ahead of Steelers Vikings. It's Sunday Morning Football happening not far.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
From where we're at.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
The Steelers guys, they've arrived, the Vikings players, they're in town.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
We have a lot to discuss ahead of this game.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Kyle, what else do we have on a GMFBBG Friday.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Well, the Steelers are in Dublin. The Eagle has landed
here in New York City. It is BG Friday. We
got Brandon Graham here, the double Nichols. We're gonna talk
about the game brand.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
How are you feeling, baby man.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
I'm feeling good.
Speaker 6 (00:43):
Got my Tigers own, you know, they got back into
the win Colum and right now I'm just excited, excited
to talk ball.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Unless anyone doesn't know that Tigers are a baseball team
that is not a Cincinnati Bengals hat. We've see tail
with the Irish froc's stand back. We see all kinds
of stuff to talk about.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
We're going to do it now. Good Morning Football on
a Friday.
Speaker 7 (01:01):
Let's roll.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Welcome to Good Morning Football presented by Old Trapper.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Hey, it's men't I mean, because she's in a different continent.
Everyone's just sitting there staring waiting for me to talk.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
You guys think that's funny in La it is. We
don't know. We thought you didn't come off the top roco.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
It's one of these days, I will guys Jamie hopefully,
thank god, we'll be joining us later.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
But you know what we had last night.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
We had a Seahawks Cardinals divisional matchup that started slow.
I understand, it ended incredibly. It ended dramatically. We're going
to go right into the highlights right now and they
will talk about everything.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Here. It is on the.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
John Seahawks Cardinals, Sam Darnold looking sharp early, Kyler Murray.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
One of the biggest.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Storylines that's been young Marvin Harrison Junior, his second year
wide receiver, who has.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Been in kind of a fog. It has not been
going well. And then this was just bizarre.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
You're going to see the interception from Kyler, but I
don't know if you put this on Kyler because watch
the second angle at the top of your screen.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Marvin harestr he's running across. It just kind of stops,
and Kyler.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Doesn't think he's going to These two went out on
the same page. They weren't even in the same book.
And you see these far away stairs. That's been the
story is so far. Meanwhile, Sam Darnald's that's fine. I'm
going to go to a j. Barner six six, two
fifty out of Michigan, big old tight end that is
his second touchdown of the year, and could throw by
Darnald second quarter.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Now Carlos have a field goal, and look at this.
I mean, this is not a rookie receiver.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
This is not week one, and again not the same
page book, volume series library. And again the stairs on
the sideline. They can't seem to make it work.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
But hold on.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
More of this now, Marvin Harris and guys, this is
getting sad a little bit here in this game because
Tyler puts this right on the money and young Harrison
Junior bobbles it, loses it and it's picked off. We
see these young guys sometimes threat they can't find their way.
B G.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
They can't find me a way.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
But you know, as the game go, you gotta continue
to talk to me.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
In the park.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
You do, and there's gonna be a better ending for them. Meanwhile,
Darnold looking he's taken off. He out the door from
usc why not slides a great run by Sam Daland
who looked calm and efficient for most.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Of the night. This is a nasty run right here.
What's Sharvion a stumps up with the goal line, big
old linement.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Help has kind of a late just pushed it into
a convention like the Eagle to go with the old
fashioned WAYVG, Hey, that.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
Have a great battle, whole lineman to come in and
put the movie.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
We love that fourth quarter. Now, I told you this
game will meet off. I promised. It's currently seventeen to
six Sharvion eight with a nasty little move. But wats it?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
It's gonna get called back in a penalty by Jackson
Smith and Jig Mood doesn't drive by in the official
right rock the official? But you talking to me like
that when I'm at fight, Because he had a lot
of things to say. All right, Kyler, there's five minutes left.
You guys have six points? Can you give me something?
Speaker 5 (04:10):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (04:10):
He can? Who is it?
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Marvin Harrison Junior? Look at that he just stays down.
That's emotion, right.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
That's real.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
That's emotion for sure.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
This guy's fighting through something between the ears, maybe in
his heart, and he makes a huge play over the Seahawks'
best corner. So now they got something going. Twenty to thirteen.
Sam Darnld trying to put this thing away five minutes
left on the road, trying to win against Arizona like
they usually do, Smith and Jig, But this is a
ten out of ten throw from Donald, a beautiful throw
over the shoulder, and watch the catch and the footcher.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
We'll see it again on the replay.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Meanwhile, Seahawks can put this away with a field goal
and an actual miss of a field goal from fifty
plus in twenty twenty five. It's incredible. God, those en
zones are beautiful too, all right, So the Arizona has
life now.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
JSN can't believe it. I can't either. Really. Everybody makes
the kitchen on a fourth and fourth fourth in the game.
Look how ugly this play this, but that it works.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
All of a sudden, Michael Wilson just puts his hand up,
his head wouldn't even turned around the ball and was
hit him at the massive play that extends the drive. Okay,
six plays later, one sixteen remaining, Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Junior.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
I told this thing would turn around again.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Going as with us putting the best cover corner in Seattle.
And now thirty three seconds, thirty two seconds, we're gonna
throw it out to our third down back, Amar de
Mercado from Inglewood, California, guys.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
And he's scored it. Now.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
The problem is they scored really fat. They left over
thirty seconds left in the clockers I think was a
big mistake. And then it gets weird. Arizona kicks off.
You're gonna see this thing bounce around and you're going
to see a flag.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
I'm going to explain why in great detail shortly, the
ball out of this coming short of the twenty or
the landing.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
Zone with it.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Santa gets the ball on the forty with.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Twenty three seconds in a time out the forty yard line,
so you know what happens next, we go up, we
get a completion. That's Chanst again, who played a great
second half, and.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
We're already cooking.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Four seconds left now, Myers, and this the last peel,
go fifty two yards.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
See you later.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Let's go home. Seahawks win twenty three to twenty a
game that got cooking very fast, Harrison more slow motion reactions,
Darnald mixtory formation. But again twenty three to twenty Seahawks
three and one now in the division, and we have
to talk about the end of the game, and we will.
But afterwards we've heard from Sam Darnald and it visibly
(06:30):
frustrated Kyler Murray.
Speaker 8 (06:32):
Now at two and two, it was just all right,
here we go.
Speaker 9 (06:36):
I'm gonna, you know, get ready for two minute warm
up and just treat it like practice. I think that's
at the end of the day, Like when you get
in those two minute situations. We run through those situations
so much in practice, so you know, at the end
of the day, that's that's all I.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Can do, is just be me.
Speaker 9 (06:50):
Our guys go out there and not not do too
much and just do whatever the play is called, and
then if we got to make an adjustment from there,
we go from there.
Speaker 10 (06:56):
We got to be better.
Speaker 11 (06:57):
He knows that.
Speaker 10 (06:58):
I know that whole offense understands that we got to
start faster and give and play better confling football because
right now it's just it's you know, it's two all
over the place, and it's it's not good enough. Haven't
put four quarters together as a unit, you know, to
go out there and dominate. And you see the flashes.
But like like I said, it's.
Speaker 11 (07:15):
Just margin for ers just so small.
Speaker 10 (07:18):
So we got to be better.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
You can tell Kyler's frustrated. It was a great night
in Arizona. The uniforms, the end zones, the pageantry were
all amazing. The Cardinals down seventeen to three, getting booed
with six minutes remaining, and then they came running and
this game was there to win, and they just let
slip through their fingers like sand through the hourglass. Mat
Ti Tayo, you're watching this game really felt like a
(07:40):
pivotal divisional matchup early when you're watching, especially the ending.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
What were your takeaways?
Speaker 12 (07:45):
Our biggest takeaway is I thought it looked like the
rams Rus Eagles for a little bit where it looked
like they're going to run away with it, and then
just like the rams Rus Eagles, it became a really
competitive game in the end. My biggest takeaway from last night,
guys is, honestly, and I don't say this jokingly, is
Marvin Harrison Junior.
Speaker 11 (08:01):
Okay, Like, that's that's.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
What I really want to know.
Speaker 12 (08:03):
Like, when you watch him play this game, there was
a look in his face where he is almost just blank,
like he's physically there, but mentally he's just not there.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Now that's concerning for me.
Speaker 12 (08:13):
Why because I'm a player that for a lot of
my NFL career there wasn't a lot of confidence there
and I played like straight dog food for three years
and so you could have all the abilities in the world,
and Marvin Harrison Junior has a million times more abilities
than I ever will have or did have back in
the day.
Speaker 11 (08:31):
But when you saw him in his head like that.
Speaker 12 (08:34):
That's what I saw for three and a half or
we saw for three and a half quarters. And then
he caught that touchdown and the celebration I think you
could call it a celebration. It was almost like a
relief for him to be so emotional in the end
zone and to just take it in like, man, finally
I got that one.
Speaker 11 (08:49):
Guys.
Speaker 12 (08:49):
That's not only was that a big play for Arizona,
but that was a big play for Marvin Harrison Junior
because he just looked different after that he started to
catch the ball he started to look like that guy
out of Ohio State that made all of those spectacular catches, that.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Was confident even in his route running. I watched him
for three and a half quarters.
Speaker 12 (09:07):
Guys just kind of lollygag himself, really not be very
sudden in his routes, and all of a sudden, this
touchdown happens, and then there's just this urgency in.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
His route running. So I hope that he's well mentally.
Speaker 12 (09:20):
He has all the physical gifts to be one of
the best receivers in this game, but mentally, I hope
that he's able to continue this momentum that he had
when he caught that touchdown pass.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Isail Well, you're talking about Harrison.
Speaker 8 (09:32):
I'm gonna say Old McDonald h had a defense.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
They are called the Seahawks, and.
Speaker 8 (09:37):
Then these guys are absolutely balling out on the defensive
side of the ball for the Seahawks.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
We knew he came to.
Speaker 8 (09:43):
Seattle because of his defensive prowess as a decoordinator out
there in Baltimore, but now his defense is exactly.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
What he wants it to be. The defensive line for Seattle.
Leonard Williams, Daron.
Speaker 8 (09:53):
Reed, DeMarcus Lawrence Byron Murphy. These are big fellas. Right
when you got these big boys up front, Like I know,
our boy BG understands the respects. You can do whatever
you want. Defensively, these guys.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Were able to to get to Kyler Murray.
Speaker 8 (10:06):
They were able to put it down six times on
the ground.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
They were able to get.
Speaker 8 (10:09):
Back there and pressure him thirteen times. They forced him
to have two takeaways. Throwing the ball forty one times.
That means that there was no run game.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Matter of fact, they only allowed eighty nine yards on
the ground, forty one of which we're from Kyler Murray
scrambling around.
Speaker 8 (10:21):
This defense is literally stifling, and you see it on
your screen right there.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
They're gonna be a problem.
Speaker 8 (10:26):
Not only were they a problem for Arizona, but anybody
else who decides that they want to face the Seahawks.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
They better rebuckle up.
Speaker 11 (10:31):
The chin straps.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Brandon, what do you think man? Watching this game?
Speaker 12 (10:35):
Man?
Speaker 6 (10:35):
You know what, I've seen two teams going at it,
but the situational football, the Cardinals definitely didn't win in
that situation. They've been losing these games at the last
minute field goals off mistakes that they've made. They just
got to get better. I feel with the situational ball.
I know Jonathan Gannon, he's definitely talking to them in
that room right now in the team meeting room, talking
(10:58):
to them saying, hey.
Speaker 5 (10:59):
We got to get better.
Speaker 6 (11:00):
We got to close these games out because, like you said,
not getting it to the twenty yard line and making
them start on the forty that's just giving them the game,
especially with thirty seconds left.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
We can't have those mistakes.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Well, let's get.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
More into the details of this, because Brandon, you're all
over it. I think maybe this morning there's what we
used to call like a water cooler factor where people
around the country are talking about the term landing zone
and kickoff rules. Let's get into this because Arizona ties
the game up. The place is on their feet, it's loud,
it's crazy, it's twenty to twenty.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
And then on the ensuing kickoff this happens. Let's go
to the video table.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
So when they kick off, the ball is going to
land short of the twenty yard line. Watch this a
normal kickoff and they're trying to kick it short deliberately.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
But guys, the rule is right now, this is the facts.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
If the ball lands short of the twenty and the kickoff,
meaning the twenty one, the twenty two that's coming to
the forty yard line. It doesn't matter where it bounces,
it doesn't matter where it ends up. It comes out
to the forty, it's hugely punitive. So this happens last
night and the Seahawks make a few plays and basically
the game is over. So I understand, like we're talking
(12:08):
before the show, we're trying to understand it ourselves exactly,
and we followed football because this happened in real time.
The reason they're doing this, and they were doing it
all night, and teams are doing it all over the
league is because if you just blasted into the end
zone or like they did for years, and you just
blast it through the in line, it's also hugely punitive.
It's coming out of the thirty five yard line. So
(12:30):
what you don't want is you don't want.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Them to start at the thirty five.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
You want them to catch it, you know, on the
ten or the five, and then you go down and
tackle them. This is the mistake that they made last night.
All night, they're kicking it past the twenty and they're
it's kind of like a golf shop. You're trying to
get to the land on the green. Well, he was
short of the green, and it's really a massive, massive
play by the kicker. You've got to get it to
the twenty because now it's just like you almost gave
(12:53):
the gameway. I thought herbturd on the call was he
was staggered by the fact it goes to the forty.
It really is emotionally tough. Bring up the rules right now.
This is where we are at with kickoffs. Ok, it's
very simple.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Now, where is it?
Speaker 1 (13:06):
If it lands short of the twenty that is the
landing zone the twenty, or it goes out of bounds,
that thing's coming out to the forty damn yard line.
If you blast it out of the end zone thirty
five yard like, both of those scenarios are terrible. Now,
if it lands in the landing zone, meaning from the
goal line of the twenty, and then rolls into the
end zone, you got to run it out or it's
getting spotted at the twenty.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
This is where we're at.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
I almost want to look at the class and say,
are there any questions? Because I wouldn't mind if there were.
I will just say this. If you're saying what are
we doing landing zone?
Speaker 4 (13:37):
This looks so weird.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
According to CBS Sports, last year, kickoff which will return.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
Thirty two percent of the time.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
This year so far, they're seventy seven percent of the time.
We're getting kick returns, we're getting tackles on kick returns.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
It's all working. So if you wanted more kickoffs, it's happening.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
The problem is last night, when you're Arizona and you
have this great comeback, the kickoff line becomes a hugely
important play. You cannot let it land on the twenty
one yard line or you are completely cooked.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
La your thoughts, Yeah, no.
Speaker 12 (14:09):
This is something that Isaiah actually had an issue with
before the season even started, and we had the opportunity
to ask some questions about the ruse in. Isaiah asked, man,
there's so many different scenarios and things that we have
to be aware of now about Okay, where does the
ball hit?
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Okay, we have to make.
Speaker 11 (14:23):
Sure that it's here.
Speaker 12 (14:24):
So I think it's It's definitely something situationally that they
have to be addressed for a lot of the players,
and we saw it two weeks now with the Steelers
during what they did where the rookie ran out of there,
the opposing team recovered the ball in the end zone
and that was a touchdown for the posing team. So
there's so many different rules that have to be aware of.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Now there's a lot of curveball. That's somebody who was
a former kick returner in the league. Trust me. There's
a lot to think about now.
Speaker 8 (14:47):
The ball can come out to the twenty, the ball
can come out to the thirty five, the ball can
come out to the forty yard line. And that's not
even all the different situations. If the balls kicked towards
the sideline, if you put one foot out of bound,
you become an extension of out of bounds.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
The ball comes out to the forty. So there's so
much to think about now.
Speaker 8 (15:01):
I know that they're improving the game in certain aspects,
but as you make alterations to the game, and as
you add rules and elements, you're slowing down the ability
just to be able to play and play fast, which
I know ultimately is what they're trying to get to
as well, is just give and take.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
They'll get this thing and solidified at some point they'll adjust.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Personally, I find it way more interesting do not forget
twenty minutes ago.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
What it feels like.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
You would sear any kickoff and it just goes into
the fifth throw every single time. You would not see
kick returns. You would not even see guys catching it
and taking a knee and just go over there.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
It was perfunctory. It was boring.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
I find this way more interesting. It did burn the
Cardinals last night, though. Let's talk about news right now
in our great National Football League.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Tomol Seros standing by Tom.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
We're just sinking our teeth into kickoff minutia and I
find it fascinating.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
I know it's wheelhouse for you too. How's it going.
Speaker 13 (15:48):
Let's talk quarterbacks, Kyle, for just a little change of
tex Us right now, Smart in New York with Jets
quarterback Justin Fields, who returned to practice a full participant
on Thursday and, barring a setback, does appear to be
trending towards returning to action Monday night against the Dolphins.
He by virtue being a full participant. That means he
(16:08):
is now in phase four of the five phase return
to play concussion protocol. The last step in that is
that he needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist.
Still several days for that to happen. As of right now,
Fields is still in the proto call, but again boring
a setback, appears that he will be back on the field.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
On Monday night.
Speaker 13 (16:28):
Brought Perbe could be back as well for the forty
nine Ers. Remains limited in practice because of a left
shoulder and more importantly, a toe injury that kept him
out in the past couple of weeks. But Perty told
reporters yesterday, I really like where I'm at the progress
with the healing up and feeling better and dropping back
and throwing. Coach Kyle Shanahan on local radio said, I
(16:48):
think he's feeling it better every day and if that continues,
he should be good on Sunday. The status of Commander's
quarterback Jayden Daniels remains more clouded. Sat out last week
because of a knee sprain. He continues to be limited
in this dan Quinn has made clear from the start
Daniels is only going to go if.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
He can do everything.
Speaker 13 (17:10):
So as much as Jane Daniels would like to play
on Sunday against the Falcons, this is going to be
strictly a medical decision. If Daniels is not cleared, if
he can't do everything. It would be another start for
Marcus Mariota. We're also worth keeping an eye on wide
receiver Terry McLaurin and running back to Corey Krosskey Merritt.
Both did not practice the past two days. Mclaurin's status
(17:34):
in particular remains very much in doubt for Sunday, Come Nails.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Tom, I appreciate you always find it interesting the role
that the backup quarterback to play. Marcus Mariota and Mac
Johnes both playing well. Maybe that doesn't add any more
urgency to the starters returning, but Tom, I know when
they do, you will be all over it.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Meanwhile, perfect segue.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Carson Wentz starting for the Minnesota Vikings as JJ McCarthy
for three apps from Misery the Steelers on the Vikings.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
Look how beautiful this, says Brandon Graham.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
I just want to go running in those fields, Doule
one place from golf.
Speaker 5 (18:03):
Now, real nice out there.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
It doesn't look nice and beautiful. We got flowers and rugby.
Somewhere there's a pot of gold, and somewhere there's Jamie
Rdol in Dublin. She's gonna report back, Johnny Boxes. That
looks like a hang you want to go to Johnny
Box's me James.
Speaker 11 (18:18):
Oh yeah, that lived good?
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Anti.
Speaker 12 (18:20):
What else we got? Plus, we've got the game of
the weekend. Guys, it's a heavyweight matchup between the Eagles
and the Buffs and Tampa. You have a guest coming
through none other than the safety Antoine Winfield Junior is
jimff on a Friday.
Speaker 11 (18:34):
There's nothing like it. Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
Good morning, all right.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
We just need to get beef up the New York
studio just a little bit more. We are thrilled to
have our next guest back in studio. He was an
anchor and the Saints and Dolphins offensive line for twelve years.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Let's welcome our friend, Tron Armstead.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
What's up here?
Speaker 4 (19:02):
How doing? Come on? Get this? I feel like the
Gee's and the sandwich right now. I love you.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Got we got home line, We got dlight Like you
guys have battled before, you have thrown hands like, what
is this like.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
To be back together? Should I just back out of here?
Let you go ahead? It come on?
Speaker 5 (19:17):
Nah, Nah, we ain't in that type of shape no moment.
It's all about it's trying to get trying to get
right on TV.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
We showed up, we got our we got our bunny
shirt on. We look good when you get up this
morning and I love it. You're like, this is the
shirt this and it looks great.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
How'd you choose that one?
Speaker 14 (19:34):
I'm in the fashion you know, the big dogs. We
can we can put it on for real, put it together.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
So just throwing a little meery shirt, you know what
I mean? Great? All right, Brandon, let's get to it.
What do you want to hear from this?
Speaker 11 (19:47):
Then?
Speaker 5 (19:48):
You know what I want to go. I want to
go back to our battles, you know.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
I want I want to see through over the years,
like how if they got some highlights, you know, to
see how we how we.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
We have some highlights of these two slapping heads and
all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
What do we have twenty eight? All right? Talk through this, guys.
Oh no, what do you mean what I already know
what's going on?
Speaker 1 (20:08):
What?
Speaker 4 (20:09):
Oh y'all?
Speaker 13 (20:10):
Wow?
Speaker 6 (20:14):
No, you know that on this one they got the
ball back right here, and we won.
Speaker 11 (20:20):
The game, and they won the game.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
The game won the game, the game this was right here.
Speaker 14 (20:24):
To give you all my excuses. Yeah, let's let's so
I was out for the last six weeks. Pick my
first action. It's early in the game.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
B G with a real nice rush.
Speaker 11 (20:35):
I'm looking for a power rush.
Speaker 14 (20:37):
He got me, but I was I was playing the game.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Yeah this game, let's go for sure? Went on to
the NFC Championship. You know what I mean? So so
on the way this usually goes, guys, and I hope
we're going to go this way?
Speaker 1 (20:47):
You show an unflattering play for our guess and then
you turn around and you show a really good one
with Were he pancakes this guy?
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Do we have anything? Or are we just moving on?
Speaker 14 (20:55):
I locked him up to now, let's not forget that
crickets coming to I'm waiting on that clip right there.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Here's you get, have you, Isaiah? Take us somewhere more positive.
They did you dirty, bro, I'm gonna let you know
that right now. They did you bad on that.
Speaker 8 (21:12):
But listen, I know we're talking about the trenches in
y'all battling going ahead to head as the offensive tackle,
you know what's like to go against a defensive end
that wants to.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Get with it.
Speaker 8 (21:23):
Michael Parsons is going to Detail this week and going
against his old team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
What can they expect from that dude?
Speaker 8 (21:31):
And have you ever had any situation where you want
to get somebody who may have had a little extra motivation.
Speaker 14 (21:35):
Yeah, I can expect Michael Parsons to be playing like
a man possessed this weekend. He has a lot to
not necessarily prove. He wanted to show those people in
Dallas that they made.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Their own decision.
Speaker 14 (21:46):
He had to go somewhere to find his worth and
his value and they have to pay for it. So
he'll have steam coming out of helping while he's in
his stance. I do have a story against a guy,
Trey Hendrickson or teammates in New Orleans, and we had
our battles and we even got into it a few times.
So when we seen each other, he was in Cincinnati,
I was in my ami. Trey wanted to take my
head off, like no question. He screamed at me during
(22:09):
the game, he said, run, this.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
Is for my legacy.
Speaker 11 (22:18):
So that game was not fun for me.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
How did it go? Like you got it? We didn't.
We didn't win the game. I played pretty well.
Speaker 14 (22:23):
He got me one time player numbers off the front
of my jersey.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
I'm surprised that our staff doesn't have the video of
it for you to break down. Right now, I'm beating
you right now. I'm still I still want to play
so badly.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Off you crushing somebody.
Speaker 11 (22:36):
It's all good.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
We gotta find one.
Speaker 14 (22:37):
By the end of the segment, Kyle, I'm putting up
my own highlights today, blocking bging man.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Time block them off. Yeah, that's what put me on that.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
I'll help that thing, because my goodness, this is a
great guy and a great player.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
Here's Brandon just clowning a man getting ye know, that's
my bro. That's that's my dog, Tron.
Speaker 12 (22:57):
You know I'm your oose, but you also have another
oo oos for those who don't know, OOS is slang
for USO, which means brother and song. I'm on and
so I know he has another oose named Tool. That's
both of our guys. The Dolphins are zero and three,
but he said yesterday that they're tired of talking about
it and they need to get better. When you look
at this offense, what do you think is going on
(23:17):
with them right now?
Speaker 14 (23:18):
They've had their early struggles, mostly in turnovers and late
game situations. Their situational football has not been cleaned at
all the operation getting out of the huddle and then
execution in late game situations. We have seen the last
two weeks for them to be able to get in
the rhythm, start to move the ball down the field
and score points, but ultimately then wasn't able to come
(23:39):
up with the W. I see Monday night them being
able to execute early. Let's get a fast start. Let's
stay away from the turnovers and get a big win
to jump start this season the right way.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
You're good on TV, man, You're good on TV. You
really are. I'm sitting here listening to you.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
You watch the league, you know all about this, just
like I'm just gonna add lib.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
Look around the league right now.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
What is the team maybe that really impresses you, and
what's the team like I'm concerned about them.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
Take a time just talk it.
Speaker 14 (24:04):
Yeah, a team that really impressed me right now. Actually
Philly man talk. It's safe to go because they're defended champions.
But they just find a way to win. And no
matter what what style of football you want to play,
we can be run heavy, we be past heavy, the
defensive battle, looking the office, in offensive explosion.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
They just find a way to win. I saw it
trying to because he's right here. No, I know that,
but listen, I'm gonna go back at you. Drew Brees
was out there talking. We love Drew.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
We just showed him in one of the clips and
he was saying. He was saying, you know, I respect Philly,
but like, I can't stand to watch them playoffense.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
It's so boring. I'm paraphrasing, but like, what did both
of you guys think of that?
Speaker 6 (24:38):
Well, you know, I took it as a little shot,
but I understood because as for me as a player,
that's motivation right there to go out there and get
it done. And I know jailing those guys and coach
KP is in there, you know, trying to make sure
whatever happened the second half of that Rams game, that
we're gonna start it off and just keep it keep
building from there. And uh, I'm excited because I think
the sea Bow definitely need to be taken off.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
But I understood exactly.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
What you what you think of that? Yeah, I understand
what Drew saying as well.
Speaker 14 (25:05):
But it doesn't have to be flashy, doesn't have to
have exotic motions and the big expo explosive players. They're winning,
they're winning games, which Drew said that too. You like,
you're not hating on them because they're winning, which is
ultimately the goal. You know what I mean, don't You
don't have to be the best YouTube offense. Whether people
draw these lines, those guys are effective.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
All right, let's talk about the headline and we'll get
back to LA. I just got we got to run here,
toush push. Okay, everybody talks to everybody has an opinion.
We don't know if there's the last year we're going
to see it. I say that word your body.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
Light was kind of changes here. You start smiling with
where do you come out? Or that?
Speaker 14 (25:39):
I think this will be the last year we see it,
should it? I don't think so, man, that they're not
doing anything illegal. You know, it's not against the rules,
so why stop it? But I think it is going
to be banned just off the level of competitiveness, like
it's automatic.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
Essentially, it's automatic.
Speaker 14 (25:55):
And then I don't know the injuries behind it, Like
if somebody is getting rolled up, sure more consistently than
other plays.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
So if that's the case, then I'm sure.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
That all of it, man, I think because it's hard,
it's hard. It's hard to officiate, and that's why.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
They want to get rid of it. Because they don't
want to. They want to.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
We have little details that you have to see, like
especially being crowded on the ball.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
You got to make sure you behind the ball.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
I get all that, but since it's hard do we
got to get rid of it.
Speaker 5 (26:21):
That's why I think. That's why I think you're getting.
Speaker 6 (26:23):
Rid of it, because it's so hard to officiate for
for a lot of them, well, a lot of.
Speaker 12 (26:26):
The reason why it's hard to be is because they
got a big old line. Like the Philadelphia Eagles has
us speaking about the old line Toronto. The NFL has
a Protector of the Year award this year. I'm going
to ask you which old lines are living up to
that protector road this season.
Speaker 14 (26:41):
I could easily go back to Philly, but I won't.
The Denver Broncos, and who's my other who got? I
got Denver and Detroit lines. Yeah, Oh my gosh, man,
listen what the Detroit lines was able to do to
the Baltimore Rigulars the other night. Those tackles sewel Taylor decord.
Those guys played. It was incredible to watch them where
they moved the ball and was able to run the ball.
Speaker 11 (27:02):
Same for the Denver Broncos too.
Speaker 14 (27:04):
They're one and two right now, lost to really close games.
But that offensive line has been playing really all twenty
twenty four and to start this season as well.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Well.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
We have sent our staff on a quest over a
decade in the league. By far from this guy, can
we get one good positive piece of video tape?
Speaker 4 (27:20):
What did we find? Is it here we go? Is
this is this? You gainst the rams take ciccaes through this?
That that's not me?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yeah, that's all a good way.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
I'm dropping my own tape. Yes, today this is the
trontmics tape is coming out. I mean that is pretty
nasty though. You look good. Appreciate listen.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, when we have a guest come in here, you
have guests come over, you have some little coffee cake,
maybe some wine at your house. When Toron comes in,
let's have some lights of him not getting clomb by BG.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Let me do it here.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
We need some sings cleanse up there.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
I don't like to say they hit differently. Yeah, I'm young.
I said what I said, what I said? You're great
on TV. You're a great dude. Incredible player. I know
you're going to play.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
This is You're always always welcome here Toronto said guys
the man.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
We have them, we bust the chops, we love them
and fashionable.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
As all get out.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
It's time for a wake up call, presented by Verizon.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Out of the shotgun Taylor has with what's his all on?
Speaker 5 (28:21):
Taylor's under pressure?
Speaker 4 (28:22):
The ball is out? Did the Bucks come up with it?
The Bucks actually did come up with the fubble.
Speaker 7 (28:28):
I think it's Edgewae.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
Winfield on the hit and beat up. Faye, I got
the fubble. I tell you you called me, you asked
for a TV then, Merry Christmas. I should have asked
for it earlier. Yeah, that's a good player. That's a
good player.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Brandon Graham's over going and we're all just watching highlights
him hitting quarterbacks and guess what he's here. He delivered
that sack last Sunday and helped his Tampa Bay Buccaneers
to twenty to twenty seven win over New York Jets.
Say hello to Super Bowl champion and Footbawl safety Anthoine Winfield.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Everybody, everybody, dude, we love seeing you. You're the kind
of guy who hits and then smiles about it afterwards.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
You're exactly the kind of guy we'd like to have here.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
And guess what, dude, three and o, three and oh
bucks three and o first time since two thousand and five.
First of all, what were you doing in two thousand
and five?
Speaker 4 (29:16):
And how does it feel to be three.
Speaker 11 (29:17):
And oh in two thousand and five?
Speaker 15 (29:19):
Yeah, probably running around in my backyard playing football my brothers.
Speaker 11 (29:23):
Honestly, Yeah, Well how do you feel now?
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Three and oh's three and oh?
Speaker 15 (29:28):
Yeah, I feel amazing. You know, it's always great to
you know, be three and oh. You know, just got
to keep stacking.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
Them at on your defense.
Speaker 12 (29:34):
Had a little fun on Sunday, bro, particularly after a
pick six by Jamel Dean. Now you guys had you
guys did have a little celebration going. How did that
come about? Did you guys practice? Say, obviously big Vito
was in the front doing his thing.
Speaker 15 (29:47):
Yeah, Beata said, once we got to take away, he
was gonna go up there and and be like the
captain of the ship and do his little dance or whatever.
So it was great to see him up there, you know,
lean away after then got the pick six.
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Hey, so after that after that block field goal touchdown,
you got Baker mayfield less.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
Than two minutes away.
Speaker 6 (30:06):
How confident were you in your quarterback to get it
done or at least get y'all close to get a
field goal?
Speaker 11 (30:10):
Yeah, very confident.
Speaker 15 (30:12):
In the first three games, it's been like that offense
had to come down there and score to win the game,
and so it's been happening in the past three weeks.
So once we got in that situation, I already knew
what what our offense was capable of doing and what
Baker was able was going to do.
Speaker 8 (30:24):
Man's one talking about Baker. Everybody has their takes on Baker.
We see it from the outside, but you were with
the man every single day. Give us one word that
would describe who Baker is and why? Man, you know,
the real version, What does he mean to you and
your team?
Speaker 11 (30:40):
He's just the ultimate competitor.
Speaker 15 (30:42):
You know, he loves playing the game, and he just
has that side of side to them where he's gonna
win and he's going to do whatever he can to
win the game.
Speaker 11 (30:49):
And just win in any situation.
Speaker 15 (30:51):
But he's an ultimate competitor and you can you can
see it in the way he plays.
Speaker 11 (30:55):
You can see it when he's you know.
Speaker 15 (30:57):
Talking trash to to whoever he's playing against and everything.
So you love to have quarterbacks like that on your team.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Dude, he is he talking and chirping you in practice?
Is he get down like that?
Speaker 15 (31:08):
Not so much of me, But I've heard him talk
to some other people before.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
Yeah, well maybe he's smart. He knows not to talk
to you. I get it. I totally get it. But
you know what I've been saying too.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
We look at the Eagles, all right, we got mister
Eagle here next to us. They're the Rainy champs. Okay,
they're Super Bowl champs.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
But I've been saying for a while now that.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
The biggest threat to the Eagles is Tampa because you guys,
over the last few years, listen, you've tuned them up
a couple of times. You've knocked them out of the playoffs.
You beat them handily last year. You did a number
on Saquon last year. It was just it's a really
impressive display you guys have put together. What is it
about you guys and that matchup that's gone so well
for you Tampa and Philly.
Speaker 15 (31:46):
I just think over the years, we just executed our
game plan very well. You know, the coaching staff, you know,
dowed everything up and we just I feel like executed
our game plans when we played against them over the
past couple of years.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
We're talking about that.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
I think I think it's been the heat. I think,
why was that this time around? We're going down early.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
We ain't got we ain't gonna be affected by that,
he did. What do you think.
Speaker 11 (32:09):
I've been down here for the last years. This heat
ain't no joke.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
I ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Right.
Speaker 5 (32:21):
Well, it's a good experience, but it's hot.
Speaker 12 (32:25):
Well, plus her, Your head coach, Todd Bowles is one
of the only coaches to say that the touch push
was a good play and was referred to as a
hero by Eagles fans.
Speaker 11 (32:34):
Here's what your coach has to say about it.
Speaker 16 (32:35):
I think the only place I might be a hero
at is Bubbles down on South Street and getting the
cheese steak. Other than that. Other than that, it's you know,
it's it's a good play. It's a creative play for them,
and we got to get better at defensive coaches trying
to be creative to stop it.
Speaker 12 (32:54):
Whe there he is and he talks about being creative
in order to stop it. What do you think it's
going to take to stop that play? Uh, that's a
good reason it is.
Speaker 11 (33:06):
It is a great play and it's tough to stop.
Speaker 15 (33:08):
So you know, it's so efficient and effective that that
you got to find ways to try to, you know,
stop the plays. But this week fifty fifty for that one.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Well I'm also looking at you though, dude, because the
safety is an interesting position on this in that you're
kind of I've seen guys jump over the line they
go to try to go pull them out. I feel
like you have it in you to try to do
something nuts to stop this because if your pride and
your ability that like not in our house type of thing.
Are you ready to set your hair on fire, do
whatever it takes personally to stop us.
Speaker 11 (33:40):
One hundred, whatever it takes, whatever it takes, What do
you think.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
It's gonna take?
Speaker 11 (33:45):
Me?
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Gee, this guy?
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Is this the guy who's gonna stop the Toushbush?
Speaker 4 (33:47):
No one else can?
Speaker 6 (33:48):
Well, I'll say that they already stopped it. But the
biggest thing is, let's just not even get ourselves in
the fourth and ones.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Let's go ahead, Let's gore a touchdown. Baby, Let's go
get you.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Said, they're not even gonna need it.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
But yeah, Matt, you know your dad being a fourteen
year Pro Bowl player, you know, a twine senior man.
What are some some things that he influenced you, uh,
in your career that you still kind of take with
to this day.
Speaker 11 (34:20):
I would just say his everything.
Speaker 15 (34:22):
I mean, I modeled my game around my dad, grew
up watching him play, and you know, throughout the years,
he just taught me all the lessons that you would
want to, you know, get taught as a as a
young dB, and still to this day, we always talk
about the game, things where I can improve and do
better on. But just being really consistent and always staying
grounded where I'm at and not getting too too far
(34:42):
ahead of myself and just making sure that I'm working
pretty much every day and just being consistent with what
I do.
Speaker 11 (34:46):
I feel like that's the biggest message behind him.
Speaker 8 (34:48):
All Right, you showed consistency, You showed you some love, man,
and I got respect for that. But I want you
to go back in the time capsule now, all right,
your dad's and his prime. You're in your prime, old
school Oklahoma drill. I want you to look into the
camera right now. Talk to your dad, Tell who we're
winning that battle? And how's that gonna go down?
Speaker 11 (35:08):
I think I got him. I think I got him.
Pop was good.
Speaker 15 (35:10):
I ain't go like Pops was good. I've seen him
make some hits on some people. I'm like, oh, yeah,
he was a hitter back in the day. So one
on one, I don't know that's that's gonna be it
something we might stale made on that one.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
We gotta get like AI to do that. Or so
I want to see win Field on Winfield. Everybody wants
to see it.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
Listen.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
And so before you go, you you played in your career,
not only with but again some amazing quarterbacks. Who is
the quarterback that you enjoy playing against? It's fun, that's
competitive to get you a challenge. Here's someone you look
at like, oh, I love playing that dude.
Speaker 15 (35:42):
I kind of go with probably Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers,
yeh wow, he's a great player. And then he's just
so calm and collect that you try to get in
his head, but get in his head. He's just so
like Tom and mellow and just having fun out there.
So I think Aaron Rodgers is probably the guy that
I like playing against.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah, and then they take him off the field to
kick a field goal. NFC Title game, you guys get
to go to the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
So it all comes up a win for you guys.
But that's the history. Listen.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
And by the way, Rogers has played against you and Pops,
he's been in the league for so long, so it's
an absolutely great answer, Anteline. You are one of the
best players on an undefeated team, one of the best
players in the league. We love Tampa, we love you,
and thank you so much for being here. Man, go
get him this weekend.
Speaker 11 (36:24):
Oh yeah, definitely, I appreciate it.
Speaker 12 (36:25):
You all go get them, Brot.
Speaker 17 (36:29):
Oh yeah, we'll be down there soon, baby, Okay, Morgan
Morning Football after the guy that looks.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Plain that's a play right there.
Speaker 18 (36:54):
So the Vikings n Stealers there in Dublin, Ireland, and
that is where our Jamie Erdaal is hard at work. Jane,
what's going on out there?
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Yeah, I mean, guys, Fortunately for you and the editors,
they had so many made putts of mine from the
green here at Carton House where the Steelers are saying
that they just had a plethora of made putts to
pick from so great television sent back to the intrepid
staff back on Good Morning Football. Thank you in Los
Angeles for just picking one of the putts that I made.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
There were, like I said, so many. I can't stress
that enough. Guys. We're here in the outskirts of Dublin.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
It's about a thirty minute ride west where these Steelers
arrived this morning. The Vikings are in town too, and
they are actually practicing at a place.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Nearby in Dublin called Ireland Sport.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
House, I believe, and it it's a rugby home for
a team that's here, but the Vikings have taken it
over this week.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
The Steelers are here.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Mike Tomlin has already spoken, Aaron Rodgers has already spoken,
and now the team has headed.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Out to practice.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
I stand behind, I stand in front of here one
of the two golf courses that are here at Carton House.
The one behind me is called the Omera Course, and
this has been the home of many Irish Opens. The
Men's Irish Open most recently was here in two thousand
and five, two thousand and six, in twenty thirteen.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
Rory McElroy has played this course in both.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Five and thirteen, and I guess in the spirit of
talking some bleep during the Ryder Cup, I should tell
you that Rory never made the cut here at the
Irish Open in five and thirteen. So go team USA.
And that's what's happening here. Like I said, the Steelers
arrived this morning. They flew over nights Kyle Brandt, and
(38:56):
it's just beautiful and green and lush and Irish and
people are golfing behind me and.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
It's all good. Ahead of Steelers Vikings on Sunday morning.
Speaker 4 (39:05):
Jamie will hit you with this.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
You know, I'm from Minnesota and I'm so nice and
I've got three daughters, and she's so warm and friendly.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
And then she'll go to Ireland.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
And have receipts on Murray missing cuts out of nowhere.
Don't sleep on herdal because she will ice you when
you're not expecting a Jamie incredible putt. It's amazing. Did
it in one take? Can we push you for more?
Can we see you as hitting out of the bunker?
Can we get a t shot? What will they allow
you to do? Because we want it all.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
So I actually did compliment the place as a whole
that I did not get gang tackled when I just
me and my work boots that I'm essentially wearing right now,
walked onto that green and no one stopped me. I
borrowed a bag of clubs. Can I have the bag
of clubs? I borrowed this bag of clubs from some
people at the course. I mean, I might just go
out and play eighteen. At this point, I got the
(39:53):
whole set. I probably need a couple more balls because
there's a lot of rough here in Ireland. There is
video of me chipping and guys, I just threw that
ball out there because every single one, as you know Kyle,
just right down the fairway. Just get the ball on
the fairway. And that's how we do television here.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
That's great.
Speaker 11 (40:11):
Jamie and chips.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
I just picture her with French fries, that's what they
call them over there. And here we go, a young
Jamie Ardall on the first green. It's left, the right,
undulating and it's good bard All loved by the galleries
here in Dublin, Ireland.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
And there it is the majestic setting for Viking Steelers.
There classic Carson Wentz versus Aaron Rodgers matchup.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 11 (40:33):
It's good morning football.
Speaker 4 (40:34):
Tradition. Unlike any other time.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
For Aaron Broun Fantasy Advice presented by.
Speaker 12 (40:39):
FedEx, you need to pick up an under the radar
tight end this week. Look no further than Chargers tight
end or Runder Gatson the second and the Week three
win over the Broncos. Gatson at five catches on seven targets.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
Are forty six yards and finished with the.
Speaker 12 (40:55):

go to waiver wire.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Specifically love that Irish sweater that you have wearing today
on the show. I miss everybody and I just want
to tell one person in particular, Kyle.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
In about five.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Minutes time when the show comes back on the air,
I'm not in my seat, so you have to welcome

Speaker 3 (41:32):
It's your favorite meat in the bag.
Speaker 2 (41:34):

then you begin, Okay.
Speaker 4 (41:39):

Speaker 1 (41:40):
I have a surprise to start the second hour. If
none of you know, everyone's gonna love chicks, don't go anywhere.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
I
