Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Welcome inside Good Morning Football, everybody. We are presented by
Old Trapper Beach Turkey.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
As always, It's Monday, October thirteenth. Jamie Eard all here
in LA with a couple of my good friends, man
Tito and Isaiah. Standback Kyle Brand still my good friend
hanging out.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
In New York City. Kyle didn't mean to exclude you there.
My gosh, I have.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Had to look up all sorts of synonyms for malay
altercation freakists. You know, we had a little activity post
game Sunda Night Football.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Kyle, you got the highlight and you got a lot
of other stuff. We have to discuss this hour.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
I like brew haha. Like that. It seems to be positive.
It ends with a laugh.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
Here's a question before we start the show.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Who is currently the best team in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Who is the number one team?
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Everybody thought it was Detroit, but then what happened last night?
We'll talk about it all morning. We got highlights, we
got fun. We may even have ourselves a little brew haha.
Let's start the show.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, that's right, GMFB, get in here. Kyle just asked
a great question.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
It was who is the best team in the NFL
right now? It makes me do things like I don't
know what to do with my hands. I absolutely don't
know how to answer that question. Anybody at the table
want to t one up because I currently can't figure
it out.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
I remember what our first segment was. It's like, I
don't know if you wanted me to go there.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
But m okay, Kyle, do you have an answer to
your own question?
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Well, listen, it's some teams have the best record. The
Colts have a great record. I think the best in
the Bucks have the best record, but the Bucks have
a lot of injuries right now. In the real power
ranking society we live in right now, who is the
best team in the NFL? I don't totally know, but
I know this. Everybody was riding Detroit there, then I'm there.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Then number one.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
They go into Arrowhead last night and it didn't go
maybe how you expected.
Speaker 7 (02:08):
Why don't we get to it?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Because I'll tell you who looks really good right now,
and it's not the Lions in this game. It's the
home team. And just watch out. Don't let them come running.
Don't say it made me too late golf Bames Campbell read,
it's everything you want.
Speaker 7 (02:24):
It's a really cool play.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Montgomery throws into Jared Goff, who bobs and then scores
a touchdown.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
But we got to get deep.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Into rules minutia. It was not allowed and there was
a flag because Goff has to not establish himself as
a quarterback. Jared Goff said after is I have to
do more research for this. I didn't put my hands
under center. The officials thought differently, and they thought he's.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Not allowed to go in motion once established.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
As a quarterback. So the play was wiped off and
the Lions had to settle for a field goal.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
We'll get into it a little bit.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Campbell's confused case going forward on fourth and three in
the goal line xaber Worthy, there's that man touchdown. Guess
who missed an extra point? Harrison Bucker. Not a great
night for him, but the Chiefs continue anyways, second quarter,
still six to three.
Speaker 7 (03:06):
Jared Goff looking looking.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Jamison, blocks downfield, takes a hit, boom, touchdown six yard.
That's James swims first touchdown of the season.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
Then the Lions on their next possession.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Here we go ten to six Detroit over the mid
oh on a fourth and two, I'm on ra that
is his first drop of the season. He's that guy
who worts jugs, machines, catch tennis ball, doesn't drop passes,
heat drops it there lines turning over run downs. Mahomes
looking deep to Kelsey, who goes up and over and
lens right on his melon.
Speaker 7 (03:40):
He's got, He says, he's okay. He stays in the game.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Sheep's knocking on the door and we're doing a little option.
Mahomes so nifty with that stuff, So nifty.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Never mind the flag for a second.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
That's mahomes fourth rushing touch on the season, ties his
career high. He flecks his divine branch. And we'll see
more on that later. Believe you meet hoping at the
third quarter, thirteen to ten, Kansas City, Mahomes looking wait,
throwing down Travis Kelsey does he controlled this?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
I don't know, but you know what the Lions? What
the Chiefs did?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
They ran up and snapped it really fast, and Tray
couldn't challenge for the play stands savvy and now we
got I would great blocking downfield. Included from Kelsey Chiefs
are up twenty to ten. Why do the Lions only
have ten points? Sweet teeth there, Hollywood, I don't mind it.
Fourth quarter, twenty to ten. Again Detroit has ten points
in the fourth quarter. Kansason defense excellent second in goal,
(04:31):
go firing end zone. Hell of a catch by Sam Laporta,
one of the reverse angle around Shamari Connor. Really athletic
play by Laporta, back of the m zone, got it
with one hand, got two feet down.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
That six points, twenty to seventeen.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Next casey possession under fifteen to play.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Fourth quarter. Watch what happens here.
Speaker 7 (04:53):
This is a bad play by Detroit.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
You're gonna see Hutchinson, who's all hard and we love him.
Speaker 7 (04:57):
He gets a shot to Mahomes right there.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
That is not a good idea.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
They're gonna call that every single time.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I don't care if it's not Mahomes Mom's like I
used to and I'm Mahome.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
They're always going to call for me.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
Watch Mahomes looking now.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
They're always going to capitalize off that.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Hollywood Brown wide up in touchdown, Mahomes chirping Hutchinson, Hollywood
jumping into the crowd. Kansas City was feeling it right now.
They got a ten point lead in the fourth quarter.
Gulf looking for magic. No Chris Jones and Charles the
Mena who there for the sack.
Speaker 7 (05:23):
Remember Chris Jones took a week full of hate for.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
His lack of effort against Jacksonville, came out last night,
played really well and then Kareem Hunt on a third
of my bow Boom Boom watched the reverse saying fuck
your sin, Oh my god, that bad tackling is a
sin and flexing with the quarterback Dan Campbell.
Speaker 7 (05:42):
It's worked, but we have extracurriculars.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Guys, as the chiefs one by thirteen, there's a scrum,
there's a fracas, there's a brew haha. And here's why
Brian Brancher I mentioned earlier. Mahomes wants to shake his hands.
Branch is like, no, which is his parage, and he's
not feeling it.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
But then he finds.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Juju Juju Smith Schuster, who's chirping at him, and Branch says,
pow right.
Speaker 7 (06:02):
In the kisser.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Now, Juju's I got talk gonna work, But Checko's trying
to be peacemaker. Jude, you run back in ring the
springer bell Jude's gonna go down. He's gonna lose his helmet.
You don't want guys without helmets. Now, the Lions are gonna.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Come in and try to de escalate.
Speaker 7 (06:16):
You don't want to see it.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
You don't like to see it.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Brian Brand said afterwards he was childless and he shouldn't
have done it. He says he was hitting the back
by juju and he could have been hurt, and also
the Chiefs were doing a lot of chirping and he
didn't like it. Thirty to seventeen, the Chiefs get the
five hundred, the Lions very unfamiliar territory getting double digit
loss in primetime afterwards.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Let's see it from Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
And Dan Campbell on emotions and intensity in this one.
Speaker 8 (06:45):
You're playing football, I mean you're you're being chippy. That's
a physical football team, and they have a mentality that
they come in to play with and we're gonna match
that mentality. You know, we're not afraid to go up
against anybody. I mean, that's the mentality coach rebrings every
single day, and we're gonna match the intensity of whoever
that's on that football field.
Speaker 9 (07:00):
I'm disappointed because you know, we spent a long time
since you're watching somebody kneel it three times in front
of you and it's not even close. You know, you're
down two scores. I mean, we got worked pretty good.
So so yeah, it's disappointing. It's really disappointing.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
You know.
Speaker 9 (07:18):
I go back to this, Maybe we needed this, you know,
maybe we needed to get kicked around a little bit,
because that's what happened.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
I saw a Lions van tweet six days ago after
that Monday night football Chiefs game that was like, you know,
I didn't need the Chiefs to lose like that in
Jacksonville because they knew that they were going to come
with a different point of emphasis, if you will, manti
against the Lions then, and indeed they did. They looked
like a different team than we've seen in the lap
last couple of weeks. What differentiated themselves from the Lions?
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Well, let me tell us.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Sorry, Okay, so a lot of people know how I'm
born and raised in Hooi, specifically on the Island of
o Wahoo, and now on the Island of Wahoo. We're
constantly reminded, born and raised there of the Pearl Harbor bombing.
We have the memorial there at the uss Arizona. And
in the nineteen seventies film called Tora Tora Torah, the
character portraying Adam Yamamoto, who is responsible for the bombing.
Speaker 5 (08:07):
Says this word, says this phrase.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
He says, I fear.
Speaker 6 (08:10):
All we've done is awaken the sleeping giant. I fear
last night we woke that sleeping giant up. Matter of fact,
I think the whole week leading up to that, we
woke that giant up about asking questions like are we
done with the chiefs? Are we panicking about the chiefs?
Should we be concerned about the chiefs?
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Are they What else do you guys, Chris Jones?
Speaker 6 (08:32):
I know last week against the Jaguars, there is that
play where Trevor Lawrence fell down. We're all not not
we here at the table like media, we're all dissecting
that and trying to make sense of all that. He
just goes out there and dominates and Patrick Mahomes. I
want to go to two specific plays in the second
quarter that Patrick Mahomes did, right.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
We all saw the play.
Speaker 7 (08:49):
Where's he scrambles around, he gets away.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
We've seen this millions of times. You know throughout his career.
The very next play, guys, he throws on no looker, Okay,
just watch where he's look.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
He's look at to his right and he throws it
to his left.
Speaker 6 (09:04):
This some day, if it wasn't Patrick Mahomes, this would
be all over everybody's highlights.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Did you see this.
Speaker 7 (09:09):
Guy throw the ball without looking?
Speaker 6 (09:10):
And then I saw that Kareem hunt run laid in
the game, which you saw in the highlight. It wasn't
just the run. It wasn't just him running over Rackisin.
It was the celebration. Look at all the old linemen
that are running, all three of them, the celebration.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Then you got Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 6 (09:24):
Come over and head butt them after he just ran
over somebody. This was the sleeping giant that had woken up.
And guys, Rashi Rice comes back next week.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
This is a team that was talked about. This was
a team that.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
Had everybody have label them and they go out there
and then beat one of the more physical teams in
the Detroit Lion.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
So what did I get from it?
Speaker 6 (09:45):
They're up, they're ready, and they're starting to gain their
attraction and it's looking scary for.
Speaker 7 (09:50):
The rest of the NFL.
Speaker 10 (09:50):
Isaiah, Yeah, it's getting scary October and Halloween's almost here
and you have to deal with the dog on Kensley Chiefs.
These dudes are starting to look like what you're familiar
to them looking like. This is the first time all
year long that I can say that's the Kansas City Chiefs.
And the reason why I say that is because these
guys are getting to the ball and you're starting to
see that temple come back again. You're starting to see
(10:13):
that Andy Reid office.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Patrick Mahomes having his swag.
Speaker 10 (10:16):
He's distributing the ball to absolutely everybody. Yesterday there were
nine different people who caught the ball from Patrick Mahomes.
Yesterday there were six different people who toted the rock
from the backfield. He is getting the ball out to
absolutely everybody. And when you start.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Seeing Patrick Mahomes get up to the line of.
Speaker 10 (10:31):
Scrimmage and just start picking up part the zones, I'm
talking about quick little hitters right at the line of scrimmage,
nice little holes, the gaps in the scheme and the defense.
That's when you know these guys are dangerous. You just
mentioned it, man Ty. They get their best receiver back
coming up next week. This has been a completely different
team ever since xavier' worthy came back in Week four.
These guys are lightning in a bottle right now, and
(10:52):
I think they're just getting warmed up.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Listen, that is a really impressive win, really impressive win.
It wasn't just the final score, which I'll get to.
There was a vibe there. Air ahead was loud on
the broadcast. You could hear it the entire time. The
juice was there, all the stuff you guys are pointing
out after the play, even the brawl afterwards, like they
got under the lion's skin. Their Lions are the team
(11:15):
that does that to other people. I thought Campbell after
the game was very telling. He's like, it was kind
of weird sitting there watching another team take a knee
because we weren't even close.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
We haven't been that way in a long time.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Really impressive win for the Chiefs more than just Chiefs
lines on a Sunday night. So what you guys are
saying the appropriate Halloween reference is like this is like
Michael Myers got up, You're supposed to set him on
fire and pour holy.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Water on the How are the hell you kill him?
Speaker 1 (11:40):
You have to keep him down because they had a
real reality where when you're a team that starts zero
and two, you're a team that starts one and two, like,
maybe you might miss the playoffs. Maybe you two and three,
you missed the playoffs. Now they're three and three. They
just beat allegedly what I thought was the best team
in the NFL by double digits in a game that
wasn't terribly close. All I care about with the Chiefs
(12:00):
is are you in the playoffs?
Speaker 4 (12:02):
Just get in?
Speaker 1 (12:03):
They get in at ten and having their wild card
on the road. It's still they're different from every other
team in the club because they win the AFC every
single year.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Here are the facts.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
They're still in third place in their own division. Guys,
they're in third place in their own division. They have
already lost to the Chargers. It's not like they got
it made.
Speaker 7 (12:20):
They got a lot of work to do. A lot.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
This is not like, oh man, they beat the Lions well,
Arrowhead Invitational, the AFC tititleay, no, no, no, no, they got
months of work to do. But to your point, Worthy
made a difference when he came back. Rice is going
to make a difference when he comes back. And I
think the Chiefs defense was embarrassed against Jacksonville.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
They were humiliated, not just Chris Jones, you know.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
They let Jacksonville go down the field and last play
and win left drive and win.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Their defense was amazing. Last night.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
You don't see the Jared Goff Lions get held at
seventeen points, thirty to seventeen.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
They are alive, they are well and everybody everybody.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Who is dancing a jig trying to get engagement saying
the Chiefs are done, They're done, They're done.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
They're not done. They're never going to be done.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
And they just beat the Lions in one of the
most impressive wins of the seasons.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Chiefs very much alive. It's a problem for everybody else.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
You can't go to Arrowhead and have any moment in
a game take the air out of your balloon. And
it felt like there was one of those moments for
the Lions last night. Kyle, you had to play in
the highlight, and that was the Jared Goff touchdown reception.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
It was called and it was taken off the board.
The important rule.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Clarification after the game was that he assumed that just
by standing behind the center that he was still an
eligible receiver. However, the official ruling is such that once
you imply yourself to be a quarterback, he has to
get out to the left side and stand for at
least a second to establish himself.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Not in motion anymore so.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
The head referee, Craig Rollsad was saying, everything was moving
so fast, but he has to once he is near
the back side of the center implying that he is
the quarterback, he has to re establish himself. However, if
he was in a shotgun, then he could have just
been running around and acting all crazy. But it did
feel like one of those moments that once they put
six on the board. The fact that they took it off,
(14:04):
Chiefs were like, now we smell blood in the water.
Good clarification with the Lions. Great night for Sunday, night
football for the Chiefs. Moving on, Oh my gosh, is
it when you receive a scepter you just have that
absolute renaissance coming out of the backfield. I can't believe
that someone had the audacity to tell the cowboys to
buckle up and then he essentially unbuckled their seatbelt.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
And that guy's name is Rico Dawbell.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Kyle, I know he's rekwoned Barkley this year, like he's
just the guy.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
He's the guy.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Every single every single game, he goes nuts.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
It's incredible. And then there's that dude, Baker Mayfield. If
you're not watching the Bucks games, why what are you
doing with your Sundays?
Speaker 7 (14:37):
You have to watch the Bucks game.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
It doesn't matter who gets hurt, it's always electric.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
They usually win.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
We'll get into all of it, including the play of
the season so far and a third and long for
the Bucks GMFP on a Monday, let's row.
Speaker 7 (14:59):
Good mon football.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
I looked at Bengals Packers game yesterday, like, what are
these teams?
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Sorry?
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Packers are two one and one after their Week five bye,
and that man is quarterbacking the Bengals. Now, Joe Flacco
arrived from Cleveland midweek and he starts the game and
with Daddy finds Tanner HUDs in the back of the
end zone for a two yard TV Bengals, who cut
the lead. They were only down ten to seven. Then
after that TV and suing drive. But now we're into
the fourth quarter, first drive of the final slate. This gosh, shakeo,
(15:31):
oh my god, don't stop at the yellow line. Continue
past your collect your two hundred dollars and a touchdown
seventeen to ten.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Now Jordan Love and then.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
This maniac Tucker Craft in the flat takes in nineteen
yards all the way to the end zone. Again, Packers
win this one. Twenty seven eighteen, Bengal showed life. And
I guess if you have a quarterback of re forty
eight hours prior, that's helple Kyle, oh.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yes you know that, and Baker electric ready, but this
just absolutely sucks.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
This is what we're gonna start with.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Rashod Wwhyse is gonna get an ten yard run and
that's not what sucks.
Speaker 7 (16:05):
Good for him, guys. Fred Warner broke.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
His ankle on this play.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
Yeah, and it says I'm not even gonna show it.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
It's the air cast.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
The forty nine Ers lead the league in air casts.
Mike Mashatchie says, Kyle Shanahan can't believe it, but yes
he can, of course he can.
Speaker 7 (16:18):
It's this is what happens to the Niners, and I
actually hate it.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Let's get into football. Fourteen thirteen Tampa is.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
The game of the day in my opinion.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
Cameron Johnson Cameron with a.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
K that is a big touchdown on a very cool play.
Watch Baker just gets rocks by rookie Upton Stout. That
just does the full Baker thing. All right, some fun
to watch every single week. I just want more bucks.
They're not allowed to have a buye whenever it is.
Make them play third quarter. Now, of course I'm Meccha
Buka is out because all of Baker's receivers are I
(16:48):
Mecca Bucka is gonna be the rookie of the year,
and he's out. On a third and fourteen, we have
Matt to see one to two broken tackles.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Now we're in the open field and we're gonna.
Speaker 7 (16:56):
Do the dead leg.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
That's three.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
He can't get the first down, four or five. You
can't get the first down.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Wow, shocking off the shoulder shrugs in Florida twenty nineteen.
Two plays later, Bam, look at the ball, look at
the damn catch, Tampa. Oh my god, Johnson round offs
flip boom.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Unbelievable sequence.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
It was the best ninety seconds of football television of
the season, the all within ninety seconds.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
All that happened.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Now in a fourth and five, last chance for the Niners.
Mac Jones trying to be the hero can't do it.
Give me that ball. Jamel Dean picks it. That's Max's
second pick of the day. The magic kind of wore
off for him. Tampa wins again San Francisco with a
terrible injury. Again, I hate it, but Tampa is all positive.
Speaker 7 (17:45):
It is all good vibes there.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
I mean, except for the fact that all the wide
receivers are injured and they're still winning five and one.
I asked earlier the show, who's the best team in
the NFL.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
A lot of people saying Tampa.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
I know, they got a great record and they got
a hell of a quarterback. Baker, what'd you think of
some celebrations going on?
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Thank you?
Speaker 11 (18:01):
Do you get freaked out after a looking around and everything.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
No.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I mean, if I weigh one hundred and forty two pounds,
I'd probably be able to fly to But I haven't
weighed that since probably sixth grade.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Why do you have to cover him like that? I
don't think that was necessary.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Come on, Baker, Baker makes everything fun from the game, regulation,
over time, the postgame press conference, Manti, It's all coming up, Baker, Mayfield, Kyle.
Just so you know, Halloween weekend is the Buccaneers by
They just figured everyone's going to be out celebrating trick
or treating, so you don't get to watch Bucks that weekend.
Enjoy your kids and your time and your costume. Manti
would take from the Bucks this weekend.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
I don't care what the numbers are, but he has them.
I don't care what the stats are, but he has them.
I don't care what the records are because they have it.
Baker Mayfield, if you are coaching football from little league
like KB does all the way to college through the NFL,
if you want to show clips of what football looks like,
what intensity looks like, leadership, passion, pure willpower, and determination,
(19:03):
throw number six for Tampa Bay on the film and.
Speaker 7 (19:06):
You just roll it.
Speaker 6 (19:07):
You just roll how much love and passion this guy
has for his teammates has for the game of football.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
We didn't just see that yesterday.
Speaker 6 (19:17):
We saw that Week one against the falcon We saw
that Week two against the Texans. Or he's in the
DB's face and getting in his business.
Speaker 5 (19:25):
You saw it with the Eagles, with the Seahawks.
Speaker 6 (19:27):
Yes last week. He did this, guys, without Mike Evans.
He did this without Chris Godwin, and he did it
for a lot of the game without a Mecca and Fuka.
Baker Mayfield is playing at altitude guys that I don't
even think astronauts got to at this point, Like this
guy is a one man wrecking crew on a really
good team that doesn't have a lot of their really
(19:49):
good players. I don't know what category to put him
in right now, But if I'm a coach, if I'm
going to try to tell my five year old six
year old son whether he's trying to choose to play
football or not, I'm putting on Baker Mayfield tape and
I'm showing him, Son, play this game like this, and
eventually you'll get to the league. I promise you.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
You forgot one name. Bucky Irving wasn't there just certification. Yeah,
Bucky Irving.
Speaker 10 (20:11):
Wasn't playing either, So not only is he missing his
top three receivers, he also was missing his top running
back to your point, Baker may feels different.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
He's different.
Speaker 10 (20:19):
He has the willing determination, something that does not show
up in the stat sheet. He is the heartbeat of
his team, not only of the offensive side of the ball,
but of his team and what he does offensively. He
allows for these guys to go out there and compete.
And when you have a quarterback that puts you in
a position to win because he is making good decisions,
because he has that willing.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Determination to win. He's such a competitor.
Speaker 10 (20:39):
He's getting first downs with his legs, he's throwing seventy
four percent completion rate. And then you have a defensive
coordinator named Todd Bowles. Yeah, that's when you start having problems.
And that's why I'm saying that this is the best
team in the league right now.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
And to think that these guys are.
Speaker 10 (20:53):
Not at full strength and they're still doing what they're
doing is dog gone scary.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
It is.
Speaker 7 (21:00):
It is, and I'll tell you what else is scary.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
I was on the yesterday for I think like eight
and a half hours. Really, the only time I got
up was at the end of the Baker run. You
need to like wear a smoking jacket to watch this highlight.
It is a fine, fine wine. Let's just get into
this thing. This, to me is the closest answer we've
had so far this year to the Saquan reverse hurdle.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
Just the thing that actually makes you scream.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
I'd be like Niners fans were watching this, cheering, and
by the end of it, it was that amazing. Even
the Jim Nance call, it was like, Baker drops back,
He's got no chance.
Speaker 7 (21:37):
Oh yes, he does it. Just such a fan.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I'm not saying like it's like the greatest highlight of
all time. I'm not saying it's like the marsha On
Beast quake. I'm just saying like it might be in
the same neighborhood as And then the reason it's so
amazing is because if josh Allen did this at Lamar,
we'd be like, ah, that's just josh Ana Lamar.
Speaker 7 (21:55):
Baker is not those guys.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Physically, he is not very big, he is not terribly quick,
he is not fast. He just knows how to game.
He just has it. It's one thing to break the tackle,
the dead leg in the open field, right there was incredible.
That's like a professional tackler who comes up with nothing.
I was standing by the end of this play, my
(22:17):
veins just coursing with salt from the PF Chang's door
dash thing.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
I was so excited about what I saw.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
And I feel like Baker's giving one of those every
single week and It's also I just have to say this,
all the receivers are hurt. The catch by Tess Johnson
was insane. Two plays later the Bucks, that's there, like
wide receiver five. I feel like that guy would wide
receiver won for some of these teams. This is an incredible,
incredible catch and the back half of the ball.
Speaker 7 (22:46):
Look at this, that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
He falls down, he keeps the catch, and then he
has then energy to to flip. They are the most
watchable team in the NFL right now. They have among
the best records in the NFL. I just don't know
how many injuries can they take and keep on winning.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
San Francisco is the tough out. You know that.
Speaker 7 (23:02):
They're gritty as hell.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
They just beat the Rams.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
So I'm just going on and on and bloviating about
how fun Baker is. It's not an original take here,
It's just that, to me is my favorite highlight of
the twenty twenty.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Five seasons so far.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
It's the clubhouse leader, and there's just something magical about
watching him right now.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
It's so good.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
I'm envisioning the Leonardo DiCaprio meme for Once upon a
Time in Hollywood, who was a beer canon a cigarette
and he's pointing at the TV. But Kyle's got an
egg roll and fried wich. It's just like coming off
of his.
Speaker 7 (23:27):
Face out of the box.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
He threw the takeout contater to his left and said,
that's that's that dude.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Well done, wrap sheep. It was a fun highlight. It
was all well and good, but unfortunately the first.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Play we had to watch yet again another forty nine
er star go down to injury. And it's not a week,
it's not a month. It sounds like for a very
long time.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (23:54):
Fred Warner, the four time All Pro, one of the
best linebackers in the NFL, the highest paid off the
ball linebacker in the NFL beginning this offseason, is now
out for the season and he has a dislocated ankle
and a fractured ankle, which is some of the doctors
probably realized while he.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Was on the field.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
I mean, this is the kind of thing that you
never want to.
Speaker 12 (24:15):
Do it, but you can basically decide with your eyes
what the injury is. The foot was going the wrong way.
It was all bad for Fred Warner. He is now
going to be out for the season. Surgery is coming.
It is a long road it, Haad. This is the
same injury Dak Prescott had. He's going to get back
to be one hundred percent, but this is a rough one.
Speaker 5 (24:33):
For the forty nine ers.
Speaker 12 (24:34):
That has been a season full of significant injuries and
the latest to maybe their best defensive player. And then
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You guys talked about it.
All of Baker's targets, it seems, are out and you
can add a Mecha buga to that list as well.
He's dealing with a hamstring injury. You're gonna get an
MRI today. Does not seem like it is that serious.
(24:56):
I do expect him to miss some time, but it
doesn't seem to be maybe as serious as the Mike
Evans one.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
But certainly it seems like the Bucks are.
Speaker 12 (25:03):
Gonna have to line the Cam Johnson's and Tez Johnson's
another young receivers that we hadn't heard of until well,
you know, yesterday. Meanwhile, Mike Evans is nearing a return
from that hamstring injury. Should be kind of getting close
to that wheelhouse. Chris Godwin, Kyle is now week to
week still dealing with that lower leg injury.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
There is a feeling of what can the Bucks do
when they get the guys back. I'm glad to hear
that they're getting more positive news. On another positive note,
those who might not know, my son and ian son
play on the same football team. Yesterday, in hurricane like
conditions in New York, we played. We got pounded by
an excellent John Jay team. However, shout out to the
Rappaport family. Ian and Leah setting up a tenth on
(25:43):
our sidelines to give some sort of shelter to our team,
and young Jude Rapaport, one of the youngest players on
our entire team, making a clutch tackle at the goal
line to stop a two point conversion.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
Had to love to see Ian. Shout out to Judi.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 12 (25:59):
He was very, very excited, so thank you for that.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
That was all he should have been.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
That was one of the only guys who showed up
for us yesterday was dude.
Speaker 7 (26:05):
It was a top off day. But we'll get we'll
get better. We'll get better this week.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
The ultimate team player of the rap Sheet crew protecting
everybody from the elements and delivering a game winning play.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Well done. Appreciate you, rapsfeet talking a little bit.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Let's take a ride down to three or five to
South Beach where the Chargers visited the Miami Dolphins. Fourth quarter,
fifty two seconds left in the game. Tool Tongabaylo is
going to get the ball to Darren Waller.
Speaker 7 (26:29):
Guys, okay, Darren.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
Waller has been just bossing a touchdown machine.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
He's a well rested, recently retired tight end. We're found
in the end zone.
Speaker 6 (26:37):
Thirty four seconds, guys, thirty four seconds left.
Speaker 5 (26:40):
It's like Houdini on this plan.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
Hits Ladi McConkey, and Lad McConkie.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
Goes forty two yards for a huge game, getting the
Chargers into field goal range.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
This was like that Nikid.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
Commercial when he says anything you can do, I can
do better.
Speaker 5 (26:52):
No you can't.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
Justin Herbert said yes I can and puts his team
in a position to win this game for a game
winning field.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
Goal by Cameron Dicker. The kicker comes out Nail's a
thirty three.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Yard field goal with nine seconds.
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Left in the fourth quarter. The Chargers would win this
game twenty nine to twenty sevens the Thlphins fall to
one and five. There's a lot of questions, a lot
of drama, and nobody better to talk about it than
the oose out number one towel tungo bye law.
Speaker 13 (27:25):
Well, I think it starts with the leadership in helping
articulate that for the guys, and then what we're expecting
out of the guys, right, we're expecting this?
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Are we getting that? Are we not getting that?
Speaker 13 (27:36):
We have guys showing up to only player only meetings late,
guys not showing up to player only meeting Like, there's
a lot that goes into that. Do we have to
make this mandatory? Do we not have to make this mandatory?
So it's it's a lot of it's a lot of
things of that nature that we got to get cleaned up.
And it starts with the little things like that.
Speaker 9 (27:58):
To be clear, you're saying the players were late.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
Or missed late.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
Yeah, that is two A tong about low who threw
three interceptions in home yesterday.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
We'll get to that later.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
I promise Cowboys Panthers, we bring in the highlights on Monday.
Speaker 7 (28:13):
The discussion will follow Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Up ten three on the road.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
And then the Panthers started panthering, and that sets roand
McMillan and I mean panthering in a good way this time.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Tay Max.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
I don't like to call m tam maxes tase from Grady,
but Tetro McMillan's first career touchdown.
Speaker 7 (28:28):
All right, that's pretty cool. But hold on.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Jake Ferguson's had a hell of you. That's his four
TD in the last three games. He's really picked up
for Ceedee Lamb. Him and Pickens are fun to watch
right now. Panthers hanging in third quarter, still down four
and then Bryce rolling three go suave even catches the
ball getting into the end zone.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
You know he spent five years as the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Everyone Reven's game, Reven game, Reven game. I hate it,
but people like to say it. Later in the third
twenty seventeen care I.
Speaker 7 (28:56):
Look at Pickens. He's awesome.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
The Pickens.
Speaker 7 (28:58):
The Dallas thing has been great.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
It's playing like an A plus. He's going nine night.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Dacks fire it up, Dak passes trayit when for second
old time in Cowboys passing yards but Bryce looking guess so.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
He finds again.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Tetro and McMillan didn't really do any celebrating.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
He was after about it afterwards, says he yeah, I'm good.
He only had three.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Catches for two of them for touchdown twenty seven to
twenty seven. Got a great game, Bryce to hunt the
run frow, Oh my gosh, and he need left hold
you cut.
Speaker 7 (29:26):
That was like some street fighter stuff right there.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Dave Kanalis on fourth and three, he says, stay out there,
we're going for twenty seven twenty seven, and he gets
it in. My incredible and credible play slides in.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
That's the hound Renfro.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
And then we got Ryan Fitzgerald, not Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Fitzgerald,
that is their kicker who comes in to win it
for Carolina. Thirty to twenty seven. One of the best
Panthers games in years. They're three and three. The Cowboys
are two and three, and one and six and five
and four, and yeah, who knows what they are? The
Panthers and one consecutive games the first time since weeks
(30:03):
nine and ten from last season.
Speaker 7 (30:06):
Let's hear from afterwards their opponent.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
No, it's me, great to me, toss it back to me. Yeah,
Kyle's right.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
They this has been a year in the making since
they last accomplished this. They're great at home. Inside the season,
the Panthers are three and zero. Tough go for them
on the road. I feel like they want to play
all their games in Charlotte at this point. But MANSI,
what stands out to you in watching I don't know,
rico'dowdell and the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
Yeah, Ricodoudo is extremely impressive. And in order for Ricodoudo
to have that impressive afternoon, he had to have this
old line be able to move the line of scrimmage
the way that they did. I know a lot of
those times that you saw Ricodoudo run the ball, I
don't know, he wasn't touched about four three four yards
before Defendeck even touched him. That Carolina Panthers offensive line,
(30:53):
whether they're running up the middle, whether they're pulling a
guard to the outside.
Speaker 14 (30:56):
There are a lot of plays where I saw ricodowdle.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
Not even touched, not even touched.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Guys.
Speaker 7 (31:01):
That's he's still not touched.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
He's ten yards on the field, still not touched.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
It makes a really good running back, extremely efficient and
extremely dangerous when you have those five guys up front.
Speaker 7 (31:12):
Clearing pathways for you.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
So I was very impressed, Isaiah with the offensive line
play by the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
Oh, you guys, put me on the spot here. Okay,
here's what we're gonna get.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
Let me stretch it out.
Speaker 10 (31:23):
Okay, Dallas Cowboys defense is in a bad way. You
have the number one offense in the league. These guys
are absolutely killing it, regardless of the fact that Ceedee
Lamb is not out there. However, your defense is the
last defense that anybody would pick.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
You're the last one on the pickup port. Okay.
Speaker 10 (31:38):
And the reason why is because they don't seem to
understand what Matt eber Flus is trying to execute. Matt
eber Flus is the new defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys.
He is the third defensive coordinator over the last three
seasons in Dallas. And what I am starting to believe
is that what he's asking of these guys they're incapable
(31:59):
of producing. They're asking he's asking them to play zone. Understand,
majority of your contributors in a defensive backfield where Dan
Quinn guys, these are mandom man guys, and now they're
being asked to play zone. Now, everybody's gonna think all
easy zone should be easier than man. You have a
style of play, and I'm not making an excuse at all.
These guys should be able to execute this, but they're not,
(32:20):
and they have to either one Matt Eberflus has to
change the scheme in terms of what he's asking these guys,
or two, the front office has to make some decisions.
I like Matt Eberflus a lot, but what you're asking
these guys to do, they're not getting it, so you
have to make a change. Rigo Daldo and everybody else
in the league that you've played against has random crap
out of the ball against you, So your front set
is a whole other conversation. This defense is bad, and
(32:43):
I'm not talking about Michael Jackson.
Speaker 7 (32:44):
Yeah, no, it's like the real bad, not the bad
that's cool.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
It's the bad. It's a negative thing. Listen.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
It was about, I don't know eleven months ago that
Matt Eberfluss was fired as the head coach of the
Bears for running out of time in the game in
which he had a time out. So it's not going
well right after doubts Cowboys and their defense is really
really bad and if they had Michael Parsons they wouldn't
when that game either yesterday. I honestly, it just they
they can't stop anybody. But I'm going to defy the
content gods and look at the two logos at the
bottom of the screen. So I don't want to talk
(33:10):
about Dallas. I want to talk about the Carolina Panthers.
I don't care what that makes you think. The Carolina
Panthers won three out of four. Next week they have
a bye against the Jets, so they'll win four out
of five.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
And so, guys, this was the team in the beginning.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Of the season where I'm like, I kind of have
a crush on the Panthers to maybe like rise up
and squeeze a wild card, and then I.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
Just didn't have the stones to do it.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
The Rico thing is absolutely hilarious. Like the last two games,
he has gone astronomical. It's like down the field, between
the tackles, he's turned into the best player in the league.
I hate the revenge game storyline.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
I always have.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
He was an undrafted free agent out of college in
which the Cowboys decided to sign an employee for five years.
It's like they didn't really exactly do him wrong.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
Guys. It's not a terrible thing the way it ended.
Speaker 7 (33:52):
But I'll tell you this.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Rico won angry runs last week out of nowhere. He's
doing our show and our segment. He comes on, he's
got the stepter, he's got the shirt, and he goes
out against his own team and he's saying things like
they better buckle up. After the game, he says they
didn't buckle up. He's got a total edge to him.
He's the most productive back in the league right now
over the last two weeks. I joke they're playing the
Jets next week. I have him at four and three,
(34:15):
and who the hell knows what Carolina is capable of.
They have this thing where that kind of win that
close at home under a new head coach fires people up.
Just a team to keep an eye on. In a
league that we don't really know who is great. We
know a few teams are pretty good. There's gonna be
some weird stuff that happens in January. I think in
terms of who's in the wildcard round, there's going to
(34:35):
be crazy things that happen, and I'm starting to think
that Carolina.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Might have their eye on it.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
I just like what people might the repetition of the
angry run sceptor when you receive it. Therefore you have
a pop off next game.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
We hadn't seen this kind of susens.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
Le'Veon bell and I'm talking back to back games two
hundred and thirty yards from scrimmage or more. That was
back in twenty fourteen. Now Dabdell's doing it in twenty
twenty five. The scepter is lit up. He turned the
power button on and he said, buckle up, cowboys, I'm
going to take you for a ride.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Boy, did he ever? Well done, Panthers.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
We're watching you all eyes on next week against whatever
Kyle just said about the Jets.
Speaker 15 (35:22):
Good morning football, Well, the London games continue in week seven.
You have the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars,
this time at Wembley Stadium. Three of three games in
London coming your way. The action getting set for kickoffs
starting on Sunday, that is at seven am Eastern. Study
kickoff is at at nine thirty am Eastern.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
Just watch NFL.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Network all morning, is what I'm trying to tell you.
Speaker 15 (35:47):
That is streaming on NFL Network and on NFL Plus.
Subscription required for NFL Plus visit Plus dot NFL dot
Com for terms Well. On Sunday night, we saw Patrick
Mahomes lead the Chiefs to a win over the Lions,
and he became the fastest player in NFL history to
throw three hundred touchdown passes. That also includes the playoffs.
(36:08):
But that was not his only accomplishment in the game.
We're challenging you on social media wanting to know it
was also his ninety second career win as a starter,
tying the record for most wins by a quarterback by
the age of thirty or younger. It's incredible thing. Mahomes
is only thirty. He just turned thirty last month. But
(36:29):
we want to know who did he tie for that accomplishment.
I have the answer here on my card, so I'm
trying to keep it hidden, Kyle. I know you definitely
can't see my cards.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I'm gonna go to you first.
Speaker 15 (36:40):
You have any guesses who that could be?
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Two?
Speaker 4 (36:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
I would just I would think it'd be someone who
started right away, even though Mahomes didn't. I would just
I'll just I'll guess Peyton Man and that's my guest, Peyton.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
M Okay, I'll go next.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
I'm gonna go.
Speaker 6 (36:55):
I'm gonna go Joe Montana, Joe Montana, I'm going to
go with Joe.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
The starting good.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
I'm a rock with Terry Breshaw the Star charting first.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
I was thinking far but I don't think they were
that good when he began with the Packers, So I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Did Ekman start right away? Yes, yeah, I'll guess right.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (37:15):
Well, there there's a reoccurring theme that I've started to realize.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
You're on GMFB, Kyle just never rong.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
Ty Hall of.
Speaker 15 (37:25):
Famer Peyton Manning with a whin at the age of
thirty or less, and they're following by a list of
some other Hall of Famer couple future Hall of famers
Ben Roethlisberger and the Goat Tom Brady Man.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
Kyle again, how'd you land on that?
Speaker 5 (37:40):
Kyle?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah, I mean I just said, going into my massive
cavernous brain and I just went and I sunk a
free throw, and I was like, you got a challenge, man,
that was easy. I knew that when I pretended like
I didn't know. Of course, it is Peyton Man. I'm
trying to be nice.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
We have to come up with something.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
Didn't say Ben At in ninety seven, by the time.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
He yeah, man, the Steelers one right away, right right away,
Borders get it right, guys.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
Ay, So those are.
Speaker 15 (38:06):
The numbers eighty hard to believe that though, right just
thirty years old.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
Two?
Speaker 7 (38:11):
Oh there they are.
Speaker 15 (38:12):
Yeah, Mahomes Peyton Manning go.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
It's incredible to see what he's been able to do.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
And they never played each other. He was done al right.
I would have liked to see that.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
That would have been fun, old fashioned VHS tape there.
It's not good though when the tape starts to come
out of the cassette.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
So instead we're.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Going to go technologically advanced on this segment. It's got
to rewind that there was no shortage of candidates this week.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
MAN'TI what's the play they were watching back again?
Speaker 6 (38:37):
I love to take this opportunity and just rewind that
to like highlight some hits. And so I found another
hit from Baltimore, but it wasn't the Baltimore happens. We've
got Cameron Kitchens Kinchins on a kickoff.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Watch his play where he hits Tyland Wallace.
Speaker 6 (38:51):
When Tyler Wallace reto he gets this ball, then he
runs up the middle and watch Cameron Kinchins takes them
to the kitchen where.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
You know Jamie was saying when she saw this, it's
like the WW move, Like.
Speaker 6 (39:04):
We've seen this so many times where his tag team partner,
another tag team partner comes in and does like a
stone Coat Stunn or something like that.
Speaker 7 (39:11):
I love that hit.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Get lower than the guy, lift them up, flip him
in the air.
Speaker 6 (39:16):
Cameron kinchins, thank you for being my You got to
rewind that guy.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
Kids at home don't.
Speaker 7 (39:22):
Do that at hell.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Yeah, you know me, Mantai, I know exactly what it
looks like when the WWE move comes out. Those references
come right to the top of mind.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
What do you got I say.
Speaker 10 (39:31):
Right there, Hey, listen, I'm gonna take this thing out
to the game that we all were watching last night,
and we have to talk about Sam Laportea Jared Golf,
Sam Laporta, This play right here was absolutely insane. I
don't think you understand the magnitude of difficulty.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
There's nowhere to go with the ball. Everybody's covered.
Speaker 10 (39:48):
Oh matter of fact, wrong, wrong, wrong, Watch Jared, he's scanning,
he's scanning.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
Sam reporter back of the end zone, tossed the rock.
Speaker 10 (39:59):
There is about six inches of space between the goal.
Speaker 14 (40:03):
I mean between the in line and where his book
comes down. And mind you, ball is in one hand,
left hand only. He's empendecturies embdectries left hand only. That
is an insane play right there.
Speaker 10 (40:16):
I had to rewind that because I understand how difficult.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
That he is both from throwing and.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Receiving probably the same end zone.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
It reminds me of the end of the Ravens game
last season where they like Isaiah likely with a.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Toe on the end zone.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
Oof.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
All right, you got to rewind that.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
We just watched to play over and over and over
again about Baker Mayfield running the ball, keeping it, almost
getting taken down, finishes the run.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Justin Herbert almost had something like that. However, he decided
to throw it.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
He found Lad McConkey on the left side to set
up the game winning field goal. And listen, this play
is incredible. He does a little get off me and
a little fine mconkey on the left side for a
huge gain. Mconky was so mad that he didn't score
on this play.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
But the fact that Justin Herbert stays upright and has
to take.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Not one, not two a couple bumps, A couple pull
on the arm switch the ball from right to left,
a little cross over.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
Was so impressive, you know how impressive it was.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
His head coach now wants to remember it even when
he's six feet under.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
Coach, what do you say about that?
Speaker 11 (41:15):
Maybe twenty yards you know, to get it in getting
Cameron Dicker's range, and and we got that and uh
and a lot more. Yeah again, I mean that play
would be burning my mind for so they throw dirt
over top of me.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Yeah, no, he said, through dirt over top of him.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
And he'll still be remembering that plays the most perfect
Harbaugh quote.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Kyle is chuckling silently. Kyle, I know you like that one.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
Yeah, he's just so unusual, honest the coach.
Speaker 7 (41:46):
It's a week six throw, and I kind.
Speaker 4 (41:47):
Of that's the place you remember of like thirty years
of coaching, you know what.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
No, don't listen to me, You just do you and
think about yourself dying and having dirt thrown over you,
and think of Justin Herbert never ever changed. Jamie says
she doesn't know the wrestling references. Let's make this one.
Nineteen ninety nine, The West Cane and Coyotes under Bud
Kilmer and a receiver played by Scott Khn called Tweeter,
and Jake Ferguson did his dance yesterday for the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (42:13):
Roll it for the love of God.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Here it is Dak Prescott's gonna find Ferguson. Jake Ferguson's
been awesome and he's gonna do this dance, which is
the dance from Varsity Blues, which is the movie that
came out the year Jake Ferguson was born.
Speaker 7 (42:28):
And I appreciate him knowing that.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
That Scott con is showing that up like that's Tweeter
right there. Kind of an R rated wide receiver for
Lance Harper turned Johnny mox In Kanakas. There's the whole
crew and Billy Bob and Amy Smart.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
We love you.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
No whip cream bikini in this picture because it's the
Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
But either way, I appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (42:48):
Daily I got the reference and I thought you nailed it.
Speaker 4 (42:51):
Jacob.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
Yeah, somehow you can't say Varsity Blues without referencing with
theacree bikini. I mean, it's just like an obligation to
just even reference it. That was the first hour on
a Monday.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
We'll be back
