Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good Football.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
That's right, this is Good Morning Football.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Welcome inside, everybody.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
We are presented by Old Chapper, Beach Jerky, Live in
LA and Live in New York. It's Tuesday, January fourteenth.
Here's aklarbaj B Miller. There's Peter Schrager. Here's Kyle Branton's
Angry Runs jacket. We well great, I'm Jamie Urdall.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
We're back. We're here. What's happening everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
We'll make sure everybody knows. Jamie. Last night mats to
the game and you were back.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I went yesterday. You saw me on the show. I
was in this chair. This is We're in Los Angeles.
Last night you saw me in Arizona, in Glendale, was
at the game. Now I'm back in this chair in
Los Angeles. This all happened. We have stories, we have pictures.
I brought a gift back for everybody on joy I did.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yes, it's a little submish.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
And that would be a gift to the audience, right,
Peter Schrager, you fired up, buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I am.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
I feel bad for Jamie. It has been a fun
ride for the Vikings. It will not be the gift
of a w for her Minnesota team, but there is
the experience of a lifetime, and I'm.

Speaker 6 (01:18):
Sure we'll hit it all.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
But what a game last night?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
The Rams loot they did?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Should we do it? Should we do it? Peter said,
it's a hell of a game.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
I want to know what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
It was also a terrible game, depending on what you
like out of your game.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
So it was supposed to be play one hundred fet
from where we're sitting right now. Due to wildfires, they
moved it too Arizona. The response and the pageantry was
incredible and appropriate, and they return home happy twenty seven
to whatever the Rams win the Vikings. Go on a
lot of questions to be asked about the Vikings. In fact,
I'm not even sure that's true. They might have already
been answered. We'll get into it, but let's hear it

(01:55):
from the winning quarterback, and let's also here from head
coach of the Vikings, Kevin O'Connell.

Speaker 7 (02:01):
Yeah, it was awesome, unbelievable show support that we got
from the fans today. Can't say enough about that, can't
say enough about our organization. How well, you know they
treated us in our family, you know, our families this
week in a tough week. Just proud of this group
and happy that we could come out and play the
way we did tonight. You know, give give the people
back home something something to cheer about for a little bit.

Speaker 8 (02:21):
I think it's very important we all think about, you know, Sam's.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Body of work, what he was able to.

Speaker 8 (02:26):
Do this year when not very many people thought he
would be able to lead a team to fourteen wins.
I'm very rare for a quarterback in their first year.
In fact, it is rare the most wins by a
first year quarterback.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Proud of.

Speaker 8 (02:41):
You know, really everybody in that locker room. But Sam
and the journey him and I went on this year
will always you know, be a you know something that's
a special place in my heart for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
All Right.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
The weekend is set so early on Saturday, early is
relative four thirty Eastern. The Chiefs began there quest for
a three p in the playoff round. They host the Texans.
Then at night we go to Detroit. We go to
Motown where Jaden Daniels and the Washington Commanders travel Detroit
to play the Lions. Sunday afternoon, three pm, Turrico Collinsworth

(03:17):
in Stark Rams at Eagles, the rematch of a game
they had earlier this season where the Eagles ran through
the Rams at so Far and then the granddaddy of
them all, Ravens at Bills on CBS.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
The Division Round is set.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
It's the best weekend of the year and we have
our final eight in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah, those logos just look right.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
You got a relative newcomer to the group with the
Washington Commander, some oldies book goodies, and the Bills and
the Ravens. But the fact that La now has to
travel cross country to go to Philadelphia after beating up
on the Minnesota Vikings and what would have been a
home game. But the things that the Rams had to
go through to pull off what they did in Glendale
last night is something to be talked about. It was

(04:00):
completely amazing. And then the game started. Peter, your thoughts
on last night's game and how the Rams handled their business, Well,
it's a great way.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
To set me up, Jamie, because I think that's the
way to go about it.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
On the field, it was amazing.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
They had nine sacks, They had six sacks in the
first half, every one of the sacks was for negative
yards and then Stafford comes out and he's ten of
ten to start the game. Guys, the stat I have here.
Matthew Stafford is now eighteen and three as a Los
Angeles Ram in the months of December, January, and February.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Matthew Stafford is.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
One of the best quarterbacks when it matters in this
generation of professional football.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
And he was lights out.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
The offense really only accounted for twenty one points because
I guess you had the fumble recovery and the touchdown,
but it was never in doubt and it was just
a thing of beauty on the field. If you're a
RAM supporter, and if you know what the strategy.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Was football wise. The strategy football wise.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Was we're going to sacrifice a chance at the three
seed because we're gonna get our guys healthy and rested
in week eighteen, and that's exactly what they did. Stafford
had not looked good in those final few games that
they've played. He looked amazing last night. The week off
actually mattered. Kyen Williams of the League in rushing attempts
was awesome. Nikua is a collision course waiting to happen.

(05:24):
He was great, and Cup had a couple amazing catches.
That's not the Rams team we saw in Week sixteen
and seventeen. Week eighteen, they have the rest, but I
want to peel the onion back.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
As Jamie mentioned it, this.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Is going to be a hot take, and I haven't spoken.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
To my Rams so morning. It's early.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
I think, with the exception of the Super Bowl, this
might have been the most dramatic Rams win from an
organizational standpoint that they've had since the move back to LA.
And that includes an NFC Championship win over the hated Niners.
It includes a win in Tampa over Tom Brady where
Stafford throws the no look across the middle to Cup.

(06:01):
Just to think about what this organization has gone through
the last week, really the last seventy two hours, packing
up an entire organization, and not just the players and
the coaches, talking about in stadium entertainment. We're talking about
support staff to make that feel as much of a
home game as possible, and then the backdrop of what

(06:21):
those individuals were leaving back at home in LA. You
start off with Andrew Whitworth, given that speech, you have
Aaron Donald in the building Warren g performs in a
commercial break. It's one of the deals where everybody had
to be completely invested. And that's not just the players.
It's everyone from support staff to the people on the

(06:43):
business side, to the people who make the game day
operations work. And they had to be at their very best.
And that's what McVeigh always says, and I talked to
them often, it's be your very best when your best
is mattered most. And that's what every single person at
organization was. That was an organizational win. That wasn't a
win for Stafford and Nikua. That was for everybody, from

(07:04):
Kelly Stafford organizing the buses, to the people on the
grounds who got them on the buses, to everyone who
enjoyed that flight back. That was an organizational victory and
it was huge for the city of la and it
was huge for the Rams franchise, maybe their biggest win
outside of the Rams Super Bowl victory.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
That was Oh, by the way, held that so far.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
Congrats to the Rams, and we'll we'll talk Donald or
I'll talk Donald all week long and.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
We'll get into O'Connell.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
But this was a cool moment for that city and
kudos to the folks.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
Who worked for that team totally.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Peter.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
There were a lot of people who I came across
last night who were like, we became forged together bringing
this game to Glendale, Like that is how big of
a lift it was for so many departments. People were
bleary eyed. We just saw the fan buses roll in
here at three point thirty in the morning.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
To get back to so far after they took off
after the game. It was awesome, Peter.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
Wilson, Yeah, it is.

Speaker 9 (07:56):
And you think about too from the player's perspective, just
you know, all of the change and where you get
all the support and people on both sides, and even
for the Bidwell family, everybody coming in to kind of
help out given the circumstances.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
But you know, for.

Speaker 9 (08:10):
Players, that's extremely difficult when you have to get out
of your element. You're dealing with natural disasters, you're dealing
with being out of your home area where this is
supposed to be the advantage.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
And then for the Rams to.

Speaker 9 (08:22):
Step up the way they stepped up was just it
shows the resilience, It shows the type of coaching and
the type of players that they have in this locker room.
And defensively, They absolutely dominated upfront. You know, when you
think about what they did upfront, and when you look
at all the sacks nine sacks in this game, you
would think based off of how much and how often

(08:43):
they were getting to the quarterback, they were just blitzed
all the time. But they weren't really. Chrishula only really
sent blitz about eighteen percent of the time. They were
winning this with the line game with one on one
pass rush. This time you see Kobe Turner coming off
the edge. They were utilizing all sorts of pressure at times.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Man.

Speaker 9 (09:02):
But I'll tell you the real reason why was the
unity between the backfield and upfront. They were locking in
the secondary group when they were man a man.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
They were locking these guys down. Sam Donald had nowhere
to go.

Speaker 9 (09:14):
He was just kind of sitting there looking and you
look at how often he was holding the ball.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
It was like, man, like, you gotta let go, but
he had nowhere to throw it.

Speaker 9 (09:22):
I'll tell you, Chris Shuler did what Brian Flores was
trying to accomplish in his game. He sent blitz sixty
nine percent of the time.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
He was seeing a.

Speaker 9 (09:31):
Lot of pressure and yet Chris Shuler was able to
accomplish with his guys by just winning the one on
one matchup and made it a nightmare for Sam Donald.
That was a hard game to watch, but exciting for
a guy who loves defensive football and likes watching a
bunch of secks.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Credits to the whole Rams staff, But like I, this
was a McVeigh masterpiece from start to finish. And Peter,
you talked a lot about the Rams history.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
So many of the Rams playoff games and even.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
The Super Bowl really close, like nail biers right down
at the end, and who can pull it out? This
is an annihilation from start to finish. I've said this
to you guys a thousand times. Tweeted it in the
second quarter Sean McVay is the best coach in the NFL. Now,
you guys have heard it a thousand times. Some people
online did not like hearing this. Not a lot of pushback,
the usual stuff that on this drug and that drug,
and they should do my job, and this and that.

(10:18):
People saying things to me in foreign languages that I
don't understand, and I don't think are saying nice things.
I'm right, you guys, you don't understand. Let's remember that
this guy was in the Super Bowl at thirty two,
that he won the Super Bowl at thirty four. None
of you people saying that thought that the Rams were
going to make the playoffs last year they did. None
of you thought they'd be in the Divisional round this
year they are.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Do you understand when McVeigh and the Rams just did.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Kevin O'Connell is going to win Coach of the Year
in my opinion, he was just blown off the field
by McVeigh. Sam Donald was the story of the year,
maybe comeback player of the year. He was just blown
off the field by the McVay Rams. That was a
complete annihilation. If you want to sit here and stampord
foot for Andy Reid, I'm not going to disagree with you.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
We can debate it that in the offseason.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
He's the greatest maybe, but the single greatest single game
coach we have right now is Sean McVay. And I'll
go a step further. Okay, a couple of weeks ago,
you guys know I said this to the Rams. This
is before the playoffs started. This is probably week sixteen,
as my holy crap super Bowl team.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Now, what does that mean? I went to.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Rams Bills, I got to see them in Sofi Stadium,
and I came away from that game saying, you have
your favorites, of course, but if you were to throw
in right now with a dark horse, a snake in
the grass, whatever, someone maybe it's the Buccaneers, maybe it's
the Commanders, it's the Rams. For me, I said this
four weeks ago. I feel it even more strongly now
because if I would list four things, four things that
I want in a Super Bowl team, I saw all
four of them last night. Tell me if this sounds

(11:32):
like the Rams. Number one, they have a varsity quarterback,
he's been there. Number two a mad guy head coach,
not some up and comer, a mad guy.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Three we rushed the quarterback. Four we run the ball.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Check Are there anything that you see missing here for
the Rams? Because I see some teams out there, maybe
even the team the Rams play next that has two
of these, maybe three of these, definitely not all four.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I love this Rams team.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Do not think for a second you'll be shocked in
a couple weeks from I's like, holy crap, the Rams
are going to the super Bowl, not the title game,
the Super Bowl. I still stick with my prediction, and
I don't feels like I'm picking this team in that team.
I just love where they're going right now. And if
you want to ride someone on the way up Lyon's
eagle shirt. This RAMS team has every single ingredient and
they just annihilated the Vikings. That was never a game,

(12:16):
start to finish, not a game.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
It's unbelievable. I felt.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
I felt embarrassed because I was truly all in on
the Vikings and the Vikings. The way they showed up
in this game, it was it was heartbreaking.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
The foreign language.

Speaker 9 (12:27):
Nobody said, mofaya met to you right? There might have
been a couple actually, oh yeah, that's not a good one.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
That I think it's multiple? What is it? Moaya?

Speaker 9 (12:33):
But I might have to say that is yodobad meanings.
Your head is spinning, you know, craps.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I might be done. I just might have uttered, so
I'm not been good folks. See I heard all we're saving.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
This, We're saving this. This is going to go down.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
And like if things change, if you want to reassign
this definition to a different team, if you want to adjust,
but like, this is it top four.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
This is your Kyle the Brands definition of what it is.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
What's your stuff.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Oh I got I got a lot to hear what
you have to say. We are working on DMTB. First
we got to listen to Tom Pelsaro. I'll got some coach.
I want to got to cover and then guys, I
got pictures. I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
I want to get to break so I can tell
my stories from last night, Tom Pee. What came out
of the game last night as the Rams move on
with their season.

Speaker 10 (13:15):
Jammie A great performance by the Rams, but a significant
loss in that game. Tight End Tyler Higbee went to
the hospital after being ruled out because of a chest
injury suffered in that win over the Vikings. Cochean McVay
said Higbee is in stable condition, but McVeigh added, I
think he's going to be okay. Maybe played a big

(13:35):
part led the team with fifty eight receiving yards in
that game. His status is going to be worth monitoring
in the coming days because remember this is a short
week and a cross country flight before Sunday's divisional playoff
game against the Eagles. In other news, Mike McCarthy and
the Dallas Cowboys have parted ways after five seasons together,

(13:56):
a surprise after last week there were several days of
meetings between Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones to talk about
the twenty twenty fourth season and.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
How they can go into the future.

Speaker 10 (14:06):
At that point, the expectation was they were going to
begin work on a new contract, but my understanding is
they could not agree on the years before they even
got into formal negotiations.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Beyond the years, it.

Speaker 10 (14:19):
Was about the commitment not just for Mike McCarthy but
his staff their families as well, after a very stressful
twenty twenty four season in which everybody was essentially on
a one year contract. So Mike McCarthy has twelve playoff
appearances in eighteen seasons as a head coach, won sixty
one percent of his games. He now drops in as
a very rarely accomplished coach in the middle of a

(14:41):
head coaching cycle. He is expected to interview for the Bears.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Job this week.

Speaker 10 (14:45):
Potentially other teams with Saints could be lurking as well.
Who ends up being the next head coach of the
Dallas Cowboys That work is just beginning in Dallas. They
cannot interview. A lot of the candidates that were had
interviews last week. Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Steves, Bagnola, Matt
and Agy. Because of the rules, they can't talk to
those guys until the and the lines are eliminated, or

(15:06):
if they're not eliminated, until after.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
The Super Bowl.

Speaker 10 (15:08):
Here one name that has surfaced no surprise, Colorado head
coach Dion Sanders. A former Cowboys star Jamie ri Ian
Rappaport reported last night there was.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
At least some mutual interest.

Speaker 10 (15:19):
Between these parties, a lot of moving parts involving buyouts
and otherwise this could be a slow burn here for
the next few weeks and downs.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
This exact exact track happened yesterday from la to Glendale
and back. Myself and two producers from GMFB, Gina Di
Sabatino and Kelly I. Goo, took off from lax. We
flew to Phoenix. We were on GMFB yesterday. We wrapped
at nine am. We were at the stadium in Glendale
by two pms.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Great.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
There were bags there, there was dancing. I was hugging
a post. It was it was fantastic. I played football
with some kids.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
It was awesome. It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
This experience was really important to us as a show
because we love having players, coaches and people from teams
on to GMFB during the week, but when we go
out and see everybody, it warms our hearts so much
because people really watch and they really love what we do,
and it just is such an awesome experience. We walk
back in this building in La at one am, Gina,

(16:19):
Kelly and I. So we were supposed to drive the Rams.
Super generous invited us to fly.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Back with unbelievable So thank you to the Rams, Kevin
Demoff and everybody that provided that for us.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
We feel safe and we're here and it's all good.
The Rams are awesome and everyone was very in a
very good mood. We flew back with the Mariachi band,
so I was with our guys, with our guys, the
La Rams Mariachi Band was great. There's Becky Ornstein and
Angela Elis from GMF. Thank you for letting us do this.
This is like my I produced a feature film, and

(16:50):
I'm thanking everybody before I show you my work that
I just poured my heart into. For the last twelve minutsdance,
the game was lopsided.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
We know that just happened.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
We just covered that in the first segment of GMFB.
The amount of joy that existed in Glendale, Arizona yesterday
between these two fan bases was unmatched.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
I don't know if it was just the respect.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
That the Vikings fans and the people that were there
had for the just everything that everyone was going through
in LA, but this was an awesome experience. It was
I would say sixty forty split. Sixty percent Rams fans
in the stadium, forty percent Vikings fans. People travel from
all over. Thirty forty buses from LA provided by the

(17:33):
Cronkys and the Demo family, and the Staffords of course
made the track.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
I met some of the people. It was this stunning.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Day and people were just so excited to watch football
and be there and support each other. So that's just
me outside. I am just living my best life. Then
they let me in the building and you can imagine
all the.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Hugs that I gave.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
That was Aaron Jones, That's Whoa.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
There's Big Wit. There's Aaron Donald. I got a skull
clap in.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
That's Quezi, the GM for the Vikings.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
There's Brian Flores mentioned tell us. I was so happy,
you guys.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
There is just a montage of me hugging everybody.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
That's just the that's where we started. Okay.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
I brought a little gift back for everybody, as I
mentioned before, And I didn't hug you when I got here,
And that's the gift in and of itself.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Do you think anyone ever says to Aaron Donald man,
you look.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Like you can still play right now?

Speaker 4 (18:26):
My god, it was amazing. This is amazing, Peter, your gift.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
First, I saw somebody who came right up to me.
You don't understand. We go watch these stadiums. I hear
three things. Oh how was the move to LA We
really love watching your show. And Peter's my guy. That's
always their thing.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I guess Peter's my guy.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
There was one person who approached me yesterday and said,
with the handshake, Peter's my guy. Bring up the picture.
Here's here's who I got. Very No, it's not Roger Goodell.
It's Sean mcvay's dad.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Oh my god, that's your guy.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
That's my guy.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
That's my guy. That's the legend. That's Tim McVeigh.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Better half, Cindy, I'm sure was there as well. Tim
McVay is the best. And I love that you saw.
How about that jacket? Nc Rams Tim McVay does not
miss a Rams game home or away. That guy is
at everything. Jamie, what was your interaction like with the
with the father of who Kyle said is the best

(19:23):
coach in all the football.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
We talked about his grand babies. Of course, he's got
Sean's son here in LA he's.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
Got one in Atlanta. And the fact I had my
two boys.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Now I got these two grand babies and their boys.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
It was so awesome.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Yeah, it was great.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
McVeigh.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
I wanted to be like, oh man, your boy strigger
at my kid's wedding was doing a congo line after
five gimblets.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
I want to hear his observations about.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Peter doing a love shack dance in the middle of
the McVeigh wedding.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
But no, Jamie, keep going this.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Okay, Kyle, you already spoiled it a little bit. But
then I played football with some kids and they did
They had the audacity.

Speaker 8 (19:53):
Kyle.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
This is my gift to you. This is my gift
to you. I tea these kuds. Let's go run around.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Look at what these waiting city.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
It wasn't just one of them, Kyle brand, It wasn't
just one.

Speaker 10 (20:06):
Of them.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Than them. That's at that point I know, I know.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Those kids again, the disrespectful thing that the kids are doing.

Speaker 9 (20:19):
Now, can we do this, soude because your back pedal
on that and can't get turned on that one?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
That was pretty important.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Somewhere boots that it was fine.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
But Jimmie, you're too short. I'm so short small. I
love that kid, great John kid.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
I walked up and said, hey, how you doing? You
guys know the too short thing? And they all looked
like me, like this, let's go all right, akbar, here
you go. You're you're a family man, talking about your
your grandpa and your dad and all this stuff I met.
I got into an elevator yesterday at the stadium and
this wonderful woman sitting in a wheelchair and I said.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Hi, how are you doing? Who are you here to see?
She said, my grandson? And I said, oh, who is
your grandson? Nakula pooh?

Speaker 3 (21:04):
He reser is Pukaa? Who is grandmother? And she flew
all the way from Rhode Island to be.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
At this game.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
This is the second game of Pukah's NFL career, only
the second that she has seen. The first was last month.
She flew to New York. Pukah's sister flew her, who
also lives in Ryland, to New York to see the Jets,
and she said that was so wonderful. Could somebody please
take me to see him play in the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (21:29):
And we were in the elevator together, guys.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
I rode like six floors up and down with Awa
Pooh Reeser and her granddaughter, Puka's sister, just to take
that photo and to catch up with her.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
What a lovely woman.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
And that video of Puka and I interacted on the field.
I had to just goes I just mixed your grandmother.
He just had the biggest smile on his face.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
So that one was your family man.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Like the Philadelphia area, Well, she said, it's.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
A little she doesn't like to go to the cold games.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
You know you had to go to the Jets.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah, so Peter, that was my day with the Rams.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
I know you're a couple of questions.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, you know me.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
I got the things right down here.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
One big embraced before the game from Aaron Aaron Donald,
how does he look?

Speaker 6 (22:08):
How does he sound?

Speaker 5 (22:09):
And as Kyle said, is he's still the same guy.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
That we remember.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
We didn't see him on the field for a year,
and then all a sudden he.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Was there at the game.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
He looks really happy, and I think it might be
because he's happily retired.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Like I think we need to stop being like.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Look great, you should come back, like he actually Aaron
Donald went up to the Mariachi band before we boord
to the plane and like hugged them all, and like
his wife went hugged.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Them all at one time, every single number, he and.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
His wife ran over and hugged the director like they
clearly were friends with the Mariachi band before when he
was a ram like this, he is one of the
warmest people I've ever been around, and that you could
tell in terms of the support for La and everything
happening here.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
They were thrilled that Aaron Donald was there.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Peer, I'm sure he supported it.

Speaker 5 (22:50):
Okay, yeah, one more question here, one more question from me.
You're traveling with two producers, the great Gina the Great Kelly.

Speaker 6 (22:59):
How was it with the talking on the plane to
work people.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
Did you do that or did you restrained Because a
lot of people like to go on a work trip
and just put the air pods on and say, okay,
we deal with each other all day. What was the
interaction like with those two fine it was wonderful producers
on this It was.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Like a beautiful ski slope.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
As the we started out here, we're planning, we got
social media thoughts, we had things we had to do,
and then as the day went on, we just kind
of did a slow like blue cruise.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Down the hill.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Like by the end, we didn't speak to each other.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
When we got.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Dropped off of this Sofi parking lot over here again
thank you for the rams, and we walked around the
building to walk in here at one am.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
There was no words.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
We just walked and we got in the building at
one am.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
We went, wait, no, I haven't been No, I slept
in the I slept in them were in the green
room on the couch for a.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Couple of hours. Jamie, this is your home now, this
is ye. I have actually have a source.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Jamie was sitting next to the guitar player in the
mariactual ban on the flight and she was asking him
about like his life and is what he does for
a living, and he was like not blowing glaze and
he turned He's like, I don't know what this lady's
talking about. Get me out of here, like seriously, we
got to play her off right now.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
That's how it went.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
That was I would do it again maybe in like
another five years. It was exhausting but thrilling. And the
Rams look great and I can't wait to see you season.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
No partying and.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
No party, Nope, nope, nope.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Listen, but one of the I wore an LA Strong
the Ram shirt all day yesterday, which was great. Fanatics
partnered with seventeen sports organizations in Los Angeles to create
these LA Strong collections. You saw us wearing them on
the show yesterday. I wore this thing all night, I
wore its home, and now I was just handed a
clean one because the one I wore again, I had

(24:39):
worn it for like twelve thirteen hours yesterday.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
There's Gina and Kelly, there are the producers, their clipprow.
This is available.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
This is available for purchase at Fanatics and Official League stores.
One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the American
Red Cross and the LA Fire Department Foundation. It was
this great job, mission, a mission accomplished there.

Speaker 8 (25:04):
Over here.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Dawson, not cal Bra will call this an angry run.
I've been thinking a guy's name that does it. But
the Angry Runs, I always want to be on night.
You're actually will win that the Angry Run scepter at

(25:27):
a running back. You want this. You want to be
on the Angry Runs and have an angry run.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
You know, they send you a cool sceptor, send you
a cool shirt, and.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
The golden scepter goes to my man, Naji Harris.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
We did it.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
It's going to Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Let's go Baby to you, my friend. My crowned Angry.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Runs presented by God as Angry Runs, Judgment Day, Angry
Runs agettin. You know how this works. I'm not even
gonna explain it. You also know that normally when we
do Angry Runs, we have nominees, sometimes four nominees for
the angriest run of the week. This week we have seven,

(26:10):
seven nominees.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
They said to me, we gotta pick four. No, we don't.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
We're gonna Angry run through the segment.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
It's perfect. It's meta.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
And to quote Hank Williams Junior, all my angry friends,
I comment over tonight, let's get after it down the stairs.
I've gone all season without falling. I don't plan to
start now. Guys, it's gonna be a long, long segment.
Some of you guys are gonna be shocked.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
You gotta hang in.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
But there's a segment for the people by the people
of the people, who are wearing the official Angry Run
shirt from Hamas dot Com. Look at my guy, Wes Peters.
This is a family affair.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
How beautifully Wisconsin is this? He got a lightsaber.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
It's the green late stage Luke lightsaber, which I respect.
A kid who seemed amused, a kid who seems thrilled,
a little scared. That's the sweet spot as a father. Next,
bring it up. This is my couple. I love this couple.
These are called married by Magic. I think they're like
married magicians. I wanna party with.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
These, dude.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
They got pools, fire and scepters and shirts and sequin dresses.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
I like them, and I like this even more.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Let me show you a ninety six year old Angry
Runs fan. Yeah wow, that is my girl, Mary Lou McNulty.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
In a Bobby Lane.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Jersey with a scepter and her daughter, lifelong fan Jenny
has the shirt and the lions already. Mary Lou, I
love you, sweetheart. I love that you watch I love
that you love your lions. You better buckle up because
I'm already.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Out of breath.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
We haven't even done one of seven. Here we go,
now many number one, Come with me over here. You
know this guy, he sent probably the coolest scepter pick
of the year. That is Joe Mixon of the Houston
Texans on the top of a hotel with his foot
up on the fire. Let's see what he did over
the weekend. Joe Mixon's already wanted this year. He can
win it again. Roll the video tape. Let's have a party,

(27:48):
give me the mixing video. Because he went against the Chargers.
He went on Nickelodeon and watched what he did. It's
pure that has a perfect stiff arm to the ear
hole and down he goes. This is like some of
the nastiest stuff we will ever see on Nickelodeon.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Joe Mixon said, Hey, dude.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Are you afraid of the dark, because I'm about to
explain it all to you, Like Clarissa, mixing is in.
He could win it. Would you mind going on a
little walk with me over to the corner because we
got business. Not sure if you've ever heard of this
running back before.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
We have a photograph. Has this guy ever done anything
in Angry Runs? Does this guy matter?

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Derek Bleepin' Henry does really nasty things. Nominee number two,
Dereck Henry roll the videotape.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Derrick Henry have the Poximore raves. You don't know he did,
He did huge things. Any Fark's got this upter earlier
this season.

Speaker 8 (28:37):
Thank you for my sake, Angry Runs, Seth macw much
love and much appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
Don't you just love how he's so friendly, much love,
much appreciate and then he does things like this and
this is so funny. I've been watching this for four days. Listen,
mak it Fitzpatrick.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I love you.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
I knew Alabama was down, but I didn't think they'd
be turning on each other. This is a full shot
and down he goes. He attacks Minca like someone with
a mink coat, and they just throw red paint on
him and terrible right there. Bamn, shame on you, shame
and look at the still shot.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Look at his thumb's almost going.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Up with damn nose and his mental fingers going through
his ear hole.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Make a I love your great player.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Derrick Henry, nasty mother the all time great. This could
be number seven for him? What if I told you,
do we have another Raven? Is it possible?

Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's likely?

Speaker 1 (29:28):
What is this photograph? Just drink this in for a second. Guys,
What in the name of dexter is going on here?
We got bodied parts and guys staring at him all evil.
Imagine being on the Ravens and not being Lamar and
not being Dereck Henry and still showing up in every runs.
Pro Isaiah likely?

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Proly? Isaya likely?

Speaker 1 (29:44):
This is why we have to do seven today because
I can't leave this filth out of this segment. And Nah,
it's fierce, It's violent as hell.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
I absolutely love it. That's my guy.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
It's like, you know, it's like when you're in Coachella
and the big names are on the main stage, Derick
Henry and Lamar, but sometimes a side stage seals the show.
It's like, Wow, rufus Wright's really killing it over there
in the Mohave tents. That's Isaiah likely.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
There's bigger names.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
I don't know if there's an angrier run. He's even
hitting himself because the Steelers couldn't do it, they're doing
it for them. Isaiah likely is him. That's number three.
Do you know this pair? Do you know this pair.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Western New York?

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Do you know the Shnowman and Jimbo.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
They're tag team.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
I love the tag teams that are one big guy,
one little guy, those kind of things like when you
go Team hell No, when you go Owen and Yoko
roll the video, when you go the Heart Foundation, when you.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Go jim the Anvil, Night Hearts and Bread, the.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Hit man Hart because here's a hit man.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
He's gonna start running. And then the Endvil comes in
and says, we're going this way. We're going.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Come on, baby, just follow me. That is the schnow
Man doing the schnow plow called mister Snowplow.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
That is my name.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
That name again is mister Snowplow. Seventy three. These guys
only show up as a tandem. They work together. You
cannot separate them. I love Buffalo, I love what they did,
and I would love to send two. We got twenty,
we got thirty of these things backstage. I'll get him away.
I'll give in to the Holo line. Jimbo, we only
have four? How many left do we have? I think
we have three left? And let me just hit a

(31:10):
quick time out. Let me hit the baverbial halftime. I
cannot believe the segment's not over. It's not even closed over.
I gotta take a load off, hold on, get that
getting there, Kyle, get back getting.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
There, No Kyle, the fleeping interview, get the heart.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
How what would you say to the people that say
you fit off more than you can choose the right?

Speaker 1 (31:39):
I'm gonna show I'm like the big guy in the steakhouse.
Somebody give me the hindlick. How many more do we have?
We have twenty more of these things? This is gonna
be the one that ends me. Peter, you're the talking
head on the Real Snarky Show. What's your thoughts about
the first half? Go ahead, unleash by.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
I think I think brand nails and those Nickelodeon references.
We would have also taken Rugrats, Doug or slewing your shorts.
He referenced Alabama with the mixed Fitzpatrick and Derek Henry
could have gone Nick Saban and you very easily could
have gone Shane Gillis there Alabama Jones or Sidney Thomas.
We played a round of golf with Hello Sidney.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
If you're watching Peter just going us from New York
and from his DM Sidney Thomas. All right, what I
kind of want to stay in that halftime? Well ready,
but here we go. Now we need something to cleanse
the palette. We need somebody else to talk for one second.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I'm a always thinking of safety. I don't really think
about safety in the segment much.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Let's go to someone else.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Let's go to a more esteemed journalist with the dulci
tones for our next nominee. We go to a friend
of the segment, mister Scott vanpel take it away ASVP.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Let's go that could.

Speaker 11 (32:43):
Come back to haunt you, particularly against a Packer team
that has shown the ability to fight back. And look
at this remarkable run. It's not my segment, it's Kyle's
Good Morning Football. Give that man the scepter. We give
you the sceptor, Scott. But we already did you know
what Josh Shacombs giving the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
He's giving him some bad beats, bad beat downs. Josh
Shakoms say, look, I know we're going to Cabo, but
if we're going to Cabo, we're going my way to Cabo.
Look at what happens here. He draggonim by the shirt.
He takes Cooper to g and throws them right out
of the cookout. You're gone, get out of here, and
he running it over everybody. They're trying to punch him.
That's a punch, he says, go ahead and punch it.
You're not taking the ball from me. I came to

(33:22):
play tonight.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
We might be going down, but I'm going down my.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Way and Josh Sakobs could win another scepter. I cannot
believe we have more nominees, but we do. You will
not believe this because we're going to fly.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
He goes fly. Look at this man. Look at this picture.
One of my favorite angry run sept A pictures. That's
Dallas Goddard. Look at this abrasion.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
That is what gets me out of bed in the morning.
That's nothing to him. That's a little nick in a
cut like he would shave me. But half of his
arm is gone. Dallas Goddard is a bad, bad mother.
Roll the video tape if you please. This is in
light in the game. You know this, He's gonna catch it.
I'm gonna truck you. Oh you're with me, punch you,
punch you. That was so gratuitous. God, is that beautifull.

(34:04):
He didn't need to do either of those. It's so
good because he was so deliberate. He wanted the violence,
he wanted the physicality. The same dude gets trucked Carrington Valentine.
This is the same Valentine's massacre and an unbelievable execution
by godd.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
You know what the best part is. He went on
the sideline. He looked up to the JumboTron, and he
did my job.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
This guy did an ad libbed angry runs on the
sideline in game, breaking down his own run.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Dallas did in here.

Speaker 10 (34:36):
For sure?

Speaker 2 (34:37):
This one? Now, why not?

Speaker 1 (34:41):
I'll slowed down so you can come agains home. I
slowed down so you can come and get some That
is my quote. You can have the I regret that
I have but one life to live for my country.
I will give back to Dallas coun I slowed down,
Catch up with me, Get up, Come on down, Dallas, Goddard,
this could be your day.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
How about a little respect? How about a rode of
applause for this man on the set run of a pause.
Baker Mayfield, You know.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
What, Baker Mayfield, we said to him, We said.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
You come back with your shield or on it.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
And he decided he's gonna play like Baker always plays,
one hundred percent. Let's go, Baker Mayfield's gonna run this thing.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
It was not Tampa's day.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
There were some big mistakes at the end of the game,
but watch on this one. The mistake here was for
them commanders to come in high.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
And that's right. Who was that? Who was that was that?

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Some guy from the practice squad pulled up? No, that
is Bobby Wagner. Can't thrown backwards.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Over a barrel.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
By look, by Baker Mayfield. That's not supposed to happen.
That's not ever supposed to happen. That is an incredible thing.
That's running overa Hall of Famer. This is this is
Jerome Betteth over Erlacker, except it's.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
A quarterback in a playoff game. Baker, he didn't win
that game.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
I don't know if you win another septy one one before.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
There is no one who does not respect the way.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
That you play, and I know for damn sure Bobby
Wagner does.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Guys, I could do ten more. That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
I don't want to stop gimmy another one, but I
have to we're.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
At the table.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Seven nominees, Wow, quickly mixing Henry Likely, Cook, Jacob's Goddard
and nay Field.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Give me something hard next time. What do we got? Kyle?

Speaker 4 (36:10):
You alluded to it.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
I'm alarmed you between run six and seven, you went
so far past the red you entered like a serene state.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
You got your breath again.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
In the marathon, were like a mile twenty three. They're like,
oh my god. I'm like, I'm come high. Yes, let's go. Yes,
thirty two of these things once for a team. But
who wins this thing? Got I do great?

Speaker 4 (36:30):
I go with a pure angry run. I go with
a team that won. My vote is with Isaiah Likely.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
I say likely, Wow, one of two Ravens.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
That'd be incredible and unprecedented choice.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
But he was nasty.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
I part baja be a Mila. I can't even say
your name.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
I can't do it all. That was hardly than I
feel likely.

Speaker 9 (36:47):
He bounced the defender like a basketball.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
But I gotta go with Dallas Goddard.

Speaker 9 (36:51):
Dallas Goddard with a double punch and this they come
on and gets up on the slow down to get
some You go here.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Here, and then you're not, yes, you do one more?
Why not?

Speaker 1 (37:00):
It was like kind of a cobra Kai Kai It's
Mortal Kombat.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
I even punch dock Bar.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
All right, Peter, let's go, baby, Come on, I'm gonna
come up here with you.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
You're in New York. I'm gonna la you look beautiful.
What do you think?

Speaker 5 (37:13):
I'm gonna go with the one who made the biggest
statement to me. It's not just me, it's me and
my boys. I'm going with James Cook and that Buffalo
Bill's offensive line.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Let's go Peter.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Excellent choice, excellent choice. He went with the Heart Foundation,
Jim Thendel Nightheartbreath that hit Matt Heart and Peter all
heart on this segment. The segment is for you. We
will never do this again. I literally punch dock Bar.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
My mistake. I think I might have broken a finger.

Speaker 9 (37:38):
No, no, my watch actually said hey, there's a report.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Did you fall? And I was like, no, no, it's
not in a Brozi. And you know what, I'm.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Sure Akbar has a very expensive watch.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Just ask him. All right, here we go.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
We have seven nominees, all worthy, all beautiful, all angry.
This is when you really have to split hairs and
get into what is the segment about. It is not
about the run, and it's not even really about the context.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
It is right here between the someone who.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
Decides to run angry and take no prisoners and maybe
be a little evil with it.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
This scepter.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Is going to the cradle of democracy in this country. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
Dallas goddards Hell, Yes, yes, with a shove, had a punch,
had a punch. If he didn't hit the end zone,
he would still be punching packers right now in the stands.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Reverie has to do it. Dallas.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
You are what the segment is all about. You were
in the segment intro. You had been for years, You
will be for years. Fly e go fly he henng
ur wy he goles angry boom, See you next week.
