partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hello, how are you? This is Good Morning Football. Glad
you stop by.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
We are brought to you by Old Trapper View Jurkey.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
How's always?
Speaker 3 (00:16):
It's Monday, October twenty seventh, Halloween. Wee feeling a little spooky,
feeling a little bit like that decrepit hand that's on
our table this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I'm Jamie Hurd All.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
This is Manthay Teo and Isaiah Standbag. We're hanging in
La Kyle Brandt headed to Parts unknown after unrolling unraveling
an angry runs Monday. Congrats to James Cook this after
going to Western New York.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
That's our show. That's it, guys, We're no, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
We have to roll the open. We got highlights from Sunday.
Let's go GMFB on a Monday.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
We'll go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Welcome to Good Morning Football presented by Old Trapper. That's right,
be on a Monday.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
I love the crew that works on this show, specifically
because Mantai. You remember last week one of our wonderful
studio crew members, Luna comes running in here because what
did he have to do for this table.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
You have to turn on the to turn on that globe.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Globe, Can you turn that on for us?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Because I feel like if that thing is turned on,
maybe we'll figure out what the heck is going on
with the twenty twenty five NFL season.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Do you have the answers?
Speaker 1 (01:29):
What is happening?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
We can't keep things straight.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
You think one thing's gonna happen with the Eagles or
the Giants, or the Vikings or the Chargers, you're absolutely wrong.
If you had a prediction yesterday, you were probably incorrect.
So let's just correct everybody, shall we. Let's start with
Sunday Night Football.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Paper and Steelers.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
It was wildly headline heavy heading into this one. Can
we retire the color yellows for the NFL season?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
It was?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
It was just a lot Chargers Steelers, well done, and
now let's cap it Calf the highlighter Rogers to DK Medcalf.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
This thing is working.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Stealers would take a sixteen to seven lead in this
game early, However, the second half was quite kind to
the Green Bay Packers and very kind to Tucker Craft.
This maniac is from Timberlake, South Dakota. His entire town
was in the five hundred square foot bar that's in Timberlakes,
South Dakota last night, and NBC with the Investment of
the Century sent a camera crew there to show it
(02:24):
during the broadcast. It was so perfect, well done, Tucker
Craft and well done Saveon Williams. After Kraft works the
Packers offense all the way down the field. That's who
Jordan Love finds for an eight yard TD. Packers now
cut the lead sixteen to fourteen.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Pittsburgh still hanging around a.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Lot of field goals. Man, what an effort defensively. That
fall perfectly rolls into Christian Watson fingertips for thirty three yards.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Now we're still working.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Oh my gosh, Josh Jacobs none other. If you're in
the red zone and you're feeling a little weird about
third down, fourth down, just give it to Jacobs and
he'll punch this one in three RTD.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Now Rogers meet Micah.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Micah wearing the really elusive number one for the Green
Bay Packers handed down to him and he got the
former Packers quarterback Parsons six and a half sacks on
the season. Now after Sunday Night Football, ensuing Packers' possession
and he will take it all the way in on
dare I say at National Holiday for the tight Ends
that is Tucker Craft. Really cool postgame interview with Melissa
(03:27):
Stark with that man Jordan Love, Micah Parsons, and Tucker Craft.
Again shout out to Timberlay, South Dakota Love those guys
Packers who win this one thirty five twenty five with
an insane second half effort for the Packers and Jordan
Love looked well within his means to quarterback this team
for the remaining years of his career. Afterwards, Jordan Love
(03:48):
spoke about that second half that I referenced that was
ever so positive for the.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Backers and I was just playing.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
You know, I think you getting that as a player
where you just you know, start flowing and playing well
and everybody around me just making plays as well, executing
at a high level. So you know, obviously think we
knew we.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Needed to change at halftime.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
I'm just glad we were able to go out there
and do that and start making some big time plays.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Well, it's great for Jordan. Jordan's worked his off to
get here. You know, he was patient.
Speaker 6 (04:19):
Throughout the process, throughout the.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Journey, and he just he took advantage of the opportunity.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
He really did.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Well.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Matt Lafleura then looked into this Halloween ball that knows everything,
and he knew it was going to work out for
Jordan Love because he's worked his tail off. Manti, did
you see this thing coming for the Packers against the Steelers?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I didn't see it coming that way, Jerry.
Speaker 7 (04:40):
But let me say, Jordan Love, I thought that the
transition and the corrections that they made in the second half,
I thought was phenomenal. I thought in the first half
it looked like Jordan was trying to outplay Aaron Rodgers.
He was trying to make the highlight play. He was
throwing the play, throwing the ball down the field when
he had some guy who's running open within ten yards.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Of the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 7 (04:59):
And then the second half comes along in those adjustments
they made at halftime with Jordan Love and and coach
laflor he started taking what the defense was giving him.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Guys.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
He threw twenty strict completions in the second half, like
they were just you were just racking them up and
racking them up. And he kept putting his offense and
very very good down in distances, which allowed coach Laflor
to open up that playbook and get fancy from time
to time.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
But when you have somebody like Jordan Love and you have.
Speaker 7 (05:24):
Somebody like Tucker Craft, and Tucker Craft is turning eight
yard passes into twenty yard games and he's.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Doing flips off the ground. That's the type of energy
that they're playing with last night.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
And it's easy to play with that type of energy
when you have somebody like Jordan Love who seems to
be like how you said, in this little zone where
everything was coming easy to him.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
As long as it.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
Continues to take those easy throws and those easy passes
and keep his offense within the sticks, I think they
will continue to see this type of dominance on offensive
side of the ball.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Well, Jamie, I didn't have a crystal ball.
Speaker 8 (05:57):
I didn't have anything to necessarily look into, but I
did have the vision right, and the vision that I
had was all about the Packers defense. These guys are
just too good on defense for the offense of the
Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Pittsburgh Steelers don't.
Speaker 8 (06:10):
Have enough weapons, and with the trade deadline approaching go
here with about seven days out something like that, Yeah,
they need to add another piece. DK Metcapp is one
heck of a piece. But what happens when you double
team him? Now, Aaron Rodgers is in a position with
five really good pass rushers where he has to.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Sit back and hold the ball.
Speaker 8 (06:26):
It's not necessarily what you want to be doing at
the age of forty one, and it's the reason why
these guys are only ten percent on third down. They
need to find more weapons for Aaron Rodgers, he's really good.
Keep him upright, give him more weapons. You might have
opportunity to go out there and do some things in
the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
All right, man, Sai, I think the all seeing I
now tells me that you have a you have business
to take care I got.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
Business, and they're talking about a team that took care
of business up there in Denver. Lest go to Denver, guys,
where the Cowboys visited the.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Denver bron Because there's bone Nicks.
Speaker 7 (06:55):
He had four touchdowns last last week, guys, all in
the fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
But he would start with a passing touchdown. Here he
hit is R J.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
Harvey, rookie out of UCF four forty yard touchdown will
put the Broncos on the board. Archie Harvey had three
total touchdowns yesterday. If you started him in your fantasy
football league, congratulations.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
But let's go to the second quarter.
Speaker 7 (07:14):
Right before halftime, bon Nicks hits Pat Bryant for a perfect.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
This is called what you call throwing it in the
bread basket.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
What an unbelievable day for bone Knicks.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Sad to see Pat shurtango out that way.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
We had a shorter thing, had an ankle thing earlier
in the game. But Dak Prescott tries to find cd
Leman throws an interception to Dendre Tillman. The Broncos winning
huge in Denver forty four.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
To twenty four. Dak Prescott threw.
Speaker 7 (07:42):
Two interceptions that yesterday's game. It wasn't a good day
for Dak Prescott in the offense, but it was a
good day for the Denver Broncos and those really really
good uniforms they are wearing. Afterwards, coach Champan got straight
to the point about the Broncos win.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 9 (07:59):
I love the fact that we took one of the
top defenses in football against one of the best off
and we won all right on that side of it,
and then the other side of it. It wasn't close.
I just didn't think they could keep up with what
we were doing. So I had said to the defense periodically,
(08:20):
can you guys keep up with us? I thought it
was a pretty one sided game.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Why is fan Peyton just spitting truths these days?
Speaker 3 (08:28):
My gosh, here we are cackling about Peyton at the
press conference.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Isaiah, you were back in Dallas yesterday working for.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
The Cowboys doing some of their TV stuff.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
I was on cleanup duty.
Speaker 8 (08:39):
I was on clean up duty last night for the
Dallas Cowboys. I worked about until about nine o'clock last
night trying to cover up for what the Dallas Cowboys
put out there and performance wise. But Sean Payton's did
all my work for me, so I really don't have
to say too much. That was the most blatant, direct
and truthful analysis of the game.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
That was a one sided game.
Speaker 8 (08:58):
The defense of the Denver Broncos is what I called McNasty.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, that's exactly what they are. These guys have pass
rushers go lower.
Speaker 8 (09:05):
I think they have four guys in the in the
top five in terms of past pass rushing category, quarterback pressure, sacks,
you know, all.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
The things, all the hurries.
Speaker 8 (09:16):
These guys were in the hip pocket of Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
All night long.
Speaker 8 (09:20):
Yeah, CD Lamb had about seventy plus yards. George Piggins
had seventy plus yards. But it didn't matter. These guys
baited Dak Prescott into a two interception game.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
They running, ruining his four game streak.
Speaker 8 (09:30):
I mean, defensively, we already know Matt Eberfluch's defense is.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Just not clicking right now.
Speaker 8 (09:36):
I actually feel sorry for him because he can't call zone.
They don't know what they're doing. He called man, guys,
get beat. I don't know what.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
You're supposed to do as a defensive coordinator.
Speaker 8 (09:43):
You can't call the plays and run the plays as
a decordinator. Somebody has to start doing some things in
a positive way defensively for cal I think you just.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Hit it right there today.
Speaker 7 (09:51):
Because a lot of people talk about coach ebra Flus
and his play calling. I mean I saw him run zone, miscommunications,
guys running wide open. I saw him run man safety,
not helping the right guys guys running. So if your
a defensive coordinator's kind of like, what else do you
want me to do?
Speaker 1 (10:07):
I can't.
Speaker 7 (10:08):
I can't do everything that there has to be some
some some onus on different.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Parts of that puzzle. But the puzzle that.
Speaker 7 (10:15):
Was working for me was a Denver Broncos defense. I mean, Isaiah,
you hit it like that Denver bronc That Denver Broncos
defense held Dak Prescott to season lows and this is
this is Dak Prescott that's in that that conversation that
we really don't like to talk about on this show,
like he's playing at a really, really high level that
not a lot of people are playing at yet. That
Broncos defense did it without passer tan majority of the game.
(10:39):
They didn't have passer tan the second half. And I
want to shout out the entire defense, vance Joseph, with
how they dealt with Riley Moss. Like Riley Moss leads
the league in defensive passing appearances and holding.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Did you see any any of his teammates.
Speaker 7 (10:55):
Getting on him like he was caught at least twice yesterday,
But did you see any anybody going up to him
be like, come on, man, do you job?
Speaker 1 (11:01):
None of that.
Speaker 7 (11:02):
It was just all about listen, we're gonna line up
and we're gonna play ball.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
We trusting each other no matter what happens.
Speaker 7 (11:08):
We're just gonna continue to execute, no matter who's out
on that field, no matter how many penalties.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Are caught against us.
Speaker 7 (11:14):
Jake Ferguson, who leads the league and touchdowns for a
tight end and catches.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Zero nothing zero. So I thought it was very.
Speaker 7 (11:25):
Impressive what the Denver Broncos did to a very very
good offense in the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Some people may have seen this come in for the
Bronco Sean Payton, great coach in his second year. You
can't tell me that you looked in this thing and
saw what was gonna happen with the Colts this season.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Don't just tell them.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Tell the truth to the all knowing mystery ball. Okay,
let's see him again, Titans, Colts, this thing happened yesterday,
Shane Sagen, What are you messing around and doing with
this team? This is an incredible start over thirty points
per game. They're seven and one. Spoiler alert, they beat
the Titans. All right, this is early second quarter. Daniel
Jones to Michael Wooman Jr.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Are you hitting me?
Speaker 3 (12:01):
I'm a fair of bleep about button for that far
cold take a seventeen seven lead. I mean Jalen Armor
Davis tried his best, but Michael Pittman's like, nah, you
can wrap me up seventeen different ways, and I'm still
going to bring this thing down. Daniel Jones was Kyle
Branch just called it the Daniel Jones Express is humming.
They're not making any stops and neither is that man.
Jonathan Taylor bounces to the outside in the third quarter.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
They had a seventeen to seven lead.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
After this TD and the extra point, it would be
a twenty four to seven leads. That was JT's second
touchdown of the day and his longest touchdown run of
his career.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeez, it's not fair, Jamie.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
It's not fair. Erry goes again. This one was a
pitch who was in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Jet Sweet, great blocking, fights through contact and a nineteen
yard TD. Everything coming up, Jonathan, you like.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Look happy.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Daniel Jones is showing the emotion with the hug.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Jonathan Taylor's like, yeah, I always could do this. I
just maybe needed you in town, my friend. Thirty eight fourteen.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I know it's the Titans, but it's still a divisional opponent.
It's still people are The target is getting bigger for
the Shanesyke and very aware of that.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
And at this point though, he's run out.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Of superlatives to describe just how great the run game
is behind Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker 10 (13:14):
It's hard to put into words, to be honest, because
when you see the way he's running, the way the
guys are blocking for him, I mean, it's it's special,
it really is. And he's running like I said, he's
running hard, he's running physical, and even when things aren't
clean in there, he's finding ways to get three to
four and then the eighty r touchdown. Run hit that
thing down the sidelines and stay in bounds. It was
(13:34):
impressive as it gets.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Colts have the best record in the NFL, and Mansai,
I'm not going to read the words that are in
front of me because us as a show editorially, I'm
taking a page at a Kyle's book, like I'm not
going to ask this question anymore. Are is it time
for us to start taking them seriously?
Speaker 2 (13:49):
We took him seriously a month ago. We really did.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
As an offense as a quarterback. This whole thing is
coming up Colts. Mantai, tell the good.
Speaker 7 (13:56):
People, why listen. There's zero weaknesses to this offense all right.
They can beat you in the run game. Now when
they can. When I say the run game, I'm not
just talking about the run game with the running back
Jonathan Taylor, who is the number one running back in
the league right now, but Daniel Jones can beat you
as well. And then in the past game I mentioned
it last week.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
They can beat you.
Speaker 7 (14:14):
At every part of the field short, medium, deep, left, center, right,
They can do it.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
They had what Shane Steichen has over there.
Speaker 7 (14:22):
He's this mad scientist where he picks different quadrants of
this field and he says, I'm gonna beat you here. Now,
I'm going to beat you here. Now, I'm gonna beat
you at this run game. And it's almost unfair. But
what is also unfair is we saw a lot of
offensive highlights.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
That defense is playing just as well. That defense is
causing turnovers.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
That defense is getting sex.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
The Forest Buckner and that little push broom and.
Speaker 6 (14:45):
Celebration that he has.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
He's been doing it for a couple of weeks straight now.
Speaker 7 (14:49):
So when I look at this Indianapolis coachs offense and
defense and special teams, it is the most well rounded
team in the NFL. They have the biggest point differential
in the NFL right now. So if you haven't bought
into what's happening over there in indian I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Else to tell you.
Speaker 6 (15:06):
You got there's seven and one.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
They're seven and one the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Not with peytony madding this is this is Indiana Jones.
Speaker 6 (15:16):
Indiana Jones is seven and one.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
This is no fake Pumpkins. Oh no, that is a
fake pumpkins.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (15:22):
This has me scratching my head.
Speaker 8 (15:25):
I can't really contemplate what's going on, but anyway, I
have to put some respect on it.
Speaker 6 (15:28):
Yeah, Indiana Jones is seven and one with.
Speaker 8 (15:31):
These Indianapolis Colts. And we always knew it, as you
just mentioned that their defense is really good. They've had
a good defense for years now, but it was always
a QB play. So now he shows up in town
and he's able to turn around and hand the ball
off to the league leader right now in running the ball.
Speaker 6 (15:46):
And Jonathan Taylor, who had twelve.
Speaker 8 (15:48):
For one hundred and fifty three, I repeat, twelve for
one hundred and fifty three. Danny, I almost call him
Danny Dimes almost got Indiana Jana Jones was last year's.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
That's right, that's true.
Speaker 8 (15:58):
That seventy two percent completion yesterday, he's averaging seventy.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
One percent on the year.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
That's insane.
Speaker 8 (16:05):
That is insane for a quarterback this far into the season.
Thirteen touchdowns, three intercepts. He is so successful right now,
and he's not having to bear the weight of the office.
It is evenly distributed and as long as they can
con see to do what they're doing, these guys are
going to be a problem.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
To stay on a spooky's stay on a spooky focus.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Quick, be quick.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Let's talk about that number one that that that's seven
under one. Yeah, it could be.
Speaker 6 (16:27):
Easily a zero totally. It could easily be.
Speaker 7 (16:29):
A zero because the game they played across the street
and so far against the.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Restaurants, it could have easily be an eight and zero.
But it is a seven to one.
Speaker 7 (16:36):
So just on some perspective of how scary the Indianapolis
Coats are right now, it's a team that's playing at.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
A very very high level and very very efficient right now.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Bronco's great, Colt's really good chiefs play tonight. Everything coming
up AFC. Let's check in with in Rapaport joining us
this morning our NFL Network insider wrap sheet, some injuries
and some to check in on before Monday Night football.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
What do you got for us?
Speaker 11 (17:01):
First, and we'll start with the start with the bad one.
Start with Cam Scattabou, the Giants running back who really
had emerged with one of the stars of not just
that franchise, of one of the fates is of the
league the early part of the season, just for his
energy and pure grit.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
He is now going to be out for.
Speaker 11 (17:17):
This season with a dislocated ankle. You can see the
reaction from Jackson Dard right there. One of the injuries.
You see it happen, you know immediately what it is.
Cam Scattabuu going off in.
Speaker 6 (17:26):
A cart lega mobilized.
Speaker 11 (17:28):
Had immediate surgery last night in a Philadelphia area hotel.
Now this is one where it's a bad injury. It's terrific,
nobody likes to see it. But the recovery, assuming all
goes well with the surgery, the recovery is actually not
as bad as maybe some other injuries, so he is
expected to be back for the start of next season.
Just done for twenty twenty five. For Patrick Shirtan, the
(17:49):
star corner for the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
You guys talked about what an.
Speaker 11 (17:52):
Unbelievable performance that Broncos defense had. He suffered a lower
leg injury, and then he suffered a shoulder injury, eventually
being knocked out of the game. He's gonna have some
testing an MRI later today. My understanding was based on
the initial exams, this is not considered to be a
major injury, which is obviously good news for one of
the best defensive players in the NFL. But more information
(18:14):
coming today. As for the Monday Night for the Washington Commanders,
we know that Jenden Daniel's not going to play already
willed out with a hamstring injury. Marcus Mario to the quarterback,
but some weapons are in fact back Deebo Samuel, who
has been battling a heel injury for the last several weeks.
Terry mccloridy as would do with a hip flexor slash
squad injury for the last several weeks. Both were full
(18:35):
this week in practice.
Speaker 6 (18:37):
Both are expected to.
Speaker 11 (18:38):
Play tonight, So some weapons back for Washington rap.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Sheet, thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
I know they'd rather have a different guy throwing the ball,
but Mariota has handled business before, and he will do
so to the best of his ability tonight for the
Commander's offense. Talk to me a little bit rap sheet guys,
Monday night football. I just mentioned it, Chiefs, Commanders. The
Chiefs absolutely manhandled the Raiders last time out.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
What can they.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Do the Commanders to put up a good fight?
Speaker 7 (19:03):
Come on, say, I think when you when you look
at the Chiefs, and I know you mentioned the Commanders, Jamien,
but listen when you bring up the Chiefs and the
type of thumping they put on last week, there's there's
this there's just fear that they're gonna come out flat.
Usually when somebody when a team beats up on a
team like that, they're like, oh, the next team can
the next week?
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Can they do it again? This is the Chiefs we're
talking about. Okay, this is a this is a championship
DNA team.
Speaker 7 (19:24):
I'm not worried that they're not going to show up
tonight and do what they have to do. So to
you answer your question, Jamie, I don't know what the
Commanders can do because the way that the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Are playing right now, it's gonna be tough. I mean,
it's gonna be tough come out.
Speaker 8 (19:38):
I'm gonna say both teams are reloaded. The Washington Commanders
have both of their guys back. This entire offense revolves
around Jaden Daniels, Scary Terry, and Deebo Samuel, their offseason acquisition.
Those three are going to be on the field today
for one of the few times we've seen and I
can't wait to.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
See what.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Marcus right.
Speaker 8 (19:58):
I'm sorry, yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
Yeah, forgot Okay, now I got back.
Speaker 7 (20:07):
I got a bet.
Speaker 8 (20:08):
I'm not changing because I like Marioda as a backup.
Mariota is a good backup quarterback. He is still a threat.
And as long as you have Deebo and Scary Terry,
you have your deep threat and you have your short guy.
Deebo Samuels gonna catch the ball five yards, run over
three people and get you a first down. Scary Terry
is gonna stretch out the seven the secondary, and then
dan Quinn has his guys, Wagner and.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
All those guys. Those guys are gonna have it from
my homes.
Speaker 6 (20:32):
I'm sticking with my guns.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
There goes in.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
You're just kareem through that take because you were in
that Rooky Bobby shirt.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
I'll hand.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
That's a continuing with the Halloween theme to a tongue
of ioloa.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
He were a pirate costume yesterday?
Speaker 6 (20:47):
Did you see him?
Speaker 2 (20:48):
He had the one eyepads right over the time.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
He had the one iPad.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Four touchdown passes for Miami, big time win over the Falcons.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
I am so what costume? Where the Falcon's going to
wear every week? I cannot figure this team out.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
That's how we started the show, Mattie and I will
not find the answers.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Probably until twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
You had a pirate cops to them.
Speaker 7 (21:04):
We had we had tight ends scoring touchdowns. We had
running back scoring touchdowns. We had a lot of stuff
for a lot of people are scoring touchdown it's a
big week. But are any of them getting a game ball?
Are any of them getting in game ball?
Speaker 6 (21:16):
We shall see. Don't you go anywhere?
Speaker 7 (21:18):
We have more highlights, we have more touchdowns, and we
have game boss.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Don't go anywhere? SHEMFP on of Monday?
Speaker 6 (21:25):
Who good mon? Alright, let's get to her again.
Speaker 8 (21:39):
The Bills facing the Carolina Panthers. Bields are coming off
of oh and two oh the last two games now
they have not win oh and three in a long time, right,
it's been there coming off of bye. So what that
doing when they come off by Yeah, give it to
that dude right there, James Cold. That dude takes all
four sixty eight yards or sixty four yards for the touchdown.
But later on in that game, y'all, you have to
(22:02):
get the ball to the big fella up front. The
big fella.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
When I talk about him, I'm talking about Josh Allen. No, no, no.
Speaker 8 (22:08):
Touch push needed when you're six five two forty five,
just go ahead and get in there for the sneak
all day long.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
These guys know how to put up points. That is
your guy right there.
Speaker 8 (22:17):
Now, later on in the game, third quarter, you get
the ball to who speeding Gonzales aka Khalil Shaker takes
all down the sideline fifty four.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
Yards for a touchdown. You're not gonna catch them. The
bells go ahead, finish this thing off.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
They win the game to forty to nine.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Go to Atlanta.
Speaker 7 (22:35):
Let's take it to the Atail where Dolphins take on
that Atlanta Falcons. Kirk Cousins got to start because Michael
Pendix was out with the injury. Third quarter, Now Falcons
are trailing seventeen to three, and Bijon Robinson fumbles.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
The ball and is recarded by.
Speaker 7 (22:50):
Dolphins tyro dots. And let's take a look at this.
Nobody touches him. It kind of just bounces off his
knee and they're just like this scramble.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
This mass scramble.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
Bijon has fumbled a few times the past couple weeks.
But this guy with one eye his favorite target, Jalen Wattle,
and he goes forty three yards for a touchdowns.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
That's called speed.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
There's fast and then there's fast fast. That's Jalen Wattle.
Speaker 7 (23:16):
The Falcons will lose to the Dolphins thirty four to ten.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Tool gets his what you said he was a pirate?
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Jamie alright with the patch here, I guess let's go two. Listen,
the Patriots did something at their home game that they
haven't done since two thousand and one, which is Mike
Braebel brought the player introductions back and started the game.
Drake May was beside himself about this because he said,
and I quote, I.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Don't have a lot of swagger. You don't need it,
Drake May.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
When you can play quarterback the way you're doing that,
all right, that's Hunter Henry good for seven with the kick. Obviously,
Patriots will take a sixteen to seven lead. Dylan Gabriel
not great, my friends, not great. My young quarterback that
is Robertsplane has been around the block and the defense.
He knows when he can see ball, take ball, run
it back for thirty two yards. That was Gabriel's first
pick though after one hundred and twenty two past attempts.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
So okay, I will forgive you. You know what is not
for giving.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Miles Garrett unforgiving, unrelentless, all powerful, all seeing sack asher
five sacks single game franchise record.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Garrett's now got one hundred and twelve.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
And a half, which it passes Reggie White for the
most sacks under the age of thirty. Look at stuff
on dag celebrate first TD for Diggs almost took Drake
made down a little more spry though than that quarterback
in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
May was not as mad as Rogers was. Then the
airmail later to Kyle's.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Guy k Shower Boody, any excuse we get to say
booty on.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
The show, Well take it.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Miles Garrett devastated despite being just an absolute beast, coming
off the defensive line, Patriots fans thrilled bouncing around with
those retro look and jackets once again, Rabele bringing the
juice back into the building for the New England Patriots,
who are still despite the Bills winning on Sunday as
well AFC East leading at six and two.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
So, coach, what do you make of and your quarterback?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
What do you make of the MVP chance we've been hearing.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
No, I didn't hear it.
Speaker 12 (25:06):
The guys were making fun of me about my slide
back in the huddle on the long run, so I
didn't hear it. But the fans have been been awesome
all season. It's been really cool to see the difference
from last year to this year. Man A, It's been
a journey.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
It's been a journey to the top.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
That's what I would say if I were Drake May
Patriots six and two. This is incredible what Mike Rabel
has done. I keep referencing a quote that he had
in his introductory press conference which his character is tested
and shown when you are down in the basement, down
in the dumps. Patriots have not been there. They are
at the top of this division. They beat the Bills
a couple of weeks ago. They now they are looking
down at everybody. Fifth straight win. Mansai, what do you
(25:44):
make of what you saw from New England at home
against the Browns?
Speaker 1 (25:46):
All right, Jim, I got a question for you.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
You said that Mike Vrabel decided to do the player
intro for the first.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Time since two thousand and one he was on the team.
They did away with Belichick announcing individuals as they run
out of tumble. It was just essentially and it's where
the Tom Brady just running. Let's go with the whole team.
It was just the whole group. Here are the New
England Patriots now for the first times and so one
it was just the offense. For Abel said, you know what,
my guys work at it.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
They work hard. Let's give them their flowers. And that's
what happened.
Speaker 6 (26:15):
How big that is? Huge?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
How huge that is you know what I mean?
Speaker 7 (26:17):
Say, like for a coach to come in there who's
been a part of a winning culture, a winning culture,
but then they say, listen, I'm gonna win, but do
it my way. I'm going to do it that Mike vrabelway,
and I'm going to do it in a way that
I think has everybody on that team has bought in.
When I watch this New England Patriots team, I don't
see a team it's a lot like the coach. I
don't see a team that has a lot of weaknesses.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
I don't. I think the only weakness.
Speaker 7 (26:40):
That I saw earlier in the season, where their tendency
is to fumble the ball, that they seem to kind
of remedy that whole situation. I see a team that,
over the past few weeks has consistently found ways to
get better. Whether it's getting the ball to different people
where there's Drake may continue to be poison the back,
and whether it's the defense taking the ball away and
turning it back over to the offense.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I see a.
Speaker 7 (27:02):
Team that's continuing to improve. They're continuing to take on
the identity of their head coach, that is Mike Brabel,
a fun, physical bunch that just goes out there in
play together. Everything that Mike Brabel encompassed as a player,
from the position of playing both ways, catching touchdown passes
and getting sacks. He was a selfless player, and I
(27:22):
see a selfless team. So I love what I see
from the New England Patriots.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
I'm rooting for him.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
I mean, I think for all of these years, everybody
didn't like to see the Patriots do well.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
I love seeing the Patriots do well.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
I'm flabbergasted. I just am.
Speaker 8 (27:35):
I did not have these expectations of the New England Patriots.
I am just being honest with you. I did not,
But I am pleasantly surprised. And the thing is, you
just took the word right out of my mouth. These
guys are selfless. That is what the Patriots are all about.
So even though Varible might be changing aspects of the
Patriots way right, the way that they used to run things.
(27:56):
When they're winning ring after ring, he's bringing his element
to it, and these guys that selflessness still remains.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
That's what is all.
Speaker 8 (28:02):
About the identity of Patriots ball. The reason why you
know that that's the case because it's a different person
every game. It is a different person every game. You're
not hearing a bunch of individual names. You're hearing contributors. Right,
Stefan Densch's got his first touchdown.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
He was the one of their biggest off season acquisitions.
He just got his first score.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
So what does it mean when you can have contributors at.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
Every position group and nobody is a me guy. It
means that you're going to have team success, and that's
exactly what's taking place out there in New England.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
What's incredible about the Patriots as well is that they
are one of the rare very late in the season
week fourteen by teams, And sometimes when we see a
schedule unfold like that, we are often concerned this time, like, man,
the team just got to get to the buy. You
just got to make it there. Patriots, you don't get
that sense about them. They are humming on all cylinders
and their November schedule is fascinating, one of which is
because they have a couple of less challenging opponents at home. However,
(28:51):
they do have to go to Tampa Bay, which is
going to be I think a really really really good test.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (28:56):
The thing is like, you want to know, Okay, are
these guys going to win the East?
Speaker 4 (29:00):
I think that it's possible. I know most people would.
Speaker 8 (29:02):
Naturally say, Okay, Buffalo's going to do it, but look
at this, these guys are gonna they have a great chance.
And I don't want to say that you can look
past any team.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
But Falcons, Jets, Bengals.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Giants on the road.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Now they got a host.
Speaker 8 (29:16):
As I look at the schedule, I say, okay, you
got the Buccaneers, you have the Bills, and you have
the Race, and you have the Ravens. I think the
Ravens are going to be back strong by that time.
So that's three games that you lose. Okay, cool, so
you go whatever, you know you lose, you lose five
games total. Now on the flip side, the Buffalo Bills,
I think they're gonna end up in the same exact spot.
They got to face the Chiefs. Okay, yeah, that's going
to be a monster. Yeah, the Buccaneers, that's going to
(29:36):
be a monster. The Steelers, we know that they like
to fight, and then you have the Eagles. Outside of that,
obviously the Patriots and then the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
They have a tougher road than the Patriots do.
Speaker 6 (29:47):
So there's five potential losses.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
As I look at that schedule for the Buffalo Bills,
and there's only three potential losses that I see for
the Patriots, you.
Speaker 6 (29:54):
Look at it that way, they should win the East.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Well, they have a tougher road.
Speaker 7 (29:58):
However, the Patriots also have the more complete team.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
You look at you look at the Bills.
Speaker 7 (30:04):
They have they have one of the best quarterbacks in
the NFL, if not the But then you have a
very you have a struggling defense, and then you have
you're you're trying to figure out what's what receiver does
Josh Allen like to go to. I don't think he's
comfortable yet. Yeah, clear secure came on the scene yet
yet last week, just yesterday. But does that continue? I
think it changes from week to week. Keyon Coleman sometimes,
(30:27):
Dalton Kinkaid other days. I think he's still trying to
figure out where he's most comfortable. Where you're looking at
somebody like Drake may where to your point and say
he can he can go to Booty one week, he
can go to Stefan Diggs other week. He can go
so many different routes and they're just as dynamic and
they're just as impactful. So from a defense that I'm
going against a Patriot offense, I can't key on anybody
(30:48):
right like when I when I think of somebody like
the Dallas Cowboys, I can key on certain people. With
the Patriots, you don't know who's going to be the future,
the future because there is none. So when I look
at the teams themselves, regardless of schedule. I'm looking at
a Patriots team that's just built better as far as offensively, defensively,
and special teams that they can they can beat you
(31:09):
in various ways.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Until Sunday Night Football happened, the AFC had won every
single game on Sunday and the in games against the NFC.
SO Pats Bill's Texans, for example, I know we am
a Texans fan that was mad that I did this
to their helmet during the playoff predictions.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
It's game ball time, guys.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
We need a game ball for this segment, but I'm
not supposed to catch it.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
We don't want Jamie throwing nothing around here.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Cherry, you're hanging because Kyle is gone and you are.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
You are coming back into the game ball swing, so
I can't lead to hear your answer. Manti, you are
a first Thank you.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
You be very very careful.
Speaker 7 (31:48):
My game ball goes to an individual but also a team,
the Jets.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
I'm going to get my game ball to Bruce Hall.
Speaker 7 (31:55):
The game that Breas Hall had, he had eighteen cares
for one hundred and thirty three yards.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
And two rushing touchdowns.
Speaker 7 (32:00):
But the touchdown that I thought was just phenomenal, was
the one that he threw. The reason why is because
if you watched that play, he was going to initially
throw it right when he got the ball, but he
held onto the ball to wait for his to see
how you pump fakes, waits and then he throws the
ball and what an.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Incredible catch by his tight end. But I thought that
Breece Hall was a heartbeat of that.
Speaker 7 (32:19):
Team, and I'm so glad that they won the game because,
to Justin Field's point, they really really needed it and
they were praying for it.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
So game ball freeze Hall nice.
Speaker 8 (32:28):
So yeah, Breese Hall had one heck of a day.
You'll say that, right, But there's somebody who had more.
Or his name is James and he likes to cook
nineteen for two hundred and sixteen yards.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
This man is just a nemesy. If you give him
past the second level linebackers, he gotta get his game over.
Speaker 8 (32:48):
Turn the controllers off, turn the system off, because you're
not going to catch them. He's just gonna flip on you,
just like that all day long.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
James Cook is back. Buffalo is back.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
The ball sceptor. Yeah got it? Okay, good, well done.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
I love those options running back. I go quarterback for
my game ball. Two a tongue of I loo against
my game ball. We were really impressed and proud of
what Justin Fields came out and said about what he
went through in the last week.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
With that went two has had.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
No walk in the park with what's been said about him,
with what he has said at the podium and how
that's been critiqued and picked apart.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
He went to Atlanta and said, I call game.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
With four passing TDS guys, and that play in particular,
if you want to have some fun on social media
to Jalen Waddle, that is an identical play call to
what those two ran in Alabama in the twenty eighteen
SEC Championship game. The route right across the middle and
Jalen Wattle just turns up the Jets. And I haven't
even spoken to the fact that Two was wearing a
visor for the first time since high school because he
(33:45):
arrived to the game with a almost swollen close left eye.
Personal story, My dad is blind and when I his
depth perception is terrible.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
And I say that with love, like he fully taught me.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
To shoot a basketball, like understanding that it's true.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
If you were sitting right here, we would be like
you would be laughing same way. So the fack that
Tua could just show up. And my dad was born
that way, and like Tua's just like I can't see
out of this eye and it's my left eye. Actually,
it is remarkable what he did yesterday.
Speaker 13 (34:15):
And you know my dad, I do, Dad, Okay, be
careful everybody Jamie is, she's breaking stuff, she's breaking hearts.
Like if Jamie's dad could catch stuff from Jamie, anybody.
Speaker 6 (34:28):
Can't catch stuff.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Yea, I love you, and.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Like you taught me how to pack right, like he
taught me how to pass because his shot was so
off because of his depth perception.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Like that's actually why I'm a good passer. The back
of Tua.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
Could not his left eye yesterday it was completing four
touchdown passes is seriously remarkable and I actually think while
it was covered, it is not acknowledged enough.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
How hard that probably was.
Speaker 8 (34:47):
Your debth perception was off so bad a basketball right, yeah, and.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
His left eye.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
I would get you in my left eye if I.
Speaker 6 (34:59):
Love your dad.
Speaker 14 (34:59):
Yes, I'm gonna stick with our running back theme here
for my game ball.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
I am going to Baltimore.
Speaker 14 (35:06):
Derrick Henry, we talked about a little bit earlier in
the show passes Walter Payton for fifth place on all
time rushing TV list. You think back to the season
he's had. How many of these balls have been on
the ground for Derrick Henry, which we are not used
to seeing. But he is finding the end zone a
place he deservedly ends up being and fitting.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Also, it is a Monday and we did an angry runs.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
He got a lot of scepters.
Speaker 14 (35:29):
He's getting my game ball. But I guess also give
an honorary mention to our crew that they did clean
up the Yeah, the broken angry sceptor, So for everyone
there past miss Lound also Derek.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
The amount of pieces that the anger receptor broke into
is how many sceptors, and Derek Henry has one.
Speaker 7 (35:45):
I think it's also the amount of pieces that the
Hearts broke. For all the tight Ends that scored on
tight End National Day and.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
We didn't get one game.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
He got enough love.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
I should have He's all right, Yeah, he got enough
love from them.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
He should have got one.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Just with a flip itself.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Yeah, that.
Speaker 15 (36:09):
Sorry, Kyle, love me Dad.
Speaker 6 (36:24):
Each week.
Speaker 7 (36:25):
At this time I hand out my defensive Pro Player
of the Week, and this one was really a no brainer.
We head to New England where Brown star pass rusher
Miles Garrett put on a show five sacks. Let me
say it again, five sacks and as you see on
his cleat, he said it was written.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
It definitely was written. You went an amazing stat.
Speaker 7 (36:44):
Miles had eight pressures yesterday, half of the entire team's pressures.
For the entire season, Miles Garrett has over twenty eight
percent of his team's total pressures.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
He is literally a one man wrecking crew.
Speaker 7 (36:57):

Speaker 1 (37:11):
On desktop and the mobile web. Sherif Burst, I now
pass that crown to you.
Speaker 14 (37:16):
Is it Miles Garrett who for Halloween has all the
quarterbacks that he sacked in his yard? You got a
lot of work to do, man, Halloween does have a
couple more days. We do want to give our flowers
to the Jets as we look ahead.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
They pulled off their first win.
Speaker 14 (37:31):
Of the season over the Bengals on Sunday, and that
was in thanks to Breese's hallwork in the run game,
rushing for one hundred and thirty three yards but two scores.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Also, it was his passing skills, however.
Speaker 16 (37:42):
Securing the win.
Speaker 14 (37:43):
Now Hall had the game winning touchdown pass to Mason Taylor.
Trying to ask you a little trivia question based off
of this here we posted it online. Haul is the
first running back with the go ahead touchdown pass and
the final two minutes of regulation since two thousand. You
got to really go back, So we want to know
if you can guess, guys, who the running back was.
(38:07):
You know, it's a little mon on Monday morning trivia.
I got to get your brains work in. Anyone have
an idea.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
Get it running back?
Speaker 3 (38:13):
You're gonna give us a running back history trivia question.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
We've lost the one person on our.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Show who can like run it back running back history totally.
I have nothing manly promising.
Speaker 8 (38:25):
Okay, good guess early two thousand, same team is a clue,
Same team?
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Oh for the.
Speaker 14 (38:33):
Jets, for the Jets, Yeah, anyone their Jets?
Speaker 16 (38:38):
Okay, right man, that's running back in Hall of Famer
Curtis Martin.
Speaker 14 (38:49):
He pulled it off against the Bucks back in week
four of the two thousand season with Wayne Corbett. Fifty
two seconds were left on the clock, and you know what.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
If it's not broken, don't fix it. He's actually done
it twice, two career.
Speaker 14 (39:03):
Touchdown passes and they both went to Quebec on that one.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Well, how did you know.
