Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Good Morning Football in every sense of the word. These
three guys don't normally do the show. It's early, it's happening.
We're talking everything NFL and the fact that the schedule
is getting released. Sean Merriman back at the table wearing
his lights out shirt. Great the brownny Man's at the table.
Mitch Morrise, Welcome back, Mitch. He is here for day two.
And Marcel Reese new to the table, a four time
(00:30):
Pro Bowl fullback here and I personally felt it was
the professional decision to make to sit between you two.
We got a Raiders player and a Chargers player, and
we have some tape from these two going at it.
This schedule is being released tomorrow, but we have an
extra special announcement to make that a GMFB.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Roland good Morning Football.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yeah, that's exactly right, Marcel, here we go. Games are
being announced. It's the slow trickle, is what we like
to call it. The drip, drip drip. It's not all
happening tomorrow night. I know. That's how it was announced
at the draft. It was like the whole schedule is
going to be released on Wednesday, May fourteenth, apm m yesterday.
There were some last night. We have five or six
international games that we're gonna announce right here on GMFB
(01:27):
this hour. So here's what we know so far. Okay,
a Monday night football game was just announced. And for
those of you who like the color green, this one's
for you. Monday, November tenth. It's Eagles Packers on ESPN
and ABC. That's a Week ten special. Then, how do
you feel about shopping on Black Friday? If you hate it,
(01:48):
great because you get to watch football instead. Bears Eagles,
everything coming up Kelly Green. That is the day after
your triple header on Thanksgiving and you can see that
game on Prime and you can shop, I think as
you do. So Week sixteen, that is an NFC North
game that everyone has looked forward to and the fact
that it ended ever so sweetly for the Bears last
(02:10):
season in Lambeau. Packers are looking for redemption. Those are
two young quarterbacks that you know and love. Speaking of
quarterbacks that you know in love, but those two might
hate each other. NFC Specialty Commander's Eagles. That's another Week
sixteen game. Fox got a beauty of a double header
on Saturday, December twentieth. Oh, I'm sorry, We're not done there.
(02:30):
Broncos Chiefs they're playing each other on a Prime T
and F edition of Christmas Games Special And that is
incredible one too because the Broncos they're coming. We talked
AFC West business yesterday and the coaches that are in
that division. What can the Broncos do play upset specials
with the Chiefs as they did last season? Again, this
is all ahead of tomorrow night's full schedule release. Each
(02:53):
and every game will be revealed. But quickly, I shall
go around the table. I will start with you, Marcel
newcomer to the table. You see a handful of those
games announced? Anything catch your interests?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Mean when you're looking at Week sixteen and then you
have Jayden Daniels going against Jalen Hurts, Yes, I mean
that's must see TV. Two primetime quarterbacks in the division
and they're both deep in the playoffs. Yeah, and you're
into the season. You have to think that that's going
to have playoff implications.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
I would say this primetime games are brought to you
by the Toush Push. Oh listen, you're gonna say all
these primetime games are saturated by the Philadelphia Eagles. Well,
they earn the right to. Yeah, and then besides that,
I'm a little bit of a homer for this, but
you have a late season implication in the AFC West
(03:42):
Broncos Chiefs. If we have an opportunity, I'd like to
go back to twenty sixteen, it's Broncos Chiefs. We get
to snap it to the big guy, Don tari Po
on Christmas Day, three hundred and forty pounds. It is
called the bloated t bow pass. Yep, he goes, he
takes it, he throws it, place goes nuts. Implications an
(04:04):
all time high. It was a beautiful thing to see.
But I just think that if you think that there's
too many Philadelphia Eagle games going on, that's our problem.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
How else are we going to become sick of talking
about the team that just won the Super Bowl if
we don't just shoved it down your throat all the
prime time matchups. You earned it, Eagles, we get it.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yes, you know, yesterday I said that the Bears I
thought were going to be good this year out the women,
and now it looks like the NFL it also believes
that the Bears will be good this year because else
they wouldn't be at that week sixteenth spot with that
many implications.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
So I like the Bears.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
They're my dark horse coming into this season out of the NFC,
and I think they're.
Speaker 7 (04:42):
Going to do good.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah. Well, the NFL also thought that about the Jets
last season with Aaron Rodgers in town, and then we
were experiencing the flex of all flexes I think later.
Speaker 7 (04:50):
In the season.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, we got a good six games exactly. So the Cowboys,
they exist within this ecosystem of the NFC East and
they have to compete with the defending Super Bowl champion.
Are they going to be playing internationally? We're going to
find that out this hour. Six of the seven international
games is coming your way in just about forty five minutes.
If you just leave our channel on until the top
of the hour, you will find out if one of
(05:12):
your teams is playing internationally. And we know some of
those countries, some of the home teams, but who their
opponent is we will tell you until then. Opening night,
it's Cowboys Eagles, It's happening. That is how we kick
off twenty twenty five. It's the lead block, Dak Prescott
and the Cowboys Jalen Hurts and the Eagles Thursday, September fourth,
on NBC in Peacock. Bitter, Bitter, Bitter, NFC East rivals
(05:33):
meeting in the season opener for the first time in
twenty five years. Okay, so we get the entire slate
of games tomorrow night on NFL Network eight pm Eastern.
My gosh, I've never said that so many times. New
Dallas wide receiver George Pickens he is going to make
his regular season debut on the road against the Super
Bowl champions in Philadelphia. He was already kind of bred
with in state hate I can imagine with the Steelers
(05:53):
and the Eagles, but now he gets to experience at
firsthand in the division. Cowboys COO and co owner Stephen Jones,
in an appearance on Serious XM Mad Dog Sports Radio,
told them why they made the trade for the white Out.
Speaker 8 (06:08):
Well, first of all, we look at him, Uh, you know,
it's just two starting receivers out there. We take him
as more than a two.
Speaker 7 (06:14):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (06:15):
When when we were looking at the deal, Uh, certainly
we looked at the draft. Uh, you know, in terms
of scratching an edge, uh, you know, seeing what might
be available there in the draft. But here you get
a guy who's got experience, who who's had great success
in the NFL, obviously a tremendous competitor. He reminds a
(06:35):
lot in our building of Dez Bryant in terms of,
you know, his competitiveness and uh, you know what he
brings to the field, his edge. When it didn't happen,
you know, we had some opportunities around the league that
we were looking at, and this one, uh, you know,
at the end of the day made the most sense.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
It's true, and the Cowboys were sitting at twelve, people
kind of fell off their chairs and they didn't go
wide receiver, but they knew this thing was cooking. With
the Pittsburgh Steelers, now they have Pickens and Tyler Booker
in their room. That's great for the offense. Marcel, what
are your thoughts about hearing that SoundBite and the fact
that he made an intentional choice to say, does Brian
in that quote? Listen?
Speaker 7 (07:12):
I know, Steven right right.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
It was the right answer, you know, and it was
a diplomatic answer and an answer not to make his
dad mad at him as well. Sure, from an on
field perspective, it actually makes sense he can stretch the field,
he loosens up coverage.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
The issue for.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
The Cowboys and this is the leadership in that locker room,
not just from a player perspective, but also from a
coaching perspective. Mike Tomlin, in my opinion and a lot
of opinions, is one of the greatest leaders that we
have right now in the NFL, and he had a
hard time controlling Pickens. How are the Cowboys going to
be able to have leadership around him to maximize his
(07:52):
playmaking ability? To Marcell's point, it's all going to come
down to the leadership in that locker room. My favorite
thing that Stephen Jones said was in this Country draw
is it scratched their itch? Bring it and then, and
that means that he has playmaking ability on the field.
No one denies that he brought up Dez Bryan a
few times. No one denies that George Pickens has that
(08:15):
moxie if you want to call it, that personality. If
you can garner that in productive ways, you're going to
have a great compliment to guy like ce d Lamb.
And I think Dak Prescott, entering his tenth season, is
going to be that leader in that lockerom I just
have to think it.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
And even though I said their lives out yesterday, I
wouldn't be surprised if this is a perfect marriage between
these two receivers and this quarterback again.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
And I gotta watch what I say also too, because
Steven Jones and Canil walked inner at.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
The Cowboys, which.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Like that.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
I'll say this no Cowboys fans especially, We're talking so
much about the inactivity of the Cowboys on the all
season of free agency, and I think they had this
up there shally the whole time. You know, you have
to pair somebody on the opposite side of Ceedee Lamb
because you need somebody to stretch the field, somebody to
get double teams, somebody and take the top off and
make it happen. And they got just that. Also Dak Prescott,
(09:08):
I mean, you know, he could still play, he could
still go, and he needed that extra target to take
that pressure off him because Dak Prescott's always played well
when he had a good running back back there, a
good old lineman. And also to capain wide receivers, awa
wide receiver and a tight end. And they finally got
that back in the building and give him more targets,
but I think he's going to be doing well well.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Sean to your point, it was a strange quote I
think from early March, and Jerry Jones is like, we're
going to be selectively aggressive, and then nothing transpired, and
you're like, what does that mean if you don't actually
do something in terms of free agency or the draft.
It just took kind of a long time, but it
seems like the answer they got there eventually, Mitch. I
liked what you said and both of you about just
the leadership and the quarterbacks. There are certain wide receivers
(09:49):
in rooms and quarterbacks that can just handle I think
some of those intense situations. And maybe George Pickens, even
back to his Georgia days, maybe he hasn't been around
a quarterback that can truly command a room and when
he speaks, the guy turns and listens. So maybe Dak
Scott can be that. Answer me this though, the Cowboys,
you know, we constantly are talking about whether or not
we'll see them in January or if they will do
(10:11):
anything with that January opportunity bounce back season. This qualifies
since they didn't make the playoffs last year. Answer me, this,
what do the Cowboys have to do to bounce back
next season. I will go to you first.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Well, I think Michael Patriots will agree here. They have
to establish the run game.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Just say Patriots, yes, wow, how does that make you
guys feel?
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Well, that's the second part of that made me feel
at a little weirder.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
But I have a few words that I look up on.
That's what I got five more times. It's incredible that
being said, the run game needs to be established. It's
something that takes pressure off the quarterback. And everyone's going
to say, well, it comes down the offensive line. Marcel
(10:56):
knows this. It's a marriage between the offensive line that
tied ends the running backs and everyone's seeing it on
the page. The best run games I've been around on
those install days, the run game coordinator brings pretty much
the whole offense then and so everyone can see who's
blocking who, how they're blocking it. The running backs read
(11:18):
just everyone on the same page. And if you get
that going, it's going to be a dangerous offense to
work with.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
To Mitch's point, cohesion between the nine guys on the
field in the run game. Inside run game on Wednesdays
we call them lunch pel days. Nine on seven and
those nine guys, we take the two outside X and Z,
get out of here, go do one on ones and.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Go look pretty right.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Yeah, the cohesion between those nine guys are It's so
important for all NFL teams, all football teams period, but
Dallas Cowboys specifically historically and now when their O line
is good, that is when they're good. I'll give you.
I'll give you two seasons, just these last two seasons.
Last year they're O line. Thank you to Lakwan for this.
The great notes. By the way, thirty sacks last season,
(12:06):
tenth right, the bottom ten of the NFL.
Speaker 7 (12:11):
The year before that.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
In twenty twenty three, Dak presstart runner up for the MVP.
Two sacks, run game, hitting on all cylinders. Yeah right,
it's not just their modern Dallas Cowboy teams historically, always big,
always imposing. They set the tone for the Dallas Cowboys
when they revamped that offensive line. It's contagious and everything
(12:33):
picks up after that.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, I'll take it a step further. They need to
find out who they are again, right, establish that identity
because I think they've lost a lot of that over.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
The last couple of years.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
And you just said I remember who they were was
a big offensive line. They were healthy. I know they
had guys just recently retired, so they need to establish
who they are again that running games. And Dak Prescott
he can play once he knows he got a safety
blanket behind him, when he knows he can hand that
ball off and take some of that pressure off, then
go make big plays down the field. He plays great,
(13:03):
but if you've put him in a SI when he
has to go out there and be the man week
in and week out, he's just not that guy. So
we need that new offensive line. Guy's be healthy, and
they brought some more people in drafted this offseason, but
we need to take some of that pressure off of
Dak Prescott because if he has to go out there
and go out there and step up and be that
top tier quarterback week in the week out, he's just
(13:24):
not that. He's never been that guy. He's always had
a supporting cast around him, and also on the defense
side of the ball. I would love to see Micah
get back on top of one. Stay healthy, obviously, stay
on the field, but put him in positions to win.
I think over the last couple of years he's just
been out of place, putting his hand in the dirt
on one side of the football where the offense knows
where he's coming out at.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
I always felt this, Now what.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Text him once in a while, I say, look, they
need to stag you up, move you to the left,
movie to the right, blitch you down the middle. The
offense should never know what Michael Parsons is lining up at,
and he's just been kind of stationary. So I hope
they get back to find out who they really are.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
No one is happier to have Michael Parsons in a
Cowboys jersey than Tyler Booker. In the fact that he
just got drafted to the Cowboys. He doesn't have to
play against him on Sundays there the same team. Mitchell,
ask you about Tyler Booker personally, I'm biased because I
was staying out on the stage when the young man
came firing out of the tunnel. He leaves Alabama, he
goes to the Cowboys. He's gotten electric personality. I mean
carrying his college quarterback through the green room and then
(14:20):
finding the commissioner on the stage and going for the
double hug with Roger Goodell. It was an amazing moment.
And then he brings this personality to the Cowboys. Now,
sometimes you want your lineman to just you know, defer
and to say whatever the quarterback needs. Not this young man.
I mean watch him as he is absolutely ecstatic to
go from Tuscaloosa to Dallas. What kind of impact can
(14:41):
a young man like that perhaps have in this room
that we have been talking about requires, you know, some
maturity and some energy.
Speaker 5 (14:48):
Well, I wouldn't put personality as a detriment to an
offensive lineman er a team right now. I mean, I
think of my guy we talked about yesterday, Dean Dawkins.
Exuberant personality, amazing football player when it comes to it,
Like Sean said, there's a bunch of guys who are
retired guys who will eventually see the Hall probably.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Any time you can get a young, talented player with
a lot of moxie and and a lot of personality
and a love for the game out there doing what
he's doing right on the film right now, finishing blocks
down field, protecting his ass off. Excuse my language. I'm
sure I'll hear about that, but it's just a beautiful
thing to see a guy like that in that room.
And I think it's gonna be a compliment to their
(15:29):
run game.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
How much did it fire you up, Mitch to hear
him say that when he plays, he likes to see
the love of the game leave a guy's eyes.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
Yeah. I mean that's some slicks because as a true
football player, we all know exactly what that looks like.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
You're in that fourth quarter and a guy just looked
at feed and he's looking at you like he got
nothing lefting. He's still got a full take a gas
miss lamming on it. So when he said that, I said, Okay,
that's the mentality, that's the identity you want. Back in
his locker room.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Michael Parsons was like, uh huh, Yeah, we got a dude.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
When we say someone is a dog, yeah, locker room, that.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Is what it's like.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
And I think that that personality that you're talking about
is the excitement that that offensive line actually needs at
this point in time, because, like we said, they had
some retirees. They need to revamp that offensive line, and
that is a great place to start because that does,
to Shaun's point, take a lot of pressure off of
everyone in that locker room. When your offensive line is
(16:26):
hidden like that.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
We are the leader in the Clubhouse is a Tyler
Booker support show. And the man's got pet turtles, so
you gotta love everything about him what he brings to
the table. I know that, Yeah, he does, Trina, and
he has a whole deal about it. He's got to
go to the schools and drive the turtle back. It's
a whole thing, Tyler. I want to know how Trina's doing.
He came on the show and talked about his turtles.
It was fantastic time for the Roundup, presented by a
(16:49):
Roundup for Lins. We love feel good stories, and here's
one about Sandy Combs. We discussed this wonderful woman yesterday
and the story that has now hit the airwaves is
even better than you can imagine. Sandy Combs was sitting
next to a lovely young man on a flight recently
from Denver to Jacksonville, and that young man was Travis Hunter.
(17:10):
It turns out that none other than the reigning Heisman
Trophy winner and second overall pick to Jacksonville was seated
next to Sandy Comb's on this flight, so they took
this selfie. She puts it on social media to praise
Hunter and told her that her son's that she wants
his jersey. Well, Travis Hunter, I hope you're having a
great rokimunic camp because we got Miss Sandy Combe. So GMFP,
(17:32):
good morning to you, Miss Combs. Nothing has ever been
truer when I say you're a traveling nurse and you
are calling us from your car. So we love this
for you, Miss Combs. Thank you so much for taking
time out of your day and to tell us and
retell us this story. So, miss Combs, you accidentally booked
(17:54):
yourself a first class seat on this flight from Denver
to Jacksonville. First of all, Sandy, you should be flying
first class all the time, is what I have to
tell you. Secondly, how did you find find out that
this was Travis Hunter, or the number two overall pick
in the NFL when you were observing him that day?
Speaker 9 (18:13):
Once I board it, I found my seat and I said,
excuse me, that's my seat, and he said okay, and
he stood up, and I started to put my bag
in the overhead compartment and he said, I got that, ma'am,
go ahead.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
And sit down.
Speaker 9 (18:30):
I got it, and I started smiling and I sat down,
and by the time I sat down, everybody else started
boarding and people would stop by and say congratulations man, congratulations,
a good job, man, good job.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
And once everybody went.
Speaker 9 (18:48):
Burt, I turned to him and I looked at him
and I said, ma'am, I ask you a question. He
said yes, ma'am. I said, am I sitting next to you?
He smiled and I said, really, come I sit next
to and he just kept smiling. I said are you
(19:10):
a professional athlete or something?
Speaker 6 (19:12):
And he just kept smiling.
Speaker 9 (19:14):
And I looked at the pants and they were Jaguar pants.
I said, are you a professional athlete? A professional football player?
And he looked at me and smiled. I said, did
you just get drafted? He said yes, ma'am. I said,
oh my business. He said yes, ma'am, and my name
(19:35):
is Travis. And it still didn't register who he was.
I'm like, okay, congratulations. So I turned around and waited
for us to lift off, and I said, may I
take a selfie with you?
Speaker 6 (19:51):
Sure, ma'am. So I held my phone up, really didn't
know how to take on.
Speaker 9 (19:56):
He said, let me take that, and he took it
and cleaned it off. I say, you're doing just what
my boys do.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
They all it's.
Speaker 9 (20:04):
Cleaning off my phone for me and then he took
the selfie and I started smiling, and I said, I'm
gonna send this to my son. So I sent it
to my son, and Charles immediately answered. He never immediately,
And Mama, how did you sit next to Travis Hunter?
(20:27):
I said, I'm a first class I said, and he said,
I don't believe you. I'm gonna do it, uh FaceTime.
He immediately FaceTime. So I said, Travis, my son want
to say hell Lord to you. He don't believe I'm
sitting next to you, so I did. They spoke to
each other and I said, that's it, this is my time.
Speaker 6 (20:48):
And I hung up on it. And I just couldn't
believe it.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
And he sent it to his brother and cousins and
my three brothers, and all of them were trying to
call me, but it was too late.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
I had to go on the air. Mold it was
just one.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Now, Miss Sandy. Not only did he help you with
your luggage, but he helped you during meal time too, right, Yes.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
I couldn't believe it.
Speaker 9 (21:13):
I was looking around for my trade and I said,
here's my trade. He said, I got it, so he
pulled it out for me, set it up and everything
and I looked at him and I said, you didn't
know when you sat next to me you were gonna
have to go to work, did you? He said, Oh,
it's all right. He said, I our grandparents. I take
care of them all the time. And when he said that,
(21:35):
it just melted my horse.
Speaker 6 (21:38):
He got me. That was it.
Speaker 9 (21:40):
I'm like, I can't, oh, man, this is such a
nice young man.
Speaker 5 (21:45):
Miss Sandy. First of all, we're so happy that you're
here this morning. I don't know you very well, but
you seem like someone who might have some sage life advice. Rumor,
as you might have given Travis Hunter a little bit
of sage life advice. Are you willing to share that
with us?
Speaker 6 (22:02):
There some of it. I'm holdt oh, you don't tell everything.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
I understood, yes, So I.
Speaker 9 (22:12):
Told him, I said, you are such a nice young man.
I said, anybody would be proud for you to be
their son, a grandson. I said, don't you ever change?
And he said, I never changed. He said, I never
forget where I came from. I will always remember where
(22:32):
I came from. That you are just such a nice
young man. I'm just so happy to be sitting next
to you. It just melted my heart.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
MISS said, how long did it take you to convince
your sons? Do you actually sit next to them? Do
they believe the first time when you told them? Well,
how long did they kick in before you before they
realize you were really sitting next to them?
Speaker 6 (22:55):
After I hung up on them, I'm like, this is
my time.
Speaker 9 (23:04):
And I was sitting there and we started talking and
I told him, I said, I am so glad you're
off of social media. I said, it's a good thing,
but it can be so bad. I'm so glad you're
not on there and just continue to be who you are.
Just don't change. And we talked about a few other things,
(23:29):
and I tried to leave him alone and let him
enjoy his trip, and I just couldn't stand it. I
told him, I say, you know, when I get off
of here, I can't do it now, but when I
get off, I'm gonna google you so I can know
who I'm talking. So I haven't really kept up with
(23:51):
any of this. He didn't say he was a Heisman trophy.
When he didn't say any of that, he was just
I could have took him home to my grandmother's hunder
birthday party and.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
Now, Sandy, you were talking about social media, the downfalls
of it, but also the thing that can be things
that can be beautiful on it. In the world today,
we need more of these beautiful things. Your story encompasses
a beautiful moment that's gone viral. What's been the reaction
to this and how has your life changed in the
last I would say seventy two forty eight hours.
Speaker 9 (24:28):
Everybody has called me. They want to know, did you
get your jersey for Mother's Day? I told them it
was too big, but I told my son, take you back,
but make sure you get my jersey.
Speaker 6 (24:40):
Don't try and order it. Go pick up my jersey.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
You live.
Speaker 9 (24:45):
But I beg in phone calls. My family people I
had heard from are like, girl, do you know you
went viral? I'm like, okay, I didn't know what that meant.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
And it's like I.
Speaker 9 (24:58):
Signed up for Twitter and Instagram, all these things. I
get recipes off of them, really go on it. I
try and keep up with my children and see what
crazy things they might put out there. But other than that,
I just didn't know how to use it. And they
would call and say, oh my goodness, sports illustrated this
one that one and I got all these requests and
(25:20):
my son was helping me find messages. He say, Mama,
you got to call the NFL network. That's so you
need to do an interview with I said, okay, all right.
He was telling me what I needed to do, and
I'm just i feel like I'm famous. So many people
messages and I'm just overwhelming. I'm on cloud No and
(25:45):
I'm loving every minute of it.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
And you deserve it. And I bet Travis would agree
with that. As a traveling nurse, you kind of deal
with people going viral and for all the wrong reasons.
But we want you to go viral with the NFL.
We love this story. Now, I don't know if you
had an NFL team before this. I have to imagine
now you are a newly minted jack Wars fan. Do
you know the distinct cheer or chant that Jaguars fans
(26:10):
do and would you like to do it for us
to make sure you everybody understands that you are a
Jags fan.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
I'm Mossie Kingian.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Do yeah, Miss any Combs, you are fantastic and whatever
pregame ritual or ceremony that the Jaguars do, I absolutely
think you deserve a home game for them. I think
if they go international this year, you should make the trip.
You should everything, Jaguars. That is your new best friend.
(26:43):
It's a new part of your family. Travis Hunter. What
a cool story.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
You're amazing and safe drive wherever you are going. We
loved your heartwarming story. We'll talk to you soon.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
All right, bye, bye bye.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
How's doing?
Speaker 6 (27:05):
Surely I'll do something today.
Speaker 5 (27:07):
Love it out here Barkley is officially a bird.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
And Stony.
Speaker 9 (27:14):
Dig Carolina Puska.
Speaker 7 (27:16):
Then in US Munich Gameys and.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
C On Thompson.
Speaker 9 (27:22):
How good is that?
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Those highlights are a thing of beauty. But you had
to get your passport stamped if you wanted to see
them in person. Here we go. It's a GMFB exclusive
of international games that are happening next season. There will
be seven outside of the US next year. We have
six of them right now announced. There will be three
in London and then one each in Dublin, Ireland, Berlin, Germany, Madrid, Spain.
(27:58):
The league returns to Sapaulo, Brazil, and we are going
to announce six of those. But that of course is
a game that we will be announced to me here
we go. Oh, this is so exciting. I can't believe
we get to do this week Before we begin in Dublin, Ireland,
we already knew that the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to
be the home field advantage for this game. Their opponent, guys,
(28:20):
you get to guess, lived within the NFC North. Their
opponent lives within the NFC North. They were a playoff
team last year they won fourteen games, and this year
their starting quarterback is a Michigan man. Who will the
Steelers be playing in Dublin, Ireland the Minnesota the Minnesota
(28:44):
by game?
Speaker 6 (28:45):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Yes, absolutely that they are going to Dublin, Ireland. That
is a Justin Jefferson International experience, Thank you very much.
Nine thirty am Eastern at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland,
taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Every time we show a
Steelers game, since we don't know what's going on a quarterback,
we're put T J. Watt give it to the poster treatments.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
All be a pretty sober fan experience.
Speaker 7 (29:09):
Can you imagine you imagine?
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Well, Sea fans in Ireland class all class. All right,
So we move on to Week five. This is just
the next week. You knew the Cleveland Browns We're going
to be playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. They
are the home team. Their opponent once again is in
the NFC North. Their quarterback from last year is now
(29:37):
going to be starting for the Seattle Seahawks. And there
is a reason why I knew how to do this
team's sound a couple of minutes ago. Who is the
Cleveland Browns opponent in London for the first time ever?
Speaker 5 (29:53):
You go, it would be two weeks in a row?
Would the Minnesota Minnesota?
Speaker 2 (30:02):
So I had to do it again, playing two weeks
in a row in two different countries in the Minnesota Vikings.
I can't believe that has happened. The Jaguars obviously have
played back to back games in London in years past,
but to go two different countries to choose to stay
over there, you have to imagine the Vikings are going
to choose their bye to be in Leak six. But
(30:22):
they chose I would. You have to imagine they chose
they opted into this. This is international exposure for the Minnesota.
I taken on the Cleveland Browns, who once again Defensive
Player of the Year nominee as their poster child, because
we don't know what's going on a quarterback, what is
happening right now? And that's who is that?
Speaker 9 (30:41):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Who's that JJ? I would hope that's JJ. Here we
go up next Week six, same venue, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
in London. We know the home team once again is
the New York Jets. Jets played in London last year.
Hints for the opponent is as follows as an AFC
West team playoff appearance last season and their head coach
(31:03):
spent a year with Fox before returning to the sidelines.
They're a a a f C West. Hey, there we go.
What you do want to say?
Speaker 4 (31:18):
Sempaynon's name, Champayne, team that wears.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Orange phoneix will be taken on the New York Jets.
And that is another game that's being played in London,
and Sean Payton takes his crew who's trying to stay
alive in the a f C West against the Kansas
City Chiefs all the time they are getting the international
treatment in London. That's Week six. Okay, if you're already
in London, you might as well stay because now we
(31:43):
got Week seven, the remaining game in London. Three games
in a row in London. Of course you're gonna see
Trevor Lawrence. Look at it, Look at that guy. We're
switching venues though, we're going to Wembling Stadium, and of
course the Jacksonville Jaguars are the home team. New beautiful
hints for the opponent is this took the Super Bowl
(32:03):
champs down to a wire in the Divisional round last year.
They added one of the best wide receivers of his generation,
and they play their home games right across the street
from us.
Speaker 7 (32:17):
Right now, it's a fair point.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
It's a fair point.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
I can only say this one team play across the
I was.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
Going to say, you have you have a bake baked
baked bias, baked bias. So once we said across the street,
all he could see was charge.
Speaker 8 (32:41):
Of the.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Rams are playing the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. And this
anticipate is an anticipation of the l A Rams going
to Australia next season, I believe right. So the Rams
are practicing that long flight to go to London and
uh Stafford Lawrence going head to head in London. That's
pretty cool of Wembley State. And that's Week seven now,
(33:06):
everybody come back, take a beat on, packed the suitcase
through the laundry. We fast forward to week ten. Okay,
we just went three straight in London. Now we're going
Week ten. For the first time ever, a regular season
game is being played in Berlin, Germany. We knew that
the Colts were the home team. Anthony Richardson right now
is starting quarterback for the Colts. Last year when they
went international, we weren't sure if it was going to
(33:26):
be Anthony Richardson. It was a whole thing. Here is through.
The Colts will be playing. They are an opponent in
the NFC South. Their second year quarterback is a lefty
and they're running back has his own mustard. Hc L
(33:46):
going to Germany.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
What a cool it was?
Speaker 2 (33:51):
The mustard? Is that your tipping point? Yeah? Dejoonn a's
Michael Pennock junior and Anthony Richardson. I mean mustard. You
kind of need it in Germany. It's the marketing is perfect.
It was the pretzels. He's a dog, yeah, exactly. Is
this gonna be cool to see? Yes, like you're Michael
(34:11):
Pennock junior guy.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Absolutely, absolutely dynamic quarterbacks going in Germany.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Let's go in Berlin especially. This is really cool.
Speaker 6 (34:18):
All right.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
So that was Week ten, November ninth, again, NFL Network,
nine thirty am Eastern. Rounding out the international schedule is
week eleven, and for the first time ever again, I
feel like we're saying this a lot in this segment.
Madrid's spaint that's where the regular season is being played
for the NFL. I feel like you are you a
Madrid spaining guy.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:41):
This will be played at Santiago Bernabout Stadium, home of
Real Madrid. The home team is the Miami Dolphins. This
is just so perfect. There's two a lining up getting ready.
The opponent for the Miami Dolphins in Madrid will be
an NFC East team. Okay, they made an NFC championship
appearance last season, led by the league's reigning offensive Rookie
(35:06):
of the Year. Show them, show them. Everybody is making
this space like they absolutely know who it is. Come on,
show them, Washington Commanders. Oh my gosh, this is my
favorite one. And tell me why this is your favorite one.
This is my I mean, look at this matchup. This
is like the NFL in a nutshell right here, like
that brand. The Miami Dolphins going to Madrid and this
(35:29):
young quarterback and the Commander. I think this game is
perfect for a result.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Oh yeah, no doubt about that.
Speaker 5 (35:34):
But I got to check my passport going state side.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
You guys, this game nine thirty am Eastern on NFL Network.
That was six of the seven games to be played
internationally that Friday night kickoff one. We're going to find
that one out tomorrow with everybody else, the Vikings. They're
going two countries, two games back to back. And you
just found out the rest of the international games that
you will see next season. Nine thirty am Eastern on
(36:04):
NFL Network and NFL Plus. Of course, look at that
couple in London, Dublin, Berlin and Madrid with the Commanders
and the Dolphins and exclusive for GMFB. Exactly. All right,
you all can talk about it now. We've given you
the gift
