Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yeah, how the mighty have fallen? Not an undefeated team
left remaining in the NFL season. Welcome to Good Morning Football,
presented by Old Trapper Beach Jerkey. It's Monday, October sixth,
Jamie Eardo Manci Teo here in Los Angeles, Mansi wearing
a notre name sweatshirts.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Unceremoniously.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
It is the NFL schedule, not the.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Colleg football schedule.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
That's ti II hell On and Kyle Brann are hanging
out in New York City. Kyle, how are you doing?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
What's going on? I'm doing great. We got all kinds
of things to talk about.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
There are no undefeated teams, yep, there is a winless
team show in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Who had our weekend?
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Were all kinds of things with players former players all
over the place.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Willie and I have a lot to talk about. Mansi
and Jamie do.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
But we had a shock in all evening in Western
New York last night, which is how we.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Will start to show.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
But first let's do the show open for all four
of us.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Here we go rule it. Welcome to Good Morning Football.
Presented by Old Trapper.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah, that's right, GMFB everybody on a Monday Happy early October.
I mentioned the undefeated team thing. It is actually kind
of strange how early it is. Normally we have a
longer standing storyline of a team that's being absolutelyant dominant. However,
it's only the fourth time since nineteen seventy that this
happens that everybody's lost a game. It feels like an
(01:35):
even playing field. And man Satt, you and I were
talking about the Ravens before the show, like, it's just
odd to see some of these teams behaving.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Certain ways, behaving certain ways, playing certain ways, looking certain ways. Guys,
it's been a little strange, and it's Halloween month, but
that is out of the ordinary.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
We don't want it to be scary. No one wants
to be frightful, Kyle. However, maybe that's how Western New
York was feeling last night because Rabel pulled the bills
down to the mud with his teeth.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, when they were in costume early in the All Whites,
we showed this these ice uniforms. Let's go to Western
New York where it was not icy at all. In fact,
the NBC coverage showed how warm it was and there's
boats and loving, but there was not great football. Although
Stefan Diggs was back. It was really cool theater and
he was very warm and friendly. And he's played it
very well in terms of.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
How he's spoken about the fan base.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
And I talked about John and I really credit him
for that. And then best of all, his football was incredible.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
The Bills was not.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
This is Josh Allen and Dawson Knox have played together
for years and they just are off.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
This was a harpinger of things to come for the.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Build sloppy, erratic, everything they haven't been this year.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Watch they get the ball back scoreless.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
They go to keon Coleman Bam another fumble. That's the
second fumble in their own territory of the first quarter
in a team that never turns it over.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
It's just not what they do.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
For all their flaws, they're the best in football and
not giving it away. That's your look of the night
for the Ragning MVB. So meanwhile in New England, let's
get in this thing. Drake may trying to go into
Western New York and shock the place, but Buffalo is
still up ten to six and then Drake's gonna look
and he's gonna find the guy he found.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
All all nights.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
It's a fund to explained, his best game in a
couple of years.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
David the Boogeyman May showed up and was ready for
the fight.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Statistically, aesthetically, symbolically, we're doing the improv thing down the field.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
It's another catcher, Nick, what's the replay of this?
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Watch how strong his hands are right here when he's
gonna get contact and still holds on.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
That's a really impressive hole.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
Yes, he's feeling it.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
He finished with ten for.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
One six and then Rimonde steams who had another fumble
early in the game. Mike Bradle stays with him because
he is a really good runner. He finished with seven carries,
only fourteen yards, but two touchdowns. All right, fuff, we
get this thing together. You're the Bills. You got cool
white uniforms. Let's go, No who.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
That's an interception.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
That is an.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Interception, but Josh Allen again, who doesn't throw very much
of them. It's actually picked off, especially to Shakir. You
don't see it right. Rather, that was a breakup, Jake May. Look,
you're seen a ten Go go go go, guess so
he finds a CAGs Diggs on the sideline. It's an
(04:08):
incredible deal right there. And then keep on moving, keep
on moving. Marcus Jones had the interception back then and
now May over the middle again. Moved the chance. He's
gonna score on this thing. Almost made down inside. There're
make takes down inside the tenth of the Buffalo six
and here it.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Is again, Remandre get home? So walking will it?
Speaker 6 (04:30):
And man, he's a big time running back for the
pass man.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
He just got a hold on to the football.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
What he does he runs well?
Speaker 1 (04:36):
All right, So Josh, you're gonna do the hero thing.
They're down ten under eight to play. Keon Coleman toe
tap back of the end zone. All right, so probably
Alan's gonna pull it out.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
He's the best player in the league. But let's see
what New England has to say about that, Joss and
the ball back.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Now under five to play. Oh great, look at the sideline.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Didn't even got the white jackets for you.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Khalil Shaki looking to make a play.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Where is he? Where is he? Where is he?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Look for Shakiro Alam's amazing on the sideline.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
They box him in over the middle.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
No Christian Gonzalez was really good at the end of
this game.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Look at that you see that he says screw you.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah or something like that. That body wing, We're not
good at all. Twenty all. Drake Mason is n up
of Josh Allen. I'm chuck watch this play. Oh oh,
and it digs again. That's an incredible place because it
moves the chains.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
We're burning timeouts. That is an Allen asked sive arm
to the d Lineman. Oh ray two. Fantastic play he does.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Josh Allen just sitting there watching like.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
It's arrowhead in January, but it's not. It's time mark
in October.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
And on the sideline again, Drake and may look really clutch.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
That's it between coub of two.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
That's a hard thrill.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Great job by.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Break drops it in the Kaishan Boute who always has
so much fun on the broadcast.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Now Drake made is gonna get scoed down here, but
he goes down in bound so fine, buffalo out of timeouts,
melting all the way down. Mike Brable's been in this
spot a million times, and it's.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
A kick we're showing to. It's either gonna be good or.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Blocked, it's gonna be good not blocked, So you.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Know it's good.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
That is.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Indeed, Borick gotdless ft W. Buffalo takes the.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
L the fond Diggs incredible, Drake may flutch the Patriots win.
This team lost to the Raiders a few weeks ago
back and they just went into Western.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
New York to get to three and two.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Biggest win of Drake Made's young career, certainly the biggest
win for Mike Brable in his short tenure as the
Patriots head coach, but a loss for Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Let's hear from both quarterbacks. Started with the young guy
who got the dub.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
And that was that was fun. That's a tough one.
Speaker 8 (06:37):
I took everybody in that locker room and the guys
came out and we battled.
Speaker 7 (06:40):
You didn't play the best in the first half.
Speaker 8 (06:42):
The defense helped us out and we came back offensively
and got some things going and two men drive of
the end.
Speaker 7 (06:47):
Just go down and win it. That's what you want,
you know.
Speaker 8 (06:49):
My dad and my boy has always said, you know,
basketball or baseball, the last player, the last shot.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
You want the ball in my hands.
Speaker 8 (06:54):
So I'm not gonna lose that mindset, you know, to
keep that mindset in my whole career.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
We just played stopping.
Speaker 8 (07:00):
I'm not gonna win a football game, turning the ball
over three times in our red zone, gave them one
in their red zone.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
That's just bad football.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
And we just did not play good tonight.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I can imagine the Bills and Josh All not happy
about that performance on Sunday Night football. But the Patriots
went home after that road trip to Western New York
with a win and with the newfound respect and confidence
within the division.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Drake May looked great.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
At one point, Manti Chris Collins was saying, if I'm
the Bills defense, I'm not letting Drake May get out
to his right and throw it because it was a
completion completion, and it seems like Stefan Digs always.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Steped up for Yah. It's always to his right.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Drake May was always going to his right, and he
always would find number eight somewhere on the sideline doing
his thing. Listen, I think when you look at Stefan
Diggs and you understand his history with the Buffalo Bills.
During his four years at Buffalo, he had four consecutive
one thousand yard rushing receiving seasons. He is fourth in
Bill's franchise history for receptions, reception yards, and touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
So do you think this guy took it personal?
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Do you think that he came into Himark Stadium when
he stepped off the bus a goal to make people regret,
to make people remember what he was able to do
for them for those four years. For weeks one through five,
he averaged five receptions for.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Fifty three yards. Last night he doubled the receptions.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Shame.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
He had ten receptions and almost triple these yards with
one hundred and forty six yards. But it wasn't just
the stuff on the field that he was doing. It
was the stuff that he was doing.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Off the field, how.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
He was greeting his teammates, how he was on the sideline.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
You could read his lips were, okay, let's go, let's
step it up.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
I got us. That's what we saw from Stefan Dicks.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
It was so nice to see him coming to his
own It was so nice to see him to be
comfortable with Drake May And like you said, Collins, Arthur
was saying all night long, for some reason, the Bills
keep letting Drake Mate get to his right and every
time he scrambled to his right, he's found number eight.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
So Willie, it was so good to see.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Stefan Dicks make his way back to Highmark Stadium and
make a mark on the football game.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
Yeah, but I got to tip my head off to
Drake may When he came out of college, I didn't
really think much about him. I kind of just thought
he was just going to be another guy. But last night,
for his first prime time start, he grew up right
before our eyes. First half, I thought he took it
some time to kind of get his witch and figure
it out. But the second half he was on an
absolute eater.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Man.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
You talk about a guy who was thirteen for fourteen.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
Eighty four yards.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
And what were smart about what the Pats did. Man,
They leaned on a run game. They forced the Bills
linebackers to play a little close to the line of
scrimmage so Drake Ma can see those intermediate thrills.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
He could play a little.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
Bit outside those numbers for these explosive plays. Drake May, Man,
I'm sorry I got out this young man in apologies.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
I'm a fan now, simply how he played in.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
The second half, Because you talk about stepping into hostile territory.
You know what the game means for d You know
it would be in a quarterback that we're going to
come after you. But he stood in the pocket. He
was confident, he was composed, he was ready for the day,
and he showed up in a major way, especially in
that two minute drive for the game winning FIELDO Man Drake.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
May took my head off to the young fella.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
No, I feel exactly what you're saying, because if he.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Were watching football all day yesterday, in the early window,
whenever it was there's a bad quarterback player, let's just
call it what it is.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
We love football, we love the league. It was rough.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
It was rough to see either guys who are playing
someone because their quarterback is injured or teams that just
don't have a quarterback. You watch that and you're like, Okay,
the Patriots have a quarterback. Welcome to the group of teams,
this elusive, exclusive club of guys that have a quarterback.
He's got a lot to work on, he's got a
lots to grow, but they have a guy left. Understand
what happened last night. This was not just a win
(10:29):
in prime time for young quarterback. The Bills had won
thirteen straight at home.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
That's over.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
The Bills had scored thirty plus in each game. That's
not over.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
The Bills had won the turnover battle. However, many games
in a row.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
That's not over.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Drake May went in there and won. That is exactly
what he was drafted to do. That is what Mike
Bravery was hired to do. It wasn't to beat the Jets,
it wasn't to beat the Dolphins. It was to beat
the Josh Allen Bills, and he just did it. I
take exception with Sean McDermott. Afterwards he says, we beat ourselves.
Bullet ps. Sean, No, you're not got by, got beat
by Drake May and Mike Brabel. I know you had
(11:04):
self inflicted mistakes. You also had some mistakes inflicted upon you,
including at the end of the game when the young
quarterback led the clock out and kicked the game winning
field goal. While you guys got your fancy uniforms and
your fancy white outs, that white out worked as well
for you this weekend, as Penn State played this weekend,
all right another with the white outs.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
None of that stuff.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
I get out of here with the white outs. Listen
I'm very vocal about the Bills. I'm excited about the Bills.
When they take a loss like that and the franchise
quarterback is saying, we played sloppy and played bad, you're
gonna hear about it. It's not Listen the Bills. They
weren't gonna go seventeen and who cares. They lost the game.
But they didn't just lose a game. They lost the
game to a division rival who's been looking for ways
to beat them, and they drafted the quarterback and hired
(11:42):
the coach to do it, and last night they did.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
They will see this team again. They may see this
team in the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Who the hell knows, But for one night, after a
day of some just awful, awful quarterback player around the league,
New England, you can wake up this morning be like, we.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Got a guy and we just took out the guy,
so we got good things coming. Listen, guys, and Willie
tell me not.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
When this game is going down and you start to
see that first half and all those mistakes and the turnovers,
that was the first time I saw Josh Josh Allen
get tackled and he kind of got up slow a
little bit immediately in my head, my football brain went
to coach Shaw mcdermot's never gonna wear these jerseys again ever,
like ever, this is the worst that I've seen the
Buffalo Bill's playing sometimes, guys, and we've been saying it
(12:24):
this morning. This there are turnovers, there were just mistakes.
Josh Allen looked like he got he got hurt a
little bit on on one play when he landed on
his hip, and I was like, they're never wearing these
These jerseys are beautiful, they're sick, but that's that's the
worst that I've seen.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
This Buffalo Bill's team. So, Willie, I know you had
some coaches.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
That after a game like this would say we will
never ever wear.
Speaker 6 (12:46):
That combo ever again. Yeah, but uniforms don't make plays.
You got to give credit to the past defense man.
They look like a different outfit when Christian Gonzalez on
the field.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
They played together, Milton.
Speaker 6 (12:57):
Jones, how does defense and how did not how they
played man' that's how they compete it. I can't I
can't stress enough and time you could pay some at
testament to this. It's hard to match your opponent's energy
on the road, right because they're comfortable, like Tom said
they got the all Whites prime time, Josh Allen, they're
feeling themselves.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
They're undefeated.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
Nevertheless, man, this Patriots defense said, you know, we don't care.
We come in to fight in a battle. So credit
to Mike Vrabel. He got that defense ready to hum
and they got after This is the best player in
this game was by far with Stefundigs. He was Thigs
was awesome last night, just unstoppable.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
They could not guard it.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
It felt like he was a superstar receiver. And I
just have to say for old players, for young players.
Stefan Diggs also put on a clinic in media and
relations and football and returning to your old stadium from
the get go, every sound bite, his interaction with the fans,
it's interacting with McDermott, with Allen, his quotes after the game,
(13:53):
like it was all positive, it was all friendly, it
was all constructive, and I really do think it was
an authentic I've said this many times. Stefan Diggs, for
as bad as the divorce was, was a great Buffalo
bill who played some great games, and there should not
be any animosity. Of course they broke up. They are
competitive people. That happens if you are going to return
to your old team, or let's say, oh, I don't know,
you're a receiver on the Eagles right now, who may
(14:15):
play the Eagles in the future sometime not a member
of the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Watch Stefon Diggs and.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
What he did last night, but more than a watch,
listen to what he said, because I think Stefan Diggs
earned huge respect last night around the league because he
can still play and he was a total classic gentleman
and Stefan Diggs, I respect you for it.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Everybody, watch and listen what he did.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Yeah, Kyle, his awareness, it felt like, was at a
level ten because I think, unfortunately for Stefon Diggs what
people have watched of him over the last couple of years,
what we saw last night was the antithesis of probably
what people would have expected from him. So really cool
by him, really great behavior. And shout out to the
Mike Rabel Drake may led Patriots because the AFC looks
(14:55):
a little bit more interesting this morning after that Sunday
night football game. Moving on, Ian Rappaport, Good morning to
you are NFL Network insider, joining US rap Sheet. I
hate to say this with the team that plays across
the street here the LA Chargers. They have an adding
an added list to their injury woes that we have
to talk about after their game against the Commanders on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (15:14):
Yeah, Chargers re own a little bit a feel good
start to the year, but certainly it has turned around
a blowout loss to the Washington Commanders and then potentially
may have lost Amarion Hampton. They're one of their stars,
one of their young stars. They're starting running back for
period of time. He's dealing with an ankle injury. He
was spotted and I walk in walking boot leaving the stadium.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Generally that is an indication that the player can miss
some time.
Speaker 9 (15:37):
He's gonna have some tests today just to determine how
bad that ankle spraint is. But obviously if he has
to miss some time with Los Angeles Chargers, just another
bad injury blow to the position. Remember they also lost
Naji Harris to a torn achilles He is out for
the season. Hassan Haskins and Kamani Vidal are their backup
running backs. Then, with an eye toward tonight's game, the
(15:59):
Kansas City Chiefs had a little sort of injury scare.
I would say, yesterday, Xavier Worthy popped up on the
injury pourt with an ankle along with his shoulder. My
understanding is kind of just turned his ankle a little.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Bit, woke up swollen. They put it on the report.
Speaker 9 (16:13):
He is fine, He is expected to go more of
a precaution than anything else. Worthy has been excellent since
he returned playing with that torn labram and then Trayvon Walker,
the Jacksonville Jaguars Star edge former number one overall picked
two sacks as far this season. He actually had risk
surgery this week this week. Still it's his questionable. Feels
(16:33):
to me like a long shot for him to be
able to be out there. They want to leave it
up to him how he feels tonight, but certainly seems
like more likely than not Walker will be watching his
first game post surgery.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
All right, rap Sheet appreciate you so much. Too bad
for Mario and Hampton. We as a show interactive with
him last week. You'll hear about that tomorrow on GMFB.
But we wish him the best moving forward. Fresh off
a forty to forty tie which just had people in
the NFL world up in arms about how in your
feels about ties?
Speaker 3 (17:02):
The Cowboys went to New.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
York and made sure there was no such outcome for them.
On a Sunday, Dak had the offense, clicking forty against
the Packers thirty seven yesterday points on the board, Kyle,
they bested the Jets.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, I was disappointed by that.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
I didn't want the Cowboys to lose, but I wanted
them to tie. I want them to tie every week.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (17:19):
I enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Plus, the game of the day took place Baker versus Darnold.
It was everything you could possibly want. We talked a
lot about the shared history between these two. Well, the
shared present was incredible too. And the best time of
every single week is Baker o'clock at the end of
the game.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
It is always amazing. It's always a lot of that.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Everybody give your game balls, your favorite game, your least
favorite game.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Good morning football on a Monday. It's a salad bar
of football. Everybody dig in good morning football. All right,
here we go. You want it, you got it.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
You love them throwbacks everybody, But I don't love a
thirteen nothing game early. I want competitiveness, and we got it.
Touchdown Jackson Smith and Jimpy had eight for one thirty two.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
This everybody eight in this game?
Speaker 1 (18:09):
They really did you know who always eats a Mecca
at Buka. There's a Rookie of the Year. I'm calling
it right now, Willie already Paul is done.
Speaker 5 (18:17):
Guess what?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
He had a touchdown and then he also got the
two pointed version.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
He does everything. I love a Mecca book, but he's
Terry Rice.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
I am.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
I couldn't be more in on it forour Jerry Rice.
Fourth and two Donald look out. He knows it to
Cory Horton.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
From p ninety x twenty one yard touchdown.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Sam Donald making a hero play here. This game was
as advertised.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Didn't you love this?
Speaker 3 (18:36):
I love a Sam Donald man playing big at home?
Speaker 5 (18:39):
Needed it? Paddy?
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Guess what Baker says he's like and is Kyle giving
you to take it on a Mecca at Buka?
Speaker 3 (18:45):
He says he's Jerry Rice and there he is straight
to Kenton.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
He's running all the way to Ohio twenty five yards.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
Abuka.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Finish was seven for one sixty three and a touchdown
twenty eight to thirty five Baker down. Don't Baker under
two minutes to go in the fourth of course, of course,
startling Shipchepbard.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
This is the most exciting time of the week. I
say it all the time.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
I'll talk about more Baker o'clock and then on a
second and two with undred minutes ago, Donald's interception.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Watch the river's angle.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
Off the helmet of Logan Hall. So it's kind of
a weird interception, but it's a massive one.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Here's a kicker. It's either blocked or good. Which one
is it? They have to block it, they didn't block it,
it's good.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Twenty twenty five kicks are only blocked or good. It
doesn't matter if they're from ninety six yards.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
One of those two will happen.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Look at the sweatshirt on top of foot all books sweatshirt.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Guys. The Bucks are so exciting and so fun.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
And by the way, four and one Seahawks are a
really good team three to two, though they lose at
home three and two. Meanwhile, Baker I compared to Buka
it to and Jerry Rice. Listen to who the Bucks
kicker is getting compared to.
Speaker 8 (19:51):
Okay, Chase mcloto was the ones with wather flue game
out here, but have perfect game.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
So this is this cool game. Yeah, it's his flu game.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
It's not exactly Michael jordan stature, but we'll take it.
How dare you, Baker?
Speaker 2 (20:05):
If you're gonna do the Blue game parallel, you gotta
commit fully.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
No, don't take that from him.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Don't knock the man down a peg just because he
doesn't match Jordan's stature.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Nobody does.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
But if the moment applies, then make the parallel. Commit
to it.
Speaker 10 (20:19):
Right.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Kyle Baker cools a cucumber in that game, and at
the press.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Conference as well.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
The story goes that Bucks kicker Chase McLoughlin was in
his hotel in Seattle the night before. He ordered a
pizza and the pizza came and it felt a little
bit weird and he had food poisoning. And some people
think that he was poisoned by the Red No, that's
the story of Michael Jordan. Scotty had to carry it.
I doubt that Chase McLoughlin was poisoned. But listen you
as the NFL fan. I mentioned this earlier. The quarterback
(20:45):
play yesterday was not great, and there's a lot of
guys out there You're like, what is he doing out there?
So you got to get a foothold on something foothold
for your entertainment minute dollar and everything.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
You just watched the Bucks.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Watch the Bucks specifically in the fourth quarter because they
don't always win. They lost one, but it's always incredible.
And Baker Mayfield is Brett Barred.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
That meets Doug Flutie. Right now, we did Jordan, we
did Barv. It is Farv meets fluty. He's out there.
It doesn't matter. There's no Mike Evans.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
He's just gonna throw to Agbuka every single time.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
He's four and one. Their top three team in the
NFL right.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Now, And like yesterday, it was one of those days
where like, I'm not sure who's that good in the
league right now. So like the Bills lose, they look
really bad. The Eagles lose, they're obviously flawed, like they're
the Chargers are having problems. I'm not sure who the
best teams are right now. I know that Tampa at
the end of things, is going to have a say
in this. They may win the playoff game, they may lose.
(21:40):
If they stay healthy, they're going to be there. I
don't mention the three letters. The first one is M,
the last one is P. When it's October sixth, I
hate that, but Baker is playing better than anybody in
the league. It's basically like him and Dak Prescott are
fantastic right now. So Baker a clock is the best
time of the week, and the Bucks are four and
one again, and those logos are beautiful in Cologne.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Yeah, I thought.
Speaker 6 (21:59):
Yesterday's storyline for the Bucks was no Mike Evans, no Rashi,
excuse me, I'm losing his name.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
He's out there every single time.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
White, No Bucky Polo, I got you.
Speaker 6 (22:11):
But nevertheless, man, we gotta highlight the big U leagues
up front and it starts with Tristan Warfs. Can I
show you this play? This is why you gotta feed
your office line, and you gotta let it be nice
to him.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Tristan Wolf two. Man, Baby, the big fella anchored this
office line. If you talk about clean up and how
too did I have of a job of really leading
the way? Man?
Speaker 6 (22:33):
It's it's crazy, man, because as much as you want
to highlight Baker and the great he had an eighty
seven percent completion rate. Yeah, he was amazing. He was
He was nickling Diamond all over the place. But the
boys up front show it up, man, And when you
talk about Rashid White and how he played in the
screen game, we talk about a mecha and how explosive
he was, and you talk about Baker Mayfield sitting in
(22:54):
the pocket delivering time after time, and have this Seahawks
defense that had any answers for this offense. It's solely
because the boys up front met the challenge. They understood
being on the road playing against the twelve men, they
had to be bigger than.
Speaker 5 (23:06):
Life, and they did.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
Trisian Wolf's I've always been a fan of him, man,
But yes, if you watch this kid in the red zone,
the reason why they were so efficient in the red zone,
the Bucks, that is because that office line, Tristian Wolf,
they put their head down and they was digging and
scrapping and fighting. So credit to the big uglyes up front, man,
they deserve a game ball too.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
We went quarterbacks, we went the big uglies, We had
a fluty far and all of that stuff. Guys, Okay,
I'm going to go receivers, but I'm going to go
both receivers. And what I mean by both receivers as
both of these receivers happened to go to the same
college at Ohio State, and if I am Ryan Day
or Ohio State's recruiting office, whenever I get a recruit
(23:45):
and just put on this videotape because Jackson Smith and
jig Blenny and Mecca and Guka, they just that's.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
All we heard all afternoon long.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Where these two guys, this is their stats from the game,
guys in Mecca Buka became the first ever rookie with
twenty five plus receptions five plus receiving TVs in his
first five career games.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Jackson Smith and Jagub became the first.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Seahawk player with five hundred plus receiving yards in the
first five games of the season. Like Google, right now,
it's hard to it's hard to argue that he's not
the offensive rookie of the year right now.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
It's it's hard to argue that. But that man right there, number.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Eleven, and though sick throwback jerseys from Seattle was sick
on the football field, like it was never a time
where I looked at this game was like it's never
out of reach for the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Because they had that man.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
And this is not to take away from the fact
that both teams had their their their number two receiver
in there.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Yeah, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had Chris Godwin and Cooper
couple is with Seattle Seahawks. These guys still put up
the numbers they did. So if I am Ryan Day,
if I am Ohio State, it's just unfair.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Guys.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Every single year we have receivers from LSU and Ohio
State and they seem to be at the top of
the list every single year. So man, that's what I
got from this game. Besides those six jerseys that they
were wearing.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Sweet looking jerseys. I agree with you, mansie.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
All right, let's get it over with Cowboys. Jets are
in Glenn trying to get that dove and you gotta
supple Cowboys defense coming in, so you should.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Be able to score a lot, right.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Jake Ferguson's having a year, guys, Big Jack Ferguson. This
is one of two touchdowns on the day. He had
seven catches. He's really picked up for Ceedee Lamb and
Dak Prescott's been.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Electric, just really electric. Give him all his career. We
got a Jake Ferguson dancing on the field, all right.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Justin fields, for the love of God, should be what
you got.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Brace Hall. They want you to be a star. Please
let the bah to fumble. It is a fumble.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Watched Maris lea fou boom.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
She had to left hand and that is another fumble.
And enemy territory and Glenn seeing a lot.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
Of all that, Mike Tyson punch out, Kyle really is
king Hippo.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Don Flamenco pissedon Honda and Javonte Williams five yard sesches,
fifth rushing Jonathay Williams having a year.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
He really is sixteen for one.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Thirty five yesterday and two touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Third quarter. Cowboys are up twenty. This is not a
good game.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Jets fans there to see the home team and Copa.
Speaker 6 (26:05):
It's not a push off cow It's all little push off.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Two stars down twenty.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
You're not getting that.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
George Pickens has been excellent, guys. Give him his credit.
He's been excellently at sauce. And Glenn looks horrible and
Will He's gonna talk in a second. This was This
is not a great This is not a great time
for the Jets, even amongst the Jets.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
Not great times.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Thirty seven twenty two. We got a bunch of garbage
stats at the end from Justin Fields. I think we
heard no sound. We're just gonna talk, Jamie, get us
out of here. I don't want to talk about this
game any more less.
Speaker 5 (26:34):
We're talking to.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Cowboys, well we are, we are going to And the
way that the Cowboys, specifically Dak Prescott, have been so
impressive in navigating life in their offense without ceedee lamb
here they are. They show up in New York and
they just drop one on the New York Jets. Manti
specifically though, it's the way the Cowboys were able to
handle their business after the two minute warning.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yeah, after the two minute It's crazy, guys. These guys
scored fourteen points in forty two seconds. After Breest Hall
has that fumble, they go seven plays for ninety one
yards and cap it off with the Jefonte Williams touchdown.
The Jets get the ball back with fifty seven seconds
left in the half.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
They go three and out with the pump.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Dadas gets the ball with twenty nine seconds no timeouts,
and then this happens.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
Ya.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Bonte Williams goes up the middle for sixty six yards
and gets hit out of.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Bounds on the one or the two yard line.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
It didn't matter because the next play you have Ferguson,
like kV said, is having a game, a second touchdown
of the day.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
They just scored fourteen points.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Guys in forty two seconds, Like, how does that happen?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Like that's how bad it was.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Like if if the Breeze Hall fumble wasn't bad enough,
that was that was a nil and coffin for the Jets,
in my opinion, was those fourteen points in such a
short amount of time.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Yeah, the Cowboys look really good. I'm gonna try. I'm
gonna try to stay positive.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
I hate negative mondays where we say this team sucks
this player, So I really don't like that. The Cowboys
look really good. Dak Prescott's playing really heroic football. I
know they're two two and one and the record isn't good.
They lost probably the best player in their team. If
it's not Dak at CD. The thing about the Jets, Okay,
I wasn't expect great things this year. You just look
for progress. You look for little things to be like, ah,
(28:09):
I can see that's gonna become something.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
They're building something there.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
And if you want to make the comparison to Dan
Campbell with Aaron Glenn, Dan Campbell start with a whole
bunch of losses and they turned it around.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I'm not seeing much.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
You got to give me something, and specifically if you've
seen the statistic, and if you have it, it will
blow your mind. The Jets through five games do not
have a single takeaway and defense.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
What does that mean.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
They haven't recovered a fumble, they haven't had an interception
even so much as like the other team just messes
up and drops it and a Jet jumps on. They
have nothing Like they played the Dolphins this year and
they don't have a single takeaway because the one thing
we thought Aaron Glenn would bring with Like I know
they're missing this, this and that, but this team is
gonna play defense and they're gonna hit, and under Aaron Glenn,
they'll be zero. So, Willie, you're a former Jet, I'm
(28:56):
gonna turn to you. There's been some very tough times
for this organization recently, twenty years ago, thirty years ago.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
How are you feeling around?
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Give it.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
It's like a state of the Nation of the Jets.
I'm trying to stay positive, but I passed it baton
to you.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
Yeah, it's hard to process right, because I think you
hit it right on the head. Aaron Glenn was supposed
to be the NLB all to really change the ship,
and we haven't seen any production.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
This is this is a lot of what happened last year.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
It seems like it's Groundhall's day is continue, undisciplined football,
bad tackling, on and on and on.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
But this is this is the thing.
Speaker 6 (29:27):
If you go to the yes of the game, it
started second quarter, the score is ten to three. Right,
they start marching breeze Hall. He has nine seventy eight yards.
Then he fumbles on the nine yard lock. Then you
watch from that point on the Jets lay down and
play did for the rest of the game.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
And the problem with that is this team has a
core of guys.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
You're talking about Quin Williams, youre talking about Soft Gardner,
Garrett Wilson. All these guys come from winning programs. Not
that they're in Jet uniforms on the pro level, they
haven't won anything. So when you say to you, if
you're a Jets fan, like man, I watched football over
the league, I watched gotstro in exception is fumbled, but
somehow they kind of get out of it and they
find their way on other side of things, either with
a win or a scrappy, tough loss.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Nevertheless, man, we watched this Jets team week.
Speaker 6 (30:09):
After week just lay down after a significant fumble or turnover, and.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
You're trying to say, how is this possible?
Speaker 6 (30:15):
Because these young guys don't have any winning data, right,
they have nothing to lean on. When you don't have
winning or a comeback win in on your resume, it's
hard to tap into, especially when you want to propel
yourself and come out.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
Of a gritty situation.
Speaker 6 (30:28):
So when you talk about the lack of competent quarterback play,
where you talk about no takeaways, when you talk about
this team lay down after a significant turnover, is because
they don't have no data. They've been losing for so long.
So this is going to be a tough uphill climb
for Aaron Glenn. How can he take this trauma based
football team and realize, Hey, Man, footballs and interceptions happen,
(30:48):
footballs and turnovers happen, but you got to continue to
fight and win. Yesterday we saw the Jets lay down. Man,
They're own five and it looks like dark times. We'll
continue for the New York just unless they turn it around.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
I like that will a winning data. It's like in severance,
like they're looking at code. They're not sure what they're
looking four on the screen, but like at some point
when they see it, they'll know it, and until then
it just looks like a bunch of hieroglyphics. Kyle, just
a welfare check on the editorial department for the back
section of the New York Post. I just assume we're
riding baseball out through the rest of this month. The
way things are going for the Jets and.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
The Giants, you better believe it. We have Canada.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
As the Yankees get robbled by the Blue Jays again.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
It's getting so bad that even the font is getting smaller.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
So if you look all the way at the bottom,
it says no one is worse with the tiny picture
of end Glenn because they're the only team who doesn't
ever win. But then we transition up at the top.
Giants just give it away. We were feeling so much
good will for the young Giants. Let's see what happened
when they went to the Big Easy where it was
anything but you're a Giants, You're like you're facing Spencer
(31:52):
Rattler he's never won a game. You're facing a new
head coach. You're been paying the Saints. This is when
you're supposed to win. Well, not really. Spencer Rattler went
out and chucked it to this guy, Rasiji.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
You're not catch him. You can stop running right there.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Boys, I appreciate the hustle, but you're not catching him.
He's passing this hell has eighty seven yards, longest touchdown
for the Saints since twenty sixteen. Drew Breeze, There, Jackson Dart,
do something. You're great with your legs. We love you,
You're cool.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
We got boxing. He just straight up and drops the ball.
Watch the reverse angle of this.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
He of course he's hitting himself. This is an inexplicable fumble,
and nobody even come.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Do too much the Jets.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
The Jets can't get a takeaway like that where the
guy just drops it, just taking a charity takeaway. And
then my nephew Cam goes out there and he fumbles
at you, so they return it for six. The two
coolest giants completely mess up and drop the ball, and
then the sideline scat who's like.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Shouting for gloves. Watch you're gonna see this. I'm i need.
I need my gloves. I don't care. Get some damn gloves.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
That's Jordan Howd and I should have given him a
lot more credit.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
Made eighty six yard touchdown. I'm talking about this guy
with gloves.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
The Saints win a game. They are now one and four.
The Giants lose the game. They are now one and four.
Jackson Dart it's crazy, bad fumble and two interceptions, Jamie heard.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
I'll take it away.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Yeah, why is takeaway now the word of the day
when it comes to the two highlights from the two
teams in New York and Frankly, Western New York didn't
really suffer as they suffered the same fate as well.
On Sunday Night, Mantai talking about takeaways.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
From the Giant takeaways.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
If Camp'scattaboo needed gloves, I think multiple people on that
team needed gloves because the first two series that the
Giants had great touchdown touchdown, fourteen points.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
The next eight guys.
Speaker 10 (33:37):
Punt punt, fumble, fumble, fumble, interception, interception, end in the game,
turnover on downs, do it again, punt punt punt fumble
by Darius Satan, Get him some gloves, Bumba by Jackson Dart.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
I don't think gloves will save him on that one
bumba by Cam Scataboo which is picked up and returned
for a touchdown for the Saints. Interception, interception. Don't turnover
on downs. This is the things guys. After the win
against the Charges we talked about in this last week.
Can they come back and beat a team that a
lot of people were anticipating that they would beat. This
(34:11):
is a sign that they're not ready just shit. This
is a sign that they're still young. This is a
sign that they do have a lot of rookies playing
the game. They just lost their franchise receiver and Elik Neighbors,
so I hope they were able to rebound from that
because out of all ten possessions, two of them they
scored the other eight turnovers.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
That one week was fun, though, wasn't it. We had
a hell of a week with those Giants. I did
think it was a little weird that the Giants won
a game and.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
We treated it like you know, the dog peede outside
and they give it a treat. They are like, guys,
they're one and three. We're leading the show at the Giants.
Then they go to the to the Saints, the twenty
twenty five Saints and lose. It shows you what happens
when you are a winner in New York. You win
one game against the Chargers, and there really is a
veritable parade in New York City of adulation and excitement.
(34:59):
Then you lose and listen, like, I don't know if
we're going to talk about Giants for a while.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
I hate this.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Their next three games are the Eagles, the Broncos, and
the Eagles again. Oh, the Eagles have their own issues.
Maybe the Giants can take advantage of it. But listen,
Jackson Dart has a terrible fumble. Scot who has a
terrible fumble that they pick up and run. This is
a heavily flawed team that had a really good win,
and we crowed about it for six days and it
was about dancing and backflips and swag and six seven
(35:26):
and all that crap, like bad, bad, bad loss on
the road.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
I hate to say it, but it's miserable here in
New York right now.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
I'm so negative right now? Great job who that who that?
I love you guys, go ahead, will yeah.
Speaker 6 (35:38):
I think the goal for Jackson Dart is not just
to be an athletic quarterback, he has to be an
elite processor. And now I think a lot of times
when he gets in trouble he uses his legs. It's okay,
but it was a supposed to be a weapon. You
can't rely on them all the time. But when you
see time after time with a young quarterback when his
oys drop and they take away his number one read,
he gets he looks average out there. So he's going
to have to learn from this and understand when the
ball's in your hand and that's your life, man, so
(35:59):
protect your life and get the job done.
Speaker 5 (36:01):
Hopefully he can bounce back next week.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
I'm going to make an educated guess hosted the show
now going on four seasons that I'm not sure a
play from the Jets of the Giants highlight is going
to be in our Rewind that segment which is still
to colm on GMFB because contrary to how Kyle's acting,
we optimism, Rainbow, Sunshine, puppies, something happy. So rewind that
coming up on GMFB, plus some more highlights from your team.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Good Morning Football.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
He s doesn't just highlights and pick our favorite plays
and talk about our guys. Sherry Burris is here to
challenge the brain today, Cherry, what do you have for
a little Monday morning trivia for you? We just can't
get enough of Stefon Diggs in that.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Win right with the Patriots.
Speaker 11 (36:49):
He made the most of his return to Buffalo, New
York last night, playing in that first game back at
high Mark Stadium. We talked about it earlier, he last
played there in that twenty twenty three season. Well, he
led the Patriots with ten catches for one hundred and
forty six yards in that win. So we asked you
on social media, also going to come around ask you
guys here at the table in New York. Diggs became
(37:11):
just the third wide receiver and NFL history to have
at least ten receptions in a game for four different teams,
Right Diggs doing it with the Vikings, Bills, Texans.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
And now the Patriots. So you guys are sort of
mulling this over tes a lot? It is a lot.
Can you think of the two other players who have
accomplished this feat?
Speaker 11 (37:34):
Willie and Kyle. I'm gonna go to you guys first,
Do you have an idea? Do you need a hint?
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Are you feeling confident?
Speaker 1 (37:39):
So Willy and I Willie and I were both thinking
about this, and I think we have this feeling that
we have the same answer.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
So here's what we're gonna do.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
We're gonna look.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
At the camera and I'm gonna say three to one,
and then we'll say, let's see if we have the
same answer.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
You got yours? Ready, let's do it? Okay?
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Three two one? Brandon Marshall? Yeah? Is it right?
Speaker 5 (38:00):
Though?
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Right? Is it right? We want to hit there? Guys
have one too? Okay, wait to correct answer letters? O
two three?
Speaker 11 (38:14):
Are we all right?
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Yeah? You're all right? Oh god A right to guys.
It's Brandon Marshall and all right.
Speaker 11 (38:24):
You guys are doing great on a Monday mornings the
holiday we Brandon Marshall only other two players. I wouldn't
know how we all came up with the right answers
doing it with the Niners, Eagles, Cowboys and Bengals, Marshall,
Broncos and Dolphins, Bears and Jets.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
That should have been the tie breaker.
Speaker 11 (38:41):
Honestly, you guys would have also named the teams.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
I have a question, can we research? Can we look
into this? Did te O do it with a fifth team?
Did he do it with the Bills as well, because
he might have done it another team, like just let's
look into that.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
It's because but he was really productive with the Bills too.
I got you, yeah, look into that.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Rewind that there's some play you just have to see twice.
And there were no shortage of options and candidates this
week in Mansai.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
You lead us off.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
You know kV has the anger runs. I'm gonna make
something with these big hits. Kay, I'm gonna bring the
big hits back to television. So we're gonna go to
this game the Raiders versus Coats and watch Jeremy.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Chin, whooh my lord, Then give.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
Me some major right two thousand and nine BCS Championship
vibes right there against Oklahoma.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
Throw them all again, Danny Dimes. Jeremy Chin. Not only
does he delivered a big hit, but he hits him
so hard. H his feet never touch the ground. It's
an incomplete pass. That's what you want to do, guys.
That's how you play clean, but you play violent. That's
my rewind that for this week.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
My least favorite thing is to take a highway from
the same game, but I feel obligated to ziere Franklin,
what's up? Just absolutely slung out of a slingshot for
the Colts defense on this play to.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Take down Gino Smith.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
That sack last three seconds barely and he did the
Shack Leonard homage to his sax celebration. Zayer Franklin. The
defense looks great for the Colts. They're holding teams at
ten points or.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
Less all the time.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
It feels like offense cool, defense even better, and that's
how you win games. Now, the Colts are also doing
something really cool. You see that Ji patch on Zayeer's chest.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
He was the Jim Urse guitar bearer.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Guys, they're picking a different player every week to walk
in with the Jim Ursa guitar. First it was DeForrest Fuckner,
Wuenton Nelson, Kenny Moore, Jonathan Taylor was last week, and
then Zayere.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
So he was feeling himself. Willie, I know that's cool
for the Colts.
Speaker 5 (40:37):
Cool. Yeah, it was an ugly day for the Jets.
Speaker 6 (40:39):
Man, but there was one Bryce Bryce spot and that's
Garrett Wilson Man. He's he's the blueprint for the Jets
or Unfortunately it was a rough day for him, but
he did have one Hall of a catch, one hand
snag Garrett Wilson. If he doesn't get this ball, this
is falling in the hands of Treyvond Diggs. So credit
Garrett Wilson man showing hand catch with the big glove
pulling it in.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
He just got to see it.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
It was nasty good. It's a great catch.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
And since ironic that we're rewinding in the Jets because
most of their stuff we want.
Speaker 5 (41:06):
To fast forward.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
That's a different segment, right.
Speaker 1 (41:10):
You gotta fast forward that. That's a new segment we're
gonna do. All right, listen to the Eagles lost yesterday.
We're gonna talk about it shortly. Everybody's talking about it.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
But we got the majesty of a very dramatic hail Mary.
Just let's see it. Jalen play. It takes his time.
He throws at the back of the end zone.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
He has two extremely talented wide receivers there and look
what happens. Oh, Davante has this sucker. Davante Smith is
going to catch this and I swear it it kind
of looks like a J. Brown breaks it up. Of course,
he's just going for the ball and trying to make
him play wat J J.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
From Mody said he's got it, and that's his own
guy breaks it up. AJ.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
It's like, when it's not your day, it's not your day.
And when it's not your year in the passing game,
maybe it's not your year. I feel like DeVante Smith
was gonna come down with this and it's going to
make a walk off Hail Mary and his own guy,
albeit trying to make a play himself, like knocks it
out of there. I feel like that was like a
clutch defensive play for the Broncos. When it's not right,
(42:06):
it goes really wrong, and it was just not their
day in Philadelphia, to say, for fifteen different reasons.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
Mate, go back to that play, go back to the
plate real quick. Can you watch Jalen hurry racket after
he throws the ball. I just saw this. Watch it run, like,
where are you going, Jail. I think he's trying to make.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
It justin go to catch tips itself all the way
back to you watch it thirty yards he starts running.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
Already, effort, guys, effort, Jalen.
Speaker 5 (42:31):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
If they can't catch it, Jaya's gonna catch it. Let's
see it again, you know.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
AJ kind of looks like when you're playing like pool
basketball with your buddies and you just take a guy
down like he didn't Timba ball.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
I feel like he hugged hiout. He's like, I'm taking
you down with me. That was insane.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Broncos didn't.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Jumpt had this time so perfectly. He high pointed it.
He nailed it.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
He's about to make this catch because the Broncos are
all kind of flat footed, and that's it.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
You want to play clutch.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
Play by AJ
