a couple first timers on whiteboard Wednesday topics.

Got some games, got some teams.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh yeah, we do a game to play book today.
Well yeah, Mantai James. This weekend of games today, All right, Rowlands.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
GMFB, Welcome, Good Morning Football presented by Old Trapper's a.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Right, Jamie, Mansi, Rashad and Isaac.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Here on a Wednesday, Kyle Brandton parts unknown doing a
work project. Quite convenient for him. I had to do
the highlight yesterday from Monday Football.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
It was a jousy. That was a joozy.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
But what's great about this is Normally we have tables
like this in l A in the off season, but
we are right between weeks eight and nine, as I mentioned, But.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
It's really cute.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Isaac Groschell and Rashad Jennings they had not met until
this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
But would you look at that? You guys stand up.
You know you're drastic the exact same.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Yeah, you know what, we're brothers, you know, we're like.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
What's happening right now? It's the olive.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Green pants, it's the white sneakers, and it's the just
sweetly off white shirts with the buttons just missing a
bowlow cowboy tie.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
I didn't know that that was just like a movie thing,
not bull am I tripping?

Speaker 6 (01:54):
Yeah, you're tripping, bro. I'll look anyone. Philip Rivers all
the time. I played with him that.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, it's on ironic when it's on Rashod, but it's ironic,
but it's on Philip Rivers.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You guys look great. We're happy to have you at
the table.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Someone that's here all the time is Ian Rapaport joining
us this morning our NFL Network Insider rap sheet.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Good morning to you.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
The Commanders are coming off a disappointing loss on Monday,
night they did not have Jaydan Daniels.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
There three and five.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Now, but how does this unit turn things around for
the playoffs in their sights, and what's going on with
their starting quarterback heading in the week nine, trying.

Speaker 7 (02:28):
To figure out how they're going to turn things around.
Starts with Jaden Daniels, and there was some good news
early this week on their star quarterback, who you're right,
missed last week.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
With the hamstring.

Speaker 7 (02:36):
Marcus Mario to filled in, tried his best, but certainly
is no Jaden Daniels in his prime. Jaden Daniels had
a good rehab session yesterdayccording to head coach Dan Quinn,
and is set to practice today. Now that does not
necessarily mean that he is going to play this Sunday
against Seattle, but it at least is a good sign
that he's able to get back out there a couple
of good practice. If he's able to practice fully by

(02:59):
the end of the week, and perhaps Jayden Daniels just
misses one week with that hamstring injury. That was the plan,
that was the thought when he had this injury. We'll
see if he's able to do it.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
Rehab wised for the New.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
Orleans Saints a significant change. Yesterday, sources said that Kellen Moore,
the head coach, met with both quarterbacks and informed them
that Tyler Shuck, the second round rookie, would be the
starter this week against the Rams and going forward.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
A big time.

Speaker 8 (03:27):
Shift for the Saints.

Speaker 7 (03:28):
The future is now for New Orleans. They need to
get a look at all their quarterbacks. They've had Ralegh
for the first half of the season.

Speaker 6 (03:35):
It is time to.

Speaker 7 (03:36):
See what Tyler Shuck really is impressed behind the scenes,
time to see what he can do as New Orleans face.
Is a fascinating decision after the season, obviously depending on
the record. But Shuck starts this week and then for
the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. Finally, finally, Lamar Jackson
is back. John Harbaugh said it. Lamar Jackson said it.

Speaker 8 (03:57):
He is going to.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Play Thursday night against Amaimon Dobins miss several weeks with
a hamster injury. No, obviously, we all thought that he
was going to be able to go last week.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Was not to be said.

Speaker 7 (04:06):
He's looking forward to getting on the grass with all
of his friends. That he is one hundred percent and
will start against the.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Belt All right.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Rap Sheet's good to know. We got to talk about
the Ravens. They have been kind of sad to watch
and then now it's a little intriguing because could things
start to turn around.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
They have been plagued.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
The Ravens have with injuries all season long, which led
to a one in five start, which makes us inspect
how does Baltimore, a perennial playoff team, improve. Now, here's
a look at team since nineteen seventy that have made
the playoffs after starting one in five. There's only four
on the list, most recently the twenty twenty Washington football team.

(04:45):
Colts did it in twenty eighteen, Chiefs in twenty fifteen,
and then the Bengals back where we started this record
in nineteen seventy. So can the Ravens become the fit?
It looks like it's an uphill battle. However, the AFC
North is fascinating. Let's look at the team first and
then we'll look at the division.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Mantai. You see Baltimore, you know the quarterback.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
You know defense, you know the expectation that one John
Harbaugh often coaches his team into. How do you see
the Ravens right now and the way they can.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Turn things around.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Well you're talking about you brought up that word, Jamie, expectation.
I think one thing that we've learned last year about
the expectations that we may have for the Baltimore Ravens,
at least I have for the Baltimore Ravens. It's a
little bit different than what I'm used to. Last year,
we learned in twenty twenty four that that defense doesn't
start off hot. It just doesn't for the first half
of the season. For whatever reason, they just don't start

(05:35):
off hot. However, the last eight to nine games they
start to figure it out a little bit. And twenty
twenty five is teaching us the same lesson. I equated
a lot to cars. I like cars, and if you know,
you know the gear shifter, Yeah, like you have that
gear shifter. Mine is more of the traditional gear shifter.
But my wife has this U called the one you have, Jamie.
I think that has that button, you know, the electric

(05:57):
one that has you push the P for park and
are for reverse.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
There are so many times when I go into my
wife's car look to like I b actually just go
to reach for the gear shifter and it ain't there
and I have to shift gears using a button that's
like the Ravens. I have to get used to a
new expectation. I got to get used to a new team.
I'm used to a fifty two in the middle of
a Mike linebacker and Ray Lewis and Ed Reid in

(06:21):
the backfield just causing mayhem from week one to week
whenever they win.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
The Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I'm not used to this team that kind of slow
into this process and then figures that out in the end.
And I think they're also trying to get used to it.
Remember when day there was a report that they took
off all of those.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
Things the room.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Pulamar actually came out and had this to say about it.

Speaker 9 (06:43):
I told Kanko, our head equipment god. I told him
to take all the games and ping pong, turn the
TVs off.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
If we could have took the TV's.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
Out, it would have been out too. But I appreciate
missus Steve for putting that enough for us, you know.
But yeah, we had to focus. I wouldn't say people
don't take the job series, don't get me wrong, but
like I didn't feel like it was the time for that.
You know, we got a lot of we got a
lot of record.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
So it looks like also Lamar is trying to figure
out and navigate these roads as well, you know about
how can we how can we get this this train
that is.

Speaker 6 (07:12):
Baltimore Ravens back on track.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
So I think as we handle these expectations and we
look at this Baltimore Ravens team, it's looking a lot
better to Jamie's point in the beginning, Isaac, than it
did before.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Absolutely, I love a good mantism. By the way, the
car example, yeah, I mean I was like this.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
We went from cars to ping pong tables, into the
Ravens locker room, back out, and then we landed.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
We are the parallel part the pan is landed.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Lamar Jackson is their superman in this situation. Like Lamar
Jackson is the thing that gives this team hope. The
issue is this defense. When I played for the Chargers,
Gus Bradley was my defensive coordinator and his on the
board it had our goals defensive goals nineteen points. Was
the keep the offense under nineteen points, that's our goal.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
We won the game. Yeah, YadA, Yeah, this.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Team, I'm gonna read them scores forty thirty eight, thirty seven,
forty four and seventeen or the points they've given up
and losses and they've our thirty five point two is
the average? Who cares? The point is that can't happen.
The Texas Bilts and Chiefs all had their highest scoring
games against this defense, and the biggest issue for me
is the fact that they only have nine sacks on

(08:17):
the year. We're gonna talk about Miles Garrett and later
in the show he had five in one game and
this defensive line has nine for the year, So that's
a huge issue. Kyle van Noy came out and talked
about this. He's saying, we got to get better. He
was talking about how coaches can come up with the
ultimate game plan and everything can be perfect, but if
guys aren't winning and guys aren't executing, none of it matters.

(08:37):
So my question is, can this defense, with a lot
of veteran players like Kyle van neyt John Jenkins, a
guy I love, can these guys on the D line
actually make the push to dominate in the back half
of the year. We're We're not in the beginning of
the season anymore. This is now a defense that has
an identity that's more solidified. Can they change who they're
expected to be going to this game? So nine sacks

(09:00):
is like if I'm a D line coach, I'm hitting
my head against the ball round.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
I can't even talk.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Because it's bothers, but you get the point.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
It's perfect absolutely, And talking about the Ravens, I think there,
I think they're setting in a pretty pretty position here.
Here's why. And I'm kind of gonna talk about the
AFC North in general. When I when I was a kid,
I love stories too. When I was a kid, right,
the ice cream truck everybody. I don't know if I'm
dating myself at all, but like the ice cream truck
come down the neighborhood all the time. And there was
one particular day that the ice cream truck broke down

(09:30):
in the neighborhood.

Speaker 8 (09:31):
He just broke down.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
So we would turn and everybody was getting ice cream.
He was just giving it away because he ain't wanted
to melt. There was a whole situation. I went and
told my best friend Todd. I knocked on the door.
I said, hey, Todd, it's going down. The ice cream
truck is gone. It's free, come on get some Well,
Todd was like, all right, I'll be out there in
a minute.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
I said, whatever are you tripping?

Speaker 8 (09:48):
I'm going now. I'm giving myself a combo here just.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
As much as ice cream as Todd still ain't came out.
Long story short, they came, they fixed the truck.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
He's gone.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Now Todd wants to come out like, Todd, you missed
the party. And I feel like that's what happened in
the AFC North is that Lamar Jackson broke down and
nobody took advantage of the situation. Because the Browns, I
can't take them serious. The Bengals are only alive because
of the Joe Flacco. He's giving them CPR until doctor
Burrow comes back. Will Burrow come back in time? I

(10:17):
don't know if the patient be alive. And the Steelers
are still unpredictable.

Speaker 8 (10:22):
When I say unpredictable defense, I.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Feel like Aaron Rodgers has held up his side of
the fence so far, but it's been the defense they've
given up thirty one to the Seattle Seahawks, loss, thirty
three to the Cincinnati Bengals, lost thirty five to Green
Bay loss, and the Jets they squeaked out of win
thank you, because I hate to see them win. But
the Jets thirty four to thirty two points, that's just

(10:45):
not like the Stealers. So the AFC North is wide
open and Lamar is coming back.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Oh no, the ice cream truck, Yeah, it's that.

Speaker 6 (10:53):
You gotta pay for it them.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
What's time doing these days?

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Man Todd is actually still living at home working on fences.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
All right, Yeah, that's tied.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Shout out to Todd.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Tech truly capitalized in that moment on the ice cream
that was really well not everybody wait to bring it,
and not just the x's and o's. We love that
on GMFB. Let's look outside the Ravens. You just mentioned
the North as a whole rashad, but if you look
at the AFC.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
This thing is the wild wild West.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Look at that big old horseshoe on the left, cold
sit as the number one overall seven and one skip
the first round of the playoff.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Seat in the AFC.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Then you have a truly fascinating two three and four
spot with the divisional leaders of the Pats, Broncos and Steelers.
And then normally that wildcard column is what you see
in the division leader column. Now there's a ton of
jockeying for position that can happen. We made an accommodation
where this Ravens chat to put the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
In the lurking column.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Normally we don't have twelve teams, but here we are.
The Ravens are at two and five. We just kind
of explored why you'd have to consider the Ravens at
twelve and two and five to come run in fancy.
What else from the AFC playoff picture catches your eye.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
There's a team that has a little arrow on it
that used to be where the Jaguars sat. Last week
they had. The Chiefs were in the eighth seed. Now
they're in the seventh. And to relate to Rashad's story
about Todd and the ice cream Chuck NFL, you had
your chance, you had your chance to keep the Chiefs out.

(12:25):
It's week nine, whatever it is, it's October twenty ninth,
and they're in the playoff already. That is so crazy
to me that you had your chance. But the Chiefs
right now, Besides, the Colts are playing at probably the
highest level right now and it's only October. This Chiefs team,
I said it last week, plays this brand of football

(12:47):
in December. Guys in December. So going back and relating
my first point, I don't know. This is uncharted territories
for me. I'm not used to the Chiefs being this
good so early.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
So what is that going to mean in December? Does
that mean that they sustain it? We'll see.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
But the fact that that arrow is in the playoff
already is scary.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
It is scary.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
I'm I'm like, was totally wrong about this? Like I
thought the Chiefs were not going to be good. I
was fully done with the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Trying to think that before the season started or once
you saw them the first couple of weeks.

Speaker 6 (13:22):
I think it was a mixture.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
It was like a probably four week window, two weeks before,
two weeks in. I'm like, I'm not I'm not feeling it.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
What made you say that four weeks before the season?

Speaker 6 (13:31):
What made you think like that? You, sir?

Speaker 5 (13:33):
I think it was just kind of like an aging roster.
I don't want to be that guy who makes privates
Kelsey and some even Chris Jones like he's a great player,
but you know, these guys are getting a little bit older.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
I just wasn't, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
So feeling it.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
But I'm wrong.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
Look here, that's right, Hey, everybody at America, I'm wrong. Here's
what I'm thinking about when I'm looking at this one.
You guys played these teams that are on the back
of the AFC, like we had to fit the Ravens
in the picture. Unfortunately, like half their roster is probably
planning for the offseason. If we're being honest, we're now
halfway through the season. Guys are now deciding in their

(14:06):
minds are we actually a good team? Are we actually
gonna go to playoffs? And that's just the reality of it,
in that reality of NFL locker room.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
A team that I'm thinking.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
About a lot right now that you guys are pro
a sleeping on is the Chargers. Because the Chargers are
still three and on the division, they don't have another
division opponent until November.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
Thirtieth, and they have Joe All back.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
So I could sit around and just talk about Joe
All for days and what he adds to this roster,
how much of an impact he just made in the
last game that they played. I mean, this team right
now is seated very well in the AFC and in
the in the AFC West, So I think everybody needs
to just take a second to really recognize how good
they are.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
Also, last thing I'll.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Say on it, let's not forget Herbert is on this
roster and he's the NFL passing leader, and he has
a new girlfriend that he just hard launched. There's so
much good going on in the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
It's busy, busy Chargers.

Speaker 6 (14:56):
The craziest weekend.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Game, Dodgers game.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Like my gosh, Herbert personal life, which he hates.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Was I'm blest.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
I love it, man, you know we think it like Andrews.

Speaker 8 (15:04):
Yes, sir, because I said.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
At the beginning of the season, anybody that's coming out
of so far as who you gotta watch NFC and AFC,
and that definitely is the Chargers on the AFC.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
So I'm totally with you. But this this AFC is
wide open.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
I just want to run through this to see, you know,
for funds, for giggles, see if y'all can answer these questions. So,
if the playoffs were to kick off today, we understand
as a bye. It's a bye by the Colts. Congratulations
to them. So who would be the wild card Divisional playoffs?
It would be the Patriots hosting the Chiefs. Okay, the
Browns hosting the Chargers, and it builds hosting and still
is so question who do y'all think will win between

(15:41):
the Patriots hosting the Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
I want to hear from you guys.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
No, I can't do game predictions on October twenty ninth.
That's terrifying, terrifying, terrifying, terrifying commit.

Speaker 8 (15:50):
That's a hard commit.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
Soft Can I get a soft commit? Just in it's hard?

Speaker 3 (15:55):
I think I think if they played this weekend, if
Chiefs Pats played this weekend, I think I would.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
Pick the Paths absolutely, Pats.

Speaker 8 (16:01):
All right, man, don't write it down. No, no, no,
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
I didn't go against Pat Mahons and Andy Reid.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
Sorry, yeah, well I'm going past no doubt you got
the pass, okay.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
And then brown Shark, I mean, excuse me, the Bronco.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Chargers, Bronco Chargers, Baby, let's go boat up.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
It's in the it's in the.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Bins, okay, okay, And then moving on with the bill
that you got to, I'm like, that's exactly where we are.
That leads to the coach then having to host the Patriots,
and that's that's a hard combination. So I'm just showing
like we don't know where this is going to go.
Still super early, but it is wide open. And I'm
going back to what you said. The fact that they
left the Kansas City Chiefs available and slide in and

(16:48):
they still developed and haven't hit full stride.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
It is kind of scary thing.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
You know what I took away from this segment.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
You guys dress a lake, You look alike, you talk alike,
you think alike. And if you had gone to Isaac's
house and said the ice cream truck has broke down,
he would have followed you right there.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
No, I'm fishing the truck. Yeah, count on me. I'm
fixing it.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, yeah, all right, that was perfect.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Guys looking at the AFC NFC, we'll get to you.
Until then, we're bringing out the whiteboards. Who's going to
be a game wrecker for their team?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
In week nine?

Speaker 3 (17:15):
A little birdie told me that someone at the table
has a little like left turn U turn situation for
the game wrecker question. I can't wait to hear that, Mantai.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
What else we got?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Speaking of game wreckers, Jamie Miles Gar was on one
last week.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
I'm taking a look at his decision to stay in Cleveland,
and this week's edition of that was major.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
We're just getting started, guys.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
We're dressed alike, we look alike, we think of like,
we are a like.

Speaker 8 (17:39):
We love it, we love you. It's good morning football.
Let's go ice cream.

Speaker 10 (17:43):
Chalks outs all, good morning football, guys.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Walk in whiteboards, out s, markers, out erasers, put away
once you write your answer, that's what you're committed to.
First up, check out this video of Quinn Myers absolutely
just detroying three Cowboys players. Sorry, Cowboys players one two?
Great oh countum game wrecker Quinn Minors, Well done, my guy,
he's taking him out left and right.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Pick your game wrecker. Look ahead to week.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Nine, since Miners won the award for a week eight man, TI,
who's on your big board there?

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Okay, well, this guy is in his eleventh season and
he's probably playing his best ball right now. I got
Leonard Williams. Guys of the Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
You know that he's.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Balling when our lead producer, Bill, who often texts me
a lot during games, I was watching the Cardinals game
and Leonard Williams literally ran silence a sideline, made the tackle,
and then grabbed a three hundred pound lineman and threw
him sideways.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
And Bill texted me he was like, did you just
see Leonard Williams? I was like, did I just see him?
What did I not see about him?

Speaker 1 (18:52):
This is a guy that has been holding the four
down for the Seattle Seahawks for the past few years.
He's playing violent, he's playing fast, and he is in.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
His eleventh yier.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
The only thing is he did go to usc and
but that's the only thing that's.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Better about Okay, we don't have to hold out again him.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
Yeah, I do. I hold my boy for me.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
It is the guy that will and is part of
the major reason that the Colts will have a bye
if the playoffs started right now, and that is Jonathan Taylor,
no doubt about it. I think this guy is very special.
He is wrecking havoc. He leaves the NFL in rushing,
he leaves the NFL in the attempts. He has five
point nine yards of carrying nice, he has busted eighty yarders,

(19:34):
he has the biggest place, he has the most touchdowns,
and he's holding and hosting an average of one hundred
and six rushing yards a game which they played the
steerless next day, give one hundred twelve, he's going to
continue down that path. He's five to ten two hundred
and twenty six pounds, runs a four to three nine.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
He's built like a linebacker, he can't run like a
slot receiver.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
And also he is up to potentially break LT's record
this year, and that's for having twenty eight touchdowns in
two thousand in two thousand and six. Wow, so it
can be passed that torch of breaking the record from
LT to JT. I think he's playing special and he's
my MVP.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
I like these two veteran guys in the first two answer, Isaac,
are you going to continue in this trend game wrecker?

Speaker 6 (20:13):
I'm gonna.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
I'm gonna Rocky Halls world, I'm switching it up totally
fun fact, did you guys see the Dion Dawkins quote
about what happened to Josh Allen when he got married
slash gott engaged, How much it changed.

Speaker 8 (20:23):
Who he wasson new person?

Speaker 5 (20:25):
He was a better player because he found love.

Speaker 6 (20:27):
Who else has found loves?

Speaker 8 (20:30):
Mad better?

Speaker 6 (20:31):
Is actually our game wrecker?

Speaker 5 (20:32):
Waterlan playing games honorable mentioned justin fields because he's not
playing Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you can just ride the
highly wink Madison Beer. This hard launch was one of
the best hard launches I've seen in football and sports
in history. Justin Herbert does not like social media. He
does not like the media. Get the camera away for me,
get the jumbo tron camera away from me. But here

(20:53):
he is courtsied with Justin Bieber. With Madison Beer.

Speaker 6 (20:57):
This is huge.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
And also Justin Bieber, or not Justin Bieber. Justin Herbert
happened to be a phenomenal quarterback too, and he's playing
the Titans. He's coming off of a big win. I
don't know how he's not a game wrecker in this game.
He wants to continue the trend of the passing leader
and doing all these great things that he always does.
And he has his girl in the stands. I'm assuming
she would be at the game cheering for him. So

(21:18):
my game wrecker for the week is Madison Beer.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
H I like it.

Speaker 11 (21:22):
I like it.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
You had to switch it out.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
They walk together in success for the Chargers. It's all
done in La At least, I believe Madison Beer and
Justin Herbert were at the Dodgers game.

Speaker 6 (21:31):
They were at Where were they?

Speaker 11 (21:32):
Not?

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Where were they? Not exactly.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Everything's coming up LA sports right now, and a lot
of it has to do with show. Hey Otani, Freddie Freeman,
Dodgers are really fun to watch during the World Series.
But Otani now, because of all of his antics on
the field, could be considered in this current moment, the
greatest baseball player in this era. I don't want any fights. Okay,
we're talking NFL players. I'm just making a blanket statement
about Otani. You got to look at a current NFL

(21:56):
player and pick them and say, this guy has the
potential to say he was one of the greatest at
his position of all time. Manti who are seeing right
now that.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Has this potential in aint potential?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
He is?

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Okay, Brandon Aubrey Nice, Brandon Aubrey O the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 8 (22:13):
He has records areaty guys.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
He's he has the.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Record for five career made field goals over sixty yards.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
The guy just kicks long field goals.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
He has a ninety one percentage over fifty yards, and
he's had thirty five consecutive field goals to begin.

Speaker 6 (22:28):
His career, all NFL records. That guy is.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
I don't know what year he's in. I think it's
like three or four. He has records already. He's the
greatest kicker.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
Of all time. So we don't have to wait long because.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Seventeen for the Datas Cowboys is the goat.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Brandon Aubrey, you have to cleanse the palette with your
Leonard Williams answer.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
Yes, because he did go to Notre Dame.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
Let's go.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
I'm gonna impressed with the drawing. Man, I'm right here
while you're talking. I do tink to after Wednesday is
very seriously.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
I apologize, but I joined it. I mean, listen, no
doubt about it. We're talking about greats, and obviously when
we talk about grace, it's a comparative thing inherently, and
so I'm gonna have to compare Patrick Mahomes to Tom Brady.
Oh that's the best drawing I could do. I'll pollog,
we get in to get it, bro. But when you
talk about this, let's compare real quick. In their first
eight years passes, Tom Brady had twenty six thousand, a

(23:16):
little bit over three hundred. Patrick Mahomes had thirty two thousand,
little old three hundred. That's six thousand to Patrick Mahomes
got them touchdowns one hundred and ninety seven to.

Speaker 6 (23:25):
Two forty five.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
That's forty eight more touchdowns got them.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
We got passer rating.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
I don't get into it that much, but he got them.
Interceptions eighty six interceptions for Tom Brady, seventy four for
Patrick Mahomes as twelve less.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Guess what got them?

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Super Bowl appearances four of them to five got them
super Bowl rings is.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
Tied with three.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Regular season MVPs one to two got them. Super Bowl
MVP two to three got them everywhere. And when you
look at the defenses that they play with, I cannot
argue with anybody that the Patriots had a better defense
pound for pound, Hall of Famers, Pro Bowlers, et cetera.
That Tom Brady is surgical, no doubt about it. But
something about Patrick Mahomes is jazzy. Is jazzy, and he's

(24:10):
unpredictable but structured.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
I love him. We love Jazzy.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
That drawing was uh, that was not got him.

Speaker 6 (24:22):
There we go. The drawing is bad.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
It's like you're like, well, Manti did an elaborate kicking
scheme on his board.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
I'm gonna have many effort get I'll give the efforts.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
All about Anti is applying for a job at Disney.

Speaker 8 (24:36):
Over here with you trying, I'm trying.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
To uh, well, this is kind of an obvious one
for me. Let's go Miles, bring truck Gearrett. Look, put
some respect on Miles name. Were going, Hey, this guy
had five sacks, all this su and then all you
see in the media and on Twitter is well, he
took the money, he chose to go to a losing team.
I have a lot to say about that, which we'll
get into. Miles beat us all at bird. This guy

(25:00):
is literally built different. He's one of the best pass
rushers of all time.

Speaker 6 (25:04):
It's no question.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
Every single game that he plays, he is a game wrecker.
How many players in the NFL can you say week two,
week two week consistently are game wrecking. And this is
the best part of Miles. Put him at three tech,
put him at noseguard, pull him off the ball in
an off position on your third down package, so dominate
that and then you can block him with four or
five guys on the edge.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
He's still going to do what he does.

Speaker 5 (25:28):
Miles Gearrett can easily separate himself as the best of
all time, well greatest of all time.

Speaker 6 (25:33):
That's like the twenty twenty five things.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean you just hard launched a
relationship on GMFB. So you got to go with the goat,
not the best of all time, the boat, the goat.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know how I'm going to
take responsibility for that hard launch when literally the People magazine,
every outlet they were on their.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
So we do the pop culture headlines on GMFB.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
You set the stand.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
You're welcome, You're welcome, just and I got you.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
I'll be here all week whatever.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Last one on whiteboard.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Wednesday, ESPN's Fun Day Football is back with Monsters, Inc.
So you're going to duke it out on the Monstropolis
to your floor is a part of a real time
animated Monday night football game. Catch Monsters a Fun Day
Football Live on Monday, December eighth on ESPN two does
C plus, Disney Channel, Disney XD or the ESPN app.

(26:19):
So you know where this question is going to lead
US Sponsors Inc. Is great, But in your opinion, gentlemen,
what is the best animated movie of all time?

Speaker 6 (26:28):
Mulan Mulan.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
I don't know if the kids ever seen Mola Mushue
Musha's this little red dragon that goes around with Mulan.
Mulan has to be one of my favorite animated movies
of all time. Talk about honor, talk about culture, talk
about comedy, doing things for your family, overcoming trials and
tribulations that all encompasses this movie.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
Musha is hilarious. I love Mushu. That's why I tried
to draw him on here. Valiant effort.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Disney's always got the best voices too, Is that Eddie Murphy,
you got so great?

Speaker 6 (27:03):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Man.

Speaker 6 (27:04):
Not even gonna try to draw this time.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
I'm gonna just say what it is, and that is
lying thing one hundred percent. The circle of life is
so poetic, symbolizes a lot of divinity in order that
every creature has a specific place in life.

Speaker 6 (27:19):
And that's not a specific place to box you in.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
That's a place of where your power truly is. Who
Fossil represents leadership and legacy, a father who doesn't just
reign of authority, but by example and love.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
Simba represents identity.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
In a child who is learning. Learning is a process.
He's not only learning who he is, but who's he
is in Nila being the most underrated powerful role in
the entire movie. Who is persistent, very persistent in Symbol's journey,
just to simply remind him of who he is.

Speaker 6 (27:52):
And so it's something poetic about that.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
I love love, and I think it's a great representation
of it.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
A family, and you're.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Like, listen, family, Like this is what we are having
for dinner, spaghetti and meatballs.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Like the way you talk is so poetic.

Speaker 8 (28:09):
It's giving me a little hurt handles, you know.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
But I know he's going to follow up because we
think alike.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Yeah, I mean I was inspired by that.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
Thinks like me.

Speaker 8 (28:18):
Look isay okay, look Moana.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
I want to get a zoom in on my picture
if we can. I don't know if it, but hey,
hey we got the heart of TAFEEDI yeah. And then
beautiful boat. I don't the proportions are off, but we don't.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
Wait wait wait wait? Is that is that Malia? Is
that Moana?

Speaker 11 (28:35):
Bro?

Speaker 5 (28:36):
Is that Mali? Or is that Mantai? What are you
talking about? We set special guest, We have Mali. You're
well song, that's crazy. My daughter got sick. This is
like the beginning of her understanding movies. When she got

(28:56):
sick a few months ago, we watched Moana fifty million times.
I have the whole soundtrack memorized, and I will say this,
this might be a hot Ta Mowana one much better
than Mawana.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Too, obviously.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
Okay, I'm glad we're on the same page.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
But yeah, this is also an inspiring story of a
young woman who overcomes everything.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
They always are inspiring stories when it's a Disney film.
I will say, as all being parents at the table
and many watching the show, how hard is it to
parent through the initial trauma that the storylines are always
introduced as like finding Nemo for example, like a top
three for sure, And I'm like, just ignore the fact
that he experiences total loss as a small infant fish
and the father is absolutely devastated almost and then loses

(29:36):
his dad because he gets kidnapped by the boat.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
But it's a really good movie. You guys should all
watch it. It's very hard to parent through this.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
You've got a lucky Finn, that's the thing. He Finn
to stay the overcoming.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
Fears and touching the bots nice well.

Speaker 12 (29:50):
The NFL Way to Play Awards are fueled by Gator Rate,
and they are created to recognize and reward players who
lead by example using proper playing technique. We're talking about
our Week eight winner here. He is a rookie offensive lineman,
third round pick by the Bank out of Georgia. And
with more, here's five time Pro Bowl defensive back and
current executive vice President of football Operations for the NFL,

(30:12):
Troy Vincent.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
Our winner this.

Speaker 13 (30:15):
Week comes from the Cincinnati Bengals New York Jets matchup.

Speaker 8 (30:18):
Take your attention to left guard Dylan Fairchild.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
The job of keeping a great base.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
We always talk about stance to start.

Speaker 13 (30:26):
Dylan had a great base, covering up his guy, creating
a nice scene for.

Speaker 6 (30:30):
The running back to run through.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
Let's focus our tension again to Dylan Fairchild.

Speaker 6 (30:35):
Nice job on a combo block. But Dylan's aware.

Speaker 13 (30:38):
Enough to know that this inside zone play could be
coming backside, and he actually uses the linebackers momentum against
him and throws He patted the whole Great job.

Speaker 12 (30:48):
Dylan, Great job, Dylan. Indeed in for a Fairchild's terrific
way to play example, the NFL Foundation is awarding a
five thousand dollars equipment grant that's the USA Football to
a youth or high school program of his choice. Learn
more about NFL Way to Play check out Playfootball dot
NFL dot com next week for announce another winner right

(31:09):
here and coming up next on gmsb Mantai breaking down
the incredible five sacad Miles Garrett had on Sunday.

Speaker 8 (31:16):
Who talks about it.

Speaker 12 (31:17):
A little bit earlier, But he's going to dig in
a little bit more on his decision to stay in Cleveland,
because you know why that was major?

Speaker 11 (31:24):
Don't go aheadywhere?

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Who did I do it?

Speaker 8 (31:34):
Good money football?

Speaker 11 (31:40):
I be him on the Cleans inside last season.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
June up, John Run.

Speaker 6 (31:47):
Yes, that's funny as that clip is.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
The truth is, Miles Garrett has done that to countless
offenses in this past nine years. Since twenty seventeen, his
dominance on the field has resulted in six Pro Bowl appearances,
six All Pro selections, and being named the twenty twenty
three d Defensive Player of the Year. This year, he
has tied for the most sacks in the NFL with ten,
all while leading to the NFL and tackles for a

(32:11):
loss with fifteen, and just this past week he achieved
something that has only happened nine times in the past
twenty years when he recorded five sacks and last week's
game against the Patriots Not only was that performance of
franchise record for sax in a single game, but Miles
Garrett also set another record along the way with his
five sacks performances past week, and Miles Garrett passed Hall

(32:34):
of Famer Reggie White for the most career sacks under
the age of thirty. The crazy part is Miles doesn't
turn thirty for another two months, so there's no telling
where that number will be by by December twenty ninth.
But despite his record breaking performance, the Cleveland Browns would
suffer their sixth loss of the season, losing to the

(32:56):
Patriots thirty to thirteen. In the same game that Miles
Garrett would set a franchise record, he would also be
taken out late in the fourth quarter after the game
seemed out of reach. Frustrated by what happened, Miles had
this to say after his record breaking performance.

Speaker 11 (33:13):
I want to win. I don't care how much time
is on the clock. They got their starters in. There's
a chance we can win. I want to be a
part of part of that. I would throw the whole
performance away for a win.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Miles Garrett's postgame comments sparked a lot of conversation amongst
the football world for obvious reasons. Back in February of
this year, Miles Garrett publicly requested a trade in which
he said, as a kid of the NFL, all I
focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl,
and that goal fuels me today more than ever. He
would go on to say, while I've loved calling this

(33:47):
city my home, my desire to win and compete on
the biggest stages won't allow me to be complacent. The
goal was never the goal from Cleveland to Canton. It
was always been to compete and win a Super Bowl.
Well a month later, Miles so when Miles was signed
a four year, one hundred and sixty million dollar deal

(34:08):
which would pay him forty million dollars a year, becoming
the first non QB in NFL history to make that
much annually. So it's understandable when you hear NFL fans say, well,
you knew what you signed up for, or he took
the money instead of the ring. Still, there is a
sense of loyalty that may be missed in this narrative.
I know Miles was handsomely compensated for his services, but

(34:32):
he still chose to stay when he could have left.

Speaker 8 (34:35):
He still chose to play for a city the others.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Have left behind, whether it be in nineteen ninety six
when the Browns moved the team from Cleveland to Baltimore
in twenty ten when Lebron James announced that he was
leaving the Cavs to join Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh
and Miami in hopes of getting a ring. Even in
businesses like Firestone Tires and Joyanne Fabrics, which were headquartered
headquartered in the area left but one man stayed, and

(35:01):
his name is Miles Garrett. My only question is what
made it? Impact does this decision have on his legacy?

Speaker 6 (35:09):
Let's go ask my friends, Isaac.

Speaker 8 (35:12):
Given all of the variables, obviously.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
You know how he played last week, you know how
he played throughout his entire career. But he had played
with him, and you played with him. You have a
type of insight that some don't have. What do you
see in Miles and his decision to stay? How does
that impact his legacy?

Speaker 6 (35:30):
How do you see it?

Speaker 5 (35:31):
Let's start off with who is Miles as a person, right,
because I think that's something that's all of a sudden
in question, right, Like he chooses money over relationships, and
doing what's right or you know, following his word.

Speaker 6 (35:43):
He's a great guy.

Speaker 5 (35:43):
And I say that, and I know that's kind of
a blanket term, but this is a guy who comes in,
he's a good teammate. We had a lot of fun
with him just in his presence in the d line room,
you know, hosting dinners, whatever whatever it may be. He
was one of those guys which I appreciated. Here's my thing,
this whole debate of he took the money so he

(36:04):
gave up winning? It is the National Football League. At
what point was winning not always the goal? Like now
it's he stayed for He stayed in an NFL franchise
and chose money, like as if the Browns are just
stuck with a forever losing situation. He deserves the money,
he should take the money. That's the NFL, that's the

(36:24):
name of the game. That's why salary caps are increasing.
That's why we just talked about Herbert. Why he's getting
paid so much? God forbid a good player take a
lot of money. That's not even the question. Here's what
we need to be talking about. This franchise which I
played for, has had a few really generational players that
we've seen in similar situation, Miles Garrett being one of them.

(36:45):
Should I bring up Joe Thomas, one of the best
tackles of all time? And what do we say he
was the best that didn't get a championship. We have
to start holding some of these situations accountable. He went
into a camp, training camp situation. Do you know how
many quarterbacks were on this roster during training camp?

Speaker 8 (37:03):
For six gracious six quarterbacks?

Speaker 5 (37:08):
So yeah, when they're like, hey, Miles, we're going to
resign you, we are going to choose to offer you
this money because we want you back and we have
a game plan to win, because we're in the National
Football League and that's our job is to win.

Speaker 6 (37:19):
He should go back.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
This isn't a question. So it's just frustrating because it's
like he chose money. Yeah, that's what he should do
one and the Browns should choose to be creating a
winning culture and a winning roster.

Speaker 6 (37:31):
It's frustrating. I feel very passionately about that, Michael.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
My follow up question to that, Isaac, and I love
to get your insight on it, is somebody like Miles
Garrett would get paid regardless of wherever he went. Totally
like he would have got paid regardless of wherever he went,
but he chose to say so. That's why I brought
up the narrative. There's a sense of loyalty there. How
do you see it? Knowing Miles Garrett personally, and do
you think that he made him moving on could have

(37:55):
given him the better the better chance to get a ring.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
I mean, let's talk about it like we would any
human being.

Speaker 6 (38:01):
Right.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
I think he wanted a prop I don't know this
for a fact, right, but I think he would want
to stay in a situation that's relatively comfortable. This fan base,
by the way, is one of the best fan bases
in the country. I think this is his home. I
think he recognizes that. And I think you bring up
a good point. He could have went anywhere who wouldn't
pay the best defensive end of all time. So you
have to look at it for what it is. He

(38:22):
chose to come back. This isn't him taking money and
like he's like, you know what, I guess I'll just
stay because I want to get paid an extra you know,
million dollars.

Speaker 6 (38:30):
This guy wanted to be here, and I think that's
a testament to who he is.

Speaker 5 (38:33):
I think when you say, like, how does he fit
in this big picture of being a locker room guy
or whatever, there's your answer. He chose to come back
and be a part of this organization. So go ahead
and rashad.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
I mean, I love what you're saying, and I agree
when we talk about the word loyalty, I personally have
a kind of a hot take towards even just that word.
I don't think people can be loyal to people. I
don't think people can be loyal to things. What happens
is people benefit from their loyalty to who they are.
And so an example, right asked my wife, you know,

(39:06):
would you ever cheat to me? And she says, no,
it's I'm gonna be loyal to you. It's like, it's
not you're not gonna cheat on me.

Speaker 6 (39:10):
You never cheated on your exes either, and you're not
loyal to me. I benefit from your loyalty to.

Speaker 8 (39:16):
Who you are.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
And so here's a situation where the Browns are just
benefiting from who this guy really is in his heart.

Speaker 6 (39:22):
And so but I like it. Chase, chase the money,
do what you want. It's the National Football League.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
It doesn't last for long, but it comes to a
point where he has the money check, he has the fame.
He seems like a guy that doesn't really care about that, but.

Speaker 6 (39:34):
He has that check, he has the records check. What
now don't you have is.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
A bring The only issue that I've taken with this
entire thing is that letter that he put out. It
was so well written, It was so intentional and purposeful
with what he was saying.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
It was like there was no mincing words.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
It was I was never hoping to go from Cleveland
to Canton, which, by the way, he essentially had a
one way ticket after his first two years in the NFL.
So for him to say that, and then it honestly
made me chuckle man, TI when you said it, and
then four weeks later he signed this ridiculous deal. That's
the only thing that's made me uncomfortable. I can believe
you that he's a great guy.

Speaker 6 (40:11):
I can.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
I can understand that, like he hosted.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
The team dinners and he wants to stay in the city,
and the city was loyal to him. But so then
why be so outfront with like cause we only see
stuff like that. The letters, the statements come out when
guys are backed into a corner by a team and
the team won't trade him in the team.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
We see it all the time, you know, awkward Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
Situations where Jerry Jones doesn't want to.

Speaker 6 (40:33):
Pay a guy.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
We're talking about it into August eighty sixth and like
all right, we get it.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Then they finally gets the contract.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
But for him to put this out on like February first,
and it was the only thing that we led with
all week on GMFB, just to have it be washed
away with cash leader, That's what makes it uncomfortable for me.

Speaker 6 (40:48):
This is simple.

Speaker 5 (40:49):
Have you ever been in a bad relationship and went
to your partner and said, Hey, I'm really unhappy in
this situation and I'm going to leave you if things
don't change, And then what happens when things go?

Speaker 6 (40:59):
Can things changed? I?

Speaker 8 (41:00):
Can they came right and people change?

Speaker 5 (41:03):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (41:03):
Can you have the heart?

Speaker 5 (41:05):
Yes? There's money help, yes, but yes, I truly. Oh,
but I do think he had an optimism about this
relationship that I'm sure they expressed him.

Speaker 6 (41:17):
Hey, Miles, we have a plan. We're excited to have
you packed.

Speaker 5 (41:20):
Not only are we going to pay you because we
appreciate you, but you know, here's our thoughts on this.

Speaker 6 (41:26):
So that's my thing on it.

Speaker 5 (41:27):
I mean, I don't think he would have taken the
deal if they didn't have some type of game plan
that didn't include having six quarterbacks in your quarterback room
during trading camp.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
Maybe that's what we should be talking about.

Speaker 6 (41:38):
Yeah, and I think to awesome this up.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Whether he's in a Cleveland Browns jersey or another one,
the impact that he's made on the game of football
has been a major one and it will continue to
be one. I just hope for him that by the
time he hangs up these cleats that he has a
major piece of jewelry on his finger to kind of
wrap this whole Hall of Fame career that he's having.

Speaker 6 (41:58):
So man, shout out to Miles Garrett, shout to everybody.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Great job, guys, great conversation this is and that was major.

Speaker 6 (42:05):
Don't you go anywhere. It's good morning football, Let's roll.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
It's time for what's your beef? Presented by Old Trapper.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
Do you know when a woman is pregnant over the
age of thirty five, they call it a geriatric pregnancy.
It's one of the most infuriating terms known to womankind.
If you will, we just got done over the last
couple of weeks freaking out over the Jerry After quarterbacks
that we're playing for the Steelers and the Bengals and
Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco. Well, stop calling Tyler Schuck geriatric.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
At twenty six, He's starting for the Saints this weekend.
He's just a rookie quarterback. Stop calling him old just
because he's twenty six.
