Outrage here in New York City.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Guys, I don't want to live in a New York
City where Livvy Done is not allowed to buy Bay
Rus apartment on the Upper West Side. The co op said, no,
you're out, you can't do it, no oversharing, and she
is out.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
The Bambinos apartment still.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Vacant, and I planned to protest. This is an absolute outrage.
I'm going to be on the edge today.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I was just surprised that she wanted to be on
the Upper west Side. I would have hagged Livy Done
as a West Village kind of girl. Whatever we got
GMFB to tend to roll the open.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Just out, show me what you got, Show me what
you've got, Show me.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
What you got.
Speaker 7 (02:07):
It really feels like at the beginning of something, this
is better than expected, and now it's good.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
It's really good.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
No, we do not endure sophomore slumps here or sophomore slides.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
We just call them sophomore kings for that.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Class of quarterbacks that we were drooling over when they
got drafted. Then it was a fascinating year for them
all as rookies, and now we are here to talk
about their second season. What's up, Jamie Manti Kyle. We're
here at GMFB. We got a busy show for you today.
We got a couple of guests. We got thrown down
Thursday next hour. But we begin with a handful of
gentlemen that you just saw the sophomore Kings if you will,
(02:44):
or how can they become royalty in their second year
in the NFL? At quarterback? Shall we begin with bo Nix,
who many may have doubted when Sean Payton went up
and got him.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
To bring to Denver. Why was this going to be
a match?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Sean Payton obviously saw something that was going to work,
and it did. He's about to enter his second year, obviously,
as the Broncos started quarterback after leading the teams playoffs
for the first time in eight seasons. His teammate wide
receiver Marvin Mims Junior, sold serious XMNFL radio. With additions
like linebacker Dream three Law and safety Talahoa Hufunga and
free agency, the atmosphere around the squad feels very different.
Speaker 8 (03:20):
You can really feel that, like the times are like
changing for us, you know, and we're kind of like
people always like to say, like.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
A win now mode.
Speaker 8 (03:27):
And you know, with the way things went last year,
I mean, we were projected to be last in the
league last year end up making their wild cards. So
the guys are here last year they believe, and the
guys are coming in they want to make an impact too,
So I think everyone's hungry.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Seeing all those faces come across the screen that we
just did on the video, it does bring you back
some nostalgia for that draft class because it was a
ridiculous weekend when all these guys got drafted about fifteen
months ago. So now they are entering their second season
after seeing what we did or did not see, for example,
in the JJ McCarthy case from them last year.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
We're gonna call this sophomore jump. We're highlighting that lastlast
year round of rookie quarterbacks guys. First question, which second
year quarterback will have the biggest sophomore jump this season?
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Man, Taile, you got to pick one of those guys
on that list.
Speaker 6 (04:14):
Well, it's harder because they all did extremely well. But
to your point, JJ McCarthy didn't play last year. But
if I look at it, I'm gonna set the table
a little bit. Caleb Williams, in my opinion, will have
the biggest jump. Now, how I see Caleb Williams is
when you're the number one overall pick, there comes an
expectation and almost a hype and an expectant. This level
(04:35):
of anticipation that you're going to do something great, especially
for a team like the Bears that have really been
needing on quarterback for some time.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Now.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
Now he goes into a season, there's high expectations. He's
getting sacked a lot, his coaches aren't calling timeouts and
critical situations, some of his teammates are giving up in
the middle.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Of the play. So I think in.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
Totality for the Chicago Bears, it was a rough season.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
For them as a whole.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
But now you start looking at what can Caleb Williams
actually do with the football in his hands.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
He can improvise. He's a really good thrower of.
Speaker 6 (05:12):
The football, and you pair him with somebody like Ben Johnson.
For those of you who don't follow Ben Johnson, what
he did with Jared Goff is nothing but sort of amazing.
Jared Goff didn't throw under four thousand yards while he
was with Ben Johnson.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
So if you can't imagine.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
When you pair somebody up like Caleb Williams with somebody
like Ben Johnson, magic hug happens with those types of
parents you see across the board, with all of these
coaches that are really good quarterback coaches, it usually brings
the best out of these quarterbacks. So I expect Caleb
Williams to have a big jump. And it's not saying
that he had a bad year last year, Jamie. It's
just based on the expectations that were there for him
(05:49):
coming into the NFL. I think he fell short of
that a little bit. But knowing him and how he operates,
I think he's gonna have a big jump.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
And I don't know if he was set up to
win with that coaching staff. Let's remember that Caleb's offensive
coordinator as his four way into the league was let
go in the middle of the season. I don't feel
like they had their house in order properly last year.
I think they do now. And yet my answer is
not Caleb. My answer is Drake May. Drake May of
the Patriots. So just remember this year is to maybe
the first time that he starts Week one. He sat
(06:17):
by Jacoby Brissett for a while last year and it
probably served him well. But last year, in his rookie year,
just to tell you where Drake May is coming from,
Drake May did not have a three hundred yard game.
He did not have a pass longer than forty yards.
And now this big talent that we were all impressed
with for hanging in on a four and thirteen team
has a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator, a
new left tackle, a new wide receiver one. It's everything
(06:39):
a growing boy needs and it's all right there. I
loved what I saw from Drake May on a bad
Patriots team. I think every Patriots fan was pleased with it.
This is a fan base that's used to winning Super
Bowls and seeing their quarterback the MVP. It was a
four and thirteen team and you're like, all right, mission accomplished.
I think we have a guy who can play. And
that's before Stefan Diggs. That's before Will Campbell. And I
(07:02):
know Stefan Diggs. It's not for everybody, I said all
all the time, but if you like a guy ushering
up your quarterback from infancy to adolescens, he is for you.
I think Stefan dis is going to catch ninety balls
next year, and I think Drake May is going to
make a big jump.
Speaker 8 (07:16):
I like him.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
I like what you said, KB, And just to add
a little bit to that great segment that you had,
you said, he has a new wide receiver one. This
is his first time that he has a wide receiver
one because his number one target last year was this
tight end hunter Henry. So it's gonna be I like
where you went with that, KB. That's I just wanted
to add that little detail in there.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
All things considered, Actually, what you're both saying about Kayleb
Williams and Drake May from last season was that their
rosters maybe weren't the best, their coaching staff maybe didn't
wasn't as equip to usher these rookie quarterbacks in, and
they still clearly showed us enough for you both to
answer that. Kayleb Williams and Drake May, you guys think
could have the biggest jumps and second year quarterback. So
here we go Week one. Speaking of Kyle, you are right,
(07:57):
you and I actually we don't disagree actively on a
lot of things, but that was you and I last
year about Drake May.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
I was thinking, like he shooting start and you were like,
get him out there. I want to see what he's got.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Here comes the question week one for the second year quarterbacks,
who are you actively watching Mantai? When you look at
that Week one slate, you're like, no, if I have
one Red Zone TV, I got this one dedicated to
this guy, and that's the quarterback that you're watching.
Speaker 6 (08:20):
Well, if you look at all six guys behind us,
there's only one of them that hasn't played yet, and
it's JJ McCarthy. You mentioned that the Denver bronc was
traded up for bon Knicks. Well, the Minnesota Vikings traded
up for JJ McCarthy. So if I'm watching in Week one,
the number one guy that I want to see is
JJ McCarthy versus the Bears. I think it's a great
way for him to start his NFL career. They traded
(08:42):
up for him, and I want to see, is this
who you let Sam Donald go for? Is this who
you didn't keep Kirk Cousins for? Is this the reason
why you didn't draft a quarterback in this NFL draft
this year? It's almost like kill Munger KB from from
Black Panthers, Like is this your king?
Speaker 8 (09:01):
Like?
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Is this your guy? Is this where you're putting all
your chip on?
Speaker 6 (09:04):
That's what I really want to see in week once,
and my eyes are going to be fixed to my
TV when I watch JJ McCarthy, and I really anticipate
this guy doing extremely well. The package that he is
going into the situation that he's going into over there
at Minnesota. I mean, I don't see any weaknesses with
the office. You have a Hawkinson, you have JJ, you
have Sernadison, you have Aaron Jones. Like you couldn't go
(09:28):
into a better situation. Oh, by the way, you have
Kevin O'Connell. So I'm really excited to watch him and
my eyes are going to be fixed on him.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
It's a great answer. He's one of the most pivotal
players in this entire season. We really don't know.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
I think we're all encouraged and optimistic, but he may
not have it.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
He may have jitters. We have no idea. But I
go to the same game, like I'm looking at week one, Caleb,
this is a fantastic game, guys, Vikings at Bears. It's
a different deal. We have this mystery about JJ. But
now there is something that Caleb deals with differently in
year two, which is expectations. Year one, it was just basically,
oh my god, survive. Your coordinator gets fired, your head
(10:05):
coach gets fired. Just try to stay on your feet.
Now it's like, all right, Caleb, win. They have to
win that game. That is the Bears home opener. It
is a Monday Night is at Soldier Field. The last
time Bears fans saw Caleb, he was going to Lambeau
and winning. And there's none of this. All right, it's
a rookie. Let's just take care of him and make
sure he doesn't get hurt. Now, it's like, no, no, no,
no no. We have given you every toy in the
(10:27):
toys r us to play with. You go and play
well with them, Caleb, You go and beat the Vikings.
Imagine a scenario in which the Bears season with Ben
Johnson starts with a nationally televised home loss to JJ
McCarthy in his very first big time game. You can't
have that. That's a massively disappointment Week one loss for
(10:49):
the Bears fans who think they're going to be the
bell of the ball.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I gotta watch Caleb.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
He needs to outperform JJ. He needs outperform expectations. This
is the beginning of a lot of big things in Chicago.
It's not just the JJ McCarthy debut. It's Caleb. It's
Ben Johnson, it's the first round tight end they drafted lovely,
It's so many things. Caleb show up, show out, social
field watching Kyle.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Having grown up in Chicago and you have all your
high schooluddies from back there, you're tapped in with the
Bears fan market. There was a unkey awkward quotes that
came out like six or eight weeks ago about how
Caleb thought he was trying to interview to go to
Minnesota but he ends up getting drafted to Chicago, and
he smoothed that stuff out, But that doesn't mean that
the fans didn't interpret it a certain way. I have
(11:31):
to imagine that Caleb potentially is also playing to a
point where he's trying to show once again this city,
this fan base, like I am your guy, and I'm
just as committed to being here no matter what awkward
quote in the book is said about me. What are
like the local guys have to say about this local
Chicago fans?
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Well, if you want to just talk about bad Bears quarterbacks,
just ask Bears fans.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
I'm not on a single text chain in which anybody
was offended or clutched a single pearl about Caleb saying
I'm not.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
Necessarily sure I want to go to Chicago.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
I'm a quarterback. Everyone was like, yeah, of course, we
get it. I wouldn't want to come here either. It's
been terrible. I totally understand what you mean. I think
it actually made him more relatable for me. I was
not at all triggered or defensive whatsoever. I was like Caleb, like,
I can't tell you I would want to come here
either if I was you and my dad was running
the show and I was making millions in Nil, I'm
(12:23):
not going to Chicago. But I think he has learned
about the city. I think he has learned about this,
the atmosphere, and honestly, like he gets here and his
head coaches is Matt Eberflus's the offensive coordinator Shane Walter,
and they're both fired. I mean, it's it was a
ridiculous rookie year. He was kind of right, but then
all they've done is surrounding with pieces so far. I
just listen. The McCarthy thing is fascinating too. The McCarthy's
(12:45):
schedule deal is amazing because JJ McCarthy's season that we're
all waiting to see. His first two games are national television, right,
that's a pretty big deal. He plays against Caleb and
then Penix in week two, so it's like right out
of the gate. You're going against your peers against which
you're going to be measured for your whole career. So
JJ goes, there's no like little warm up game where
(13:07):
you play such and such team that nobody cares about.
It is right into the guys there you're going to
be compared to. Because I think that's really cool.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
The sophomore Kings, the sophomore Kings.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Right.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Manta keeps referencing this wall behind us like it is
a crazy group and.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
List of quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
And one of the plays that we saw last year
was the Hail mary the Hale Maryland, whatever you want
to call it from jayde Daniels easily in that rookie class,
the most memorable play for those guys in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Let's spin the ball forward.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Second year quarterback on our list that you think will
have the most memorable play in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Look at that thing. I can't stop look. I'm salivating
over that list.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
That's a great list. What's a great list of just quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (13:45):
We're lucky as NFL fans that we get to see
these six quarterbacks suit up in the NFL for years
to come. Now, you could look at this list, and
which one is going to have one of.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Those wild plays. Jade and Daniels had a lot of
them last year, But I got to go back to Caleb.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
I got to go back to Caleb because his ability
to improvise. I think when you're able to improvide the
way that he does, and then you're also able to
throw the ball with your body in all sorts of
weird angles, it's almost like Patrick Mahomes. How many times
have we seen Patrick Mahomes throw the ball when his
body is parallel to the ground.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
His ability to create things.
Speaker 6 (14:19):
Now, you take Caleb and you put it with a
man named Ben Johnson who rant all of these trick
plays last year, not only with receivers and running backs,
but you have Jared Goff catching touchdown passes. You have
Jared Goff stumbling out from under center and throwing touchdown
like there are so many highlight plays that Ben Johnson
(14:41):
created for his team and for Jared Goff that now
you put that with somebody like Caleb Williams, and that's
just something I think we're going to talk about a
lot on this show, Jamie, for this entire year, is
what type of what type of trick plays are coming
out of Chicago now, and that's something that I'm watched for.
So I think Caleb is going to have one of those.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Yeah, Caleb has the strongest arm of any of those
guys in my opinion. And let's remember, even though that
looks like this amazing crew that we've now seen most
of them play a year of football, there really was
not a debate like Caleb was the guy that Caleb
was the guy who's gonna go number one. As much
as we love now Nix and May and all of them,
Caleb was looked at as the consensus one. I don't
remember us having a lot of debates about who should
(15:21):
go number one, and the Bears made up their mind
really quick. And yet, for this question, which I think
is a fun one most memorable play, I'm gonna go curveball.
I'm gonna say Pennix in Atlanta for a bunch of
different reasons. First of all, this kind of surprised me.
The Atlanta Falcons are like all over primetime this year.
They have five primetime games to make a truly memorable play,
(15:43):
It's hard to do it in that one o'clock window.
I mean, I'm thinking about Odell's one handed catch and
all different kinds of highlights. Unless you're like say Kuon
jumping over somebody backwards, it's hard to make a timeless
highlight that's not in the bright lights. They're gonna be
a lot. And I wouldn't have thought the Falcons, but
they are also like call me petty, I like a
left handed I think it's really cool. I think it
(16:06):
looks different. I think Steve Young, Michael Vick, any of
those Boomersyasin rather like I think some of them. Something
just sticks out about it. It looks different. And I'm
looking at that guy right there, Drake London. I was
watching Quarterback on Netflix last night, and I was watching
Kirk Cousins make a game winning drive against the Eagles
in Week two to beat the Super Bowl champs, and
he hits London and the corner of the end zone
(16:26):
and London looks so good and so big, and he
shakes Darius Slay on this route in the red zone
for the game winning touchdown. I feel like there's gonna
be a Penix to London highlight that just blows our
mind in prime time left handed throw. I don't know.
I'm into the aesthetics of it. But I just feel
like there's gonna be something that comes out of Atlanta
(16:47):
this year from Pennix.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I totally agree, Kyle, And it reminds me too of
like when we used to flip two as game film
and you're like, now it looks correct because we're seeing
a right handed thrower. It doesn't matter the left handed
little chef's kiss. Part of that would make it fantastic.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
The player that I have is Coleridge Bernard Strong, the
four CJ shrup Strap.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
I try to get creative, and it's screwed my hotache.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
For those mistakes. Everything that you got, Bro is there
you already Bro.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
I'm really excited about the a f C West, and
I'm especially excited about the La the La, the Las
Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
I gotta get it together.
Speaker 6 (17:25):
For some reason, half of the team at a stick
restaurant order a stuffed chicken breast.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Why would you order that? That's kind of like the
Detroit Lions.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
There's analytics that tell dan Quinn, dan Quinn, it's four down,
you should punt the bars. Now I'm going to go
for it. Dan Quinn, it's four down, you should kick
the field goal. Now I'm gonna I'm gonna go for it.
I'm gonna try to a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Dan Quinn is like the guy at Dan Quinn, Dan Campbell.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
It's like the guy geez, I got the stuff chicken
breast nice?
Speaker 3 (17:56):
You're all right, all right, yep, Okay, I'll be damned
love that right now.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
I'll be danned because you just couldn't get it together yesterday.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
So here we are.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
We're playing trivia based on Dan's or Daniels important clarification
in the NFL. I will be hosting this segment and
it's all on the basis of mantids. Couldn't lock in yesterday,
so lock in now, my friend. First question, which Dan
holds the rookie record for games with four or more
(18:28):
passing touchdowns against zero interceptions.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Keep in mind they were a rookie, they threw four
or more and no picks, and they did this multiple times.
Who has the record?
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Is it a Daniel Jones, b Danny White, see Dan
Marino or d Dan Bouts. Please for clarification purposes, write
the entire name of the player and then show us
your answer on your board.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Got it? Okay? Okay?
Speaker 2 (18:58):
So confused?
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Well, Daniel Jones did come in and he play really well,
k Or, but that's just some really gaudy stats right there,
and I have to just go with the get the
ball on the fairway. Marino as a rookie was unbelievably incredible,
So I will say Dan Marino. I don't know the
nuances of those stats, but I know he was great.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
So I'll go with that. Okay, Am I going to yep? Okay,
fill your board.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
I this is you versus me, buddy, uh huh.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
I'm gonna go the same thing there. So I didn't
put Dad Marino on first because obviously I said CJ.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
Strong instead of C J. Stroud.
Speaker 6 (19:32):
I didn't want to misspell his name. But I too
think it's going to be Dad Marino. I chose Dad
Marino yesterday on my triplet and because of that, I
had a little bit of research, and I think that.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Is going to be Dad.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Okay, it's great guesses for both. Unfortunately you are both incorrect. Hey,
Daniel Jones, what it is Daniel Jones?
Speaker 3 (19:52):
And if I have it correct?
Speaker 2 (19:54):
According to giants dot Com, only three times in NFL
history has a rookie quarterback thrown for at least three
hundredards and name with four touchdown passes and no picks.
Two of those were by Daniel Jones and his rookie season.
So three times it's happened before in the NFL, but
twice Daniel Jones did it, and so that must record.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
Yep, respect Daniel Jones. Yet we were.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Calling him Danny dimes On ironically, like we were like,
this guy is incredible, and I know the stocks a
little down right now. It's not a bounce back, but
he was really good then.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Yeah, absolutely, all right, Yeah, I was on the same
tight fairway for you, Kyle, and unfortunately you did shank it.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Question two, I'm in the woods like usual.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Who is the only Dan to.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Lead the NFL in scrimmage touchdowns in a season? She's
an h touchdown Danny Amandola, see Daniel Graham, see Danny
Woodhead or d Dan Reeves.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Okay, so this player had you go.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
First man, Yeah, I got you in scrimmage touchdowns. Okay.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
So when I when I read this question, it says
from scrimmage, right, so it doesn't necessarily mean run, it
doesn't necessarily mean pass. But there's somebody on there who
I played with Danny Wood head for three or four
years with the Chargers. That did both one of the
hardest guys siguard out of the backfield. And so I'm
(21:21):
gonna go see Danny Wood had not only with this
time with the Patriots, but also how it utilized him
with the Chargers. So shout out to Danny Wood, hid,
I got sea.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
So they all, it's only you only have to be
better than all the other Dans.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Yes, right, So in other words, like uh, all right,
so because I'm like Amondola, those guys didn't lead the league,
and I'm like, no, just the dance. I'm gonna take
a flyer in this one because the staff got cute
with the first one and they tried to tempt us
with Dan Marino, you know, mostly as a coach, but
Dan Reeves was a player back in.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
The day, and he was a player.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I think he played for the Cowboys. So I'm gonna say,
Dan Reeves, who went on to be a very successful coach,
did he lead the Dans in touchdowns Jamie when.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
He played for the Cowboys from sixty five to seventy two.
Dan Reeves did indeed lead the NFL instrumage touchdowns and
ill season. It only takes Kyle Brant a single question
to suss out how the production staff can try to
get cute.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
And Kyle Brandt, you nailed it.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Please walk us through this old footage with the goalpost
in the middle of the end.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah, but you don't see Dan Reeves much as a
player again, fantastic coach of course, with Denver John out
weigh in all those years and so many stops, like
just a really respected guy. But he was such a
good coach, you don't get to see him running the
ball around very much. And Jamie, you couldn't be more right.
I know pretty good NFL history. I'm excellent annoying the
(22:46):
GMFB staff and their snarkiness. So I'm just reading this
thing like a book and look at Dan Reeves cut
it back against Washington. I love this footage.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
It's perfect well done. Right, Kyle's up one.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Nothing is going to become my new official thing that
I get to read on live television, So bear with
us everything, all right? Who said the following quote in
reference to being told their team is far away from you?
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
I was like, hey, bleep you, that's not how it's
going to go down.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
It wasn't disrespect, it was dismissiveness, and I felt some
kind of way about it.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
It was we're going to be a lot better.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Than we just showed today, and eventually we'll show that.
So not to prove it to everybody else or underdog stories.
It's how we got down.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Okan got some options here. Everybody?
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Is it a Dan Campbell, B Dan Quinn, see Daniel
LaRusso or d Dan Morgan? Jeez, When his team was
told that they were far from far away from being contenders,
you go.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
First, KB.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Why do I would Daniel LaRusso from the Karate Kid
be in the NFL. I don't think of any other
Dan's what are we doing here? Dan Morgan would talk
like that, here's what I'm going to say. I feel
good about this one. But mat Tai, I don't want
you to copy my answer. You go forday, I think no,
but you can just I think it's Dan Quinn because
(24:13):
I think that the F bomb was inserted to try
to make us think it's Dan Campbell.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
But Dan Quinn also will go that route, and I think.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
It's Dan Quinn, who's a passionate guy.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
See, I like Dan Quinn and dan Quinn to me, though,
he just doesn't seem like somebody who publicly drops would
drop a bomb like that. But Dan Campbell is when
he has no filter, and that's what I love about
Dan Campbell. So the guy that I was calling dan
Quinn yesterday, I think that it's Dan Campbell. That's why
I'm going with Jamie.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Okay. Unfortunately, the clarification that you needed yesterday continues in
this question today because Kyle.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Is right, that is Dan Quinn and it is not
Dan Campbell. And I believe we have the sound, so
let's listen to Dan Quinn.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
And I was like, hey, if you you know, like,
that's not how it's going to go down. And I
was upset, but it wasn't disrespect. It was dismissiveness, and
I felt some kind of way, but it didn't motivate
me more to say my self censor Like, wasn't disrespect.
(25:20):
It was we're going to be a lot better than
what we just showed.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
To I'm still confused, Jamie, why Daniel Larusso's on, Who's
going to be on the next one?
Speaker 4 (25:28):
Dan Ackroyd? What are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Daniel day Lewis, Daniel rad we.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Are just dipping our toe back in for Kyle, don't
just denigrate the staff.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
The next one's Danny DeVito. I'll blind answer it.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Go ahead, Okay, Kyle's not too right, and man tais
got you say?
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Okay, well I also have my board. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Question for which of these dans completed eighty percent of
their passes and had over three hundred yards in the game. Oh,
going up against a Bill Belichick defense, Bill Belichick defense today,
Dan Marino, Dan Fouts, see Dan Orlovsky or d Danny White.
Speaker 6 (26:15):
Okay, So I'm gonna try to utilize kb's logic. Logic, okay,
and I think when you they think they know me, right,
and they think that when I when I think of
Bill Belichick, I think of Patriots Bill Belichick. But Bill
had a long career and I know that it most
likely cross with this guy Dan Marino.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
So I'm gonna go with Dan Marino. I'm not gonna
go Dan Faults Orlovsky. I'm gonna go with Dan Marino. KB.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Come on, bro, all right, yeah, because I think your
your instincts are right, man side. It's not Patriots Belichick
they're talking about it's either Brown's Belichick or more likely
New York Giants defensive coordinator Bill Belichick, which would take
us all the way back to the eighties. I think
Orlovsky's out. I think it's too late for foul, and
(27:04):
Marino's the shiny answer. So I'm gonna say this. It's meta.
The whiteboard and the white boy say white. That's why
I'm gonna say, Danny White.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
It's perfect. You are both wrong.
Speaker 7 (27:17):
No, it is.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
On On December fourth, twenty.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Eleven, Dan Arlovsky led Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Were playing the New England Patriots.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Arlovsky went for three point fifty three and completed party
of thirty seven, which night makes it a nice round
number of eighty one percent completion. He had two touchdowns
and an interception.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Danilovsky, everybody, come on, guys, Dan, I'm sorry we didn't
know this.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Dan.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
I should have remembered this game, and you should have
gone and celebrated a colony grill with some thin crossed pizza.
Amazing job, Dan. You should do a film breakdown on
it wherever you are. I didn't know this happened, Looking, Brady,
look a good job. Dan's like, yeah, that was pretty good. Awesome.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
I love this sall all right? Last question on the
I gotta get a point. Give me on the board. Jay.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Of course, the origination of this is you not being Jamie.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Make this worth three?
Speaker 3 (28:12):
All right?
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Perfect because it is three nothing Kyle against Manti zero. Actually,
don't make it four because then he could beat you
on the buzzer.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Wait wait, wait wait wait wait wait wait great great
great three zero.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Yeah, you haven't gotten a point. Oh shnah, this last
question before last one.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
On November twelfth, nineteen ninety five, four years old, all right,
and a loss against the Patriots, Dan Marino broke fran
Parkinson's all time passing yardage record forty seven thousand and
three yards. What was the highest grossing movie in November
of nineteen ninety five?
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Guys? Come on? This is like a la guys, all right,
you come on nineteen ninety five.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
A toy story, B GoldenEye, see ace Ventura, when Nature Calls.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
When Nature calls?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
Got to clarify, or d water World.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
We're not trying to trick you. All those movies did
come out in ninety five.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
I just need you to pick the.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Highest grossing film in November of ninety five.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
You emphasized of November on that one. Huh. Okay, this
is what I'm gonna do. Okay, just because, just just
just because.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
All right, it's for four anti, this for the Wind
or for the film.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Okay, just because, just because in our first segment we saw.
Speaker 6 (29:24):
We saw a great throw in some water and an
acrobatic catch in some water. I'm gonna go at D
water World. I actually saw the movie. I thought it
was actually really cool. Made me want to live on
the water someday. So I'm gonna go D for my
game winning last point wins the D water World.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
That's what I'm for the Wind. Here's where I'm at.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I think Golden I came out in December of ninety five.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
I do, I really do. That's how weird my brain is.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
I don't think it's D. I think it's either A
or C. I saw both of them in the theater.
Toy Story was a bigger hit. Was that out in November?
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Damn?
Speaker 1 (30:10):
I'll go here. Here's what I'm gonna do, Jamie, because
I'm thinking the producer is gonna want to have the
payoff picture of the movie. What would be a more
satisfying payoff picture? I think it's going to be.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Like a glove.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
I think it's ace Ventura when nature calls him.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
I right, take us to break gimt b. He's right.
Everybody he wins.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Yes, nobody beatswelaw. Nobody can beat me in that. It's
just like.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
My house? Is this really hazy? Guys?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Come on, yeah, you said nineteen ninety five?
Speaker 4 (30:50):
I was four years old. I'm watching Barney about that. Guys.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
Look that's KB right now.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
That's his stellup. That's KB.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
He did the one Brady Wall.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Anybody out there can't beat me in stupid nineteen nineties
move too.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
We should rename this segment.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
That's what this is.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
Very dang.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Come on, Eli, Manny has one of the greatest personalities.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
He's hilarious.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
If I could just take him and put him in
a show today, he would fit without acting at all,
fit the office.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
That's actually a really what a chast of NFL people together, kids,
segment tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Don't utter the words this could be a segment up
in this place this time of year, because it will
immediately become a segment. They will jump on it. It's
like chumming the water for sharks. They are just attracted
to it our staff. So guess what we're doing a
segment called flip the Script where we are picking famous
TV shows or beloved shows and recasting them with NFL players.
(31:56):
It's happening, and man, Tito, you're about to make it happen.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
What is your show and who is your cast?
Speaker 6 (32:02):
I'm in this whole little mood right now because I
just lost. So it's a perfect, perfect show. KB the
show that I got. It's one of my favorites, Peaky Blinders.
If you haven't seen peakyl I love it is probably
one of the best shows ever watched.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
Anyway.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
One of the main characters is Thomas Shelby. He's like
this cool, under pressure but the general. He's a leader
of their whole gang. When I look at Thomas Shelby,
I think of Jalen Hurts. How he's never rattled. He's
a leader, he's always locked in. Then you go to
Arthur Shelby, his brother. Now Arthur is a little more wild.
Arthur is a guy that he has no filter. He
(32:38):
can go to zero to one hundred very very quick.
The guy who I compare him to is Max Crosby.
You don't have the name Matt Max for any type
of reason. Next is one of my favorite characters, Alfie Simmons.
Now Alfie as a leader of a Jewish gang.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
And it doesn't it. I don't think it gets.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
Any better than having somebody like Jordan Mailatta who not
only has that Australian accent that Tom Hardy has, but
he also has the ability to become from go to
it funny to very very angry really really quick. And last,
but not least, I have Michael Shelby. Now Michael Shelby
is the nephew of Thomas and Arthur Shelby. Now Michael
is very very educated, he seems very articulate, but then
(33:17):
later in the show, ambition gets him and he starts
to think that, hey man, I'm gonna take I'm gonna
take Thomas Shelby out. It's kind of like bone Nicks
in this AFC West division, where Patrick Mahomes has been
the king and the leader of this whole thing for
so long that now bone Nick is like, man, it's
my time, so.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Great Pegy blind see Myers. A couple seasons of that.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Right couple, I got the eight eight or something like that.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
I would say I rewatched a favorite show of mine
in the last month of my life. I have been
rewatching Law and Order SVU for the last like six
months of my life.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
So here we go, ready.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Olivia Benson is one of the longest standing characters on
NBC and while the Ding Ding Ding NBC tune is
very familiar to everybody, so.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Is the boom boom at the beginning of the SVU.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
There is a long standing character and Detective Olivia Benson
nay sergeant now Mike Tomlin, long one of the longest
standing head coaches in the NFL. They are both dedicated.
They cut to the chase, They are loyal to a
fault to some of their people. Sometimes there you go
Mike Tomlin and Olivia eventsen next.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
She was partner for a long time with Elliott.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Stabler, as was Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger in their
fifteen seasons together. People love the partnership, and then Elliott
Stabler had to move on. She pops up from time
to time and their relationship has recovered, but she had
to move on to a new partner. There's another character though,
that has been on the show for just as long
as that has been to Tuola, and there's Cam Hayward, right,
(34:38):
he's in his fifteenth season with Pittsburgh. We're doing an
entire Law and Order SPU cass in Pittsburgh, which means
that when she moved on from Elliott Stabler to her
new partners in Amanda Rollins, TJ. Watt has been there
for a long time as well. Amanda Rollins is from Georgia.
She's got an attitude. She is also kind of a
noble mindset, and she gets the job done, as does Watt,
(34:59):
who has partnered oftentimes Amanda Rollins with Detective Coreesy, and
that's Alex Smith.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
These two have been together defensively for quite some time.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Detective Creasy, however, has went from being a detective to
law school to become an attorney. He is now the
assistant dictrict attorney on the show, and the adas on
that show, there have been so many Sometimes you see
him for six seasons, sometimes you see him for one episode,
and that.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Is Aaron Rodgers. What kind of assistant.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
District attorney is Aaron Rodgers going to be? In my
version of Law and Order SVU. Sometimes they get along
with Olivia Benson, sometimes they don't. We will see in
the Pittsburgh Steelers version of Lawn Order SVU Kyle Brandt.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
Nicely done, Jamie.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
I just hope Amanda Rollins doesn't get traded over to
the CSI team, you know what I mean. There's all
kinds of disputes right now that are going on.
