Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
That's only one one stuff on the deal with them,
gotta deal with then this game about dominating your opponent.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Take your hand off, you gotta take his hand take you.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
And that's when we own today.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
You don't dominates to put it on his plate.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Must three three change.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
You can still feel that energy reverberating from across the
street at so far. That's this man right here tomorrow, Davis.
I'm looking at you watching yourself. Is that like an
out of body experience?

Speaker 5 (00:48):
First of all, I'm like, why am I so charged up?

Speaker 6 (00:50):
And I'm not even about to play?

Speaker 5 (00:55):
It's so funny though I even got into that. Man.

Speaker 6 (00:59):
I used to watch these videos of ray Lewis as
a kid, Like I was watching like mad in two
thousand and five when ray Lewis was leading like leave
you r Mark, never never thinking that I would be
the guy that's like in the huddle doing those things.
And so that's incredible. But yeah, I was too hyped
up for yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:17):
Not too hyped up, not at all, not at all.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
The game was played, though we got a highlight that
we want to take a look at and we want
to talk about your squad. Does that work for you?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (01:25):
Cool?

Speaker 7 (01:25):
So Kellen Moore, as.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
We all know, youngest active head coach in the NFL
now at thirty seven years old, first time with a
headset on for the Saints.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
This is a Tyler Shuck.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Package in television, as we like to say, second round
pick out a louisvill Shuck throws the shore past his
Dante Pettis picked. Eric Rodgers runs this sing back Rogers
rookie out of Ruckers forty four yard TV puts more
points on the board for the Chargers. First mistake of
the day for Shuck. Moving on next, Saints drive. Chuck,
looking a bounce back first and ten from their own
forty six, throws this deep to Mason Tipton, drops it

(01:57):
in the bucket, tipped in with the hand up before
he crosses the goal line, a thing of beauty fifty
four yard TV. Chuck would finish fifteen twenty two bucks
sixty five with the TV and that aforementioned interception. So
your guy Tyler Shuck, Now you watched him after the
hype speech, what'd you make of the peck man?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
It was so much that happened in that clip.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
I think there's no greater representation of New Orleans and
what just happened in what we just saw in that
five to ten second. Yeah, think about adversity, the worst
adversary it what's the worst thing you think you can
do as a Quarterback's throw a pick six? And in
his first preseason games, he comes back the next drive
and throws a bomb for a TD. Like that's ultimate resiliency,

(02:39):
Like that's ultimate facing adversity and starting right in the
eye and not blinking, not flinching, And that's incredible.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
That's incredible. So I don't even really, it's a good
way to put it. Yeah, yeah, I see the response.

Speaker 8 (02:49):
So you got Tyler shuck, But you also have somebody
named Chris Round that I know you were you're really
impressed with. Talk to us a little bit about him
and the other rookies that you saw really impressed.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Well, it was a lot of guys that stood out
in the game. No, we didn't get to win, but
it was guys who had incredible performances. Man, Chris Rump
has had an incredible camp. I mean this guy is
crazy off the edge him and for their digs, they were.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
Phenomenal and just having that pressure off the edge.

Speaker 6 (03:15):
You know, in Brandon's stately system, you gotta have.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
The pressure off the edge.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
You look at what that like, big fans of your
system in Philadelphia, what they were able to do in
the Super Bowl, that that edge pressure, you got to
have it and them guys were phenomenal and so major
shout out to them.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
Got to give a shout out to my linebackers.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Jayalen Ford and Isaiah Stalberg both led the team in
tackles with a tackles.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
They were phenomenal, lights out all over the fielding. So
there's some.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Guys that that that had big days offense. We just saw,
we saw shuck. But this Veyless Jones Junior.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Oh my gosh, yeah, oh my god.

Speaker 6 (03:50):
I love football. I love dogs, and man he showed it. Man,
he showed he's a dog.

Speaker 9 (03:55):
Linebackers always cracked me up. You always call out the
other linebackers.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
You have to.

Speaker 9 (03:59):
You guys always do that. But you're not at all
like I thought you would be. You're actually a nice guy.
I've seen you play a bunch of times from the sidelines.
You are an absolute monster. But I do have to
ask you when you have a new head coach, a
young head coach, and a young quarterback. I mean, how
does that inspire you a veteran that's been through so
many battles.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Of wars man.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
First of all, man, I love I love playing for
Kellen Moore, and I'm not just hyping up.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
First of all, were the same age, and I.

Speaker 6 (04:25):
Think I didn't know what it would be like, but
experiencing it, it's almost like we have the same brain.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
If I was running a team, I would run it
exactly like he runs it.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Going into your fourteen like you can be the grumpy
old man in the locker room, like I love coming
to work every day.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
I love coming to work. Like I know the.

Speaker 6 (04:44):
Record has been what's been, But I guarantee you there's
nobody having more fun playing football.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Than New Orleans Saints right now.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Wow, we've had two scrimmages, full scrimmages, man time, over
one hundred plays what in camp before the first preseason game,
and our bodies feel fresh?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Tell me how you do that?

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Man?

Speaker 1 (05:01):
It's dude.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
He understands efficiency, he understands like bringing joy to football.
He has an amazing coaching staff. You have a killer
in him as an offensive court. Now you have a
killer in Brandis Daily. This ted rap Our strength and
conditioning coach is incredible. Like I'd rather do OTA's in
mini camp at home, but like I actually enjoyed going
to work. I got better And so you're fourteen. Like

(05:23):
the staff that he's assembled, I mean I could rave
about those guys all day. And I mean Kellen resume
speaks for himself. There's no I have no doubts about
now about how fast he's ascended as a coach. I
think everybody just gets it. Like he's really different.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Tomorrio, what's great about you is you can talk about
things all around the league and you got your eye
on everything. There's a lot of talk and has been
for months about Shador Sanders. This Browns rookie quarterback is
Dion Son. You know, the whole deal falls in the draft.
Now plays his first preseason game the other night and
looked really good. What is your take on him and
the remedia's reaction to Shader Sanders.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
Man, I'm so glad you asked this question. I'm so
glad you asked question. How many people were heartbroken that
he didn't land in New Orleans?

Speaker 5 (06:09):
But everything happens is exactly how it's supposed to man.
This brother is. He's divinely blessed. He's divinely blessed.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
It doesn't matter where you place him, he's going to shine.
And it doesn't matter who closed the door. There's the
door that's open for him. And that's what he's doing.
He's putting it on display. He fell to wish round
default and fourth, fifth and fifth round, you know, and
projected to be first round.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
You haven't seen him be down. You haven't seen him
be complaint. You haven't seen him complain. He showed up.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
He's been the ultimate professional. He's going to the camps,
he's going to talk to the kids, he's signing autographs,
he's being himself.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
And all he's done is showing up in work.

Speaker 6 (06:46):
And when you look at how impressive he looked in
his first preseason game, I don't think anybody was shocked.
And I just think what I think is most impressive
about it is his demeanor in it all. But you
just look at the pedigree that he comes from. His
dad is a Hall of famer. He's been around it

(07:06):
his whole life. He is built for moments like this,
and I just think it's going to be we all
are going to get a chance to witness his story,
and I just love just the light and the aura
that's coming off his life.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
It's amazing to see. Major shout out to you, Shador.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Now.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
The reason why this is so enlightening what you're saying
about your door is because the Browns have just been
through it when it comes to the quarterback position, and
one of those stops on that emotionally charged train is
the Baker Mayfield experience. We've seen Baker bounce around and
now you face against him in the NFC South, going
up against the Buccaneers. So what is it like when
you are preparing for a Baker Mayfield experience in the league,

(07:44):
knowing his personality, knowing what he has become as a
quarterback man.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
I'm so a big fan of Baker Mayfield. I'm a
guy that likes to see the underdog adversity story overcoming
because I think life is a journey. We all go
through hard stuff, things don't go the way we want,
and it's not about what happens to you in this world,
but it's about how you respond to it, and Baker
is a representation of that. I mean, he's had high,

(08:11):
many highs in his life. He's had many lows. But
now it's going very well for him. He has tempa rolling.
Every time we get a chance to go against you know,
Baker and Todd Bowles, we already know what it's going
to be. That defense is going to be loaded. They're
going to come out, you know, swinging. Got Mike Evans
outside trying to stop him. It's going to be a
hard day. And so and Baker, he's running the show

(08:33):
and he has his moment.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
He's owning it and he's an ultimate competitor.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
This is exciting because in August we have so many questions.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
We're about to give you some answers.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
What you were looking at right there is the twenty
twenty five FTN Football Almanac.

Speaker 7 (08:49):
It is out right now FTN.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
For the numbers and the the sort of gandalfs, the
all knowing wizard of all of this, of that almanac
and of all the questions you want answers to, is
our guy Aaron Shot. It's from FTN, works from ESPN.
He makes a living and dare I say a life
digging into analytics and studies and details and there he

(09:14):
is Aaron, we are so excited to talk to you.
How's life.

Speaker 7 (09:17):
How are you feeling about the study shots?

Speaker 10 (09:19):
I'm good, good, maybe through another off season. I'm ready
for the season. First week of preseason was fun. Life
is good in beautiful Massachusetts and I'm pretty happy.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Great.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Well, Massachusetts has an up and coming team in the
AFC East.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
Will see how they fare.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
But before then, Aaron Shotts, let's get into it right
off the raft the bat. Your top five teams this season.
I want you to break it down and tell me
how you landed on this and what this means.

Speaker 7 (09:46):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (09:48):
DDA is the main metric we use, and I projected
based on how teams have played over the last couple
of years in certain situations, personnel changes, coaching experience, a
few other variables. And these are my top five projected
teams for twenty twenty five. Ravens, Lions, Bills, Chiefs and Commanders.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
All right, So if anybody at home doesn't know this,
and how dare you if you don't dvoas defense adjusted
value over average And I know that because Aaron told
me during commercial. But here's something that jumps out anybody
who can cut through the vernacular and the details. Can
see a list of top five teams under any circumstance
going into the season, and they're going to be screaming
that the reigning Super Bowl champion, very dominant Philadelphia Eagles

(10:32):
are not on there.

Speaker 10 (10:33):
Why, Aaron, because they were very dominant on defense. And
we talked about this a lot. Every year offense is
more predictable and more consistent the defense, defense regresses to
the mean more heavily. The Eagles were only thirteenth on
offense during the regular season. They were awesome in the
Super Bowl, but that's just one game. It was the

(10:55):
defense that drove that team. Fantastic defense, and especially with
the personnel changes that they had, it's very likely that
that defense comes back in the pack a little bit
and it's more like fourth or fifth rather than number
one by a large margin.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
That sounds like an insult, and I'm gonna use that.
I don't even know what it means, but it feels good.
Your defense regresses to the mean more commonly, like that
is awesome.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
Appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
You've got the Ravens as the top team. How does
that happen for a team that we are just waiting
to get to a Super Bowl appearance, waiting to get
deeper into the playoffs. Somehow they're your number one team.
How did they out edge out the competition?

Speaker 10 (11:33):
Well, part of it is that we're just projecting the
regular season here, but they've been our number one team
in the regular season for two straight years. They're very
good and very balanced, top five team in all three
phases of the game. Lamar Jackson had one of the
best passing seasons in NFL history last year, not even

(11:53):
with his rushing, just talking about his drop back passing.
So our numbers love the Ravens and one of these
years they're going to get over the hump. The problem
is that one of these years the Bills are also
going to get over the hump and they can't do
it at the same time.

Speaker 9 (12:07):
Shots, My life changed today. I didn't think you'd be
able to complete a top five list that didn't have
the Eagles in it. Yeah, And if they don't, you
have the Commanders in it. Without the Eagles, how do
you have that in the top five?

Speaker 7 (12:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (12:20):
I was really surprised when our numbers came out with
the Commanders so high because they were so good on
fourth downs last year and that is not going to continue.
But we really like some of the changes they made.
They took their biggest weakness and worked on it by
adding Laramie Tunsel. We like adding Deebo Samuel, and we
think that the Washington defense can be slightly below average

(12:43):
instead of bad like it was last year. Also, I
want to point out the difference in schedule where Philadelphia
has to play the Bills, the Rams, and the Buccaneers,
while the Commanders play the Dolphins, the Seahawks, and the Falcons.
That is a big difference in the NFC East Shots.

Speaker 8 (13:00):
Okay, so you had a top five, so that means
there's twenty seven other teams left. What team out of
those twenty seven won't live up to the hype this year.

Speaker 10 (13:09):
We are not that high this year on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Don't really like what Aaron Rodgers did in New York
last year. We don't think he's one of the best
quarterbacks in the league anymore. Their defense was fourth in
the league in takeaways per drive. That is something that
does regress to the mean pretty heavily. So we think
their defense is going to decline a little bit. Now

(13:29):
I may be wrong about this because Mike Tomlin has
magical locker room management powers, and we may not be
incorporating that into our projections, but overall we're just not
as high on the Steelers as the public.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
All Right, So, Shots, this is the is people say,
the whole Enchilada, the reason why you uh here we go.
We bring you on here February eighth and Santa Clara,
Super Bowl sixty is being played. Shots, we rely on
this to influence us in our prediction week. The public
relies on you to make your ever educated Super Bowl pick.
Who do you have playing in Super Bowl sixty.

Speaker 10 (14:05):
I'm hoping this is not just wish fulfillment, because I
would love to see these two fan bases get there.
But I'm going with the Bills and the Lions as
my super bride.

Speaker 7 (14:19):
Okay, I love this matchup.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Oh your pick last year?

Speaker 10 (14:23):
I remember think are a little bit better than the Bills.
But the Bills have the easier schedule, especially that game
with the Ravens that's in Buffalo. That's going to be
so important for home field in the AFC. And I
think that the Lions are going to overcome the loss
of the two coordinators with better health on defense.

Speaker 7 (14:42):
All right shots.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
I know that my sister Jamie just said February eighth
is a very very important day. But another important day
is August twenty seventh and August twenty eighth. I got
a fantasy football draft with a couple of my buddies.

Speaker 7 (14:55):
Now you're the expert.

Speaker 8 (14:57):
There's Bijon Robinson, Bajean.

Speaker 7 (15:00):
And Saquon Barkley as a top running back.

Speaker 8 (15:02):
Who do you consider out of those two the top
running back for this year?

Speaker 7 (15:05):
I need your help.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (15:07):
Jeff Radcliffe is an award winning projections guy. He does
all of our fantasy projections for FTN, and he likes
Bajon Robinson over Saquon Barkley in most leagues. The big
reason is receiving. Robinson has better receiving numbers, and a
lot of leagues these days are either PPR or half PPR,
so those receiving numbers really matter. And that's why we've

(15:29):
got Bajon Robinson actually as the top running.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Back this year.

Speaker 9 (15:33):
I need a sneaky pick. I need help on my
fantasy squad as well. Do you have a sleeper I
should be looking at right now.

Speaker 10 (15:40):
I really like Matthew Golden, the rookie wide receiver in
Green Bay because a lot of their receivers have trouble
catching the ball, and he is what they're looking for,
which is a clear number one. I know that Green
Bay doesn't want to give too much to a rookie
right away, but I think he's going to really break out,
especially over the second half of the season.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Write that down, use it, wield it. Shots knows his stuff.
And just in case anyone thought you weren't quite interesting enough,
you will not believe where Aaron goes next.

Speaker 7 (16:12):
Shots. You were a DJ in an alt rock radio
station in the nineties.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Now there's a thing going on right now in this
country where nineties rock is massive and it's dad rock,
and there's these tours and all these bands from twenty
five thirty years ago are massive again. But you played
a critical part in the emergence of one of those bands.

Speaker 7 (16:31):
Please tell us about it.

Speaker 10 (16:33):
So I was music director at WKRO and Daytona Beach, Florida,
and the morning guys brought me a demo from a
band from Tallahassee, and I said, this is not the
kind of music I like it all, but it is
going to be so popular. I could hear it right away.
How popular this was going to be. So we put
it on the air and it become our number one

(16:53):
most requested band and they were called Creep and we.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
Yah wind Up Records.

Speaker 10 (17:01):
So I am one of the people who was partly
responsible for Creed becoming a big band in the United States.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
All right, and we're looking at stapp and Thanksgiving Day
about twenty five years ago in the Cowboys Stadium, just
bringing the house down. But Shots was the song. It
was it my Own Prison. What did you hear that
you liked that much?

Speaker 10 (17:20):
It was the demo of My Own Prison? And I'm
totally not into that kind of grunge, but I was like,
this is going to be huge, This is going to
be huge, and we put it on. We were the
second station to play it, after the station in Tallahassee,
and they worked that popularity in with wind Up Records
and they got their record deal and then became a
huge band across the country.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Wow, God bless you, God bless you. Aaron Shots banging
my head Sunday, awesome.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
I love it. You're the best.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Everybody get the FTN Football Almanac. It is like Shots
has taken all the year football and created his own
prison right there in this book. Get the book, get
the predictions, head to FTN Fantasy Slash Almanac. It's the
answer to all of your questions.

Speaker 7 (18:09):
I absolutely love it.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Read this book with arms wide opening cheat.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
That I want. I now have a Facebook.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
And why not go Chevy Beast in the yard kick. Listen,
We're not joking.

Speaker 7 (18:26):
This kid can really drill the ball.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Holy smokes, they got a shot. He just kicked a
seventy year.

Speaker 7 (18:36):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Crazy? That's crazy NFL record? That would be an NFL
record in the first half. Holy smoke. That's unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (18:52):
That's incredible.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
You know, for years and years in the NFL, sixty
three was the number. Sixty three was the longest field
goal ever kick for a while for a while. Then
it went to sixty six and that was just put
that away. No one's ever gonna beat that. And then
this dude on the Jags in August in the preseason
quirks a seventy yard field goal and we got them
Jags kicker Cam little what's up?

Speaker 5 (19:14):
Bro?

Speaker 7 (19:15):
Are you doing? That's good? How are you guys doing
this morning? Y'all are fired up?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
I love it, obviously, I'm really excited. Yeah, dude, you're
the man.

Speaker 7 (19:23):
You're the man. We got so many questions for you.
So would you mind taking us.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Back through the moment and if you if you wouldn't
mind talk us through it from the down before to
you on the sideline, to coach sending you out to
the kick to everything, just tell us.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (19:37):
So, I think that we had got the ball back
with I think twenty something seconds left in the second quarter,
and you know, we had to get obviously after the kickoff,
we had to get about twenty twenty five yards and
being where my field goal line was going to be,
and so you know, clock was running down and I
think we uh, you know, my especially Heames coordinator coming

(19:59):
to me is like obviously asking my line to see
how far you know, we had to get to get
in a field goal. You know, we had that conversation.
I think we threw a checkdown and we got down
with one second left, and obviously we had a time
out called the time out, got a second left on
the clock, and we were I think would be the
minus forty eight I think is what it is. And
so yeah, you know, eight yards further back from that

(20:22):
at the ten yards from the end zone. It was
seventy and I was like, dude, let's kick this. And
obviously Logan uh, my holder and punter on the team,
was like, yes, let's kick it, Like we want.

Speaker 7 (20:32):
To kick this.

Speaker 11 (20:32):
And so I looked down at the line and you know,
Coach Cohen and you know, Coach Farwell looking at me
like do you want it? And I'm like, yeah, let's
kick it, dude. Let's let's have a chance of you know,
hitting a long field goal to see because I've only
gotten put in that situation a couple of times before
half from a long distance, and so I was like,
let's do it. And so, you know, we go out there,
and at that point, as soon as I step on

(20:53):
the field, I kind of like just blackout at that
point for most kicks, not even just a long one
before halftime or a big time situation. You know, you
really strictly rely on muscle memory at that point to
go out there and execute. And you know, I get
out there and I'm looking down at the uprights and
I'm like, dang, this is a really well way down there.
And so you know, pick my line out. My snapper

(21:15):
and holder do a great job every time. Ross put
it in laces directly out perfect location logan just all
he has to do is set it down with the
perfect tilt, and we went out there and executed, and
obviously the story after that is it's pretty exciting with
my teammates coming out there to help me celebrate, which
was really cool.

Speaker 7 (21:33):
Cam cam that was that was insane.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Man.

Speaker 12 (21:35):
What was most impressive to me was the flight of
the ball.

Speaker 7 (21:38):
Usually when we.

Speaker 12 (21:39):
See a long field gold anything over sixty, you see
a line drive and a lot of those are blocked
at the line. But that, man, that ball jumped off
your foot and the height all the way through the
upright was insane.

Speaker 7 (21:53):
What I want to know was what was.

Speaker 12 (21:54):
The reaction of your teammates and the coaches when they
kick went in.

Speaker 11 (22:00):
You know, it was honestly pretty cool to see my
teammates reactions. You know, sometimes maybe specialists or you know,
kind of like an outlier on the team. It's it's
a position that you know, sometimes we're just expected to
go out there and do our job and then let
offense and defense kind of.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
Do their own thing.

Speaker 11 (22:17):
It's so cool to see how much my teammates care
about teams and they were out there and helping me
celebrate just like if I just hit a you know,
a bust at one.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
Hundred yard touchdown run.

Speaker 11 (22:27):
It was really cool, you know, the excitement between you know,
guys that are in not only my rookie class, but
guys that have been here for seven eight years. It
was so cool to see them kind of rally around me,
Ross and Logan for something that we work really hard
at to make sure that we go out there and
do our job every time. So not only that, but
also the staff was pretty pretty excited for me. You

(22:48):
can see some of the coaches coming out there celebrating
with me. So it was honestly really cool, but not
shocking to me at all because I know how much
you know the culture here around specialists, and you know
how tight ennit our team is. It was just, you know,
kind of another day where we're all celebrating each other.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Cam What I love is that, you know, Kyle wanted
the moments leading up to it, specifically, the celebration was
amazing to watch. But there's one individual who people have
watched throughout his draft process and getting drafted and playing
and practicing in Jacksonville that he appears to have energy
that is through the roof. But to see Travis Hunter
as the second person to get to you and to

(23:27):
celebrate with you, is that just totally parallel to his
personality and as a teammate.

Speaker 11 (23:33):
Yeah, I think it's right on par with you know,
his personality all the time. He's a very team guy,
brings a you know, great great peace to our culture.
And I mean just to see him come out there
as a second guy to come out there and go
up with me, he jumped a.

Speaker 7 (23:47):
Lot higher than me, yes, if you can tell me.

Speaker 11 (23:51):
But to see a guy like him, you know, come
and bring the energy, bring the culture that he does,
it's it's going to be very valuable on our team.
And you know, I think that just describes everyone on
the team and what we're trying to build here in
Jacksonville is you know, that tight knit culture regardless of position,
if we're going to be a unit is one.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
So it was really cool to see.

Speaker 8 (24:07):
Well, Cam you toased in commercial break that there's this
new thing that you're able to do now with the
NFL as a kicker with the ball. Could you explain
a little bit or articulate a little bit what that new.

Speaker 7 (24:17):
Thing that we have in the NFL for kickers.

Speaker 11 (24:20):
Yeah, so I guess the real new rule is the
prepping the ball before the game has changed a little bit.
Used to, you would get the ball certain a lot
of time before the game, a brand new football, so
right out of the package, and your equipment staff or
whoever was in charge of getting that football prepared and
broken in before the game would have I think it

(24:42):
was a cup like two or three hours before the
game to prep it. And so you have to get
that ball pretty beat up in the matter of three
hours to get it, you know, obviously ready to kick
and get ready for the game. And so the rules
changed to where you can do it earlier in the
week now, so you get the balls, you know, three
or four, five days before the game now, so obviously
get it more beat up, more broken in to where

(25:04):
honestly it will probably impact you know, the game just
a little bit to where you can obviously kick the
ball further and maybe be a little more accurate with
your kicks because obviously the ball is more broken in.
I don't know if you know many people have seen
a brand new NFL you know football, It's it's really
really pretty hard, and you know, there's not much give
to it. So when you get to you know, prep

(25:25):
the ball for a little longer that that's going to
obviously help a little bit, you know, maybe with distance
and just comfortability when you go out there with the ball.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
All right, Cam, So you had a high comfort level
from seventy yards away. So this begs the question, you've
already hit from seventy moving forward, if the conditions are
what they need to be and coach turns through you,
can you hit from seventy one?

Speaker 7 (25:49):
Can you hit from seventy two? What is the number?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
You know?

Speaker 11 (25:54):
I wish I could answer that question truthfully, but you know,
it's all it's all a thing on I guess game
day and what the conditions are? Are we kicking inside?
Do we have the win at our back? Is the
win in our face? What's the situation? So I think
that's all off to coach Cohen if he thinks, if
he thinks I can go out there and kick it,
then by golly throwing me out there for it. That's
why I'm you know, that's what I get paid to do,

(26:15):
is to go out there and put the ball.

Speaker 7 (26:16):
Through the yellow things.

Speaker 11 (26:18):
So I think that's probably a situational and strategic thing
to kind of go out there and figure out, you know,
for you know, if he needs we need three points,
send me.

Speaker 7 (26:26):
Out there, and I'm supposed to do my job.

Speaker 11 (26:28):
So that's how I kind of look at it.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Is there a number that you would say, honestly, coach,
for the good of the.

Speaker 7 (26:35):
Team, I don't have this number, like I can't hit
from there.

Speaker 11 (26:39):
Yeah, I would say probably, you know, right around where
we kicked it. I mean, it's it comes to a
point where it's like, what's the risk reward here to
get three points? If I miss it, you know, obviously
there's a chance of return. And if I, you know,
miss it and we don't return it, well, they get
the ball at the opposite side of the field. So
there's definitely that that factor that goes along with, you know,

(27:00):
the risk reward.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
I think.

Speaker 11 (27:02):
So, I mean we're touching that range with seventy already,
so I think that's probably about the range where we'd
be like, all right, it's probably not a smart thing
to do.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
All right, Well, risk reward. Let's be honest. Preseason game
they matter, but they don't count.

Speaker 7 (27:17):
Let's go to Week one.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
You guys are home, You're in Duval County. You're against
the Panthers, they're up twenty to nineteen, it's three seconds
left in the clock, and little gets sent out for
a seventy yard field goal in a regulation game?

Speaker 7 (27:32):
Would coach Cohen do it? And are you splitt in
the yellow things?

Speaker 5 (27:37):
I would?

Speaker 7 (27:38):
I mean I would.

Speaker 11 (27:39):
I would expect maybe to be thrown out there for it,
But I obviously, you know, depends on the win conditions.

Speaker 7 (27:44):
That's totally up to him.

Speaker 11 (27:45):
I wish, I wish I could give a direct answer there,
but you know, whatever he thinks, he is going to
put our team in the best position to.

Speaker 7 (27:52):
Go out there.

Speaker 11 (27:52):
And you know, whether that's a hell Mary or the
field goal, I know he's going to make the right decisions.
So full confidence in whatever whatever his plan is.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Cam You're a smart man, you're a great teammate, and
you got an absolute nuke as a leg.

Speaker 7 (28:07):
It's an amazing thing that you made that.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
I don't care if it's a preseason on here, if
it's a super Bowl, I know it's not the last
we have heard from you, and we're looking for exciting
things from the Jags this year.

Speaker 7 (28:15):
Dude, you're the people's kicker now.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
We love you can't You're the best.

Speaker 7 (28:18):
I appreciate you, guys, say you guys so much.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
Gets paid to put the ball through the yellow thing,
the brown.

Speaker 7 (28:23):
Thing to the yellow thing.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Good luck playing on.

Speaker 7 (28:25):
The green thing.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
Man, Ti, you have been so bad on Good Morning
Football and trying to beat.

Speaker 7 (28:34):
Kyle Brant et trivia.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Know it's true truth, so.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Bad, so bad at it, and we had to create
an entire segment over it. So now people come up
with topics. They come to our house, to our breakfast
table set and they try to beat Kyle Brandt well.
And while he looks like he would be easily to
beat right now, his brain is perfectly fine despite the
pain medication day.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
That's not true.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
He said.

Speaker 13 (28:58):
He's on a different time zone right now. He's all
over the place. It's all swollen from the flight.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Don't take the bait, dude.

Speaker 7 (29:04):
You have to be laser focused.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
I'm just hosting the segment, but I'm really on your side.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Here we go.

Speaker 5 (29:09):
I live in confidence.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
It's beat Kyle Brandt in Bears trivia and w W trivia.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
So man, I tried like six times and now he's
going to be my manager. Doesn't start.

Speaker 13 (29:22):
I got you again, confidence.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Use your whiteboards to write these answers down and reveal
to the camera when you're all right, let's do it.
Who has the most receptions in Bears franchise history? Everyone's
all hopped up about the four thousand yard passer? I'm
asking who has the most receptions?

Speaker 7 (29:39):
Now, you know how easy this is going to be?

Speaker 1 (29:40):
No? No, I can by the tone of the first question,
I'm already feeling patronized about how.

Speaker 7 (29:45):
Easy this is.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Now this one, I'm going to sweep the category. I
will be shocked if I get a question wrong.

Speaker 13 (29:50):
All right, let this is this is this is rough
for me, and I'm going to tell you right now
this is not good that confidence.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
Just where is?

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Where's that?

Speaker 7 (30:00):
Don't look at the answer?

Speaker 3 (30:01):
This is bad question.

Speaker 7 (30:03):
It's good to first one out of the way.

Speaker 13 (30:05):
All right, It's just hit the first one out of
the way.

Speaker 7 (30:08):
Yeah, what I do?

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Can I give my teammate a.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Clue here at all? All right?

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Are we ready to reveal Manti?

Speaker 7 (30:18):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (30:18):
All right, go ahead, reveal to your camera.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
My sweetness, the most receptions embarrassed.

Speaker 8 (30:26):
Franchise history is the legend himself, sweetness. He has a
hill and he has receptions.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
Now we're going here.

Speaker 7 (30:34):
Is that legitimate?

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Well, that's a legit. No.

Speaker 13 (30:36):
I mean I picked a wide receiver who catches football
as Brandon Marshall.

Speaker 7 (30:40):
I think not a cat I think I'm wrong.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
But sweetness, sweetness.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
No, Unfortunately, your shock is appropriate because it is Walter.

Speaker 13 (30:52):
Two ever by a ruddy most reception bears history.

Speaker 7 (30:57):
Yeah, and what are we talking about?

Speaker 8 (31:01):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (31:01):
That is at the time of time, Nam.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Catches six. Wow, that's included the eighty five super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
That's impressive.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
We're going to do ww trivia, right, you understand the premise.
Now beat Kyle Brand. Hey, cow block in.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
This one's for you.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Change it to be Kyle Brand, because that's what everyone wants.

Speaker 7 (31:23):
All right, let's go all right, all right?

Speaker 8 (31:24):
Heret me up.

Speaker 13 (31:25):
I guess I just need to get that one out
of the way.

Speaker 7 (31:27):
Just get that one.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Just let it send it.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
You know, you are the winner of the money in
the bank briefcase, recently cashing it in at SummerSlam to
win that World Heavy A Championship belt.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Here's a question.

Speaker 7 (31:38):
There were two.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
Winners of money in the Bank ladder matches back in
twenty ten, okay, for one point each. So you could
take a jump on Kyle right now for one point
each name both of those we superstars won the money
in the Bank ladder matches on July eight.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Two winners ten of the money in the bank.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
This is a hard question.

Speaker 13 (31:58):
I'm with you in the bank Ladder matches and get
one point for each one point one two winners.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
You could just who was who was doing big things
in the summer of twenty ten.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Oh gosh, I got a guess.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
I think I might know there was a SmackDown winner
and a raw winner.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
Okay, this is very difficult.

Speaker 13 (32:18):
Okay, Okay, God, I got one.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
I will just I'll just guess on another one. I'll
guess at the second one. I think I might know one. Okay,
if you just write down two because I wrote, I
wrote down to.

Speaker 7 (32:33):
I wrote down to.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
That's revealed first.

Speaker 13 (32:36):
Okay, he's done again. Geez, These are no no joke,
all right. Mine are my Ulter nemesis, See and Punk,
who I hate and wish bad things have han And
the other is mister Kennedy.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Oh are my yeses?

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Okay Kennedy the VJ Okay, here, what do I got?

Speaker 7 (32:51):
I don't even know?

Speaker 1 (32:51):
I Tim Copra we have two.

Speaker 7 (32:54):
We have the miss okay and so cold Steve. That's
what's the right answer? Right answer.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
The right answers are Kine, oh and the miss Madys.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Oh no, Kyle, you're not at yet.

Speaker 13 (33:14):
God hands off the march and die God gee, good low,
shame on me.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
I mean I thought this carrying this segment was hard,
but this thing is a wow. I got a lot
of lifting left, don't le right? Come on, right, caby
and look at this all right here, give me that
racer that you got here?

Speaker 7 (33:36):
Question three?

Speaker 1 (33:36):
What do you got knocking?

Speaker 7 (33:37):
How many questions are they?

Speaker 1 (33:38):
There's five?

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Come on, you got a chance here. Dan Marino famously
ended the bears chances of going undefeated in Week thirteen,
nineteen eighty five, by throwing for two seven.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Years God's sake?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Who caught two of those touchdowns during a funding knighte
football game at the Orange Bowl?

Speaker 7 (33:54):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (33:54):
What year is god?

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Nineteen eighty five?

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Eighty five?

Speaker 7 (33:57):
So the Bears were.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Undefeated in eighty five up until Week thirteen.

Speaker 13 (34:02):
Guys, I was in utero.

Speaker 6 (34:03):
I was not alive.

Speaker 7 (34:10):
Oh, there's a clue.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
This is an infamous Bears game. All right, it's the
only game they lost all year. Allegedly, Buddy Ryan and
Mike Dick had got in a fight at halftime. The
Dan Marino Dolphins did beat the eighty five Bears, and
so we're asking, they're asking the wide receiver six on
the eighty five Dolphins that maybe we might name a
Bears player guys on that point, Josh.

Speaker 7 (34:31):
And yet it's kind of coming to me.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
And yet no, it's not.

Speaker 11 (34:36):
No, it's not not excellent.

Speaker 7 (34:41):
No, it's not all right. I think I might. No,
you do not know this.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
He doesn't know this.

Speaker 7 (34:47):
It was the video. If you know this, I believe
you are cheating some of you.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
This is nonsense.

Speaker 7 (34:54):
I also wasn't in utero.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Here's my answer, I.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
Cheetah.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
That's how fast he is. We're back in time.

Speaker 13 (35:02):
That's how fast he is to touchdown nineteen eighty five.

Speaker 7 (35:05):
All right, there's better than the rest.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Jesus. Okay, where are we showing it over? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (35:11):
Is that the right answer?

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Who is that?

Speaker 1 (35:14):
That's not a real person? R E.

Speaker 7 (35:16):
That's a lie.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Unfortunately, No, not more hard.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
How are you kidding me? Who's in that man's ear piece?
Who's in that ear piece? Don't take it out? Who's
in that ear piece. This is nonsense. You know. The
sad part is that I'm doing this.

Speaker 7 (35:34):
Dude, I met like thirty percent right now?

Speaker 13 (35:36):
Okay, nothing, this is blown.

Speaker 7 (35:40):
Oh my, he's not ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Oh no, I don't believe this. That's more yep accusing
me of winning something that's fixed. Wow, he knew it
was by the way his legs moves.

Speaker 7 (35:52):
Come on something clicked thing click yeah, or.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Catching something click?

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Everybody all right? This question questioned me that again we
have won.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Let's give Seth the fighting chance here, but this is
another This is going to be a four point play,
two points for each chance.

Speaker 7 (36:11):
I'm just making making a hundred.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Okay, I'm not going to two.

Speaker 13 (36:14):
Points each that somebody Seth all in here.

Speaker 14 (36:22):
Point blay.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
Okay, it's a visual clue, Seth, focus on the scrat.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
The first set of points can go if you can
name this legendary w w E tag Bushwhackers. No, don't
say it, write it now, two points if you can
name the tag team. The second opportunity to earn two
points is if you can name their finishing moves.

Speaker 7 (36:49):
They got to Maryland manson shirts. I just want to
shout out since round the NFL network. Marylynd Manson from.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Kenton, Ohio, the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
There you go, everybody, It's true, Marit Ohio.

Speaker 13 (37:01):
I'm aware, great, but thank you for inlightening it.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Why the know that what is wrong? Every week?

Speaker 7 (37:08):
I'm very talented?

Speaker 1 (37:09):
What do you want to use this?

Speaker 7 (37:13):
The problem is so sid I can't. I don't think
I know that tag Cam. I don't I recognize him.
I can't come up with a name.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
Is that true?

Speaker 7 (37:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (37:20):
This is on your board.

Speaker 7 (37:21):
Don't be distracted by it.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Okay, it's on your.

Speaker 7 (37:23):
Now is it going to click?

Speaker 3 (37:24):
Is it clicking?

Speaker 6 (37:25):
It?

Speaker 7 (37:26):
You can do it. Finishing, Yeah, that's the hard part.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Gosh. With that done, I feel like I've seen him before.

Speaker 7 (37:32):
But I don't know this. Oh I took my ear
piece out, by the way, don't want me to move fast?

Speaker 3 (37:39):
I don't.

Speaker 13 (37:39):
I don't remember the I don't remember the finishing, the finishing.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
Okay, yeah, that's wrong, that's wrong. I don't know that.
That's wrong.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
That's wrong.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
That's wrong. That that might be right, that might have
been all right.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Showboard Kyle shotboard the group, but I definitely know the
finishers okay, go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (38:01):
My god, we got the mashitter.

Speaker 13 (38:05):
Wait, just realist, you really put that there?

Speaker 1 (38:08):
The finishing move we have, I don't know that.

Speaker 7 (38:11):
It's the super Bowl.

Speaker 13 (38:12):
Okay, this is like my Tyreek Hill. All right, that's
what that is. I was, okay, what is the name
of the team. Is the head Bangers?

Speaker 7 (38:22):
Well, there's moh and Thrasher. That is their names.

Speaker 13 (38:24):
I should have got really, I should have got extra
points for that.

Speaker 7 (38:26):
You know these guys.

Speaker 13 (38:27):
Yes, of course, awesome, Yes, And then I believe and
I could be wrong about this. It's something to do
with so I think it's a stage dive. I think
the finish is a stage dive. But I'm not entirely sure.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
Okay, you're back in action, buddy, Yeah, right.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Right, we got Yes, you understand that.

Speaker 13 (38:47):
You understand that we're back in the game.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
But yeah, the game yeah, yeah, yeah, magic more of
eighty five, don't Oh my god?

Speaker 4 (38:58):
All right, final question, Seth is up four to three
right now, I'm over I'm winning.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Yeah, I get a four point Yeah that was a
four point yeah, four point and two. Yeah, I don't care.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
So it's a two point play. Kyle can win on
this question five.

Speaker 7 (39:12):
This is so fun.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Closest to the pin.

Speaker 7 (39:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
The most watched video on WWE's YouTube channel is from
twenty twelve, when John Cena and Brock Lesner got into
a brawl before their Extreme Rules match. Sure, how many
times has that video been a wall?

Speaker 3 (39:25):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (39:26):
All right, Lesner's seeing a brawl?

Speaker 1 (39:28):
How many views on YouTube from twenty twelve.

Speaker 7 (39:31):
It's closest to the Yeah, So this thing's been up there.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
It's been up for thirteen years.

Speaker 7 (39:35):
It's like a pie in that window. Still, Jamie, just
sitting there and.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
You're just rifling through w W highlights. You're like, ooh,
I'm going to watch this one.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
And it just my opinion in these things, my best
strategy is to go with the symbolic number, just like
for luck or something.

Speaker 7 (39:48):
Okay, So here's what I'm gonna say.

Speaker 13 (39:50):
Oh my goodness, this is crazy. This is a crazy Okay,
all right, I'm just gonna win here.

Speaker 7 (39:58):
One of us could be wrong by two hundred millionaire. Yeah, yeah, really,
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
It's I I tipped the cap to Chicago, okay, and
I went to Michael Jordan.

Speaker 7 (40:08):
I used us the.

Speaker 13 (40:09):
Number twenty three, twenty three okay, got me ready?

Speaker 5 (40:12):
All right?

Speaker 7 (40:13):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, turn it around.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
You earned thirty million twenty three with Michael Jordan.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Get me home, Mike.

Speaker 13 (40:18):
Look, this is not like a children's YouTube situation. Here
wherever there's a billion views.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
I went less.

Speaker 5 (40:25):
I went fifty million.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Okay, okay, this is a large rampart.

Speaker 7 (40:29):
One of us is gonna be super wrong.

Speaker 3 (40:30):
Yeah, yeah, right.

Speaker 7 (40:31):
I went with Michael Jordan. I got the shoes on,
I got my Jason.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
I respect that.

Speaker 7 (40:36):
Give me all. Tell me it's not like eleven million.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Please, Jordan is the greatest basketball player to ever play.
It's two hundred and thirty three million.

Speaker 15 (40:45):
I talk.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
I can't do it, Iane within three millions. That is insane.
That is you try to be can't do it. You
show up, you run here, you walk.

Speaker 13 (41:04):
It's crazy, dude, what are you talking about?

Speaker 7 (41:10):
Michael Jordan? All right, you know this guy. We love
this guy.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
College bald Syrahcus most of his eleven NFL seusans, member
of the New York Giants.

Speaker 7 (41:22):
Longtime front of the show. We love him, We got him.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
Justin Peugh, what's up, Pugh?

Speaker 5 (41:26):
How doing?

Speaker 3 (41:27):
It's great to be here, guys. I'm I'm sad.

Speaker 14 (41:29):
I couldn't be in La but I'm here in New
York holding down the fort for us.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
I know the feeling. I know the feeling, and we
love that you're doing it. Listen, we got to get
to some closure here. You have officially now retired. You
hung him up as a member of the New York Giants.

Speaker 7 (41:43):
You've retired.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
How do you feel what's going through the head of yours?

Speaker 3 (41:47):
Feel good?

Speaker 14 (41:47):
Last year was that awkward year where I was talking
to teams, I was out doing some media. At the
end of the day, it was like, I'm not going
back to the New York Giants. I'm not going to
be a part of that organization. It was time to
hang them up. The body lets you know. And it
was time, after eleven years in the NFL and the
great memories and a lot of great people that I
cross paths with to ride off into that next career,

(42:10):
which I'm more excited about than ever.

Speaker 4 (42:12):
Justin, can you clear that up real quick, because I
actually find it fascinating. There is like a technicality to retiring.
Is it like you have to fax paperwork or something like?
How does one actually make sure that thing is signed,
sealed and delivered with the NFL, so it becomes, as
you say, official.

Speaker 14 (42:25):
Honestly, I haven't signed a thing. It was like the
player trust reached out with me. I think that's that
maybe a little fake one day, or I don't want
to give away too much of the a lord of
fans like they have to be a fie paper there.
It's more of a just a formality. I think for me,
what the most important part of this whole retirement process was, Yeah,
my daughter was there, my wife was there, my family

(42:46):
was there. Really saying thank you to them. It's been
twenty five years of you know, practices, driving me places, sacrificing,
missing weddings, missing important events.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
To be able to be there with my with my.

Speaker 14 (43:00):
Family and my daughter, who you know is a year
and a half old now, to seem to do that,
it was a very very special moment. And the New
York Giants did an amazing job for me. Can't forget
the Arizona Cardinals, where I also played. I just very
appreciated with both organizations.

Speaker 7 (43:14):
That's really cool.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
We're happy for you too, But let's talk about the
current state of the Giants. I'm sure you still hold
them near and dear.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
To your heart.

Speaker 4 (43:20):
They're currently holding a joint practice with.

Speaker 7 (43:22):
The Jets ahead of the Snoopy Bowl.

Speaker 4 (43:23):
The two teams are going to play tomorrow night at
seven pm Eastern on NFL Network. Giants quarterback situation, Russell
Wilson is the starter. However, the organization turned heads when
they jumped up and got Jackson dart in late April
in Green Bay. Does he steal this job away from
Russell Wilson prior to week one?

Speaker 14 (43:40):
No, I don't think so, And this is no pun intended.
I've always felt this way. It's all about darts on
the dark board. You want to get as many quarterbacks
in that room competing at a high level. No one
out there in the world has just nailed. But this
is how you transition from one quarterback to the next.
Aside from maybe the Green Day Packers, but we don't
know what's going on up there. I think you need

(44:01):
the most competition. Russ as a starter has been a
starter as a number one overall pick. Jackson darts in
a first rounder. All those guys at some point might
have to play. The better competition you can have. Finding
a guy that can play in New York is even
more of a quandary than anything else out there, because
it is a tougher place to play, the amount of
pressure that's on those guys.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
Russ, is your day.

Speaker 8 (44:23):
One starter, Well, somebody who we know is going to
be a day one starter as a rookie is going
to be Abdul Carter classmate, just as my classmate. We're
drafted here, yes, yes, the Giant said they're gonna take me,
and then I'm excited to sit there that the draft
and then they draft this guy named Justin Pugh.

Speaker 14 (44:41):
Don't do that, don't don't cleant your fist under the.

Speaker 7 (44:43):
Desk, whatever, whatever, whatever, classmate.

Speaker 8 (44:45):
Anyway, back to my question, So defensively, one of the
highlights of that team last year was that rush.

Speaker 7 (44:51):
You had Thibodeaux, you had Burns, had you had all
of those guys.

Speaker 8 (44:55):
Now you a somebody like Abdul Carter, I would love
to have that as.

Speaker 7 (44:58):
My defensive front.

Speaker 8 (44:58):
But from an offensive perspective, offensive lineman perspective, what type
of threat does that post to you?

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Oh, it's the best thing.

Speaker 7 (45:05):
Ever.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
When you get into the fourth quarter.

Speaker 14 (45:07):
You want closers and I said this, and I tweeted
this out. You want tuesday ors and a Tuesday or
is a guy that you turn on the film on
Tuesday when you start breaking down.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
An opponent and you're like, I gotta block him. This week, the.

Speaker 14 (45:19):
Giants have Brian Burns, who's a guy that makes you nervous.
We're forgetting Dexter Lawrence, who I think has an opportunity
to win Defensive Player of the Year this year. I
think last year, if you look at his stats and
the Giants had a better record, you're talking about Dexter Lawrence.
He is the most dominant nose tackle in football. I
went against him since he was a rookie and I
was on the team with him. He is an unblockable force.

(45:41):
Then you add an obdul Carter. Everything looks great right
now when you're looking at training camp.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
He's done a lot of great things.

Speaker 14 (45:47):
Prove it to me. When you're a rookie. He's gonna
get one on one all year long. He better win
those matchups. He better dominated. I'm expecting an amazing year
out of him. And then Keevon Thibodeau. He's becoming this
guy that everyone's kind of getting on. He was a
very high pick. He's going to have a monster year.
He's I feel on the pressure as well. When you
draft somebody, and I can give a perfect example. I

(46:08):
was a starting right tackle. We draft Eric Flowers ninth. Overall,
it makes you play better. I went on to have
a successful eleven year career, and I'm looking for that
same thing from Kayvon Tibeau to keep pushing to be dominant.
I actually want some bulletin war material for these guys, like,
prove it to me, d Line. I want to see
you prove it on Sundays because looking at the depth
chart and reading the tea leaves you look great right now.

Speaker 3 (46:29):
You're never great until you do it. You know when
the lights come on.

Speaker 7 (46:32):
Peugh, you are dealing right now.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
You sound like a professional analyst who's out of football
and is doing media. You sound incredible.

Speaker 7 (46:39):
Keep it going.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
For most of my life, my favorite football player of
all time has been Walter Payton.

Speaker 7 (46:44):
Sweetness's run is over. It's now Cam Scattaboo. If the
New York Giants the rookie running back.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
Just rep me up, Hugh, give me some stuff about scattaboy.

Speaker 7 (46:50):
Let's go. Come on.

Speaker 14 (46:52):
Hey, watching him at Arizona State. Now, I told you
I was in Arizona. So I got to be a
part of that Arizona state run this last year. Go
back to the tweets, guys, let's go got a Cam
Scataboo tweet out there. I don't know if you can
if we can dig that one up a little while,
but I tweeted Cam Scattaboo plus Tyrone Tracy would be
a one two battle that no one wants to see coming.
I really think that he can be that thunder to

(47:13):
the lightning the Giants when they had him Mount Bradshaw,
when they had Brandon Jacobs, they were a team you
didn't want to face. I need my guy, having Neil
getting in there, getting rawity on the offensive line. There's
more depth on the old line than ever. But you
kind of hit that thunder and lightning with Cam Scattaboo
and Tyrone Tracy. I'm excited for that front. You play
really good defense. The New York Giants are a team

(47:34):
you don't want to play late in the year.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
Justin before I get this next question out, I just
want to make sure the parallel is understood that the
way that Kyle feels about camp Scataboo is how I
feel about Taylor Swift, and I just want to say
her name early, so in case anybody does want to
change the channel out of rage, You're allowed to do that,
even though I don't know why people are doing that anymore.
If you didn't listen to one of the biggest podcasts
live streamed and now subsequently posted of all time, we

(47:57):
have a clip educate yourself real quick.

Speaker 15 (48:01):
I didn't know what a first down was. I didn't
know what the chains were. I didn't know what a
tight end was.

Speaker 3 (48:09):
I am forever thankful for you diving into the football world.

Speaker 15 (48:13):
Oh my god. I fell in love with it.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
I became obsessed with it.

Speaker 15 (48:15):
I became like a person who was running through the
halls of my house screaming.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
We drafted if You're worthy and were like, what is who?

Speaker 3 (48:26):
Body snatched you? This is what do you mean?

Speaker 4 (48:30):
There's also a cover two, cover zero. There's a lot
of references.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
She knows what's up.

Speaker 4 (48:34):
She also made a prediction that she was going to
be an analyst in sixteen months, which everybody should fear
for their jobs. Justin scrolling your Instagram, you had a
fascinating take about this. Would you care to share with
the crowd?

Speaker 14 (48:45):
Yeah, I think when is the last time the largest
pop star on planet Earth decided to break news on
athletes podcast. I think the way the world of media
is changing, you guys see it every single day. Athletes
have picked up the microphone and started sharing their stories,
and that's something that I'm very, very excited about it.
It's a reason that I've gotten into this business, and

(49:05):
the reason I love it so much is I like
to almost flip this on its head and make players
become fans of fans, and that's what I started doing
this year. So that was just a microcosm of where
I see a lot of this going. Taylor Swift is
the biggest name in the world and she's breaking her
album release on New Heights podcast. That's pretty impressive for
the Kelsey brothers. I mean, that's an all timer right there.

Speaker 7 (49:27):
Oh definitely.

Speaker 1 (49:27):
It felt like a real media moment for sure, and
it was entertaining as well. But if you want media
and entertaining people, you got to make lists. Just make
lists and people will lose their mind. You travel around
Thursday night football doing the tailgates, the restaurants, the food.

Speaker 7 (49:41):
You're way into it.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
And you have a list, So get ready, everybody fire
in the whole justin Peughe's top five NFL cities for food.
If you break this down of how you landed here
and what was the most controversial reaction.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
I would say Baltimore.

Speaker 14 (49:54):
I would say Baltimore being in there was everyone got
on me for when the Jimmy c food, We'll get there.
I want everyone to realize this is cities with food.
I'm not just talking stadium in foods. I'm talking about
cities in food.

Speaker 7 (50:09):
I'm a lot of surprise.

Speaker 14 (50:11):
I'm a bit biased, and number two is probably gonna
get me a lot of slack for my New Yorkers.
But I would say New York is the best food
in the world. If you like Italian food, Indian food,
Mexican food, even if you go to those places, you
come to New York, You're gonna have better food.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
That's just my opinion. Everyone's going to go crazy.

Speaker 14 (50:27):
Philadelphia, I would say, is my favorite restaurant in Planet Earth.
It's called Angelo's, the best cheese steak and the best pizza.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
Angelo's.

Speaker 14 (50:37):
You go there Thursday night at the opening night, go
get you some Angelo's. Line will be around the city block.
Baltimore Seafood crab cakes. It's what we do. Jimmy Seafood,
shout out to them. I know what heaven smells like.
And it's Kansas City tailgates with the barbecue, Joe's Barbecue,
the z Man Kansas City. I absolutely love it. It's
a barbecue place.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
I'm not.

Speaker 14 (50:57):
I didn't get too crazy, but you love a good barbecue.
And then in Miami, I got toured around by this guy,
mister three oh five Eats, and got some Cuban food.
We got some we got some pastries, and actually in
stadium Miami had some really good food. So that is
kind of how I rounded out those rankings. Now, don't
get mad at me everyone. I haven't been to Buffalo yet.

(51:18):
I haven't been to a couple of other cities I haven't.
I was out in La La Fans San Francisco fans
are gonna get on me a little bit. But I
sat some more reconnaissance to do this year.

Speaker 1 (51:29):
The nuclear take is that you just dropped is that
you can get better Indian food in New York than
in India, which is you go to a New Delhi. No,
they're chicken kick of Masalad, not as good as I'm
thirty fourth Street.

Speaker 7 (51:41):
I love that take. I don't know if India will
love it, but good morning you guys.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
Pew, you're the best. You have opinions, you have information,
apparently you have some kind of yellow kitchen or sting.
It's just all kind of up wins for you, dude.
Thank you so much. Let's get you on the show
as a host where.

Speaker 7 (51:54):
You belong soon.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
You guys are the best. I really appreciate it. I
will see you soon.

Speaker 7 (51:58):
Congrat some retirement you've earned it.
