Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Welcome, Welcome to Good Morning Football. For some of my
hot fuds. Thursday August, we have a table full here
in Los Angeles. Seth Rollins is inspecting his coffee coffee
cup to make sure the brand is on point. Thank
you for showing the good Morning Football logo, Anti Tao,
Kyle Brand, Jimmy Arl and like I said, Seth freaking Rollins.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Kyle's an embrace.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Seth wearing the loudest sweater I've ever seen in my life.
It's all happening in the belt at a table.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
Yes, people, you'd like to say about the Lombardi Trophy,
It's very heavy.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
That belt is shockingly.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Heavy when you hold and you know that because you
beat him in trivia last.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
So right, if you watch the trivia segment, you know
what happened if you didn't go back and look at it.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
We have all kinds of fun stuff coming up this.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Segment, this segment, this hour, this day, this era, including
more competition, more belt, more muggy for the camera. It's
Good Morning Football with sucks and football right now.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Welcome to Good Morning Football, present it by that's right.
What's up everybody aty Thursday, Manti Seth Kyle, Jamie Kyle.
I'm so glad for you that your anger Uns jacket
fits underneath your shoulder brace.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
It does, yes, snug, It's beautiful, it's comfortable.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Plus it hides all the sweat that's cascading down my
torso right now, I'm having a rough morning.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
That's disgusting. Yeah it is.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I look like you at SummerSlam man, like just.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
I didn't break it at Summerset.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Oh god. Anyway, Yeah, I feel fine.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
The last time we referenced you on the show, you
were coming off of quite the celebratory weekend, but it
didn't come without its drama. You went as far as
to tell one of our own show producers a man
in which to produces you on the show when you come,
Chris McLean prepares you to perform on this show. Yet
when you saw him at the gym in Los Angeles,
you have your knee brace song, you lied to his face,
(02:09):
and then you still was able to pull off the
greatest rules of the century the century.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
That's part of the deal, all right.
Speaker 7 (02:15):
I love him, I respect him, got all the appreciation
for what he does in the world.
Speaker 6 (02:19):
He is not in the inner circle.
Speaker 7 (02:21):
He can't know my oracle, Paul Hayman, my wife, the
Great Becky Lynch. Only two people and my daughter. My
daughter news tried to give the whole thing up, tried
to sell me out to the school teacher. Absolutely, she
almost ruined the whole thing. I had to sit her down,
teacher about KFA perfect TRIPLEH.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Not in the inner circle.
Speaker 6 (02:40):
You know that's he might have known.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
All right, Well, like we said, jam packed out, we're
going to start with Throwdown Thursday. What is our expertise
on boy bands? You're about to find out. But first
the NFL's one hundred and sixties and begins with the
Leeds annual primetime kickoff game. It's three weeks from tonight,
as the defending Super Bowl champions hosts the Dallas Cowboys
in that timeframe. Yesterday, Dallas owner Jerry Owns was asked
(03:05):
if talks will pick up with Micah Parsons, who's seeking
a new contract to see the guy by week one.
Speaker 8 (03:14):
I don't know that necessarily talks will, but we've got
a game coming and he's under contract.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
Is there a deadline to know whether Michael Parsons plans
to play in Week one or not.
Speaker 8 (03:25):
No, not at all. I mean you don't have deadlines
when you're playing under our contract.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
All right.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
So there's Micah Parsons and there's Terry McLaurin. It's a
couple of stars in the NFC East that are seeking
new deals. Throw it on for there's a topic number one.
Who's more critical to their team's success. Is it Terry
McLaurin with the Commanders and their offense or Micah Parsons
on defense for the Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
Well, it's a good one, Jamie. This is a good one.
Speaker 9 (03:48):
I got to go based on our conversations at this
table with Terry McLaurin. And the reason why is because
Terry McLaurin is so important to Jayden Daniels, who is
the Commanders, who is the most important person for the Commanders.
If you look at his target share, he had a
one hundred than seventeen targets last year.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
The next one was zach Ertz with ninety one.
Speaker 9 (04:08):
The next receiver, guys he plays for another team. The
only available receiver that has targets as Noel Brown with
fifty six seventeen to fifty six, like that's the target
shared difference. Yeah, that is going to be the difference
for Jada and Daniels to have his number one guy
there in tern McLaurin.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
So I got to go with Scary Terry.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
You know, I respect the answer. I thought about going
with Scary.
Speaker 7 (04:31):
Terry as well, but our contrary and I'm going to
go on the opposite end of the spectrum here. And look,
I think the Commanders they added a nice weapon for
Jade Daniels in the offseason. If I'm not mistaken, from
San Francisco to Amae, like you're gonna be able, He's
gonna get.
Speaker 6 (04:44):
Some touches there in Washington.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
MIKEH.
Speaker 7 (04:47):
Parsons is a beast on that line. There is a
reason these age rushers want to get paid what they
get paid because the effect they have on a football game.
If you can wreak havoc in a backfield, you change
the whole dynamic of a football game. Even if you
could just draw the attention that a Micah Parson's draws
(05:10):
from that offensive line from a scheme, you have to
plan for this dude at all times. All credit to
Terry McLaurin. He's not a guy that you that's going
to change your game plan. Michael Parsons will do that
from the Dallas Cowboys, and look, Dallas Cowboys, they need
any healthy game.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
They helped.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Why when when many mentioned Commanders wide receiver for Noah Brown,
did you wins?
Speaker 5 (05:32):
It pains me? Who?
Speaker 6 (05:35):
Yeah, you mind the people you mentioned the Hail Mary game.
I was at the Hail Merry game.
Speaker 7 (05:39):
Look, we got Commanders on the schedule this season in
DC to get that game. That's a revenge game for
Chicago Bears.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
Okay, I was in d C.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
I was in the box.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
I almost collapsed. That was the end of me. There's
you can see it. It's almost the one.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
When he went out in the field and it's the
curdy guy made you go back in?
Speaker 5 (05:55):
Or was that a different No?
Speaker 7 (05:56):
No, no, no, no, that was any and after. Yeah,
there's a lot of chaos this one. There's some kids
were filming me from underneath. They did judge the initial
faint that they caught me coming to coming up over
the guardrail with my eyes.
Speaker 6 (06:10):
Like, oh yeah, that's going through Oh god, you didn't.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
Even think it was possible. Look, the man's chucking it
from a thirty five yard line.
Speaker 6 (06:18):
No chance and then all.
Speaker 7 (06:20):
The cleanest tail Mary you never seed in your life,
the cleanest.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Oh my god. I was disgusted.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
I was. I was in I was in a box
full of commanders fans. Wasn't even allowed to wear my
Bears Jersey, had to have my shirt on underneath my
regular shirt.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
I was.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
We were jazzed up. Cayleb brought the team back in
the fi bism first half. I was like, oh, we
got this, we got.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
We won one game that started at ten game. That
was the end.
Speaker 8 (06:46):
That was it.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
It was all downhill from that. We lost two head
coaches and with chaos and.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
It reignited people's reason to run the hail Mary time
like that, Like we'll see it worked there.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
This is why, you know, Yeah, I ansked the question
quick quickly. I think it's McLaurin two the same reason
as Manti. He's a part of Jayden Jaden is the
whole future.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Would also, you know what the take is against against
Parsons is that like they're like his production is not
that great.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
He's not been great in those playoff games that the
Cowboys always lose. Trade him get a bunch of picks.
I don't agree with that but I'll tell you this,
what's Terry scary? Scary Terry Gary? Terry was awesome the
playoffs last year, scored touch on every single game.
Speaker 5 (07:23):
I'll go with McLaurin.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Now here's a question about scary Terry though, is like
people will often say when trying to answer this question,
is that Terry McLaurin like their heart and soul. He
just feels like he is Washington. He is the Commanders
because he's been so much a part of the bad
times and the good that they would feel uncomfortable about
seeing Terry McLaurin in another Jersey. Would you feel like
that if Michael Parsons showed up in a Bronco's helmet
or in a Bear's helmet, would that make you? Would
(07:46):
that be strange the way people have likened it to
Terry playing for a different team.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Yeah, that'd be strange.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
But listen, like I'm the old head here, Like I
remember when Reggie White went to the Packers and he
was like the best pass rusher of all time and
it still happens. But listen, Terry McLaurin is like, it's
like perfect for Washington. He's like one of the founding fathers.
But you know he's also as old as one of them,
So like that's the way they don't want to pay him.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
Let's call it.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
He hasn't a deal yet, right.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
That's the kind of take that keeps it real for
Kyle on the streets of New York, which he took
to earlier this week to ask the people a very
important question, a question that he himself found very challenging.
So he went and asked strangers about it. Who will
win more games? Jets or Giants? Seth quick, who do
you think will win.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
More Jets or Giants? Jets? Jets?
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Immediate answer, Yeah, I like you.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
So we're going to take this out to the West
coast because Manti was quite annoyed that we couldn't do this. Yere,
Who's going to win more games this season? Rams are Chargers?
You got to answer fast and your reason this.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
I got the Rams. I got the Rams.
Speaker 9 (08:49):
And the reason why I got the Rams it has
nothing to do with the weapons that these two teams have,
because they do have weapons.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
It's about who they play. So the Rams play the
a f C South and NFC South, both of those divisions.
Speaker 9 (09:00):
I think there's there's probably one team that everybody knows,
and then the other three were I'm hoping that.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
They do well.
Speaker 9 (09:05):
As far as the Chargers, they're already in the AFC West,
you have to go through the Broncos, you have to
go to the Chiefs. There's a lot of talk about
the Chiefs offense, but the defense is what's carried them
throughout every season for the past five years. You got
to pick Carrol led Raiders, and then you have to
go through the NFC East, and we already know.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
Those defenses there in the NFC East. So guys, I
got to go with the La Rams as that team.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
For me, So I can't I can't even be a
contrary on that one Ram Ram. Yeah, just for the
division they playing alone, I mean that's a lots rough
for me. I mean, the Raiders might be, you know,
a to no situation for the Chargers, but after that,
it's going to be real difficult, I think, and and.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
I do agree.
Speaker 7 (09:42):
The schedule, just it's tougher for me. And look, I
love Justin Herbert, but I'm not sold on them. I
am sold on Matt Stafford. I thought that Rams defense
came along really well last season. I think they're gonna
better as long as they stay healthy. I don't know Rams.
For me, I think they're gonna be a tough team
this year.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
I'm gonna go with to the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Rams quarterbacks back is messed up. It's getting kind of weird.
Speaker 5 (09:59):
It's getting late.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Like I've said, my concern for Matthew Stafford is now
August fourteenth.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Still got time. But like, okay, so the Chargers lost
Slater than tackle. That's a huge injury.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
It's not as big as that guy walking around in
a T shirt. I believe in Jim Harbaugh. Look, Harbor
and McVeigh I think are two top five coaches in
the entire NFL.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
This is a great question. I'll pushed.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
I'll go Chargers.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
I think that maybe Stafford's played his best football and
he's injured, whereas Herbert is still ascending.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
I'll ride on that thing.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
What about what Seth brought up the AFC West because
of what happened to the Chiefs last season?
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Is it right for the taking?
Speaker 2 (10:29):
The Broncos are getting better, the Raiders have improved, Like,
what do you think about the Chargers surviving within that pool?
Speaker 5 (10:34):
It's tough, but that's why the Jim Harbaugh.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Yeah, I mean like that's he came to beat the
Chiefs and now Pete's back with the Raiders. Like it's
the most interesting division. Those four head coaches are so hilarious.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
I've never seen it.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Can you imagine Kaydon Harbaugh read Yeah, Carol, I've never.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Seen a division like that.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
That's sat.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
I think it's it's like four Hall of Fame coaches
in one dosion at the same time. It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
It's actually, I believe to be the first division ever
to have coaches that have appeared in a Super.
Speaker 6 (11:00):
Bowl all of the Yeah division.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
All four.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
I'm going to do a piece on I'm going to.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
A couple of weeks where and over five days, I'm
going to span the decades that those four coaches have
bit in football and do these like crazy mile markers
of like what happened in the world, and then also
what they were doing at the time and no exactly
thank you.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yeah, and Jim lost to his brother in the Super Bowls.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
The only reason he was right it had to be appearance,
not a win exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Real quick.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
This is what people had to say about Rams Chargers
in l A. It's very similar to what we saw
from Judge Giants.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
I thought we were a peace out on the street.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Oh yeah, I was ready for that.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Yeah all right, So.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
You need something called daylight wonderful.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
I don't think you want I don't think you want
the street to this hour.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
I don't know. You don't know what vehicle that camera down?
Speaker 10 (11:53):
Who do you have winning more games? Oh no, we
might bump up against cops of our syndicated station.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
We have bad boy band challenge that bad boy No,
just boy band challenge.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
They could be bad boys if some of you are.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
That's a j He's the bad boy.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Baxtree Boys have now challenge in sync.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
This is the third throwdown.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
By the way, this is why we're going off the
rails to a golf match this weekend. In sync Backtory
Boys golf match get on track. Lance Back says, bring
it naturally, and he probably did a dance move at
the same time. Here's the age old question. Who's the
better boy band? Is it the Backstreet Boys, Smantai or is.
Speaker 9 (12:36):
It in Sync Backtory Boys may beat him on a
golf course, but.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
They ain't gonna beat in on the charts.
Speaker 9 (12:40):
Man, you can't tell me that in sync on this
answer because it's in sync. I mean set to's humming
an InSync song before this segment even started, Like just
name me a Backstreet Boys song, Jamie, I want it
that way.
Speaker 11 (12:55):
Je, you had to wait for Kyle.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
That's how my brain works for me.
Speaker 7 (13:02):
In sign't Don't Eat, for of all, I was not
humming in sing song.
Speaker 6 (13:06):
I was not tearing up my heart over here. I
was humming I want at that.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Yeah, yes, my fuck Number one.
Speaker 8 (13:14):
Dude.
Speaker 7 (13:14):
They're at the sphere right now in Vegas. They're locking
it down, dude. The millennium album, quintessential boy band record
of the new Millennium. I mean no question, Backstreet Boys
by a mile larger than life. Quit playing games with
my heart. As long as you love me, all I
have to give, except I want it that way, the
one I mean, I could go on and on, dude,
(13:36):
it's Backstreet the Moon.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Did you say show me then?
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Beautiful song, Hands on the head, hands on the shoulders, separation.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
You know what I thought when I saw the pictures
of these two guys, and you see all the time,
like these viral uh fights on golf courses, who wins
in a scrap?
Speaker 8 (13:56):
At all?
Speaker 4 (13:57):
I get into it, right, No, I think it's probably
Backstreet Boys is at this time. Yeah, I think the
InSync guys actually start beating up Justin so they might
turn on him. So I'm gonna go with Backstort Boys
because I feel like A J will cut you. Like
AJ is a bad, bad dude, He's the naughty guy.
So I would take Backstreet on like the ninth te
over in sync and just a full on brawl.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
That's where my mind goes. You're the combat expert, though,
what do you think?
Speaker 11 (14:21):
Ooh?
Speaker 5 (14:21):
Man?
Speaker 7 (14:21):
You know what I'm looking at heaters there right, I'm
looking at who's going to be the difference maker for you?
You're thinking A You're thinking Kevin, Right, Kevin's the biggest
fall exactly, you know what I mean? Kind of quiet,
like there's something something nothing right up there.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
That's a good breakdown.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
That's kind of how I feel about it. Yeah, I
think I think who's the.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
First to be unconsciousnes is? But Justin probably.
Speaker 11 (14:42):
Jase has got some built up stuff.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
And it's Justin at this point, like he always he's
gonna right.
Speaker 7 (14:47):
There, but maybe he'd be the first one and maybe
he unloads, you know what I mean? Maybe he's got
a lot of bit more baggage than the other guys.
So the time comes when the gloves come off, all
hell breaks lose for JT.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
You know, I don't know, man.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
So you went and sink, you went backstreet?
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Where did you fall? You just went to again?
Speaker 5 (15:04):
How we handle the quiet one.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
To see the golf club over the knee and.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yeah, and then use it as a paling weapon and.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Then a microphone at the same time.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
It's moment I was going to jump like hot green
into the sand pit. That's what I want to see that.
Speaker 7 (15:18):
I just it's always fun, like a dance fight like
one of Michael Jackson.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Yeah, like the video switched flats and stuff.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
If I'm not mistaken, the backstory boys have never like
broken apart and done like the crazy solo career.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
I think chartered it at some point, but like.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Carter JT, like he straight up went off and did
his own thing because he's so talented. But if you're
going loyalty And by the way, I went to stage
coach this spring out in the desert and randomly at
the Country the Country concert and then the USA State
Battery Boys performed, and can I tell you the throngs
of thirty something women forty two that showed up. It
(15:54):
was it was thousands of people. That thing extended beyond
the little hut.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
It was crazy. But I'm also like, why is Baxtory
Boys at stage Coach?
Speaker 5 (16:01):
Why are they.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Playing so late?
Speaker 1 (16:02):
We all want to go to bed earlier stage, which
is like Country Coachella.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
It's the weekend after Coach Country.
Speaker 5 (16:08):
Nobody was there.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Jamie was the one blonde white girl in the skirt
and the cowboy boots.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
If you could see one, you can see it.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yeah, and I didn't document it by standing in front
of the thing that says howdy.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Absolutely did that.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Sam, hold the phone up higher.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
All right, there are the answers.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
I'm sure we put up a Twitter pool on GM's
do you find out your answers? I've said it before.
What's my favorite play in football?
Speaker 1 (16:42):
The two point conversion?
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Yes, it is, going for two? Listened to Kyle so
clearly trap that times.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
If you said the two point.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Versions your favorite, I literally say it every time I
intro this segment.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
All right, Well, that exercise was a flop.
Speaker 11 (17:02):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
First up on going for two?
Speaker 2 (17:05):
The Dolphins have reportedly I know Matti would have answered
the question correctly. The Dolphins have reportedly had a rough
couple of weeks with their joint practices, so.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Hard to say.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Last week they struggled against the Bears, and now at
a joint practice with the Lions, things are not going
the way the Dolphins had hoped. Here's their quarterback to
a Tongue of Iloa on yesterday's practice.
Speaker 12 (17:24):
I think today offensively, was a very frustrating day, you know,
in regards to what we wanted to do. What we
said we wanted to do came out, you know, and
we we just weren't able to get things jump started,
whether it was moved the ball, whether it was one
of the third down team periods, another team period, red zone.
It just felt like we didn't have the energy that
(17:46):
you know, we're used to when we practice and when
we play against you know, opponents. So that's what I'm
talking about when I talk about it was frustrating today.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
It's an honest answer from to a tongue of Iloa.
When we hear that things are not going great for
the Lions joint practice not great for the Dolphins, that
means what is your reaction?
Speaker 5 (18:04):
Man?
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Tie someone who knows too as well as you know,
for Tua.
Speaker 5 (18:06):
To say that, you know, twis very quiet, he doesn't
really say much.
Speaker 9 (18:09):
But for him to actually be articulate about that situation,
I think that just for me, my mind goes to
it must be really bad because toa just doesn't do that. Now,
I will say this, there was a conversation that was
had when Mike McDaniel first took the job that he
has had an approach where you know, it was a
player led locker room.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Now you understand this, SETH. That's great and all, but
you need to have a standard bearer. You need to
have somebody that you can look to and say, this
is how we're going to do it.
Speaker 9 (18:35):
Follow what this guy is doing. I know in your
world it is somebody like Triple H, like sir, somebody
that the company looks to us what are we doing?
Speaker 5 (18:43):
What are our values? Like when all crap hits the fan?
Speaker 9 (18:46):
Like who is going to take hold of this team
and lead us for you as Triple HM man for
the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Who is that? Nobody knows? You know?
Speaker 9 (18:53):
And so this is for me, this is in my opinion,
what leads to that is things aren't going well, people
are saying you want to be traded, People are saying
this and that on Twitter, on the field, whatever it is.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
You need somebody to step up and say, hey, we're
going to do it this way, this is how we're
going to get out of this crap.
Speaker 9 (19:08):
And right now, the Miami Dolphins are kind of in
this place where they just don't know set so they
need like a Triple H coming there be like.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
Hey, h, this is what we're doing.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
Yeah, you need a Triple H. Or you know, on
the opposite end of this, we're talking about Dan Campbell
and the Lions.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
You need a leader of men.
Speaker 7 (19:22):
You need a guy who's going to come in and
you know, look, Triple H is a great example for
me because he's a guy who gives talent myself. He
gives us, the players, the ability to think for ourselves,
to work and to have ideas and contribute and all that.
But at the same time, he's not afraid to make
decisions right. He'll put the hammer down when it needs
(19:43):
to be put down, and guys understand that. The guys
and girls in the locker room understand, like, like you said, Manti,
where to turn when you need directions? So I'm a
little split on this. One thing I'll say about this
is I'm glad that they recognize it. Right to me,
it's the worst when you've got teams who are like,
oh no, they shrug it off like it's no big deal.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
And I get it's pre seasons, training camp mistakes are
going to be made.
Speaker 7 (20:03):
But the fact that to recognize this, he's taking accountability
for it means that he's not going to sit there
and settle. He wants to be better than this, right
And if you have a team that wants to be better,
that's not just shrugging off like, oh, it'll be fine,
we'll get through it, it's not a big deal. He's like, no,
we had a bad practice.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
We got to be better.
Speaker 8 (20:20):
And I like that.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
I like that from my shot, what I'm kind of
hearing about your Triple AH comparison in parallel is similar
to what we're seeing at least from the opening months
of Ben Johnson's reign, which is like, I'm going to
give you the responsibility as the talent in the locker room.
You are autonomous with this power, but if you need
help and counsel, I.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Am here for you.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
And that's what as a Bears fan, you'd want to see,
but it's also how your world is is.
Speaker 7 (20:42):
Yeah, you need you need Like we mentioned it in
the last hour, you need somebody to push you to
be the best version of yourself. Like players need to
be coached, you know what I mean, Young players especially
need to be coached. Young talent in WWE, we need
to be coached.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
You know, I was there. I came to WWE in
my twenties.
Speaker 7 (20:58):
I needed people ahead of me like Randy Orton, John Cena,
like Kane like you know, these leaders in the lot
who would push you, wouldn't let you live in a
comfort zone like oh I finally made it to the
big time.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
No, you're here to win football games. You're not here
to make money.
Speaker 7 (21:13):
You're here to win football games and create a legacy
for us in this team.
Speaker 6 (21:18):
And so you need people like that like a too.
Speaker 7 (21:21):
You know, whether it's going to be Ben Johnson in
Chicago when we were talking about hiring head coaches. I
love the feeling of Ben Johnson because I love coming
from the Dan Campbell Tree and Dan was a guy
who is a leader of men. You know, He's got
these guys in positions who are going to work for him,
and I hope they can find that in Miami. But
it doesn't feel great right now. I will say doesn't
feel great if I'm a Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Well, the Bears actually play a part in this. I'll
get to in a second.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
But there's a sense right now of the Dolphins and
the sky is falling and all is lost. And I
always hate that in preseason because the same way people
will say offseason champions. If someone's having a great training camp,
they'll say Dolphins are on the clock for number one
pick next year.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
It's not sense. It's not sense.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
But there's a lot of this heat on the Dolphins
because you see the quarterbacks say very frustrating day against Alliance.
The problem is last week they're in Chicago and they're
playing against the Bears and Bears camp and apparently I
think go grad either. The tweets are just coming flying
in if you follow Dolphins beat reporters or Bears Mia
Dolphins got cooked by the Bears in joint practice this
last week. All right, then it just started cascading. We
(22:21):
now have Dolphins fighting Dolphins. Apparently there was a scrap
between two players on the same teams in the middle
of Dolphins Bears practice.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
This is what I would say.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
It's August fourteenth. These are not games. They're not even scrimmages.
They're joint practices. And if you're a Dolphins fan of
Dolphins player. Week one, you're playing the Colts, you tell
me you can't go out and beat the Indianapolis Colts
in a real game and go one to zero. Week two,
you played the Patriots. Patriots were terrible last year. You're
at home, it's gonna be hot as hell. You're gonna
(22:49):
cook them on their sideline. There's a chance that this
terrible Dolphins team is sitting at two and zero and
like all of a sudden, now the knives are not
out because of some dumb joint practice skirmishes.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
So I don't I hate when.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
It's like, oh, the Dolphins are gonna be terrible this year,
Let's take it easy. You know, we're very eager to
have opinions and conclusions. We haven't even had the meal yet.
We're still picking up the bread basket. They're not even
in the appetizers yet. It's hard, because we love football.
When we want to say this teems good, this seems terrible,
just easy, easy. He's not all the great teams right now,
they're going to be amazing camp. Someone might be eight
(23:22):
and nine this year, the Dolphins might turn the things around.
Wait till they play their first couple of games.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
Is that two sense?
Speaker 7 (23:27):
You don't understand why Dolphins fans would be concerned.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
They're all lay off terrifying thirty years.
Speaker 7 (23:31):
You know, I won a playoff game three decades, So, like,
if you're a Dolphins fan, you just want to feel
something good. I understand negativity you get even in training
camp at a time when everybody should be feeling podsiti
even hopeful.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
It's frustrated.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
The concern is that the bloom is off the rows
from Mike McDaniel. And he was one of the coolest
stories in the league a couple of years ago.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
It was different.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
He was fun and he was fresh and he was novel.
And now it's like, what are we doing this guy
with the weird quotes and the weird personality. It's tricky
because you mentioned Dan Campbell. If you're one of these
coaches and there's like maybe a handful in the whole
league who have like a very unique personality who isn't
just I'm a football coach and I got the hat
in the whistle. If you're one of those guys, it
has to work or it wears out very quickly. Mike
(24:11):
McDaniel is someone who if you lose the team, you're
losing bad. Dan Campbell too, enough with the screaming in
the metallica.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
That could go wrong. It hasn't.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
But if you're one of five coaches in the league
who has a unique, very almost like a stick personality,
I think that players can tune that out quickly if
things go bad.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
It's hard.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Now winning helps with that.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Like Dan Campbell, he is able to become like a
multiplied version of himself and his personality because the Lions
have been winning. What we've seen in the body language
department from Mike McDaniel into a it hasn't been great.
We need a fresh slate, like you often see with rookies.
So in the second down of going for two second point,
if you will, Abdul Carter, the rookie for the Giants,
understands the importance because he's on camera all the time
getting interviewed of.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
A good hair deck.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
This is good.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I like this, but he's not going to be showing
off his locks for at least a few more weeks,
and he explains why.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
Hello is your hair now?
Speaker 13 (25:01):
Yeah, that's why I got to it all right now,
as long as it's been in the wild. Yeah, for sure,
it won't be It won't be like this for long
for sure, all right.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Carter also went on to tweet, excuse me if you
see me, I'm.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Looking a little rough.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Not getting a haircut till I get a sack. So
this is why he's got goals, and he's gonna hold
himself to said standard man. Tire's the question when will
Abdulkar get this haircut?
Speaker 5 (25:29):
He's not gonna way long. He's not gonna wait long
because I think he's a week one against Commanders.
Speaker 9 (25:33):
Now, I know they've got Jayden Daniels, and Jayden Daniels
is going to run around there. But guys, they gave
up the seventh moth most amount of sacks last year
the NFL and one game, one game guys that gave
up eight sacks against the Saints. So he's not gonna
wait long. Okay, he's not gonna win. And if Jaden
Daniels doesn't have Terry McLaurin, who's his little safety blanket
that he can go to and he gets into trouble,
(25:54):
he's gonna get his haircut after that game against the
Washington Commander.
Speaker 5 (25:57):
So I got him sat at the week one we
get launch week one.
Speaker 6 (26:01):
I hope, I hope he I know, I don't hope that.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
I don't.
Speaker 7 (26:04):
I don't want to wash off full season and no
sacks for this guy because I think he's still But yeah,
I just want for the comedy of it, you know
what I mean. I just don't want to see what happens.
You know, he's talking about how rough he looks right now,
like I would love to see him like two months
just can't get a sack.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
You know, maybe he's having tackles for loss and.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
Just not a sack sack and let's let's not I
don't want to split hairs on this, but what if
it's a half sack.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
I think that's no, no, no, no, gotta be a
full one point zero sack.
Speaker 11 (26:32):
What what do you mean, Oh, like the front.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Not a haircut?
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Yes, I like this so much, Like I almost I
kind of feel like I want to throw in with
that dual carter, Like, yeah, I've done this before. Where
I'll have hair based alliances, mustaches and stuff. Yeah, Arthur Smith,
the Falcon scratch had a mustache that I'll keep wearing
my muskle.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
And then they start winning games. I would I would
throw in like I would like not shave until that
dual Carter gets a sack.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
I would do that start the season. But because like,
oh yeah, I had that. Look at that.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
I think that's creepy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. Yeah,
and maybe again he.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Also walked around with that frame photo of our while
while engaging in this.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
I got on a couple of watch lists for this.
I'm not gonna lie. I have trouble at the airport.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
What I remember about this to Kyle is, you know
we were doing the show in New York City at
this time, and I remember you saying, you know, not
that you wish poorly upon the Falcons, but essentially you
were like, I have kind of a fancy event to
go to tonight in New York City, and you're like,
I have to wear this facial hair like you look, can't.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
The Falcons just drop a game?
Speaker 4 (27:32):
And we're talking about the Falcons here, it's not eighty
five bears, like and then eventually they lost, thank God,
thank God. Yeah, but I might do this with that
dual carter. But I mean, guys, we have the picture.
I look like a police officer on the right. I
don't know what the hell I am on the left,
I understand, but maybe maybe I'm not shave until dual
card gets a sack.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
It's not that big of a of a risk because
we all kind of agree, like.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
It looks great.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Are you a regular haircut guy, Kyle? Should we go
no hair every two weeks?
Speaker 5 (27:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Why don't you go no haircut?
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I could also, like, I have a sense of dignity
at be on camera for a living. You know, I
can't just always put myself out there. I don't know,
We'll see, I'll think of something.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
What do you think?
Speaker 14 (28:09):
Man said, you think we should do it? Okay, you
said we I'm down. I'm down all of us because
you've got that whole shave thing. If you if you're down, KB,
I'm let's do it.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
What are you agreeing to cut?
Speaker 5 (28:22):
Shave?
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Whatever? We're agreeing to it to agree to something.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Yeah, I can't go clean shaven though, guys, Come on now, yeah, waiting.
Speaker 6 (28:27):
For the last time?
Speaker 5 (28:28):
You want to see that shaven was the last time
in college. My wife has yet to see me clean shaven.
Speaker 9 (28:32):
She saw some clips of me in college clean shaven,
and she's like, don't ever do that down.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
So I got to keep the beard.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
I think you should go no haircut.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Starting to haircut today?
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Today we er the season openers, not for weeks.
Speaker 5 (28:43):
Can we get it? Can we get a problem?
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I have so many of them grays now I look
like Polly walnots like. I have to keep it. I
have to keep it shaped on the side. So I
will figure something. But I think I think you'll get it.
If he doesn't get it against Washington Dallas is week two.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
He's gonna get it against Dallas, for sure, Dallas.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
And then he goes against my homes he got against
the Chiefs, so the loss. This is a fun thing
to track.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
We'll probably get it in the first series of the
first game.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
You know, it looks good, he does.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
We clearly we figured out a great answer here. I
feel like we're on a good path.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
That was going for two. My famer played a football.
Your job is to spike on that match and throw
this call so hard through the floor that it.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Registers a number unseen by mankind.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Oh my goodness, it's not.
Speaker 5 (29:31):
Zero broay six.
Speaker 11 (29:35):
Okay, go out there, let's go, let's go, come on.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
Nice. I think.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
What was that question you just asked, Kyle?
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Was that the same score that Seth and many got
exactly right?
Speaker 2 (30:01):
One of the odds what makes for great television?
Speaker 1 (30:07):
That person right there?
Speaker 12 (30:09):
You know?
Speaker 6 (30:12):
All right, okay, all right, let's go. Already ripped my pants? Yeah,
it's already ripped. Yeah, now you can't. I got no excuses.
Speaker 11 (30:25):
All right, that's right.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
I got homemade stretches.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
As we've referenced before, this has happened all of our
guests that come on that want to care about muscles
and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
This is our leader board.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
We've got Lauren Sky, Van noy Sew Jennings, Mantai, Joel
McHale has the five spot, which is shocking. Kyle Brandon
where to be seen by the way, and then seth
rawlins at six eighty six, and as Mantiito is as well,
so Derwin James on the board. We got players, we
got celebrities with our words.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Kyle's taking a video host.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Just going to my home video collection. Here we go.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
I want this for my personal use okay, So which
camera do I address? Okay, so we are preparing the
camera and the settings.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Manti ready, you will spike first, your computer will read
your number, and then we will place said number on
the leaderboard. But also, just in terms of today's daily competition, said,
you've already lost to the trivia champ one.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
I know I can't. I can't lose two times.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
I need you not to lose to this sweatband.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
Can't.
Speaker 11 (31:24):
Definitely an underdog, okay, definitely?
Speaker 6 (31:26):
Yeah, yeah, okay, this man is a house bro this
what are you weighing right now?
Speaker 12 (31:33):
So?
Speaker 11 (31:33):
Actually I waited two seven?
Speaker 1 (31:36):
All right?
Speaker 2 (31:37):
So visitors, because this is the home game, you're the competitor, yes,
since you are, this is a visitors shot first good.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (31:54):
Did it work?
Speaker 1 (31:55):
It? Did it go?
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Because?
Speaker 5 (31:57):
Ye?
Speaker 11 (32:01):
For that's the want a number, baby, Jamie.
Speaker 6 (32:07):
Yeah, let's go, let's go.
Speaker 7 (32:10):
Oh my god, number stand a chance.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
I'll tell you this.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
It is your house, that's your chair, it is that
man ripped his pants. He doesn't have his act together.
You are reverberating heat and energy right now. I don't
think you need much more.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
So Mantai, go.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
Ahead, let's go.
Speaker 11 (32:32):
I got it.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
All.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, not a chance,
not a chance.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Oh my gosh, what we got let.
Speaker 11 (32:42):
Me yes, sir, yes, sir.
Speaker 5 (32:53):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Right now we gotta line it back up. Yes, maybe lost, Kyle.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
We gotta go for two. Yes, no, it's done.
Speaker 6 (33:03):
There he is there, he is looking looking look at him.
What's he doing? What's he doing?
Speaker 1 (33:09):
No?
Speaker 5 (33:10):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
What what?
Speaker 12 (33:19):
No?
Speaker 11 (33:21):
I can't believe.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
What is that name?
Speaker 11 (33:25):
No no, no, it's job.
Speaker 5 (33:30):
Are you ready?
Speaker 11 (33:31):
Are you ready?
Speaker 5 (33:32):
Yeah, you're ready.
Speaker 11 (33:34):
I love a nearing a green like to like me.
Speaker 8 (33:38):
To me?
Speaker 11 (33:38):
You gotta me chin No.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
No, no, no, no, no no no.
Speaker 11 (33:46):
Sure you mean a sure? Water is a jamping my house?
Speaker 5 (33:56):
I win you lose, there's no.
Speaker 8 (34:01):
No.
Speaker 11 (34:02):
Oh, I writ my pants for this mother. This is chaoks?
Speaker 5 (34:09):
What is going on now?
Speaker 11 (34:12):

Speaker 5 (34:13):
This baby's a fut I'd love you, said that, dad, love.
Speaker 11 (34:16):
You my wife and daughter and dad. I got the
