Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's Good Morning Football, Everybody, presented by Old Trapper Beech Jerkey, Tuesday,
October fourteenth.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Those are the facts.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
I'm Jimmy Arnell. Here's Man Titayoa to my left. Isaiah
Sambach sits at the table in Los Angeles as well,
and Kyle brand is in New York.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Listen. I don't know what the rest of.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
The Monday night football schedules look like, but at this
point it's exposure therapy. I don't know life when it's
not a doubleheader on Monday Night football. All I ever
want is two games. All I ever want is for
them to start mid afternoon California time. Kyle, I just
I need. I'm at seven games on Monday night.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
At this point.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Now you're talking, let's do it. Let's do Monday Night,
and let's say it.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Good better best. Never let it rest until you're good.
Is better and you're better his best. Let's start the show.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper. Yeah,
welcome in GMF ME everybody, Jamie Mantai, Kyle and Isaiah.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
We were quite confused.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
A couple of weeks ago, the Bears won that game.
We go into the locker room after and Ben Johnson
is screaming gibberish with a jugular coming out of the
side of his neck.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
We all came off gamera. We're like, what was that?
What did you just say?
Speaker 2 (01:25):
And now Kyle's just saying it like it's a poem
that he's heard a thousand times before.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Well done, Kyle.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
We fully understand the message that's going on in the
Bear's locker room.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Now, yeah, we're familiar with it now because the Chicago
Bears have won three in a row and Ben Johnson
bellows it after every single win. People attribute that quote
to Saint Jerome. It's all over the map. Some people
say Saint Jerome didn't say it, some people say he did.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
I know this.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Ben Johnson has had it for sainthood in Chicago if
he can continue to win, I believe me.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
But that's me on.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Lamb Bear's Commanders, guys, as jamieson off the top of
the show.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
We had a doubleheader last night.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
We had Bill's Falcons first, and which head coach will
be screaming after this one?
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Let's find out.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Let's go to that beautiful dome down in the state
of Georgia. The Bill's lost recently. Josh Allen, that man
in his career is twenty four and eight following a loss,
rarely loses to in a row. Atlanta calls the game
that a DiAngelo malone. You go ahead and celebrate, Atlanta,
because you just looked into the face of the MVP
turned him away. But John was a monster in this game.
(02:25):
That's the biggest Falcons win in a long time. It
was their first Monday night football game at home in years,
and they won against the Bills twenty four to fourteen,
double digits. Afterwards, let's hear it from Michael Pennix Junior
in front of a beautiful Falcons and Mercedes been backdrop
and Josh Allen.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
From an out of half, I don't feel like we
played our football, you know, I feel like we have
more in a taint and and for us to go
out there and win that football game with the half
the second half that I feel like we had, that
was a big law. I feel like it's gonna be
a scary sight whenever we figure it out and you know,
all play together and play play four full game and
not just one good half.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
You know, it sucks when you feel like two thirds
of your teams, the offense and the defense are doing
their job and you're the team not to pull your weight.
Speaker 7 (03:14):
It sucks.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
So again, got to get in the film room and
learn from our mistakes and move on.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah, but you hey, when they pile up. You know,
the Bills have had a tough couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
That is an exascerbated Josh Allen, MVP of the league
right now, raining but a lot of guys are starting
to take off. Manti big time takeaway from last night
Falcons win Monday Night Football over the Bills.
Speaker 8 (03:37):
Well, Jamie talking about piling up. John Robinson had yards
piling up. We saw that he had a record long
run last night. He also had the most yards in
one game in his entire career so far, and it
was against the same rush defense for the Buffalo Bills
that has been struggling as of late this year.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
When I look at this.
Speaker 8 (03:56):
Rush defense for the Buffalo Bills, I see a defense
that was built to win their division. It wasn't to
win some of these games where it's a run first,
run heavy approach.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
With the Atlanta Fuscons had.
Speaker 8 (04:10):
If you look at all the teams in the division, Miami,
New York Jets, the Patriots, it was a pass first,
pass heavy approach. This front, this front seven for the
Buffalo Bills. From a personnel standpoint, they're fast, they're athletic,
but their number one job is to get to the rusher.
You look at their d line, Greg Russo at Oliver
Joey Bosa, really good run defenders, elite pass rushers. That's
(04:34):
their front, that's the first line of defense. Then they're linebackers.
You have Dorian Williams and thro Bernard, fast athletic sidelines
to sideline runners. They're not a gap, feel the hole,
make plays on running backs. So when I'm looking at
this defense, I'm looking at a defense. It's like wearing
those running shoes. You guys, know, those fancy running shoes
that got those bottoms.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, you ever try to score out in those things? No,
it's not a good idea.
Speaker 8 (04:59):
Those shoes were meant for lightweight, fast run, run, run, run,
It's not It was not made to put all of
that weight and bear all of that strain. That's why
I see what this Buffalo Bill's defense. So Bobby Babbittchow's
defensive coordinator. He needs to be a little bit more
strategic when looking at this defense to help against the run.
Speaker 9 (05:18):
Mansaw, you're the only one here that lifts weights. Okay,
I just want to put that out there.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
To do just HiT's different on those certain shoes.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I'm like flip flops.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
Slides, Okay, man.
Speaker 9 (05:36):
Anyways, I want to talk about this young talent that
Atlanta has. Obviously, we know that Buffalo is Buffalo. They
took an l but this we have. We can't go
without acknowledging the fact that the investment that the Atlanta
Falcons have made into their young talent on both sides
of the ball, but especially offensively, is paying a huge diffidence. Obviously,
Michael Pennick Junior, their first round pick, is figuring it
out right. He's not hitting it at all, Cylinators right now,
(05:58):
but he finished with twitter fifty yards in the touchdown.
Then you have to acknowledge the receiver Drake London. Drake
London ten reception, one hundred and fifty eight yards in
a touchdown, and that got overshadowed by that man on
your screen right there. V John Robinson, who's another one
of their big time draft picks. Nineteen carries one hundred
and seventy yards toting the rock. These guys have a
ton of talent on offense and then if you wanted
(06:19):
to flip it on the on the defensive side of
the ball, Jeff albrig has his guys as well. They
invested on the defensive side with some multiple first round picks.
They go out there and got Jaylen Walker, got James Pears.
These guys held the Buffalo Bills under three hundred yards
of total offense and twenty two percent on third down efficiency.
This young nucleus that they have is paying huge dividends
for the Atlanta Falcons, and we're starting to see that
(06:39):
start to pay off.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Hey, listen that that that Falcons defense. It's like it's
like one of those weightlifting bells here. You guys ever
do hand clean wearing on those belts, you.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Got like three hundred pounds here and just that type.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
You ain't in the locker room in South Bend.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Bro, none of us for doing that stuff.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
I don't know what you're speaking Mandarin to us about
shoes and squat. I haven't squatted since thousand, two thousand years.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
I love you Bud, but like we ain't squadded you. Okay,
all right.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Now now no, no, First of all, First of all,
huge huge excitement, respects, congratulations for the Atlanta Falcons.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Awesome win. I said this during the highlight.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
You know that was their first Monday night football home
game in seven years. Seven years, that's a long time ago,
and they had a show piece. I know it is
a doubleheader, but you have the MVP in town. I
also want to remind everyone, never mind seven years ago,
it was just a few weeks ago. This Atlanta Falcons
team was not only losing to the Carolina Panthers, they
got shut out thirty to nothing by the Panthers.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
It was a disaster.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Pennix Junior was pulled out of the game, Cousins was
put in. Afterwards, the head coaches asked Kirk Cousins might
be the new starting disaster, like absolute rock bottom. And
it was only a few weeks into the season. To
do that, and to come back and to play the
Bills and contain them like they did and win in
just a matter of a few weeks. That is coaching,
That is character, That is everything you want from the Falcons.
(08:09):
And the Falcons are going places now because I know
the Bills have their problems. Just a second, if you
beat the Bills like that, not only beat them, really
really limit everything they're trying to do. You have what
you call upside. I'm saying, you have like one punch power,
like you can beat anybody. If you can do that.
That was a great night from Atlanta. It was the
biggest one they've had in a couple of years. Pennix
looks solid, Viijon looks like a superstar in the defense.
(08:31):
The defense, the defense. Because I'll say this about the Bills,
they scored fourteen points.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
Fourteen.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I mean, I know that there are issues with the roster,
and there's issues with the secondary, and there's issues with
talented wide receiver. God Josh is not playing well. I'll
just say it with my chest. He's the league MVP.
I love him as a person and a player. He's
not playing well. He didn't play well last week. And
if you want to just keep saying he needs more help,
he needs more help, all right, I'm not disagreeing with you.
(09:00):
He ain't getting more help. I just don't think it's happening.
They scored four thirteen points this week. They scored twenty
points and by the way, there's a lot of people
out through the scream.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
You know the Bills.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Technically this should be in a dome because of the
way they play, and they shouldn't play well. There they
are in a beautiful dome in seventy two degrees and
there's fourteen points on the board after there was twenty
points on the board last week. There's two more interceptions.
It's not great. Then here's what's going to happen. They
go into the buy now and for the next two
straight weeks all anyone's going to talk about is same
old Bills.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
They'll get to the playoffs and lose.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Josh has to do the Superman thing and they're faulted
and they're flawed and all that. So that can be true,
or you can come back in a couple weeks and
make some changes, maybe make some roster changes, do all.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Of that stuff.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Because this team that we saw last night and this
team that we saw last week, they're not getting to
a super Bowl. I think we know that. That's just
some dramatic things have to change, because right now all
anybody's crowing about is, well, well, well, look who's in
first place in the AFC East. It's the damn Patriots
and that was fast. They're already there, So take the
bye week, get right, lick your wounds through the roster,
(10:01):
because last night that team like they're not.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Going anything because of the standings in that division. Specifically,
Patriots fans walking around with their chests out. They're feeling
good about Drake May. The twenty twenty four NFL draft class.
If you're a quarterback, they were on display on Monday night,
and Drake May kind of felt the aftermath of that.
Michael Pennix Junior looked great, and then we saw Bears
Commanders and Caleb Williams in Jaden Daniels and this thing
(10:25):
delivered as it.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Did one year ago.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Somehow, I don't know how the scheduling dogs work out,
but this thing is getting played again at the Commanders Stadium.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Bears are in town.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
We all know how the Phil Mary happened, at least
for the Bears. Ben Johnson brilliant, Bears win it. Everyone's
celebrating Moody, who's had a tough.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Couple of months. Moody. Everybody's screaming about the Michigan good Man.
Don't draft kickers. Well, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
If the forty nine ers drafted him, they cut him.
He's on the practice squad and the Bears they win
this one, twenty five, twenty four. They are three and
two on the season. And if you ask Kyle Brand
or a Bears fan, is Ben Johnson entering sainhood?
Speaker 4 (11:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
They looked good the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Here they are from both quarterbacks.
Speaker 10 (11:08):
After the game, Yeah, it felt great back in you know,
hometown obviously, and been able to come out with a
win like that is big for us, big for us
as a team, biggest, you know, big for us as offense,
special team, just just overall big for us. And you
know that that's a that's a hell of a team
over there. So being able to come out victorious in
a dog fight where you know, things weren't perfect, perfect weather,
(11:30):
it wasn't perfect, and being able to come out victorious
is big for us.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
So feel great.
Speaker 11 (11:34):
I'm not from this sid appearance. Blame it on the elements.
I mean, at the end of the day, I got
a focus. Uh, I get paid to go out there
and focus playing and play out and h I had
a lack of focus right there, and the costs us.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
A game, Kyle.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
These two are giggling to my left because we referenced
the Patriots yesterday and you gave your game ball the
cash on Booty and then I say Booty instead of Moody,
and now we can't help. You can't contain the church
giggles here. Okay, so everyone gets your office. That was
yesterday talking about Booty.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Today it's Moody.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Tough loss for dan Quinn and the Commanders, but huge
Bears win. Let's go take away from the twenty five
to twenty four final in a rain soaked Manti.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Would you call it a fiasco?
Speaker 4 (12:18):
A fiasco?
Speaker 8 (12:19):
It was a turnover game for yeah, you know, fiasco
for the Bears. And I would say this, guys. I
was coached by Dennis Allen. He was our defensive coordinator
in New Orleans my three years there. And there is
an emphasis that Dennis Allen had on taking the ball
away on Fridays. We would have a whole turnover circuit. Now,
when I say turnover circuit, it isn't just punching balls
(12:41):
out and doing all tip drills.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
It's situational turnover drills.
Speaker 8 (12:45):
There's three guys hits group tackles pulled the ball out.
Whenever we went into any type of period seven on seven,
eleven on eleven, we didn't just tag off on guys.
Matter of fact, we didn't tag off at all. Everything
was an attempt at the ball. Well, the Bears go
in yesterday and to get three turnovers, which all three
turnover to let to points thirteen points to be exact,
(13:07):
and the last turnover that they get led to the
game winning field goal. So when I watch this Bears defense,
it's a defense that is equipped to do the things
that Dennis Allen wants to do.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
That's to take the ball away and there's an.
Speaker 8 (13:19):
Emphasis there and you saw that coming to play last night.
So hats off to the Chicago Bears with a hard
fought win. But I thought a lot of those turnovers
that led to point played a key factory in this
win last night.
Speaker 9 (13:30):
Yeah, shout out to Dennis Allen and the defense because
I think that's where the positivity really lies right now
with the Chicago Bears. Listen, make no mistake, we understand
why Ben Johnson is in Chicago. He is there to
develop this young quarterback in Caleb Williams and utilize all
these offensive weapons. But keep it real, it just hasn't
clicked yet. Right So right now, the defense, to my point,
(13:51):
from my stance, is still carrying this team. When you
look at yesterday, Caleb wins fifty eight percent in completion,
not great. DeAndre Swift was your guy. Outside of him,
you really didn't have much. DeAndre Swift killed it on
the ground, had a big time touchdown later and by
having to the reception he led on the ground, he
led as your receiver. These guys are thirty percent completion
on third down, that's not Ben Johnson's offense, thirty three
percent of the rezon that's not Ben Johnson's offense. Only
(14:14):
two touchdowns that we just talked about, four field goals.
This team is winning games as of late, and it's
not because of the offense. So what happens when Ben
Johnson finally gets through to Caleb Williams and they finally
start having a success that we're familiar with being associated
with Ben Johnson's name, then you have to be concerned
about Chicago Bears. So I know my guy KB out
there and New York is out there excited about the
(14:37):
potential of the Bears.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Congress to them winning.
Speaker 9 (14:40):
But this still is not Ben Johnson's team the way
in which he envisioned it.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
I hear you, dude, it's not pretty.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
They're really flawed. They are like, without a doubt. I
don't think they're a great team. Who cares they won
three in a row. I'll get to them in a second.
I have to start with the critical. If you weren't
watching this game, or if you didn't switch back over,
if you're just catching up now. I can't emphasize enough
how big that fumble was by the Commanders, by far,
the biggest play the game. This game was over, it
(15:06):
was over. The Commanders had the ball, they're marching, they
have the lead, they're about to ice this thing, and
out of nowhere they.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Make a terrible, terrible fumble.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
And listen, Jane Daniels just dropped it like he straight
up dropped the ball.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
And there's a lot.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Of quarterbacks in this league who'd be getting crucified this
morning if they made this play. Jade's very young, he's
very cool, he's very good, so it's fine. He's made
a lot of plays like I can't. This is a terrible,
terrible play. And he said on himself he's like, I
get paid to not do that, and I did it.
It's just it's a massive play. This game should have
never happened. The Bear should have never won. Self imposed terrible.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
Terrible play.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
I just have to say that because I know the
Commanders fans are feeling that this morning. Now, as for
the Bears, one of the words we hear constantly, we
constantly hear this over and over and over, is we
hear this word culture. You hear culture, culture, and it's
it's kind of a pretentious word, especially if you never
played the game. What does that mean? It's everybody's set.
And then you start to see it with the Bears.
(16:03):
You start to see it coming from the head coach.
You start to see it by in the way that
over the last few weeks they have developed a running
game out of nowhere.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
They couldn't run the ball for squat three weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
They going to the bye, they come out there, they're
running all up and down the field. You start to
see it that the Bears had zero turnovers last night.
You start to see it that Caleb Williams, after one
of the biggest wins of his career, comes out and
says about his head coach quote, I'm excited that I
get to wake up and be coached by him. We
believe in him, we trust him. The belief in him
(16:33):
is there. We want to win for him. This is
Caleb who has known Ben Johnson will only for the
five six weeks during the season.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
They want to win for him. They like him.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
They wake up in the morning thinking about winning for
their head coach. Guys, that is culture. And I will
say this as someone who has a master's degree in
twenty first century Bears football.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
The Bears do not win that game last night. Trust me.
They don't win that game under other.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Regimes, even if they're set up to win it. I
promise you, I promise you. The kick is blocked again,
they drop the snap, they do something idiotic, and you're like, oh.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
The Bears lose again.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I'm still shocked adjusting to the Ben Johnson culture.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
I'm shocked that they won that game.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Still refreshingly, positively shocked.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
That, oh my god, they got the snap, Oh my god,
the kick win it.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Wait, there's not one second left for Jade and Daniels
to tear their heart.
Speaker 7 (17:27):
They won.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
It's the most pleasant type of shock you can feel
as someone who has an allegiance to a team because
it's so different. So many other Bears teams lose that game.
This team finds a way to win it. And it's new,
and it's like a new relationship or a new romance.
It's like it's kind of hot, but I just still
can't believe it's happening.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
You don't have to have a PhD.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Kyle in Bear's Classics if you will to understand how
differently this thing could have gone. You could be in
Bears one on one and look at just last year
in the Hail Mary. Recent history would imply that that's
how that game would go. And the fact that Ben
Johnson is around to help change the tide is impressive
in and of itself.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Third deck Rush from the pocket runs out of time
as he throws middle eight impact.
Speaker 12 (18:14):
He intercepted the first of Clinton Lake's career. It comes
in Baltimore in week six, the long awaited first takeaway,
Sir Captain Q.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
If you've been reading at all about the Rams their
defense that play, perhaps by safety Quinton Lake, you will
know that it was purely produced by the power of manifestation.
It's the word that keeps coming up when you learn
about Quinton Lake.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Well, now we got him.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
He is in his fourth year in the league, and
Quinton that was your first interception on this Ramsey Events.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Good morning, career.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
That's a big interception.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Smile that I see right there, Clinton Lake. You look happy,
you look proud. It was an incredible play, but it
was so it was so the product of all the
hard work that you put in. How do you feel
now that you have accomplished something that you have probably
yearned for for so long.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
Yeah, it's been a long time coming. You know, you
get your first one.
Speaker 13 (19:13):
And you know, you think, you know, finally, you know,
it's just a big weight off your shoulders, you know,
after really four years in the NFL, having plenty of opportunities,
but really coming down with one's awesome. So yeah, I
was happy, you know obviously the guys, you know, they
were excited for me, and they were.
Speaker 7 (19:28):
Just like, man, you've been in a drought.
Speaker 13 (19:29):
I was like, I know, manugh, but you know, we
got we got one in you know, hopefully many more
to come.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Well, you the drought is over.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Man.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
You undercut that route by Jay Flowers. It's almost like
you saw before maybe you even manifested it before. Tell
us about what you and your teammates might have saw
that gave you that opportunity.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
Yeah, a lot of it's film study.
Speaker 13 (19:47):
You know, you you do the work and you know,
you watch the you know, opponent throughout the weekend. You
kind of get some keys and some tidbits that you know,
helpe you make some plays. And we saw that route,
you know, so many times in practice. And the thing is,
you know what I wanted to really emphasize this year
is if you see it, go get it.
Speaker 7 (20:03):
And you know, we got that.
Speaker 13 (20:04):
Same formation, same route, same down and distance, and you know,
you reach your keys and you just go. And that's
exactly what that was. We had practiced that in practice,
and I said, I said, if I get this trout,
I'm gonna go get it. And you know, you talk
about manifestation the same thing. You know, just just go
out there and make it play.
Speaker 8 (20:20):
Okay, you talk about film study, Your film is very impressive.
Somebody else on your team on the defensive side, that's
very impressive. This past game was Nate Lantman. He had
seventeen tackles yesterday. He was all over the place. And
I have a segment called my defensive player of the week.
He was my defensive defensive Player of the Week for
this week. At what point in that game did you
(20:41):
guys sit back and realize, like, dude, you're having that game.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
At what point of the game.
Speaker 13 (20:46):
You know, you know how you get into games and
you're like, man, like you think you have a lot
of tackles, but you don't really know, you know, we
talked about it after the game. He was like, man,
that felt like a lot, but I didn't think I
had seventeen. No, But he's I mean, he's flying all
over the place. One of the greatest additions that we had,
you know, for the Rams this offseason. I mean, he's
gelled with the guys. Obviously he's a fantastic football player,
(21:08):
but a great teammate too. And you know, it's really
awesome seeing his growth and his success because each and
every day he comes to practice and works hard. You know,
we always talk about it, and Coach talked about it
be a Ram and that's he's the embodiment of that.
You know, a guy, a physical guy can do everything,
you know at the linebacker position. So it's been great,
you know, that's my dude and He's gonna have a
(21:30):
ton of tackles, you know for these games to come,
for sure.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Quentin, it's really cool to hear you rain down praise
on your teammates. You just kind of exude positivity.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
But I want you to have an honest moment with us.
All right.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
A guy on your team, linebacker Jared Verse. We say
this about him a lot. Sure he hits hard, but god,
he will not stop talking. I mean it is just
to see it off the field.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
You see it all I feel you see it three
warm ups.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
What's the most obnoxious thing that Jared Verse just will
not stop jawing about as a teammate of his?
Speaker 13 (22:00):
Oh man, you know, actually, I got a funny story.
This is It's it's interesting because you know, you do
postgame interviews, and so I'm doing my postgame interview. This
is the first time I was on the stand. I'm talking,
and you know, you have guys that wait beside you,
like getting ready to come up next, and we're talking
and they asked me a question about Jared and he's like,
(22:21):
you know, He's like, how did that question? How did
you make that question about yourself?
Speaker 7 (22:24):
And out me? While I'm on the stand. He's like
off to the side, look at him like, yo, like
this is this is my time, this is your time?
And you know he is. He's a guy that you
you need, those guys that.
Speaker 13 (22:35):
Just always talk and talk and talk and bring energy
each and every day in each and every game. So
Jared fantastic player, phenomenal. I'm not going to say he's
anxious because I know he'll probably see this, so I
don't want to. I don't know, I don't want any problem.
But you know that's my dude. He's you know, he's
you need. You just really need guys like that, and
(22:56):
he's one of those guys. He brings the energy each
and every play.
Speaker 8 (22:58):
A cute You're heading to Lennon to take on the Jags. Uh,
Is this your first international game? First and foremost?
Speaker 7 (23:05):
Yeah, first international game?
Speaker 8 (23:06):
Okay, tell me how excited are you about going internationally
to play a football game and what are you what
are you looking forward to the most?
Speaker 7 (23:13):
Yeah, I'm excited. I really want to see you know,
what's the fan bas like out there?
Speaker 13 (23:16):
You know players that have been over there internationally say,
you know, they they show out and it's wild to
see how much football has touched really the whole world,
and that's honestly really cool. You know, people have told me,
I've seen messages talking about Yo, I'm going to be
at the game, I'm from the UK, this.
Speaker 7 (23:34):
And that, and I'm like, dang, Like football is.
Speaker 13 (23:37):
Way bigger than just the States, is way bigger than
you know, just us as the Rams. You know, this
has touched people across the world, and that's that's really awesome.
Am I excited about the time change and the long flight.
Speaker 7 (23:47):
No, I'm really not.
Speaker 13 (23:49):
But you know, you always have to adjust and you know,
make the best of it. But you know, going overseas
to be able to be in front of a different
fan base.
Speaker 7 (23:56):
Is going to be really cool.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Well, you have a natural energy, Quint, and you'll be
just fine.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Listen for a guy that went to high school in
Orange County, the UCLA.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Now he's played in for the Rams.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Look at you on the international stage this week and
we can't wait to watch you your defense. The Rams
move on. You'll see that game on Sunday morning on
NFL Network. Quentin Lake, everybody, well done on your.
Speaker 13 (24:16):
Absolutely in the studio.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Yeah, he's got that TV smile. In the off season
book me for a week l as a defender.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
That's why Jamie he plays defense. Dawson knocks.
Speaker 8 (24:46):
Every time I see Pachaco on, I just think angry
runs that segment.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
This guy is just lives angry check off, thank you
for my sake. Anger runs, step cow muglow.
Speaker 6 (24:56):
Much appreciate and singing the guy's name that does it.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
But the angry runs I always want to be on that.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
He can be an angry runner. Angry runner, that's what
I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Let's go, oh, Kyle Brandt, we just had an angry
run candidate.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Actually are so you win thatceptor?
Speaker 6 (25:13):
Angry run sceptor at a running back.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
You want this? You want to be on.
Speaker 10 (25:17):
The angry runs and have an angry runs.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
They sing you a col sit there, single clue shirt.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Cale me get it, boom, Welcome to New York. It's
been waiting for you. In my it I mean disgusting,
miserable weather. It is cold, it is wet, It is
that terrible word moist.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
And guess what, it's only week six.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Do you know what it's like for me out here
when it's gonna be week seventeen and it's true degrees
and they're sideways sleep.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Coming in my face.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
I like it, I love it, I need it.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Let's just honor.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Look Jordan loves up here. I'm the Angry Terrorists, recodown all.
The face of the league is on the Angry Terrists,
and you know it's always on the Angry Terraces. I
get parts during the segment I'm spending up, so I
always reached for a liquid death and I put it
right down the hatch.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
No, I don't shit now, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
First, let's check in with what I call the Angry
Run Street Team. These the men, women, children, and sometimes
animals who rock the official Angry Run shirt and sending
photos this year to try to win some Super Bowl tickets.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
Who do we have?
Speaker 13 (26:25):
First?
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Bring them up?
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Bring up the finalists and the winner.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Oh yeah, we're going to.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
That angry orchard where everybody's always angry. This is Cassie
and Dan. That's my man, Desmond. They all got their
shirts out there, paying about eighty bucks a pop for
a bag of apples they're never gonna eat, and I
love them for it. Next, next, bring it up. Angry
apple Piggy is an angry endeavor. Oh my goodness, what
do we got here? Antoinette and she gone, and we
(26:53):
got baby Audrey in the custom Angry Runs Onesie sitting
on top of her mother, unconscious and you'd love.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
To see it. What's up Audrey's.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
He's a winner right there, girl, but our winner this week, honestly,
our winner and a finalist to get the super Bowl tickets.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
I'll talk about in a second. This guy's a legend.
Check out this maniac. Just drink that in.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
That guy who looks like the late Jimny Anvil Knightheart
in the Air is named Kevin Zaretski.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
We have a play in three.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Acts beginning middle and he's he doing the Jordan logo
over on the right. Kevin Zuretski is a pro high diver,
yes for years taking hits from the water, and this
is exactly the type of psycho I want to see
in this segment. Kevin, I absolutely love you. I love
you so much. At the end of the season, I
might be sending you to the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Why Because I want each and.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Every one of you to go crazy like Kevin z
Auretsky and send us your angriest photos, send us.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Your meanest mugs.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
You don't have to wear an Angry Runs T shirt
like I am to qualify, but I promise you it
does not hurt. Go to Hamas dot com and check
him out. Each week a winner will be selected by
me like Kevin just was. That individual gets one hundred
dollars homage gift card.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
One hundred dollar gift card. Pretty good.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
But that weekly winner will also become Elgimole for the
grand prize, which is three nights in a hotel and two.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Tickets to Super Bowl sixty the Big Dogs.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Scan the QR code right there or text Angry Runs
to six three five six three five for your chance
to win. Go up on the high dive, do whatever
the hell you want. The only rule is there are
no rules. Now let's get into some submission.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Should we do this?
Speaker 1 (28:35):
To start this week's Angry Runs, can you please bring
up the true the true face of the sports, The
face of the NFL in twenty twenty five was at
my home. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Bring up
the picture.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
I want it, I need it. I'm waiting for it.
New York, bring up the picture. Give me scataboo.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
Oh yeah, let's go cam Scataboo. I mean it's just
how good is this How good is this? This guy
isn't born to wield this scepter and wear this shirt.
I went down to Jersey, I hand delivered it. And
guess what's coming up for the first submission this week?
Guess what we're doing. Do you remember the game that
was last week? It was still part of this week,
(29:16):
but it was technically played laughing and bringing in scatterbo
on the sideline because you go out of bounds now,
way boom, that is what you cat what happens when
you run into an all pro names that bond that
is all pro needs all Bro and the bro wins
as usable scatter brop.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
That's not it.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Take me to the goal line. Finish this scatter Bro.
I want it, I need it. Runs into the same guy,
the same Zach Bond and carries him New York City,
carries him and carries his team and he gets six points.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
In it's over. This is pure determination.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
This is corn fed, creatine fueled, see termined.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Look at that board.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
He's like, this must be what the tush push feels like. No,
but it's only one man. It's not the tush push.
It's the Cam slam. Wham bam, thank you Cam Scataboo.
I absolutely love you rolled this thing. I think Pond
had enough. That's an honorable guy to in his best Scataboo.
That could have been Lawrence Taylor, that could have been
(30:18):
Ronnie Lott, that could have.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Been any of them.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Scattaboy's gonna score and David is gonna kiss him right
on the lips. And I can't even blame him. I
love that man. That's the face of the league.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Bring up the.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Next picture of Scattaboy. Let's just do this one more time.
Bring up you want to see my Christmas cards?
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Gonna be this year? Sorry, honey, but there's the card.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Nothing with the dog, nothing with sweater, nothing on tumnole.
It's just gonna be me and my nephew, Cam Scataboo
for everyone to see. I'm so proud of that photo.
I can't even stand it. But it doesn't necessarily mean
the Cam wins. He already has one scepter. Come on
here for a second. Remember I showed you this New
York Stay with me. That's back from week one, when
(30:57):
his first touch in the NFL got him a sceptor.
Now he's taken over the league. We're early investors. We
knew that band when they were still playing bars. Now
they're playing But who can take him out? Let's go
back to last year and let's show another scepter picture
from a guy who is always showing up in the
segment and happened to play last night.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
You know who that is right there. That's Tyler Al'sier.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
That is with his own scepter, his own shirt. And
we love the Jeon Robinson experience, but this dude brings
the ruckus roll Alsier, roll Alsier at home on Monday
night footbaul for the first time for the Falcons in
seven years. They're knocking on the door in the red zone.
He says, no, no, no red zone, get out of
my way. Oh my gosh, How'sier? Difficult to spell? Very
(31:39):
difficult to tackle?
Speaker 4 (31:41):
There is a a L lgae I owe you are
Bam bam.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Is easy to spell. Bam bills go down. Algier beats
his chest and so do all of us watching last night.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
Tyler Ralgier, you are always welcome in this segment. You
even could win this segment.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Tyler Ralgier, because you know what, he could have gone
for the pylon.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
He could have not been way too easy.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Sometimes some guy just want some contact and they go
looking for it. This is called hunting. This is big
game hunting. And guess what he's bringing home a buffalo hide.
You better believe it. That's two submissions.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
We got one more. I'm gonna take a breath. Let
me take a breath.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
I'm gonna starting to get that the foam at the
mouth here because I'm excited about this swim. I got
a lot of submissions from this guy all.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Over the league, all over.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Social media, was like, gotta get him in, gotta get
him in.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
And he's an old school guy too. He's been in
the segment before.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Kareem Hunt did nasty work for the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
The Chiefs are back. Kareem Hunt is back.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Bring up Kareem Hunt because I want to see.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
This destruction right now here.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
We go against the Lions, big tough one. Paum, Oh yeah,
Kareem who was that? What was that? Oh my gosh,
And he's crawling and then mahomes his head, putting him
in flexing poum. That is one of the seven Deadly sins.
Is bad tackling low man wins not in this case, Bam.
(33:03):
That is Hunt being the hunter and this time the
prey was lyon. Here's gonna be one of those guys
on Instagram who posts a picture of him killing a
lion and everybody cancels up. But no, he said, this
is football, this is fair. Leave him a long home. Oh,
I can watch this all day. Guys, we have a
real tough competition.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
In our hands. You know it's better. Let's go into
the archives.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
I mentioned Kareem huntsmen part of this segment for a
long time. Would you like to come with me back
to the year twenty eighteen and see the first time
we're a hyphen Kaream Hunt on this segment.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
I bet you would roll it.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Here comes a champ, this is Kareem Hunt two weeks ago,
and he who look out, he runs out of your face,
the camera out, hurdles the safety, Yes, carries these guys
five or six more yard. I mean, this is good,
this is pretty, this is violence, this is ballet, it's mma,
It's everything you want, and angry runs. He looks amazing.
I look like I'm in eighth grade in that video.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
I don't know. Is that from nineteen ninety two.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
No, it's twenty eighteen, and look who's still doing it?
His second stint on the Chiefs, and this is I mean,
this is pure, this is abstually and he has to
be absolutely a hog died by poor Kirby Joseph down here.
That is good.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
That is what the segment is. I'm excited.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
I'm so excited. I don't know where this is going.
Speaker 4 (34:16):
Sometimes.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Let's be honest, my family, and I'm like, we know
who's gonna win. We know going in there's one of
them and the two of them are I kind of
find we got good stuff here. Camp's Caadabou the face
of the NFL. We have Tyler Elzier, who's always nasty,
and then we got Kareem Hunts doing real, real work
against the Lions. I tossed it over to Englewood and
what say you, I'm gonna scream to New York City
(34:38):
for a little bit.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
KB.
Speaker 8 (34:39):
I gotta correct you because you don't have good stuff.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
You have great stuff.
Speaker 8 (34:43):
All three amazing, amazing, But I gotta give it to
Tyler Algier. Guys, when you make a decision where I
could have easily ran to the pylon, but I chose
to look at a defender and run him over. That
was a conscious decision. Of violence, and it encompasses everything.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Every run's is. I got Tyler, that's me Za what
you got it? All right? I respect yours? I respect yours. However,
I'm torn between the two.
Speaker 9 (35:15):
You got your nephew Skataboo, who literally turns that bond
into a tug of war, tug of war memes dinner
hold on, or you have to go with the old
savvy veteran Kareem Hunt who decided to he ran over
somebody named Yes Sin, and he.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
Yes Sin didn't even get it.
Speaker 9 (35:33):
I can't just to be it has to be my
guy Hunt.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
He went hunting that day.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Kyle, Kyle, Listen, something happened on Thursday night.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
I shouldn't scream that.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Something happened on Thursday night, Kyle, And it happened at
MetLife Stadium when that young man put.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
On a display of two angry runs.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
But for me, it wasn't even that is that nepotism
should be alive and well.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
And if that man and Cam's.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Kataboo can peel off his T shirt on the Prime
his jersey on the Prime video set, first of all,
that's my vote. Second of all, I'm not sure why
you haven't ripped your shirt off yet rank and third
of all, I just want to make you keep hands
delivering the step there in New Jersey, because I know
how much you.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Need a chance. Not a chance, guys, listen to me.
When we finally do our final Angry Runs, I'm gonna.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Take it all. I'm just gonna do it naked. I
don't care, but we will save that.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
I am in a glass case of emotion right now
because I don't know who to pick. We got three
quality submissions, we got different votes from all of you.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
I gotta go with my heart.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
I gotta go with my gut, and like these guys,
I gotta go shoulder first. The fact that he did
it on the sideline when he didn't need to, the
fact that he finished it at.
Speaker 4 (37:01):
The goal line when he had to.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Guys, for the second time in six weeks, the Agger
Run scepter is going to Jersey.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
It's going to Camp Scattaboo.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
He said I'd be coming back to see him. I'm
coming back to see him Camp Scatterby. Not my fam
my blood nepotism is alive and well, I'm giving the
scepter to my family, Camp Scattaboo. My Nephew on the
New York Giants. You're getting it, You've earned it. I
love you, I'm coming to Jersey and here we go.
We wrap up the segment, put the sceptor down, put
(37:31):
the LD camp. Scattaboo wins again. Angry runs boom. See
you next week
