Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good Morning Football.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Yeah, this is Good Morning Football. What's up?

Speaker 4 (00:26):
We are a present of my old Trapper Beach Turkey
live in LA and New York. It's Friday, December sixth,
fourteen has started in the NFL season.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
This is Sofbar, buzz b and Millik. That is Kyle Brandt.
It spantiteo. I am Jamie Rdall.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
We are going to talk about the Lions and what
they did last night and what they accomplished. But in
the air of do what you're told, our production staff
is very South Jersey Philly Eagles base Kyle, So we
are being politely suggested to, I don't know, maybe open
the scope of the conversation into the NFC after we
do the highlights to include the Eagles as it pertains

(01:01):
to the potent Lions team. What do you think are
you going to an engage in this if.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
You heard what was said to me this morning by
one of our allegedly non biased producers. Every take that
this individual had about the Lions Trump and win last
night somehow related to.

Speaker 6 (01:16):
The Eagles, and it's all this, Like.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
I'm telling you that defense they're not gonna stop Philadelphia,
And maybe he's right.

Speaker 6 (01:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
And at the end of the game, the defense didn't
even get a shot to stop the Packers because of
the decision that Dan Campbell made. Jamie, should we make
the decision to.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
Start the highlight?

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Akbar Mantas should be doing uting the microphones.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Kyle is that we're in charge, so we'll do that highlight.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
We get to decide we're gonna talk about the Eagles
in the six egg we block.

Speaker 6 (01:43):
It's true.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
I don't see that producer with his own show, Jordan Loves.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
He was a show, but not early. The Lions defense
was all right against Love.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
Early it was just kind of treading water a little
bit offensively for the Packers.

Speaker 6 (01:56):
But this was the story of the game.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
You see that it says fourth and goal at the
bottom of the screen, look set forth down a lot.
That guy has real cheese in the stadium. I have
thoughts on it later. That's inexplicable.

Speaker 6 (02:05):
Thirty four thirty one can't really have a better game
than that.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Congratulations Amazon and Chrissa and everybody up there.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
Fantastic game. Congratulations to the Lions. They're going to the playoffs.
It's already clinched. It's already clinched.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
The stockings aren't even hung yet in thirty four, thirty one,
twelve and one.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
They're only lost me in a few months ago. Do
we go to the Dan Campbell locker room? Sound?

Speaker 7 (02:26):
Do you want it?

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Whether you want it or not, you're getting it the
Dan man, hell Yale, Man, take it away.

Speaker 8 (02:33):
I'm so freaking proud of man. That's a way to
show up. You talk about pressure. We live in pressure.
That's where we freaking thrive.

Speaker 7 (02:39):
You did it again. Al Right, It doesn't matter.

Speaker 8 (02:41):
Who's playing front, no matter what's going on, you want
me to find a way to win.

Speaker 7 (02:45):
That's just bending in the making. Man, This is bending
a making, all right.

Speaker 8 (02:50):
We're all supposed to be here together. Man, we're testing
for this. Just stay the course. And I'm so freaking broke.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
You have no other choice except to like what that
coach brings to the table when it comes to the
locker room, especially after a game like that, especially the
way that he decided to conduct business for the Lions
down the stretch. This was an outstanding old school battle
between two NFC North rivals, and last night it went
the Lions way. However, Manti, how do you see this
having an effect on the NFC playoff picture or perhaps

(03:20):
the fact that the Lions might have played the Packers
again or some other team in the NFC.

Speaker 9 (03:23):
Yeah, to me, personally, it doesn't change anything for the Lions,
Like the Lions are still the best team not only
in the NFC but also in the NFL. But it does,
for me change things for the Packers in a good way.
Packers KB has said this before and I'm going to
echo the same sentiment.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
You are a really good team. You are a really
good team.

Speaker 9 (03:43):
Now, we talked about the Lions and injuries that they had,
let's not forget that the Packers also didn't have their
best corner in JayR Alexander. They also didn't have Romeo Dobbs,
who is their deep threat that they like to get
the ball to. So as far as the Packers are concerned,
the thing that I hope does not happen, and I
don't think that it's going to happen, is that when
you give your best shot and give a team your

(04:05):
best shot and you still come up short, sometimes that's
so deflating that it can really cripple a season. You
guys are going to be in the postseason. And I
hope and pray, and I think we all here at
this table and Kaban in New York, we all hope
and pray that we see this matchup again. Whether it's
most likely it's going to be in Detroit, but we
hope that we see the Packers play.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
The Lions again.

Speaker 9 (04:26):
And I can't wait to see this thing when everybody's
healthy and everybody's ready to go, and JayR Alexander is
out there and him and a Monroe Saint Brown are
going at it because you know they are going to
go at it, and to see these guys go toe
to toe against each other. So please, Packers, you're a
really good football team. Josh Jacobs I said yesterday was
going to have a big impact on this game, and
he did. He had three touchdowns, could have had a fourth,

(04:48):
it was called back for a pass interference on the offense.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
He had a great game. So just keep the belief.
You're right there.

Speaker 9 (04:55):
So it doesn't change anything in regards to the Lions,
but for me, Packers, you're up there, so keep that confidence.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
We talked extensively to open the show hour ago about
Dan Campbell's fourth and inchest decision at the end of
the game. If you want that content, it's on the
GMFB social media, it's on mine, it's on everybody's.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
We talked a lot about.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
It, and the baseline take just being that this team
knows who they are and they know how to win.
And if there are people in different types of communities,
whether it be analytics or of coaching or tape reviewing,
that say terrible decision, reckless decision, I respect what you
do and I wildly disagree with you. And I don't
know how you watch the course of that game and
disagree with Dan Campbell's decision based on who they are

(05:33):
as a team, how their defense was not playing, how
Jordan Love was playing. There's a decision you make at
the end of a game that say we're going to
end the game. Now, I'm not going to sit here
and kick.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
The field goal.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Give Jordan Love thirty some seconds, he completes one down
the field, they run off, they kick some sixty two
yard field goal with McManus, and we walk off the loss.
I'm not going to do that, and I love that decision.
I also love like there's just some fun stuff going on,
and by fun I mean rivalry, bidter stuff.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
Just start rolling the package.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Oh, there was a lot of talk going on about
like this is Saint Brown who's in the slot and
he knocks the helmet off McKinney. McKinney had said, we're
not worried about him. There was a lot of chirping
and I'm on right and not have a big statistical game,
but he's measurements and stuff like this.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
So that was just a tip of the iceberg.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
All right, did you see the incident with the head
coach of the Packers.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
Don't read lips.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
This is a fan he's talking to who's down on
the field talking to the head coach of the Packers
in a Brian Branch jersey. That's not a player, guys,
That is a guy down there next to the flag holders,
chirping the head coach, and Lafleur is ready like has
to be held back.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
That's really ugly.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
So much so that after the game, there was a
million things you could have asked Matt Lafleur about about
the game, but he was hot and there was a
vibe in that stadium about this game had stakes.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
But as I said, of.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
All the questions you could ask the Packers I coach
about the game, he was asked about this incident.

Speaker 10 (07:00):
Yeah, I've never been a part of something like that.
It was he was talking junk to our players, giving
him the throat slash sign, and you know, you're trying
to de escalate it, and then he gets in my face.
So I thought it was pretty unsportsman like, like I've
never seen that. I've been on many fields and usually
they police that much better. I just I thought it

(07:22):
was an arrogant fan that wanted to get in part
of the action, and just I would like to see
security or something step in there and get him out
of there.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Completely relatable, understandable. I don't disagree with anything he just said.
Is why is there a guy right there getting in
the face of the head coach of the Green Bay Packers,
not some person leaning over the railing chirping at players
as they come out of the tunnel. That's all part
of the atmosphere. But I also think that there was
a charged environment here, and I just don't think if
this was I don't know the Packers at the Titans

(07:54):
Week three, that some Titans fan would have been screaming
at the Packers head coaching him back.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
I think this was Packers Lions.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
I also think Matt Lafleur has not had a lot
of luck against the Lions. And that's crazy to say
because Matt Lafleur is one of the best coaches in
the league.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
He beats almost everybody.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Do you know that he's lost six of seven to
the Lions now six of seven? I mean that's some
Ravens and Steelers type stuff. It's not quite some Packers
Bears type stuff. But the Lions beat the Packers, and
they do it in big situations, including a couple of
years ago when the Rogers Packers needed to win to
get in the playoffs and lost to Dan Campbell. Matt
la floor is not Dan Campbell's face screaming. They don't

(08:32):
have that relationship. But Matt laflor suddenly has it having
an issue right now with the Lions, in which he
beats almost everybody but loses to them.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Like clockwork nearly every time. I hope. I think we
will get this game again in the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
And believe me, that thing where Matt Lafleur loses to
the Lions and nobody else it's gonna be a big
part of it.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
They have a Lions issue right now with Green, Ben.

Speaker 7 (08:52):
And Kyle if they meet up in the playoffs. They
made it be concerned, be very very concerned. Think back
to when Nick Sirianni, remember when he was chirping off
at the fans and then what we saw with the Eagles,
and the Eagles just kind of took off that kind
of stuff. I'm telling you, it gets dudes like I mean,
we get crunked over stuff like that. Unlike the fact
that he was getting them like yo. I mean, he

(09:13):
was like thugging on the dude. I mean he was
coming after him, and that type of energy is infectious. Now,
I will say it didn't carry over for the Lions game,
but I think that's something they're gonna sit with. And
you can see it. You see certain elements of it
showing itself in the game. I want you to take
a look at this, because this right here told me
that the Green Bay Packers. Yes, the Lions, you know,
they clinched that, but they've got something left in them

(09:35):
and they've got some fight in them. I'm telling you, Jamie,
you talked about this. The more I know now I
tell you that the Green Bay Packers are going to
be somebody to look for in the playoffs, and they
could come back and upset somebody's dreams of going to
the super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
All Right, I love the take. I love that from
all the extracurriclers in that game. I'll bire you pointed
out because that fired me up. To give me the
Tucker Craft kip.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
Up again, because obar don't other respect. I love the Undertaker.
He's maybe the the greatest wrestler of all time.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
He ain't never getting up like this. This was not
the Undertaker. The Undertaker was six foot ten. He's not
kicking up like that. He's on his back. He's sitting
up like a hinge at the waist. This is a young,
crazy professional football player.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
After that kind of contact.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
I've seen guys do that at the end of plays
away from the pile.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
They're all great athletes. To take that hit and to do.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
That the Undertaker wishes in his prime. I'm talking about
nineteen ninety one coming out with Paul Beher wasn't kicking
up like that. He can get out of the grave.
But the Undertaker is down and then he's coming up
like this. Kraft has got his legs up and he's
doing a jump off the ground.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
He's doing the.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Jean Claude van Dam from double Impact kip up. It's
an incredible moment. I love Kraft. I think he's the
next Kittle, but he wasn't enough for the.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
Lines last night. I love it. I love it.

Speaker 9 (10:53):
I love that we highlighted that play because I remember
when I saw that play, I was.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
Like, Oh, that's legit, Well, what's crazy he was.

Speaker 9 (10:59):
I don't know if you all saw the play on
the one run that Josh Jacobs had where Kraft tried
to come back on U Nowaska.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
NOLWASKI blew this dude up.

Speaker 9 (11:08):
And I'm like, Tucker Craft didn't get up like that.
He kind of sat up and was like, all right,
that's what type of game this is gonna be. And
the Packers knew what type of game it was gonna be.
From the national anthem, obviously, they were getting into some
some heated things with players and with fans and all
of that stuff.

Speaker 7 (11:22):
And this is what.

Speaker 9 (11:23):
Makes rivalries so great. We see it in college football,
we see it in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
It's so great.

Speaker 9 (11:30):
So I just wanted to when I saw that player
immediately thought of that one where Craft came across the
line of scrimmage and went to try to seal off
the outside back edge and old boy like. It was
just one of those old school As a defender, I
loved watching it as a physical game. It was down,
it was downhill and uh man looking again. I think

(11:50):
we all can look forward to it in the in
the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (11:52):
Yeah, we'll keep talking Packers, We'll keep talking Eagles. We
know those guys are the top one, but it's gonna
be the ones after and everything's gonna come down to
of course, the Minnesota Vikings is gonna come down to
the Green Bay Packers. This is the playoff. I can't
wait for the playoffs. It's gonna be so good.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
It may have been because of the Green Bay suck
sweatcher that was worn on Thanksgiving, but I think we
knew the extracurriculars and the subsequent emotional play was going
to take place on Thursday night football.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
But Kyle, why is it that this.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Morning people aren't more annoyed with Matt Lafleur the way
they may have been if that was Nick Sirianni chirping
at fans like that before a game.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Why is that?

Speaker 6 (12:27):
It's a good question, Jamie.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
I think Lafleur is usually a cool customer, you know,
I mean, he doesn't do that stuff. And also wast
Sirianni I believe was chirping at his own fans in
the stands like that. That was a whole different breed
of Sirianni. It looked to me, like, I don't know,
like I really respect Lafleur and I think he has
all credibility in this. I'm sure there was a jackass,

(12:49):
so to speak, who was saying wildly inappropriate things.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
And thought he was a tough guy.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
I mean, I gotta say this just like respectfully and
representing the league. That was ugly, Like, I don't think
that was a funny situation. I don't think that that
was cool content.

Speaker 7 (13:02):
That was bad.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
That is guys on the core in Detroit. Like, I
just didn't like that. I could have gotten really ugly.
I don't like the head coach nearly having a physical
confrontation with.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
A fan on the field.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
So listen, there's accusations about security at Ford Field.

Speaker 6 (13:16):
I think that incident will be looked at. I think
it will be.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Remedied and listen, there's probably going to be a Packers
that Lions playoff game, right, Like, there's a very good
chance they'll probably go back to that same field. You know,
you have those people out in front of the game
who hold the flag and it's this really cool ceremony.
It does bring a lot of people who aren't league
people or stadium personnel.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
On the field. It's a lot of people, and.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
If one of those decides to pop off and gets
close to the head coach, just not a good look.
And I imagine that they're going to go back to Detroit.

Speaker 7 (13:44):
It will not repeat, especially when you have one of
the Packers personnel like equipment managing, somebody running out there
step in front. But you know, you look at that
situation and to LA floor. He came back multiple times.
It wasn't just the one time. He kept coming back.
So he was like, you don't want to smoke. And
I like that he didn't back down. But there does
need to be security concerns or questions as far as
making sure that no one can get that close to

(14:06):
the I mean this should be taught, like like.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
They'll get it right. The Lions will figure it out.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
They know what the best way to do it is
Ian Rappaport.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Good morning to you. We're talking a.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Lot about the Lions potentially hosting a playoff game in
the NFL postseason. It would be a site for sore
eyes for ford Field. But listen, they got to get
some guys back from injury after what we saw last night.

Speaker 11 (14:25):
Yeah, another defensive injury for the Detroit Lions. Whoever, they
came into this with three of their rotational defensive tackles,
including DJ Reader not able to play on the injury report,
ruled out. And then another one yesterday, Alee McNeil, their
big money defensive tackle, just signed an extension about a
month ago or a little more.

Speaker 12 (14:44):
He was knocked out of the game with a concussion.

Speaker 11 (14:46):
Obviously did not return now in the NFL's concussion protocol.

Speaker 12 (14:49):
The fact that they have a.

Speaker 11 (14:50):
Little extra time this week between now the next game
potentially a good sign, but certainly something to watch and monitor. Meanwhile,
we got some really interesting news regarding Bill Belichick yesterday. No,
not Bill Belichick interviewing for one of the vacant NFL.

Speaker 12 (15:05):
Head coaching jobs.

Speaker 11 (15:07):
It was actually Belichick interviewing it North Carolina, like you know,
the university of North Carolina. It is real. It is interesting.
It is not something that either party did. I don't
just kind of to see. Belichick has done plenty of
research into the college game. Could be this year's Dion
Sanders taking over a program being the Essentilly CEO head
coach and running it like the NFL.

Speaker 12 (15:29):
Those talks continue. And then for the Dallas.

Speaker 11 (15:31):
Cowboys, the future of Zach Martin, I would say very
much up in the air, very much in doubt. When
the best lineman we have seen in a very long time,
best Cowboys lineman in years, having anko surgery, his season
is over. He is now going to consider retirement at
age thirty four. Said this is not the time to
have those conversations. Obviously that time soon we'll.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Come all right, rap sheet, appreciate you. That's just another
layer of brutal news for the Cowboys. But we look
elsewhere in the NFC East to look at the team
atop there Eagle fans. We talked Philadelphia. We actually in
the NFC conversation today.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
It starts the show.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Listen speaking of playoffs, Fantasy football playoffs.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Are just around the corner.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Who do you think is gonna pop off on Sunday.
That's what the kids are saying. We're gonna tell you,
We're gonna highlight them.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
Kyle, I'm so entertained by Ian's report on Belichick.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
It's incredible. I love that report. I'm so amused by it.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Plus, we'll play a little no cap earlier or later.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
Not early, that'd be impossible.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
I haven't doney Is.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Jamis and the Brown's gonna get a win? And which
team needs it the most? And which NFL quarterback not
named Jamis would you most want to hear a hype
speech from we get in it all on a Friday
preview the whole weekend.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
Good morning football, you love.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
It, Good morning football.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
You know this game. We love this game. It's time
for a round of no cap.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Just tell the truth, everybody, All all the hats from
the NFL sideline connection are on the table. Let's just
show Kyle Branton his shot, please, and all his hats,
because Kyle, honest to goodness, right now, you look like
a guy that works like seven am to eight pm
in his office, and he's got like shot glasses from
all the Applebee's that he's been to from across the country.
Like you just at your desk with all of your

(17:24):
hats show Kyle Pats look at me. He's like, and
this one's from Cleveland, and this one's from.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
They've gone to plaid.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
I thought you're gonna still look like I work at
Abercrombie and Fitch, Jamie. I have the autumnal plaid caps
and I can't wait to play with them.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
We are looking forward to the answers to your answers
to these questions, and everybody else at the table as well,
a lot of teams looking to keep their playoff hopes.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Alive this week.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Grab the cap of the team who needs a win
the most this week and Week fourteen. Kyle, unclip your
plaid cap and give us your take.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
It's gonna be hard for you guys in New York
to add to go after me because I don't know
how you pick one that needs to win more than
this team.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Good luck, it's right here. I mean it's the Falcons,
and if you pad them.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
If your eyeball on the Falcons, you got to pick
a different one. The Falcons at Vikings. You know the
deal that not only have they lost for almost a month,
these guys, but I said this earlier, I think this
is a top five game in Kirk cousins entire career,
going back to when he entered the league, because of
the way he's playing, because of how badly the Falcons
need to win, because it's returning to Minnesota, and because

(18:27):
if he doesn't play well, I think he's gonna get
benched for a rookie.

Speaker 6 (18:30):
I just it's a massive game.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
There is no team I can see in the whole
league that needs to win more than the Falcons right now,
unless you guys can find one.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
Buenos werret Nanta, can you find one. Yep, I can't
find one.

Speaker 9 (18:42):
And it's gonna be, believe it or not, it is
gonna be the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
For me, it's gotta be. If you're the.

Speaker 9 (18:49):
Kansas City Chiefs, I know you're eleven to one, twelve
and one, whatever that is. But you are playing the
La Chargers right now, and it's a team that is
coming up and they're getting better and they're ascending, and
they're in your division.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
And like I said before, the FC.

Speaker 9 (19:02):
West, the FC West Division is a lot closer than
than these schedules, and these records make it look out
to be. This Chargers defense is playing right now lights out.
Yesterday I talked about this Chiefs defense is giving up
a lot of explosive plays. So the team that needs
to win this week, for me, it's the Kent City Chiefs.

Speaker 7 (19:23):
Okay, all right, well, you guys got some really good
ones here I'm going to take. I'm going to go
a totally different place here. I am going to go
with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Got you, Okay, here we.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Go, and that your shirt. You have a lot of options.

Speaker 6 (19:41):
I do have a lot of options.

Speaker 7 (19:42):
Let me get this ready here, because this is a
different take the Buccaneers, right, I love your take, Kyle.
With the Falcons, I think they're gonna win that game.
But I believe the reason why they need this the
most is because they're playing the Las Vegas Raiders. Las
Vegas Raiders right now currently have the worst record in
the league, and right now they may be competing for

(20:04):
the services of Shaduur Sanders. And so I'm gonna go
out and say that way that if they continue to lose,
they're gonna have a lot of options, and who knows
where Dion Sanders might end up. But here we go,
and no, there's a connection. Tom Brady is of course
Shaduur Sander's mittor AND's been working with him throwing the football.
So I'm just saying I'm putting it out there.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Oh, I thought you were making reference to the ownership.

Speaker 12 (20:26):
No no, no, no, no.

Speaker 8 (20:28):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Right, here we go, Seahawks. The Seahawks need to win
over the Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
Kyle, was really sweet what you were saying about Jonathan
Gannon last hour.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
And like, I think it would be great for the
second year head coach to make a name for himself.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
But if I'm the Seahawks, I'm looking at the Cardinals
like little brother. We've been on top of this division
longer than you have in recent history. We have the quarterback,
we have the new head coach. Everything's coming up Seahawks,
and we have an opportunity to keep the forty nine
ers at Bay and the Cardinals. No, up and coming
Cardinals is gonna take down the Seahawks team this weekend.

(20:58):
If I was Seattle, I would be looking at this
game as a must win.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
There we go in this division, all right.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
We saw Amon Ross, Jane Brown and as Xavier mckitti
their match up last night.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
It was awesome.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Grab two caps, all right, there is the assignment. Grab
two caps and tell me which one on one matchup
that you'll be watching most closely this weekend.

Speaker 6 (21:17):
Kyle, So I'm gonna take this hat.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
I'm gonna slide all the way over here and Chris
Collins were sliding into the shot.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
This is a game right here.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
I like Bill's Rams okay right, And specifically earlier in
the show, we had National Treasure and Bill's offensive tackle
Dion Dawkins the Snowman. Have you seen these young Rams
pass rushers Jared versus the guy that we talk about
all the time that every single time you watch him
every single week, Like got that guy?

Speaker 6 (21:43):
So young and energetic and fast. I want to see.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
All of those guys badly on the Bills and versus
the Rams old line.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
Plus I want to see Josh Allen.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
He has this move when the rush comes in on him,
he's stiff arms then while he holds the ball back.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
It's risky as hell, but it's incredibly powerful. All the Rams.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Pass rushers versus the Bills offensive machines, specifically number seventeen
trying to win in MVP.

Speaker 6 (22:03):
That's my matchup.

Speaker 9 (22:03):
What do you guys got Hmmanta you're up, I like, sis,
can I get your hat?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Please go?

Speaker 9 (22:08):
Maybe I got the Cardinals versus the Seahawks, specifically, I
got Kenneth Walker the third going up and up with
Buddha Baker. That is the that's the matchup I want
to see. That's the that's a collision I want to see.
Buddha Baker is one of my favorite defenders to watch
play the game.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
He's everywhere. Reminds me of Troy Poulamalo.

Speaker 9 (22:29):
How you see him in the deep middle of the
field in some coverages, and then you also see him
coming off the edge hitting running.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
Backs in the back of the field.

Speaker 9 (22:36):
So Kenneth Walker Buddha Baker, that's that matchup that I'm
looking for to see this week.

Speaker 7 (22:41):
Let's get it. Okay, let's go back to the AFC
West here. All right, you got any take, or at least
I thought it was funny the last take here, But
this is let's get serious here, because this one right
here is going to be interesting. We've got the Chargers,
We've got the Chiefs, and I'm looking at the Chargers
run offense against the Chiefs run defense. They don't have
the Chargers, they don't have JK. Dobbins anymore. So I'm

(23:04):
looking at Gus Edwards, I'm looking at their rookie running
back in vadal and seeing what they can do against
this defense. This is going to be a matchup that
is really going to determine a lot for the Chargers
and their ability and their viability to be able to
stay in the playoffs, because if they can't get that
run game going, that puts a tremendous amount of pressure
on our Herbert to make everything happen. And remember, they

(23:25):
don't have them dogs down the field. We've seen the
struggles that they've had offensively with the wide receivers. I
know Lad McConkie, he's been battling his injuries. But this one,
right here, this is the matchup. Everybody should be paying
attention this game. Right here, there we go.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
I'm going to the AFC North give me this. We
saw this in the snow a couple weeks ago in Cleveland.
We saw Miles Garrett sack Russell Wilson three times on
Thursday Night Football. That thing was awesome to see. But
now I want to see this thing go down in Pittsburgh.
Miles Garrett, Russell Wilson. If Russell Wilson and the Steelers
can beat this Browns defense, which randomly we'll just have

(24:02):
these lights out games. And I get it because they
have a lot of talent on a grand delp.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
It is great. But if the Steelers can put to.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
Bed the Browns and continue to claim the top of
this division, then I'm all in on the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
This looks awesome, but I love this specific matchup this.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Weekend, and frankly, you could go tj Wat against Jameis Winston.
It's a really fun quarterback first, very talented defense game
going on in Pittsburgh this weekend.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Grab the cap, this is great.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
Speaking of Jameis Winston, grab the cap of the team
who you feel like if you could just lift Jameis
Winston up and drop them into their locker room or
their pregame huddle needs a Jamis Winston sque speech ahead
of Week fourteen, Kyle.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
And you know, I'm looking at the schedule, I wouldn't
say this is the best slate of games right off season.
I mean, Jags, Titans, Jet's, Dolphin's and yet I'm still
going to pick from one that doesn't jump off the marquee.
Where the hell are these guys. It would be appropriate
if I couldn't find this hat. Hold on, I'm gonna
take Oh, here we go. Yeah, it's the only one

(24:58):
with the founder's initials on the back, which would be
GSHF for popa Bear hollis. All right, guys, I don't
know what Jameis would say, something that sounds poetic and
is kind of religious, the Father and the Son and
the Holy pick.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
Six or something like that.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
Caleb Williams, you know, he hasn't thrown an interception in
six weeks. He hasn't thrown a pick in six weeks,
and they haven't won a game in six weeks. I
read that it's the longest losing streak by a team
that doesn't throw an interception. It's like since the merger
or whatever the hell it is, going against the Niners
who are completely falling apart.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
Are we gonna get that.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
Interim coach bump, that sweet intoxication of I'm out of
the marriage and I'm now driving the yellow Corvette with
my new girlfriend who's all over Instagram.

Speaker 6 (25:39):
That's what The Bears at.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
Least deserved just one win since the damn Hail Mary
that you can just hang your hat.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
On, go get it, get a win, my god, bear down.
What do you guys got Okay?

Speaker 13 (25:50):
I like the Raiders, okay, and I'm gonna I think
it's very fitting that as the Raiders. Okay, I'm gonna
get into my little Jamis mode real, Okay, all right,
all right, team.

Speaker 14 (26:01):
You know it's so beautiful, beautiful ball football. It's how
football parallels life. Their peaks and they're in valleys with
the Raiders. Right now, we're in a valley. But in
Psalm twenty.

Speaker 9 (26:13):
Three four, it says, hey, do I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
Thy Rod and thy Staff are confromfort me.

Speaker 9 (26:23):
When I think of Rod and Staff, I think of
a big stick. And Teddy Roosevelt said, speak softly and
carry a big stick. So I know, off Bar, I
know you've been through a lot of countries. I know
you've heard a lot of languages. But guess what, there's
a language that everybody understands, and that's violence.

Speaker 6 (26:38):
We understand violence.

Speaker 9 (26:40):
So let's play today four quarters of violence and carry
a big stick. And for four quarters, let's get that
stick talk going.

Speaker 6 (26:48):
Let's go, right, we go.

Speaker 7 (26:55):
I like that. That was really really good. All right,
I don't know that I can top that one. Why
don't you hand me if you could please the Dolphins. Dolphins,
the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Hey, Loretta.

Speaker 7 (27:08):
Script, let me look at this. Okay, cool, this is
another one of my former teams. Here, here we go.
All right, Miami Dolphins. You need this one big time.
All right, So I want you to just say, and
I can't give you the Jameis Winston speech, but I
will tell you that Jameis Winston will encourage you just
five wins, win this thing out. You've got the Jets
going on. This is just one step and a five

(27:30):
step process, and you're you're right there in the wildcard.
You have an opportunity. So I wouldn't back up. I
wouldn't backpedal. I'm thinking about eating the w's every single week.
You've got the Jets twites. We know that they have
nothing left in them. So you've got those two wins.
That means, if you're doing the math, that means there
are three wins, critical wins that you can make out there.
One of them the Cleveland Browns, Sorry, Jamis Winston, you

(27:53):
can take them out. We've got a very injured San
Francisco forty nine ers. You can take them out. Miami Dolphins,
come on, now, you can get to the playoffs. It's yours.
Let's go, Miami Dolphins. Miami. That's number one, the worst
hype song in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (28:08):
By the way, I don't know that song. What is that?

Speaker 7 (28:10):
Yeah, you shouldn't have to go in the stadium listen
to it. I mean, as a player, you did not
like it. It was not motivating at all.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Now listen, no more Minnesota and ice this weekend. It's
Minnesota ice. And this is a real concept. This is
a real concept. There are people that feel strongly about
those that leave the state of Minnesota, and when they return,
they think that you big time them and they say.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
You didn't.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
We weren't good enough for you here. You want to
stay in Minnesota. I'm not speaking from personal experience, but
I might be Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
You chose to leave.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
You went to another team, and now you're going to
go back and try to be cheered for.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
And ooed and all about. Thank you Kirk Cousins for
your service.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
No Vikings beat up on your former quarterback. You love
your quarterback, You love your head coach. You love your defense.
The time is now to make a statement about what
you the decision that you made last March to not
pay that man and no more Minnesota and ice.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Not this weekend. Minnesota ice frostiness.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Okay, that's what we need from the Vikings this week
and against Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Nice out there.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Winter is coming and honestly, it's okay if you leave
and go home, it's fine.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Welcome back, everybody. I'm Sherry Burrs now.

Speaker 15 (29:18):
The Lions clinching a playoff sat with their win over
the Packers on Thursday night, Detroit doing so despite losing
nearly their whole defensive line this season to injury, but
to combat those the Lions picking up Zadarius Smith at
the trade deadline. He is not disappointed. He's wrecking up
yet another sack.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Last night. He went one on one with our bury.

Speaker 15 (29:38):
Own Stacy Daals after the game, talking about how it
felt to clinch the playoff bers great feeling.

Speaker 16 (29:44):
Have you ever been on a roller coaster ride and
you at the top and you getting ready to go down,
That feeling you'll get in your starling.

Speaker 7 (29:50):
That was that feeling.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Now, Zadarius, you told me this week kind of a
little bit of a revenge game because you gave that
franchise for three years your everything.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
Yes, ma'am, I did. I did, but two years I
gave it to.

Speaker 16 (30:02):
Him, and once I got hurt, thanks down like I
wasn't nothing.

Speaker 6 (30:05):
But I'm glad to be on the other side now.

Speaker 16 (30:08):
You know, I had a chance to go to the
bikers and get my reven and I came to Detroit
and got my revels again.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
How many sacks you got in you for the rest
of the way out?

Speaker 7 (30:17):
How many do you want?

Speaker 3 (30:18):
I told you I wanted eight when you became a Lion.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
I got how many?

Speaker 9 (30:21):
Now?

Speaker 7 (30:22):
Okay, yeah, we can make a habit.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Five more.

Speaker 7 (30:25):
Let's y'all pre sading.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 6 (30:29):
He's the best.

Speaker 15 (30:29):
Maybe it's a reunion, not revenge game, but hey. Earlier
this week, forty nine Ers players hosting a special Olympic
slog football game at the SAP Performance Facility, each player
receiving a custom jersey as the forty nine Ers players
served as their coaches and referees for the game. The
athletes also receiving tickets to the Niners game against the
Lions later this month. Well coming up, it is a

(30:52):
huge week in fantasy football with the playoffs lurking prowl,
Have you set up your Week fourteen lineups to hear
with us?

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Good mon?

Speaker 4 (31:14):
All right, type of fantasy advice presented by FedEx. We're
gonna spotlight some offensive players that we think are gonna
light it up on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Man say you get to go first, you have the floor.

Speaker 9 (31:24):
So if I were to tell you that this guy
is the number one red zone target for the Miami Dolphins,
you would think it's tybrik Hill. You would think maybe
it's Jalen Wattall.

Speaker 6 (31:33):
No, I'm talking about John Smith.

Speaker 9 (31:34):
John new Smith is the number one targeted person in
the red zone for the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (31:40):
Let me tell you from a fantasy perspective.

Speaker 9 (31:41):
The past three weeks twenty eight points, twenty three points,
last week twenty one points. He is currently the fifth
ranked tight end in fantasy football. So I look forward
to seeing this guy continue to dominate, especially in the
red zone. He's getting a lot of targets. So look
for Jona Smith to have a big game this week.

Speaker 7 (32:00):
All Right, here we go. I'm gonna go with my
man Justin Jefferson, looking for him to have a very
big game against of course, the Atlanta Falcons. I think
when you look about how he creates separation, there's been
a lot of attention, you know, paying an attention to
Justin Jefferson, But then you've got other wide receivers who
are now starting to show up.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
You're gonna have to respect.

Speaker 7 (32:19):
This offense and you expect the talent that is Justin Jefferson,
but the Falcons, they're giving up a lot of defensive touchdowns.
This is going to be a prime game for Justin
Jefferson to have one of them very big games, Like
like we're going to be seeing Gritty's going on and
on and on in this game. So let's go JJ.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
You know, Jefferson has.

Speaker 5 (32:37):
Been kind of cool this year where there's been a
stretch he's gone through without spectacular stats and he hasn't
had a ton of touchdowns and here and there, but
the Vikings just win every single week, and he's been
really cool about it when he talks to the media,
and I actually really really respect that late afternoon window
on this weekend, if you're watching Red Zone, you watch
the Scott Hanson there's only gonna be three games and
there's going to be Bills Rams, which.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
Is pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (32:59):
There's gonna be Seattle Arizona, which has some real stakes,
and then this ugly duckling game is Baret Niners, and
I'm going to be in keeping myye on that one
because I'm going to be keeping myy on Caleb Williams.

Speaker 6 (33:09):
Caleb Williams, the rookie, the other.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
Guy who's not Bo Nicks, who's not Jayden Daniels, who's
not even Drake may sometimes, and yet has gone nearly
two months of NFL football without making a terrible mistake
or even throwing a single interception. He's gonna get that bump. Now, guys,
we have a new coach. This is going to be
his first game played not under the Matt Eberflus era,
which kind of feels like it's going to be his

(33:32):
first game ever. You might remember his first game ever.
They played the Titans and Will Levis handed them the
game and Caleb did nothing. I feel like this is
the season premiere of Caleb Williams, with a new coach
and a new energy on the road away from the
home fans. I think he's going to be great. And
I am watching.

Speaker 6 (33:48):
Caleb and that late afternoon Sunday window.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
Very good, I say, my lighted up player with love
and affection, because I think it isn't really fun to
watch the Panthers over the next month. Unfortunately for the Panthers,
they have given up the most points to a running
back when it comes to fantasy all season long. They
averaged twenty five point six points just giving it away. Well,
guess what running back is going to go up against
the Panthers this weekend is Saquon Barkley. Saquon Barkley, I

(34:11):
think is going to have his way with the Panthers defense.
He's leading all running backs in fantasy this year with
two hundred and eighty five points. He's by far and
away blowing Derrick Henry out of the fantasy water. So
Saquon Barkley, if you have him in your final week,
or if you're in like a crazy league.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
And your playoffs are starting this weekend.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
Enjoy your win because Sagon Barkley's gonna run all over
it and run you to a postseason next round. In
your bracketology, Kyle Brandt, you mentioned the Bears are going
up against the forty nine ers. We got to talk
Christian McCaffrey. But frankly, it has nothing to do with
this calf or the forty nine ers.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
I wanted to get something.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
You know, the Niners play the Bears this weekend, in
this kind of tough season, at the end of it,
and there's this news. After we waited for weeks and
weeks for Christian McCafe to come back, he came back,
and then he posted a message on social media that
I just was really really taken by as a fan
of his and a fan of football.

Speaker 6 (34:59):
And it's a long message. I won't read you the
whole thing, but some of the things he said is
it's the greatest game on the planet. To me.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
I love that you can find out exactly who you
are without even saying a word. It's a constant test
of wills. You can feel sorry for yourself and listen
to the birds, or you can hold the line.

Speaker 6 (35:13):
I love the Niners.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
I love football, God doesn't miss It's really poetic and inspiring.

Speaker 6 (35:18):
But I feel terrible for McCaffrey.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
I genuinely do, because we're at the point now with
Christian McCaffrey when we waited.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
So long for him to come back. But the season
is over.

Speaker 8 (35:26):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
Christian McCaffrey will have been.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
In ninety five regular season games, ninety five games in
his career, and he'll have missed thirty seven of them
due to injury. Thirty seven out of ninety five. That
is nearly forty percent of his games. And I start
to look at him like I look at one of
these amazing Hall of Fame level talents across sports who
were always so frustrated with the injuries, Grant Hill, Ken

(35:52):
Griffy Junior, Derek Rose, or maybe in our game, Fred Taylor,
who if not for injuries, would be in the Hall
of Fame right now. I hate seeing him walk off
the field so much. I think he is a guy
who is in some ways relatable, who's.

Speaker 6 (36:06):
Down to earth. He's not the biggest guy out there.
If you grew up watching his father play, you.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
Feel like a connection to that family, and I feel
so bad for Christian.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
I got to be backstage.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
At NFL Honors when he won Offensive Player of the
Year and he famously never wins any awards. He always
gets nominated and doesn't win, and he walked off into
the arms of his then fiance and it was this
amazing emotional moment after this powerful speech, and I really
really really feel for him the fact that he trains
as hard as he does and is still injured. I
know it's part of the game and a lot of
people get injured.

Speaker 6 (36:36):
This one hits really hard for me.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
But if we could go back to the post, you know,
Christian has tried so hard and he just can't catch
a break. And there's a relatable fact early for him
for I mentioned, and that is including the post because
the whole beautiful message is below. But is there anything
more relatable than what you see at the top? Guys,
I'm sorry, I shouldn't be looking at this. I should
be listening to his beautiful words.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
But let's check out what.

Speaker 5 (36:59):
It says at the top of his post, which was
clearly a screen cap. All Right, we got a food
delivery there that is coming by six twelve. On the left,
it's five twenty nine pm. That's a long delivery when
you've got it a long time.

Speaker 6 (37:14):
And on the rights, he's almost out of battery.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
So you don't think that battery is gonna last by
the time.

Speaker 6 (37:20):
It gets to six ' twelve.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
I think even his phone is dealing with injuries. Christian,
you refer to a con constant test of wills. The
constant test of wills is staring at that little car
emoji on your phone as it weaves through the neighborhood
and tries to get at you in time.

Speaker 6 (37:37):
But here's what I would say. You can feel sorry
for yourself or listen to the.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
Birds, or you can go out to the front door,
wait for that driver to pull up, take the plastic bag,
shake his hand and thank him for the chicken katchatry
and the tuna tartar for your wife. You've been through
a worse Christian. You'll bounce back from this, just like
from this injury. We've all been there and we're all
rooting for you.

Speaker 7 (37:57):
Well, I hope he orders something from my favorite restaurant
in San Francisco and California and polk Crustaceans. Maybe he'll
feel a little bit better. But that was a good work.
