Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
In this here piece of paper, I hold something very important.
I don't care what Kyle brand says. It's the completion
of week seven and we officially get to look at
the standings today. I care about the standings.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
It's Good Morning Football, everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Tuesday, October twenty First, Jamie here an altmantiteo in La
Willie Cologne, Super Bowl champion, sitting next to Kyle Brant
in New York. We saw the anger in scept he
handed out last hour. We got phone calls awaiting Kyle,
what else you got?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
We have myself here in New York City with Otto
the orange to my right. Here. If you if you
own that sweater and don't wear it in October, what
are you doing? You gotta wear I'll only wear it
in auxurd. It's the beautiful thing. Is the most orange
thing I have ever had, Seeming like I'm sitting next
to a home depot. Yeah, there is.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
The perfect All right, let's go, let's start the show.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trappers. Read
a live highlights and see how it goes. Huh two
games last night.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Let's do it. Let's get to the late game, which
I have a suspicion some people didn't get to see.
So we're going to try to tell you what happened.
The Texans started zero to three and they're trying to
get the backs to five hundred. The Seahawks don't have
those problems. They don't have quarterback problems. They really have
many problems at all. I mean, if you're not watching
Jackson's with a Jigba, maybe you know him because of fantasy,
know him in reality. He's great. And then my guys,

(01:38):
Zach Shovin ay fun to say, not fun to tackle.
He had two touchdowns last night. Seattle runs plays defense,
they have a quarterback and a hell of a home
crowd and one of the best receivers in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Andron's never really started for the Buccaneers offense. Tampa walking
in to Motor City. Jared Goff coming off a loss
in Kansas City last week, the Lions five and two,
twenty four nine, your final let's check in on what
we always like to call electric factory in the in
the Lion's locker.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Room, Mary coming up.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
Barnes, so good be back man Bright.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
That was a long recovery for me. Bro be back
lots of me, Man, I gotta man real, this really
goes to check man. He didn't put us defense in
a great position. Brother, go out and they played.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
You get it.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
I don't do somebody.

Speaker 7 (02:30):
All already know bro Haye without y'all bro forever in
the day. This leave then about players, always will be
about players. That's why aways a humor for me to
take this job. Fellas, It's only the beginning. Do y'all
see how who we can do? So it don't matter
nameless spaces. We don't give a We line up and
play anywhere. I love out of y'all, Man, I appreciate
the fut of each and every.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
One of y'all.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
De boys, is your.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
That scene was Derek Barnes coming back from huge injury
for the Lions, and he sacked Baker Mayfield last night
and that puts the Lions well as you the wild
card spot Kyle back. That thing on the viz graphic,
as they say in TV, just changed to lurking right
in front of your very eyes right now. If the
NFC playoff picture was solidified today, the Packers would have

(03:15):
a week off there in the middle. You see seeds two, three,
and four would be the home teams to host the
wildcard teams. And your lurking column has a lot of
really fun logos in it.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
So let's look at this. This is a really fun
way to look in the NFC.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Mansai. You see what it went down last night. You
see what's happening in the Pacific northwest all the way
to Philadelphia. What do you make of this crowded NFC.

Speaker 8 (03:39):
Well, when I look at this NFC, especially the standings,
what really intrigues me and what I'm fascinated with is
the teams that are in second place in each division.
Like if you look at the across the board NFC West,
right now you have the Seattle Seahawks, the Sant Francisco
forty nine ers on the number one.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Seed, but the Seattle Seahawks are number two.

Speaker 8 (03:57):
And then you look at across the board east, it's
Philadelphia number two is a Cowboys. The Cowboys, to me
is one of those teams that I think nobody ever
thought that they had this much success this year with
the Michael Parsons trade, with all of the questions and
the conversations that were being had early in the preseason.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
We didn't, we did. Nobody expected him to be this good.
Now you have the South.

Speaker 8 (04:18):
The Bucks are number one, but Carolina is number two,
and we've been talking about this in the offseason, Carolina Panthers,
what they've been doing over there, coach Kanalis Bryce down there,
it's starting to take form. And then obviously in the
North you have Green Bay who's the number one, but
then Detroit is number two. So all the number two
seeds in each division to me is the teams that

(04:38):
I'm looking at.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
That's they're looking pretty nice.

Speaker 9 (04:41):
Yeah, I'm most intrigued with to San Francisco forty nine
is they're the most least scheme dependent team in the NFC.
Doesn't matter who's out there, they just get it done.
And you talk about Kyle Shanahan and what he's been
able to do his team with this team along with
Robert Salad. You go into the season brought perties and
Brandon and I you George Kittle's.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
On the shelf.

Speaker 9 (04:59):
They have multiple guys who were on the shelf who
they paid, by the way, weren't able to deliver early
the season. But then you get Mac Jones and then
CMC gets stays healthy, and then you start seeing his
office line. Find our identity, this defense. Kyle talked about it,
and yet yesterday, man, you don't know the names, but
you know they play ball and they play with the
level of intensity and fight that Robert Salad can coach with.

(05:20):
So when you talk about a team that matters the
most right now, who's probably the most complete team in
the NFC, I'm going I'm going to the Bay Areas,
San Francisco, forty hundreds. They've been able to stand on
their heads and stand on this ship and say, hey, man,
you can count us out, but we're.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Going to show up and punch you in the mouth.

Speaker 9 (05:35):
Tootles. George Kiddle is back. The running game is humming.
Watch out for those Niners, man, I see them making
a deep run.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I can't believe we're sitting here looking at the playoff
standing scenario thing already. It's what is the October twenty first,
and we got the lurking column. It's just it's early, guys.
It's a lot that's gonna change, and yet it is
kind of fun to look at. I can't be here
bring it up again, because here's the most fun part
by far, and I told you, guys, I told you

(06:01):
after green Bay bring it up. After green Bay tied Dallas.
I said, this is going to be so great that
green Bay has this stupid three number record, because it's
going to mess up everything. Your one seed right now
is for one and one. A lot is going to
change the next couple of months. That tie is going
to be this hangnail on the packers and on all

(06:24):
the scenarios that plunges us into bizarre scheduling minutias. It's
so many different scenarios. I agree with Jamie though, that
lurking column is absolutely incredible because also it has another tie,
and it has the Panthers and it has the Bears.
It's really fun. Everything's going to change. Half these seeds
not going to be here. But I do have to

(06:44):
pick up on something I said earlier in the show.
Look at the bullseye of that thing right in the
middle at five and two. If you watch the show,
there is a pattern whereby when there's primetime games or
game the night before, you show the highlight and then
we immediately talk about that team, specifically the winning team.
Seattle had a great night last night, a great night

(07:05):
that a lot of people in the country didn't see
you think we would choose editorially to talk about the Seahawks,
and yet we said, no, one, let's just talk about
the whole NFC. Let's not talk about the Seahawks. To
that point, I received a message last week, my friends,
from a loyal viewer of the show named Cassie. I'm
going to read it to you right now. This is
someone who watches the show. Bring it up, and I'm
going to read this verbatim because it's kind of like

(07:25):
a comment box. I watched MFB every day and have
for several years. Your coverage of my team is deplorable
and disappointing. I am a Seahawks fan, and you guys
almost never cover them, even when they have a great game,
and they are just rarely talked about. I was surprised
to even see them in a few of your predictions
for possible Super Bowl contenders. But Kyle, a little coverage

(07:46):
would be nice. Come on, throw us a bone every
now and then. Double exclamation point. That is from Cassie
and Cassie, girl, you are so right. I am with you.
You guys were great last night. Now we're talking about
the Packers and Cowboys and the Bears and Panthers. Never
mind all them. Seattle's Seattle Seattley weren't just great last night.
You've been great all season, and you can take that

(08:08):
one and show it to the ESPN and Fox Sports
and anybody other than local Seattle news coverage. We will
do our best, and more importantly, Cassie, we will do
better because your team's doing better, your coach, your quarterback,
and everyone across the board. More Seahawks talk. If I
have to crowbar it into the segment like I am now.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Kyle, it's really well done. As you always like to
call GMFB. It's a live, breathing mechanism, organism that we
can change at any given time. And if I have
it editorially correct, I have a three minutes to play
with here. So everybody think on your feet, come up
with your one take about the Seattle Seahawks that you
want to put out unto the universe. In honor of Cassie.
Let's get rid of this NFC logo. I need a

(08:48):
Seahawks VIZ behind.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Me operator Seehawks. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
We got to get the bird going, So I'll start
the Seahawks most turnovers in a game last night. Since
twenty twenty, all right, it's been five years. They popped
the ball on the Texans four times. Well on Seahawks,
you know what that is. It's the defensive minded nature.
Thank you very much of your head coach, Mike McDonald, Manti,
you're up.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Well, what's your name? Cassie? Cassie, Cassie.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
I love you and I love the Seahawks. Why I
actually have the Seahawks on my fantasy football team.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
They got me ten points last night. That's how much
I love them.

Speaker 8 (09:19):
But when you're talking about that Seattle Seahawks defense, it's
a defense that's disruptive. We saw it last night. Able
to get pressure on the quarterback, able to take the
ball away, force fumbles. I think that being able to
have Lender Williams in the middle, I think it's one
of his best seasons so far, former USC trojan. And
then also you have Ernest Jones, who had another pick
last night. He continues to get his hands on the ball.

(09:41):
And I know they have a new cast of defenders
at the dB position, but they're reminiscent of the olde
lob being able to be physical at the line of
scrimmage and to get a lot of interceptions.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
So I do love the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (09:52):
The Seattle's edge is the situational discipline.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Man.

Speaker 9 (09:55):
They start fast and they get after you early. And
when you talk about a Brandon football that you love
to see that we don't get to see and celebrate
is the fact that they don't care that you.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Don't watch them. They know who they are.

Speaker 9 (10:04):
They have a head coach and Mike McDonnell say, hey, man,
they know about us when they need to. And in
playoff time, when everybody else is home watching, we're going
to be on the field with the twelve may going bunkers.
So if you're a Seattle Seahawks fan, it doesn't matter
if you're not getting attention. Just understand when there's a
place to be had at the table, you got to see.
So keep playing hallt and you.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Got a place at the table. To Cassie, we are
a show of the people for the people, and we
are a show for Sam Donald. It is working. It's
not just sort of working. It's working wonderfully. It's working beautifully.
I don't do a lot of stats. Sam Donald's passerating
is one hundred and nine. He has a higher passerrating,
Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Dak Prescott's Jade and Daniels Baker, Mayfield,

(10:47):
Patrick Mahomes. They are all looking up at the what
three four time cast off Sam Donald who shows up underwhelming, quiet,
underspoken and just has been excellent, excellent. You think it's
like out of nowhere that Jackson Smith and Jigba is
putting up a career year already. Did you see him
doing that last year? He was good, He wasn't mess.

(11:08):
Sam Donald is working. The Seahawks are working, the coach
is working, everybody is working. And Cassie, we are working
for you, my friend, because we want you to continue
to watch and you deserve to have the Seahawks talked about.
Great job, great job executive producing Cassie huh uh huh.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
And lastly, Cassie to drive home. The Sam Donald quarterback
rating point is that Jackson Smith and Jigbuff for three
straight games has had over one hundred receiving yards and
a receiving touchdown, which is the longest streak in Seahawks history. AKA,
they like to roll the ball. I know the fact
that it's only gone on for three games and JSM
already has ownership of that record. Cassie, thank you very much.

(11:43):
Sometimes you just need to let the ship steer itself.
And that's how we felt about the last couple of
minutes on GMFB. Tom Pellasero, I'm going to ask you
about a team and a quarterback room in the NFL,
But first of all, Cassie demands you say something fun
about the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Listen. It's not just Cassie.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
We had Seahawks GM John Schneider on the Insiders a
few weeks ago and he would say, listen, you guys
never talk about it. He was doing it good naturedly,
but hey, we're hiding up here in the Pacific Northwest.
You don't cover our games. You're never talking about us.
Last night, John Schneider wasn't even the John Schneider being
talked about the most on sports TV. That was the

(12:19):
Blue Jays manager John Schneider, not the Seahawks GM John Schneider,
who in this off season moved on from Geno Smith,
moved on from DK Metcalf. Everyone was going in Seattle,
going into a full rebuild. All he does is bringing
Sam Darnold, who's played like an MVP candidate for less
money than Geno Smith is making right now to throw
interceptions in Las Vegas, picks up a third round. Picking

(12:41):
the process trading DK opens up all these opportunities for
Jackson Smith and Jigma to be a breakout star. Google
John Schneider right now, He's third bow from Dukes of
Hazard is above him on Google results as well. Shout
out to John Schneider and the Seahawks front office who
built what looks like a really fun, young, exciting team.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
As this season moves.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Forward to a couple things comes to mind. Does John
Schnyder have a daughter named Cassie? And is that the
person that is sending Kyle those messages. Secondly, it's one
thing if a fan is telling us that we don't
cover a team enough. It's another thing if a GM
is coming on our Aaron saying it, so appreciate you,
John Snyder. You're number one in our hearts and our playbooks,
and we love the Seahawks. Moving on to the other coast,

(13:24):
tom to a less joyful topic.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Let's straighten what's.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Going on with the Jets and what they are going
to do with a quarterback conundrum that Aaron Glenn has
on his hands.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Well, Jamie.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
Aaron Glenn said yesterday that he still has not decided
whether or not to make a quarterback change and move
on from Justin Field SAI.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
It's important decision.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
That he's pondering, even talking to other coaches who have
been in a similar type of position to figure out
what to do. Listen, the Jets are zero to seven.
They need a spark on Sunday benchfields at halftime. What
the Tyrod Taylor who promptly threw a couple of interceptions.
Today is a player off day, meaning we may not
have news until tomorrow morning about exactly who the quarterback

(14:03):
is going to be. Justin Fields there on a two year,
forty million dollar contract still has a little bit of
guaranteed money into twenty twenty six. It's a broader organizational
impact here of whatever direction Aaron Glenn in the organization
decides to go. In other quarterback news, Panthers quarterback Bryce
Young not expected to play on Sunday against the Bills

(14:24):
after testing on Monday revealed that he suffered a high
ankle spraying against the Jets. Officially, the Panthers are calling
him day today. They have not officially ruled him out,
but my understanding is this is a two to four
type week type of injury that Dryce Young suffered. He's
not going to play this week. There's some hope that
maybe he can get back the following week. For now, though,

(14:45):
it is Andy Dalton getting the ball for this week
and quite possibly beyond. Panthers also added Mike White, the
veteran former Bill who now potentially is a backup option
to Dalton on Sunday against Buffalo. Meanwhile, Ravens quarterback Lamar
Jackson was not on the practice field as Baltimore got
back off the field for their first practice after the bye.

(15:07):
He still has not practiced since injurying the hamstring back
on September twenty eighth against the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
John Harbaugh heads it.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
He expects Lamar to return this week for a game
against the Red Hot Bears on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
The real tell.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
Will be on Wednesday, given the amount of time the
Lamar has missed. If he's not practicing when the normal
practice week begins, we might get another week of Cooper
Rush or perhaps more likely Snoop Putley wait and see
on exactly what Lamar's status is going to be.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Jamie the Chicago Bears are winners of four straight after
starting the season zero to two, and they look to
be on an upward trajectory, the good kind of trajectory
in twenty twenty five, with their new head coach Ben Johnson.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
On Monday, Ben.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Johnson spoke to the media about his team's resiliency as
Chicago has once again become relevant in the NFC North.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Take a listen.

Speaker 10 (16:01):
I think the thing I'm most proud about was not
only did we get off to a good start in
terms of the twenty to nothing lead, but we weathered
the storm in between, because it wasn't our best middle
eight of the game, if you want to call it that.
So you go from twenty to nothing to all of
a sudden, you're looking up after halftime and it is

(16:21):
twenty to fourteen, and I just think back to that
first week of the season against Minnesota and how we
didn't handle that very well. And you fast forward a
few weeks later here and I just thought, as a team,
we responded a lot better to not make it a
game there necessarily in the final minutes of the fourth
quarter to close it out.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Before before that, Ben Johnson talks about weathering the storm
last year. At this time, the Bears are in the
eye of the hurricane. They were four and two and Mansai,
if anybody doesn't have short term memory loss, you would
recall that it did not go well after starting four
and two. So what do you think of this team
now and how they can make this year different?

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Well, it definitely looks different and it is different. Right.

Speaker 8 (17:03):
They have Ben Johnson their new head coach, and they
also have Dennis Allen, their new defensive coordinator. And when
I watch the Bears play for the span of seven weeks,
I often equate.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Them to a buffet line.

Speaker 8 (17:15):
You know, a bufet experience when you go for the
first time, you kind of try and everything you know.
And that's like the first few weeks of the season.
I see the Bears, like Ben Johnson, what works for
Caleb Williams, Let's try this.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Let's try that.

Speaker 8 (17:24):
Then defensively, let's try this coverage. What we're now seven
weeks in and after you go through your first round
of the buffet, you know exactly what you like, You
know exactly what you're going to pick the next time.
And that's what I see with the Bears, Like this
works for Caleb, This works for my run game.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
This works for my coverage right now.

Speaker 8 (17:39):
The defensive, the defense has sixteen takeaways, they lead the
NFL in takeaways. And the offense, led by Caleb Williams,
it's looking efficient. It's looking like they're starting to understand
what the expectations are. They're starting to get their timings right.
And so I'm really really high on the Chicago Bears.
They are lurking in the playoff picture, but it seems
like they're going back for the third round and the

(17:59):
fourth round in this buffet line that is the NFL season,
and they're getting better and better.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
They know exactly what they want.

Speaker 8 (18:05):
More importantly, I think they're getting a better clue of
who they are and that's what's starting to show on
the football field for me.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yeah, for me.

Speaker 9 (18:11):
In reference to Sunday's game, you gotta be proud as
the Bears fan, you they beat the Sints with your
c game that wasn't even your a game. You talk
about ten penalties, a clunky offense, but you was able
to win with defense in a run game that popped
off the tape for you. And in reference to who
they are and what they do well right now, they're
growing right and that's what you want to see on
underneath a new head coach Caleb Williams. In my eyes,

(18:32):
we have to give them a lot more time to cook.
We've got to understand Josh Allen took him two year,
three or four for him to become that guy. We
got to allow Caleb Williams to be that guy too.
Sometimes when we think about a quarterback getting drafted in
the first round, we want instant success, kind of a
microwave mindset.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
That's not the case. Man.

Speaker 9 (18:49):
This Bears team is able to win ugly and they've
been able to win good. You have to be proud
at the point that right now you got a Bears
team that's competing and fighting and playing and potentially playing
games that matter come December.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Ugly wins happened this time of year.

Speaker 9 (19:03):
Caleb Williams right now as your franchise quarterback, a deepestess
playing at a high level, and you got your all
star players and DeAndre swipp and his tight end core
really popping off the tape as well. So I like
where the Bears are right now. They're scrappy good and
Caleb Williams just needs more.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Time to grow. I understand the comparison and the symmetry
with last year's team that also started four and two,
But I hate it because it's just so wildly different.
If you remember last year's team, this is the Matti
Riflues team that gets to four and two on the
strength of beating terrible Titans, Panthers, and Jaguars teams like
just awful, awful teams. This is a totally different situation.

(19:38):
Last year, they end up on a ten game losing streak.
They end up firing their head coach in the game
when they ran out of time despite having a time out,
like it was just a disaster. This is coaching. This
Bears team hit rock bottom in Week two. Great, that's
when you want to hit rock bottom because then you
just go up. You just build that Week two lost
to the Lions was horrible. They got completely thumped. Fine,

(20:00):
so heal, lick your wounds, ice your knee, get up
and play. They haven't lost since. So I just I
think that Ben Johnson cannot be overstated. Caleb's talented, Dennis
sounds a good coordinator. The guys who are playing above
themselves and making really good plays, it's that guy. It's
that guy. Psychologically it's that guy schematically Ben Johnson like

(20:21):
invents in a run game overnight. They've pulled the run
game out of their backsides. After a few weeks now,
they've run really well. And this DeAndre Swift is this
guy who takes a lot of heat because he's not
that guy. He has been that guy. He has been
trust me, and they bring him a nun guy and
he's like this angry runner. It's just it's going really well.
I think that Bears fans as a fan base are
There are a lot of things. They're just not patient.

(20:42):
They're not And when it was zero and two, it
was already. I don't know. If Caleb doesn't have it,
I would promised Ben Johnson this. Well, they haven't lost
in over a month now. You would think a team
that waited over one hundred years for the cub to
win a World Series, the city might be a little
more patient. Can you just wait a few weeks, a
few weeks for the Bears to get this thing on track?
They can't. And I'm talking to a wall right now.
I had people who were out on Ben Johnson in

(21:03):
training camp. It's insane. It's insane. So weapons guys playing
better than they've played in years. But I think the
head coach and the second they hired have Ben Johnson
to great surprise for that organization. I never thought they
would do it. I knew this kind of invigoration was coming,
I didn't know it would come with the four game
winning streak in September and October. But guys, I hate

(21:24):
to be checked. The schedule, guy, it ain't exactly difficult
coming up Baltimore, Cincinnati, the Giants, like those aren't terrible
teams or anything, but like the Bears aren't going to
be a factor. We're going to be talked about. And
if you ask any Bears fand truthfully, that's all they want.
Just be a factor. Just give me something I can
be proud of. At this point, and they're already there.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Every take on the Bear is very well appreciated. But
what I can't get out of my mind now is
that the same zest and vigor in which Ben Johnson
approaches calling a play, I have to think that he
has the same opinions about approaching and all you can
eat buffet. I really do like I think Ben Johnson's
probably like, listen, don't go for the salad bar.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
You go for the pro team first.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Kyle, I know, he who participates in the sit down
version of the all you can eat buffet at FO
go to chow. I know you have takes about how
you approach a buffet, and I would assume Ben Johnson
is one and the same.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Well man tis talking about that the starter plate you have,
which is stupid where it's like, you know, I'm gonna
work my way in. Let's just get a little warm up,
you know, four plate. Maybe I'll go over and get
some salad, and I'm like, what am I doing with
all these radishes on my plate? And these beats like that,
Let's just get right to the hot plate? And you
know what they really did. It's not a chow thing, though,
Jamie Bears fans talking about patience. They're at the Omelet bar,

(22:33):
all right. They're putting in the order and you gotta
wait a little bit, and you just sit and you say, oh, yes,
I'll have cheese with that, Yeah, yeah, mozzarella, fine you
And then they flip that sucker and you waited and
now it's ratten. That cheese is all melty Willie, and
you're like, you gotta just stay in your shoes. A
little bit and now they're enjoying it. You could go check.
I'm sorry, Jamie, I was. I was trying to give

(22:54):
you my take.

Speaker 9 (22:55):
How and well, to be honest, you do it with
your shirt off, and it's a fork. You just go
up and down and you start picking and pulling. That's
how attacking buffet. There's no reason to have any plates.
You paid for the buffet, so you attacked the buffet.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
No shirt, no shoes, full service is how is how
Willie is attacking about it. Well done, Bears, Fans, patients,
don't go for the already scrambled eggs. You wait at
the offlice station and while you wait, go over.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
And get a slice of the prime rip. That's all
I'm saying. Okay, no salad bar, No salad bar.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Maybe just like a piece of broccoli to help you.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
You touch that jello in a salad bar, I am
judging you. Oh no, Welcome to Good Morning Football GMFI Radio.
I'm so excited right now, I really am. I'm sitting
here in my John Clayton shirt and my Joe black O' beard,
and I'm looking at the call screen because we're about
to take live calls on the air, I got my
mic I got all my phones. One of the call
screens says, this team is embarrassing to me and my children.

(23:52):
I'm not going to say what the team is. This
Jets fan says new Owen six was going to happen,
and it's all Aaron Rodgers' fault. That is what we're
going to do here today. I'm going about to take
the first call. There will be thirty seconds on the clock.
Get right to your point. Don't say first time, long time,
don't ask me how I'm doing. Just get to your
point and air your grievances about your team. We start
first in the great state of California. Carmen the Raiders fan.

(24:15):
Carmen your baton leadoff letter, rip Kyle oh ball God.

Speaker 8 (24:22):
Quite honestly, my team needs an enema.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
I need to know what we need to do to
get Gino and.

Speaker 11 (24:29):
Carol about it here.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
We are worse this year than we were last year.

Speaker 11 (24:34):
Let's talk about that.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Hell, we just.

Speaker 11 (24:37):
Went thirty one and zero.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
AOC has beat mahomes in a Raider Jersey.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
Why are we this despicable?

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Just in case anyone doesn't know AOC, he's referring to
as aide O'Connell, I believe not. The notable politician started
with an enema reference. I don't know if that was
a joker call to the Tim Burton joker Jack Nicholson.
But the Raiders are very strange because I didn't think
they were gonna win a the games this year, but
I thought they'd be a really good product. Pete Carroll
and Gino Smith, we're basically babysitters and chaperones. They are
adults in the room and it's been really bad. I mean,

(25:12):
you sit, Gino, go to Kenny Pickett. I had to
look up the Kenny Pickett was on the team. Raiders
fans not feeling it. Oh man, here we go the
next team, says the tea where it says Titans, we
go to my guy Wayne. In my experience, most people
named Wayne are over fifty. Wayne in Pennsylvania, are you
over fifty? And what's your thoughts on the Titans? No,
I'm not over fifty.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
And my thoughts the Titans that is, we need better coach.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
We need better plays too, lit what are we doing
out here? I'm the only Titan saying.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
In Philadelphia, and this is what I get for all
the money that I.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Spend the Watchhoe, Come on, we got to do better.
We got to do.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Better as a unit, as a team, as an organization.
You'll fire a coach, y'all shit hired in.

Speaker 6 (25:57):
The first place, and then you go out here and
get a bunch of rejections.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Wayne. First of all, I'm sorry I insulted you by
a sinuin in They were old. My bad. He's a
Titans tent at Philadelphia. That's gotta be a tough racket.
You know what's tough about the Titans too. You're supposed
to get that interim coach bump, you know when you
fire the coach and all the players are so excited,
there's this breath of fresh air. They fired the coach
and then they just got smashed. They didn't get any bump.

(26:25):
What happened. I was such a big cam work and
I still am. But I mean, look at these look
at these plays that we're pulling. I'm sorry, Wayne, Wayne,
you're a youthful, exuberant I'm gonna put you at twenty
two years old. God bless you. Let's go to the
great State of Utah, Utah. Who are they rooting for
the Jazz? No, the Chargers Dan, the Chargers fan in
Utah thirty seconds letter rip, Well.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
It's supposed to be Rams Chargers Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I grew up a box from the well down from.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
The Raiders Ram Stadium.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Anyway, Harbaugh comes in, turns the team around.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Last year they did great.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
This year's on our role.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
All of a sudden they fall off. What the hell
hell me, I'm discombobulated.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (27:09):
You're definitely discombobulated. I don't blame you, Dan, It's this
is football right now. You've got a couple of big injuries,
You're right in the middle of the season. Some teams
are teeing you up a little bit. You're one of
those fans in the basis I'm not worried about. I
still think you have a top five head coach in
the world. I think Jim Harball, though he looks kind
of weird and flummoxed on the sideline. You got a
coach and you got a quarterback. There's a lot of

(27:29):
teams on the line right now who want to get
on and saying did they just take a Chargers fan
in front of me? Do you know what it's like
to root for the Jets? The Chargers fans have problems,
then great coach, great quarterback. They will write the ship.
I still think they're going to be a playoff team,
Take it from me. They will get right next. Oh
this is good. A Giants fan from right here in
the Big Apple ed, you sound like a New York

(27:51):
football fan? Ed the Giants fan in New York talk
to me thirty seconds?

Speaker 6 (27:55):
Yeah, are you freaking kidding me? Who is making the calls?
And for the Giants? Is it Mike Keka because it's him?
What is going on? Can brinan dabele? Hear these calls
going in? Why would you put your rookie quarterback in
a position that he did not need to be in?
It was like this your each scattaboo? Where are you?
But no, they decided to throw with Jackson dors And

(28:16):
although he threw the ball, he should have tucked it.
He made a bad rookie choice. But this is Paul's
gotten Brian Dable, He's a freaking joker.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Are you kidding me? Why would you do that? That's
a New York sports call. The head coach is a
freaking joke. Who's calling these players? The dart interception was rough?
It really was rough. If you just run it to Skataboo,
you don't get the game. They call a pass on this.
He steps up, tries to make a place. Is a
terrible play if you just run and punt you in

(28:45):
the game. But then you know, I don't know. They're
trying to not play conservative, They're trying to stay aggressive.
I don't even hate the call. I hate the throw,
and that's a young quarterback. I still come back to
the same take though. Guys, I know it was an
all time loss and it's devastating. You guys have something.
You were in that game. You have juice, you got
a future. A year ago it looked miserable. Now despite

(29:07):
the lot, I still think it looks more optimistic. And
I do think Jackson Dart has it. I think he
will make better plays this year. I got to get
to the next call. Let's go to you know what,
should we double down on the Raiders? Why not? My
man Glenn Glenn in Massachusetts on line six, you have
thirty seconds to talk about the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Let it rip, yes, calling him on my bull mass Raiders.
First of all, coaching staff is way over their heads.
Pete Carroll. It all started week one. To start an
Alex Kappa over jp J. Are you freaking kidding me?
And then they put this Kyve Blue Kelly out there
at corner. He gets Burt more than Elvis tlats Patterson okay,

(29:48):
and given al Ashton Gensey won at tenth out of
the backfield for receiving colt of Staff is just way
over his head and that's why you will be picked.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
I don't hear what Glenn said at the end there.
I thought you might be saying they may be picking
number one overall. I don't know, Glenn, because there's another
team that is in the contention for that, that's the
second Raiders call. I don't have a lot of good
will come in my job. Isn't supposed to say no, no, no, no, no,
it's gonna I don't know if it is. They don't
look good right now, and they don't have another quarterback
really to go to a much. We want to throw
any pick it out there, but you mentioned I think

(30:21):
the number one overall pick. We're going north of the
border Ontario, Canada. Jetspan, Dennis. I want your thoughts, Dennis
letter Rip, you are in contention for best call. If
you land the plane, here go j E.

Speaker 11 (30:36):
G Ash Bleep, bleep, bleep. Looking at the schedule in
the preseason, Stillers all in one, the bar Falo Biles,
all and two, Tampa Bay, Ohwen three, the Bleep and Dolphins,
OH four, Cowboys, oh On five, Broncos oh and six,
over and Totnomospa. I figured we were gonna win against

(30:58):
the Pantherus. We might actually have a chance to pizza banters, no.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Tennis. It's thirty seconds. Brevity is wit. You got a
lot of passion north of the border. I respect you.
I love the entire Ontario community. But I know Jeffs
fans have a lot to say and getting it all
in in thirty seconds is very difficult. But we have
to get in our friends. Now we go to the
phone council. Let's start in California with Mantiteo and Jamie Rdall.
I think we took like five or six calls there, guys,

(31:26):
Which do you think was the best, and maybe by
the best, that might even be the worst. Just which
one stood out to you? Go ahead, Jamie Herdolf Oh.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Well, I feel for Brian Dabele and being called for
his job, essentially by our caller in for the Giants,
although I feel like you could just close your eyes
and you wouldn't know if you're talking.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
About Jess or Giants.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
However, it does boil down to the play call for me,
So I understand the sentiment, Manti. I just it's brutal
in these streets.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
If you're a New York football fan, Yeah, it is brutal.
It's also brutal. I think with Glenn, I believe his
name was a Raiders.

Speaker 8 (31:56):
Fan that called He seemed to be very very intertwined
with what's going on with the team. You've mentioned a
whole bunch of scenario is not getting Ash and Genty
the ball enough. So I really liked the fact that
he was a fan.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
That seemed very very intune to what's going on.

Speaker 9 (32:11):
Go ahead, Well, I'm gonna go with the judge fans
on Canada, which is odd and in a self, but nevertheless,
I'm with him.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Man, nothing's going right for this team.

Speaker 9 (32:18):
You got a head coach and Eric Glenn who had
good attentions on his team being a different product and
something Jets fans.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
To be proud of.

Speaker 9 (32:25):
All in seven, it's you can't be proud of that
at all. So yeah, I'm going with the Canadian Jets
fan Kyle Coler.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
You know you you You come down hard on these
callers when the thirty second clock hangs up on them.
You have an air of like, I'm not mad, I'm disappointed.
Do you have a secret sauce of an equation that
maybe future callers could tap into, that would that would
please your palette for calling segments?

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Help the fan out, go hard, not an ounce of fat.
Don't ask me how I'm doing, don't introduce yourself, no,
get to know you. It's thirty seconds thing bang boom,
take take, take, take, take, get out. It's very difficult
to do. I know these callers are nervous. We love
the they're involved, and sometimes they get a little bit
rattled up to start, like when I suggest that they're
like an eighty year old man, and then my guy

(33:10):
Wayne in Pennsylvania is like, no, I'm not over fifty
with the hell you're talking about. That's why Wayne, the
Titans fan in Philadelphia, was my favorite call of the week.
It's tough to get up right now and be a
Titans fan to call a TV show and have your opinion. Wayne,
you stay strong. Philadelphia's got their own problems too. I
don't want Eagles fans pushing you around the street. You
do your thing, you tighten up. Wayne is our winner today. Wayne,

(33:33):
it is your world, and guys, it's your phone call
in whenever you want. Next week we'll do it again
