Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Welcome, It's that Good Morning Football presented by best Buy
or should I say buckle up? It's a Friday, August
try second. Jamie heard all Manti Teo, I guess dancing
away at the end of the week in La. Former
NFL defensive tackle friend of the show, Lawrence s Guy
joining us as well, and Kyle Brandton, New York. Kyle,
are we having an existential crisis? We have highlights, we
have Dallas Cowboys talk.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Just not sure where to go first.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I know there's so many toys. We don't know which
one to play with. We will play with them all,
I promise. Lawrence is here, Mine is, here's Jamie's here.
It is Friday. We got highlights, we got takes, we
got everything. It's Good Morning Football.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Let's roll.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
We get down, Jamie. Everybody happy Friday. Almost the weekends.
Let's make sure you're covered in the NFL before we Yeah, rolling, Jamie, Mansie, Lawrence, Kyle, Lawrence,

(01:08):
great to see you. How have you been. We were
celebrating yesterday. We were at the two week mark before
the regular season. Are you starting to also feel the
intensity slash the annoyance for this time of year.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Oh man, you know we had a two week mark, Like,
we know what I'm excited for when I get to
this point is the final preseason game. I'll be honest
with you. You get to see all that young talent come
out and play, and you get excited for the season
coming up. This new adventure where they're doing that buy
a week for that first last week.

Speaker 6 (01:37):
Of the seen A preseason.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
That's amazing because you get the rest yourself, but you
get the ramp up. You're like, hey, I'm gonna get
my body ready to go, start going. We're about to
watch football watch every Thursday. It's exciting around this time
of year.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
We got broadcasters doing the sexy deck seat during the prime.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
We see you, Kaylie Hartong.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
It's all working, But Kyle, I need editorial clarification. Shall
we do highlight or shall we do cowboys drama?

Speaker 4 (02:02):
I think listen the cowboy drama.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
We do it a lot. This is particularly good. This
is like the top shelf drama. Okay, the highlights preseason highlights.
Some of these names on it, guys, you're not going
to know the names. You know all the names and
the Cowboys stuff, so I think we should do it.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Okay, let's go. We'll start there. But don't worry. We're
going to get you your preseason highlights GMFB. We will
not let you down. Like Kyle said, it's unlike us
to start here, but sometimes it's just the hand that
you're drawn.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
We must.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
The Cowboys drama continues. Terry Jones spoke to Michael Irvin
and gave more details about how this situation with Michael
Parsons is playing out.

Speaker 7 (02:38):
I have agreed to give more money than has ever
been given in terms of guaranteed money than anyone ever
has as far as a defensive player. I've done that.
Now I am the cat that writes to check. Mike
and I talked and we had our agree months on term, amount,
guarantees everything. We're going to send it over to the agent,

(03:00):
and the agent said, don't bother cause we've got all
that to negotiate a lot, already negotiate that, already moved
off my mar own several areas.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
The agent at hand being one of the most powerful
in the business at this point, David Mullagetta, and he
wants to be part of this conversation, as does Mike
hero Fullow or NFL Network Insider with Us this morning,
the characters say the same Mike G it's Jerry Jones,
it's MICHAEH. Parsons And it seems like the numbers and
the terms just still can't get ink to paper.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
What's going on here?

Speaker 8 (03:32):
Yeah, to be clear, I did invite David Bulagetta to
be part of this conversation or any conversation on NFL Network,
and he said, nope, I'm just going to keep our
communication private.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
Now.

Speaker 8 (03:43):
As for Jerry Jones assertion that Muligheda told him to
stick it where the sun doesn't shine when he offered
to send the offer, Michah Parsons Camp is adamant that
those words were never uttered toward Jerry Jones. I guess
we can call it maybe paraphrasing, because maybe they said,
don't bother to send any numbers that you gave Mike

(04:03):
because we needed the oh.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
All that stuff.

Speaker 8 (04:06):
There hasn't been any negotiation, there's still isn't any negotiation,
and now there's no mention of the cowboys on Mike
Parsons social media, which, frankly, I'm surprised. He waited till
this long to play that card.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
That's usually one of the first.

Speaker 8 (04:19):
Ones that you play when it comes to modern message
sending toward the team. But Michah Parsons has made it
clear he wants a trade. He does not want to
have negotiations with the Cowboys unless they involve his agent,
and the Cowboys are unwilling Jerry Jones unwilling to do that.
I know Brian Chuckheimer is said he's confident that Michael
Parsons is gonna play Week one. I don't know where

(04:40):
he's getting that confidence from the team. Isn't moving Michael Parsons.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Is it moving?

Speaker 8 (04:44):
And there's been no negotiations between.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
The Cowboys and parsons agents.

Speaker 8 (04:48):
So here we stand, as the regular season Jamie draws
closer and closer. We are inside two weeks with no movement.
Perhaps there can be, perhaps there can be quickly. But
even if there is, this is a lot of on
field time that Micah Parsons has missed this point. You
could say, Oh, they did Dak Prescott right as soon
as the first game was about to begin. Yeah, but

(05:08):
he had been practicing the entire summer. Michael Parsons has
not the Cowboys and Parsons playing a dangerous game when
it comes to his availability for Week one.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Right now, all right, Mike, gee, thank you so much.
That was just the Cowboys. I know we're going to
check back in with you on a couple of other
things in the preseason, but until then, let's reset on
this a little bit.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
August first, Michaeh.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Parsons requested a trade away from the Dallas Cowboys. Now
he's currently scheduled to play on his fifth year option
this season that is worth twenty four million dollars.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Yesterday on X.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
He posted quote, even if I fall, I will rise.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
The Lord is my life.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
And it looks like he cleared his social media of
all things Cowboys, all things, all right, TBD, Even all right,
we're not even just going back to the Penn State.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
We're going. We're not sure where we're.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Coming off the line and hitting quarterbacks for what team,
for what division?

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Phantim.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
This is the situation now that we've gotten into where
we're looking at body language, We're listening to tone, what
people are saying and not saying. Unpack this where we.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Are right now.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Yeah, we're looking at social media posts.

Speaker 9 (06:09):
It's kind of like you know that high school boyfriend
girlfriend drama where you know had MySpace and all of
a sudden they changed your song from All All My
Life by Casey and Jojo to Irreplaceable.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
By Beyond, and you're like, wait, what the heck kids
going on?

Speaker 9 (06:22):
And then you're like, let me talk to the girl,
and then her best friend comes on like she don't
want to talk to you, like you got to talk
to me, like shove it where the sun don't shine,
Like this kind of reminds me of all of that stuff,
and then you start getting offended. You start posting like
stories about self confidence and I don't need you, and
then you're like, this is every single year guys like this.
I'm just that that observer from Afar that I'm looking

(06:44):
at all of this stuff and you're like, oh, Jerry's.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Going through it again.

Speaker 9 (06:48):
You know, Michael's going Jerry's going through it again with
another partner. It was ceed Line before, it was Dak
Prescott before, and he can go all the day back
to Emmett and it's kind of like that, it's just
that time of year.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Do I think that it's an issue.

Speaker 9 (07:01):
I do think it's an issue to what Mike do
you was saying, he hasn't been practicing. And the difference
with those dances with past partners is you don't start
They didn't start off their season with two divisional opponents.
They have the egos first, then you got to come
back and play the giants like that is something if
you are the Dallas Cowboys and you want to start

(07:22):
making noise, like the noise must be made early in
this season because you're going to have two of your
division opponents and when eleven isn't on the field.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Man, I don't know what to say.

Speaker 9 (07:33):
I don't know what type of comfort there is, but
it just seems again LG that when it comes to
this time of year, you start reading all of these
posts online on social media like they're going through it again.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
Well you look at it. Let's look at it like this.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
If we ever thought if the NFL and the organizations
are looking at your social media, they are. This is
a perfect example they're looking at it. So they're looking
at your posts and everything. Let's just make that clear
to everybody they're watching in social media.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
But it's a simple fact of we have agents, right.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
We can't go around as owners going to the players
talking that we should do this, we should do that.
It sounds good to us, but I didn't go to
law school to be kind of represent myself. I'm pretty
sure he didn't either. If he did, he wouldn't have
an agent, so he could have had this conversation talked
to his agent and I'm like, hey, that sounds good.
He's sweet talking, but in reality, the numbers just don't

(08:27):
match up to what they should be. And like you're saying,
when you start off in these first three games of
the season, you still evaluate your team, even though you
have your final fifty three year evaluating and see what's happening.
And it might be like a Christian situation where they
played the first game and how you know what, we
really need him.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
Let's get this number.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Set or to get be like, hey, you know what,
we can live without him.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
We can see what's going on.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
I don't see if personally them doing it, but it's
a good possibility.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
No doubt.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
And while we look at the sound bites and we're
looking at the social media, I'm looking at the calendar.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
The Cowboys a game in thirteen days.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
They have a really really important, challenging game against the
Arrival and We're talking about contracts and shoving and orifices.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
This is insane.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
It's really entered the point now where it's like, all right,
this is real And is there a twinkle in Jerry's
eye or is it just me Like I'm watching him
and I'm like, he's gonna ride.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
This thing out? Why not?

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Eyeballs clicks, whatever you want to call it. This is
a man who, years and years and years ago, before
Michael Parsons was born, allowed Emmett Smith to miss games
in a contract standoff, games in which the Cowboys lost.
And that was a Jerry Jones who had much more
to prove, had proven much much less at that point,

(09:47):
needed Emitt so badly and just stood.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
There and watched it. I think Jerry is enjoying this.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Jerry's chewing scenery, Jerry's improvising, Jerry's rewriting lines.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
I'm watching things.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
We showed their first clip of him talking to Michael Irvin. Well,
we've been referring to this quote. Here's the second clip.
It's very short and it's not pretty, but he's saying
things like.

Speaker 7 (10:10):
This, we won't just send the details to the agent.
The agent, Solder is to stick it up oh, I
will tell me your player.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
It's like it's almost like he's saying that so they
can put it in the trailer for the next documentary.
He's even pausing after the line to have a clear
edit point, just so we're clear, like all right, So
this thing where he says he offered Michael Parson's the
most guaranteed money ever for a defensive player.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Is that true?

Speaker 1 (10:41):
That is anybody else skeptical that that's true? The part
about shoving this and the agent did he say that?

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I don't think that's true.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I think it's you're being bombastic in saying lines and
making content. If you look at the Cowboys right now, like,
are they becoming a media company right in front of us?
Are they becoming a content company where they do football
but like they also do content?

Speaker 4 (11:03):
They do content?

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Maybe first Right now, they have an extremely successful Netflix
Netflix documentary.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
It is at all the.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Top five, top three. Everybody's watching it. Apparently it's fantastic.
It's gonna win awards. Also on Netflix, they have another
show that is.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Really well liked. In its third season.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Jerry is acting in the off Sea's taking acting roles
like it's all content and that's fine, it's twenty twenty five,
But meanwhile, you have a game in thirteen days and
your best player on defense is not out there.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
So I mean, at this point.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
If you were to really really make Jerry choose with
twenty twenty five, Jerry Jones rather win a Lombardi Trophy
or an Academy award, which one is it?

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Like? Which is the priority?

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Because that's great that we have sound bites and we're
shoving things and we're laughing and we're saying all this
and going on pods and starting our show. But when
Jalen Hurts is running around in the opener and Michael
Parsons is not out there because he's stuck in two,
you can point to the Netflix numbers, or you can
point to the scoreboard where you'll be losing. It's a
really fascinating time where I also think Jerry's in this

(12:06):
screwt mode.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
I don't know. I already got three a three Lombardi trophies.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Let's make some stuff. I think he really enjoys it.
It seems to me right now that he likes winning
clicks and winning Netflix more than he likes winning on Sundays.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
And I just think we've gone into the upside down,
I do.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
I just wanted to give that a pause, so we
had to clean edit so then Kyle could post that
as well, because.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Just thick it and then yeah, you can post it.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
It's all good. Don't want to talk over the end
of that.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Take, Kyle.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
What would infuriate me though, is that while Jerry Jones
might be making these intentional decisions about the way he
goes about his life, his business, his organization, the other
characters involved in this are not acting. They are not
out here to win Academy awards. Michael Parsons is trying
to make lifestyle decisions at this point, decisions that will
affect the future of his family and his name and

(12:54):
his legacy. I can assume that the agent who is
apparently having put words put in his mouth because he's
claiming he didn't say things like that to Jerry Jones,
has to be furiated that he is going up against
headlines like this when it comes to the owner of
the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
So while Kyle, I can.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
See your line of thought when it comes to Jerry Jones,
and it's very engaging and obviously it moves the needle,
it has to be. I would say infuriating if you
are other participating party and he's in this scenario. Because
we have Micah Parsons out here, Kyle going to a
social media account, kicking edit, taking the word Cowboys out

(13:30):
and writing TBD, I mean, what does that mean to
you in terms of tracking the way that the other
people feel in.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
This Well, let's just look at the contrast of styles
that we'll see in the opener, Cowboys versus Eagles.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Okay, Howie Roseman.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Signs every player puts together on the.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Most amazing roster. It's business.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
We get the deal done, we bring this guy in,
we resign this guy, and we go to the super Bowl,
we go to several Super Bowls, we win a couple
of Super Bowls, and we.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Do it over the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Cowboys haven't been to a super Bowl since I got
my driver's license. So if you want to just watch
different ways of doing business, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
I don't see Howie Roseman on Netflix. I don't see
him taking roles.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I don't see Jeffrey Lurie doing dramatic roles and improvising
and doing monologues and going on this podcast and that
podcast saying this and that I don't really know the
soundbites from them.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
I know the end results.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
They put together Super Bowl teams, so you pick which
one you want. That seems to be where these two
franchises are going.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Okay, we talk about podcasts.

Speaker 9 (14:27):
I was listening to something about Denzel Washington and I
were talking about He's like, back in his day, you
have to be good at something.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Nowaday, you just have to be eccentric. That's a word.

Speaker 9 (14:37):
Yeah, you got it, Like you just have to be
followed nowadays. And I think that maybe Jerry understands that
where society is like, you just got to be trending,
and he's always trending around this time, and it's not necessarily.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Something that you have to be good at.

Speaker 9 (14:51):
Because the Dallas Cowboys haven't been good at a lot
of things when it comes to football, But what they
have been good at is being on a five a
block on a Friday in August. What is this twenty
second where we're talking about you instead of a highlight
from an actual football game. So I think about what
Denzel Washington said there, and I think about what you
just said, KB, and it all makes sense. Is that

(15:12):
question of Okay, are we trying to get a Super Bowl,
a Lombardi?

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Are we trying to.

Speaker 9 (15:15):
Get an Academy Award or be voted for? When I
click on Netflix, there's two documentaries on there, in the
Dallas Cowboy documentaries, you know. And so it's often hard
to think of the times when I had teammates that
would tell me there are two different types of teams.
There's a business within a football team, and the other
type of team is a football team within the business.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
I think it's clear a year in and year out
where the Dallas Cowboys kind of fall.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Jamie Lawrence, guy you played for I believe half a
dozen organizations in the NFL. You know the inner workings
not only of the business, but about how different teams
go about their business. If you're a player in the
NFL at this point, do you look at the Dallas
Cowboys still and say that is a brand that I
want to be a part of. Or as you watch
these things unfold, do you say to yourself, that seems

(15:59):
like a lot more work than what I even have
to put forth on the field.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
As you know, Cowboys is America's team, and that's what
I think the biggest thing is they.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
Want to say relevant, right, And this is what we're hearing.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
They're telling it, trying to say relevant with certain comments,
certain videos.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
But when he as a.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
Player, this is like a personal thing, right, it's me
against the owner. The owner is telling me one thing,
my agent's telling me another thing. And I don't think
in the history of the NFL that we can really
trust the owners. Right, We're looking at the best infit
of the players. Owners really don't have the best interest
of the players. They have the best insens of their business.

(16:39):
The organization. As we are the modern as gladiator. We
understand that we risk our body out there every single day.
And when we look at this, we're looking at Jerry
Jones looking at one of his top players.

Speaker 6 (16:50):
I'm like, hey, you're going to do this or you're not.
I'm not going to find on line. I'm a worth
and age of mouth, I'm a worth in your mouth.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
We have something that's a gentlemen's agreement that's all characters
in there. So when you look at that as a
follow player and different locker rooms, you're like, I wonder
how the situation they're going to play out.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Let's he's going to stand his ground because at the
end of the day.

Speaker 5 (17:10):
It's just showing ownership that hey, we are people too,
We understand what's going on. We risk our bodies every
single day on that field. Do not disrespect us in
a way where you're going to put words in their mouth.
You're going to treat it certainly, we're going to have
a generous agreement, but it's not fair for us. Don't
say you're doing a good thing for me in reality
when it's a good thing for you.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
It's well said, everybody, all right, that was it. We
made the decision. We went with the Cowboys in the
first seventeen minutes of this show. We have highlights still
to come for preseason Week three, which began last night,
as all players continue to try to prove themselves ahead
of big time decisions that teams have to make next week.
You got a handful of games that you can watch tomorrow.
Obviously you're looking at the Rams and the Browns, but

(17:53):
first you could watch the Cowboys to night if you want,
any of those in game sideline interviews with some characters
that are a part of the organization. And there's your
lineup for Saturday NFL Network preseason slate.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Moving on, as Kyle Mint in the NFC East.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
He's got the Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Commanders, Jackson Dart.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
What are you up to? He continues to impress.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
He's getting along quite swimmingly with the rest of the
quarterback room.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Kyle, Oh yeah, and we're gonna get along swimmingly with
Steelers Panthers highlights.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
Don't worry.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
I know you all tuned in for Panthers rookie Trevor ETN.
We will get to him. Don't worry about that. There
was hijinks.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
There was a few personal fouls going on in this game.
Rogers on the sideline.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Plus, we're gonna go trivia style play at home.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Can you name the player that Lawrence Gutt played with?
Based on a few simple clues?

Speaker 10 (18:40):
Don't go anywhere GMFB, good mom football.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
Let's go to Carolina.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
I thought Steve Smith was excellent on the color commentary.
Rogers sitting out chewing gum, laughing like you always will
have to be playing the opener a met life against
his former team. Trevor ETN. Fourth round rookie out of Florida.
That's Travis's brother. Whoa you know that is? That's Jayalen Ramsey.
Jalen still got the fire and he got the flag
unnecessary roughness for tossing down Trevor etn Jalen, You've been

(19:17):
in a lot of preseason games, but what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (19:20):
All right?

Speaker 6 (19:21):
It's okay.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
I don't mind the passion.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Rather that than the opposite Mason Rudolph. Was he going
to be the start of this year before Riders?

Speaker 6 (19:28):
We don't know not.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Based on that intercepted by Lathan Ransom, who says, get
me back my son.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
That's a rookie out.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Of Ohio State, Laythan Ransom, fourth round pickts this first
interception NFL uniform. They go celebrate preseason game don't count,
but they matter.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
I say it every day. Jack Flummer, not Jake Plummer.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Jack Plummer, undrafted out of Louisville. Intercepted by James Pierre
in the back of the ends of book of this
This is this is Derek Harmon, twenty first overall pick
out of Oregon. Makes the pass rush and that's great, right,
but this sucks.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
Carted off, ruled out with a knee sprain.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
He would come back to the sideline, have a smile
in his face.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
He's laughing.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Maybe that's a good sign. They need him out there
on that D line. Meanwhile, Skyler Skyler Thompson to Lanz
mc cutcheon from Montana State Stevens, we're going to one.
If you care, you don't. Rogers is doing an impression
of it over the head catch. He's laughing, he's smiling.
Nineteen and ten, Who cares? Skyler Thompson eleven or thirteen?
If you care, you don't, But guess what you care about?

(20:28):
Jackson Dart. Jackson start should be his name for this one,
because he was out there. Oh god, they already love him,
or a farming in the pregame as they say, oh no,
not scotta boo, go go, greatest.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Three yard run in the history of the NFL.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Actually make it four yards Jackson Darts, he's gonna throw
there's a flag down?

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Who cares the preseason throw it?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Yes, Cutter Oswsky wearing numbers zero, which is how many
people guarded him on that play.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Dart, Duel Shefski, Dark Chefski. They love it. I love it.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
An absolutely laser that we're breaking down for multiple angles.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Jackson Dart not even close to being done.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Third and six Honey down touchdown, Greg Duel Sitch and
the crowd goes wild with the retro logo in the
end zone.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
We're doing chefs monks. Wow, look at the vertical.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Is that neighbors? Who was that on the right. He
can get up, Russ Wilson give they can give him
a dapt I like it, Jackson, darn't more to pass.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Don't do it?

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Jackson, get down? Get da What are you doing? He
gets a tackled. Oh, come on, Darth. The people already
loved you, the coach already loves you. Probably even the
officials say, hey, Jackson, get down.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
There's a fumble. Did he did he not?

Speaker 1 (21:41):
The fumble canceled out by a Patriots holding penalty table saying.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
Get down, Oh no not the tents are you crazy?
Oh man, here we go.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Jamis Jamis, James Jamis is born to do one thing.
Chuck it interception, touchdown, touchdown. Jalen Hyatt wearing Odell's number thirteen.
Rush Wilson is on the phone. Jamis takes the call.
Look at this, we're making memes. Jamus is eating in.
It's just the most exciting preseason game the Giants' history.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
He scored forty.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Two points to Vito came in and scored three touch
that I didn't even make the highlights. This is incredible.
I think the Giants are going to the super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (22:21):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Here's post games sound from the rook Jackson Dart when
asked if he thought he was ready to start the
regular season, of course he's ready.

Speaker 11 (22:30):
It's like whenever my numbers called it, I'm gonna go
out there and I'm gonna play my game. I'm gonna ball,
And that's just my mindset anytime I touched the field. Obviously,
you know Russ is the starter and he's going to
do amazing. He's had such a great camp and has
played an elite level. So you know, my job is
just be the best teammate and you know, be read
to me whenever it is. But you know, I'm excited

(22:52):
for Russ and what he's gonna do.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
This year, not for notasen Jackson dar being a wired
headphones guy at the podium. It's a good thing to know.
And if you are buying into the Jackson Dart mania,
how he lives his life, that would be something to
put on the list. Now before you start tweeting or
acting the way Kyle Brandt just did during that highlight,
and we understand fully that we have to continuously remind
ourselves that it is preseason.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
However, there's clearly.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Something that is happening in New York, specifically with that
wonderful color Blue Giants fans. If you were living in
your house reading the paper this morning, and we want
to hype them up and say you should ignore that
it's the preseason crowd and you are allowed to be
fired up for twenty twenty five MANSI, how would you
work them through that?

Speaker 4 (23:35):
I would help them out? Yeah, I'll be right, would you,
I'll be sell it. I'm with you. That's what I
would say.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
Is that why we ain't celebrating anymore? I mean, this
is a team that has scored more points than any
team this preseason. Obviously there's twenty eight more teams that
need to play, but right now what they're averaging is
the most so far. It is the most they've scored
per game, and over a decade. They've never gone undefeated
in the preseason since twenty nineteen. Now, for those people
are like, well, in twenty nineteen they went four and

(24:00):
twelve and Pat Shermer got fired.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Okay, yeah he got fired, But did you see what's
happening on the sideline. Did you see who was to
KB this point? That was myleik.

Speaker 9 (24:08):
Neighbors that ran from the sideline to celebrate with Jackson.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Was he in a hoodie?

Speaker 1 (24:12):
KB?

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Or was he in some pads? He was in some
he was a pass he was in pads?

Speaker 9 (24:18):
Like, when's the last time you've seen starters guys who
aren't even playing in pads in the fourth quarter on
a punt where there's a guy that's fighting for a
spot on the roster, shoves the dude through the sideline
and the entire giant sideline.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
Is just going berserk. It's this play right here.

Speaker 9 (24:35):
Like how many guys you see jumping up and down
in pads? I mean you got Brian Burns right there
with a towel over his head and some short of pads.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
Like, how many times do we see.

Speaker 9 (24:45):
Veterans on the sideline with a hoodie on, probably sitting
on the bench eating some sunflower seats? No, this is
not what the giants did last night. Guys, they're out
there hyping each other up. Like this is fourth quarter,
this is the fourth quarter, six oh seven lift in
the game. How do you have veterans starters that don't
have to worry about whether their name is going to
be called or not to make the fifty three. Oh,

(25:06):
they're celebrating with their guys, like celebrating New York fans.
I'm celebrating and I'm not even a New York Giants fan.
So I know that I gave my apology earlier in
the week to the New York Giants fans when I
picked the Jets to win more games than them. I'm
going to celebrate with you on Friday. Guys, this is
something to celebrate. They celebrated with it. So if you're
a New York Giants fan, let's go.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Well, you gotta go look at that.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
It's preseason, the third game, your hype, You're running to
the end zone, you're chairing with your fans, You're chairing
with your teammates. That's what you want to see. You
don't want to see that guy spending sun flow of
seats on the sideline. You want to see those big
plays and big players helping up their teammates.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
But I see you right now. I see a.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
Family being built, and they have built that from the offseason.

Speaker 6 (25:53):
They continued to build.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
It's an amazing building.

Speaker 6 (25:56):
To see this. Yes, preseason, we get it.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
I bet you.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
If they started losing in the whole season, they had
losing preseason, they're going to like, hey, they started in preseason.
Now if they start winning and they started going on
a run, they're like, look, it started in preseason.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
I get it.

Speaker 5 (26:12):
The games don't matter, we understand that, but they do matter.
They matter to everybody in that locker room, My brotherhood
that you're building, that that charisma that you have, the
fans getting in until we know New York is a
hard place to play and they're enjoying every bit of it.
They're gonna have fun, they gonna know it. They're gonna
eat W's on the sideline. That's what you want to see.

(26:33):
You want to see that family every single time, doesn't
matter how serious a game does, matter what the situation is.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
They're cheering on. They're having a great time and geez
like that blower right there.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
I know they. I know they they're sitting there at
home watching it, watching film. You see what we did
last night, Like you saw that. Everybody saw that, because
this is what people are watching. That's what people want
to see. The charisma, the fan of their brotherhood I
don't see anything else more than the team being built
day by day.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
I hear that, man, and I just think, let's try
to be practical here. There's so many things that you
can't really take away from the preseason.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Just focus on the things that you can.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
You can take away the body language, energy and tangibles,
all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
The Giants have it all on the field.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
You want the veterans to look sharp, and you want
their young guys to look promising.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
That's it, and all of those things have been checked.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I think it's a special thing for the Giants fans too, because,
let's be honest, it's been a really tough run, and
it's in particular it's been a really tough.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Run at home. The Giants are bad in home game.
They just have been.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
You get the family that buys the tickets and takes
the kids to the game, and the American dream. It's
expensive as hell. They go there and the Giants just
get the doors blown off. So a preseason game, yes,
a preseason game where they just go forty two points
in the future quarterback and the future running back are
running around and doing memes and.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
High five God bless the Giants. That's a great day.
That is a great day. It's of course you should
be excited about it.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
I lastly, I just think the Giants whole organization, from
the sideline to the stands, has this.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Feeling of kind of relaxed.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
There's no one expecting us to do this do squad
this year, guys, nobody. We are the ugly step child,
and then the Vision and it's the Super Bowl champs
and the up and coming Commanders and the Cowboys circus
and then it's the Giants.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
So let's just go out and have fun. Why the
hell nots this?

Speaker 1 (28:21):
We don't have this pressure on us that we have
to win thirteen games this year. We have some pressure
that we have to put a good product and build
something right now. So I think that shows now I've
said it's this is. We're gonna talk about the Giants
a lot, a lot in September because they got this
stuff going on. Of course, and just if you can
get sick of maybe Jamis is doing a little too
much on camera, you're like, I just can't every time
I can't turn away. That is the fourths dring quarterback

(28:44):
and the second slash THIRSD drink quarterback doing a meme
that should have been humiliating for Jamis, and he's turned
it into a literal money maker and it's a very
funny image. That's the Giants right now. I can point
out some other teams. Let's put it this way.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
The Giants are scoring forty two points at home.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
They got all their players out there and they're eating
w's and making us laugh.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
The cow Boys owner.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Is on a podcast of a player from thirty years ago,
saying he tells the agent to stuff this blank up
is bleep and their best players out there.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
Like, who do you want to throw in with right now?
You know what I mean? Like? This is the if
you were going to hand out some kind of awards
for best energy.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Best positivity, maybe on the upswing going to the season,
you give it to the Giants.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Now that could mean that they start zero and four.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
I don't know yet. I have to put it on
that they have a tough schedule. It's really tough. But
I like where they're going. And if you're a Giants fan,
how are you not excited right now?

Speaker 6 (29:35):
KB?

Speaker 9 (29:36):
This is a real question. Is the New York Post
excited right now? When you came in and you flip
that bad boy over what is on the back side,
because I if it's the Mets again, I don't know
what else to say.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
You gotta have something on there. So I've been doing
this daily barometer with the New York Post.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
The front page of the Post is hard news, it's
usually awful, but the back page is whatever the New
York media deems is the biggest story. So home game
last night, forty two points, Jackson Dart blowing everybody out,
scoring points, and we have the Yankees. The Yankees lost
to the Red Sox, guys bumber of George. It was
Costanza night at Yankee Stadium. Four airs, nine walks. We

(30:17):
will get to the point. Now, look at this, we
have all the way at the top, Dart, thrills and
first start, but it is in again postage stamp compared
to this terrible looking for Laurn Yankees team. We'll get
there eventually, and we will know on this show when
the Giants have really arrived because they will take the
page from the Mets and Yankees.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
But until then it's still the Yanks.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
I feel like we need a red alert button when
you do that flip and it is the Giants, and
dare I say the Jets then get the postage stamp treatment.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Who knows, We.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Will keep tracking it and everything else on GMTB. Listen up,
those who are engaging in their fantasy draft this week
or the next ten.

Speaker 9 (30:52):
Days or what have you.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Before the kickoff, themer Gibbs is getting a ringing endorsement
about how he's going to play this season. You're gonna
want to hear what's up with the game's planning in
the MotorCity.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Next on our show will be you right back.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
Football?

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Who's that guy? Who's that guy?

Speaker 2 (31:20):
No matter how you say it, We're still going to
play the game, and you've got to make a good
guess of it. We of course love to make segments
out of our co host names who stopped by the table,
So in honor of Lawrence Guy being at the table,
we are going to ping it over to him and
he is going to host a round of.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Who is that guy?

Speaker 2 (31:35):
And we all get three clues about former teammates of
Lawrence Guy, which again longtime player in the NFL, currently
available to some. I think if you have to file
the paperwork just in case you know, Lawrence.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Set us up. Kyle goes first. I thinking them myself
the mantai. So you're up.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Go ahead, Lawrence become the game show host.

Speaker 6 (31:53):
All right, who's that guy? Guy in ten? We're going
to copyright this, won't put it in in there. We'll
make it happen. Game show, go hi, KB Who with
this guy? Play with him? On the Patriots? He said
a career high sacks.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
In twenty twenty four, he married former myths You told
you who's that guy?

Speaker 1 (32:16):
I know this one and it was the third one
that cluded me off because I know that he has
a wonderful marriage and a lovely wife who's a very
cool lady.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
This is a friend of the show. This is Kyle
van Noy, is it not?

Speaker 6 (32:28):
Ye?

Speaker 5 (32:31):
Van Noy never stops me and Kyle go way back.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
I was his host in college.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Awesome.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Yeah again, I think I got my host in Purchip
took him away.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
Because after that, and again he didn't go there, and
you know he went to hold it in school. It
wasn't all.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
Don't blame me, I blame the state. It's just that's
what it is. But he's an amazing person. He shows
it doesn't matter how old you wore when you're playing
in the league. If you go out there and you
play hard.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
You make some stuff.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Yeah, alright, let's go.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
Let's go, James, we got We've got who's that guy?

Speaker 5 (33:08):
We're back at this pay play together on the Patriots again.
He's a four time Pro bowler right recently signed with
the Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
Who's that guy?

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Oh Man?

Speaker 2 (33:21):
The only Dolphins name that I have recently signed with
is Darren Waller. But I don't think he's a four
time pro bowler, and I don't think he ever played
for the Patriots. Four time Pro bowler?

Speaker 6 (33:33):
Who's that guy?

Speaker 3 (33:36):
Recently signed with the Dolphins?

Speaker 5 (33:39):
Played together on the Patriots. I can give you another hit. Wait,
play together when we went up with the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Oh recently signed with the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
We're going way recent We're going like Judan just signed
with the Dolphins. No, it's.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
I was like that was the off season. I was
racking my off season brain. But mister red Sleeves is
in South Beach now.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
One hundred percent. You gotta love Jude on the effort
that he be. He'd be giving people forget. We play together,
played with each other when he was a rookie with
the Ravens. Talent since he was young coming in that
first training camp. You knew somebody special, that Matt dud
JUDEI with the red sleep.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Oh man, that was well, I mean that happened like
three days ago, didn't it. So she's I was going
back in free agency march.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Okay, okay, come on out with you. I'm also you know,
let me guess you come on.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
All right, man, ty me and this guy played together
on the coats, graduated.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
In university. Hadn't noted all pursue a career in boxing.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
I know that's mantis Soon. I mean, the only one
who I and went to Notre Dame and boxes. I
didn't know he played folds, is this simmy?

Speaker 6 (35:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 6 (35:14):
Yeah, you talking about a career right there.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
You're going to retired, then go in the box at
one physical sport to another physical sport.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
That the test. The type of player he was on
the field, aggress up and ready to rock somebody.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
That's nice box Champ, baby Champ.

Speaker 10 (35:36):
Let's go Zibby Zippy all right way around two now, okay,
love it, let's do it, come on round.

Speaker 6 (35:44):
Who's that guy? All?

Speaker 4 (35:45):
I hope Zibowski again? I got I love Zibokowski again.

Speaker 5 (35:52):
But we're going back to this play together on the
Patriots again.

Speaker 6 (35:56):
You know, we're going to know all the other teams
that played for We're going.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
Tom bras a critical path break and Super Bowl fifty two.

Speaker 6 (36:07):
Yeah, think about that. He only played in the playoffs
once in his career. Who is that guy? A man?

Speaker 1 (36:19):
We're going to go to the back of the end zone.
The pass is going to be intended for Brandon Cooks
and then our brother, our friend, a guy who I
really wish was with us on the show joining us.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
It's Jason mccordy.

Speaker 5 (36:34):
Yeah, yeah, my guy, Jason. Crazy thing about it. Jason
is one of the golf other and one of my children.
Him and his wife. Awesome person. But when we talked
about the biggest Playton.

Speaker 6 (36:49):
Super Bowl, it's a lower scoring super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
But that played right there, It's like, who's had the
ball in his hands? If you see he had the
ball and Jason was able to knock that out. You
talking about that right there with the play. I don't
care if there's a lot of stuff happened in that game,
but without that, we ain't win it.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Unfortunately, for that highlight, I think I think that was
Devin with his child touching the Lombardy.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
But that's a trick. Why don't you give me Devin Lawrences,
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
Editorial claier for you should look at that again.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Maybe at the end of the segments, look at that again,
because that's Jason's sun, all right, But anyway, maybe the.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Next gives of the way I just know him by
the nap was going to get one wrong, right, Yeah,
can I give.

Speaker 6 (37:31):
Me all right? Here we go, we're switching it. We
play together on the coach.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
He named the NFL's one Hunter's Anniversary All Time team.
He holds an if A record for most career points score.
Who's that guy?

Speaker 2 (37:48):
So a kicker because those guys always, those guys.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
Always hold the record for I just saw. I feel
like they do.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Yeah they do.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Oh I can see his face because honestly, McAfee just
posted a photo like a throwback photo and this guy
was in it and the name I can see it.
Oh my gosh, she's gonna drive me crazy.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Yeah, go go, you know, I know, I can see
a round face like.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
And it's night. Yeah, listen.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
People remember him as a Patriot, but he actually played
much longer on the cold.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
Thank you God. The name was escaping to me. Thank
you Minitary.

Speaker 6 (38:30):
Literally I should have put the hand. He was really
old Odin and Tom Brady when he played.

Speaker 5 (38:36):
Yeah, this is one of those aged well. He aged well.
The crazy thing is I'm never going to that valley
and ended up at one of his uncles winery.

Speaker 6 (38:50):
Nice. This is amazing. Could couldn't be the best one
I've had right there?

Speaker 1 (38:59):
Uh, I love that we're showing him in that Super
Bowl too, Bears called super Bowl in the rain, very
rarely played that way. He of course had the opening
kickoff that was returned for a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
People don't remember this.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
The Advitary also missed an extra point in that game,
which was like unheard of at the time. But who's next, man, time,
let's go LG.

Speaker 6 (39:18):
Let's go. Who's that guy we played together on the charger?

Speaker 5 (39:23):
Who's that guy?

Speaker 6 (39:31):
Who's that guy he doesn't like?

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Is it this guy? Good money? Let's go, Let's go, LG.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (39:49):
Those are the man When we were there, it was amazing.
We understand everything that was going on. But you can't
your head high. You played, you did everything you could
like you can't expect another young guy coming in the
league understanding what's going going on.

Speaker 6 (40:04):
But hey, you could google yourself. I don't do it,
but we all do it, Okay.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 9 (40:13):
Yeah, those are good days, but it's it's days I
often look.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
Back on and reflect on and I miss him, you
know what I.

Speaker 9 (40:19):
Mean, Especially with San Diego now the Chargers now being
in l A, I get to go over there and see.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
A lot of old faces there. So I appreciate that.
Olgi Man, that was good fun, good job, Lawrence.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
I don't trust you.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
If I don't trust you. If you have a fence
ton why I don't know. You got too much time
on your hands. It's like I don't trust you.

Speaker 6 (40:39):
If you don't eat hot wings.

Speaker 4 (40:42):
Can't true that first. If you wear socks and sandals
