Speaker 5 (00:31):
I bring nothing today?
Speaker 1 (00:32):
So you've got a coffee bok? Kyle?
Speaker 2 (00:34):

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Good Morning Football.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Welcome into GMFB.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know already this morning we can't tell the mem
it on and you guys here at the Deskcoud. They
were looking up his stats because they were like, this
is unbelievable and how many times.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
He forced fumbles.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Here's the most unbelievable stats we've heard this morning. Off
of the field. I have twins, Sesscott a kid. This
man over here has five daughters. Two five, six, eight ten.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
How about those stats?
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (01:38):
They definitely keep me busy.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Definitely going to start having gray hairs real early, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
But they're definitely fun.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
And seeing them active, playing all their sports and doing
good in school, and it definitely is a blast.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Wait.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
Two five, six, eight ten.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
What's the morning look like?
Speaker 4 (01:52):
This is? This must be relaxing.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
It's a lot of screaming, a lot of yelling, you know,
a lot of hair getting done, you know, a lot
of stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
We got a lot of bathrooms. Dog, we do, we do?
Speaker 1 (02:01):
I bet you they got you in that backpedal, Chris,
like back in your playing days. You're just out of there, man, fast, fast.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
In the game room, man, until my little man came.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Man, I'm fast.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
There are they watching d this morning?
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Oh no, they're at school now.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Well, depending on if they got up early, they hopefully
they got to catch about ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Oh well, we hope.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
So all right, we want to get to our insiders.
I know Seth had some questions about was the the
ve getting deeper there from Tom p and you know
what time you were saying you move the mic?
Speaker 1 (02:32):
You can't, You're you're blocking. Yeah, you know there's a
big there we go, there we go.
Speaker 7 (02:37):
This is not take that abnormal amount of skin.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I'm straaight.
Speaker 7 (02:42):
I know what time of day we're on. Now you
tune into The Insiders seven pm Eastern now, yeah, right now,
keeping it professional. I don't want to give you too
much sex this at this hour of the day.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Got whoa wow, whoa jerdy?
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Look at Let's go to Judy, the professional over there, Judy,
what do you got help save us?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Judy?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
What's happening there at the league meetings?
Speaker 8 (03:02):
All right, well, first let's talk about what happened yesterday.
NFL players are now allowed to participate in the Olympics
in flag football. The owners gave their approval to that
Yesterday's still a few details to be worked out with
the players' union, but they are certainly looking forward to players.
It will only be one player per team per country
who will be allowed to participate, but certainly the expectation
(03:25):
is this is going to be a huge boost for
flag football and for American football generally. Now, let's turn
our attention to today. It's all toush push, all the time.
Maybe this is.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
The last time we're going to talk about the toush.
Speaker 8 (03:38):
Push, because the owners are expected to vote on a
proposal that would not just eliminate what we think of
as the toush push, as we have seen the Philadelphia
Eagles so successfully run, but a broader rule change that
actually was on the books twenty years ago or so.
You can't push, you can't pull, you can't throw, you
can't lift, you can't do anything to assist a runner
(04:00):
other than block form. Obviously tom issue here. A lot
of people say, this doesn't really look like a football
play anyway. A lot of concern about the health and
safety aspect of the touch push.
Speaker 7 (04:12):
And this is unique because there's no data to say
that this is a health and safety issue, in part
because you have such a small sample size. This play
gets run fifty to one hundred times in a given season,
depending on how exactly you define the play out of
thousands and thousands of plays here. But what owners have
been told, it's been emphasized to them by the Medical
Express among others. Is that the biomechanics of it, it's
(04:33):
the posture of the play. It's all that mass coming together.
The potentially you could have an issue down the line.
That plus this looking more like a rugby play to
certain people, that's part of the argument for those who
want to outlaw the packers actually broadened this proposal, as
you mentioned, Judy, after the March meeting when it seemed
to be very targeted at the touch push. Now this
is all pushing, all pulling. It's interesting debates. They're going
(04:55):
to be in the room right behind us here in
less than an hour. We'll see if it gets a
vote this morning. If not, then then potentially when it's
the one per club privileged session this afternoon, it could
come back up there. So stay tuned here in the
next several hours. We also are going to have discussion
today duty on the lines proposal. While playoff receiding, I
don't get the sense that this has a lot of
momentum here. And then on sidekick, which is a small tweak,
(05:18):
the one that I hope maybe can give them a
little bit of an uptick in the recovery rate.
Speaker 8 (05:21):
Right, Let's go back to receding for the playoffs, because
this is a concept that has come up occasionally in
the past, and there has always been strong resistance to
the idea that you would take the reward away for
winning the division, that you should be the higher siege,
you should host the playoff games. This, though, is a
concern receding because the question is, we're getting to the
(05:42):
end of a seventeen game season and you're seeing teams
often resting players going into sometimes even the sixteenth week,
the seventeenth week of the season, and the league doesn't
like the look of that. It's a competitive equity situation,
and frankly, as they look down the road and the
potential of an eighteen game regular season, that would only
(06:03):
be more opportun unities for teams to rest players going
into the final weeks. That is the concern that is
why this is coming up again, receding for the playoffs.
I don't get the sense either that it has much
momentum now. I do get the sense that this is
laying the groundwork people to start thinking about this as
they approach negotiations to go to an eighteen game regular season.
(06:25):
That may be when they then reconsider receding.
Speaker 7 (06:28):
I know that Kyle has been out on the streets
this morning working in asking people if they want the
Twitsch pushban. Kyle, can you get a sign about how
many buttons I should have open on my shirt? I
want to know what the people want, because that's really
what I'm here to do, is deliver.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Listen, if you want me to go out on the street,
I will come back with some magic mic responses. Tom,
I think you stuck the landing. You're a little bit
on the razor's edge, but I think that's perfect right there.
It's the little double stick tape. We've all done it.
You look great, you're reporting great. And I will take
my megaphone and ask him about your shirt if you
need me to.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
Tom, No tape needed, baby, this is just all natural
physique right here.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Ah and a little wax and they never heard anybody.
Thank you, Thank you, Tom, Thank you Judy professional as always,
We love you. Thank you Sarah. Yeah, look at poor Judy.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
She's like, yeah, I'll just take the same shot next time.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
She didn't ask change one of us. We're talking about
Tom's chest, all right.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
We want to ask Chris, your reaction to Well, they
covered a lot of topics. Obviously, the toush push, the receding,
which we're going to get into, and then there's the
flag football Olympic thing. And I know, just talking to
you this morning, your face sort of lit up when
I said, Oh, my gosh, can you imagine ever being
allowed to play in the Olympics, And a lot of
these guys are so excited about the opportunity that could
be there. What do you think when you think back
(07:40):
to your playing days, if you would have ever been
given an opportunity like that to represent the country.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Oh, definitely would have definitely tried to go in. But
it would have been hard because they're only taking one
player from each team, and I would have had to
go against von Miller and pay Manning, which I doubt
they doubt pay Manning plays flag football. But I don't
see any of the quarterbacks playing in this. I see
more of a skill guys. Hopefully you get to your
top receiver guys Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chay, and
(08:04):
then you get your best defensive backs right, get your
Patser Tana Sauce Gardner, Derek Sting, Stinglely Fitzpatrick. Do you
know it's gonna be fun? And I think it's gonna
be huge. And you know, the NFL, we're greedy, right,
we want the holidays, we want it, We want to
take advantage of everything. We want everything right, we want
all the notoriety that we can possibly get in the NFL.
So I think it's a huge uh, And I'm happy
(08:26):
for those guys getting a chance to go win a
gold medal.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
I understand this perspective, and I appreciate it, and I
love representing your country. But listen, as a fan, if
my top receiver goes out and tears his acl playing
flag football and then missus the season, I am going
to lose my mind, all right. If Jalen Johnson, my
(08:55):
number one, wants to play flag football and goes out
there and tears his whole ankle up achilles gone, God forbid,
knock on wood. But if it happens, what am I
gonna do?
Speaker 4 (09:06):
All right?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
What is the whole Chicago Bears fan base gonna do?
The risk, in my opinion, does not outweigh the reward.
So I don't love it.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
I understand it from a player's perspective. It'd be awesome
to go out there win a gold medal for your country.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
But man, I'm out here living vicariously through my team.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
I need him to do well.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
If they don't do well, I cry, All right, just
hurts my family at home, my daughter, my wife.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
You understand, you got five of them. May you don't
want them to see you fry. I don't want my
baby girl to come to me.
Speaker 9 (09:38):
Dad.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Why do we have to root for this team that
stinked so bad? Well Jalen Johnson towards a cl you.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Know, playing flag football. Excuse me, excuse me. She's not
gonna understand this. I can't explain it to her. All
she's gonna see is tears. All she's gonna see is tears.
So just let us back it up a little bit.
All right, Let's just pump the brakes on this. That's
all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Let's just rethink it.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
I hear you, I hear you. And we've seen the
name Robert Edwards floating around this week. Robert Edwards in
from twenty years ago, blew out his knee playing a
beach football game at the Pro Bowl, and he was
never the same. It's not a fun story. But to me,
I think this is very good news because there's one
thing that is bigger than your team, than our teams,
and it is our country. And I like the idea
(10:21):
of amateur players who've been playing flag football for a
while and they've been stewards of the sport, and that's
great getting to showcase in the Olympics. I think they
deserve that. However, I am not gonna sit here idly
by and watch the United States of America lose in
football to another country. I'm not gonna do it. I
don't care what kind of football it is, tackle football,
flag football. And I will bring your attention to the
(10:42):
reason why I feel this way. Because everyone wants to
talk about the nineteen ninety two Dream Team and we've
all done it. I will bring your attention to the
nineteen eighty eight men's Olympic basketball team, which is the
last team to feature non professionals. He got Danny Manning
and David Robinson and JR. Reid before they were pros guys.
They took the bronze in the eighty eights. They lost
(11:04):
in basketball. Not only lost, they lost to the Russians.
Nay they lost to the Soviets. The Kamis the Reds
going out there with those guys. Two different guys named
Charles Smith, including the one who lost fifty seven straight
layups against the Bulls, and legend has it is still
shooting layups in Madison Square Garden. They had a guy
who's literally name was Bimbo, and we said enough, we're
(11:27):
not losing to anybody. We're gonna unleash the hounds and
hit you with ewing and Jordan and bird and magic.
You send the amateurs there to protect the pros. We're
gonna take a loss from somebody. We're gonna lose the Angolo,
We're gonna lose the Madagascar. We're gonna lose the fleep
in Canada. I will not stand for it. Unleash hell,
give them Lamar Jackson breaking the pocket and throwing it
(11:49):
seventy yards to Jamar Chase in the back of the
end zone, and the United States of America will win
via the NFL firepower. That's my message to you.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
That thing you got, well, here's the things you got
me I mean is going well. I just don't subscribe
to the idea of like I know you're saying like
you can't have these star players. But as you were
talking about that, we're watching video of them playing in
the Pro Bowl. I mean, and you know, Christy, I mean,
things can happen, working out, happens in off seasons, whatever,
(12:22):
So I just think you can't have that sort of mentality.
I mean, these guys are doing stuff like that anyway,
it's also not going to be I think, and we
were looking at some of the rules. I think the
first idea that cross people's minds when it was this
Olympic team, that it's this huge roster and like you're
going to just see this mass exodus of NFL players
jump over. It's ten players.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
I believe it's ten players.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
And then Judy was talking about it's only one per team,
so not even every NFL team will have a player
on there. But I'm with Kyle on it. And I
also just think the opportunity we saw, you know, in
the golf world, when these pgh or golfers have a
chance to go win an Olympic gold medal, I mean,
it's just something they've never been able to do before.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
I think it's awesome.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
I think it's awesome to put on the jersey I
think it'll be incredible and you can't worry about the
other stuff. That's my take me. All right, there we go,
all right, we're switching seth. All right, we know the
decision on the flag football that is out there. There's
other rule changes Judy mentioned. I think it's really interesting,
the one about the divisional playoffs seatings. The rule change
would give the home field advantage to the team with
(13:18):
the best record, not just the division winner, So you
can have home field advantage without winning the division. Chris,
we'll start with you. Do you want to see a
change to divisional playoff seating if we wouldn't affect wild
card weekend, but it would be reseeded after that.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I don't want to.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
See a change because those divisional games are big rivalries.
Right when we're in the AFC West, we knew every
time we played Kansas City was going to be a
huge game, and those games are double right. If you
change this, then those games are just regular games in
the season. Now now they don't mean as much. There's
not too much importance to this game versus a divisional round.
So I wanted to keep it the same. I love
(13:56):
the way it is right now. We have great rivalries
going on in the NFL, from the Bears to the Lions,
to the Packers to the Bears. You know, Raiders, Broncos, Chiefs, Broncos.
So we have these rivalries, the Giants, Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
We need to keep that there.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
We need to keep the individual of rivalries and then
you know, if you win that, you get that easy
bid to the playoffs. And I think the Jaguars, the
AFC South Division is that division that's kind of making
everybody mad because you know, you see the Texans making
it very easily to the playoffs every year. So I
see that's probably the reason why ownership and guys around
(14:32):
the NFL want to make a change.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Look, I get it, I understand that.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
And as as far as rivalries go, obviously Bears, Packers,
I just did a draft pick in Green Bay. It
felt so good to go out there and just hurt
all those Packer fans right in their backyard. But look,
it's about winning. The league is about winning. It doesn't
matter if you win two games against your own division.
It doesn't matter if you win the rest of your
you know, non divisional games. It's about winning. Winning is winning.
(14:56):
That's what this league is about. That's what any sports
league is about, right, that's the bottom line. And so
I say, sure, let's do it. Let's let's reach out.
We can't be a to change, all right. This isn't
gonna kill the division rivalries. You still got to play
these teams twice a year.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
You know.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Bear still got to go to Lambeau. Packers still got
to come to Soldier. It's still gonna happen. It's all
gonna be there. It's not gonna go away. But you're
just gonna prioritize winning, and the people who win the
most get the opportunity to host that game at the
end of the season.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
And I dig that. I don't be afraid to change, man,
don't be afraid. It's okay. It's gonna be all right.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
You just changed your answer last question.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Yeah, exactly. We can change a little bit and still
have fun. We can still compete. I can still hate
Green Bay. This ain't gonna stop me from hating the Packers.
This isn't gonna stop me from want to see Jordan
Love get taken down. Come on, now, it's all good.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
We're still in it.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
I with you. I agree with Seth. Listen, this is polarizing,
and people feel very strongly both ways, and I respect
both sides. Listen, the divisional matchups still count. If you
win the division. Even at seven and ten, you are
still in the playoffs. It doesn't matter. It is an
automatic bid to the playoffs winning your division. You just
don't get to go to the playoffs and host a
playoff game, which to me is ridiculous. And I'll give
(16:05):
you reasons why I am in favor of this. Here
are my reasons. Here are starting quarterbacks in the National
Football League in Week eighteen of last season, Mitch Trubisky,
Carson Wentz, Tanner McKee, Davis Mills. You know it wasn't
starting week eighteen. Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Matthew Stafford. Read
Ryan Dunnleavey's piece about this the New York Post. It's
not great, guys, that's not a good product for the
(16:27):
final week of the season. To have all these studs
on the bench and all of these guys no one
wants to watch starting the game.
Speaker 10 (16:33):
C J.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Stroud also pulled in the middle of the game. It's
a problem. We can't have the grand finale of the
regular season be a soft toss competition between backup quarterbacks.
We find problems with the product, we eliminate them, make
it more competitive. You still get your bid if your
division socks and so do you. You just don't get
to host the game. You go on the road and
take your loss like you deserve because you're sub five hundred.
(16:54):
I'm in favor of the change. I don't apologize for it.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Yeah, I'm actually surprised that it's as polarizing as it is, Kyle,
because I think it's sort of common sense in that regard.
All right, Seth freakin Rawlins, isn't the War show today?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Move over?
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Seth Oh, Mikey, we at.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
This guy coming. I mean we were keeping it a secret.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
Not anymore.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
The miss Stop and Dine come reaction to the Browns
moves during the draft. Apparently we got some taper talk
to suthing about it.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Let's go, Mike, you we gotta get into the relationship.
Speaker 11 (17:25):
Yeah, goodall this is so fun and this is why
I love our show.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
We've had Seth Rollins with us, as we have many times.
We love him. He's part of the family here and
today he's kind of been in the middle of the
ring just kicking ass. And doing his Seth Rolins thing.
But then you get what you call in pro wrestling,
a pop where someone else comes out of the dressing room,
the place goes nuts. Seth's face dropped and we got action.
And that pop is coming from a let name the Miz.
(18:06):
Get in here, Mike, hit the music, bringing the mess.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
There he is, let up, hit a pump.
Speaker 12 (18:12):
Let's go, baby, Let's talk so to football, good boarding football.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
I don't know how I feel about right Listen, man,
I don't know how.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
I feel about Seth. What's the relationship between you and Mike.
Let's talk about it.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
The competitive rivalry, but you know our our daughters like
each other, so there's a personal friendship there. But look,
I just he's kind of it's my This is my turf,
Miz is my turf.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Man?
Speaker 4 (18:33):
What are you doing? You know what? I'll give you another.
But here's the thing.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
You didn't have the guts get in the car and
come down here.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
You live in Los Angeles.
Speaker 12 (18:43):
You could have been here. You have been sitting right
next to me. No, I gotta take my kids to school.
So as soon as I've done here, I'm getting in
a car and ship him off to school.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
So that's what I'm doing.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
All right, Well, let's just dig into it, man, Let's
just get into the football chat.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Let's just go right into it. Look, the Browns have had.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Some issues, was starting barter about okay, but look the
Bears too, so we're on the same team here.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
But look, I'm reading.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
The prompter because it's bonkers. The Browns have had forty
forty four zero starting quarterbacks since nineteen ninety nine. That's crazy.
So they took two in the draft this year too.
Why not just add some more into the room. Dalan
Gabriel Shdur Sanders. How are we feeling about whatever strategy
the Cleveland Browns have at quarterback this year? This is
(19:31):
your soapbox. Tell us about how you feel at the
quarterback position in Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Mike more quarterbacks the merrier, in my opinion.
Speaker 12 (19:37):
Look, just ship them all in to the Cleveland Browns
because we got to pick one of them. We gotta
find our franchise quarterback. We had our franchise quarterback in
Baker Beatfield. But what happens We send them away, We
trade them away and give them to somebody else. Then
we take someone else's franchise quarterback and give them the
worst contract in an NFL absolute history. So what do
(20:00):
we do. We're like, listen, we're in a draft. The
Sander's sitting there at the fifth round. Let's just put
them on the team. The circus that is the Cleveland
Browns is happening once again, and.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
I'm all for it.
Speaker 12 (20:12):
Look, I love Big Top Peewee when I saw it
way back when I was a child, and I love
seeing the circus that is the Cleveland Browns. No matter
who is that quarterback, whether it's Jameis Winston, Shardur Sanders,
Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dylan Gabriel.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
Give them all to me.
Speaker 12 (20:28):
Give them all because I'm gonna find a franchise quarterback
sooner or later.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
You posted the state of the Browns analysis, right and
you said that the Browns are going to win the
Super Bowl? Are you going to stand on that today?
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 12 (20:42):
When Shardur Sanders takes over the starting quarterback and he
has all the plethora of draft picks that we have
gotten and we have Miles Garrett on defense, not to
mention adding a Mason Graham at defensive tackle.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
The quarterbacks aren't gonna be able to throw. So what
do we have at offense?
Speaker 12 (21:01):
Offense where we have two new running backs because we
draft and they're all fresh, they're ready, they're hungry, they're dogs.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
And we have the Djoku, we have Judy.
Speaker 12 (21:12):
I mean, what else could you possibly want in a
super Bowl caliber team than the Cleveland Browns? And not
to mention a two time, two time coach of the
Year and Kevin Stefanz.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Let's go, baby, We'll go to the super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
You're laughing now.
Speaker 12 (21:29):
You're gonna come back here next year and you're gonna
pat me on the back and say, you know what
it is?
Speaker 4 (21:34):
You were right?
Speaker 1 (21:35):
I am so I am so. Hey.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
We want you to take us behind the curtain here
a little bit because you and set the friends, you've
had epic battles in the ring. Give us, give us
some behind the same stuff with Seth. What sticks out
to you about facing each other?
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Facing each other?
Speaker 12 (21:50):
Seth is the greatest in ring technician I have ever
wrestled in my entire career.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
And it's and it's not even close.
Speaker 12 (21:59):
He is unbelievably talented physically, but people don't understand the
mental capacity It takes to be a top caliber main
event superstar, and a lot of people called John Cena
the greatest of all time.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
I think when Seth.
Speaker 12 (22:15):
Rollins is done in WWE and professional wrestling, we'll be
talking about his name as the greatest of all time
because mentally, physically, he has all the gifts to become
that person. I mean, people call Sewn Michael's mister WrestleMania.
I mean, if you watched the main event on Saturday
this year in Vegas, you would have saw mister main
(22:38):
event in that ring, in Seth Frickin' Rollins.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
Well, I was very kind.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
I appreciate that, Mike, thank you very much. And you
know what, I was kind of upset though it was
all that footage was just the miz beating me up.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
It was all I called him before and said, Mike.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
All right. So to that point, Seth, hold on, because
I want to hear more about this's fascinating that Mike
just said about in the ring. I want to hear
you guys talk about each other outside the ring, and honestly, Mike,
start with Seth tell us something that we might not
know about him outside the ring, and then Seth do
the same for the Miss.
Speaker 12 (23:13):
I mean, it's easy to go with a great father,
great husband, but I'm going to go with a little
different route. The guy thinks about professional wrestling twenty four
to seven not just inside the ring, but also outside
the ring. He has his own school where not only
does he teach these people and give them the opportunity
to listen to him and learn from a professional wrestler
(23:35):
that is literally in the main event of WrestleMania, but
he also gives them the platform. He uses his Instagram
to put over these up and coming superstars that may
not have that platform for him, and that just shows
what a great person he is.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Dude, I was gonna say, Mike, I'll cut you a
check after we're done here. Look the thing, I could
say tons of stuff about Mike, but what I will
say is my wife and I have this conversation, and
my wife also wrestler the Van Becky Lynch. We have
this conversation all the time, and in my opinion, the
miss is the most underrated, underappreciated surefire Hall of Famer
(24:15):
in the history of our industry. And that's a but.
And I'm saying that so I want to jump in
with the way Kyle framed it. I want to say
a little bit about him in the ring because he's
a consummate professional. Outside of the ring, he is a
consummant professional. He is one of the hardest working dudes
I have ever seen in WWE because he will do
(24:36):
anything at the drop of a dime, and I mean anything,
every single week for the last twenty years. Ms has
been with the company for like two decades now. No
matter what he has asked to do, he does it
with a smile on his face. And I have seen
top guys, top girls come and go.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
And they complain and they whine and they moan.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
You get to the top and the responsibility it doesn't
get easier.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
The higher you get on the total pole, the harder
it gets in the more work you're asked to do.
And or Mike to be able to do this for
twenty years, stay super healthy ninety nine percent of the
time and be able to go and do every single
thing that he's asked to do, from hosting television shows
to jumping on Good Morning Football.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
He's, you know, an avid golfer.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
He's got to be a dad, He's got to be
He's doing all of it all the time, and he
does it with a smile on his face. And I
think if you are an up and coming wrestler, Mike
mentioned my school. If anybody from my school is listening
or watching, or anybody who wants to be a top
star in this industry, look no further than the Miz.
He is the guy that you should aspire to be.
He is that good of a dude and that good
(25:41):
of a performer.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
Thanks man, all right, what a great show today.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
A lot of a lot of positivity now and now
we're talking about you and all the things you do.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
You're wearing another hat.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Coming up, you are going to be hosting the reboot
of American Gladiators, one of my favorite shows of all
time as a kid. So tell us about your history
with American Gladiators. Who is your face favorite gladiator growing up?
Speaker 4 (26:05):
What are your memories of the show?
Speaker 12 (26:07):
Favorite gladiator growing up was Turbo and Siren. Turbo because
I liked his name, and Siren because she couldn't hear
and they had to have like a separate kind of
go for her, and I always thought that was really
cool that she couldn't hear and that she was so
strong and so dominant as a gladiator. But man, let
(26:28):
me tell you, when they told me I was going
to be the host of this reboot of American Gladiators,
I couldn't believe it. I was a huge fan. When
I was a young kid, like I wanted to be
in the hamster wheels, which were called atlaspheres. I wanted
to roll on them because I had a hamster and
I thought it would.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
Be really really cool to do it.
Speaker 12 (26:48):
And now I get to host it, I get to
lead the pack, and we've had our meetings, and let
me tell you, not only are they keeping the nostalgia
of the old American Gladiators that we have known to love,
but they are injecting a lot lot of fireworks into
it and are updating it and making it absolutely amazing.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
I've met all our gladiators.
Speaker 12 (27:12):
They are incredible, amazing personalities, big guys. The contenders are
going to have a lot of work cut out for them.
But man, I mean, this is going to be an
incredible reboot. I cannot wait for people to see it,
and I can't wait to get into it and actually
film it. We're going to be doing that in very shortly,
(27:35):
so I'm excited.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
Man, my three favorite players that I would want to
be American gladiators would be I want to see Sakwan
Barkley out there right. The guy's legs are huge. I
don't know how y'all gonna be able to stop him.
And then who would be your three players that you
would want to be American gladiators in the NFL.
Speaker 12 (27:54):
I'll go I'm gonna go with Miles Garrett, of course,
because one of my ultimate defensive player. I mean, that's easy, right,
That's easy. But then I'm going to go with two
tight ends. I'm going to go George Kittle. I'm gonna
go with Travis Kelcey because of personality, Like a gladiator
has to have a great personality and gotta be out
there right. Not only do that be physically dominating, but
(28:16):
they gotta be someone either you're gonna root for.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Or you're gonna boo, kind of like a WW superstar.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
Mike.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
I love that you mentioned Turbo. It's fascinating. Ian Rappaport
just tweeted that Turbo is gonna be starting at quarterback
for the Browns this year. So they're all the talent
We're gonna be ready. There's been so much positivity, and
there was this whole love fest between Mike and Seth
and we adore that.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Next segment, they're gonna fight. We're gonna ring the bell
and they're gonna fight. It's gonna be Browns versus Bears.
Don't go anywhere in this. Good Morning Football continues after this.
Speaker 9 (28:51):
Ring the bell, it down.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to g MFB meets w WE,
and this match is scheduled for two falls. Introducing first,
he believes Caleb Williams will be an MVP this year.
He thinks the Dallas Cowboys are not America's team, and
he thinks JayR Alexander is a loser, said frigid right.
(29:35):
His opponents, the Pride of Parma, Ohio, one of seven
strangers picked to live in the house, work together, and have.
Speaker 9 (29:43):
Their lives taped.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Six two, two and twenty pounds of charisma. The gentlemen,
how we feel.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
It's that I'm feeling good, I'm feeling spry, I'm all
warmed up. Coffee down. Let's go, baby, Let's rock and roll.
Give it to me what you got, Kyle?
Speaker 1 (30:03):
All right, Mike and Seth, we have a diehard Bears
fan and Seth a diehard Browns fan. In Mike, what
we're gonna do is we're gonna go through two rounds
in which you will each have the floor in competition.
I know there's a lot of respect, but throw that
out of the ring and reach for a chair. Here's
the first tea up, and we are going to start with.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
You, Seth.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Both of these fan bases, let's just say, have been
through a lot. Mike already has a share they've been
through a lot. I want you to convince the people
and convince me the judge that your team's fan base
has endured more over the years and the decades. Seth,
you will go first on behalf of the Chicago Bears.
Sixty seconds on the clock.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
The floor is yours.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
My team, the Chicago Bears, one of the storied franchises
in NFL history, been to the mountaintop, won a Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Know what it feels like, have.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Been on a landslide since nineteen eighty six in January.
All all we've done is go down, and when you're
at the top, it's painful on the downside. The other
side of this, the Browns, they don't know nothing about championships.
They don't know nothing about greatness, so they don't know
nothing about pain.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
You understand me, They know nothing about pain. What's pain?
It's getting this close, getting back to the.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Super Bowl and losing, blowing it to Peyton Manning after
Devin Hester returns to opening kickoff to give the Bears
the lead, and now you've got to suffer defeat. What
pain is is the devil doink.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
The devil doink is pain.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Man, It's pain to live it in my soul forever
and ever, because we reach the top.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
Once you reach the.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Top, you understand what that feels like to be on
the back side of it, on the losing side of it.
You'll never understand real pain because you'll never understand real success.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Man.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
That's the truth. That's truth, man.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
The miss sixty seconds for the Browns, pass the mic
and start the show.
Speaker 12 (31:58):
January eleventh, nineteen eighty seven. Seven year old missus watching
the AFC Championship game. Browns are up by seven. The
Denver Broncos are on the two yard line. They are
backed up all the way in the two yard line.
We have a legendary I guess thing happening called the drive.
(32:20):
Then the following year nineteen eighty eight the fumble. Then
in nineteen ninety four, Art Modell says, after a ten
and six season, we're moving the Browns to Baltimore Ravens.
You ever lost a team like literally hand over the
Baltimore Ravens in nineteen ninety five two, and not only that,
(32:41):
they win two Super Bowls.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
As the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 12 (32:44):
And then we get a team back and we go
through forty forty quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
We have literally the.
Speaker 12 (32:52):
Worst record in NFL history. The worst team in NFL
is zero in seventeen?
Speaker 4 (33:00):
Shall I keep going? The worst contract in history?
Speaker 1 (33:03):
And it's over the bell, It's over. I guess I
tried the runaway, I mean was the Miz and the Browns,
which really kind of makes you the loser because it
was so easy to talk about. It's a fantastic case.
But hold on, Seth. Round two, so MIS wins one
(33:25):
to nothing right now, but round two, this may be
a little more difficult for the Miz. The round two,
if Mis wins, it's over. Which of these teams will
win a Super Bowl? Sooner from this? Stay moving forward,
miss You're gonna go first on this one, and Seth
you get to respond, miz on behalf of the Browns
sixty seconds. We'll win a super Bowl sooner. Why is
(33:47):
it your team?
Speaker 9 (33:48):
Look?
Speaker 12 (33:49):
I was upset when we didn't take Travis Hunter, but
guess what happened. We got a bunch of draft picks
and we got a dog in Mason Graham. No quarterback
in the AFC North is going to be able to
throw the ball because we got Miles, Garrett and Mason
on that line.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
Not to mention, we.
Speaker 12 (34:07):
Got Shador Sanders in the fifth round. He's a first rounder.
I had him in the first round. That's who I
actually wanted.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
But guess what.
Speaker 12 (34:15):
Not only did we get Mason Grant, we got Shador Sanders,
we got we got so many running backs.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
I mean, look at our running backs.
Speaker 12 (34:22):
Now, you got Judkins and you got Samson, who are
absolute dogs. We have Natchoku and Fannin as tight ends.
We have an insane defense, Ward Newsom, you name it,
We've got it. The Cleveland Browns are going to the
Super Bowl. And that is the bottom line. Because the
Mids said so. Not Stone could, but the Mids said so,
(34:43):
Thank you very much, have a nice day. The Cleveland
Browns are awesome, Wow, incredible Seth sixty seconds.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
I think the mis just worked harder in that sixty
seconds than he did in the whole match against Sena,
Like that was heavy lifting. Miss But that's why you're
a pro. Seth respond Why will the Bears win a
Super Both sooner than the Browns?
Speaker 3 (35:06):
I mean, look, in Chicago, we are built to win
within the next few years, if not this year. Right now,
the Cleveland Browns, there is no light at the end
of that tunnel. There is no light at the end
of that tunnel. It's just it's it's bleak, it's darkness.
It's terrible. In Chicago, You've got a rookie. You know,
(35:28):
you know who's who's throwing the ball. You know who's
throwing the ball in Chicago, and you know who he's
throwing to. You got TJ. Moore, you got Romadoonsday all right,
you got Loveland, you got Comet Swift's in the backfield.
I mean, look, we got it. We got a team
that's ready to go. We got to coach. And look,
I'll give you coach credit, two time Coach of the Year,
but I mean, there is no light at the end
of that The front office has botched that whole system.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
There. You play in a very very difficult division with
with the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Look, Joe Burrow, he's gonna he's gonna torch you, all right,
and Lamar Lamar Jackson's gonna torch you. I don't even
care who's throwing the ball in Pittsburgh for you. The
Steelers are going to be twice. It's it's rough pickens
in Cleveland and Chicago. We're on the upswing baby Chicago.
We're built to win. It's gonna happen. We're ready to
go where the talk of the town, where the sexy
team is yours.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
We're gonna win a Super Bowl in the next five years,
no doubt about it. What are you talking about it?
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Ring the bell, Ring the bell? All right, listen. I'm
tempted to give it to Mike because he works so hard.
I think Seth came with better takes and effort. And
we have a tie, guys, Yes, So in the case
of a tie, we have a surprise tiebreaker. Whoever wins
this tiebreaker wins this briefcase right here, money in the bank.
(36:40):
You know it's coming. These guys do not know this
category is coming. But Mike Seth. Listen up. You will
have just thirty seconds for the tiebreaker and you will
both go simultaneously, so be ready. Your tiebreaker tee up
is you need to name as many players from your team,
(37:01):
but it has to be former players. Nobody currently on
the Ross former bears for Seth, Sommer Brown's from Miz
thirty seconds. Whoever names more wins go.
Speaker 13 (37:11):
Johnny Manzelle d McMahon, Walter Payton, Singletary, Steve McMichael, Richard Dank,
William Perry Lantier, Charles Tillman, Miley Brown, Tommy Harris.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
We got Ki mcdown, Rashan Saloon.
Speaker 12 (37:34):
You just go with the Ozzie Newsome, Eric mccalf, Kevin
mack uh uh.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Uh stop the count, stop the count, all right. Mike's
last one was Kevin mack. Seth went with Kate McNown
and Rashan Salam, which is absolutely incredible. Give me the
number for Mike, please, what is Mike keV All right, listen, Mike.
The Mizz's final number was eleven. Browns named Seth. Rollins
was sixteen.
Speaker 6 (38:02):
Sex It's over the cave person, accept baby.
Speaker 10 (38:13):
Yeah, that's why I love yeah now, oh yeah, I
got it.
Speaker 7 (38:27):
I got Mike.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
I gotta tell you. He named sixteen Bears, and I
think fifteen of them were on the eighty five Bears.
So it was it was a clutch to get to
it right, Mike. Watch Money in the Bank June seven,
six thirty PM. Also watched Mike as the new host
as the new American Gladiators. I'm so excited for it.
Miss You're always welcome here. We're always happy to see you.
Speaker 12 (38:46):
Thank you guys very much. Get seeing you set the guys.
We'll see you in the ring.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
Man, You've got great baby.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Welcome back to GMFB news. Out of the league meetings
already this morning from our Judy Batista, Detroit withdrew its
playoff receding proposal. We talked about this, Ian Rappaport, some
contacts here. Without the necessary support, the Lions playoff receding
proposal off the table, perhaps to be revisited for an
eighteen game season. Clearly they weren't watching GMFB this morning
(39:17):
because all of us except for Chris were four it.
We said, I rewar the teams that had more wins. Kyle,
your thoughts.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
They didn't listen to us. Not surprised people feel strongly
about tradition, and the tradition is if you win your division,
you get a playoff bid, you get a playoff home game.
So listen, if you like seeing a team that is
twelve and five going on the road to play a
team that is eight and nine. That is what we
have here, and we'll visit it down the road. I
am not surprised by this, and I'll be not surprised
if the Toushbush gets span later today too. What do
(39:44):
you think, Chris, I love it. Let's keep it the same.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
Let's keep the division games double right, they mean extra,
keep the rivalies going right. And like I said, it's
only an issue with the NFC South, right with the Bucks,
and then with the AFC South. So if we can
get those divisions up, then we won't have these issues anymore.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Cowards, I say, cowards, all of them.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Of course, Detroit did it the cowards.
Speaker 6 (40:07):
Man.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Stick to it, man, stick to your guns. Let's go.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
You know what I'm saying, Well, I want winners to win.
That's what I want winners to win. This is a
game of winning, all right. Geez man, cowards.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
A bunch of them.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
What about winning money in the bank. What are you
doing before we get out of here today?
Speaker 1 (40:22):
June seventh?
Speaker 3 (40:23):
What's happening June seventh, Money in the Bank into a
dome Home of the Clippers right here in Englewood.
Speaker 4 (40:27):
We are doing it.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
Big live on Peacock in the United States, Netflix across
the globe. Maybe I'll be mister money in the Bank
one more time. We'll see who knows that's going to
be a bomb burner, baby.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Set. If somebody's watching and they don't know anything about
Money in the Bank or what that briefcase is, can
you explain how it works.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
It is a lottery ticket.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
You climb a ladder, you take it off the wrong
If you get it, you have it for a year,
and you can cash it in any time you want
on any champion you want. It is a golden ticket
to become the next WWE champion, one for the men,
one for the women.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
It changes, it changed mind, baby, I tell you what.
It's gonna be. A barnburg and.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
A lot of ratches themselves. As you're seeing right now,
they are brutal. Some of the most exciting, jaw dropping,
alle inspiring matches we have in WWE, and you will
see it all Live Money in the Bank Saturday, June seventh.
Speaker 4 (41:23):
It's gonna be look at me, go look at me.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
I'm look it right before. To be fair, that one
was taken away from me. I think that one was
big Biggy got that one. But man, I'll tell you what.
Money in the bank it's a blast.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
And there you go.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
You too can be a money in the Bank champion.
Kyle's got one there. But yeah, man, it's a It's
an incredible event. I'm excited for it. My body's not
ready for it. My old bones ain't ready for I'm
gonna do my best if I'm in the match to
get that briefcase.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
More importantly, where can I get that feather jacket you
walk out in?
Speaker 4 (41:52):
Oh you can't.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
That's one one baby, that's one on one. You know
my style, all right? I got my own thing.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
Look at you. Got to get the noise, you get
my moves in though, you can get a.
Speaker 3 (42:03):
Little dancing in. You miss your money in the bank
coming my way? Oh yeah, you want to come on?
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Uh uh uh teptop Chris Baklara Brochalns sub Checkers
