Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper. That's
right GMF.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
On a Tuesday, everybody I said last hour, I took
issue with a sweater Vessa Mike Rabel was wearing this week,
which was the no naps messaging.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Mike G, how do you feel about the no.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Naps situation that's happening with the Patriots?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Are you in agreement with the no nap commentary.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
On their behalf or on mine?

Speaker 5 (00:34):
Because I'm a no nap guy, I tend to feel
worse after a nap. I don't understand, like when you
wake up after an hour and a half, like you're
groggier than.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
When you went down.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Somebody's going to teach me how to nap, because without
the technique, I'm just not doing it.

Speaker 6 (00:48):
Mike Y's went for a sleep for hour and a half.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
That's why it's only supposed to be like twenty minutes,
Like it's a nap, it's not a sleep.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Oh, it doesn't teach me how to nap.

Speaker 7 (01:02):
More.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
What else at NASA's twenty six minutes to just rejuvenate
the soul let's go Monday night football.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
That's that's like a that's like a.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Halftime practically in an NFL game.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Giants Patriots well behind like generic blue football helmets.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
The lead block exactly thirty three fifteen is a final
Patriots when they're eleven and two now number one overall
seed in the AFC, in the AFC as a whole,
but also in the East two and a half game
lead on the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Here from mister no naps himself right now.

Speaker 8 (01:32):
He's realizing what he can be and what the impact
that he makes on this offense and being the conductor.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
He's hard on himself.

Speaker 8 (01:43):
I think that he challenges himself as well as his coaches,
and I mean he means a great deal to this
football team and just being able to not get rattled
and escape or pressure and find Remandre or scramble and
you know, and then when we do have time and
you know, he sees a guy win and put the
ball great spot there for Kyle to make a huge

(02:06):
play or kay Sewan down there in the red zone.
So you know, a lot of third down conversions. So again,
I you know, very appreciative that he's our quarterback.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
As you should be coach. Now, let's look at the
AFC as a whole. As we mentioned Patriots number one
overall seed, Broncos at ten and two. Now, the Broncos
beat the Commanders in overtime on Sunday night, which was
an absolutely thrilling finish. That accounts as that double digit
win where they sit as you look at the rest
of the AFC.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Let's just talk about the top all right.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
We're going to hear from head coach on Payton now
to make his case for his team, and then we're
going to look at those two logos that dominate the screen.

Speaker 9 (02:49):
Starts with the bleep is confident and that has to
kind of be earned during some close games last year
and our numbers weren't as good. So at some point
get to demonstrate to do it, and then there's a
bleep you can do it, and then you know there's
that confidence you're going to do it, you know, And
so that it starts with the execution and then you

(03:13):
know it has to happen and manifest itself.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Manifestation and believe it's all working for at least two
of these teams in the AFC. In early December, the
Patriots currently possessed a number one seed in the conference
after last night's win and the Broncos. As I mentioned too,
which team, though, Manti, do you believe in more at
this point this season?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yes, I said that I believed in the Patriots when
they're the number two seed before the game even started
last night.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
It doesn't matter where the seating is.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
For me.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
All that matters is when you look at this Patriots team,
they're the.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Only team in the AFC that I trust all three
phases of their football team, whether it be offensively, defensively,
or in special teams. Offensively, they got a two ahead
of Monster in a running back field, like whether you
choose were Mandy Stevens in or Trevon Henderson, And similar
to what the Bears have what their running backs. One
has the power, one has a speed and explosiveness. Then
in a past game in the first hour, I covered

(04:04):
all those targets that.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Drake mayhas at his disposal. He's using them evenly.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Defensively, they're disciplined, they're fundamentally sound, and they swarm.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
They play the way that Mike Rabol played.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
When he was a player, and that's something that is
very refreshing to me as a defender to see defense
play that way.

Speaker 6 (04:21):
And then special teams.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I mean, just flip on.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Last night's game and just see how the special teams
unit for the New England Patriots affects the game in
a positive.

Speaker 6 (04:28):
Way for their team.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
So if there's anything between these two and beyond these
two teams that I trust the most, it is going
to have to bleed the New England Patriots.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
I think they're playing phenomenally complimentary football.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Mike g Manti'm glad you mentioned special teams because I'm
going to answer this question in a second. But we've
got an unchecked box this morning on Good Morning Football
that we have to check because we have not shown
Young Wayku's attempted field goal. Actually he did clarify after
the game. Let's take a look at the replay. Troy
Aikman among many who said I've never seen this ever

(05:03):
in my life. Now, in fairness to coup, because he
got absolutely destroyed on social media last night, he did
explain after the game that the ball and you could
see it, the ball was slipping.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Jamie Gillen did.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Get it down in the end there, right, Jackson, We
are all Jackson dark Ku explained that the ball was slipping,
so he pulled up.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
It wasn't like me.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Trying to chip from sixty yards out.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Having to go over something. He just hit the grass.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
It was Coup intentionally pulling up. That being said, that
is a pretty horrible low light.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
I guess you could call it.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
Okay, Yes, back to back to the question I had
a win, Mikey, you.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Don't believe in make and letting the special team malfunctions
of the Giants going by the wayside. Editorially, we believe
in bringing that up. We have to cover that. Who
do you believe in?

Speaker 10 (05:56):
More?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Top two seeds in the AFC, Mike g.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Come on the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
You know you sort of asked us this question last week, Jamie,
in the middle of a segment, a little spinoff discussion,
you said, who's the most complete team? Or maybe it
was this, who do you believe in? Who you trust?
I'm going Broncos. And the reason I'm going Broncos is
because every time you think that there's a complete team
in the NFL, this year, the Ruggets pulled out from underneath.
So with that being said, I can only go on
two things. Who's playing really good defense. That's the Broncos

(06:24):
and who's making the plays when they matter the most
This year for the Broncos, five fourth quarter comebacks and
now because of this a six game winning drive for
the Denver Broncos. So they're the ones that to me,
are finding ways to win in the fourth quarter, making
or executing the way that you have to.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
Down the stretching game. So I'm going Denver Broncos within them.

Speaker 11 (06:45):
Yeah, for me, it's the Houston Texas down a four
game will win a streak the seven to five and
they've had significant wins to talk about Jags, Titans, Bills
and now a big win against the Colts.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
And when you talk about this defense right now, they're human. Man,
They're great, and.

Speaker 11 (06:59):
Especially off the Edgins with Will Anderson to Nail Hunter
and even in Tar that deepest line led by Sheldon Rakens.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
They're a complete outfit.

Speaker 11 (07:06):
And what I love about the Texas right now, Sija
Stroud doesn't have to be the end all be all.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
He just doesn't have to. He just can't crash the car.

Speaker 11 (07:13):
He simply has to manage the game and play competent
football and the defense will take.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Care of the rest. When you're able to suppress the
Indianapolis coach to under twenty points, that's a sign. That's
a statement game.

Speaker 11 (07:25):
Now they have a big opportunity to put the dagger
into Kansas City Chiefs and put them to rest for
the rest of the season. I can't wait to see
that game. I'm excited about. That's probably the biggest game
I want to see this outside.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
The Steelers and Ravens, of course, but the Texas and Chiefs.

Speaker 11 (07:41):
Man, the Texas have a big opportunity to put the
Patty Mahomes to the Chiefs the rest and listen.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
If you're the.

Speaker 11 (07:46):
Texas right now, they're probably the hottest and most dangerous
team in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
I'll put my hand up and say the AFC South
is the division that I am most obsessed with down
the stretch. Is anybody going to make a claim for
another division as a whole? Because this thing. We talked
to Leam Cohen last hour. The Jags look really fun.
What is happening with the Holman said, do you have
another division that you want to say other the AFC South,
Because that's the one I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You're saying, no, no, any division.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
I think the NFC North to me is very intriguing.
I think that's the one with the Bear's been a
number one overall seed. But then you also have the
Eagles that are trying to figure out things there. The
vikings are they're they're trying to put out fires there.
But the Green Bay Packers with that defense and with
Jordan Love how he plays late and around this time
of the year, I think the NFC North off the

(08:32):
top of my head, would be one for me to
watch out for.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
I'm gonna go NFC West on this one. Our Judy
Battista on The Insiders podcast yesterday made a case for
Kyle Shanahan to be Coach of the Year. I've got
a vote, you know what, I think I might give
it to Kyle Shanahan right now. Thankfully we get to
see how it plays out down the stretch. But given
everything he's had to deal with from an injury perspective,
from his quarterback all the way through his defense that's
been wrecked, they still don't have their two key players

(08:57):
back there. The way that they're humming and by the way,
Seattle and the Rams.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Are really good too.

Speaker 11 (09:01):
Anything, Yeah, I secretly fall in love with NFC south Man.
The Carolina Panthers are leading the division, especially after the
season the Bucks had. I thought the Bucks are going
to run away with the division. But now you see
Bryce shown pretty much defeated Rams at home and put
up a signature win.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Man. I'm interested. I'm interested to see how that's that
division ends out.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
I said this yesterday, first time in NFL history. There
are five divisions with a lead of just under a game.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
So it's you could.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Pick anyone, pick any card, any card, and it will
become magic as the season comes down, especially in the
regular season.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Tom Pelsero, Welcome back to the program on GMFB. Tom
Mike just mentioned the Insiders podcast, So jimfb's on in
the morning, then there's the Insider Show, then there's the
Insiders Pod.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Are you a nap guy?

Speaker 12 (09:47):
Well, first of all, I want to say that doctor
Tao clearly played in the NFL in the sleep science
era because what he described regarding naps is exactly correct.
You got micro naps that are five to ten minutes.
He got power naps tore like ten to twenty. Anything
over sixty minutes is sleep. It's not a nap, and
you actually get a deeper cycle, so there's a higher

(10:08):
chance of grugging this after it's taken Mike like forty
five years on this planet to learn he's.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Been napping all wrong.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
He's been blowing it for years.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
You just need the real quickly.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
Let me try it the right way.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Go ahead, Tom, let me try it the.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Right very good. Sorry, Mike, g you won't miss anything.

Speaker 12 (10:24):
Perk ut Mike, all right, See that's it. Don't you
feel refreshed? Aren't you alert?

Speaker 6 (10:29):
Now?

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Goodness?

Speaker 6 (10:31):
Could they have more nice dands today?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
I'm prom maybe that's what the Colts need. Tell them,
Do they need a power.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Nap ahead of what is coming to them in week fourteen?

Speaker 7 (10:39):
Jamie?

Speaker 12 (10:39):
They could use an all pro cornerback, but that's probably
not going to happen at least this week. Sauce Gardner
underwent an MRI on Monday that confirmed the original diagnosis.
He suffered a low grade calf strain. At this point
is considered to be weak tweak now look like something
potentially more serious than that. When he pulled them after
the game, he looked behind him, said in the locker

(11:00):
room that he felt like somebody had shot him from behind,
but he felt the sense up high in his cap,
not down at the bottom, which would normally be associated
with an achilles injury. I talked to Sauce after the game.
He's optimistic that he's going to be back sooner than later.
Calf injuries, though, can be really tricky. We'll see exactly
when he can get back, but full expectation the Colts

(11:20):
will be without him for a huge game this Sunday
against the Jaguars. The Chargers announced on Monday that Justin
Herbert underwent surgery to repair a fracture.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
In his left hand.

Speaker 12 (11:32):
He is considered day to day at this point, and
his stats will be determined later in the week for
Monday's game at Philadelphia. Now, we know that Herbert has
played through a ton of injuries in the past.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
He's played through.

Speaker 12 (11:43):
High ankles, brains, among other things. Jim Harbaugh said up Monday,
Justin is elite at it in terms of high pain threshold.
But there's also a functionality aspect when you're talking about
an injury.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
To your left hand.

Speaker 12 (11:55):
Again, had surgery Monday, Is he gonna be ready to
play one week later? If anybody can do it, it's
Justin Herbert. But TVD will find that out a little
bit later on in the week. Meanwhile, Vikings former wide
receiver now Adam Thielen has played his final game for Minnesota.
The team officially waiving Feeling on Monday, one day after
he'd been a healthy scratch for a shutout loss at Seattle.

(12:18):
Now back in August, Plan took a pay cut to
help facilitate a trade from Carolina. The plan was comeback
to his home state, his hometown team, finish out his
final NFL season, and helped them make a Super Bowl push.
None of it went as expected. Delan had just eight
catches for sixty nine yards. Through this point in the season.
The Vikings are four and eight. Feelin's representatives approach to

(12:41):
the Vikings last week asked if he could move on.
He is, like all players after the trade deadline, subject
to waivers. Any team claiming Adam Thielin would be responsible
for only about eight hundred and thirty three thousand dollars
in base salary.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Jamie Tom, how common is this? This was surprising to
see unfold yesterday.

Speaker 12 (12:59):
Well, it's commonplace in that we've already seen a handful
of players be released since the trade deadline. You no
longer can trade guys if you have a diminished role,
if you have a player who is unhappy with their situation. Again,
we've seen a handful of these even over the past
several weeks here, but this was unique with Adam Thielin,
not just because the Vikings gave up draft capital to

(13:20):
acquire him back in August, but also because this is
probably the only player the Vikings would do this for.
When you've got a guy who's given as much to
Minnesota means as much in the organization as Adam Theelen,
they were willing to listen. In this case, again, he
took less money to come back to Minnesota to help
them make this work. From a salary cap perspective, they
wanted to do right by Adam Thielen an a year

(13:41):
where not much has gone right for the Vikings.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
See, we just have like a oh my god, that
just why we wanted to do this whole segment. It's
not for that guy who's like a legitimate it's for
that person. Welcome to air it out where some fan
bases are feeling the need to vent after their team's
last week, So we are going to borrow their words
and voices from radio locally, and we're going to give

(14:12):
them some reassuring words down the stretch. So everybody understand
the game year.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
I understand assignment, jas right assignment. I don't know if
I'm ready for it, but I understand.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
I don't know if I'm ready for it either.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
The Ravens had their five game wins streak snapped on
Thanksgiving Night against the Bengals. I can't believe I have
to do this right next to this Brown's clown here,
we're going balk in Thanksgiving night against the Bengals. That's right,
my friend Lamar Jackson had three giveaways, which were his
most in the game since twenty twenty one when he
had four.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Can you believe it, clown?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
As you can imagine, the Baltimore fans were not happy
with this outing, right.

Speaker 13 (14:49):
I've been John Hoball apologies for a long time now.
Now I'm looking forward to some new.

Speaker 11 (14:55):
Coaches and I'm thinking about maybe bringing in the John Grues,
and I think we need.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
To move forward.

Speaker 10 (14:59):
The biggest problem with this whole team has been the
offensive line, and then the Lamar actors, you know, kind
of become part of the issue too as of late,
and maybe that's because he's tired of getting hit by
the old line all the time, and maybe that's where
it started. The Ravens are good when they can run
the football consistently.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
This year, this is the.

Speaker 10 (15:22):
Most inconsistent run game I've seen in years for the Ravens.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
All right, man, SI Baltimore and Pittsburgh have identical six
and six six records. They're technically in the first place,
Ravens fans. Do you want to walk them through this?

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (15:37):
So I heard a bunch of things. One about coach Harrball.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
You know, every every time something goes wrong, it always
goes to the head coach. But at the end of
the day, you're still six and six and you're the
leaders in AFC North. Right now, Lamar Jackson hasn't been
playing to the standard of which we've been accustomed to
him playing.

Speaker 6 (15:55):
He has been turning over the.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Ball, especially this past those past games and during Thanksgiving. However,
you are still six and six and leaders in the
AFC North. Henry, he's been fumbling as well, and there's
been stalls down there in short yard as you know,
so the goal line. But again you are still six
and six and currently the AFC North leader. The defense
has been inconsistent, and I don't know anything about their

(16:18):
past game or their special teams, which is which is
odd with coach Harball having a special team's background. But again, fans,
you are still six and six and currently the AFC
North leader. You're two to one in AFC North. Great news.
Three out of the next five games are all against
AFC North opponents. So, unlike a lot of people in
this playoff race, your destiny is in the hands of

(16:41):
your team. There are a lot of teams in this
playoff push that are hoping that other teams lose. That
their destiny isn't in their own hands. Baltimore Ravens fans,
you have control over.

Speaker 6 (16:52):
What happens next. That is a lot of things to
look forward to.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
So with that being said, I'm not saying that it's
going to be great, But at what I am saying
is you're sitting in a great position.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Now is up to your team. Hopefully they can come
through for you guys.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Actually, this whole segment has to do with East Coast
space teams, which, like people from the East Coast, they
like to be in their fields, are very intense, especially
about their football teams.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
This is perfect.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Let's head north on ninety five and check in with Philadelphia.
The Eagles defense allowed two hundred and eighty one rushing
yards on Black Friday and.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
A loss to the Bears.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
And then there's this guy that's the second most by
the franchise in the last fifty seasons, who Philly fans
were not shy of voicing their opinion about their team,
about their team's poor play.

Speaker 14 (17:35):
Gentlemen, this is not going to be a discussion. This
is going to be a rage bomb. What is that
game it's Nick Sirianni doing.

Speaker 13 (17:44):
There's no frequent way we should come out looking like
they the frequent coaching bro.

Speaker 12 (17:48):
They're just a really like unacceptable product to put on
the field.

Speaker 15 (17:53):
I'm sick and tired. You know what, Our system is broken.
I don't want to see.

Speaker 14 (17:59):
This head coach anymore. I don't want to see this
offensive coordinator anymore.

Speaker 13 (18:03):
You allow us.

Speaker 15 (18:04):
Is what it was? An old school, old fashion.

Speaker 16 (18:08):
Well that's what the Eagles got, Mike, Yes, why me?

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Why me?

Speaker 5 (18:19):
Jamie hold On, I'm calculating the days between dates from
the Super Bowl, which was on the ninth of February twenty's.

Speaker 6 (18:29):
I don't even think it's that much.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Two hundred ninety six, two hundred and ninety six days,
that's how long it lasted before somebody.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
Said I don't want to see this head coach anymore. Wow.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
You know, I grew up rooting for this team, and
I would have killed for two super bowls in four years?
How many years, eight years or whatever it is, and
then three another one. You make an appearance. We did
a We used to have an argument all the time
or discussion all the time, like would you give up
a decade of futility? Would you be horrible for a
decade just to win one Super Bowl? My answer as
an Eagles fan growing up with yes, and now that
I'm objective and I don't care.

Speaker 6 (18:58):
Now they're winning super Bowls and going to them.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
Look, here's Neil, you still have a pretty big lead
in the NFC East. That's going to take the Cowboys
basically winning out or losing only one more game than
you guys falling off the table to not win the NFC.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
So you'all host a playoff game.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
I understand that's not good enough because you just went.

Speaker 6 (19:14):
To the Super Bowl. We just talked about that.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
The offense, as much as you're talking about how bad
the scheme is.

Speaker 6 (19:20):
Guys are being schemed open.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
DeVante Smith was wide open Dallas Goddard on the same
play the other day. There's also that pass up the
sideline that if Jalen Hurts had put a little bit
further out, would have been completed instead of a pass
interference that wasn't called and shouldn't have been called. This
offense has also in Spurts looked like and there was
the Rams game I think I just saw there looked
like the offense that we saw last year. The problem
is you just got to get it consistently and get

(19:42):
it to happen game in and game out for extended periods.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
That's what they're working on now.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Also a ten day layoff. The last time they had
a ten day layoff, they came out against the Vikings
and looked really good on offense. Don't bring up what
they look like against the Packers after the buy. I
don't want to talk about that because it doesn't help
my case. But there's still a championship team in there somewhere.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
The season is not We shall see what.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
Schemed up here from Kevin Patulo and Nick Sirianni.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
But listen above all else. And I can't stress this enough.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Stop throwing things at coaches houses.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Yes, Mike Gee, exactly right, Mike.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Why is that to say, don't true?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
It's true.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Treat others the way you would like to be treated, Mike.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
It's the golden rule. They started in kindergarten.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
We just began this, uh byke g I was gonna
ask you a followup question, but I want you to
keep it cool.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Right, Let's head west in the state of Pennsylvania. Okay,
So first we went was that eighty was that highway that.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
Connects across no Idea Jesse, State of Pennsylvania. Seventy six,
Thank you, seventy six, Thank you very much. Eighties in
the middle of the country. Gosh, you were like my
ultimate height, man, I said, three hundred six, really like you.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
We're so close?

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Yeah, so close?

Speaker 6 (20:52):
All right?

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Aaron Rodgers who turns one year older today and nobody
cares because the Steelers can't figure it out.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
All right.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
The last game that these two, that these this team
faced against the it was not great, and it was
in Pittsburgh and the fans were quite unhappy with the
twenty six to seven outcome.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Maybe this guy called in. Let's hear from him.

Speaker 13 (21:13):
This is real hard to watch. I don't know what
they're not changing, man, what is this? This seems like
everybody got a good rookie or our receiver it was
in this year's trip except the Stellers, like we didn't
go out and address no major need.

Speaker 14 (21:28):
He followed a business model that is now time honored,
and that is the father starts the business, the son
helps make it great, the grandson flies it into the ground,
and that's where we are until Rooney's gone, until Tomlin's gone.
Now I think con they are going to be irrelevant.

Speaker 15 (21:44):
What is horrible? Forty one million and people complain about
he gets double teams and courser than his double team
Willie Cologne.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Were you one of those people that called in because
you were kind of mad yesterday about your Steelers and
the product they put in on the field.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Okay, off, I gotta breathe.

Speaker 11 (22:10):
Okay, just give me, Just give you one second out
through the mouth.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
So listen.

Speaker 11 (22:15):
The worst thing you can test, No, I leave that
to Mike g Listen. Steel fans have all the right
to be upset because they've been watching an average movie
for the last couple of years. Like, you don't mind
watching a good movie, but what it's been an average movie.
You're like, you're tired of it, and it's still a
nation is tired of it. And then when you hear the.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
Chance flow throughout the building of Fire Mike Tomlin.

Speaker 11 (22:37):
When they boo renegade, and then you see the end
result and on how the Bills pretty much stomped all
over the Steelers, it makes you. It makes you sick
to your stomach. All I can account for is saying,
hey man, you get nothing from giving up. You've gone
this far, You've supported this team, You've been through all
the ups and downs. You were sold the bill of
goods that hey, we got Aaron Rodgers, we have a

(22:59):
defense that can play out a high level. Things are
going to be good, and they haven't been. But what
you do have to believe in the fact that this team,
these leaders in.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
This locker room, they have a lot of pride.

Speaker 11 (23:09):
You talk about Aaron Rodgers stepping up and say, hey man,
this is not a coaching problem.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
This is a player problem. Guys have to be accountable
for themselves and how they play and how they prepare.

Speaker 11 (23:17):
He talked about a bad week of practice Manty can
attest to this.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
How you practice is how you play.

Speaker 11 (23:23):
So if you had a bad week against a word
of the opponent, that's the outcome.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
That's a player problem.

Speaker 11 (23:27):
So this is the time of the year where you
don't want to see player only meetings, But this may
be a time where you need a player only meeting.
So if you're the TJ, watch the cam Heywoods and
the Jalen Ramseys, the Aaron Rodgers. This is a time
where you stand up and say, hey man, we got
five games left. We got the ball, we got the
Baltimore Ravens, we have equal records.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
It is what it is.

Speaker 11 (23:47):
At this point, can we run for the hill with
charge of hill and let's go get this thing? The
divisions in your hands. You can lose it or you
can win it. It all comes down to every man
in the helmet believing one calls one goal.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
It's us versus themb They got to go get it.
So don't give up. Still an issue and.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Put the glasses back on, take your deep breath, and
everybody feels better. Okay, good, excellent, well done, everybody. Mike
g only threw a couple of items and Willie kept
his glasses on the table, calmly, good job, and.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
We still have this clown. The guy is not a clown.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
He's wearing the clown costumes borderline insulting.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
We're gonna be right back on GMTPE.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
This year's in season Hard Knocks takes us behind the
scenes of the NFC East and always fascinating division, which
is filled with storylines once again, and tonight's episode feature
is one of the league's most likable personalities, showing some
love for one of his opposing quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
Take a look, James tex Me, what a great dude, bro.
It takes me jameson congrats on.

Speaker 9 (24:50):
The record and what a just see.

Speaker 7 (24:54):
I just want to congratulate him for being the all
time leading passer in Cowboy history. And I also phrase
it as like it's America's team and just knowing him,
I remember whomen had that were roommates at the Peyton
Manning Passing Academy in Thibodeaux, Louisiana, and we shared with
each other that hey, we're both gonna make it and

(25:16):
look at us now.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
He came out of here ahead of me, but we
did a lot of stuff from.

Speaker 16 (25:19):
Man, Yeah, he did throw like a half back tax pass,
back to the quarterback. Oh, back to Jamie. Yeah, and
then he was coughing. I share attacked the ball in
the air breaks the time.

Speaker 7 (25:31):
He did.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
You gotta pull that up. You gotta show me that, Jamis.

Speaker 16 (25:35):
I always I have known that how to text them,
I'm gonna take you some day, something like that.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
Oh yeah, he hit me back. He just said thank you.
Uh And it was simple as that. I'm sure he
was flooded with messages, but it shows the humility of
him when I know that I sent him a message
when everybody had to be congratulate him, for him to
hit me back, it just shows the respect and everything
that we have with each other.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
But I was just trying to get your own the jewels.

Speaker 16 (26:00):
Yeah, look, Jimmy, giants don't.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Show mutual appreciation can exist even without division. You can
catch hard knocks in season with the NFC East every
Tuesday at nine pm.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
I love Jessic.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
The most subdued we've ever seen Jamis s Winston. He's
just sitting there with his hands on his knees, like, yes,
I did text him, Mike Herrofalo and yes, that just
shows the respect that we have between two quarterbacks. Cool
connection between those two. Mike g I got to ask you,
what else is happening with the Giants these days? And
the fact that there is a rookie that people are
quite excited to see pop off the screen.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
There's just not like a.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Lot of pop happening, especially on Monday night football.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Well, I can't pop if you're not playing.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
You're not on the field.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
And for the second time in a couple of weeks,
up Duel Carter was disciplined for or not basically taking
care of his responsibilities. Now, he wouldn't get into details.
He was asked about it after the game, and he said,
bleep happens. Look, I mean that the forest gump you
step in bleep while you're running like that, Bleep happens.
You have sometimes no control over stuff like that. You

(27:21):
have control of being on time. You have control of
doing everything you need to do, especially when it's already
been brought to your attention.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
When you missed the team meeting.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
A couple of weeks ago, and you said, well, it
was because Mike Kafka changed the schedule as the interim coach.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
There was no real excuse here.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
In the comments, in Ryan Dunlevy's story in the New
York Post. From Dexter Lawrence, we're a little alarming.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Quote just grow up.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Really, I think he loves football, and I think he
takes it serious. His approach to the game is really good.
Just young stuff that can't happen. Okay, so let's stop
it here.

Speaker 6 (27:51):
I'm dull.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
Let's make sure that the second warning that you get
here is when you go okay. I understand that there's
a professionalism that needs to be accounted for here, because
I don't know who the next coach is going to
be here, but he's going to want you on time.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
He's gonna want you in place.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
And like your teammate who has accomplished things and is
currently doing everything you can to battle through an injury,
says you got to quote grow up.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
Well, I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
The thing I love about this whole Hard Knocks thing
is kind of they go in a chronological order, and
the team that really fascinates me is.

Speaker 6 (28:20):
The Dallas Cowboys because for the past.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Three weeks they've morphed into this totally different team offensively
and defensively. So I'm definitely going to be tuned into
this Hard Knocks season episode because I want to see
the inside look at what happened. I know they signed,
they traded for Quinn Williams, and there's a whole bunch
of acquisitions that they.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
Made in the meantime.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
But the offense with Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens, and
you have Dax Prescott being able to just pick and
choose where he wants to go.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
There was a clip that I saw of Ceedee.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Lamb when he was out of the game with that
high ankle sprain. He was watching George Pickens and before
the snap, even before the play even started, he saw
the DV pressed on George Pickens and he himself was like, Oh,
the ball's going to George, and he kept come on, George,
come on, George, you can do. George Pickens catch the
tea a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
At the corner of the end zone. So this is
what the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Are looking like. This is the confidence that they're playing with.
And you have to be confident if you're the Dallas
Cowboys at how your defense has kind of re emerged
under Matt Eberblus. There have been so many questions about
the Cowboys and what they are are they a man team?

Speaker 6 (29:25):
Are they a zone team? Can they get pressure?

Speaker 1 (29:28):
I want to see in this whole hard Knocks thing
and the storylines about what happened with acquisitions, with culture change,
what happened that kind of kickstarted this resurgence that is
the Dallas Cowboys, because it's definitely definitely been something special
to watch and something that we got to follow throughout
the rest of the season.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Willie, Yeah, I'm going with the Eagles.

Speaker 7 (29:50):
Man.

Speaker 11 (29:50):
They got a big game against the Chargers Monday night,
and I just want to see them right the ship
I talked about earlier, the fact that we're questioning about
questioning their identity and what they can do well, what
they can't do well. I just want to see them
get together and realize that, hey, they're eight and four
in the season. They pretty much own the division to
have the Cowboys crawling up their backside there, and they
got to really get it together.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
And I think it's up to Jalen Hurts. Really. I
think this Eagles offense, with this defense.

Speaker 11 (30:15):
They have a chance to really start having some senature
wins down the road. Now, you got to understand it also,
is who Saquon is at this point. The health of
the offensive line isn't good, but there are still answers.
Devonte Smith, AJ Brown, you have got it. But it
all comes down to Jalen Hurks really kind of right.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
In the ship and Kevin Patulo.

Speaker 11 (30:35):
Listen, he's a young offensive coordinator growing into the position.
It's not easy taking over the reins of a championship,
Super Bowl championship team. But I do expect this defense,
who's been kind of spearheading this team.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
To take it up. But not They're really gonna have
to figure out ways.

Speaker 11 (30:49):
To get to the quarterback without Blinchen really get home
with their front four. But everything that's it and the
Eagles waits in an a way, is fixable. They just
have to take accountability and take one game at a
time and really start separating themselves.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
So I'm watching the Eagles put a bow on it.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Let's just touch on the Commander. I said, I'm sure we're.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Going to see in the end season hard knocks with
the NFC East. Is it all injuries for the Commanders
this season? And raise your hand if you want to
enter the chat and the class on the Commanders. But
I got to watch this team a couple weeks back
in Madrid, Spain and Dan Quinn, you know, you'd just
taken over defensive play calling from one of his great,
great close friends, and I know that was heartbreaking for him. Now,

(31:29):
Marcus Mariota, they put up a great fight against the
Broncos a couple of nights ago. But you look at
the Commanders, you look at the injuries. However, they still
have guys on the field, specifically pass catchers.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
So anybody on the Commanders you're looking at I'm looking
at van side.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
I am vantai, Like, how was this thing supposed to go?
Considering they had the offensive for Kiya of the Year
last year, they made it to an NFC title game,
and now it's completely come a part at this core
of the car.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Is it all up to do with the injury to
their quarterback?

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Well, it's fitting that we're all parents, right and I
have a two and a four year old, and my
parents and my kids loved their blankets.

Speaker 6 (32:00):
It provides them like.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
This comfort knowing that no matter where they are on
the airplane, on the couch in the bedroom, that they're comfortable.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
Jaden Daniels had a.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Very very special rookie year because he had a comfort
blanket and that come from blanket was Scary Terry. Now,
Scary Terry hasn't been on the field all that much
this year.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
So when you don't have that.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Comfort blanket that you can go to, when there's somebody
running free from the other team on a defensive line
and you got to get out of there, you have
to get the ball out quick, you can always depend
on going to that one receiver. Jadan Daniels didn't have that,
not to mention, he was battling some injuries and on
top of that, they got rid of Brian Robinson Junior,
who was that guy that he could turn to in

(32:39):
the run game. So this was an offense that you
looked at with Cliff Kingsbury that had so many different
dynamics that how they could hurt you. But for various reasons,
it wasn't either on the field or they'd shipped them
off somewhere. I think that posed a very challenging time
for that offense. So that's how I see the Washington
Commanders Jimmie all.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Right check out in season hard Knocks with the NFC
East Low hanging fruit. Editorially, I'm sure those guys, we
always love the content they push out and the in
season is sure to deliver

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
