Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good Morning Football.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
That's right, this is Good Morning Football. What's up everybody?
Speaker 4 (00:26):
We are presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerkey, live in
LA in New York. It's Wednesday, middle of the week,
December fourth.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
This is Akbar Bars should be a miller.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Kyle Brant, Peter Schrager in New York.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I'm Jamie Ihrdahl.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
We are going to talk about Hard Knocks AFC North
in season version a lot in GMFE overtime. However, on
this show, I got to lead this hour with the
purchase of the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe
Burrows admission that a year from now he will receive
one of ten Batmobiles. What did everybody think about this
(00:58):
when they heard it on Hard Knocks last night?
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Kyle, First of all, it's awesome. There's many manifestations of
the batmobile.
Speaker 6 (01:03):
This is the Noel and manifestation, which is more like
a monster truck with the two giant wheels in the front.
And he's like, I should just come to every game
and I should get the suit and everything. My second reaction,
I was talking about with Peter in the commercial break
is listen, if you're Joe Burrow and you're making north
of fifty million dollars a year, and as far as
I know, you don't have children or anything like that,
and you're young, buy a three million dollar car.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Why not?
Speaker 5 (01:23):
This is what I would do if I was in
Joe burrow spot.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
It's incredible.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
I want to see the thing.
Speaker 7 (01:27):
I also thought that reveal was really neat because we
didn't know that at home.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
It's not an internet story.
Speaker 7 (01:32):
Hard Knocks captures it in practice where he subtly reveals
it to Jamar Chase and t Higgins and the two
of those guys are like what and they're freaking out.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
It was really cool. It was a fun, youthful moment.
It's fun to be young and rich. I don't know
about that, but Joe Burrow showed us.
Speaker 8 (01:45):
Yeah that's pretty cool. Yeah, that's that's a lot of bread.
I mean, if I could get to go back to
my childhood and buy the Adam West Batmobile, that was
the first Batman bild that I fell.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
In love with. You know what I mean?
Speaker 8 (01:55):
No no no, no, no no no no no no
no no no.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Like that would be cool.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
I had to go back and pause the headline and
be like, oh, it says it's not street legal, but
I feel like you can get away with a lot
of no high who knows time for three and out?
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Shall we?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
We're going to play around to this game three and
out our first down. We are looking at the AFC
West matchup in the Chargers and the Chiefs. This is
specifically intriguing because the Chargers are feeling themselves right now
going a book as a Chief team that is winning.
We understand that, but we just don't know what it's
going to look like against the divisional rival. Guys, do
(02:28):
you feel that the Chargers should be the favorites in
this matchup?
Speaker 7 (02:31):
Heater Chiefs are favored by four points per our friends
at the Lovely State of Nevada, and it does feel
like the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Are playing better football.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
The only reason the Chiefs would be favored would be
A they're home and B just previous years in previous matchups.
But gosh, you're telling me put this in a bubble
and look at this game right now. I think the
Chargers are playing way better football, and that includes the
loss to the Ravens on Monday Night two weeks ago.
They go into Atlanta and the offense isn't even clicking
(03:02):
and their defense carries the way I have seen Philip
Rivers go into Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs. I have
now seen Justin Herbert do it one time on a
Sunday with Brandon Staley.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
When he was the head coach.
Speaker 7 (03:15):
I believe after being in the building for the Chiefs
Chargers game earlier in the season, when the Chiefs just
willed their way to victory and so far, I believe
that the Chargers should be favored, and I think I
would pick the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
To win this game Sunday night in Arrowhead.
Speaker 8 (03:29):
Yeah, I can't see this one. As much as I
love the Chargers, I just can't see the Chargers kind
of winning this one. So I don't think that they
should be the favorite in this one for a couple
of reasons.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
One, I think the.
Speaker 8 (03:39):
Chiefs are probably the number one team in the NFL
winning close games. I mean, they have been able to
ink out some close ones, and it hasn't been pretty football.
I'm not going to sit there and disguise it, but
they find a way to win. And I've said this before,
they have the will to win, and that's just the
thing that it doesn't show up on stat chief And
then on the other side though, for the Chargers, like
the Chargers losing you know, JK. Dobbins is a big deal.
(04:01):
I mean, he was responsible for over half their run
game and to not have him and then to solely
just depend on Lad McConkie to move the ball. You
got to get Quentin Johnston his confidence back up. The
fact that they're kind of going to be struggling in
that department because they don't have really that wide receiver,
that dog that can really kind of take it over
the top. I'm going to say that they're not going
(04:22):
to be favorite to win this one.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
I don't know if they should be favorites. I don't
really speak gambling.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
I don't really care.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
I can tell you what the meaning of the win
would be, because now if you lose this game, that
arrowhead not only you go to eight and five, you
don't go to eight and five, you go to ze
two and you're own two against the Chiefs, And it's like, Jim, this.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Is what we're doing. We came here to beat the.
Speaker 6 (04:41):
Chiefs and maybe Harbaugh will get them again in the playoffs,
and that would be incredible. But I'm looking at my
watch about it. I thought this was going to be
different now. Listen, it took him a minute to beat
Ohio State. But this is a different deal. This is
the NFL and we got to play these guys twice
a year. I'll be disappointed if the Chargers don't win this,
if only for the storyline and the interest. We're supposed
to have a new dog in town. I'd be very surprised.
(05:02):
I don't know if the Chargers are favorited chiefs at home,
there's still eleven to one. Not that interesting to me.
What is interesting to me, Jamie, is something you just said.
We're in this season right now, preserving the magic of
Santa Claus.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Right. The Batmobile is not street legal. Joe Joe Burrow
can't drive that on the street.
Speaker 6 (05:15):
And then I started thinking, I mean, it is a
car that has a motorcycle inside of it, that drives
out and it leaps from building to building. I don't
think he can roll up to the Cincinnati DMV and
say I need my license plate on this. So yeah,
I don't know what the point is of having that
in your driveway. But he did spend allegedly three million.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Do you know what I wish Joe? I wish Joe Burrow.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
When I'm watching that Cliff, I'm like, he bought a batmobile.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
I wish he could buy a defense Wouldn't that be great?
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Wouldn't it be great if he bought some linebackers in
safeties and then we can talk about his game this
weekend instead of a stupid car you can't drive on
the street.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Is that Tom Brady did?
Speaker 8 (05:45):
Wade took pay cuts all those years, Like that's essentially
what he did.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Okay, yeah, I'm bar go ahead. Line.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
There were ten of them.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
They are fully functional, but they are not street legal
replicas of the Batmobile from the Dark Knight trilogy.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
What you can do with money?
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Second down, two teams who went into the sea with
massive expectations, but they have not lived up to them
so far, is what it says.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
They just haven't lived.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Up to them.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
It's just not happening right now, and I don't see
this thing turning around for these two teams. Who has
had the more disappointing season, Peter, is that the Chicago
Bears or the San Francisco forty nine Ers.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I feel you on this.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
I mean, there are two disastrous seasons, and I would
say the forty nine ers have been way more disappointing.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
And a player got shot in.
Speaker 7 (06:29):
August, Like what are we talking about here? And then
you want to talk about real life tragedies, go look
at the headlines what was going on this week with
the forty nine ers, Like this is one of those
seasons that could not end faster for San Francisco, and
everyone just go take.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
A break and we'll see you back in July next year.
Speaker 7 (06:44):
It has been so off the rails, it has been
so tragic, and then you add in the injuries on
top of it, one.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Player after another.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
Last week's injury report was horrible going in with Bosa
out and with all these different injuries, and Trent was out,
and then obviously we lose McCaffrey in a non contact
injury right away, and he's.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
The ir something I'm going to jump in you to mention,
just go to the offseason and start over. Is there
any forecasts for massive change in San Francisco?
Speaker 7 (07:13):
I mean, like I wouldn't, okay, so like Jed is
one who would obviously make changes.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Jim Tumsulla fired after a year, Chim.
Speaker 7 (07:19):
Kelly fired after a year, they went hired a broadcaster
as GM. And it's not like Jed York isn't afraid
to make a big swing. I do not think Kyle
Shannan or John Lynch had anything to worry about.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
This has been such an outlier.
Speaker 7 (07:32):
Of a season of things that those two men can't control.
And I know Niners fans are like, WHOA, Now, wait
in a second when you talk about what this team
has been through injury wise, personal LifeWise, off the field wise, definitely,
it has been one of one and I would say
that is what makes it the most disappointing season.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Those guys are safe if they want to be. Yeah, No,
I totally understand that. I think it was more understanding.
Speaker 8 (07:52):
And you know, with all of that considering, for me,
it was it was hard to put the forty nine
ers in this situation where they were the most disappointing.
So I went with the Chicago Bears. And I think
a lot of it had to do with the fact
that I really got hyped up by hard knocks. I
really did. I mean, I didn't want to be a
believer in young talent coming in and all this other stuff.
(08:12):
But watching Hard Knocks got me, I mean just pumped,
like I fell for it.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
I actually did. Hollywood got me, It really did.
Speaker 8 (08:19):
Like I was all in for the storyline when you
think about Caleb Williams and what he was supposed to
bring to this organization. But I thought about the off
season move too, I mean bringing in Keenan Allen, DeAndre Swift.
I thought, you know, DJ Moore and going into a
second year, this was supposed to be big, coming off
of a big year, new quarterback, young quarterback, like all
of this had the making for a dynamic here, and
(08:40):
then they start off hot in the preseason and then
before you know it, it was just like, yep, no, this
ain't it. So yeah, I'm more disappointed.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
The answer to this question, Bears are for you. The
answer is the Jets. I mean it's the Jets. It's
not even close. It's the Jets by far. If I
have to pick these two teams, it's definitely the Bears.
The Bears don't have this crazy rash of injuries, like
the ninest injuries are fluke.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
It's just bad luck. They got all their guys out there.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
I can't give the Bears an f for this season
because Caleb looks like he's pretty good. But other than that,
it's been a massive disappointment. Incidentally, Jane, I don't know
if you saw it. There's a news report Caleb Williams
bought himself an x wing, a real x wing.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
It's not air legal, but it is functional.
Speaker 6 (09:17):
You just can't fly it around Chicago and bummer Josh.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
It's gonna make a Josh.
Speaker 6 (09:23):
I'm pretty can afford a h hoverboard. That's what he's got,
one of those huver boards. But it's not street legal either,
but you know it works well.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
It's going to make a Josh Allan joke about him
buying be able to afford something, but his wife is
in Hollywood and it was the fiancees in Hollywood. I
don't want to do that. So third down, here we go.
We're heading right to Sofi. It's fifty yards from us.
The Bills are coming to town Sunday they take on
the La Rams.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Here's a question.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
Sean McDermott's been great in second half of the season.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
The Bills look phenomenal. The Rams are putting up a
great fight. Should the Bills be Peter just.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
A little worried with what the Rams could accomplish.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
In a game like this.
Speaker 7 (09:57):
Absolutely, the Rams are playing for everything. They're livelihoods and
this is it. And I'll also give you this. This
is going to be a where Tom Brady's there and
the fox A teams there and a lot of eyeballs
are there. The Rams have now lost two home games
in a row, one of them on Monday Night football
to a lifeless Dolphins team that we saw Thursday night,
(10:17):
and the other one to the Eagles where the entire
stadium was green and Saquon ran all up and down.
So far, if the Rams have any pride and the
Rams fans want to show out, that would be welcomed.
Here they're playing the Bills. Bills were doing snow angels.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
We saw that. I know that.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Josh Allen and the press conference afterwards was like, the
one seed is the goal. But I could see the
Rams coming out and saying, this is our entire season.
That's not quite the feeling in Buffalo despite their desire
to be the number one seed.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
I'm still on a high from being out in Buffalo
and watching them in that amazing win against the forty
nine ers in that snow. There's no way that they
should be concerned. Everything I saw was right there. You know,
I came in very slow on the Buffalo Bills. I
just kind of wanted to see more and more and
just as a and then talking to Josh Allen's quarterback
coach Ronald Curry, I'm all in on the Bills and
(11:07):
adding Josh Allen's name to that MVP conversation.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
But I know that's not the question.
Speaker 8 (11:12):
The question is the Bills do they have anything to
be concerned about?
Speaker 2 (11:15):
And the answer is hell no.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Okay, there you go.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
Sean McVay is the best coach in the NFL. Say
this again, I think this is a very dangerous game
for the Bills. And that's despite of a lot of
things they already know. Sean McDermott eight no in his
career after buys eight and oh always long weeks has
that he always wins after buy and he's had a
long extended weekend. Like I said, very dangerous. It's not
the buyer factoid is not relevant. Just because I think
(11:39):
Sean McVay is the best coach in the NFL. I
do think this is a dangerous game because I can't
let the rams go six and six, get to six
and seven.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
It's kind of see you later.
Speaker 6 (11:48):
And here's a hot take that has nothing to do
with the wrong fact that I brought up. Is it
possible that a bill's lost here might be good for
them about it?
Speaker 2 (11:55):
I mean, might be just hear me out. They are
so high.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
In themselves right now, and they should be. They haven't
lost in a couple of months.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
If you go on the road and oh my god,
we lost twenty three to twenty, don't you just get
a little bit of an ego check and a little
bit of a slap around of bad guys. We can't
mail anything in this loss. Is this loss is not
going to make them out of the playoffs. You still
have plenty of games to get momentum before the playoffs start.
A loss here, it just might be a little bit
of an ego check. It might be a little bit
(12:22):
of look in the mirror that we're not necessarily as
good as we think.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Especially I don't know.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
If I mentioned this.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
McDermott undefeated after the BUYE undefeated, So after this buye,
let's use that as.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Our launch point. Okay, So it's a stat that he
went eight.
Speaker 6 (12:37):
You know, after that win, you just have so many
bleep and research things thrown at youants next.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Question to you. But it makes sense. Ok? Bar hold on,
hold on, okbar, hold on, hold on.
Speaker 7 (12:46):
The Bills have lost playoff games at home to the
Chiefs and to the Bengals in recent years.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Is the one seed so important for Buffalo? If you're
the Bills? Do you need to be at home?
Speaker 7 (12:58):
Is that because it's not like the home field advantage
has been killer.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
In the playoffs?
Speaker 7 (13:02):
So then is it almost okay if you are the
two seed.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
And you I don't know. That's just my po They're.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
Very comfortable at Arrowhead.
Speaker 6 (13:09):
They have been for years to buy obviously, And see
that's why I.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Brought it up.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
What hock bar, what do you got?
Speaker 8 (13:16):
No, I was gonna say they have to buy before
the Niners game, but your point still remains true.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
It was like, yeah, they're.
Speaker 8 (13:22):
Undefeated, and they're gonna come in after that and come undefeated.
But I will say something because I had a unique
perspective being at that game. I was never into energy
as a player, but being in the fans standpoint and
just being at the game as a spectator and filling
the energy. Yo, that thing is real and over Bill's Mafia.
Those dudes are nuts and nuts in a good way.
I mean, I would want to have home field advantage
(13:44):
in Buffalo Orchard Park that plays Rocks over there, So
Bill's Mafia definitely.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
All I can think.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
About is which quarterback would buy a lightsaber if you could,
like the real one from the Star Wars.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I know, maybe Dak Prescott.
Speaker 6 (13:55):
I think Rogers has Rogers has Rogers is way into
Star Wars.
Speaker 5 (13:59):
I think he might have a lightsaber.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
You can buy some of those that are like there's
those people who can take being as like a real
religion and they walk around and think that they're.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Love Star Wars.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
Well yeah, Scott does love it. But you can buy
like a five thousand dollars lightsaber. They're out there.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Yeah, okay, perfect, very well, round it that three and
out was Listen, we had a really fun game.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
We have to get to plus strikes to have five.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
So Ian Rappabort, deliver us the news and we're gonna
roll on with GMFP.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
What's going on in Dallas.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, let's start with Dallas.
Speaker 9 (14:24):
Let's start with Dak Prescott talking to Yahoo Sports yesterday
with some very interesting comments on his head coach, Mike McCarthy,
and this has been sort of the elephant in the
room for the Dallas Cowboys the entire season. Obviously disappointing
season for Dak, for the Cowboys, for everyone in Dallas.
Mike McCarthy, in a contract year, did not receive a
contract extension like his quarterback did before the season and
(14:45):
playing out his contract, leaving the Cowboys with really an
interesting and somewhat unpressed precedented decision at the end of
the year.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
They actually did it with Jason Garrett.
Speaker 9 (14:55):
But across the NFL it never ever happened. So, yeah,
the Cowboys are going to have a decision. Dak Prescott saying, quote,
he definitely deserves a chance and contract and a chance
to coach his team. He Dak essentially saying he wants
McCarthy to have a chance to go out on his
terms and he wholeheartedly believes in him.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
That is a strong.
Speaker 9 (15:16):
Vote of confidence from the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
It has been a bad season.
Speaker 9 (15:20):
The Cowboys are going to have to decide do they
want to give McCarthy another extension.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
But having the quarterback in.
Speaker 9 (15:25):
His corner for sure helps. Meanwhile, let's get on the field.
Now we'll go to the Pittsburgh Steelers and one of
their best defensive players, Alex high Smith, missed the last
couple games with an ankle injury, Mike Tomin saying yesterday
he does, in fact expect high Smith to play there,
playing the Browns, the high octane Browns against the Steelers defense,
(15:45):
having a high Smith out there for sure going to help.
And then for the Los Angeles charge, they have a
huge one against the Kansas City Chiefs this week. In
my understanding, Alad McConkie is very much up in the
air as far as will he be able to play
this Sunday's dealing with two injuries. Dealing ac joint spring
in his shoulders, something that has been ongoing, and he's
(16:07):
also deal with a knee sprain. Both of these things
leave his availability very much in doubt.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
For Sunday, but neither of these are major injury. Dang it.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
We want full, powerful and healthy teams to go up
against divisional opponents.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
We do not accept this Ian rapaport.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
We must say good will and you don't, well, we
can wish still come on our show, Peter.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
He oh, this is so great.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Peter is putting our player knowledge, but not just like hey,
this guy you know, quiz us about it? Like it's
new faces and new places. We're playing a game, shregs.
It's not trivia, but it kind of is trivia.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Jason, you guys are gonna love this.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Everybody at home just stay tuned. How well do you
know the NFL? Well do you know the NFL? Let's go,
we'll see, we'll find out.
Speaker 6 (16:54):
Plus we're gonna get in all kinds of stuff with
this weekend's games.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
We got the Rookie Fab five. Peter tell Us, who's
on it?
Speaker 7 (17:02):
Does Marvin Harrison Junior make it he had a great game? Hey,
Cooper Dejen stop Derek Henry.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Who makes the top five?
Speaker 10 (17:08):
Awesome week for rookies, we'll rank them.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Good morning.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
All right, we love new segments on the show, and
this one's called face value with a funny emoji. Here's
how this is gonna go. You at home and my
co hosts are gonna play this game. I'm gonna host it.
What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna give you three
bullet points describing a player, and you have to name
the player. But it's not gonna be an NFL Superstar
per se, and it's not one of these young up
(17:44):
and coming rookies.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
It's a player who's in the league who we are
familiar with.
Speaker 11 (17:49):
Jamie.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
That is all I got for you.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Are you ready to be the first one in the cauldron?
Speaker 3 (17:52):
You have to go first? Yeah, let's go turn.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Up, Jamie. Here are your three descriptors. Let's get to
the big board.
Speaker 8 (18:01):
All right.
Speaker 7 (18:02):
One, I am tied for third in the league in
rushing touchdowns specific Okay. Two, I am currently on a
first place team.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (18:14):
Three, I won a national title in college, and you
were on the sidelines for many of my games in
the SEC.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Okay, who am I? Okay?
Speaker 4 (18:24):
You are a running back that I covered in the SEC.
The good running backs I had were like Naji, Josh
Jacobs Jobs, first place team, first place team, James Cook,
James Cook.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
James Cook is right, James.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
Give me one memory of James Cook and you can
even go as here White if you want. The two
headed running backs situation at Georgia.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Of course, it was just growing up.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Dalvin Cook was playing for the Vikings at the time,
and being from Minnesota, I always like to talk to
James Cook just because and they I love their brotherly bond,
but Dalvin just a little bit more quiet, or James
just a little bit more quiet than Dalvin. But I
love the fact that he went to Buffalo and his
personality is kind of shined through in the fact that
we get to call him Himbo.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Now that's that himbo akbar? Are you ready you are
you a step bo?
Speaker 11 (19:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (19:19):
All right, I mean that first one, I thought I
have the answer, and I was wrong. It was the
first cool I thought Josh Jacobs. I'm thinking, oh, third
in rush. I said, maybe that's Josh Jacobs, and then
he started going on, no, they're not first.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Yeah, lost, Yeah, this is the game, acbar. All right,
here are your clues.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
One, I am currently third in the league in passing yards. Two,
I'm currently in my twelfth year in the NFL. And
three I'm a former teammate of kicker Nick Folks.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Do we get a little let me know when you
want to hit.
Speaker 8 (19:49):
Former teammate of Nick Folks? Okay, in his twelfth year.
So who is an old head?
Speaker 5 (19:54):
He's currently third in the past for a lot of yards.
Speaker 8 (19:57):
Yeah, oh hold on, hold on now, this you know this,
this is this is this is.
Speaker 5 (20:05):
The two hours.
Speaker 8 (20:06):
Genal Smith, it is you got it, little heads, and
I was starting to dedugeles. Okay, No, I started with
Aaron Rodgers and I started to just deduct all the
different quarterbacks quartermacks.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Yeah, oh man.
Speaker 7 (20:23):
Kyle, there, it's gonna be a little tougher. I think
I'm looking at these clues. It's a little more difficult,
but it's the game.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
Can I challenge the production if I know the answer
after the first or second clue?
Speaker 5 (20:32):
Can I say stop and answer? And I'm gina, can
we do that? Is that I can?
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (20:37):
If I know it, and I might not, I'll say stop.
Speaker 7 (20:40):
I like this, Okay, Kyle, I had five catches on
five targets in week thirteen.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Third on my team in receiving yards.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
All right, don't take a.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
Guess, Keenan Allen, Nope, okay, I have given Justin Jefferson
and Jamar Chase, Mike Sicky Nice I got.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
All right, Jamie.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Second round. I'm a little more comfortable, you ready, Okay, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
all right.
Speaker 7 (21:11):
I am second in the league with twenty plus yard
receptions with seventeen. I am one of fourteen siblings say Flowers.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Zay Flowers is right. We don't even need the third clue.
Speaker 7 (21:27):
I select Clinton Johnson and before Jordan Addison.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
He wears that necklace and it has all the faces
of his siblings on it.
Speaker 7 (21:36):
Oh wow, come on, Jamie's good to say Flowers expert.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
That's good, up, bar All right, this.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
One's a little tougher than Gino. I'm gonna warn you, Okay.
Speaker 7 (21:45):
I have five hundred and thirty one career catches and
thirty one career receiving touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
That's a lot.
Speaker 7 (21:51):
I have played in multiple AFC Championship games.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
My former teammate.
Speaker 7 (21:57):
Is currently leading the league in just about every statistical
receiving category.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Former teammates.
Speaker 8 (22:04):
Oh my god, they're rushing me and they say I
gotta go fast.
Speaker 12 (22:06):
My former team in multiple games fourteen is leading it
just about every statistical Who the heck is leading in
every statistical category justin Jefferson.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
But that's not justin Jefferson, when.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
It's former teammates of that person, former teammate, I have.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
I have no idea. I'm still.
Speaker 8 (22:29):
Yes, Stephan Diggs, there you go, Stephan Diggs.
Speaker 7 (22:31):
It's not him though, No, it's Tyler bullying is your answer.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
I would have never gotten.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
That Tyler Boyd's teammate Jamar Chase is leading in every
statisical category. He's played in multiple AFC Championship games, and
he's had a nice career.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
Oh, I'm sending scram but I didn't have an answer either.
Speaker 13 (22:49):
I figure that out.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
But that's why you played the game.
Speaker 7 (22:52):
It's why we play the game. I'm loving face value.
I think it's gonna be a Wednesday tradition. But we
cannot end it without Kyle's second go around the horn.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
Let's go it's doing on a positive note. Guys, I'll
try to do it.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
This is it, Kyle? Are you ready? My first clue?
Speaker 7 (23:05):
I mean the top three most accurate kickers.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
We got a kicker all time.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
This is one of the most at kickers of all time,
of all time.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Two. I replaced Cody Parky after the double doink.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
I know who it is.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Take your guests.
Speaker 6 (23:23):
The double doink was an infamous kick for the Bears
against the Eagles, which it hit the upright twice. The
next day, Cody Parky went on the Today Show to
talk about it.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
People were very offended. The Bears let him go. Had
a massive kicking competition the.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Following season during the Matt Naga era where they brought
in like six guys and had it be augusta silence soever,
I had to be quiet while they kick and Peter,
I hope after all this build up, I'm right, I
believe the winner of that kicker competition for the Bears
now with the Carolina Panthers is Eddie Pinero.
Speaker 8 (23:50):
Kyle.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
Yeah, Eddie Pinero aka Eddie Denim aka Eddie Money.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Yes, that is play the game. Yeah, is why we
played the game. All different types.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Of good Peter, you escape it now we're doing this
every Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
It's happening, Jerry, what you got hey?
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Well, Akwar.
Speaker 14 (24:24):
We can't wait to see these two teams playing on
Thursday night. As we discussed, the matchup between the Packers
and Lions is a big one and talk about a
lot on the line of the NFC North between these
two rivals. Detroit's run game one of the best in
the league with that two headed monster Sonic and knuckles.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
As they go by.
Speaker 14 (24:42):
That is Jimior Gibbs and David Montgomery. The Lions run
game is fourth in the league in yards per game
and Montgomery sounds like he's ready to capture it another. Yes,
another angry run scepter tomorrow night.
Speaker 15 (24:56):
Huge game, huge implications against one of the better rush
d's in the league. I've gonn to imagine that makes
a guy like you just get even more determined running
the ball.
Speaker 16 (25:07):
Yeah, definitely. I think every opportunity to ever get to
carry the ball, I want to be sure that I
leave my mark while doing so. So it's definitely an
important game. But every game that you know we participating
is very important. So yeah, I'm excited for the challenge.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
He sounds excited.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Right.
Speaker 14 (25:23):
Let's look at Green Bay's run game. Josh Jacob was
limited in practice Tuesday with a calf injury. Who Joe
reporters he feels great at Coach Mattle Flora says they're
being smart managing Jacob's during practice, but it doesn't sound
like he's too worried about his running back.
Speaker 17 (25:39):
Every rep he gets it's meaningful, whether it's in a walkthrough.
He is taking the correct footwork, he's pressing the right gaps,
he's reading it the right way, making sure all the
little details are on point. And then you see the
same thing when he gets a live rep. I mean
just how hard he's going, how he finishes. He just
(26:01):
he's a coach's dream. He does it the right way.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Anna Packer's fan dream too. Let's be honest now.
Speaker 14 (26:07):
The NFL Fan of the Year contest, presented by Captain Morgan,
is back. Let's hear for Atlanta Falcons fan of the
Year Trip Warwick, scurring his season tickets during grad school.
Trip has a perfect home game attendance.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Record for nearly a decade.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
He follows the team wherever they go.
Speaker 14 (26:22):
Trip was in Houston watching his Falcons suit up for
Super Bowl fifty one. Currently halfway through his mission to
visit all thirty NFL stadiums while the Falcons are on
the road. Learn more about all thirty two nominees and
vote for your favorite. Visit NFL dot com backslash Fan
of the Year, but we came back. Peter has his
(26:42):
top five rookie performances from week thirteen.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
You know you don't want to miss this.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
See who is on the list next.
Speaker 7 (26:59):
Good Morning Football bat five. It's a Wednesday shows tradition.
We did the top five rookies. Let's get right into
it with number five. A guy who lost but did
it in national television and was I don't know, the
most dominant player in football yet again. Let's get Brock Bowers,
his love unbelievable player. He leads all tight ends and
receptions like he's unreal this year and he was so
(27:22):
good on Thursday. Here's eighty O'Connell out of Purdue hitting
Brock Bowers get ten catches, one hundred and forty receiving yards,
a receiving touchdown agains at Steve Spegnolo defense, I had
Trent McDuffie covering him one handed grabs like the entire
game I'm watching and I'm just a guy on a
couch and Thanksgiving weekend, you know, just trying to nurse
(27:44):
my hangover, and I'm.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Like, Bowers is amazing. He does all these stutter stuff moves.
He was doing angry runs.
Speaker 7 (27:50):
It was his fifth different game with eight catches and
ninety receiving yards.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Guys, check this stat out. Let's look at the full
screen here.
Speaker 7 (27:59):
I think this really puts it in perspective. Here, how
good Rock Bowers is. Most receptions any player any position,
first twelve games of their career. It's cool rock Bowers
is seven behind Odell who had one of the breakthrough seasons.
I remember Puka came on strong at the end. Jalen
(28:20):
Wattle was consistent throughout. Rock Bauers is the second most
through twelve career games. I know they lost, that wasn't
on because of him. Rock Bowers number five in our list.
Number four, we go to a guy who won and
won by having another one hundred and fifty yard scrimmage day.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Bucky to Duck. Bucky Irving is our number four player
on the list.
Speaker 7 (28:43):
Bucky Irving, when it mattered most in a nail bier
against the Panthers, was fantastic.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Again.
Speaker 7 (28:49):
I believe Bucky Irving is having the best season of
any of the running backs drafted in this last draft class,
and doing so by a country mile. This is the
fourth different time Bucky Irving has showed up on this list.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
If it wasn't for six different.
Speaker 7 (29:03):
Quarterbacks and wide receivers, this guy might be in the
conversation for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Bucky Irving another
tremendous day. That one right there that could have been angry.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
I know that was pretty good.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
He'll get there.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
Bucky Irving awesome in Carolina for the Tampmay Buccaneers, number three,
first time on the list, University of Maryland defensive back
and rookie for Jim Harboss Chargers.
Speaker 13 (29:26):
How about Tarheed Still, this guy's reebus, this guy's ardeen
still was game and Taried Still a Jersey boy from Sickersville.
Speaker 7 (29:38):
Okay, this is He had two different picks, he had
three tackles.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
And he also had the huge pick six in this
game that was so so huge to turn the tie.
Speaker 7 (29:50):
I think Kirk Cousins is going to sleep tonight and
he's having nightmares of Tarheed's still star Still. It was
the first pick six by a rookie since twenty seventeen.
He also was covering two guys who have had huge years,
Drake London and Darnell Mooney. Against those guys, he covered
twenty two different snaps and gave up one catch for
(30:14):
seven yards. Tarheed's still you make the list now, Lad
McConkie's not in the list. He had seven catches for
one hundred yards. We celebrate the offensive guys had to
give Tarheb Still the former Turps some love.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Which leads to our top two. And these are going
to be the top two guys when it comes to
the offensive Rookie of the Year debate for the next
several weeks. Who do I have as number one? Who
do I have his number two?
Speaker 7 (30:36):
Let's start off with the silver medal Monday Night's winning
quarterback Bone Knicks.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Bone Knicks is number two on the list.
Speaker 7 (30:42):
Was awesome again and it was this play which was
so awesome but clutch when he had to be Knicks
through for one touchdown pass this one, but he at
two hundred and ninety four yards. He also ran the
ball when he had two four yards in a big play.
Speaker 11 (30:55):
There.
Speaker 7 (30:55):
Sixth rookie in the quarterback a six rookie quarterbacks who
will era to win each of his first two primetime
games and then got another one coming up against the
Chargers going on a Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
He leads all rookies with seventeen passing touchdowns.
Speaker 7 (31:08):
He's tied for the most wins among rookie quarterbacks with
Jayden And I'll go back to that play again. Let's
go to Buck and Aikman on what might have been
the most purest paths of the entire weekend, maybe the season.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Bon Nicks to second year Man Mimes, third and eleven down.
Speaker 11 (31:26):
The middle, Mims. He's gone touchdown Denver. Marvin Mims walks
it in. They needed eleven on third and eleven. They
get ninety three and a touchdown to Mimes, the rookie
smile on his face, pumping up the crowd.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
Bon Nicks is having a good old time and so
are those Broncos fans. Best part about this Broncos season,
bon Nicks.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Is doing all that. They're on the bye, they're on
the b's.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
Texting with Sean Payton Humble Bragg and he's like, oh, buddy,
I'm going to Florida this.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
Weekend, Like I'm taking a couple of days. I'm like, good,
treat yourself.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
Sean back in the lab after that, and he's got
bon Nicks.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
But that's out. The number one player, the number one player.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
We're going back to the guy who is running point
on this segment for the first half of the season,
Jaden Daniels, quarterback and our number one rookie. This week,
Daniels was twenty five to thirty for eighty three percent
completion percentage. Jesson what he does two hundred and six
passing yards, three touchdowns, a one fourteen passer rating, thirty
(32:28):
four rushing yards and a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
It was his first career game with four touchdowns.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
Did that.
Speaker 7 (32:34):
Daniels in Week thirteen became the first rookie in NFL
history with an eighty percent completion percentage, three passing touchdowns,
and a rushing touchdown in a single game. He's the
first player of any any career year, anyone, any player.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
To do so since twenty two to do so in
twenty twenty four. That's veterans and rookies. You go through
the list of NFL history and you.
Speaker 7 (32:56):
Look at some of the stats, He's up there with
all of them for completed percentage and also just accuracy
and not throwing interceptions.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Jaden Daniels, that guy. Here's our list, guys.
Speaker 7 (33:07):
Tayton Wilson had a huge defensive play. Lad McConkey was
awesome this week. Marvin Harrison was tremendous. There's a lot
of guys left off. Caleb Williams was.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
Great, incredible second half, and we're going with these guys.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Kyle, your thoughts on a fab five.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Bowers drafted thirteenth to the Raiders.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Peter will get your hair blown back about a redraft
this year.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
This best best draft Jets.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Were all in for this season. Jets were all in,
and all they were.
Speaker 5 (33:34):
Talking about is how they got to get all in
in alignment.
Speaker 7 (33:36):
I don't think it would have made any difference. They
took alignment at Penn State. Who was awesome this week?
Olu who might end up being the next Lomus Brown
or the next you know you name.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
It might be Orlando Pace for all we know.
Speaker 7 (33:46):
But to pass on Bowers when you were all in
and Rogers is your quarterback, I don't know. The Jets
were interested in Bowers and they went with the offensive tackle.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
You could debate it for years to be.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
The best part of what the Raiders have done this
year is it's the best thing that's happened to the Powers.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
When you look at Rock Bowers, I went to Brock
Bowers as well. On the right side of the screen.
Eighty four catches that leads the league. It's Jamar Chase
that seventy nine. Cee Lamb is seventy nine, like he
it's not rookies, not tight ends.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
It's like leading the league.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
That's insane.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Eighty four catches and like this is with like wonky quarterback.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
Play, Like this is a phenomenon.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
I love this for ours. Yeah, yeah, me too.
Speaker 8 (34:20):
I remember talking to coach Ap when I went down
to the facility and he was just like just so
high on you know, on brock Barers and what he
brings to the offense. So it's exciting to see him
get this recognition, even despite the fact that the Raiders
are struggling. But I got to say to you, though, Peter, like,
what about Cooper Dejean one hundred and ninety eight pounds
he took down a tour and fifty six pounds running
(34:42):
back at sixty four?
Speaker 2 (34:43):
I mean that was right there was that was that
play alone? Should have put him up in the conversation.
Speaker 7 (34:49):
Yeah, okbar, he's been awesome and he had the tackle
of the week, no doubt.
Speaker 6 (34:52):
Yeah, I'm still crying for more, Beanie, Bishop, Peter my Guyan,
I thought in their show every week.
Speaker 7 (34:57):
Tar Heelson has an argument. I know his teammate Peyton
Wilson was pretty darn good with a fumber recovery touchdown himself.
So great week for the rookies and they're only getting
better as the season goes on.
Speaker 6 (35:08):
Jamie or and all your twenty one plus your birthday
was yesterday.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
Yeah, you're exactly right, twenty one plus fifteen. That's where
I land right now. I like all the throwbacks you
guys are doing, raise the roof.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
All that jazz. I.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
You know what's been really fun. You guys look great
in New York.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
You know what's really fun is watching the resurgence of
Sonic and Knuckles. For that matter, the movies coming out
on December twentieth, Sonic three.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
You've seen Jamir Gibbs and David Montgomery. They've taken on.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
They arrived on Thanksgiving Day with the characters their Sonic
and Knuckles.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
This is awesome.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
So for any of you and the letter jackets, that's
all that's been tremendous.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
Look at that that is from the movie poster.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Well, we have Sonic four, I guess developing on GMFB today,
because is this what you guys are.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Trying to do this? Oh come on right there, back
up a little bit. Yeah, there we go. Yeah.
Speaker 13 (36:11):
I love that.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
That's cool.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
That's cool.
Speaker 5 (36:13):
That's really that makes you knuckle a It makes the
movie has a shadow in it.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Oh yeah, you guys, look on our researcher. He was
the one that came up with that.
Speaker 8 (36:22):
Who's fast between you two by the work.
Speaker 7 (36:24):
I think Kyle would be me, like Troy May would
be Jamis and talking about it running Peter gonna have
a I've been running about twenty years.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
Talk borrow. So I'm right there with you too, man,
I'd blow a handy. I'm blow a handy, all right?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
What about ar what about arm wrestling?
Speaker 9 (36:39):
Go?
Speaker 5 (36:39):
No, no, no no, I'm not telling you to go,
I'm asking we having the segment.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Well seconds.
Speaker 8 (36:46):
I'd love to see you guys.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Do it right now.
Speaker 5 (36:47):
Never mind, it's something good about it. I'll do it later, Jamie.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Just take us home.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
We don't have enough time. I'll get to it another.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
Okay, For the next fifteen seconds, I will tell you
that the Packers and the Lions are playing on Thursday
Night Football. We preview the show coming up on gmt B.
We got Triggers at five, we got baseball. You but
look at those two faces.
Speaker 8 (37:05):
That's it right there, that's right brand Mario mh
