Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
What's up, everybody, This is Good Morning Football presented by
Old Trapper people. Jerkey, It's Tuesdays, our twenty eighth Jami
Eard All here in La only today with Man'sito, Isaiah
Sambach and Rashad Jennings and listen this next hour of GMFP.
It's gonna be tree, Yes, it's gonna be like the
Chiefs in the second half last. Okay, we've already done
the first half of the show.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Now we're rolling with.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
The second yea and Rashad is like, okay, now we're
you know why, because we have a game to play
in the second block, And very Shade is like, what
is this?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
You look terrified?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
You got the randomizer and it's truly random, So terror
beware GMFB roll it.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Welcome to Good Morning Football presented by Old Trapper. Chiefs
are five and one after an zero and two start.
Everybody who man zero and two and they won five
and they've lost a ninther one. It's pretty good, pretty
good for the Chiefs to be sitting at five and three. Now,
it was a Monday night football game, Jamie Mantai, Isaiah
Rashad Zay, did you stay up for the Monday Night

(01:20):
Football and the eighteen inning?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
World Series? Classic class?

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Monday Night Football was my primary and then I went
through sixteen of the eighteen innings and.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Then I had to pass out because I had work
to do this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I feel like the game ended an hour before we
all rolled into this building.

Speaker 7 (01:34):
Wait, you you watched the whole No, there was eighteen,
Well you're eighteen.

Speaker 6 (01:38):
There was eighteen innings last night.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
The reason why I asked you is because I know
you my brother. I know you're a Seattle Mariners fast. Yes,
so I would think that you wouldn't watch it.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
No, I was going for the I was definitely going
for the Doctors.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
I'm not happy right now with the Blue Jays.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
People in La are bleary eyed because of the World Series,
but hopefully it's just a precursor for what the playoffs
could look like for the NFL.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Will the Chiefs be a part of it? Feels, especially
after what we.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Saw last night, Chiefs Commanders Monday Night Football. Here we go,
Mahomes and jayde and Daniels. This thing would have been
so sweet, except.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Jade Daniels is hurt, so he didn't get that showdown.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Marcus Mariota in and he did a serviceable job as.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
A backup for the Commanders.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
He looks out left for Deebo Samuel back for after injury,
pops right out of his hands. It's like, I don't know,
out of practice, Rusty, I don't know what that was.
Totally an opportunistic However, Mike Dana was right there his
first career interception, happy to gobble that one up. Mariota's
third pick of the season. Second quarter, now still scoreless,

(02:40):
Patrick Mahomes trying to do something about it fall intended
for Travis Kelsey. That one pops up in the air
and Bobby Wagner comes down with it, Wander's.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
First interception of the season.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Hopefully this was not a trend that would continue, and
it would not because another drive following drive, Mahomes looks
for who else Travis Kelcey trying to right his wrong
and indeed he did. Thirty one yard game brings it
all the way down to the Commander's twenty two yard line.
Now they're in the red zone at the one yard line.
Handed off to Kareem Hunt, who punches that one in

(03:12):
his fourth rushing TD Chiefs finally take a touchdown lead
and suing Commander's drive buck four left in the first half,
Mariota airmails this one's Terry McLaurin, who at first the
line judge says, no, MacLaren, you did not catch this
ball fully out of bounds.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
They go upstairs, they go to New York, they.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Check in on the catch. They will let a catch overturned.
Super thrilled, Dane Daniels knew it the entire time. Commanders
tie this thing up seven to seven at the half,
so we take it to the third quarter. Mahomes in
shotgun drops back. Has so much time, guys, you can't
give him this much time, and you certainly can't. Let
Travis kelcey splay out to the right and pick up

(03:52):
a massive thirty eight yard game takes it all the
way into the red zone. Kelsey thrilled as he should be.
Four plays later, Big Red is like, what's up, Let's
do it again. Punch it in.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Chiefs retake the lead fourteen to seven.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
After this play, Kareem Hunt a passing and receiving touchdown
last night.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Can you only add forty two yards.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
That's what's coming up big in the red zone of
your Kareem Hunt next, Chiefs Drive Commanders couldn't figure anything out.
Mahomes coming through the middle of the offense. Then he
finds Juju Smith Schuster. You know the rule in TV
when you're doing highlights is you have to say the
player's full name the first time you say it.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
I gotta say everybody's full name.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Because he's thrown all these different guys, Juju Smith Schuster.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Kareem Hunts.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I can just say Kelsey now because I said his
name before. That is Kelsey's eighty third career touchdown. This
was really special, not because it was a national holiday
for the tight Ends, but because he ties Priest Holmes
for the most tds in Chiefs history. Significant others, very
very happy for them. This is Mariota again to Terry McLaurin.
This could have just been at Terry McLaurin highlight. I

(04:54):
could have told you the final store and you still
would have been entertained. So at first this ball was
ruled in complete.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Jane Daniel's like, no, it was complete. They were able
to overturn it.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
They move the ball up, but it didn't really do
any good because Mariota was gobbled up by Mike Dana
dropped at the forty eight lart yard line. Mariota fully frustrated.
Two picks on the night. Fourth quarter, now healthy lead
for Mahomes with Javon Kinlock trying to lay out on
the shoe string tackle, but unfortunately athleticism wins out for fifteen.

(05:26):
Mahomes able to escape and find.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Noah Gray good for a pickup. That's another new pass catcher.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I have to say, Noah Gray Mahomes having a great night,
twenty one seven, with eight to play in the fourth quarter.
Five plays later, Mahomes hit were she rights, so I
gotta say his name where she writes touchdown. Chiefs would
go on within this one twenty eight to seven, Rice
giving the ball to a young fan who was super
happy about it.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Good for him.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Mahomes forty six career game with three or more passing TVs.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
That is wild. That's ninth on the list with Dan
Marino tied.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Commanders lose their third straight game, fall two three and five,
Chiefs five and three, twenty eight to seven.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
The final. As we hear from the head coaches.

Speaker 8 (06:05):
Thought our guys played again a great second half. First
half we lacked a little bit, but the second half
we came around and both sides of the ball and
special teams and did a nice job there. So a
lot of individual accolades that can go out, you know,
to the guys. The main thing is we played played

(06:26):
as a team the second half. First half just a
little little shaky, but took our business.

Speaker 9 (06:31):
There heading into the game an early and the energy,
the juice and the speed I saw and felt that
from the minute we stepped down the field. And that's
honestly what we're looking for. But man, did we leave
a lot of opportunities out there tonight. And you cannot
leave that many chances out there and expect to win,
especially against this team.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
In Week eight, in any games that were played between
an AFC and an NFC opponent, the AFC won every
single game except for Sunday Night Football.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
The AFC was all over it.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
The NFC is like a house of horse on holiday
of gat. We can't figure any of these teams out.
There's so much jockeying for position. As we said, the
commanders not even on our screen.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
And that is our lurking column on the far right.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Really fascinating wildcard selections. And on the left side you're
seeing who would host a playoff game if the playoffs
were to start today. So take a gander at the
NFC standings as we see them, and Man Tai, just
pick your piece of candy out of the bubbling cauldron
called the NFC and talk about one of your teams.

Speaker 7 (07:33):
Well, if I had to pick out a candy, it's
going to be blue and it's going to be green,
kind of like this room right here. Because of Seattle,
Seahawks are playing very, very good football and it's very surprising,
at least to me based on last year. They fired
their offensive coordinator guys. Ryan Grubb was their coordinator last year.
They fire him and they bring in Clint Kubiak, who

(07:54):
was with New Orleans. New Orleans for the first three seasons.
First three weeks of the season last year was known
as one of the best offensive units in football.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
All Kubiak was take that and put it in.

Speaker 7 (08:06):
Seattle because what they have over there with Sam Donald,
Jackson Smith and Jigba and all of that cast over
there on the offensive side of the ball, they are
an explosive offense. This is an offense that's just not
scoring porn points. But they're scoring points and gaining yards.
They are an average of six yards per play that

(08:27):
is third.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
In the NFL.

Speaker 7 (08:28):
Now, I don't think anybody anticipated that after firing their
head coach and having a new quarterback in Sam Donald
now behind center. It's not that Sam Donald couldn't do
the job. It's just it's a new guy on campus.
You don't know what to expect.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
It's a new coordinator, new team.

Speaker 7 (08:44):
I don't think anybody expected this. What I did expect
was that defense to play that the way that they've played,
to be dominant, to get to the quarterback offense, to take.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
The ball away. So out of all of those teams.

Speaker 7 (08:56):
And the NFC guys, I'm looking at the Seattle Seahawks
and I'm seeing a team that is on a terror.
They're very explosive, they're limiting runs yardage on the defensive
side of the ball, and if they continue to keep
that up, man, I know you're.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Happy to see.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
As Being a Seattle namer.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
Yeah, you know, I'm a Seattle fan all day long.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
They'll usually hear me talk about the Cowboys, but Seatown's
my hometown. But since we were already talking about Seattle.
Then I have to talk about Dallas, right, I mean,
let's talk about detailed boogie Dallas out there in the
NFC East. They are the team that I have my
eye on. And the reason why is because these guys
are still in a good position. It doesn't sound good
three four and one. Nobody likes that third category. I

(09:35):
mean some people on the show do, but Pops is
out the show today. So three four and oneers where
the Dallas Cowboys stand. We know one thing that they
do really well playoffense.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
These guys are the.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
Second overall scoring team in the NFL. Dak Prescott, right,
we have Javonte Williams in the backfield. You got Ceedee Lamb,
George Piggins. All these guys are doing amazing. Oh and
Jake Ferguson.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
Yes, offensively you're great.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
Ah, But there's another side of the ball, and that's defense.
And then defensively, Dallas is second worst defense.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
In the league.

Speaker 7 (10:05):
Yeah, that is that's why you said eye instead of eyes.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Oh yeah, right, that doesn't necessarily go well.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
So if you're scoring a lot of points but you're
giving up a lot of points, that doesn't necessarily turned
into a lot of victories, right.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
But I have hope.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
And the reason why I have hope is because the
Dallas Cowboys are two or one currently in the NFC East,
right with three games left. Hey, they still have to
face the Giants, they still have to face the Eagles,
they still have to face the.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
Commanders one more time. But as of right now, they're
two and one. If you look at their remaining schedule.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
I know we don't like to do this, some people don't,
but again, Pops isn't here, so we look at the
remaining schedule. These guys have the Eagles, the Lions, the Chiefs,
and the Chargers. Those are going to be what I
consider to be their more challenging games. Then they have
the Giants, they have the Raiders, the Cardinals, the Commanders,
and the Vikings.

Speaker 6 (10:54):
If he goes the way that I.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
See it, they'll finish eight eight and one, and the
NFC East usually sends at least two teams.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
To the playoffs. The way I see it, Cowboys sliding
the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Slide in, huh. I slid in smooth, but they ain't
riding in. They slide ding in. There.

Speaker 10 (11:13):
For me, I'm gonna have to look over at the
NFC South. I think this division is wide open. When
you look at the Bucks, you look at the Falcons,
you look at the Saints, and you look at the Panthers.
Nobody has taken the reins at all. This is wide open,
and I think, who's gonna come out on top at
the end of this when it's all said and done.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Other Panthers.

Speaker 10 (11:33):
Give me the Panthers, because I look, I look at
what Bryce Young did his last year, just last year
season twenty twenty four. At the very end, he caught fire.
He was fining receivers everywhere. He was thrown for two hundred.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
And fifty two d and fifty two and ten.

Speaker 6 (11:48):
He was throwing three touchdowns a game.

Speaker 10 (11:50):
And when you look at their roster, they got a
double head monster over at the running back position, and
they both of them can run the ball. You look
at Sea Hubb and you look at Rico Die if
we go, dab is dabbing everywhere. When you got the opportunity,
you look at look at you got first rounder mc millan,
and then you got my guy coming back. Don't forget
about Cocher. Cocher, Jalen Cocher is back in the mix

(12:12):
and if you look at what he did at the
tail end of his last year.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
He was balling.

Speaker 10 (12:16):
They got two good tight ends. They're three and one
in October. Keep that in mind. They're going to find
some fire, some win. They play well at home, They
physical and want to run the ball, so give me,
give me the pants.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
So so so, hold on, hold on, shot. You're saying
that the Panthers are when you say.

Speaker 7 (12:31):
They're going to win, they're going to win the NFC South.
Is that what you're saying. I just want to clarify, clarify.
You're saying that they're clarified winning the NFC South.

Speaker 10 (12:38):
I see them taking place in the NFC South. I
don't see what it's really fun Saints from can't say
the Saints sayampful only if they're healthy.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right, and we don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
You know what's really fun about what you just said
is they don't play each other until week sixteen and eighteen,
so there's a lot of time for them to get
right and frankly, to.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Look at you, you're like, yeah, that's exactly sorry.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
My mad Panthers buffs play each other week sixteen.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
And week eighteen, back to back.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
Understand you think that they're gonna outperform the Bucks.

Speaker 10 (13:06):
Oh yeah, listen, we've seen what can actually last couple
couple of games. What happened What happened to the bus
the last couple of games?

Speaker 6 (13:13):
Right now?

Speaker 10 (13:13):
I know they're dealing with some injuries. That's part of
the game. But guess what happens over there with Carolina.
They've been dealing with injuries too. It's part of the game.
But right listen, when the rolls come in and the
time come in, it's gonna come down who can run
the ball better? And at the end of the day,
I think the Panthers got that it's a wide open division.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Strong take for shot.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
They stumbled against the Bills last week, but Andy Dalton
was in a quarterback so that's helpful to know. Let's
see it again, NFC standings, if you would please, because
I challenge everybody to look to the right on the
lurking column and a pair of eyes. That went to
Baltimore last week and could have made it five straight,
but the Bears did not. So can we make one
pass at a team that I don't know? Could the

(13:53):
Bears be this year's Commanders the way the Commanders came
running last year and they were the unforeseen NFC Darling,
do you put.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
The Bears cap on that or are.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
You believe in what I shot of saying that it's
going to be a Panthers To you, Isaiah, I think
I do.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Have currently have more hope in the Panthers, just because
the inconsistencies of where the Bears are supposed to be strong.
The Bears are supposed to be super strong offensively, got it.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
But Ben Johnson, his style.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
Just hasn't clicked over yet, right It just hasn't hasn't
gotten there yet. Caleb Williams has not taken on the
persona and Ben Johnson if that were to happen, and
he were to start performing even a remotely like a
Jared Golf of the year's past, then these guys would
be dangerous because they have so many offensive weapons roma dunes.
They started to do his thing right now, obviously consistently,
But right now I have to lean on the Panthers

(14:42):
because Bears, you just don't know what you're getting from
week to week.

Speaker 7 (14:44):
Well, that's such a good question, because when I look
at both teams, right you ask yourself this question week in.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
And week out, like, what am I getting?

Speaker 6 (14:52):
Like?

Speaker 7 (14:52):
There's no carryover, Like they play like one thing one
week and then the next week you're like, what the
heck just happened? Like going into this week when they
played the Ravens knowing that Lamar might have might have
might have played, or he might have, but when he
lined up, he saw that he was And you would
anticipate at how they've been playing the past few weeks
that they would have came out of Baltimore with a win.
The way that the Baltimore defense was able to hold

(15:15):
Caleb Williams and that offense, it is a little concerning
based on what they've done the previous week. So to
Isaiah's point, it's a little it's so up and down
that it's when I look at somebody like the Panthers
and I look at what they've been able to do. Now,
I think the two headed monster actually messes them up
a little bit because Ricodoudo was on a terror run

(15:36):
while while Triopa Hubbard was out. Now having Hubbard back,
I know that they invested a lot into him. However,
they're trying to figure out how does this puzzle, which
is the running back room work because Ricodoudo was amazing.
So when they start to figure that out, I think
that's just going to help their pass game and defensively.
That front defensively for the Panthers is strong like it

(15:59):
is strong, and they recavoc in the run game and
they also get pressure in the pass game.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
So I'd have to give the also to the pants.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Come on over for God's body language.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Ever since you've delivered that take, you're so proud of yourself.
You're like that guy on a date with the new
girl that he's dating and his and her parents are there,
and you like you you went to the stand and
did the credit card thing already. You sat back down
and you were like you guys don't even know.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
The bill.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
You're so happy for yourself.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
Feels good.

Speaker 7 (16:26):
Jamie redn't like that one, because Jamie has a few reactions.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
One she'll either not say anything or she'll get it.
She'll say R three right what she did after you
said it? She went, she really liked Joe take.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
When I heard the keyboard going right, said Jamie, like.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
That, you're not gonna catch me off guard. I gotta
do a cram session on the phantoms right now. I
find me some time.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
We'll bring you back on January six, because or whatever,
if we if the Panthers are right in the NFC South,
until then, little Calves, we're in the NFC. Tom Pelli,
Sarah welcome in our NFL Network Insider. The same could
be said what we're saying about the Bucks right now,
which is the forty nine Ers have been decimated with injury.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
We can't figure out.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
What's going on with a ton of those guys on
the team, but the quarterback spot is where we look first, Tom,
what's going on Jamie.

Speaker 11 (17:13):
Forty nine Ers coach Kyle Shanahan said it is too
soon to tell whether this could be the week that
brought Purdy returns again from his toe injury. Shanahan did say,
though it is not a long shot, they'll see how
he's doing on Wednesday and then go from there. My
understanding is Perty has continued to make progress. He made
the trip to Houston for that game on Sunday. That

(17:35):
alone is a step in the right direction, and he
should have the opportunity to get some real reps this week.
It's just hard to tell exactly when he and the
team will feel good enough that he's actually able to
return to the starting lineup. Purty has not had a
full practice with the starters since he aggravated that toe
injury when he tried to return back in Week four. Meanwhile,

(17:55):
Mac Jones, who has filled in all those games that
Perdy has missed, even with a knee contusion. So once
again multiple moving parts for the forty nine ers at
the most important positions they get ready to face the
Giants on Sunday. Other quarterbacks situations around the NFL also
up in the air, including in Cincinnati, where the status
of Joe Flacco is unclear entering a big game for

(18:18):
the Bengals on Sunday against the Bears. Zach Taylor said
Flacco is day today because of a right shoulder injury.
We saw Flacco run, slash, jog, slash, walt to and
from the locker room during last week's game, ended up
back on the sideline return without missing the snap. But
you're talking about a forty year old quarterback that is
his throwing shoulder certainly something to monitor. If he can't go,

(18:41):
it would be back to Jake Browning for Cincinnati. Good
news for the Rams on the wide receiver front there,
superstar Pooka Nakua is expected to play on Sunday against
the Saints. According to coach Sean McVay, Pukahs suffered an
ankle sprained back in week six. They held him out
in week seven. That was partly precautionary, partly because they

(19:01):
had the buy up coming in week eight. He's had
a couple full of weeks now to rest up heel up.
Expected to practice this week at borid a setback, should
be back in the lineup.

Speaker 12 (19:11):
Jamie.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
All right, Tom, thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
We appreciate you, and we'll check in on how the
Panther's trajectory was in the NFC and how it pertains
to the news because Rashad Jennings will be very very interested.
Until then, we have a game to play on GMTB
and I guess yeah, Tom's anyway great. Tom didn't have
to look anything up. We have a great guest coming
up on the show, a true American hero and a
real life top gun fighter pilot.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
What move over, Maverick.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
We have Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney from Folds of Honor
joining us on the show.

Speaker 7 (19:40):
Man Timer to me, I'm going to need his nerves
because we're breaking out the Randomizer, guys, and we're going
to answer some questions from around the.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
League, but we don't know the questions yet. I'm going
to the time no has to Tenant Rooney helped me out, man,
I need some help with JIMFB more on the way.
Don't go anywhere you could.

Speaker 6 (19:59):
I want to be here.

Speaker 13 (20:00):
Bye, good football.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
The power that the randomizer holds is truly terrifying. Nobody
knows their questions, and nobody knows one of thirty two
that's going to pop up here. It's a special Halloween
League edition of the Randomizer. We will spin through all
thirty two teams. Somebody, when it's your turn, will yell stop.
You will already know a question that I would have
asked you, and then you have to apply that team
to said question. Manti, he're up first, Manta. My question

(20:39):
question Antai, when you find out what your team is,
what makes this team spooky in the spirit of Halloween?

Speaker 3 (20:45):
What's this team stop.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Spooky? What does it make them spooky?

Speaker 7 (20:54):
I mean, you've got Matt Stafford who just went to
London and he threw for five touchdowns without poking the
coll even in the game. Devonte Adams caught three of
them things. Defensively, a young defense that continues to take
the ball away. They're fast, they're physical, yet they're very efficient,
and they're very disciplined.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
So what makes his team scary? I mean, I chose
them to be in my Super Bowl. Oh you know that.

Speaker 7 (21:17):
I'm high on these boys that play right across the street.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
So that's why it makes La Ram spokey.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
They do play across the street. This weekend, they're hosting
the Saints. Isaiah, you're up.

Speaker 6 (21:25):
Next, guys.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Your question is why will this team surprise us in
the second half of the season, now that we are
done with me Ki.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
And the nice game doing right.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
Carolina Panthers, Yes, the Carolina Panthers are gonna surprise you
the second half of the season because these guys are
going to figure out how to utilize that two headed
monster in the backfield in Chepe Hubb and Ricodobdo and
Bryce Young is gonna get back in the saddle.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
He's gonna go.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
Out there and start slinging that rocket if they can
figure that out. Offensively, this defense with their front defensive
line move.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
To the Wii figure looking good.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Oh yeah, let me get some of that figure that
can go the Panthers have to go to Lambo this
week and hang out with the cheese curd crowd. You
are up next, right, when the redweiser stops, you must
pick a player on this team that is the toughest
too game plan against.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
Right, let me get.

Speaker 14 (22:26):
You get right.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
That's when it comes to game planning.

Speaker 10 (22:34):
When it comes to the game planning, it was the
guy that was drafted overall, my guy Hunter. Reason why
I'm going with that particular un corners simply because if
you look at him on the offensive side of the ball,
he just lit fire and got his first touchdown. He
can catch everything. He's a slant slasher. But then on
the defensive side of the ball, you gotta account for

(22:54):
where he is on the field. You want to throw
away from him. So if you look at if you
look at the stars, he is a star on offense,
he's a star on the defense, and he is hard
to game plan because he's everywhere.

Speaker 7 (23:04):
Okay, Okay, James, I got you.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Okay, Jamie, I gotta go. It's time for it's your turn.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Everybody got to go. All right.

Speaker 7 (23:12):
Okay, your question, Yeah, I got Why will we be
why will we be.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Talking about this team? On Monday, Jamie, just.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Some Monday after Monday. Okay, get the schedule ready? Stop?
Oh they plan, they plan.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Again.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
We may be talking about it on Monday at all.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Come okay, No, it's not gonna be because of cam Ward.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Oh gosh, should it be because of cam Ward?

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Sure, he's going to deliver another postgame moment that we
are going to be so into. I I really fear
I'm mentoring pity category for the Tennessee Tids. I don't
like to be here with one of thirty two, but
I am. However, I do think you have the right dude.
I do think you have the right man approaching the
podium every weekend. That is your quarterback. And there is
no better test. Who knows if Derwin James is going
to play for the Chargers, you might be able to

(24:00):
pick your spots. The Chargers are playing out of their mind.
They just absolutely ate and spat out of a Vikings team
that could have held their own. I'm not going to
say the Titans are going to get their first win.
I don't truly, I don't know that. I'm not sure
if I believe it. But cam Ward I think he
just puts on another display. That says that he is
the dude, and I hope he says something spicy at
the podium again because Okay, that's what he.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
That's what he's deserved.

Speaker 12 (24:20):
Up.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
That was unfair and it really implies.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
That theandvisor, that the random visor is.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Random phanti this now they become a little fun.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Okay, this team city is a must visit because stop.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Give me New Orleans.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
We already did that.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Can we do another one again?

Speaker 14 (24:40):
Go ahead, go ahead of the Oh, I think it must.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
It's a must.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
Why because that stadium is a dome now in that
dough I played in the I think the super Dome
in New Orleans.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
But this super Dome is the Mercedes Superdome.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
Now that's in Atlanta, and I played there, I've won there.
But that little uh jumbo tron that they have done,
it's just like right in the middle to the field.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
So I think you should go to the game. It's
really had nothing to do.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
With the city of Atleanta that that was not.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Literally asked for anything besides football, and you went to
the building in which the football is played.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
I'm happy to do better.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
It won't be hard. Why is this team's fan base
the best in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
Okay, all right, please give them the Eagles.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
That's off the backboard. Somebody come up.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
Listen up Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefe fans are absolutely out
of their minds. If you ever played there, it is
literally the sound is absolutely saying.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
You almost could feel it.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
You know, when you're playing Madden and your your controller
starts rumbling, feels like when you're in there.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
You gotta love those fans. It doesn't matter if it's
eighty degrees.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
As a matter of if it's minus eighty degrees, they
gonna be out there with the shirts off and going.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Shot.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
We're in Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
We're seeing a lot of athletes, players, teams getting to filmmaking,
if you will. Why would this team be a good
subject for a documentary?

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Documentary?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Okaycumentary style filmmaking.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
One stop.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Oh, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 10 (26:18):
I love randomness. I love the randomness. Now why would
this be a good documentary? Well, for so many reasons.
When you listen, when you look at what's been going
on in the.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
QB world, if you look at what's.

Speaker 10 (26:30):
Happening in Arizona, there's so many curiosities on the stadium.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
There's so many curiosities on the city.

Speaker 10 (26:37):
There's so many curiosities, says, why can't they get back
to the super Bowl?

Speaker 1 (26:43):
The documentary would be where do they land next?

Speaker 6 (26:49):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (26:50):
I mean, hey, anybody else got a better idea?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
I don't know if I watched documentary myself, but this
is gonna be made. This is truly randomness. Dude.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
You have an incredible ability to say nothing at all curiosity.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
That was tough, bro, that's a tough one.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
That was that was very skilled. What do I have
to do with it?

Speaker 9 (27:16):
All?

Speaker 6 (27:16):
Right? So you and I went straight to the stadium?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, because, oh my god, why.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
His team Jamie have the best Halloween party.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I'm going to mot on a costume for this answer,
and I'm going to be Rashad Jennings stops.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
It is random, though, What are you guys trying to
tell me?

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Please?

Speaker 3 (27:45):
The thing is about the curiosity is No, I'm just kidding.
I actually want to answer this question. Uh, it's very easy.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
It's it's George Kittle, It's Kyle Yuschek, It's I actually
think they could get some weirdness out of rock party.
Even though he tries to be like the Blue Jean
denhim Iowa boy, like no Brock party could get down
with the Halloween part. Kyle Shanahan also, I think he's
one of those like low key coaches that shows up
at the players party and like ken hang, So that
would be a good time. Who else am I missing

(28:12):
on this roster? That would be awesome. Christian McCaffrey's He
probably hosts the party because he probably has a sick
crib in the Bay Area. So that's a Halloween party
that I want to be at. Plus everybody would actually
be willing to party because their entire team is on IR.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
So like they don't have to play I know, Mummy everybody.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
They got like their slings and their leg braces and
they're like, no, we can actually have a good time.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
It's not that's the reality of it.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Do we have another one?

Speaker 9 (28:40):
No?

Speaker 2 (28:41):
I kind of want to make rashand keep talking about
the ardinals Rashad gets what.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
He's like, ooh listen stop professional, Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
The curiosities of the commanders are as follow. When you
hit us with the care get us out of here,
go to broms GMFB. That was the randomizer game. Rashaan
Jennings is the ultimate champion. I've decided the winner at Philibust.
Until we go to commercial, we'll talk about.

Speaker 15 (29:07):
Bud Light Folds of Honor and the NFL are proud
to continue supporting first responders in their families with dedicated scholarships,
building on fifteen years and over thirty three million dollars raised.
These scholarships will support families of faulden or disabled first responders,
ensuring their dreams can still be realized. To the families
of faulden or disabled first responders, thank you for your

(29:30):
selfless acts of heroism and sacrifice. See how we can
help you at bud light dot com slash Folds of Honor.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Can't just let that music video ron and not find
out more about it. Today is National First Responder's Day
and our military service members mean so much to us
here on Good Morning Football and at the NFL, which
is why our next guest is Cherished Here. He is
a decorated fighter pilot and the founder of what you
just heard about, Folds of Honor. We are so proud
to bring in Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
This morning, Good morning, Good morning.

Speaker 6 (30:02):
What is that?

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Looks so cool?

Speaker 2 (30:03):
When he does it to us, but then I feel
like I I'm nervous to do it back too. It's
so great to see you Dan. Folds of Honor, we
just heard a little bit about it, but Folds of Honor,
which you found it, has now partnered with bud Light
and the NFL. Those are brands that are forces to
be reckoned with. What's the future here with this partnership?

Speaker 14 (30:22):
Yeah, Number one, like so blessed to have brands like
the NFL and bud Light recognized first responders. You know,
October twenty eighth and probably everybody watching right now had
no idea this was First Responder's Day. And that is
something that we are committed to, is to honor our
first responders. And if you look at the stats, it's
every six seconds in this country nine to one one

(30:43):
is style. That's two hundred and forty million times a year.
And we're just so proud to align with the NFL
and bud Light to meet sacrifice with hope. When a
first responder is killed in a line of duty or
critically injured, we step in that gap and we offer
scholarships to their families.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
That's amazing work.

Speaker 7 (31:01):
Then and now, I got to ask, why did you
start this organization and why was that important to you?

Speaker 14 (31:07):
Yeah, my background, so I'm on the other side of
service as a military guy, so I've been a fighter
pilot for my career. Actually got back from my second
combat tour of duty in Iraq and it was on
a commercial airliner and unbeknownst to me, we had the
fallen remains of Corporal Brock Bucklin on that flight and
his identical twin brother, Corporal Brad Bucklin, was also on board.

(31:30):
And I've seen I've seen a lot of bad stuff
in combat, but I've never seen this side of war.
And I watched the family on the darkest night of
their lives, including Brock's four year old son, and I
just I felt a calling from God to do something
in that moment. I think I speak for anybody that
serves in a military or first responder. Our biggest fear
is if something happens to us, what will happen to

(31:52):
our family? And I think that's the beautiful thing about Folds,
is honoring their sacrifice but making sure their legacy continues
with the gift of an education.

Speaker 6 (32:02):
That's absolutely awesome.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Working if you're doing man, I want to try to
try to swing it over to the football aspects. Since
you are sitting over there at the NFL offices, the
word on the street is that you're a Chiefs fan.
I think you live in Oklahoma, but you're a Chiefs fan.
And now you got and you Reid has all his
legos out there, now he has all the offensive pieces.
How did you feel about those guys playing last night?

Speaker 6 (32:22):
How do you feel about them for the remainder of
the season.

Speaker 14 (32:24):
He does, and so how we have a caveat it
now and be like, I'm not a bandwagon fan. You
know you're in Oklahoma. You're either a Cowboys fan or
a Chiefs fan. And I went to the University of
Kansas when Joe Mountana was there, and that's really what
I became indoctrinated as the Chiefs fan, going to the
games with my girlfriend now wife twenty six years. We
have five daughters. But yeah, big Chiefs fan. And I was,

(32:46):
you know, I'm a little contrarian. I think great offense
sets up great defense. And that's the danger with the
Chiefs right now is man, you turn spags loose with
a fourteen point lead, and the Chiefs are going to
be really hard to beat.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
That you truly, truly a hero.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
Thank you so much for all that you do in
your services.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
But you are not immuned to chipping back at some fans.

Speaker 10 (33:13):
So if you could take us back a little bit,
so you chair on you in Kansas City Chiefs in
Super Bowl fifty eight, what exactly happened?

Speaker 14 (33:20):
Yeah, So I was super blessed to have bud Light
give tickets to my daughter and I to go to
the Super Bowl. And I think we're appropriate fans.

Speaker 6 (33:30):
You know, the fans cheer at the right time.

Speaker 14 (33:34):
But I had a group of forty nine ers behind
me that weren't just cheering for the forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
They were cheering at us.

Speaker 14 (33:41):
You know, you've had these people around you that are
aggressively aggressive fans, and they're just over the top of
us the whole game. And so fourth quarter rolls around
and I just can't hold it anywhere. It's the fighter
pilot in me, and I turn around. I look at
these guys and I'm like, hey, it's getting ready to happen,
and there's nothing you can do, and.

Speaker 6 (34:06):
They're chipping. They keep chipping.

Speaker 14 (34:08):
Oh, you know, we all know these fans.

Speaker 6 (34:11):
And then sure enough.

Speaker 14 (34:11):
We go to overtime and I turned back around and
I'm like, I told you, I said, guys, leave right now.

Speaker 6 (34:18):
And you've never seen.

Speaker 14 (34:20):
Guys quiet, faster, leave quicker in your life than at
that game. But I told my daughter, and it's hard, right,
I said, this is probably going to be the height
of your fandom as an NFL Chiefs fan, because we
just witnessed the greatest super Bowl. We got to do
it together. We all know how hard it is to
win a Super Bowl. Chances are you know we'll never

(34:42):
be at a victory again. We were at the Eagles
game last year, so prove that theory.

Speaker 6 (34:47):
But man, what a game.

Speaker 14 (34:49):
And yeah, sometimes you just got to chirp back.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
I cannot believe how intimidatingly awesome it must be in
your brain to say.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
I don't know if it was the fighter pilot in me,
but I'm going to say, oh, it's coming. I'm like,
are you kidding me?

Speaker 6 (35:03):
Cool?

Speaker 14 (35:05):
Yes, yeah, it's And my wife and I, you know,
we'll sit in bed and watch the Chiefs and it's
just one of those things like Patrick Mahomes is ours
that doesn't happen to fans, and it's just so cool,
and he's such a great guy and there's been a
Folds of Honor supporter and the Hunt family is amazing
as well, and yeah, we're proud, proud to be part
of that chief's kingdom.

Speaker 7 (35:25):
Lieutenant Dan, It's obvious I have to take some advice
from you on how to talk trash to fans. But you,
being a girl dad, I know that has to be
challenging because I am also a grow dad. You had
somebody give you some advice on parenting, and there's somebody
who's an NFL legend who I know personally tell us
a little bit about that.

Speaker 9 (35:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (35:46):
So obviously Drew Brees just just awesome brother in christ right,
he is an incredible guy. He's got a big family
and we were in an event together and I'm like, true, man,
what do you do as your kids grow up? And
we all get this is like they don't listen to
basically anything I have to say. They walk in the
room like, d get out whatever it is. And he
was like, hey, Dan, they may not be listening, but

(36:09):
they watch everything you do. Hey, So the best advice
I can give you is be the person you want
your kids to be. And I mean, wow, Like how
simple and powerful is that for all of us as
parents like walk the walk in life in general, there's
a lot of talk, but people that are leading by example,
it was just such cool thing. And I pass that

(36:31):
advice on from Drew Brees to a lot of people.
He's Sigma Kay or both Sigma Kay's as well, but yeah, great,
great guy, and man he's doing it right.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
Lieutenant Colonel.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
You mentioned something earlier about being a Chiefs fan and
the era that you're in. It implies that you have
to justify whether or not you were a long time
Chiefs fan or not. What has also come with that
is whether or not you were a longtime Taylor Swift fan.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
You are the father of five daughters.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Were you listening to Taylor Swift on heavy rotation pre
Travis Kelcey or post Travis kelce And.

Speaker 14 (37:04):
Like, I'm old school, so I was pre Travis Kelcey.
My daughters go from twenty three to twelve. So I
have been to more Taylor Swift concerts, Arion concert twice
with Devn. There's the picture there my twelve year old
and I don't know if you guys went, but the
tickets were so expensive and there's not a favor. You
can call into anybody for Taylor Swift tickets, and I

(37:28):
remember spending this extraordinary amount of money and I get
there with my daughter and she cried that like the
entire time, and I was like, I don't care if
this cost ten thousand dollars. This is one of the
happiest moments of my life watching this twelve year old.
And the other thing I love about Taylor is in

(37:49):
this world that we live in where it seems like
everything's got to be a red or a blue issue,
going to her concert, I've never felt people more like
harmoniously together and just spirit of red, white and blue,
Like man, everybody is there, and the energy at the
Airs tour, it really gave me hope, right, and it
was just, uh yeah, I mean she's She's an incredible blessing.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
I wouldn't undersell that fandom. Lieutenant Colonel Dan Ruddy.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
It feels like when you talk about any topic, you're
giving us hope at the table, honestly, And I hope
everybody who's listening today learned a little bit more about
folds of honor and everything that you guys are doing
is really an honor. Having you on the show. Amazing
work that you were doing. Everybody go check out the
organization at Folds of.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
Honor dot org. Great to get to know you, Lieutenant
Colonel Dandy.

Speaker 14 (38:35):
Thank you to light the NFL for uh oh my
god our first responders.

Speaker 6 (38:40):
So God bless you guys and go Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
Yes, sir, look at that.

Speaker 13 (38:47):
That's fine the love, Good morning football.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Time for good Hands. Play of the Week presented by
All State. You know, we start of the show with
a highlight of the Monday night football game that had
the Chiefs and the Commanders in it. But Manti couldn't
help himself. Everything is coming up colts for Manti Tao
and a lot of football fans. In twenty twenty five,
for example, their wide receiver Michael Pittman Junior showing off
his good hands as he had eight catches good for

(39:21):
ninety five yards, including this remarkable touchdown grab for Indianapolis
in their Week eight win, which is a regular occurrence
over the Titans.

Speaker 11 (39:31):
Shotgun snat for Jones looking left, He's.

Speaker 5 (39:33):
Going to take a shot and throws a laser towards
the pylon and that is a catch for Michael Pittman junior.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Putman snared it in with one hand on a twenty
one yard.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Absolute dark throned by.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Dangle Jones, Tilt, Michael Pittmitt.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Junior Colts are great. That's on the AFC side of things,
Sherry Burris.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
But another team that we can't not watch on the
NFC side is the Detroit Lions.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (39:57):
Actually I think Pigman caught that with his elbow, so
that's like a good, good arm catch. And the Lions, Jamie.
On the NFC side, they're coming up off their by
so well rested. They all should have good hands as
they take on the Vikings on Sunday. Detroit currently sitting
at five and two and looking up at the Packers
in the NFC North standing, but a coach, Dan Campbell
says Detroit's best is yet to come.

Speaker 12 (40:21):
I really believe we hadn't played our best ball yet collectively,
you know, in all three phases. And that's really what
we're you know what we're trying to get to here,
man as man, how can we sharpen ourselves? We know
it's going to take every phase. Every game is different
and one unit may have to pick up the slack that, ma'am.
We need to start playing complete ball across the.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
Board and they get a chance to do so.

Speaker 16 (40:43):
Gearing up against the Vikings, they will take on what
looks to be Jj McCarthy at quarterback in that Sunday matchup.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
I told you the second hour of GMFB was going
to be strong like the Monday Night Football second half
of the Chiefs, and it was going that way until
we played Randomizer and Rashad Jennings got his second question
about which team is qualifying for a documentary treatment and
we all fell in our collective faces.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Sean, it really was bad. But just I want to
clarify one thing.

Speaker 10 (41:12):
When I was talking about see Where It Lands, I
was I was trying to pull land the birds.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Yeah, well we're trying to land the plane on the show.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
So we're gonna give you a second pass at the randomizer.
So you're up and Cherry, you get to go to Okay, Okay,
so you go first. You're gonna yell stop and just
say anything.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
About this documentary.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
No, no, we're gonna We're.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Gonna let him.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
We're gonna let him flow anything about the city, the team,
the logo, the mascot, landing plane, doesn't matter what you
doing this for.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
Sean stop.

Speaker 3 (41:47):
Randomizer, good job, what.

Speaker 6 (41:53):
I know what?

Speaker 1 (41:53):
I love it.

Speaker 10 (41:54):
I think about actually growing up, this was actually my
favorite NFL team, the Cardinals. And there's something about Virginia.
Our state bird is Cardinal would makes sense. It kind
