I am happy to report that Brock, I mean we're

and I now rollerblade and played in my first beach
volleyball game, so I am now making the full assimilation
into Saved by the Bell.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
So it's very exciting. Kyle, I feel like you would.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Enjoy this two different Barbie dolls.

You're in the roller blading volleyball now your TV Barbie.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
We have pictures or what what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh? You know what? Let me see.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
I'm i I'm no proof, Nope, but we.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Don't have proof right now. That would have been good.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Oh yeah, how you guys feeling today?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Everyone good?

Speaker 5 (01:52):
Yeah? I feel great, so good.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It's it's a lot going on and you think this
week it's a sleepy little week. No, this is push
push week. We were going to get a vote on that.
We have the massive contract that went down over the weekend.
I'm still I'm still just feeling so great about the
schedule release. I still need a cigarette from how exailiarated
that you like the schedule release in the National Football YAU.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
I love a schedule release case you can finally plan
your fall.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
Let's go.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
You got to get the boys in the group text
and figure out what games you're gonna hit up and
it's actually it's a big deal for.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Me, no doubt. It's a big deal for all I'm
living in So Colleen, let's rock and roll.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah, I mean, it's almost as big of a deal
as the lead block.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
On Friday, the forty nine Ers and quarterback Brock Party
agreed to terms on a five year, two hundred and
sixty five.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Million dollar deal.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
According to the NFL Network insiders You and Rappaport, Mike Carafolo,
and Tom Pallasaro, Perdy, who was about to enter his
fourth season, was to five point three four million in
the upcoming final year of his rookie deal. He also
received a full no trade clause for the duration of
the deal, sources tell the Insiders.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
So check this out. He's going to receive.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
One hundred and eighty one million in total guarantees, including
one hundred and sixty five point oh five those five cents.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
That's a huge deal million in the.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
First three years of a deal that runs through the
twenty thirty season. His fifty three million dollars average per
year salary is tied to the seventh highest in the NFL,
according to the website Over the Cap. So let's talk
about thoughts on the brock Purty deal two hundred and
sixty five billion dollars. A lot of people chirping out

(03:28):
there that he wasn't worth It seems like he absolutely
deserved what he got paid.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
So Kyle got to start with you well first and foremost.
And listen, this has been out a few days. It
came on on Friday. I'm super happy for brock Purty.
It's a cool story. You can make a Disney movie
about it. It's amazing, all very very positive. I'm not
happy for him.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
You look at it.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
One hundred and eighty one million guaranteed and not the
no trade. He just has everything. Now, is there anything
in this for brock Party that is not wonderful and great?

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Everything changed, His whole life.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Is different, The whole team is different, His whole world
is different.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Grant Cone read a great piece on this for Fie.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
He is now the seventh highest paid player in the league.
He's maybe the seventh best player on the forty nine ers.
This whole darling of like, wow, we have this quarterback
who makes as much as a long snapper and it's
such a sweet little story, and let's talk all about
it and charm me in a mister irrelevant, that has
all gone now, it's expectations now. It's like, that's all

(04:26):
that sweet little montage we went.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Through with you is done.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Now we have to remember that there are only three
quarterbacks in the NFL who threw more interceptions in brock Party.
Last year, he was fifteenth in touchdown paces passes. He
was seventeenth in completion percentage. That's all fine. It's like
a car that's just sort of decent and gets you
from here to there, but you don't care because the
cars three you just have to make insurance payments.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
This is now an aston Martin, this is a Bentley.
This is you have to compete with those we showed
those highest earning players.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
Those guys are Patrick Mahomes who is.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
The face of the league, Josh Allen, who's the MVP,
Joe Burrow who completely annihilated everyone last year, and then
Trevor Lawrence was constantly looked at us. You are the
one who was promised, So this is like the green
day time of your life, something unpredictable like that was
a wonderful phase for brock Perty and he went to
a Super Bowl. Now, It's like, go kill it because
all those reasons.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
The Niners were good because of your old contract.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
If they're not good now, that new contract will be
blamed Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Brock, tell me what you think.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
Man, I'm gonna be honest with you. You know, Brock
to Brock, you know, I wanted to definitely want to
see him get his money, you know, as a player.
But you know, I'm concerned to see this team kind
of be dismantled because of it. You know, you got
to pay a quarterback this money, and you lose key players,
you know, Lea, you lose Deebo Samuel, you lose Green Law,

(05:48):
you lose Lennard Floyd, you lose a lot of the
team that got you to the championship and got you
to the playoffs. So I'm very curious to see how that,
you know, how it handles this year.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
What do you think, Wes.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
I came in this morning ready to be a hater, actually,
and then I thought about it for a little bit,
and I was like, yeah, but I'm not gonna be
It's tough to Hey, do I think the NFC West
is shaking in their boots?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
No?

Speaker 6 (06:16):
But then I was thinking about how many teams want
a quarterback that they trust and has proven that they
can get their team to a Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Would the Raiders take rock Party? Probably? With the Titans
like brock Party probably?

Speaker 6 (06:26):
And the one eight I was one eighty one guaranteed
significantly less than what we're all going to see as
the two sixty five.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
They clearly trust him, and we will just look at
the list and you.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
Brought up Josh Allen Lamar. All of them, they haven't
been to a super Bowl. So he has proven it. Yes,
the roster is different, but they're in the building. They
trust Brock and they have someone they trust and they
think can get it done.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
So we'll see how they build around him. Now, you're
a guy who.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Comes out like a fan, all right, Like, so do
I do like if your team is playing brock Party
that week?

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Yeah? Are you right right? Nervous? Now? Are you like,
oh we got this? Or like, how do you look
at brock Party as a fan? Well? That's no, okay
there you gough right, Well that's why I think.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Yeah, you wonder if other teams are horrified of that contract.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
They're not. Probably you might be celebrating it.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Yeah, but he's he can do it, and that's a
team that has gotten it done with not a revolving door.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Necessarily it can be, but different dudes. He did it
with Jimmy g and.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Then let's see what they can do now not see
that's where we come up and you can win games,
no doubt.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Well, I mean, I think that because he's mister Irrelevant,
he's going to wear that moniker forever, and then that.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Just adds some built in bias.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
But I think when you look at this team in
general and everything that they lost this year, at least
they have the stability of having the same quarterback and
like they have.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
To, they had no choice but to pay him.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
It's not like he reset the quarterback market, like you
have to pay him somewhere in that range just because
of the nature of the position, being a quarterback. But
now going forward, you kind of look at the Niners
as a whole. They have the easiest strength of schedule.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
In twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
If you want to look at what's he did last year,
only three opponents this upcoming season made the playoffs. Those
teams the Rams twice and then the Bucks plus the Texans.
They comprised the four games against last season's playoff teams.
But remember the Saints and the Falcons, they had the
easiest schedules last.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Year and they both missed the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
So so much changes year to year. Can the Niners
be one of these teams that bounces back?

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Be the bounce back.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Team of twenty twenty five? You mentioned some of the
players that they lost, also, Shaverius Ward, Javon Hargrave, Talafungo,
who are talanoahu Funga?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I mean, yeah, you're going to.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Get back Christian McCaffrey and Brandon Auk.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
And Trent Williams healthy.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
But that's asking a lot with a lot of turnover.
Special on the defensive side.

Speaker 7 (08:49):
Absolutely, absolutely, And like you said, it's hard to keep
these teams together when people are getting paid. But that's
where it's up to the guys up up front, you know,
the front off is and the GMS and things like
that to build this team back up to you know,
to be you know, a contender this season.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Kyle, Yeah, I mean, we'll see they got again.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Everything that they have done for the last three or
four years is now flipped. They would build their whole
roster because we have the cheapest.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Quarterback in the league.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Now they have to build their whole roster as we
have one of the most expensive quarterbacks in league.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
Of course guys are going to go. It's guys.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
They had a window and they didn't cash it in.
That's how this works. And it's like his deal was
not like a c De Strouds deal or Kayleb Williams
rookie deal. It was like he made long Snapper money.
It was absolutely incredible. They won the lottery in the
draft with a seventh round pick. They had a few
years to cash it in and they didn't do it
because they lost to the Chiefs. So now it's like

(09:46):
John Lynch has to go to work and build his
team like most teams. Sorry, you have a really expensive quarterback.
Welcome to the NFL. I don't know when I see
guys leaving. There's no one who absolutely breaks my heart.
I like those guys. I like Drake Greenlaw. I liked
Bo Fine. I think Debo was time to go. I
know Drake green Law had the huge in I'm not
seeing names there with that. I'm like, wow, I don't

(10:07):
think Kyle Shanahank can put a team together. I think
this is a six and the let I don't think
that at all. But again, there's no filler seasons for
brock Perty. Now you have to be exceptional. There's no
passenger stuff. There's no hand at to McCaffrey be exceptional.
I don't know if he has that in him or not,
but they don't have a choice, and I don't know.
I keep saying engaging you as a fan West because
I'm a fan. I hate so much, A detest the

(10:30):
state of paying quarterbacks. I think it is so stupid.
I hate that there's not a middle class. I hate
this attitude of well, you have to pay him, that's
the going rate, and I understand that it is, but
when I see that he is making money similar to
Josh Allen and his name is brock Perty, it's ludicrous.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
He's a nice quarterback, don't get me wrong. I hate
that there is.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
No reasonable thing about how about we just pay him
thirty one million out. No, it has to be all
the way up there or nothing. And that's where we're at.
And normally those teams Josh Allen, Bengals, those teams sometimes
they can win because.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
The quarterbacks that good. I don't know if the Niners
is yet. You were just talking about windows.

Speaker 6 (11:05):
And my guess is after the twenty nineteen Super Bowl
with Jimmy G, we thought the forty nine ers window.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Closed because I think they finished fourth the year after
and the NFC West and they drafted Trey Lance. Yeah
yeah at work. Yeah, and then we were like that
windows close.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
They were fourth in the n FC West I think
the year after, then third, So it sounds like their
windows are like these four year little let's lose in
the Super Bowl and then kind of figure things out
again and then get back to where they were. Did
Jimmy G brought loss to the Chiefs again, So they're
due for losing the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in
two years and that to me more of a shanahand

(11:41):
testament probably definitely that he can kind of rebuild if
you give him three four years after.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
There's a lot of windows talk about the Niners like
this is not the first and last window talk with Yeah, exactly,
they windows and they're still here multiple windows.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Yeah, it's pretty cool, that's true.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
I like the money aside, because Kyle, I know that
you detest the quarterback market, so everyone off your front lawn.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Yes, I know.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
However, do you think that maybe he's actually worth more.
Is he underrated just in terms of what the public
opinion is of him, and then kind of what he
actually does bring to this team in terms of leadership
and play well.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
It's kind of a cool opportunity for him because as
much as we love the fact that he's cheap for
the team, he is looked at still as this scrappy, little,
droopy eyed seventh round pick, the mister irrelevant thing.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
So he follows him around. It doesn't matter how well
he plays.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
It doesn't matter that he played well in the super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Now you're like that stuff should be over again.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Turn the page on that. Now you're the nine figure guy,
and he does play well. Like his stats last year,
we're decent. They were average compared to the rest of
the league.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
But that's it. Now you have to play so much
better because all these guys are leaving.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I think he is a little bit better than he
gets credit for, but he has.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
To raise his game completely.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
I tried to come out here and like West was
Statean's like, I don't want to hate.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
I hate. This is a wonderful story.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
It is a great dude who never says the wrong thing,
who every team passed on is like, oh my god,
I made it and we're just needling it as completion percentage.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
I'm a jerk this morning. I'm sorry. It should be
a positive.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Story, but I'm trying to at least answer the question honestly, Colin.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
I know, and you're doing facial hair and interesting.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
He needs to grow facial hair and make the transition
from rookie contract to now big boy contractor get into
the baby face okay and be a big What should
the official hair be?

Speaker 5 (13:26):
What would you recommend?

Speaker 4 (13:27):
I think crazy?

Speaker 5 (13:28):
Just do like a good four or five days stubble
and stubble. Yeah, you're a grown man.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
All right? Wait real quick, though, I don't even know
if he can. What would he need to do to
actually gain respect?

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Like?

Speaker 3 (13:41):
What at what point do people stop saying okay.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Like is he a system quarterback?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Like?

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Is he really worth this money? Is he?

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Is? He? Is he?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
What does he need to do? Just win a Super Bowl?
Does that not even do it? Though?

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Right?

Speaker 7 (13:56):
I agree with Kyle. I think he has to outplay
the contract. You know, he has to go over in above.
You know, it's going to be a lot of pressure
on him to and I know what type of guy
he is. You know, he wants to you know, he
wants the money, but he wants to show he deserves
the money. So you know, I hope he doesn't put
a ton of pressure on him. Just go out there
and play ball. A lot of people, like you said,

(14:16):
you know, he's a system quarterback. But if you're a
system quarterback and you're winning, who cares?

Speaker 5 (14:20):
Right? You know who cares? You're winning games.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
So and everyone to a certain extent a system quarterback
because of the system sort of that they're in and
the players that are around them.

Speaker 7 (14:29):
Yeah, but like you, like you said, you got to outplay,
You got to off schedule throws, you know, different things
like that. So you definitely, like I say, outplay the contract,
and I think he'll.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Be fine, Brock, just be you yeahs, Yeah, for.

Speaker 6 (14:39):
Sure, correct me if I'm wrong on But I think
we compare people to their contracts ninety five percent of
the time just the year they sign it. So like
if he wins the Super Bowl whatever in three or
four years, we're not going to compare it to what
the contract is. Do it this year, Brock, Like, ball
out in the narrative and then have fun, enjoy yourself.
I hear it, but like we're talking about it now,

(15:00):
we'll talk about it this year and that's when he's
gonna I think you silence the most people and you
just signed a contract.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
And to answer the question, Carly to West Point like
win this year? Are we terrified of the West? Like
the Seattle TBD, Sam Donnell has a lot of questions. Arizona,
we kind of keep waiting for Kyler to make a leap.
I don't know, Rams look good, but they have an
old quarterback. Like I don't think this is the AFC West.
The AFC West is going to be killer this year.
The NFC Norse should be killed this year. The NFC West,

(15:28):
Like if the Niners going to win it this year
would not shock me at all.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
I'm not predicting that.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
I'm just saying that's not a crazy thing to consider
it all. I think it's sitting there for him. They've
been around the block a million times. They should be
successful this year.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Brock, I know you're saying that's disrespectful, but also do
you think that the Cardinals are going to make the
jump this year?

Speaker 7 (15:44):
You never, I mean, as a ram I never was
scared to go in Arizona. I promise you that, but yeah,
you definitely have to look at it. I think the
big dog in this division of NFC West is the Rams.
I mean you talk about the Niners, but the team
really making move building, the team silently that no body's

(16:04):
really talking about is the Rams.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Yeah, that would be a plot twist if they didn't come.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I got one important note? What one important note from
research here? Brock Purdy told this network NFL Network goes
on This West in twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
Three that he shaves every two days, but his teammates.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Don't believe him. He think he doesn't shave because he
can't grow anything. So there is maybe a fly in
the ointment with your plan. I like your plan.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Grow it out a little you can, it could help.
He says, he shaves every two days.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Wow, maybe we can find that clip for two.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
Weeks shave before the show start about.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
All right, we're coming back as well, and we have
Commanders linebacker Frankie Louvu joining the show.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
We're gonna ask him.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I know, I'm so excited about this. Also, it's one
of my favorite names in the NFL too.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
We're going to ask him about huge milestone in his
personal life.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Find out what he thinks about this season coming up.

Speaker 7 (16:51):
Kyle.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Also, we got to ask him about the touch push.
He's like the face of it in a lot of ways.
A lot of people say he's still jumping over the line.
He's still doing it. He's going to be doing as
he jumps over the line. Plus beautiful Randy mah highlights.
Why are we showing that?

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Because we're gonna talk about some incredible players who did
not play at the biggest college programs. Because I'm here
at the table and there's somebody from Jackson State number
thirty four watching the show from that stadium up in
the sky.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
Love you, Walter Peyton unk go anywhere?

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Good Morning football on Monday.

Speaker 8 (17:37):
To old oil hold tell yeah no more, mother, I'm.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Old energy.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
That's incredible and that is only a little piece of it.
And guess what we got him? We got him right here.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu featured in the piece, which you
can watch now in the NFL's YouTube page.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
Frankie, get in here, let's go. How are we doing?
Nice word? I love that you're here. You were telling
us before you came on that it's that it's surreal
for you to be on the show.

Speaker 9 (18:34):
Why is that, man, just the real you know, Uh,
growing up, I used to watch Good Morning Football. Uh,
not necessarily back on the oledge, but you know when
I'm in my way back to the mainland, here to
the mainland, and uh, you know, good Morning Football was
always a thing. You know, when you turn on TV,
is the first team that was on. So just being
on and being here with you, guys man full serving
for me and I appreciate.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
It, Appreciate you and total respect and thank you very
much for being here. Frankie, I'm gonna speaking of respect.
I'm going to do my very best to pronounce this properly.
I really am and I really mean this. The piece
is called a.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Tassi one family. That's the best I could do.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Please tell us how to pronounce it and tell us
what the title of the piece means in smoan.

Speaker 9 (19:13):
Man, you know he was close, he was close, uh call.
And it's just some verbs that say, uh, you know,
one family, that's like the cornerstone.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (19:25):
You know, everything that we do in our culture and
family is like the little backbone of our family. Just
everything that we do is family faith in football. So
you know, I went with that some more phrase as uh.
You know, it meant a lot to me and my
story and you know the people that was there and
the uh surrounding me uh and keep me up in
the times I need them.

Speaker 6 (19:46):
Frankie, you were born and raised in American Samoa, and
you know, as we saw on the clip, you're very
close to the traditions. What is one thing you want
people to know about Samoan culture that a lot of
people probably don't know.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Man.

Speaker 9 (19:57):
We're very diverse as far as some more people. Man,
But one thing I could say is our humility. You know,
people respectful people, and you know, we just want to
bring nothing but the best to the world. You know,
there's a lot of hate already that's going around, and
you know, just being that one percent of you know,
our culture just bringing positivity in the world. Man, that's

(20:20):
that's all the movement that we're trying to move and
that's just the culture you see it in the video.
I know, if you haven't met any other Polynesians aside
from myself, man, that's just type of the energy and
then the movement we step aside, step towards and man,
I'm just just blessed man, I don't take this for granted.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
No.

Speaker 9 (20:39):
And then also you know, I'm putting the whole island
on my back and making them products.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
Well when I'm doing your.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Energy is contagious, like it comes right through the screen.
I love that you're so positive. It's I feel like
you're just an energy giver. They always talk about whether
you're someone who takes energy away or someone that gives energy.
You're definitely that. And the fact that you're up this
early hanging out with us. Love that this guy's a
go getter. But when you were with the Panthers two

(21:06):
years ago, you weren't just learning the playbook. You were
also studying US Civics to become a citizen. So why
were you motivated to take that step? And also why
was it so important for you to become a citizen?

Speaker 5 (21:19):
And also motivated you know, that was what my brother
had Fraser.

Speaker 9 (21:24):
He took that road when I first got in to
the league and when I first you know, stepped foot
in the NFL, and he had that road to get
the citizenship from my parents, and uh, you know, eventually
he didn't finish the process. So I took upon my
matters in my own hands.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
To to finish that process.

Speaker 9 (21:43):
And you know, and another reason why I just to
have my parents to catch a lot of my games
in college. They only caught like my senior game out
of my whole time there at Washington State, so uh,
you know, and in the fairs and the finances of
getting him up there, you know, it wasn't all up
to part.

Speaker 5 (21:59):
But you know, there's a huge thing for me to finish.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
This as well to him.

Speaker 9 (22:04):
My parents come out and witness, you know, from Washington
State to here what I'm doing now, so they can
get to see what I do day to day and
what I go through by my routine in life, and
you know, they don't get to see a lot of
that when they're back in some more. You know, right
now they're about like seven hours behind. I don't know
if it's good morning football to them right now, but
you know it's uh, you know, they it's my parents

(22:28):
many they've been there for my whole process, through my
whole career, my whole life. So just to have them
around and trying to witness everything that I go through
and looking for my lens and you know, kind of
have them see why the reason why I do what
I do, and and that's just the picture. I'm trying
to pay for them and also just to be around family.
You know, a lot of times they're back in some

(22:48):
more and once I'm done with their papers, you know,
get they get to stay for a little longer. You know,
they don't got too much time on this earth. So
I try to make it as most as I can
to keep them around. And you know, also for my son.
I got a son.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
He's eight months.

Speaker 9 (23:01):
His name is Tank Frazier, best lovel you know, just
have him, see him grow up in you know, the
youngest grandchild. So that's just kind of the whole reason
while I'm doing what I do and getting the citizensue.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Well that's incredible. Congratulations on the sun. That's very very cool,
and we can't wait to watch him grow up. In
the meantime, we got to look back, i know, out
of your respect for Simon and culture. One of the
names that I'm surely comes up is Troy Paulamalo and
Troy paula Malo, among many other things, renowned for leaping
over the offensive line to make a play. Dude, we
got to go to the title game and you are

(23:36):
doing everything you can possibly do to stop this tush push.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
You were all hard.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
You would not stop no matter how many times they
whistled you or flagged you. Frankie, can you take us
through this sequence because it was really incredible.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
Man.

Speaker 9 (23:48):
Yeah, I definitely don't have a vertical like how Troy did.
But the main process will display, you know, leading up
practice and leading up to the game.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
And you know they they every short yard is they had.

Speaker 9 (24:01):
We knew what play there was going to do, and
I did it run the first quarter when they first
did it, and I think I think I did a
front flip, uh, and the whole pile was moving and
I was on top of the pile, and uh, my
whole point would just go for Jayden like don't go vertical,
would go right, you know, kind of kind of like
a viscile right where he's uh he's at, And no

(24:23):
tests of trying to hurt anybody or that. It was
just part of the game plan that week and during
that play, man, I'll just try to stop you until
they came up with that new rule, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
So I kept doing it my first time. I remember
the case it was delta delta sit.

Speaker 9 (24:38):
When I heard that it was my time to fly,
you know, and uh yeah, I just took my chances
until the q T gave me the the you know,
the chill button. I'm like, yeah, I ain't doing it
for the third time, but yeah, that was that was
kind of like the whole prost as among.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
You are in a way linked to display because of
that moment, you also have a powerful voice. This week,
in a matter of a couple of days, the league
is going to vote on the tush push, whether to keep.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
It or to ban it. As a guy who is
I've been out there in a playoff game trying to
defend it. Is it unfair? And should the league ban it?

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Man?

Speaker 9 (25:13):
My personal opinion, yeah, I think they should bet it,
you know what I mean. But I know the argument
is gonna be about, like, hey, you guys have to
stop it. Don't get us his short yard is and whatnot.
But I mean, it's kind of like a cheek no
play man. You got Jordan my lot on the right,
you got you know, it's pretty much the scrum in rugby.
That's how I kind of look at it. And we

(25:33):
got to have a scrum too on the other side,
and the scrum is, you know, we have a cadus
where we all go at once. It's not like you
hardcam and this and that where you know, now you're
getting us with myself jumping over the pile thinking that
they're about to snap the ball and h that's just
my own personal opinion and I'm gonna leave you at that.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
That's totally cool in respect that you got a lot
of opinions and a lot of pride. This is the
guy quote putting the whole island on his back. And Frankie,
you are a fantastic football player for a commander's team
that it just seems like they're skyrocketing right now.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Thank you for being here. You're the first guest to
ever say he watched us growing up.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
But that's what happens when you're on longing off Frankie
Luver from the Commanders, And please check out that documentary
around the NFL YouTube.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Thanks man. That's a good dude right there.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Back here on Good Morning Football for a little news
for you, and we're gonna start with Miami Dolphins running
back Devon a. Chan had nearly fifteen hundred yards of
total offense in twenty twenty four, but the dual threat
running back says even though he played in all seventeen
games last season, he can do a lot more heading
into his third season in Miami.

Speaker 10 (26:39):
Boy As I probably say, like in the risk, I
always want to, you know, try to you know, hit
a thousand yards and then fo the yards passing. That's
like I feel like I can do that far as
how much I'm being used. And like the past game
I was last year because I had a lot of
receptions and you watch the film, Like I said, I
feel like I left a lot, like a lot of players,
so I feel I could have did more, you know
what I'm saying, Like while going back and watch the

(26:59):
year and like the coot ups, I feel like, I mean,
I left a lot of yards.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
On the table.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Free agent safety Jamal Adams, who spent the first three
seasons of his career with the Jets, says he'd love
to return to New York to patch up their relationships.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Adam's telling the Jets Lounge quote, I would love to
be back with the Jets and finish it the right way.
And Packers head coach Matt Lafleur was recently on the.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Christims Unbuttoned podcast and talked about the possibility of Aaron
Rodgers joining the Steelers, to which the Flora replied, quote,
I certainly see that coming to fruition here pretty shortly.
Rogers biographer also told a Pittsburgh radio station he expects
a resolution by.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
The end of May.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
All right, coming up next to our guy West was
an FCS legend when he played at Montana State back
in the day. I'm going to put the guides to
the test here to see what other FCS stars they can.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Name in a game we call saving space, saving face.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Good morning football, Welcome back everybody. Happy Monday to you.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
It's a happy Monday here in Los Angeles. Also out
in New York where Wes Wilson is hanging out with
Kyle Brant and we're all going to play a little
game here saving face. And we're doing it because we
have a Montana State legend here with us, and you
know Jones, Yeah, West, take us back to your time there.

(28:34):
First of all, what was the mascot by the way
at Montagekats.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Thank you for saying legend. Really, here we go, guys.
First off, Bozeman, Montana one of the most beautiful places
in the whole world. So not only like good football town.
It's just gorgeous. Yes, but there's no pro sports teams.
Con I were just talking.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
It is Montana State football and basketball every day of
the weeven, and just an incredible place to play. I
grew up in Columbia, Missouri, where I saw missoo football
multiple times, where I was like, I feel like this
is a much cooler experience.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Ah, okay, so produced back to the SEC. Yeah. It
just is a great place and they care a lot.
So I had a blast.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
No, no, let's do this a little saving face FCS edition.
I'm gonna give you guys three clues and you'll try
to guess which FCS legend we're talking about here. So, Kyle,
you're gonna start us off.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
You ready, Yeah, let's go, Come on, come on, let's go.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Here we go first, Okay, I've played for five teams
in the last five seasons.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Entering twenty twenty five. I should have been an NFL
and Super Bowl MVP. I promise that. And then my
teams have played in two Super Bowls, But I did not.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
Who am I?

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Oh not? How I thought that?

Speaker 5 (29:51):
I thought it was Joe Flacco.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
But Joe Flacco was Super Bowl MVP, not not League MVP.
I don't have teams have played in two Super Bowls.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
But I did not. That means he was a backup.
I don't know. I only have Joe Black ol West,
you got I was gonna go Flacco as well. That's
not right and it's definitely a QB.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
So who is it?

Speaker 5 (30:14):
Is it backup quarterback?

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (30:17):
Wow, you idiot, Kyle the idiots. That's so that's easy.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
I feel like the hid should have been not Nick Foles.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Yeah okay, yeah, yeah yeah. Look at that.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
He's on all these different teams. He should have been MVP.
He got hurt there he is back on the Washington
football team and then with the Rams.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
All right, so that one was pretty easy and I'm
pretty stupid. So Mike, are you up next? Brock? Brock's
up next? No, I love Carson.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Okay, here we go, clue.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
I played college football and play professional football in the
same state I was born. I won Super Bowl MVP,
I won the receiving triple crown.

Speaker 7 (31:00):
Please, you know, please tell me a receiving triple crown.
I know this, and the fact that like it's right,
he got it, you got it receiver.

Speaker 5 (31:13):
I've played with him.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Yeah, yeah, night, Yeah, I played.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
Wait did you play against Yeah, at the same conference.
What was Cooper cup like? And Easter watching just as good.

Speaker 6 (31:32):
I watched him to a touchdown on like a post
and go like holding the middlefield.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
And the safety is forty yards away from him. Twenty
four He is, Yeah, probably one of the best players
I've played against. Yeah with Hey, he's unreal. All right, Well,
let's let's find out what you got here.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Okay, wes here we go. Clue number one.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I am currently playing for a rival of the team
to draft me. I won Super Bowl MVP, and I'm
supposed to be the starter.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
But everyone is talking.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
About this is going to be a Delaware Blue Hen.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Hey.

Speaker 6 (32:11):
If I'm not mistaken, good job, Delaware Blue Hen. I'm
only female mascot in Division one sport, the Blue hen
is it's a hen.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
Oh, it's a hen. So it's a leading female mascot. Thanks. Well,
I love like the lady ball female. Yeah, but like
the male men's teamer. That's really cool. Fun fact, I
know that. All right. So Flacco obviously drafted by the.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Ravens, who are rivals of the Browns Super Bowl MVP.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
I thought he was the first.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Answer, because I'm stupid, but you knew Flacco was gonna
get in here somewhere.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
He's like mister Delaware.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
He is mister Delaware, him and him and Joe Bijo
E b thinking about you, mister Biden.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
Thank you very much, mister President. He's in the news
right now. Not really good news there, but he is
very heavily associated with Delaware. Coyleing what else we got?

Speaker 2 (32:52):
All right, Kyle? You ready? I am a Hall of
Fame pass rusher on a historic defense.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
I led the NFL in sacks and won the Super
Bowl in the same season in and I was the
Super Bowl twenty Oh MVP, I got this.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
One based on the last one.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Super Bowl twenty was played in January of.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Nineteen eighty six in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stop.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
The game was initially three nothing the Patriots. They were
winning after an early Walter Payton fumble, and then they
just got their doors blown off by the greatest football
team ever assembled. The Super Bowl MVP that day was
number ninety five, Richard Dent, the.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
Hall of Famer. Bring it up there? Oh wait, what,
I actually don't know what is the school? Do we
know the school, the school. Do we know the sea
and that's got pretty Germaine to the segment, do we
know the school?

Speaker 2 (33:44):
We're looking at Tennessee State.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Okay, good, Yes, it's lovely. Richard Dent also part of
the music video that the Bears released before the playoffs
began that year about how they would win the Super Bowl.
It's an incredible thing. If you put it in modern times,
people's head would explode. But Dent, awesome guy, Hall of
fameer fantastic in that game. Great great, great player.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Keep us coming on is exploding from you. Just your recall.
Your mind is a beautiful place.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Kyle, Okay, ready, Brock, come on, here we go. I
was named first team All Pro ten times.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Okay, I won Super Bowls with two Hall of Fame quarterbacks,
and I have scored more.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Touchdowns than any player in NFL history. Who am I?

Speaker 5 (34:35):
I want to say, Jerry Rice doesn't get Yeah, the
Hall of Family and that's what STEVEE.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Young and Joe Moanhannah and Mississippi Valley State guys. Nineteen
eighty five draft, sixteenth overall pick number eighty Jerry Rice.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Wow the goat? Yes, huh, Okay, we have one more
Rat and Kyle.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Okay, here we go, Yes, ready, here we go.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
I am one of eleven players to win multiple MVP Awards.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
I was supposed to be a backup for the team.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
I took to the Super Bowl and I broke Colleen
Wolf's finger on national television.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Who am I?

Speaker 5 (35:21):
Okay, this is a good one.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
You know this guy?

Speaker 5 (35:24):
They're supposed to be a backup. Yes, he makes the
super Bowl, but Nick, it's not Nick Foles. He also,
I don't had a clue.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
This guy started Super Bowls for two different franchises, and
he started three super Bowls but he.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
Only won one.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Still playing no long since retired but very very famous quarterbackers.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
That was a movie made about his footdog.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Energy, like an actual theatrical movie.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
Yes, guys, I'm blanking out. Okay, he used to work
in a grocery store. Could you do you know the school?

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Does that give it away?

Speaker 5 (35:54):
Is that too easy of a hint? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:56):
We keep asking the school in the segment, but we
don't seem to have it.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
So let's focus in the school. In the segment about schools,
let's not focus on the school. Yeah, Northern I oh
tru warnutes it still count for me, sir. We'll count
it friendly. Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Yeah, that's a They have the video that they would
like to play again of me breaking my finger, so
for one last time, let's see it.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Yeah yeah, I mean we were in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
I was not missing this ball and I was gonna
lay out. Listen. I am a delicate flower. I'm like
a baby bird, and my bones.

Speaker 5 (36:43):
Are just brittle.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
But yeah, it broke my finger and I had to
wear one of the I had a baldy finger for
a little bit. So then Baldy and I did training
camp together and we were like pinky twins. But yeah,
then everything Joe is better. Yeah, man, that place is
so hot in the middle of the summer.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
Yikes. Yeah, Chief's training camp.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
So there's your fun fact for you. Good job.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
But the game, Gang, I mean, people want to sleep.
They can sleep, you know. I have no issue with that.
It's been something I've had to deal with my whole life.
So I'm going to continue to do what I need
to do to be successful and play as long as
I can in this league.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Cam scataboo.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
Okay, Kyle, are you okay at this very moment because
I know that you have been on Skataboo corner forever.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
It seems like, so now you get a chance to
see him in his jersey.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Jersey numbers there with Abdol Carter thoughts.

Speaker 5 (37:34):
What do you think I mean? It's absolutely perfect? Those
are my thoughts. It's the real ones.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Know that that is forty four was worn by Ahmad Bradshaw,
who actually has some similar skill sets to Cam Scataboo.
But it's not always Scataboo for me, guys, I talk
about other things.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Sometimes it's not always.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
There's a lot of players in the league. There's a
lot of rookies that I celebrate. Here's my thoughts on
this jersey and West you got to hear this. I
have the sun Devil's jersey. I got this and I
love to always have it. So I've been asking for weeks.
I'm ready to receive a Giants jersey, and I'm talking
to the Giants and now I'm specifically talking.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
To Brian Dable Dave's I Love You we Vibe. Scataboo
is a perfect table player.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
I would like to represent him as the East Coast
New York branch of Good Morning Football with the camp
Scataboo jersey.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
I wear it every day. I don't care. I'll sleep
in it. I love the player like you do so
the New York Giants. If I have to come down
and get it myself, that's fine, I'll do it.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
I would like a home blue Camscataboo forty four jersey.
I don't think it's too much ask thank you.

Speaker 6 (38:31):
I a redtro yeah, the vintage, like the more royal
blue with the oh the red stripes.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
I'll take it. That's fine. Sick.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
What do you think of the picture? Bring the picture back.
Let's admire this eye candy from the Giants. I do
Carter and Scataboo.

Speaker 5 (38:44):
I do Carter having a jersey number.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
Finally, that's over. And I did hear I was tipped off.
Someone suggested fifty one. Yeah, maybe live on answers exclusively
me and their name might have been caught.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
It was me like, I'm waiting for Abdul to credit me,
and if he doesn't, that's fine. But I did put
it out there that fifty one is perfect and it
looks excellent.

Speaker 5 (39:00):
Those two guys look great. Rock. What do you think, Brock, Yeah,
I think they great. I think they look great.

Speaker 7 (39:05):
I think forty four, like you said, definitely fits Scatibo
and you know the mad brash Ow area era, so
you know, shout out to him and like you, like
we said, you know, he finally, I do, finally has
a number.

Speaker 5 (39:18):
So let's get to work.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Let's go back and see the receipts.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
I want to take a look at what Kyle said
when he suggested, what's what's fifty one?

Speaker 5 (39:25):
We sure do see it.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Abdul Carty says he wanted fifty six. Yes, he wanted eleven. No,
so he wanted this right, So fifty six and eleven
were both gone. But watch, I'm gonna do a magic
trick right here, go with this, Go with fifty one.

Speaker 5 (39:41):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Fifty one is available on the Giants roster right now.
Fifty one is not retired by the New York Giants.
It's half of LT, it's half of SIMS.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Kyle.

Speaker 5 (39:52):
It's so perfect.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
I love this so much.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (39:56):
He went from he went from asking Lawrence Taylor for
his number straight to taking request from Kyle Brandt.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
Got to go to k B. It's there.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
You know, the Giants have I think ten retired numbers.
So like they're already running short, and not to mention
the fifty three that already have it and fifty one
was just sitting there.

Speaker 5 (40:17):
I love it. I think Giants fans will love it
and have dual Carter, I'm very proud you made the
right choice.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
I feel like Kyle, you might be clairvoyant as well,
just a little bit. But so if you have any
predictions or just you know, takes about what our life
is going to be like in the future, let me
know or let us know.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
But also sure, Colleen, you you have a lot of
roller skating in your future. And maybe like some old
eighties headphones on a popsicle, that's you this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
You know what, You're not wrong, You're really not far
off from the truth here speaking of giants rookies though,
Jackson Dart cam scataboo here, we'll taking a look. This
is first of all, like, okay, this photo shoot is
giving all sorts of vibes.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
We love that, but what do you think for the
think of it?

Speaker 5 (41:02):
Jackson Dart looks here, be honest, he's hitting. He's hitting
the rizzler. Look at that jacket, Dalen Brunson that just
came out. What do you think about the eye.

Speaker 6 (41:11):
Wear sunglasses inside aren't my favorite move.

Speaker 5 (41:15):
But the Giants, rookies, let's all calm down. Okay, what
do you mean.

Speaker 6 (41:18):
I believe in you guys, but just not that wearing
sunglasses inside is the same thing as asking Lawrence Taylor
for his number. But uh, and then we didn't the
Leaks get a jersey unretired last year too.

Speaker 5 (41:28):
They like that. Let's just let's do something on the field. Guys. Okay,
but I am I do want Dark to take to
win the job.

Speaker 6 (41:33):
Okay, love Jamis, but in week one I just think
it would be we know what Russ and Jamis are.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
I'm here for the personality.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Give me sunglasses inside, get roller blades on, do whatever
you want. I need to know, like your personality and
what you're about.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
And you know what, sunglasses inside. It's a power move
and that shows confident.

Speaker 6 (41:53):
Let's get let's get hard knocks in the Giants' qb roomanent.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
I don't think they want anything to do with that
program now. They had a tough run with hard Knocks last.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Year, grabbing nightmares about it. We'll be back after this
