Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Good Morning Football, Everybody, it's a Monday, but we're having
an absolute blast because we're really getting into the weeds
of some of these off season topics. I'm Jamie art All,
there is Isaiah standback, Willie Cologne's hanging out with Kyle Brand.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Kyle.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
We always ask you, how are you doing with the Yes, Willie,
how is it sitting next to Kyle? Are you are
you kitching the vibes in the heat and sometimes the frustration.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
That he has on the show.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
Yeah, Kyle, we go way back, man. We mail like Peanut,
Butter and Jelly.
Speaker 6 (00:35):
That's how we go to right alland which comparisons.
Speaker 7 (00:39):
That's very colater for me.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
And it's only to get better because we're about to
talk about the Packers. We may rehash our ranking of
NFC quarterbacks, which has people drawing swords.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
We're gonna do it all this hour.
Speaker 7 (00:51):
It's New York, It's.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
La It's Good Morning Football, Peanut Butter and Jelly, let's go.
Speaker 8 (00:55):
And but of Jillsey, Good mon football.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
This is GMFB, Isaiah, Willie, Kyle, myself, I was off
last week. I was at the draft in green Bay
and then I had the week off Kyle.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
I saw Kyle and green Bay.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
He said, you have that vacation glow happening, and the
glow is actually I'm moving houses. It's a terrible time.
It wasn't actually time off. It was a lot of
hard work last week. But I caught the fact that
Willy was on last week on GMFB. And then you
guys just acknowledge it. You know each other from back
in the day. Please, if you could enlighten me on
the history lesson there Kyle.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Well Will, it's just been one of these guys like
we're roughly the same age, followed him as a player,
and then you've been doing media for a long time.
He used to kind of share an office when we
were at sn Y. You and I have worked together
on a bunch of different things before. I've always respected him.
He always has takes. He's got a Super Bowl ring.
He's unbelievable. Also, like off the air, like you should
hear this, what'stuff?
Speaker 7 (01:56):
Will?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
He says that I can't say on the air.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
He's got stories for days.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
When is the book coming out? You can have a memoir.
I do have a book coming out, right, I don't. Yeah,
I'll tell you when it comes out.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Okay, cool, So this guy's got stories and probably ten
years or something like that, it's.
Speaker 7 (02:09):
Just been fun.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Cool.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
That's that's about the start of GMFB, I believe is
ten years ago. And of course you all know that
whiteboards have become a very prominent character on Good Morning Football, Kyle,
we were going to talk about one team in the
NFC North, but I don't know if the Packers lights
anyone's fire the way that the three other teams.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Do in the division. So let's address the Packers.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
But then let's let's take a bigger picture. And I
am going to break the segment in the second part
of this. I want you guys to rank your NFC
North teams right now. So just think on that. Think
on that as we talk about the Packers. Yes, I was, yes, Kyle, Yes,
it's happening.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Despite winning eleven regular were going to rank the teams
on May fifth, according to what.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Day fifth on your board? How good they are right now?
I don't know their roster makeup right now.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yes, thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, the guys that they drafted, who liked your fire, Kyle,
who blows your hair back in the NFC North, and
then rank them accordingly. All right, so we're gonna first
going to talk about the Packers and then we'll look
at the whole division. Despite winning eleven regular season games
and making the playoffs last season, Matt Lafleur's Packers finished
third in the North and their quarterback Jordan Love, threw
three picks and the wild card loss to the Eagles.
(03:14):
Rough Lafloor enters your seven, Jordan Love entering year three
as a starter. Does this mean that it is demanded
that it is time now for Lafleur and Love to
make that quote unquote massive leaf, which is not losing
to the Cowboys early they beat the Cowboys, losing to
the Eagles early in the playoffs, Isaiah, and they're going
to make that big leap together, must say.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
I hope.
Speaker 9 (03:34):
So honestly, it's just I'm not convinced shit of Jordan Love.
I think that he's a good quarterback. I don't believe
that he's made the leap that everybody has expected him
to make.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Maybe that's because of those.
Speaker 9 (03:45):
Who've come before him, Maybe that's because of breat Far
maybe that's because of Aaron Rodgers and now is Jordan Love,
and it just hasn't been enough of a jump.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Now they're always in the conversation.
Speaker 9 (03:54):
You have to give them that respect to that combination
of Lafleur and Lovers there. But they have to get
some weapons around them. They have to keep him healthy,
they have to be consistent enough, and they need something
else to push him over the edge. I'm not sure
if it's going to be this year, but they've been
heading the right direction.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
Really, Yeah, I'm totally shocked by the answer. Jordan Love
has a vaulved I mean, go back to Week three
against the San Francisco forty nine ers when he dropped
four touchdowns on the Niners and by the way he finished,
this offense finished top five in the NFL. Lafour has
done a great job of involvement. Now the goal is
not to become stagnan. Last year they were able to
lead on the run game. Was Josh Jacobs in this
(04:32):
offensive line? Now the question for this Green Bay team
is the defense. Really with this fourth three scheme led
by Jeff Afflee, can he continue to get after the
quarterback and make plays in the back end? That has
to be the goal. I love kway Walker and what
he's able to do, but overall, Jordan Love has a ride.
The bottom line is when he gets to playoff time,
can he go to all the way? And Lafleour has
to continue to put more in the playbook where he
(04:55):
can expand and get to a position where he's now
considered one of the elite. I love everything about Jordan Love.
He has the weapons, he has the run game. He
has to win games. One of the game that broke
my heart last year with the loss to Detroit and
the Week sixteen lost against the Vikings. Those are games
they needed to win and they weren't able to do so.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
But overall, this team is my dark horse.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Like I be honest, I believe the division is extremely votable.
Why because Ben Johnson's gone, Aaron Glennon is New York.
You talk about the Minnesota Vikers, nobody knows what JJ
McCarthy is.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
You talk about the Chicago Bears. I love Caleb.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Williams and they yes, they have given him a new
offensive line, but overall they still have to figure out
who they are and what their identity is. There's one
team that knows who they are and has continued to
have successory after year, and that's the Green Bay Packers.
So when you tell me Jordan Love hasn't arrived, oh,
he has a rob he just has to go get
it like the other league quarterbacks in the league, what
do you think?
Speaker 7 (05:43):
What do you think Isaiah has he arrived?
Speaker 9 (05:45):
I just don't feel as if I'm not threatening by
Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
I respect him as a.
Speaker 9 (05:49):
Player, but when Jordan Love steps on the field, I'm
not concerned about what he's going to do to my team.
So that from that regard, I'm not saying nothing about
his stats. I'm not saying that he hasn't been consistent.
I just don't see him as a threat in terms
of that red dot guy that you have to serve.
But whenever you're watching film and he has a great
complimentary back in Josh Jacobs, and they're doing great things.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
But again, when he.
Speaker 9 (06:10):
Steps on the field, I'm not concerned about him making
the play that's going to break our back.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Is that not What people sometimes say about Dak Presnott
is that I'm asking, okay, okay, Willie, you got something
to tag on that.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
No, Kyle wanted to say something I just am reminded
of our old friend Jason mccordy used to always talk
about this one quarterback who I'm not going to mention
by nan, he's currently in the NFC.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
And Jason would say, that's a guy when that.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Week you're not really worried about him, Like he's fine,
he's a good player, he gets a job done, but
you're not like, oh, we got this guy this week,
like if you were facing Rogers or Brady or whoever
Jason was facing during his career. And that always stuck
with me because there is a specific species of quarterback
who you know, they got the numbers and they got
the career and the experience, but they're not really scaring anyone.
So what I'm hearing here in between the two of
(06:59):
you is that Love is good, Like is he a killer?
Is he the guy that if you are a defensive
back facing the Packers that week, you're saying, oh damn,
it's Jordan Love week?
Speaker 7 (07:09):
Or is he just a very nice player? Is that
where we're at?
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (07:11):
I think that's that's not fair because, like I said,
you we all talk about that playoff game in Dallas.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
You gotta stand Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
With eight and eight and no at home, I had
a twelve and five and nobody gave Green Bay a chance.
It was Jordan Love and Company that came in there
and won that game and dog walked the Cowboys back
back home, right, and then you talk about I remember
like they go back to the Thanksgiving game where they
had to go in Detroit a year ago and they
had to win that game open and drive. It was
Jordan Love to Christian Watkins bang split open the game
(07:39):
time after time. Jordan Love makes plays with his arm
and his feet, and he's durable. He's dealt with some
serious injuries and being able to stand up and play
week after week. So when we sit here talk about
him as like, oh, he's not scary, you know what.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Dad Prescott felt.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
The same way, and then he was eating Mike Wave
dinners at home while Jorda Love and Company continue to
walk on.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
So you know what, you don't have.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
To be afraid, but you need to be aware that
Jordan Love is him and he deserves his respect.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
The Microwave Dinner game has stiff stuff though in the
last ten years it really is that's not as much
not as much hungry man, so good Kyle, you said
two things last hour that lent me to instead wanting
to rank the NFC North, and it was the following
we ranked our top three NFC quarterbacks, and Kyle, you
put Jared Goff as your number one in the NFC
right now, So that really lends itself to your respects
(08:25):
and appreciation you have for maybe the division and what
GoF does for the Lions. You also said earlier in
the hour that you feel nothing about the twenty twenty
five Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
You just don't know yet. It's not good, it's not bad.
You feel nothing.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Rank your NFC North teams right now, and how good
you feel about their twenty twenty five Okay?
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Is that a good qualifier for you?
Speaker 10 (08:43):
Kyle?
Speaker 4 (08:43):
You got it.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
You feel warm fuzzies about the NFC North. Ranked the
teams accordingly, Isaiah, you are already done with your assign all.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Right, here we go.
Speaker 9 (08:52):
I'm gonna go with number four on my list. I'm
gonna go with the Chicago Bears and being they just
have the most to prove out of any team in
this particular division, and obviously they have a lot of
juice right now with Ben Johnson coming into a lot
of excitement, okay, but at the end of the day,
they still have to go out there and produce. So
that's why they're at the number four spot. At the
number three spot, I'm going with the Minnesota Vikings. Okay,
(09:13):
and the Minnesota Vikings obviously have changed quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
We know what they're capable of doing.
Speaker 9 (09:18):
Their defense is solid, their offense has been productive, but
they have.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
A new QB.
Speaker 9 (09:22):
So we have to wait and see, right, we have
to wait and see exactly what young JJ McCarthy's gonna do.
And then right here the Bears, I'm sorry, the Packers. Obviously,
we just finish talking about them. Jordan loves doing good things.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Lafleur.
Speaker 9 (09:32):
Those guys are always consistent, They're always in the fight.
You're always gonna find them in the playoffs. Are they
one of those sneaky teams that doesn't do anything necessarily flashy,
but they're always gonna be at the top of the league.
And then my very last one, obviously is gonna be
the Lions. Okay, There's been a lot of change in Detroit,
but you still got to go knock those guys off.
They have a culture, they have an identity, and they
have been consistent. Now can they do it again without
(09:55):
their offensive defensive coordinators being in the mix.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Come on, I'm trying my best with this. I'm horrible
with paper, can you see it.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
I'm gonna listen to number four. Like I stated J McCarthy,
I don't know who he is. There's a lot of
questions about his knee. There's still that still yet to
be proved. I think this defense has evolved, especially with
hard Graves and other additions, and I like Brian Lafleur
and how he gets after that.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Number three.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
I'm struggling with this paper. I've never seen a romance
struggle with race. The Bears man. I love Ben Johnson.
Hopefully he can really make Caleb Williams step up to
the next level. They have all the pieces defensively, they
have to leave be a lot more stout, but they
are a question in the works.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
I got the Lions man, Like.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
I said, it's stated, they have the pieces. They can
talk about Jared Goff, you talk about offensively, they're created,
they have the offensive line. Dan Campbell is going to
have to step up and figure out was the loss
of Ben Johnson that significant? Can they really step up
in a situation where they haven't taken a step backwards
where they can go forward.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
I love Jared Goff.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
The last two years, he just hasn't been able to
get them over the hump and land in the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
So that worris me. But number one, this is the
home RISS team in the division. That's the package. Go
back go.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
I love Jordan Love, I love Mike Lafleur, I love
this defense. I think right now it's just a matter
of time before they break open and land in the
NFC Championship and win the game.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Was there a toughest one you had, the one you
were really battling about.
Speaker 7 (11:10):
Put him in four or three? Like the one that
bothered you the most.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Probably line side the Lion. Yeah, probably as much.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
All right, Well it's may fifth, Synca de Mayo. So
when we're in the post one hundred humans versus fighting
a gorilla world, I'm ranking the NFC North teams according
to who would win in a fight.
Speaker 7 (11:28):
Jamie, So I have four.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
I have a packer that's a meat packer.
Speaker 7 (11:31):
He's not doing much.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
A Viking, although a skilled warrior with spears and all that.
Speaker 7 (11:35):
It's very heavy here.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
And then I looked on a website called animal hype
dot com and they say that the African lion would
beat a grizzly bear. So this is my personal ranking.
I even wrote the topic at the top there so
as it's not misconstrued. We haven't seen these teams play
a game in like three months. We'll see him in
another four months. So this is the important list. And
in the gorilla world, this is where I have the
NFC North.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
It's a beautiful homage to Mike Leitch Kyle. We appreciate
what you just did. Really, I just had to check
Wikipedia to make sure you didn't go to Utah State.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
What's up with you in the Packers?
Speaker 5 (12:04):
Man?
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Are you a Jordan Why are you looking? Jordan Love? Guy?
Speaker 11 (12:06):
What is this?
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Because the take don't lie and I see you guys
are on watching football and the man's just delivered this
delivered And so as we sit here we kind of say,
what you know? The Packers A mid I'm like, what
are you talking about? Like the last two years, I've
seen this team take the step after step. I've seen
Jordan Love play through injuries. I've seen Jordan Love pretty
(12:27):
much get canceled out before even stepped on the field
when Aaron Rodgers was at the Helm.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
So now I'm looking at Matt before.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
I'm looking at this defense that's gotten better with Joe
Xander kway Walker. I'm looking at this office line that's
pretty probably one of the biggest in the league, dominate
up front with the addition of Josh Jacobs who had
over a thousand yards. I'm looking at this offense right now.
Continue to average twenty six points a game, twenty to
twenty six eight points a game, twenty six to twenty
eight points a game, and yet we sit here.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Like the Packers are some average team. I don't know
what else you need to see.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
You needed them to beat the Detroit Lions they did.
You needed them to beat the surface to forty nine
as they did. You needed them to get it done
in Minnesota's when they lost to Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
I get that. Overall, Jordan Love and.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
Company has showed up week after week and they trust me.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
This is personal.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Why Because in twenty ten when they Stealers versus the
Green Bay Packers in Dallas, we lost to Aaron Rodgers
and the Green Bay package.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
So I'm not a cheesehead.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
I just really recognized real and real recognized game.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
And that's what my heart is at right now. I
don't know why y'all sit here and.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Continue to look at Jordan Love as he's not that
guy when you talk about elite quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
He has elite level tape.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
Turn it on and watch it before you make an
asinine comment as to where Jordan Love is and who
the green Bay Packers is.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Man, you put such weight on a quarterback, really that
I have to push back on you, though, because are
you telling me that you're gonna look at the entirety
of the roster of the Green Bay Packers and the
fact that the entire city of Green Bay just lost
their minds, their faces melted when Mark Murphy walked out
on the stage and drafted a wide receiver for the
first time in twenty five years. When you look across
(14:02):
the border at the Minnesota Wakings and the roster that
that team has between Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison and
the Brian Flores defense and the moves that they made,
and you're gonna put the Vikings last in that division?
And are you telling me it's all because that they
have a quarterback that you don't know anything about. Despite
the fact that he's a.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Six man on the bench.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
You just got to watch an entire NFL season and
he practically has his PhD now watching Sam Darnold unfold
and Kevin O'Connell work his.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Brilliance at the quarterback spot. How do you put the
vikings last?
Speaker 5 (14:30):
I put the vikings last because jaj McCarthy has a
big question mark over his head, and so does that Nee.
I understand what he was in Michigan, but there was
a legit conversation on bringing Aaron Rodgers in the building
because they didn't feel like if he was going to
be if he was going.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
To be ready for the season.
Speaker 5 (14:43):
This ota is in the spring for Jajon McCarty is everything,
because bottom line is, Aaron Rodgers hasn't signed.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Anybody has.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
He's still out there now he's saying, there's all average
point that he made land in Pittsburgh, but they're the
chance that he made land in Minnesota. That's still a
legit option. And that's solely because they don't know who
JJ McCarthy is. And they have this office a line,
they have this Brian Floyd's defense. They have pieces and
you talked about justin Jefferson I get that, and listen,
the reason green Bay drafted the receiver because Christal Watson's
(15:10):
coming off of ACL. They don't want to lose that firepower.
So I get that move. But overall, the Vikers are
going to be the Minnesota Vikers until we figure out
who JJ McCarthy is. I know who Jordan Love is.
I watched them the last two seasons. I watched them
going to Dallas once again and drop bombs all over
Dak Prescott on a twelve or five team a year ago.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Now, I get right now.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
They regressed a little bit, But overall, when you talk
about who's the frace of this franchise, that's Jordan Love.
And so I have no questions about who the Green
Bay Packers are. I have a lot of questions on
who the Minnesota Vikings are, solely because they don't have
a quarterback and we don't know anything about JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 7 (15:45):
Ray.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
My name is Willy Willy Bemon.
Speaker 9 (15:47):
I love the fact that you're standing ten toes down
for Jay Love and the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
The question that I have literally does down te no sock.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
I'd have a question for you that probably requires a
whole segment, but I just need to your quick answer.
Will it just just an instinctual question? Is Jordan Love
a top ten quarterback in the NFL?
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Yes, I'm gonna give it to him. I'm gonna say yes.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
The list, Yeah, this is a list.
Speaker 7 (16:16):
Don't do it. I'm not gonna do well. He's doing
so much heavy lifting this segment. I can't give.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
This guy a glass of water.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
He asked you because Kyle ranked the mascots instead of
anything else. Kyle, you broke a segment that I tried
to break.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
It's not fair.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
You can't do that.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
It's already done, I know. Bringing back. Yeah, all right,
we got.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
To talk about the harrbas on GMFP this hour. There
is no more interesting head coach.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
Are you gonna give it to Jim Harbaugh?
Speaker 3 (16:41):
I guess you would.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
We got to hear his aspiration for his quarterback Justin Herbert.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
Now is he a top ten quarterback?
Speaker 2 (16:47):
And you know that's the question, Isaiah, Kyle?
Speaker 11 (16:49):
What else?
Speaker 3 (16:50):
You?
Speaker 7 (16:51):
What else?
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Don't we have? We got it all?
Speaker 7 (16:54):
Who are at the top?
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Oh my god?
Speaker 9 (16:55):
Another listless Ta Coven and dual Thread quarterbacks?
Speaker 7 (17:01):
Do you want Michael Vick highlights? We have them all
you want Lamar highlights. Who else might make the top five?
Isaiah knows all about this.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Looks up to Steve Young.
Speaker 7 (17:10):
Top five running quarterbacks, stool threat. We're gonna get into
red after this, not go anywhere.
Speaker 11 (17:15):
Thank you, Good morning football.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
The Chargers are still in the basking and the Harball glow,
if you will, As is Justin Herbert, who had a
remarkable twenty twenty four regular season.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
He threw twenty three.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Touchdowns against just three picks. That's the highest TD to
interception ratio in a single season in Chargers franchise history.
His head coach, Jim Harbaugh, wants to get his quarterback
to an esteemed place in NFL.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
Lore.
Speaker 12 (17:48):
I just woke up the other day and said, got
to get Justin Herbert to the Hall of Fame. Must
get Justin Herbert to the Hall of Fame. You woke
up and said that, Yeah, Yeah, it's just one of
those things that you wake up and kind of like
three thirty four in the morning, and sometimes that's when
your best ideas come.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (18:05):
I know you kind of processed that and that that
would mean winning a couple of Super Bowls and uh,
and there'd be a lot of a lot of people
would benefit, you know from that. So that's that's a
worthy goal.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Hmm.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
That isn't a worthy goal, coach.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
And every player wants to hear their coach stated about them.
They want to wear the gold jacket. It all fits,
especially if you're a quarterback.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Isaiah. It's a heavy lift.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Though, considering how his time in LA has started, Justin Herbert,
what do you make of this sound from his head
coach having this aha moment at three o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Well, that's not where I get my best thoughts. I
can tell you that I'm not sleeping y.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
You're on the ara of five am here now.
Speaker 9 (18:40):
I'm usually sitting down for a long period of time.
My wife tries to get me out of room. But
on the Herbert is situation, that's very lofty goals for
a coach, and I think that he's putting a lot
on the shoulders of Justin Herbert.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
But I do think that they are assisting him right.
Speaker 9 (18:56):
They've spent a lot of time making sure that the
office of line is solid. Any great quarterback needs a
solid office of line so that they could sit back
there comfortably. And the next that you need as a
great quarterback as you need a solid run game. They
went out there and not only do they have Naji
Harris that they added, but they also went out and
drafted a Mario On Hampton.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
So anytime you can turn around to hand.
Speaker 9 (19:14):
The ball off and get some yards, anytime you can
sit back there comfortably and deliver the ball, you're going
to greatly increase your chances of being a great quarterback
and eventually hopefully becoming a Hall of Fame quarterback.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
But there's a lot of work to be done. Yeah,
I mean, I think you put it out there. It's lofty.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
You got things about the division, right Denver is a
better outfit right now. You know, Kansas City is the
Super Bowl champs performer. Now it's the Eagles. But overall,
when you talk about the San Diego charges, San Diego
excuse me, the LA Chargers and Justin Herbert, I mean
the bottom line is can he state health? You know
that's the biggest concern for me. Can can you keep
him on the field. You know he's a confident, he's able,
reliable quarterback, but can you keep him healthy?
Speaker 3 (19:51):
How does this office continue.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
To evolve with halberd Because for me, it's run first
then everything.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
So it's a matter of making him a game manager.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Is he willing to do that? As far as Hall
of Fame man, that comes with the resume. You gotta win,
You got to win big, You got to win a
crucial situations and put up big numbers.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
So can you do that?
Speaker 5 (20:09):
But right now he has to be able to just
win the division first, then we can talk about Hall
of Fame.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
I really admire the take from Harbaugh. It's just as
usual for him. It's original, it's a little out there,
but it actually comes back to really solid football and
justin Herbert has the talent, he has the coach, and
harborst saying, look, here's the deal. We're a handful of
years in with Herbert, We're going to get into the
Hall of Fame. It's very simple. You have to win
a Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
That's it.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
Just study the history of Hall of Fame quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
All of the ones in the modern era save a
couple exceptions, the Mannings Eli who will get in, and
Brady and Breeze and Rogers, like, there's really one exception
and it's Warren Moon. But his case is very unique
because he was winning championships in Canada, before he was
even playing in the NFL.
Speaker 7 (20:47):
You have to win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Justin Herbert, whenever he retires, is going to have big
numbers and big highlights. Is he going to win in
the playoffs? And again, winning in the playoffs is not enough.
And look at your own organization. Look at Philip Rivers.
Philip Rivers has massive stats. He has one playoff games.
I do not think he will be in the Hall
of Fame because he's never appeared in the Super Bowl.
With quarterbacks, it is not wide receiver, tight.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
Ender, pass rusher.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Show me your ring if you want to get into Canton.
So Harbaugh even said it in the clip himself. He's like,
he set a couple super bowls, one will do it.
That's where we're at. You have to win a super Bowl.
And listen, where are we at with Justin Herbert? So
Jamie mentioned he has this amazing prolific year in which
he doesn't throw interceptions. We show up in the playoffs,
we throw four interceptions in one game. That's where we're
(21:31):
at with Herbert right now. His reputation that he has
earned talented, good statistically everything, but we have not seen
it in January, let alone February. So what Arba's saying
is I want him to go to the promised lands
of football heaven and we got a ton of work
to do.
Speaker 7 (21:47):
And he's right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
But Harbaugh's reputation I want to look at that as well,
because Harbaugh won a national championship at Michigan running the football. First,
He's got JJ McCarthy, but that thing was run on
the ground all the way to a title. He comes
to LA and now he's got this incredible quarterback and
he's can compliment him all he wants and how gifted
he is and how he's such a great fit. Is
it the perfect fit though, for a Harball led team
(22:08):
who wants to run the ball. And the fact that
they drafted on Mario and Hampton Isaiah, I'll ask you
that is Herbert Hall of.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Fame aside in this future. Is he the best fit
for a Harball offense?
Speaker 7 (22:18):
I think so because I think Willie already hit it.
Speaker 9 (22:20):
He can talk about him being a game manager, and
that's been looked at with a negative connotation for a
long time in this league. But there are a lot
of quarterbacks who have had a lot of success being
quote unquote game managers. The reality is, if you have
a solid old line, and I stand on this all
the time, if you have some big boys upfront that
can hold the fort and allow you to have an
efficient passing game that doesn't even have to be dynamic,
(22:41):
but you can have a dynamic running game, and you
have a two headed monster. We've seen what Detroit has done, right.
We saw Hall official running game has increased the throwing
capability of a Jared Goff. They're doing the same thing
out here in La. They're going to turn around, hand
the ball off to Najie Harris. You're gonna come downhill.
He's going to hit you in the face. A Mario
on Hampton the same thing, come downhill, hit you in
the face. They want to beat you up physically. And
(23:04):
then and they have done that, and you have walked
all the way down to the line of scrimmage to
trying to put seven to eight guys in the box.
Then they'll start sitting back there and let Herbert use
his strong arm and throw himself into a victory.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
All right, let's sake, give him La to Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
The Harbaugh's are talking because the Ravens added more talent
to their secondary head coach John Harbaugh was asked what
he wants first round pick safety Malachi Starks out of
Georgia to learn from his two time Pro Bowl safety
Kyle Hamilton.
Speaker 13 (23:28):
I hope he learns how to be like an all pro.
I mean, that's kind of what you hope. I mean,
you hope for the best and plan for the best too,
I guess. I mean I expect him to do really well.
You know, he's our first round pick. A lot is
a lot to who much is given, much as much
as required, and nobody understands it better than him as a
young guy. Really impressed with his maturity. He broke the
huddle today. That's not an easy thing to do.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Your first time.
Speaker 13 (23:48):
So so far, so good.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Okay, So you watch.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
That video of Starts being drafted, and momentarily after he's
standing there with the commissioner, I come out of the
tunnel and I get to interview Malachi right after he
gets rived by the Ravens. I didn't say a lot
to the picks after the interview was done, but I
did say to Malachi because he was on the show
the day before, and I said, I can't wait to
see you play with Kyle Hamilton. It just came out
of my mouth. It was like, I was such a
thrill for the Ravens and this improvement that they're going
(24:11):
to have, specifically because Kyle Hamilton had to switch positions
last year. It was crazy what the Ravens had to
do on defense. It was another disappointing year, though for
how Baltimore finished. It was a heartbreaking loss to the Bills.
Can the Ravens put this all behind them With the
addition of Malachi Starks Isaiah, can he really make a
difference for a defense that allowed the second most past
yards last year?
Speaker 3 (24:29):
I think so.
Speaker 9 (24:29):
I think you talk about the versatility of a Hamilton
right and how he was utilized not only at the
safety position, but he went out there and started playing
some slot for them as well, some nickel. Now you
have two guys who have that versatility, you have two
guys that could be head hunters in the back. I mean,
we've seen this before. We've seen this in Baltimore and
they've had two headed monster at the safety position. And
the freedom that they gives you. These guys both rangey,
(24:51):
these guys can both come down and cover your receivers.
There's not going to be a tight end that can
run by either one of them, and if you come
across the middle, they're going to hit you in the
mouth and make you pay for it.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
That's exactly what you want.
Speaker 9 (25:00):
You want receivers with their heads on the swivel, not
paying attention to timing, and these guys being able to
go out there be ballhawks.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
And coverage defenders.
Speaker 5 (25:08):
Yeah, I have some experiences considering now. I played a
good portion of my career against Baltimore Ravens. The one
thing they do really well is get after the quarterback.
What allow them to get after the quarterback is their.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
Efficiency in the back end.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
Now, hopefully these two can be attandem for the future,
but overall, Baltimore has to get back to playing bully
ball right, and that's owning the trenches, getting after the
quarterback and established stings a type of identity that puts.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Fear in their opponents.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
Now, I've watched this team playing big games and for
some reason, in the second half of games, they lose
their identity on both sides of the ball.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
And so when you talk.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
About the Baltimore Ravens, I'm not worried about this back
as much as I'm worried about these edge pressures on
how they got to get after the quarterback and how
Lamar Jackson year after year we expect one thing, and
then when the time when it's time to put the
foot on the pedal and go get it, we can't
find them on tape. So it's more of an identity
issue with me on both sides of the ball. But yeah,
it's a great pick for this defense, Baverroll. They got
(25:59):
to get back to playing bully ball.
Speaker 10 (26:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Look, it's another good Ravens defensive player. They've had many,
they will continue to have more. The Ravens are just
this team where I look at them going into twenty
twenty five and I'd say, just get me to the playoffs.
Fast forward the season. I know you're gonna be good.
I know you're gonna win a bunch of games. You're
gonna have a bunch of highlights. Just fast forward to
the playoffs. It's they feel to me like the Cowboys
used to feel, where it's just it's you know they're
gonna get there. You know they're gonna win double digit games.
(26:22):
It's just about that one or maybe two games in January,
where does Lamar play his best game will he was
just talking about. I don't think Lamar chokes in the playoffs.
I don't think he falls on his face. I think
he doesn't show up with his a game. I think
he plays fine. He doesn't blow people away like he
does in the regular season. He doesn't play his best
in the playoff games. And if that's a reason to
(26:43):
draw swords for Ravens fans, then you're not watching as
closely as you should be.
Speaker 7 (26:46):
He didn't play his best game, and by the way,
he needed the defense against Buffalo.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
They show up, they sacked Josh Allen one time, they
had no takeaways.
Speaker 7 (26:53):
It's like it just goes away.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
So mal guy starts, great looking player, he feels like
a Raven.
Speaker 7 (26:58):
I've seen him before, We'll see him again.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
They're the fast forward team to me, and I mean
that with due respect. They're such an institution and so
solid that even in that division, I know they're going
to be there in the end. But you just have
to tell me the story ends differently this time, and
it'll be way more interesting.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
They suffer from the same fate and at least in
the AFC that the Chargers do in their division, which
is just there might be one other team in your
conference that is better than you, and that is why
we put disappointment at the bottom of the screen for
every other team except for the Chiefs last couple of
years making it to a Super Bowl. Back on GMFB,
the Miami Dolphins and cornerback Jalen Ramsey have agreed to
try and find a trade partner, and the LA Rams
(27:35):
seem like a logical destination. Ramsey spent four seasons here
in LA with Sean McVay, and the Rams head coach
says they've definitely explored the possibility of bringing Ramsey back
to the Rams.
Speaker 10 (27:45):
He is a total stud and you look at it. Obviously,
he's continued to play at a really high level. He
and I have kept in great touch even since, you know,
we ended up trading him to Miami. Special competitor, great person,
great father, And so there are a lot of layers
when you're talking about a player of his caliber, right
you know, with regards to the contract to compensation that
(28:06):
they would be looking for in exchange for receiving a
player of his magnitude. And so those conversations are ongoing,
as I'm sure they are with multiple teams and we'll see,
but we're we're never going to shy away from opportunities
to increase the competitiveness of our roster add great players
as long as it fits within the framework of everything
that an acquisition like that would entail. But not too
(28:28):
many updates. But he's a total stud and he knows
how I feel about him, and you know, we'll see
what happens there.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Adam Sean had a lot of great quotes out of
McVeigh during that conversation. This past weekend, the Panther celebrated
their seventh annual Keeps Pounding Day and organization wide day
of service to support communities across the Carolina's More than
one hundred and fifty players, coaches, legends, and staff took
part in service projects across North and South Carolina, one
of them being helping out Habitat for Humanity to build
(28:57):
a new home in West Charlotte.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
Seventh annual. It's pretty cool coming up on our show,
Jalen Milroe.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
He's a dual threat quarterback, but how does he compare
to all time dual threat quarterbacks in the NFL?
Speaker 4 (29:09):
He is new to the league. He is a rookie.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
We know some guys that are on the list dual
threat quarterbacks. Isaiah Sandback is going to rank them top
five and then Jalen understands this is the task at hands.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Next on JMFP.
Speaker 9 (29:32):
Good Moll being a former dual threat quarterback and now
talking about Jalen Milroe being a dual threat quarterback, it
has me thinking who are my favorite dual threat qbs
of all time? So let's go ahead and get into
this thing. We got a top five, right, Number five
is gonna be the man that I used to watch
all the time holding it down in Philadelphier, and that
(29:53):
is gonna be Donovan mick Nash. Let's take a look, nice, awesome,
you guys see the man right that he is a
mountain of a man.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
He's sit back there.
Speaker 9 (30:01):
You didn't think that somebody of his stature can be
able to moved like he did. He was for me,
the first big quarterback that usually just shook off defensive lineman,
shook off linebackers. He would cross the line of scrimmage
and guys with second guests whether or not they wanted
to come up and meet him when most other quarterbacks
they would take head on. He had a cannon of
an arm and he was a complete threat whenever he
(30:23):
had the ball in his hands. Loved me some Donovan McNabb.
Now for my number four, I want to go ahead
and take a look at this dude. His dude has
one of the most famous plays that took place on
a Monday night in Philly versus the Giants.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Let's take a look.
Speaker 14 (30:39):
What am out of gentleman Joel right there, Jimmy Giles,
the receiver. Cunningham by all right, hit by Carl Bank,
Cann'd have been down, maintained as battles. We talked about
his athleticism. Penny fires in the corner, beautifully executed, rollout
ladies and gentlemen. Randall Cunningham is a ready for prime
time player.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
This guy was ahead of his time.
Speaker 9 (31:01):
He was the man that stood at six four or
two hundred and twenty pounds.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
We was athletic out of this world. Okay, shaking off guys.
Had eyes in the back of his helmet. That might
have been where it came from. First person.
Speaker 9 (31:13):
That's hurtling over people. You got to see it right there.
He was the pinnacle of athleticism at that position when
it wasn't highly accepted. He made it possible for guys
like me and others to make that position acceptable, to
have those abilities, and he utilized them to make Philadelphia
one of the most successful franchises to date.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
All right, number three.
Speaker 9 (31:32):
Okay, we gotta go with the big fellow who just
happened to call himself Superman. All right, and that is
gonna be mister cam Newton. Yes, you guys see it
right there. Cam Newton is not of this world. He
wasn't born, He was created.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
In a lab. This dude is huge. He was fast.
Speaker 9 (31:49):
This dude had a cannon of his arm, and he
was one of the first quarterbacks that we saw with
those abilities who had swagged.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Right.
Speaker 9 (31:56):
He still has swag to this day when you gotta
see him on TV. He was a nuisance for guys
and you had to make business decisions with him as
a defensive court. That's why Cam Newton makes my top
three at the QB position for dual threat. Now, this
is when it starts getting dicey.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Who do you put a number two? Who do you
put at number one?
Speaker 9 (32:15):
Let's go ahead and start with the man that has
one of the nastiest spin moves you've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Let's take a Look at Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 7 (32:22):
It's a second down and three.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Jackson takes it himself. Look at him dart back and forth. Oh,
it broke his heckles.
Speaker 6 (32:29):
Now he's gotten on turage and he's got a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
He is who dny we want to play?
Speaker 6 (32:37):
Forty seven yard touchdown run by the magical quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
What a great run.
Speaker 11 (32:45):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (32:46):
Lamar Jackson is one of the most feared offensive threats
in this league. His dude runs a four to three
at any given point in time. He is the fastest
man on the field and he just happens to be
the guy who touches the ball every single play. So
when you run a four to three when you are
as a loose best he is when you have a
strong arm, when you have the ability to throw on
(33:07):
the run, you are gonna be at the top of
the list in terms of dual threat quarterbacks because you
are that dude.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Two time MVP.
Speaker 9 (33:15):
I believe he should have been a three time MVP,
but he'll go out there and have another opportunity to
do so because he is just getting started in his career.
That's why he's number two for me for dual thread quarterbacks. Now,
you guys know, there's no way in this world that
I'm gonna leave the only quarterback who had his own shoe,
and he held it down not only in at Alien,
(33:35):
but he held it down in Philadelphia. Mister Michael vick Vic,
I'm second at.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
Eight off to play fake has some running room inside
the thirty, inside the twenty.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Vic, you're going to the episode.
Speaker 6 (33:50):
Falcons win in overtime out forty six yard touchdown run
and second touchdown run of the game, scoring for twenty
eight earlier. And he finishes with one hundred and seventy
three yards run.
Speaker 15 (34:04):
Amazing run and fitting that the Falcons should end the
game this way, the almost inhuman speed and the Falcons
keep their hot streak alive their eighth game without a defeat.
Speaker 9 (34:17):
You know you are that dude when years and pon
years after you retire, people still are buying your jerseys
for the Atlanta Falcons. That is Mike vic He is
what I call make nasty. His balance, his speed, his
arm talent. This dude was an absolute problem for anybody
that tried to face him. He single handedly would make
(34:39):
you change your defense. Matter of fact, I believe he's
probably the first quarterback that defensive coordinators had to have
a spy for and they took one of their most
athletic players and try to shut him down. But guess what,
nine out of ten times it didn't work. Okay, So
Mike Vic number one on my list for dual thread quarterback.
He is the guy who made me want to play
the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
That is my top five. What do you guys think
about it?
Speaker 1 (35:01):
How you go?
Speaker 7 (35:02):
I think? I love it?
Speaker 1 (35:03):
This is the best segment. I wish it was your
top fifty and we could just keep going. Vic unbelievable.
I will say I have a soft spot for Randall
Cunningham and that play that you showed where he got
his hand plant and then throws in the back of
the end zone and Carl Banks dives.
Speaker 7 (35:18):
At his knee is just so amazing.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Incidentally, Abduall Carter saw that play and wants Carl Banks
number fifty eight. I have to wear that couff, but
he can't do it. I'm sorry, but what an incredible
list Isay?
Speaker 3 (35:28):
I love it?
Speaker 7 (35:28):
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Well?
Speaker 5 (35:29):
Yeah, I love I love the list man, especially I'm
glad you shout it out.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Donovan McNabb. We forget.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
We forget there's so many mobile quarterbacks in the game
continues to evolve in these quarterbacks continue to get bigger
and faster, stronger. We forget Deeve McNabb was one of
the Husky quarterbacks that could move.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Yeah, he rocked the belly in.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
He had to get the massive pots, but he can
get to the second level and hit you with a
shimmy and a shake. So shout out to Dee mcnagg man.
I was happy that you picked him.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
I like that your number three, Cam Newton was not born.
He was created to play that position. It was a
perfect definition of him. I got it.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
I got the list here the five, four, three two one?
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Who'd you leave off? Who was your number six? Who
was your hanging chat?
Speaker 9 (36:04):
If you there are some guys who definitely honorable mentioned,
all right for me. Steve McNair was honorable mentioned for me,
Cordell Stewart was honorable.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Mentioned, and then Vince Young. Vince Brill had.
Speaker 9 (36:14):
Short and short career obviously in the in the league,
but he's definitely was one of the most feared to
dual threat quarterbacks of all time.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
All right, So Lamar, the only current player, Kyle Willy
anyone currently that you feel like deser could maybe not
break a top five all time.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
But who's a good dual threat guy that you like
right now?
Speaker 5 (36:30):
I mean, I don't know how we can't shout out
Josh Allen. He's I mean, what he's been able to
do with his arm and his feet. I mean, this
guy ice his games with his legs, bottom line. And
he not only is a big quarterback, he's also a
quarterback that lets you know he's a big quarterback. I
love his mox and his confidence, and he's an MVP,
so you gotta to give him in that regard.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
Personally, I've always got a lot of entertainment out of
Daniel Jones as a runner, but that's a different kind
of runner. He writes the ship in Indianapolis this year,
we're rooting for you.
Speaker 7 (36:56):
DJ all right.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
I do anybody else?
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Oh yeah? In terms of guys right now, I'm with
you on board.
Speaker 9 (37:02):
In terms of Josh Allen, Josh Allen is the guy
that I think that team's fear. When I talk about
dual threat quarterbacks, that's somebody that you have to highlight.
But the other guy that's playing today that doesn't get
a lot of notoriety because he's hiding out down in
Arizona is Kyler Murray, and you can't forget about the
little guy. He's probably the next to Lamar Jackson. He's
probably the most feared guy at that position with the
ability to cross the line of scrimmage because he could
just make you go uh oh.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
I was just informed that editorially tomorrow on the show,
we apparently are doing a list of top five runs
by quarterbacks who don't run.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
That's a real thing that we're doing.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
So Kyle, get your Dan, get your Daniel Jones takes ready,
all right, get all your example set, and we're going to.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Do that on GMFB.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
But while until then, that is Isaiah Stanback's top five
dual threat quarterbacks of all time. All right, we found
out a lot of answers on the show.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
On a Monday on GMFB.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
We had top five NFC quarterbacks, We ranked the NFC North,
We did top.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
All time dual threat quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
We still don't know one thing though, which is what
number is Abdul Carter wearing for the New York Giants.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
What's happening.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
It's not fifty six, it's not eleven. He's asked the permission, and.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
We asked the people. Is it in.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Honor of more disrespectful to ask for a retired number
within an organization? I am being told three thousand people
have voted, so you're looking at seventy five percent of
the people.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Think absolutely not. Don't do it.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Don't even pick up the phone. Isaiah, it is disrespectful.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (38:18):
I can see how it can be taken as disrespect
because those guys have worked their entire careers to earn
that ability to not have anybody touch their numbers.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
But I think it might be a tip of the
hat as well. So I don't know.
Speaker 9 (38:27):
I'm kind of fifty fifty, but I don't have to
go all to ask.
Speaker 7 (38:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Good point. Yeah, I agree with Isaiah.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
Like, listen, I'm a fan of You should start like this,
earn it, then consult about it.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
But if you didn't earn it, don't ask about it.
Bottom lap.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
I think we retire too many numbers. I think we're
the bubble is going to burst at some point. Guys,
if we do this NFL thing twenty five years down
the line, how the hell are we going to be
able to field the team with half the numbers are retired.
I think it only has to be for the super
super sacred ones, which Lawrence Taylor is that.
Speaker 7 (38:55):
But honor them, put them in the ring, bring them back.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
Like we got to stop retiring so many numbers to
say you can't wear this anymore.
Speaker 7 (39:02):
We got zero through ninety nine. That's all we have.
And so that's where I'm at. We're just doing it
too much.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
One thing that we one hundred percent know is disrespectful, though,
is Another thing that we found out about our co
host today is that Willy Cologne did not wear socks
when he played football, and he still carries this through
to this state. He doesn't wear socks, and Willy, someone
very close and personal in your life, actually put something
out on social media for you to read, so to
walk us through what's going on here.
Speaker 7 (39:26):
Read this, Wily, Oh love this.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
This is my beautiful wife. This is I do not
get over it quickly. I actually just threw a pair
of his gym shoes out the door in the pool
the other day. That is my beautiful wife, Akesha Cologne, Yes, babe,
I love you too. And the worst hashtag the worst yes, yes,
So it comes with marriage, right, you take the good
the bad and ugly.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
My feet have to be you know, they have to
be bad and ugly.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Probably the good is that you have to throw those
shoes into your pool that you have, So.
Speaker 7 (39:56):
That's very very nice.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
I'm glad that the colonnes are set up now you
can put up with those shoes.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
That's probably a beautiful pool, right, It's just nice. It
it was this, It was a beautiful.
Speaker 11 (40:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (40:06):
Yeah, it's contaminating the way I read.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
That was yet she had to throw it into a
vat of chemicals in order to clean the shoes.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
Like that's all that took.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
Man, I nothing has hit hashtag the worst better. That
should be the new standard in terms of hashtag the worst.
And shout out to your beautiful bride for giving the
feedback to GMFB Akeisha, we see you. We can't believe
the audacity of this man, but we will still invite
it back as long as he only gets to sit
next to Kyle Brand because I'm not sure we're going
to hang.
Speaker 9 (40:34):
With that in La will the barefoot Baby, the barefoot Baby.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
But now, Willie, it is awesome having you here. We
mentioned knowing you a long time. Jamie and Isaiah get
to know you. The audience should get to know them
because Willie is the best and I hope you had a
good time.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
Thank you, man. Can't wait to be back mom.
Speaker 4 (40:50):
Man CMFB on a Monday.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
It is.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
It is, and don't worry, We're not going to rank
as many things tomorrow, except for like maybe our favorite
episodes of the show, favorite Tuesdays of all time.
