Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hey everybody, it's Good Morning Football, presented by Old Chapper,
Beef Jerkey. Tuesday October seventh, Jamie or at All and
manside sayo here in Los Angeles, Kyle Brandts and a
Super Bowl champion and Willie Cologne hanging out in New
York City. Kyle, you guys have guests stopping by the
studio this hour. But a life lesson learned last night
that if at first you do fall down, you can
(00:31):
still run and perhaps have a game winning touchdown.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Well done forever, Lawrence.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
It's a beautiful message. Beautiful message, beautiful message. Willie and
I were just talking about some beautiful game last night.
I'd say it about a nine point three on the
Monday night football scale. And there is a one time
league MVP who is like right out the door, right
there with a very special friend, and we're all going
to come in here and.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Talk about it.
Speaker 5 (00:52):
All kinds of things going on.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
It is a great day.
Speaker 6 (00:56):
To watch Good Morning Football.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
It starts a show.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Yeah, let's do it, JMFB.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Everybody get in here on a Tuesday, very busy Tuesday,
a lot of business to attend to. And in by business,
I mean various things that you could decorate your condominium with.
If you are a running back or a ball carrier
of any sorts in the NFL, perhaps you will win
an Angry Run sceptor this week, Kyle, I had the
great privilege last week of hand delivering a scepter to
(01:38):
an LA Chargers player. That was quite fun. Thanks for
the availability to.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Do that, No, thanks to you. You did a wonderful job.
We'll talk about that in a couple of segments from now,
and I Jamie, we might have to don it every single week,
but this time, I think you're going to have to
get on a plane this week because I don't think
we're going to have a Los Angeles based winner.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
And that's never stopped you before.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Now, in fact, will you be going to I don't know,
Duval County to award the winner of Angry Runs.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Don't know, but you know, for a Monday night, I
wanted to get a Angry Run scepter nominee. I love
when you have to do the throw in the last
minute nominee I did.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Let's get into it.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Let's roll at Kansas City versus Jacksonville down in Duball County.
All right, the Jags got a different swagger through him. Really,
three and one gotta love it. Monday night football. Gotta
show up, Jaguars.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Thirty seconds left, no timeouts.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Lawrence falls, he falls again, He gets up.
Speaker 6 (02:31):
And he runs it in and the game is over.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
And unbelievable display, as Joe Buck said, one of the
more exciting one yard runs you'll ever see. I can't
believe all that happened in that if Lauren said afterwards.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
We need to many timeouts.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
So if I get tapped it like we're in trouble.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
He was just gonna try to throw it out the
back them zone. But then he's like, I got up
and there was a lane.
Speaker 7 (02:52):
He also was going to try to throw it out
a bounds, but he recognized there's nobody around going there.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
You had to do something.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
He doesn't just fall, He falls twice. He fell after
the falls, and then he rose as all of Jacksonville did.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Guys.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
But Jacksonville Jaguars won. They beat the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Look at that record next to the Jaguars, never mind
the one next to the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
We'll talk about that later. Four and one.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Four and one, let's hear from both starting quarterback. Aw
we do this normally, it's the Victoria fact from home,
no law, it's won.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
And then we'll get to Pat.
Speaker 8 (03:22):
So, I mean, I'm just panic, honestly, because I was
trying to get up to get the ball out of
my hand, so the clock, I mean, we didn't have
any time else, so just try. I was really gonna
just stand up and like launch it out of the
back of the end zone. But then I had a
little bit of a lane, so I took it, and
you know, scored from there.
Speaker 9 (03:37):
Such you know, you let a game slip away. Credited him.
They played hard, and they played hard the entire game,
and they got a lot of good football players and
they closed out there at the end. And so it's
still such whenever you get ahead of lead like that
and you know you're not able to hold it through
the rest of the game.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Just a remarkable way to cap off Week five. For
the first time ever. In watching all these guys quarterback,
you saw Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts all
lose in a weekend and Trevor Laura and says, Kyle
just said rose as all of Jacksonville did.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
That was a heck of a quote, Kyle, Well done.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
MANSI what would you take away from the Jaguars triumphant
Monday night phone?
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Let's talk about Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Guys, I think it was a tail of two halves
for me.
Speaker 10 (04:16):
When I look at Trevor Lawrence the first half, he
had a little bit of mishaps.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
He had that illegal forward pass early.
Speaker 10 (04:22):
Then he had that goal line where he stretched the
ball over.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
That's a huge no no.
Speaker 10 (04:26):
But if you're going to stretch the ball over, you
see so many times quarterbacks stretcher real quick and then
pull it back. He just kept that thing out there
and hope that somebody wouldn't hit it. Well, Nick Bolton
hits it, and he fombs the ball and then he
tries to audible within five seconds and gets a delay
of games. This is a whole bunch of stuff that
happened in the first half for Trevor Lawrence. But then
second half comes along and Liam Cohen is in his
(04:48):
interview before the third quarter starts and he says, the
quarterback we just got to take a deep breath.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well, lim Cohen and Trevor Lawrence did.
Speaker 10 (04:56):
More than that because he comes out, he scrambles for
his first touchdown in the third quarter, he throws his
bomb to Thomas Junior on.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
A game winning drive.
Speaker 10 (05:04):
He has a game winning scramble for a TD and
it definitely was a scramble.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
I've never seen somebody fall down.
Speaker 10 (05:09):
Get back up, break a bunch of tackles and score
the and score the game winning touchdowns. So when it
comes to Trevor Lawrence, I thought he did well in responding.
The first half, he looked a little bit uncomfortable, but
the second half it looked like he settled in and
made some key plays to lead his team to a victory. So, Willie,
that was my biggest takeaway was Trevor Lawrence being able
to respond in the second half and lead his team
(05:31):
to win.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
For the Jags, this wasn't about just beating the Chief.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
This was about making the critics take their bottom lip
and connect it with their upper lipt and tell him
to shut the hell up. The Jags are for real.
You win on Monday night and you play in the
fashion in which they played, it makes you a believer.
Because we all sat here and watched the Jags before.
If they go down fourteen, four down fourteen early in
the past, they'll lay down.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
This team never lay down.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
You talk about the offense for the Jags, man, I
thought it was great to see Trevor Lawrence and Brian
Thomas Junior finally on the same page. It was great
to see Travis Hunter pop off the tape.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
He has to get more involved in the offense.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
And you look at this defense, who was horrible last
year now be the backbone of this team.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
And they lead the league in takeaway So.
Speaker 7 (06:12):
When you put it all together, man, I think for
most of the league they used to think wins exist
down in due vall.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Right, the Jags are easy out, not no more. This
team looks like a playoff contender.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
And you got to give credit to Liam cohen Man
because we've all sat here and watched that clip of
him saying duvall and it was cringeworthy.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
The Jags are series.
Speaker 7 (06:32):
They beat the Niners, they beat the Chiefs on Monday night,
and they're only getting stronger.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
So congratulations to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
It's just a question for us out here. I think
we just have to ask it.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Who's ready for that Jags Colts AFC title game.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Baby, let's.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Just like we predicted Jags Colts.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Listen that night for Trevor Lawrence, that drive for Trevor
Lawrence that touched on. I feel like we've been waiting
over four years for that. We've been waiting and we've
been waiting, and we've been waiting, and I almost think
it was almost symbolic. And the fact that he fell
first and he stumbled and he wrote and he scored,
it's almost like we're seeing that right now play out.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
In his career.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
It felt like a movie and it was like everything
his career has been. Listen, it's been four plus years
and a whole bunch of coaches down there in sleeping
media market number thirty two, and no one really cares
because it's quiet and it's out of sight, out of mind.
And we were told this was the Prince's promised quarterback,
the generational, this generational, that that was.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
A big, big, big time drive.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Now listen, it was aided by a dumb kickoff by
Harrison Bucker and a penalty, but I don't care. We
have fireworks in the background of Jacksonville as the number
one overall pick is celebrating a win over Patrick Mahomes
and the Chiefs who own the AFC.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
That is a big, big deal, and.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
I'm happy for Trevor Lawrence and I'm even happier for
his head coach that made it happen.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Let's remember Liam Cohen.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
This is a guy who is a journeyman dude who
has always been liked, who's been on twelve different stops
in fifteen.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
Years of his coaching career. Twelve stops in fifteen years.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
He finally gets to become a head coach, and within
twelve seconds of getting this dream job and getting tossed
the keys, he comes to the dais he tries to
say something nice and play to the local media and
he does this.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Dude, All.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Okay, everybody laughs, everybody says clown, cringe, cringe, cringe, cringe, cringe.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Ha ha ha ha ha cringe.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
You want to see what Liam Cohne's doing, now roll it.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
It was pretty good.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Let me ask you, all the people who are calling
him cringe clown? Is your head coach doing that? Is
your team four and one? How's your team doing? I
bet they suck? I bet they're terrible. I bet you're
already looking at mock drafts for next year.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
Everything is cringe, You're so cool?
Speaker 1 (08:54):
How dare he try to endear himself to the fan
base and try to go with the catchphrase he's a
football guy, He's not an entertainer. Of course it came
out awkwardly. Judge him for the football and the resume.
And by the way, the foot in the resume are
now getting added to as the guy who's finally going
to unlock Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 5 (09:09):
That Doug Peterson who has.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
The Super Bowl ring and a statue, couldn't do that.
Irvin Meyer, who's everybody kisses his butt all day like
his gods get the football, couldn't do And now the
guy who said duval he's four and one. He's celebrating
in the locker room of a team that just beat
the raining AFC Champs.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
Not everything is cringe. Okay, you know what I think
is cringe?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Cringe.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
I know a lot of you're watching this right now,
and creton, this is cringe.
Speaker 6 (09:31):
Go ahead.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Anything that's not the coolest, most hippous.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Thing of all time cringe.
Speaker 6 (09:36):
Cringe. Cringe.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
It's one of the worst words in our society right now.
It is limiting, It is redundant, it is reductive, It
is everything terrible. If you're going online and calling people cringe,
you're cringe. And if you're going online and saying Liam
Cohne is cringe. He goes online it says I'm four
and one and I just beat the Chiefs. What did
your team do? I love Liam Cohn God bless him. Duvall,
I'll say it again, I don't care Duvall.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Four one just beat my home better than your team.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
What do you got to say now, Kyle just canceled
cringe like just two of the worst we did.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
I think he did.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
I think it was well done.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
You preliminating words in the world. I hate that word.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Okay, noted, take it out and put it on the list.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Okay, X factors are cringe.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Okay, just add it to GMFB things that we do
not say.
Speaker 5 (10:26):
Moving on, Well done, Kyle.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
That is the AFC South is fascinating and we are
going to talk about you. Don't you worry. But we
got to look at one of the quarterbacks that I
mentioned at the start of the show, the Jalen Hurts
led Philadelphia Eagles. Tom Pella Sero joining US now is.
The Eagles are on a short week after their disappointing
loss of the Denver Broncos on Sunday. However, tom they
might have to navigate life without one of their top
offensive weapons that Jalen Hurts enjoys handing the ball off
(10:50):
to what's going on.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Well, Jamie.
Speaker 11 (10:52):
Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was listed as did not
participate on the estimated injury report on Monday. They did
not actually practice. This is an estimation if they did,
whether Saquon would have been out there, which he would
not have. Now, from my understanding, it's not time to
press the panic button on Saquon at this point. Our
Ian Rappaport reported yesterday Saquon was dealing with general soreness
(11:15):
coming off that game on Sunday against the Broncos. Fully
expects to play on Thursday night, but these short weeks can.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Be unusual at times.
Speaker 11 (11:24):
Team don't practice a ton in between those games. Is
certainly something worth monitoring at a time that Eagles offense
is trying to find their footing. Bad news on Chargers
running back Omarion Hampton. He is headed to injury reserve,
according to Jim Harbaugh, as a result of the ankle
injury that he suffered on Sunday against Washington that puts
(11:44):
Hampton out for a minimum of four games and leaves
the Chargers without their top two running backs now Gie
Harris of course out for the season because of a
torn achilles now Omrion Hampton sent to miss a month
or more.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
They do have.
Speaker 11 (11:57):
Kamani Baidah on the practice squad he has played recently here.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
The only healthy running back, though, on the.
Speaker 11 (12:01):
Active roster, is Hasan Haskins, potentially a position that the
Chargers could look to add to sometime over the next
several weeks prior to the trade deadline. Also bad news
on Lions quarterback Terry on Arnold, who is out indefinitely
because of his shoulder injury that he's been dealing with
for a while and aggravated once again knocking him out
(12:22):
of a game on Sunday against the Bengals. Dan Campbell
said this is not going to be a short term absence.
He is going to be out for a while. My
understanding is this is likely a season ending injury for
Terry on Arnold, but he is still getting additional medical opinions.
Should have more information on that for the moment, the Lions,
already without DJ Reid, now lose Terry On Arnold, who
(12:44):
has been covering opponents number one receivers more often than
not since he was a first round pick last year.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Jamie, all right, welcome back to New York City. We
are at capacity here in our New York condo because
we have two very cool people here there, the hosts
of the new sports talk show one oh six and
Sports Premiere's next one day I'm b e t at
ten pm Eastern and you're going to watch it is
CBS sports analysts and reporter Ashley Nicole Moss and.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Number one Cam Newton.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Guys, welcome, How are we?
Speaker 3 (13:18):
We look good?
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Everyone looks great.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Caim, You're getting all fit up and everything you feel?
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Okay, You're good. You're ready to roll? Think so okay? Good? Think?
Speaker 12 (13:25):
So that espresso you know, just not kicking in obviously
my dog.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
No, yeah, you got to get your more.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
A the first of like six of them six espressos?
Is that how you roll?
Speaker 12 (13:36):
H Ashley is notorious for just growing out when I
give in it context.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
That is my Starbucks.
Speaker 12 (13:44):
Of matter of fact, we shouldn't we shouldn't shot out
any other brands that did not pay us. That's but
my coffee order typically when I go to coffee shops
is six shots of espresso and I sip it throughout
the day. That's that's just Sometimes I finish it, sometimes
I don't. But it comes off extremely aggressive when people
(14:07):
hear it, it's like, wait, what. When I first met Ashley,
she was like, listen, it's is judgment free zone.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
I'm not going to judge you.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
But here we are, it's still judgment. It's still judgment crazy.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
See, this is the kind of thing you're going to
get on one oh six in sports for sure. Chemistry
sports tangents tell us about the show, Actually.
Speaker 13 (14:28):
We're really excited. Cam and I did not work with
each other prior to the screen test, and it just
really went just couldn't have gone better honestly when we
tested together. And the show is going to take everything
you loved about one O six and Park, the culture,
the countdown, the live audience, but it's going to bring
it into the sports world and I think it's going
to be really exciting for people to be able to
(14:51):
have conversations that you don't hear typically on mainstream networks
when you think of sports, right and beet is getting
into a new avenue for them, and they're really excited
about it. Obviously, we have the EP of mav and
Lebe and we know what they have done in the industry.
So there's a lot of people behind the scenes and
in front of the camera who are really dedicated to
(15:11):
making this something special.
Speaker 7 (15:12):
This would be an easy question for Cam, but I
want to ask you, what's something about the NFL culture
right now that makes you excited.
Speaker 13 (15:18):
I mean, we were talking about this last night. The
amount of black starting quarterbacks in the NFL is really exciting.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
And what was the.
Speaker 13 (15:27):
Phrase you used yesterday when you were talking about the
quarterback position. I talk about it was a high intelligent.
Speaker 12 (15:35):
Well, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's an intelligent position.
Speaker 13 (15:38):
Yeah, and I think it's for a position that really
a lot of people thought black quarterbacks were unable to
do successfully in the professional league and even at the
collegiate level with certain programs. To see that kind of
change and to now be fifty percent of the quarterbacks
in the league, it's been a remorsing shift.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Maybe more.
Speaker 12 (15:58):
Yeah, I would say to that when I came into
the league, had Young was still was still.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
In the league.
Speaker 12 (16:07):
You had Michael Vick, obviously, Donovan McMahon. All those guys
is on the back end of their career. And whether
you're black, white, no matter. But this is the common denominator.
There's a lot of athletic quarterbacks in the NFL, and
(16:28):
when I came in, there wasn't a lot of people
like I was the minority. Not for race purposes, it's
a skill. So then to look around now, a guy
like Jared Golf is now the new minority. When you
see Matthew Stafford, even though has elite as he is
as a thrower, not a lot of guys look to
(16:51):
those guys as.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
We're going to get that right.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Even Trevor Lawrence last night, what about that guy.
Speaker 12 (17:00):
He's from He's from Georgia, Gainesville, Cartersville. I'm sorry, a
lot of a lot of product come out of Georgia.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
What do you laughing?
Speaker 5 (17:11):
Not?
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Will Well, it's good.
Speaker 7 (17:13):
The stable to the soil, he said, Hey, man, we
do it right where I'm from.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Speaking of loyal to the soil.
Speaker 12 (17:21):
We're having an ongoing weekly discussion discussion. We got Okay,
I have a Brooklyn girl right my dog from New
York as well, South bron.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
So Bronx, all the boroughs. So I'm saying to myself,
I'm like.
Speaker 12 (17:39):
Yo, if you so New York York, I'm a Dallas
Cowboys fan.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
I said, stop the nonsense, Like what do we.
Speaker 13 (17:47):
Can we also though, point out how good have been
it is for Dallas Cowboy fans to not only be
from Dallas, they are They're America's team.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Point, you can't be pro New York. I'm not the
only New York I'm.
Speaker 5 (18:04):
So.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
I know it's not just me. I'm on camp side,
like I'm where you're from. You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (18:10):
I do, I wear like a badge of honor.
Speaker 13 (18:13):
But the Cowboys were thrust upon me since birth.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
I had no choice.
Speaker 7 (18:16):
Sure it was the only Steelers fan, but I grew
up loving Lawrence Taylor.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
The Giants were everything from me.
Speaker 7 (18:22):
And it wasn't until I got drafted to Steelers obviously
played for the.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
Jets that I kind of had to turn my loyalty.
Speaker 13 (18:27):
But I'm see, but that's Dirck And I said that,
saying I had to use that argument on Cam. I said, well,
are you a Falcons fan? And he was like, but
it's different.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
I played, so you played.
Speaker 12 (18:37):
Different and then they were my division too, So it's like.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Philly, Philly plays in the general on this because you
got Dallas in New York, same division. Let's talk a
little Eagles because Camp. They're a very interesting team with
a very interesting quarterback.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
For sure, they just take a loss.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
There are lots of things going on. What's the state
of the nation of the Eagles for camp right now?
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Man listen off as a coordinator.
Speaker 12 (19:07):
Coach Patullo is a person that I have real questions for.
And it's not questions as in concern and like, Yo,
you don't need a job.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
It's like, Yo, how do you manage talent?
Speaker 14 (19:19):
You have a very capable quarterback that it looks like
from the optics that we've seen this, we're getting bare
minimum from Jalen Hurts is not asked to do as much.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
That's not to say that he's not capable. You have
an all pro running back, you have all Pro receivers
that's capable of doing these crazy lines. It's like, yo,
like how do you manage that talent around him?
Speaker 12 (19:45):
And you know, last week's performance is a little alarming,
having six sacs that's the most of or top for
most you know Jalen Hurt's career, but yes, it's talent management.
How do you really capsulate you know what our identity is?
Because last year it was evident they're going to run
(20:06):
the ball and they're going to make you understand that
they're going to control the on of scrimmage. Well now
this year is like a lot of in the windows.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
The hater and take cam is that he is a
passenger and that I love Jalen.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
There's a passenger.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Here's a passenger, and that like he has a running
game is the offensive line, and that maybe he couldn't
stand on his own like some other guys could.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Like no, no, no, no, that's not true.
Speaker 12 (20:33):
See my take with Jaylen Hurts is not that he's
a passenger seat driver. He's well and capable of driving
the car, fixing the car, polishing the car.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
He's just not asked to do that. And we look
at Jalen as a person.
Speaker 12 (20:49):
Who is so impactful and a person who's a good guy.
But then when you when you see a play, he's
not going to be rambunctious or voidstress of straight face.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
And and I think they had the same thing a J.
Speaker 12 (21:04):
Brown, You know, he we've seen a peaceful protest sort
of speak to try to get people's understanding of try
to get people's attentions.
Speaker 15 (21:13):
Like yo, I'm gonna read it, and cryptic tweet and
yeah there's still forward there far one.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
Well, you hit it right on the head because I
think there's any I think this.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Falls in along with you because A J.
Speaker 7 (21:29):
Brown, with everything that he offers, I think he's an alpha, right,
he's all dull and but there's a there's there's some
myths about him being selfish, a me guy. You was
a guy in your early in your career because you
were so I guess you were a big time you
were Hollywood, but there were some myths about your game.
Is there anything you he should be wanting to debunk
It's like you had to debunk through your career.
Speaker 9 (21:50):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
What are the people who really know him saying? Well,
they don't say much.
Speaker 12 (21:57):
Yeah, because everybody knows well from I've never heard nobody
say anything bad about A J. Brown, a coach, a teammate,
a person, a source has never said Cam Newton was
a bad teammate. Now and as you know, men Ashley
are going on these you know, different pressers and talking
(22:20):
about you know what our anticipation is for the show.
Me personally, I've always wanted to move people emotionally. So
whether you're seeing this and saying like, why does he
have this hat? On?
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Gotcha?
Speaker 16 (22:35):
Where do I get that hat? Ma chika hats like?
Either way, you have to be moved with the emotion
to look at me and to not feel nothing. I
did not do my job.
Speaker 12 (22:48):
I hand out And that's where you know when you
it impacts you or penetrates you, when whoa it makes
you feel in a certain type of way, when you
know somebody actually knows you and they're able to.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
Say, may you know what I'm running for three years?
That's not him?
Speaker 5 (23:11):
Ashley, you said down and you immediately.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Even before the segment started, you got opinions, you got takes,
You're trashed in Chicago pizza.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
Like you are.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
You are our show host with your own really strong opinions.
Tell us just a little more about cam is Camp.
He just said, you're going to get a reaction on
of me, the working experience, the discussion experien because we're
going to see that.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
I want to six and sports.
Speaker 13 (23:32):
I'm excited because I think Cam and I have a
lot of similarities, but I also think we're different, right.
He comes from the player aspect of now entering media.
I come from going to journalism school and being in
media in the more traditional sense, right. And I think
that that's a good balance, And I think we also
push each other to kind of venture into each side
a little bit more. Cam is never afraid to ruffle
(23:52):
some feathers, and that is something that he pushes.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Me to look for. You want to fuck them, but
he does it.
Speaker 13 (24:05):
It's not to invoke a particular reaction. It's genuinely just
how he is. And I've been telling everybody the Cam
Newton that you see on camera, I think, you know,
we're all so familiar with Canon and the football player
and who he was on the field, and it's super Cam,
it's Davin.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
You know, we all know that.
Speaker 13 (24:21):
But the Candon you guys see on camera as a
media personality is very much we is behind the seeds,
maybe just even more so.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Like it's constant jokes.
Speaker 13 (24:31):
Very serious when he has to headphones on when he
wants to get into the zone. But I think it's
a good balance of the two of us because we
come from different paths. He's very down South and very
East Coast. Yeah, yeah, he tries to get except for
your football.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Listen.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
The sign of a good segment is we wanted to
keep going and going, and the good news is it
does keep going, and it goes on one oh six
and Sports. It is next Wednesday. It's on b ET.
It's ten pm Eastern. You guys are a revelation. You're
gonna pluck a lot of feathers and we're gonna be.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Watching Love hang out with us.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Yeah, we're gonna come hang out with you. Look at
this picture right here.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
We got a basketball, we got a football, we got hats,
we got feathers, we got everything. Ashley, Nicole Moss and
our guy Cam Newton.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
We love you guys, and thank you so much. We're
so happy about the show. Any time they are, wave goodbye.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Everybody watch him one o six and Sports.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Get right here.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Dawson knocks.
Speaker 10 (25:33):
Every time I see Pachaco on Hunt, I just think
angry runs that segment.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
This guy who just lives angry check.
Speaker 12 (25:39):
Thank you for my six angry run except with cow
Muslow much appreciate.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
It, and you're thinking of the guy's name that does it.
But the angry runs I always want to be on that.
He can be an angry runner. Angry runner, that's what
I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Lets go, you're actually so you win the Sceptor Angry
Run scepter as running back and you want this.
Speaker 14 (25:58):
You want to be on the Angry Runs and have
an angry run.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
You know, they send you a cool sceptor, send you
a cool shirt. I took my anger on the fuel.
That was one thing I did. I had a fun
time doing it.
Speaker 17 (26:08):
Boom, you are looking live and Lord Manhattan and welcome
my friends.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Two Angry Runs in New York City. Let's start moving.
Let's start moving. Camera men, Paul, You're gonna end up on.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
The segment for the wrong reasons.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
I'm so excited this morning. We have a fantastic Angry Runs.
We got friends. That's the ABC Disney building. The ladies
are already lining up to watch the view. I'm sure
they loved me bellowing from here on the Angry terrace
before we start. Oh man, I'm spitting dust over here.
I gotta just have a delicious liquid.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Death right here to fuel the anger.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Oh it's always how we washed down the segment.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Ooah, let's go. First thing first, you know the Angry
Run Street Team.
Speaker 6 (26:54):
Those are friends and family.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
They were the official Angry Run shirt from homage and
they submit their pictures on the streets to try to
win something incredibly cool. Do you want to see the
runner ups in the winters this week?
Speaker 6 (27:04):
Of course you do. Bring it on in here. First,
we have my friends.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Oh yeah, this is Diego with a little baby blanket
in his mouth. This is Patricio with the football ones.
He looking over his shoulder and easy the mom with
an angry runs towels like, what are you guys doing?
Speaker 6 (27:23):
They're running angry, that's what they're doing. Next, this one's
blow in my mind.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
I've seen a lot of things in this same I've
never seen this.
Speaker 6 (27:28):
Yes, Caitlin out here in the shirt when twins the
babies are like twenty minutes old.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Congratulations on Jordan and Wren that she went out to
the football field. And don't sleep on Sky who's signally
for touchdown in the Travis Kelsey Jersey.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
Beautiful family.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
I love this.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
But are winners this week for the best Angry Run
Street Team submission.
Speaker 6 (27:51):
We go to the backyard. Bring them up right.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Now, our guys, our winners.
Speaker 6 (27:57):
Grandpa Ken, this is so awesome.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Watch it.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Grandpa Ken's got his bills helmet on his Angry Run shirt.
He's got his kids and his grandson Reese on his back.
We have a chief skeleton and a raven skeleton trying
to tackle him as he's got the sword and the
shed and the zoo. But this is everything I love.
And since it's the Chiefs and ravens, they're probably not
tackling them. Right here, look at a foot over run
(28:22):
res Grandpa?
Speaker 5 (28:23):
Can you are our winner?
Speaker 6 (28:25):
What does this mean?
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Winner? Win us?
Speaker 3 (28:26):
What?
Speaker 6 (28:26):
Here's the deal?
Speaker 1 (28:27):
You send us your angriest photos, your meanest mugs.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
You don't have to wear an Angry Runs T shirt to.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Qualify, but as you just saw, it doesn't hurt. What
you want to do is head over to homage dot
com and get the shirt. Each week a winner and
Angry Runs will be selected by me. That individual, in
this case, Grandpa Ken and Reese gets a one hundred
dollars Homage gift card one hundred buck gift cards. Great,
but that weekly winner also becomes eligible for the grand prize,
which is my friends two super Bowl tickets to Super
(28:54):
Bowl sixty and three nights in a hotel.
Speaker 6 (28:57):
Scan the QR code.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Scan the QR code like I said, or text Angry
Runs to six three five six three five for your
chance to win. When I get into my Angry Runs money,
it's hard for me to do the legal ease. The
terms and conditions might have full you know what I'm
talking about. Here's where I'm comfortable, here's my wheelhouse.
Speaker 6 (29:13):
We look at last.
Speaker 5 (29:13):
Week's winter kind of with a heavy heart.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Because that O'marion Hampton from the Los Angeles Chargers who
was awesome last week.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Awesome.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Have a look at what o'mar and Hampton did last week.
This feels like a long time ago Chargers Giants. This
isn't a contention for Angry Run of the Year boot.
Both boom pistons, pistons on pistons running through giants. Now,
a'mian is not into reserve now because you got banged up,
and we hate that. But what we love is Jim
Harbaugh freaking out. And when we send the scepter to
the Chargers' facilities, Yeah, baby, yes, o'maran, you get right.
(29:45):
You mount this thing on the wall and you strengthen
up like we know you will. Also, we had a
friend of the show. You might know where has Jamie
Erdahl went to the facility the bolt and hand delivered
it rolled in the video, look at Herdall. It's the
contrast of Jamie in her sweet wind suit is so
nice and so friendly, and it's something about anger.
Speaker 6 (30:03):
She's giving a and looking at me.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
He's amused, and he's boom mused, and he's inside enrage.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
About the souvenir.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
But Jamie, God's work. I love it.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
You've done this before it you'll do it again. And
guys A, Mari and Hampton, now that we are four
weeks into the season, joins what we called the Ring
of Anger. It says all our angry friends together and
one nice little horn of funny. Bring it up, Bring
up the ring of anger. There it is my nephew,
Cam Scataboo franchise quarterback Jordan Love, Jonathan Taylor and the
Colts ownership in the URSA family. And now O'mri and Hampton,
(30:36):
we're just building up our.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
Little case logic.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
CD holders.
Speaker 6 (30:41):
You bring out the CDs that you want, and today we.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
Will add to them, my friends, because.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
It is week five. Now we're stom to have another winner.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Gets you.
Speaker 6 (30:49):
Our first guy is I'm so excited. I haven't said
this all season.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Ready for them, But Jacko, but chack O, he was on.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
One last let's go as that.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
But Checko's doing friend in the segment who has never
won somehow someway just.
Speaker 6 (31:03):
Shoot up up the.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Gap and watch guys start to fall.
Speaker 6 (31:07):
I'm a Checko.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
There's something about the primetime lighte that a different look
at him, the big jet pound and the points, and
that's not it.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Watch him do it.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Again and this time his bonnet's gonna come out. Yes,
I think you lost your bonnet.
Speaker 6 (31:19):
Baby, Look at it?
Speaker 1 (31:20):
What the mouth card hanging out like a tongue out
of a salamander. But jack go bu Jacko? Is this
gonna be the week? But Checko finally wins. It Is
this Susan Lucci winning.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
His daytime Emmy for all my children?
Speaker 6 (31:33):
Or will it go on? I love ha Yes, I.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Want to kiss the screen, but we must advance.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
No comic relief. Everything's coming up Colts right now.
Speaker 5 (31:44):
How do I know that?
Speaker 6 (31:45):
Because even at the.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
End of games, nonsense like this is happening.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
Give me Anthony Richardson.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Now enough But Checko, He's had his moment.
Speaker 6 (31:53):
Richards has dropped back to patch.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
It gets deflected.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
Watch this thing.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
Pause right here.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
This ball in the air ends in a nine yard game.
Speaker 6 (32:00):
Can you find it?
Speaker 1 (32:01):
He can, He catches it and never going, ever going,
and we're going and we're still going.
Speaker 6 (32:06):
Unbelievable effort. Look at that.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
The knees are puppy. He's actually crawling on his knees
like he's in gym class. Daniel Jones Slick Golf Clubs
are the twenty twenty five Colts, the best team.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
Of all time.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
He throws it up in the air and it results
in a nine yard game.
Speaker 6 (32:23):
Roleless and unbelievable things.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Guys are just standing around and watching, like, Oh, we're
gonna fight, Why the hell not, Let's push him. Everything
coming up Colts right now. This is a hilarious play
at the end of game that should have been a disaster,
and in other years it would have been.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
Not this year.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Look at the knee pump and we showed Daniel Jones
on the sideline.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
Here's old friends of the segment.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Daniel Jones, give me the scepter pick right now.
Speaker 6 (32:43):
Daniel Jones shook.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Fisting internationally when he was in Germany with the flag.
He think he's the only Coats quarterback who got one?
Speaker 6 (32:50):
Give me the next picture. Last year, the Colts will
go too deep. Look at Richardson, regal.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
And dignified, absolutely incredible. Find me another team who's top
two quarterbacks have a scepter. I don't think he can,
but we had to say we gotta go to one more.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
Let me causs my breath.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
My my gosh, the cardio is going so fast as
you get older.
Speaker 6 (33:11):
I got a tweet on Sunday. I got a tweet
from the NFL team. Bring up the tweet because I
like to call your attention to this.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
If teams call me out from the official team Twitter
like this at Panthers, that's no knockoff, that's no podcast
or another who folds Rico was on a rampage.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
If you call my attention, it better be good. Don't
bring me to some run.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
It's just a little nonsense.
Speaker 6 (33:32):
Let's see what Rico Dowdad was doing, shall we?
Speaker 1 (33:35):
If you know mine, roll Tho Rico and it is
indeed a rampage, not like the terrible Dwayne Johnson movie.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
The video game where you can.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Take a wall for a lizard or a giant eight.
Look at these dolphins display right here. Doesn't end in
a tackle, guys, he ends a complete wake of destruction
behind him. He is like a giant boat the sass dowdle,
and they're like actual dolphins swimming along next to the boat.
Speaker 6 (34:03):
Doing nothing to stop it.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Ricododdo I have to apologize?
Speaker 6 (34:08):
Ric O'donndo.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Maybe I was not as familiar as I should have
been with your game, but I am now.
Speaker 6 (34:12):
This is through the heart of the defense.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
In the context of a massive day. How did none
of them tackle him because Rico said not to? Dave
like Gerardo Rico suab early ninety shot out of you
know it?
Speaker 6 (34:25):
You know it, ric o'donald.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
The fact that this did not end in a tackle
is so awesome and so strong, and I love you
so much.
Speaker 6 (34:32):
I liked it.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
I'm talking Panthers. They had a really big win. They
have a really good running back. Was it good enough
to beat though? Anthony Richardson with comic relief at the
end of the game against the Raiders and Pocheck.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
I go to Los Angeles as I quenched.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
My thirst once again, and I want to hear my
friend's opinions as I throw the card off.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
On the terrace. What do you guys got in La I.
Speaker 10 (34:54):
Got if I got to choose between three great choices, KB,
I gotta go with Rico Daudo, now only with your
rampage in his style, but he was a rampage in stats.
I'm probably one of the performances by Carolina Panther's running
backs at twenty twelve.
Speaker 5 (35:07):
So I got Ricodonaldo and that's my choice.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
I have a very refined selection process. I always like
to try to go with a winner. I like to
stay away from scrums, just moving forward. So I too
will go with the winner in Rico Dowdle. Way to go, Kyle, Plus,
I like how you said l Rico and rampage no worthly.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
I'm going with Isaiah Pacheco.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
We got his helm and knocked off, looking to the camera,
dreads flowing down his face.
Speaker 5 (35:30):
Ain't erg zood through his eyes?
Speaker 7 (35:32):
I got Isaiah Pochecko.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
As I have said for years now, when the Pacheco
Angry Run winner happens, we are gonna know there is
gonna be no discussion, no deliberation.
Speaker 6 (35:44):
It will just be done and it'll be the best
one of the year.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
It is not today because you know what I'm excited
to say I'm excited to say that one Carolina Panther
followed their slogan and kept pounding its. Rico ricoddal gets
the scepter.
Speaker 6 (36:00):
The Panthers get the whip. New York City?
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Are you big fans of Ricodado? Shut up, buddy, you know.
Rico o'donald gets the step there, I'm going down.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
To the bottom here, and we say angry run boom,
See you next week.
