch it.
He timed perfectly, he high pointed it. The Broncos kind

(05:40):
of blew it. They had about five guys there and
none of them jumped at the right time. Davante Smith
has in his hands and it is broken up by
AJ Brown who's behind him. I feel like Brown made
the defensive play of the week for the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Also, I think AJ Brown would have caught it if
Davante Smith wasn't there.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
They had this weird sort of Bob Sled alignment where
one of them was in front of the other one,
but neither one of them waited for the deflection. They
both went for the k they both high pointed it perfectly,
and they ended up messing up each other. The entire
Denver Broncos roster did nothing about that Hail Mary, but
the one eagle broke it up from the other. Ugly,
weird hail marror. We've seen so many different varieties. I
don't think I've ever seen that one.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Take number six. You know, I gave my game ball
and Good Morning Football this morning.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
I gave it to Jamar Chase, Jamar Chase, who got
absolutely destroyed again of the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I'm gonna name some names for you.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Micah Parsons, Joey Bosa, Kalais Campbell, Kenny Clark.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
None of those players had more tackles this weekend than
Jamar Chase.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Jamar Chase had three solo tackles in addition to over
one hundred yards receiving and a touchdown. Jamar Chase had
more tackles than Trey Hendrickson did for the Bengals. Can
you imagine how messed up they are that that's a
stat Can you imagine reality where Trey Hendrickson would have
more receiving yards than Jamar Chase.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
It's asinine right, Well, the opposite happened. Three solo tackles.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
He's got as many tackles as Michael Parsons, who's paid
about sixty million year to make tackles. Jamar Chase, He's like, hey,
I'm doing all I can for the team. Joe's out,
but I'm still leaving it all on the field. I
was so impressed with that performance. What a terrible, terrible
analysis is where the Bengals are right now, which is
just the seventh circle of health take number seven. I

(07:20):
think the Lions are the best team in the league.
I don't do power rankings. God bless them. Highly clickable,
snackable content. The Lions are the best team in the league,
the team to look horrible and weak. One has just
like dominant ever since. But the most interesting team in
the league and the best story in the league by far,
is the Colts.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Take number eight.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Find me anyone in the world, in fact, find me
anyone in the Colts organization who had the Colts at
four and one. They're physical, they run, they play defense
with all these old linebackers and d Lyman Zai yere
At Franklin's making plays, Quentin Nelson's levying guys. Jonathan Taylor
looks like he's twenty three years old coming out of Wisconsin.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
I love him. Take number nine.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Throwback uniform erotica, throwback uniform pornography. I can even call
it just people love it. It should be a Thursday
night thing. It should be a throwback Thursday. It's a
standard set arrangement that it's understood that the Amazon game
always has the throwback uniforms. Then we don't have to
have this discussion about why don't they wear them all
the time?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
No, no da, just the Thursday night game.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
They can hang their hat on at Any team, no
matter who they are, should be Thursday night throwback uniforms.
It's pretty easy. Take number ten. I was at a
wedding this weekend. Cocktail hour is the best part of
a wedding. The best part you sit through the ceremony.
No one really likes that. Hopefully it's short. The reception
is great, but the wheels kind of come off that
sweet little halftime, sweet spot of cocktail hour where you're
kind of riving up and having a few drinks and

(08:34):
setting the scene.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Or maybe you're looking for a bridesmaid or griomsman you
want to go home with. It's perfect. I love, love,
love cocktailer.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
And of course when I'm talking about Scotting bridesmaids of
grims and I'm talking about you younger people who aren't
married like I am. I was with my wife this
weekend at a wedding. We had a fantastic time and
we danced. Greatest part of the wedding cocktail Just love it.
Lookit me apps past. Maybe there's if it's expensive wedding,
it's like little sushi bar. Even maybe that's fine. You
can have a picks in a blanket anything I just
I'm always so.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Happy at the cocktail er.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
I'm not supposed to be talking now because it's past
ten minutes, but I was so tight at the top.
I'm giving myself an allegiance or an allowance rather of
about thirty seconds.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I'm thank you for you for having an allegiance to
this show. It's short, it's quick.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
There's not an ounce of fat on it, and we'll
do it again next week. Ten Takes Love You, See
You Monday. Ten Takes is a production of the NFL
in partnership with iHeartRadio. For more iHeartRadio pods, go to
