Well, this is all guys from the same draft class.
We've got Sam and Josh and Baker and Lamar. But
I just got to say, wherever you are, you're probably
closing some business deal right now. Josh Rosen, I stand
for you too, my man. I was a big fan
of yours. I feel like you should be part of
the segment.

I'm sure Manti loves you. We will do this segment
and nine our of you buddies.

got a toime to get to today. Manta, you got
a top five lists coming again today.

I love list guys. This JMB is another.

List the list Monday. Last week, we had a very
long conversation about the half a dozen quarterbacks that were
drafted in last year's class twenty twenty four. That is
child's play. At this point, we're talking about this draft class.
Remind the people again, Kyle, the year is twenty nineteen eighteen,
exactly the twenty eighteen NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
All right, So this was the draft.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It was in Jerry world, it was in Texas, and
for so many, for a very very long time, everybody
thought that Sam Donald's gonna be number one pick, and
the Browns had the pick, and they were at his
workout in USC and mister Haslam was in the stands
with the Donald family and it was done. And then
this guy just came running and Baker Mayfield shocked everybody.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Going number one. Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Then you had Josh sh Allon coming out of Wyoming.
Nobody knew the Bills took him. Josh Rosen did go
we're not even mentioning him. And then Lamar Jackson, who
actually was the Ravens' second pick in this draft.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
They went up. They got him.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
It was Assi Newsom's last pick as the Ravens GM
and the Lamar has become Lamar. So it gets compared
to the nineteen eighty three class, which is the Gotus class,
and so we're gonna have a segment with them. But again,
Josh Rosen, I loved you. It was said you were
the most pro ready of all the quarterbacks the Cardinals drafted,
and then the very next year they drafted Kyler Murray.
So I love these guys and miss Josh Rosen.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Let's play a game, all right, Let's do it. Move
the six is what we're gonna call it, Kyle just
it was perfect. The twenty eighteen Animal Draft class, they
were in attendance. A bunch of these guys were at
the American Century Championship over the weekend. There is one
of the picks. Yeah, with the big group, that's that's Darnold,
Josh Allen and Baker in the middle there along with
the guys. Of course, I think they're carrying the bag

if you will. Lamar Jackson, I don't think he's a
big golf guy, so he wasn't there over the weekend,
but we're gonna put him on his popsicle stick and
give him his right. Has he earned the ability to
be a part of this prolific segment that we have
in front of us? All right? So the twenty eighteen
class quarterbacks, we're looking at you first topic, which quarterbacks
training camp? Of these four are you most intrigued by

Mantai take your pick, put up your popsicles, yes, sham
by it.

So if I'm looking at my picks, three out of
the four already.

Established at their teams. Three out of the four.

And if anybody don't know about training camp, if you're
establishing you're a veteran, most likely you're not going to
practice all that much. You're going to have veteran days.
And this guy that I'm going to pick is Sam Donald. Now,
Sam Donald, he is going to have some veteran dager
just based on what they paid him. But there's a
lot of questions as to how they're going to utilize them.
We got Clint Kubiak over there, who was offensive coordinator
for the Saints last year, And what does Clint Kubiak
(03:51):
want to do? He wants to run the ball, So
how does that fit with Sam Donald. Sam Darnald now
has new Targets and Jackson Smith and Jigbaw and Cooper
Cup How is that going to factor into his success
this year? We saw what a year he could have
last year, but that year was with.

The Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
It was with Justin Jefferson, it was with Kevin O'Connell.
Now the biggest question is what is it going to
look like with new threads And so if I'm going
to watch any quarterback out of those four, Kyle, It's
going to be mister Sam Darnold.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, it's probably the right answer.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
You know, none of the rest of these guys are
having new teams or new coaches.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
They're not coming off injuries.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I just you know, it's between these two guys, and
just for the sake of it, I'll go with this.
Josh gets the same questions every camp, how we look
in this receiver's not here?
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Can you beat the Chiefs? On and on and on.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
He always comes up with new, inventive ways to answer them.
He's got this thing where they go out to training
camp and he always plays the final scrimmage in this
red helmet in its legendary and they're trying to say,
will the Red Helmets make a debut for the Bills
this year in a real game. Josh Allen's just running
it back again. Every year they lose to the Chiefs,
it feels like, and then every year I have to
show up in the camp and explain why they won't
this year. So he's the raining MVP guy. He had

the bet with the amazing season, he did all the highlights.

He's always a show. He looked great in Short's not
gonna go with Josh Allen.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'm gonna go with Baker Mayfield for this one. I
feel like the Tristan worst thing. The injury is really legitimate,
I think for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But moreover, I
feel like we people are wholly unfair to the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers at time. We are constantly trying to justify
some other reason a different team in this division should
beat the Buccaneers. And they've proved to us for the

last couple of seasons, and specifically with Baker Mayfield with
his contract in hand, why that they don't deserve to
be atop this division. Yet they have proved people wrong
here and in you're out. So Baker Mayfield, who's constantly
wearing the contrarian hat who is justifying himself on his
fourth team and finally got that big deal, and his
personality and the best way possible has truly come out

in this juncture in his career. But I'm watching him
to see what kind of season? What kind of tone
can you say with this bucckeers, Can you just matter
of fact? They take this division from the jump and
put away all these falcon supporters and all the Panthers
could be the Cinderella team because Baker Mayfield could stand
up with on his popsicle stick here and put the
entire division on his shoulders and say, nah, not this year.

It's gonna be the Bucks again. All right, topic too,
if you had to pick one of these quarterbacks to
beat the Chiefs, too bad, we don't have a fifth
popsicle stick for Joe Burrow Mantai. Who would you pick
if you could pick one of these guys from the
twenty eighteen classes.

Well, Josh, Josh. He's really good at beating Patrick during
the season. It's the question is in the playoffs and
you got Lamar, who's you know, same kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Now, there's one quarterback that last year.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
His name is Baker Mayfield that took the Kansas City
Chiefs to overtime. And now people may be thinking, oh, well,
what's the big deal, Well, he didn't have Mike Everett
Evans and Chris Godwin. So you're talking about a quarterback
who lined up against the Super Bowl champs about to
play in the Super Bowl that year as well, with
not his number one and not his number two wide

receiver in the game, and he did it, and he
took him to the to overtime earlier in this season.
It's just somebody who I see in Baker Mayfield. He's
always competitive, he's always going to will his team to win,
and he's always going to compete. So if I had
to pick anybody guys.

It would have to be Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I mean, I'll go with Josh Allen just because you
mentioned it, man Ty like he's beaten the Chiefs multiple times.
Granted it's always in the regular season, and sure enough,
Week nine at Buffalo.

The Chiefs are going to go to the Bills. I
think even Chiefs fans at this point know they're going
to lose that game. That's just kind of what happens.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
They lose in the regular season and they never lose
in the playoffs. You got to just think at some point,
nobody ever thought Peyton was going to beat Brady. It'll
never happen. It did happen. It happened in two thousand
and six. He got him Indianapolis. Brady throws a pick
to Marlon Jackson at the end of the game. At
some point probably maybe it'll happen, but the fact that

he has done it multiple times, I mean, I can't
pick the rest of these guys.

Is even Lamar. I would go with Josh Allen just because.

It maybe regular season a postseason can happen eventually.

See, I am going to pick somebody who I think,
Kyle you just said it was in the other part
of your hand of your collection here. I think in
order to be Patrick Mahomes, if you're in the AFC,
you're Lamar or Josh even Joe Burrow, Like this has
become a highly emotional matchup, like it's hard to take
him down. You got to be hardened sometime in the
best way possible. You got to be like the entire
world was down and out against me. Several franchises over

and Sam Donald finally figured his business out in Minnesota,
last year. I'm not saying this Seahawks team is the
one that could do it, but quarterback to quarterback. For
some reason, I feel like Donald could mess around and
be like I've seen worse. I've seen like the bottomless
pit that is the machine of NFL critiques and critics,
and I think Donald could do it if anybody. I
don't know why.

It's said, Jamie, so you're talking about your referms, but.

I Am just going to get the job done and
be all business. I feel like Darnald Puss that in

That's perfect, okay. Based off of Superman, pick one of
these quarterbacks and which one would you trust to save
you man Piperhaps out of a burning building, or you
just find yourself in a bit of a pickle, you
got to rely on one of these guys.

Well, well, Jamie, if you're talking about a hero, somebody
that's going to save you, they have to have more
regard for your welfare than their own. And the only
guy that I could think about of these four is
mister Baker Mayfield. If you're running over a future Hall
of Fame linebackers in the game, if you're blocking fifty
yards down the field for your running back, if you're
doing all of those things, donating to hurricane. Really, he

is somebody who really cares about other people than himself.
You can tell by the way that he plays this
game how he really. Matter of fact, I think you
heard his shoulder one time, and you're still throwing blocks
out there for his teammate. So this is somebody who
I trust will go out there and try to save me.
Now will he save me? I'm not sure. I'm not sure,
but I know you'll try.

It's this guy, I mean, this is I want these superpowers,
this is the Kryptonian power. If I'm tied to like

share your golf cart with for a round of golf?

I love watching golf, but as far as playing golf,
I'm not that big in the sport. But three out
of the four went to the Century Tournament and one
of them didn't. And I actually saw this guy swing
a bunch of clubs in twenty twenty two, and he
seems like Mike Knt.

Of flavor, that we're just going there to have fun.

a golfing trip, I would love Lamar with me, because
he's not going to take it serious and he's just

don't want to be in the cart with him. Way

that kind of attention. I thought about this just a
little soft spoken and really really nice guy. He'd probably
be fun to drive around with. But again, I'm with Mantai.

I don't golf. I'm terrible, And there's nothing better than
when you're pulled out to a bachelor party or something
when you find someone else who might suck at golf
and you're like, hey, are you bad too? Do you
want to just get really messed up for the whole time?

Likely it'll be like the Zenmobile or whatever the hell
you want to do, and it's eighteen holes in you're
doing a whole bunch of gatorad and Tito's and like

it's my thing, and I'd be happy to do it

golf is just shocking to me. Still, It's just I

one of him getting in or out of the cart,

strange golf catalog photo shoot for a man that doesn't

part of your closet portfolio there for a while.

draft in Nashville. The year prior, the Arizona Cardinals took
Josh Rosen in the first round. The build around him
to make him their future. Okay, one year in they
fired their head coach, Steve Wilks.

One and done.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
And now they were immediately getting rid of Josh Rosen
because Cliff Kingsbury was the head coach and he always
wanted to hoach coach Kyler Murray.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
And they had the number one pick.

Josh Rosen beat Aaron Rodgers in lambeau Field during his
rookie year.

It actually happened, you can look it up.

And he got so dissed and so discarded and he
was just tossed. And so I was like, there was
this crazy dynamic in the Nashville twenty nineteen draft where
Josh Rosen the first overall pick. Imagine this past year,
not first overall pick, but the Cardinals. Imagine this past
year if like the Bears were drafting a quarterback like
they had taken Caleb the year before, and they were

just going to draft a new guy they were already done.
It was so strange, and I felt Josh Rosen was
just like held captive.

So I wore that all over the draft that year.

And then he bounced around and I've heard as like
a business school graduate and very successful. So I hope
Josh Rosen makes more money than all these guys.

long conversation about the half a dozen quarterbacks that were
drafted in last year's class twenty twenty four. That is
child's play. At this point, we're talking about this draft class.
Remind the people again, Kyle, the year is twenty nineteen eighteen,
exactly the twenty eighteen NFL.

All right, So this was the draft.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It was in Jerry world, it was in Texas, and
for so many, for a very very long time, everybody
thought that Sam Donald's gonna be number one pick, and
the Browns had the pick, and they were at his
workout in USC and mister Haslam was in the stands
with the Donald family and it was done. And then
this guy just came running and Baker Mayfield shocked everybody.

Going number one. Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Then you had Josh sh Allon coming out of Wyoming.
Nobody knew the Bills took him. Josh Rosen did go
we're not even mentioning him. And then Lamar Jackson, who
actually was the Ravens' second pick in this draft.

They went up. They got him.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
It was Assi Newsom's last pick as the Ravens GM
and the Lamar has become Lamar. So it gets compared
to the nineteen eighty three class, which is the Gotus class,
and so we're gonna have a segment with them. But again,
Josh Rosen, I loved you. It was said you were
the most pro ready of all the quarterbacks the Cardinals drafted,
and then the very next year they drafted Kyler Murray.
So I love these guys and miss Josh Rosen.

the six is what we're gonna call it, Kyle just
it was perfect. The twenty eighteen Animal Draft class, they
were in attendance. A bunch of these guys were at
the American Century Championship over the weekend. There is one

class quarterbacks, we're looking at you first topic, which quarterbacks
training camp? Of these four are you most intrigued by

establishing you're a veteran, most likely you're not going to
practice all that much. You're going to have veteran days.
And this guy that I'm going to pick is Sam Donald. Now,
Sam Donald, he is going to have some veteran dager
just based on what they paid him. But there's a
lot of questions as to how they're going to utilize them.
We got Clint Kubiak over there, who was offensive coordinator
for the Saints last year, And what does Clint Kubiak

want to do? He wants to run the ball, So
how does that fit with Sam Donald. Sam Darnald now
has new Targets and Jackson Smith and Jigbaw and Cooper
Cup How is that going to factor into his success
this year? We saw what a year he could have
last year, but that year was with.

It was with Justin Jefferson, it was with Kevin O'Connell.
Now the biggest question is what is it going to
look like with new threads And so if I'm going
to watch any quarterback out of those four, Kyle, It's

You know, none of the rest of these guys are
having new teams or new coaches.

in this receiver's not here?

He always comes up with new, inventive ways to answer them.
He's got this thing where they go out to training
camp and he always plays the final scrimmage in this
red helmet in its legendary and they're trying to say,
will the Red Helmets make a debut for the Bills
this year in a real game. Josh Allen's just running
it back again. Every year they lose to the Chiefs,
it feels like, and then every year I have to
show up in the camp and explain why they won't
this year. So he's the raining MVP guy. He had

the bet with the amazing season, he did all the highlights.

He's always a show. He looked great in Short's not
gonna go with Josh Allen.

I'm gonna go with Baker Mayfield for this one. I
feel like the Tristan worst thing. The injury is really legitimate,
I think for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But moreover, I
feel like we people are wholly unfair to the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers at time. We are constantly trying to justify
some other reason a different team in this division should
beat the Buccaneers. And they've proved to us for the

last couple of seasons, and specifically with Baker Mayfield with
his contract in hand, why that they don't deserve to
be atop this division. Yet they have proved people wrong
here and in you're out. So Baker Mayfield, who's constantly
wearing the contrarian hat who is justifying himself on his
fourth team and finally got that big deal, and his
personality and the best way possible has truly come out

in this juncture in his career. But I'm watching him
to see what kind of season? What kind of tone
can you say with this bucckeers, Can you just matter
of fact? They take this division from the jump and
put away all these falcon supporters and all the Panthers
could be the Cinderella team because Baker Mayfield could stand
up with on his popsicle stick here and put the
entire division on his shoulders and say, nah, not this year.

It's gonna be the Bucks again. All right, topic too,
if you had to pick one of these quarterbacks to
beat the Chiefs, too bad, we don't have a fifth
popsicle stick for Joe Burrow Mantai. Who would you pick
if you could pick one of these guys from the
twenty eighteen classes.

Well, Josh, Josh. He's really good at beating Patrick during
the season. It's the question is in the playoffs and
you got Lamar, who's you know, same kind of thing.

Now, there's one quarterback that last year.

His name is Baker Mayfield that took the Kansas City
Chiefs to overtime. And now people may be thinking, oh, well,
what's the big deal, Well, he didn't have Mike Everett
Evans and Chris Godwin. So you're talking about a quarterback
who lined up against the Super Bowl champs about to
play in the Super Bowl that year as well, with
not his number one and not his number two wide

receiver in the game, and he did it, and he
took him to the to overtime earlier in this season.
It's just somebody who I see in Baker Mayfield. He's
always competitive, he's always going to will his team to win,
and he's always going to compete. So if I had
to pick anybody guys.

I mean, I'll go with Josh Allen just because you
mentioned it, man Ty like he's beaten the Chiefs multiple times.
Granted it's always in the regular season, and sure enough,

think even Chiefs fans at this point know they're going
to lose that game. That's just kind of what happens.

him down. You got to be hardened sometime in the
best way possible. You got to be like the entire

and Sam Donald finally figured his business out in Minnesota,
last year. I'm not saying this Seahawks team is the
one that could do it, but quarterback to quarterback. For
some reason, I feel like Donald could mess around and
be like I've seen worse. I've seen like the bottomless
pit that is the machine of NFL critiques and critics,
and I think Donald could do it if anybody. I
don't know why.

And now they were immediately getting rid of Josh Rosen
