Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good Morning Football.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Welcome to Good Morning Football.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
We're live in LA, we're live in New York, and
we're live in New Orleans. Of course ahead a Super
Bowl fifty nine.

Speaker 5 (00:31):
What's up, everybody?

Speaker 4 (00:32):
It's Wednesday, February fifth. This is akbar baj B and
millipich Strager, Kyle Brandt. I'm Jamie Ertel.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Kyle, how is from.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Your vantage point in New York? Super Bowl coverage going
in anticipation of your arrival, but also the fact that
we have had twelve days to think about this matchup
looking ahead.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Of this weekend, I mean it's going terribly for me.

Speaker 6 (00:52):
I haven't seen any pictures on social media of someone
on Radio Row who built the stadium out of legos
yet and then another person who built it out of sandwiches.
I'm always here for that. Peter, your boots on the
ground in New Orleans. Have you seen the leg Go
super Dome yet? Because it's not Super Bowl week, I
see that.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
Kyle Dale that we've been doing Super Bowl for twenty
years and Radio Row usually Monday Tuesday is when the
stars haven't really arrived yet, and you will have the
guy who comes in and says, hey, I think the
biggest Super Bowl HOGI And everyone's got to like look
at this giant piece of meat with like salami hanging
off fit and like you're supposed to interview the guy.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
We're past that stage.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
We're only three days away from the weekend, and now
it's really when everyone.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Starts picking up. Traffic.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Last night was insane. My little foot seats were walking
all over at New Orleans.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
They very nice city, by the way, Peter Schrager's got
the boosies around town in New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
All right, pe Shreggs, we see you all right, Off
and running.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
We got Cam Jordan and Josh Jacobs coming on the
show this hour. But first let's check in with Stacey Dale's,
who is with the Philadelphia Eagles this morning for us.
Stacey talk to us about traffic, about legos, about sub
sandwiches that you may have seen on radio.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Row so thus far, but also maybe some football too.

Speaker 7 (02:00):
What's upseas, what's up guys?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Like you know, it's really cool, Jamie. Is what we
always talk about the quarterbacks when we come to a
Super Bowl and we've got two the best defenses in football,
the number one defense and the Eagles coming into this thing.
But the headliner is Saguon Barkley, and it's like it's
written in the stars.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
He's turning twenty eight years old on February ninth. February
ninth is Super Bowl Sunday.

Speaker 8 (02:26):
You couldn't drop.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
A fairy tale better than this. And what's really cool
is they are racking up rush yards behind this guy
on your screen. They need one hundred and ten rush
yards the Eagles do in this Super Bowl to set
a single postseason record. That's somebody that've got thus far
in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
He needs thirty, you guys, to pass.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
The great Hall of Famer Terrell Davis for the most
all time in a season that is regular season plus
the postseason. And he's only getting stronger. That is the
sentiment within their walls, the Philadelphia Eagles. I am in
their team hotel, and you know Steve spagnol is going
to drop a game plan. He's had a lot of
success historically against leading rushing men a Lah, Derek Henry,

(03:04):
and Christian McCaffrey. But when I spoke with Nick Sirianni
this week about the instincts of Saquon Barkley. He would
probably first tell you, guys, the most impressive thing is
the teammate that he is, but she can't undermine what
he's done on the field. It is first and foremost
his vision that separates him. The ability to see the play,
Sirianni told me before it happens, and then you couple,

(03:26):
he said, the instincts with the vision, and then you
layer in the communication, specifically with his offensive line. It
is impeccable. I've spoken with Jordan Mylotta, his left tackle.
I've spoken with his right tackle, Lane Johnson that impeccable
communication is so good that it is nonverbal when they
get into the huddle. So it's Lane Johnson told me,

(03:47):
it's a look in the eye, it's a queue of
some sort, and it's boom. He hits the hole and
he's gone again. Spags is going to drop a big
game plan. We know that that'll be his first priority
on Sunday, and it is his first priority on Sunday.
It should be his first priority on Sunday because Saquon
Barkley is.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
On a mission.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
He's never been in this position before in his seven seasons.
Jamie and he has had an historic season. We're going
to hear from him shortly as pressers get set to
kick off in the team hotel at roughly ten thirty
am local time.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
It's such an incredible story for Saquin Barkley in Journey,
and it feels like one enemy is standing in his
way is Steve Spagnolo.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Stacey, thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
We'll talk to you in a little bit. Let's talk
Chiefs players, shall we outside of Patrick Mahomes because if
you listen to Stacey, just talk about it, we always
go quarterback.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
We always go with the stars.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
So eliminate Mahomes and Travis Kelcey from the following answer.
I challenge you all, Peter, I'll start with you outside
of those two who will need to step up the
most on Sunday to lift their team.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
To a win. And I think there's going to have
to be another option besides Kelsey. And in recent weeks
we've seen players like Xavier Worthy step up and make
plays in Kareem Hunt. Sure, but I'm looking at a
three time first Team All Pro and a potential Hall
of Famer who is thirty two years old and embarking
upon his first super Bowl appearance Sunday afternoon, as everyone

(05:08):
was flying into New Orleans, this tweet ran across my
timeline and I had to share it with the show.
This is from DeAndre Hopkins as he was getting ready
to prepare for his first ever Super Bowl week. To
all the kids out there living in small towns and
small houses with single parents, To the kids who see violence,
who see loss, who don't get the resources that deserve,
but who still have big dreams, Know that I was

(05:28):
a kid in your exact shoes and this week I'm
playing in the super Bowl. Don't give up, work hard,
keep believing where you start doesn't determine where you end.
And there was another moment from DeAndre thoughtful introspective.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Monday night's opening night.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Brandon Marshall, the former wide receiver, is having fun with
the Chiefs players and says, hey, you're a really fashionable guy.
What are you going to wear to the super Bowl?
And DeAndre Hopkins, who is so introspective now and is
such a just a man of confidence but also one
with his truthest feelings, says, you know, my dad died
in nineteen ninety two. He was five months old and

(06:06):
his father passed away and left him just a few
belongings and one of them was a vintage mink coat.
A vintage mink coat, and DeAndre Hopkins said, I always said,
I'm only going to wear that thing if I am
getting to the Super Bowl or if it's my wedding day. Well,
I'm not getting married anytime soon. So DeAndre Hopkins is

(06:26):
going to be rocking his late father's mink coat as
he walks into Super Bowl Sunday. And he brought it
with him down here to New Orleans. This is all
very very real for Hopkins thirty two years old. I'm
not saying it's his last stop, but this was a
guy who was a first team All Pro from twenty
seventeen to twenty nineteen, has bounced around the league the

(06:47):
last few years, and he hasn't had that mega game
for the Chiefs just yet. But when I tell you
speaking to the players on Monday Night about the other guys,
DeAndre Hopkins' name keeps on coming up as a player
that they're not only playing four, but as a player
who can lead them to the plan one more times
a different Chiefs team than other years. DeAndre Hopkins is

(07:09):
one of those reasons why. An incredible story. He's going
to be rocking the MiG coat from his late father,
and I think he's going to have to play a
big game if the Chiefs are going to get by
the Eagles on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Great stuff, Peter, good story.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
That coat would look pretty cool at a parade too.
I just wonder if one of those is coming, you know,
that might be appropriate. We keep kind of waiting for
that huge DeAndre Hopkins moment. We feel like when he
became a Chief, like, it's just this one moment in
the title game of the Super Bowl, and maybe it
comes on Sunday in the Super Dome if you tried.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
The conversation is frequent.

Speaker 6 (07:37):
I'm sure all of New Orleans all over the country
about the Eagles and Saquon and Saquon, and you can't
talk about the Eagles winning this game. And Saquon's not
in the first sentence. So I look at Nick Bolton
on the other side, the linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
When Nick Bolton was in lone.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Star High School in Frisco, Texas, he had one hundred
and thirty tackles. As a senior at Missouri, he had
fifteen tackles in one game against Vanderbilt.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
In his last Super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
Nick Bolton had thirteen tackles to lead all Chiefs. Nick
Bolton needs to have one of these games. There is
your Saquon guy. You know, you talk all the time
about someone who who shadows or spies a running quarterback.
I think thirty two for the Chiefs is looking at
twenty six for the Eagles all day, all day, and
there they are colliding right there. It's a big, big

(08:22):
time opportunity for Bolton.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
He was the hero in this last game. Of course
with the scoop and score. I don't even need that.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
I just need someone to get in Saquon's way, to
get past Lane Johnson, to get pass my Lotta and Bolton.
They got a lot of good tackles on this seam.
Bolton's probably the most celebrated of them, but he needs
to have a superstar game. I think if Nick Bolton's
name is not mentioned the lots by Burkhard and Brady,
I think it's Saquon is doing really good things. I
think thirty two in the Kansas City Chiefs from Frisco, Texas,

(08:49):
by way of Lone Star High School in Missouri needs
to have a massive, massive game because somebody's got to
stop Saquon and he's coming right nixt gap.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, I agree with you.

Speaker 9 (08:58):
That's a good one with Nick Bolton, and of course
we go back to that fifty seven big play. Somebody
else who needs a very big game is offensive lineman
Mike Callendo. I think his game is going to be
paramount because he's going up against this really, really good
defensive line that we keep talking about. You think of,
of course, Jalen Carter and what he's done for that

(09:20):
defensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles and just creating so
much havoc for anybody who's in front of him. You
think about the pressure, like he's tied for first amongst
all defensive tackles with three forced bumbles. He's getting the
most amount of pressure. They can create it through stunt game.
They can beat you one on one. But here's the
story here. Like Joe Tooney moves out to left tackle,

(09:42):
from guard to left tackle, that guard position is now
being occupied by the guy I'm talking about in Mike Collendo.
Mike Callendo undrafted in twenty twenty two.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
He actually traded.

Speaker 9 (09:54):
In med school for the NFL. That's how much he
believed in his ability to play football. His journey is
remarkable out of West Virginia and for him to be
playing on the big in the biggest game at this moment,
hasn't had the reps throughout the entire season, but he
is stepping up. This is a backup that Andy Reid
believes in that is now the starter.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
And boy, you.

Speaker 9 (10:15):
Talk about stepping up for the big one, is this
is Rocky Balboa, this is this is it. This is
the big matchup, and so I'm looking forward to him
to really being able to create holes and protect Patrick Mahomes,
but also to giving Isaiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt the
ability to run as well.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
This is what you have to do when you look
at the Chiefs, the fact that they're going for the
three pete, you have to look at extra layers to
the story. Peter Offa mentioned one name that I'd love
for you to just speak more on in the Joe
Toney experience and just what he has brought in his career,
what he's experienced, and how cool it is that he's
playing again on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Joe Toney's about to win his fifth Super Bowl ring.
I mean fifth, you talk about Tom Brady has the most,
Charles Haley as the second most with five. Joe Tony's
right there. And this year he moved from guard to tackle,
which is a very unprecedented move for a guy who's
a perennial All Pro, truly the leader of that offensive line,
and yet he's so humble. You see him on at

(11:09):
the media night and it's Trey Smith, no one really
coming up to him. It's Caliendo, no one really coming
up to him. Creed Humphrey just wonderfully gracious, and Juwan
Taylor like, this is not your superstar lineup. And yet
there's Joe Tooney about to become the second most rings
in NFL history if he pulls another one in here.
Of course, he's got two with the Patriots and he

(11:31):
has two with the Chiefs. He'll be going for his
third with Kansas City with a win on Sunday.

Speaker 9 (11:36):
And I will just say this real quickly too, because
people hear that and they go, oh, left guard to
left tackle, not a big deal. Those are two different
to position, yes, on the offensive line, but from the
short set to the deeper set like they played the
game totally different. So to be able to have the
mechanics to do that speak to the type of athlete,
but also to the commitment, because not every lineman is
going to be like, Yeah, I'm move out there coaching

(11:57):
that coach. Wherever you put me, I'll figure it out,
I'll play it, and I'll get it right. So that
left tackle position, that's the position right there that you
want to protect the blind side of the quarterback. So
I just want to give him his love and that
because that's not easy.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
To Maybe Joe Toney retroactively can get which position he
played for, which Super Bowl ring engraved on his ring,
if there's space for it on there, just to make
sure we understand how impressive his run could be. Andy
Reid is at the podium now back in New Orleans.
Let's head there and hear from the head coach of
the Kansas City Chiefs and once again speaking.

Speaker 10 (12:27):
To the media, Yeah, we appreciated Bob Sutton all that
he did, and then Spags was able to come in
and jump into that spot and done a great job
with with the guys. I think the thing I appreciate
most is watching the trust that the players have in

(12:49):
them that means that you're you're doing a whole lot
of things right these guys, You're not going to pull
the wool over their eyes, and not for as long
as he's been doing it. So they trust his scheme.
He's a good teacher. They trust him as a person,
knowing that he's going to try his best to put

(13:10):
you in the best position for your skill that he
possibly can, and try to highlight that part.

Speaker 8 (13:19):
Good morning, Andy, Well I'm Scott.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I gotcha.

Speaker 10 (13:22):
I'm going inside to side. This is like a ping
pong match. I got it.

Speaker 8 (13:26):
That sounds good. That sounds good. Thank you very much.
You guys are class acts. Anyways. Nevertheless, you've seen a
lot of great quarterbacks over the years. You've been in
this game a lot. Are there any particular legendary quarterbacks
that Patrick Mahomes reminds you of?

Speaker 2 (13:39):
This guy is the most.

Speaker 8 (13:40):
Poised quarterback under pressure, and we know that his next
stop after Kansas City is going to be Canting, Ohio.
But I know that there has to be a few
guys that come to mind that Patrick probably reminds you of.

Speaker 10 (13:51):
Yeah, I've tried not to compare him. I have been
blessed to been around some great ones, and listen, you
can take a little piece out of every guy and
say he's kind of like this guy. He's kind of
like that guy, but he's really rewriting it for himself.
And that's why I noticed about bringing around the Brett
Farres and the donominant knaves and all these you know,

(14:14):
Michael Vick, I mean all these guys, you know, Alex,
and the thing goes on, Jeff. Of course, I've been
blessed to be around just a ton of them, and
they all kind of put their mark on it, their
own mark. And then somebody will ask that question down
the road about some other quarterback, and you'll probably say

(14:34):
the same thing. The coach will probably say the same
thing I'm saying that they just they kind of draw.
You can draw a little bit from each guy, but
it's really what makes him makes him unique, is that
he does so many things so well, and in a
tough sport, you know, I mean there's the mental part
of it, and then there's a physical part of it too.
And you're back there and you've got three hundred pound

(14:56):
men bearing down on you, and you've got to make
a decision and a split second, and sometimes those three
hundred pound men land on you and you get a
few of those. You know, that's to be able to
get back up and stand in that pocket again in
something some mental toughness. It takes place here so.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Well.

Speaker 11 (15:22):
The NFL and YouTube are hosting an epic flag football
showdown between two of the most popular streamers in the world.
I Show Speed in Kai centat for Super Bowl fifty
nine flag football game on YouTube, presented by McDonald's, bringing
together NFL legends, creators, and musical artists. Streaming the game
live on Saturday, February eighth at nine pm Eastern on

(15:43):
the NFL and I Show Speed YouTube channels. Now, Peter,
We've got a special guest talk about New Orleans, a
guy who knows that city pretty well.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, Sherry, we sure do. Kai Sin.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
I saw him at the Grammy's interviewing everyone in the
Red carpet. And you want to talk about a guy
who is no stranger to the Red carpet. It's our
guest here, one of our favorite people in the NFL,
a long time friend of this show, a Super Bowl
tradition like no other.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Kim Jordan.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Welcome to Good Morning Football.

Speaker 12 (16:14):
Oh yeah, Hey, I'm super excited to be on Yes,
how does how does the team Kiver's team speedwork? Like
like the two guys, they're barely bigger than the pylons themselves.

Speaker 13 (16:26):
But continue. I'm sorry, that's what we're here for.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
We're here on half hold spice this morning, Cam, you
and I have got to get in that Kai Sannat
basement where he just is like on twitch and do
it all.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
We'll get there at some point. That's in the next step.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
But for now, we're in New Orleans and this is
your city.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
You have played your entire career here, you know it.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
Well, let me ask you one thing someone has to do,
the bucket list item if they're visiting New Orleans for
the first time, is what.

Speaker 12 (16:57):
Oh bucket list, you gotta go see the river walk,
you know, go go on down here offptulists and just
just walk the river Walk all the way down. You'll
you'll see exactly what you need to see, you know,
whether that's the big steamboat, whether that's great food that's
going to pass you by.

Speaker 13 (17:14):
It's a good time.

Speaker 12 (17:15):
Just start there because that's going to take you from
the bottom of the French Quarter to Frenchman Street, where
you're going to find great music, great food and a
great time and then off that behalf. Then I can
show you where to eat, and that's where we talk about,
you know, whether that's off Magazine Street like Rumhouse or
wherever that is. But again, I'm a foodie, so I
can sit here and tell you about my favorite spots
all day. But that's what we're now here about this.

(17:36):
Just know, while you're walking, you're going to sweat a lot.
And when you're sweating a lot, you know what happens.
The shirt starts changing colors on you.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Huh.

Speaker 13 (17:42):
And just like you know, just like you don't want
the shirt color to change, you should probably keep the best.

Speaker 12 (17:49):
Sort of dealder you can't find. And that's old spice
for me. Come on, it's it's the game that it's
always changing. But it's not. We're not just talking about
football or walking the river walk or you know's. We're
talking about old space and how it's the changing the
dealder game with its aluminum free sweat absorber and total
body dry field deal go.

Speaker 9 (18:06):
Okay, so of course having freshest So you're walking around
the city walk, we walked to your we walk to
your facility.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Now you're talking about the odor.

Speaker 9 (18:15):
Let's get straight into it, all right, you're repping the
old spice total body dry field deodorant. Be honest, which
teammate are you supplying a couple of bottles too? Because
you know, we got some of them dudes in the
locker room that either take.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
The shower pill or don't use the odrant. Come on,
put them on blast right now.

Speaker 12 (18:33):
You know, I'm I'm I'm going to have to say
I pleaded clearly playing the trenches. So as much as
I love my d line, I probably hate my old
line somewhere deep on the very top of my heart.
So of course it's going to be an office a lineman.
And so if I see a guy, you know, if
I see a guy like Eric McCoy or you know,
Caesar Luiz, who are my dogs? They know, you know,

(18:54):
they like to dance and have a good time, so
which means they're probably leaning on the sweaty side. And
that's that's when you have to hit them with, you know,
just a little product place and you hit them with
a little slide like, hey, brother, I got you this
wonderful mandarin sandalwood, you know, old spicey oder stick.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Just for you Cam, it makes perfect sense. You know
what's making me sweat is I'm looking at the map
of New Orleans. I'm making sure I really understand how
the city is laid out.

Speaker 14 (19:17):
What was the name of that.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Street that you said, because I don't want to be
landing in New Orleans and saying that totally botching that
very popular. It starts with the tch what is it?

Speaker 13 (19:27):
Chopatutis? I gave you that? Earl?

Speaker 4 (19:32):
Kay, Now I'm going to sound like.

Speaker 13 (19:34):
That who knows how to spell that.

Speaker 12 (19:36):
It's one of those It's one of those words you
look at the sign and you're like, oh.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
Well, now I know Jordan told me exactly. So Cam,
it's pretty cool. You guys played both the Eagles and
the Chiefs this year. Your defense held both quarterbacks to
zero touchdowns. As the pass rusher dou Jura in those days,
What is one thing that you could tell somebody playing
on Sunday, Hey, this is how you'd stop Jalen Hurts

(20:01):
or this is how you'd stop Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 12 (20:03):
I'm gonna say, hey, good luck, But if you want
to know the truth we talked about Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 13 (20:09):
He can beat you in the air.

Speaker 12 (20:10):
He could beat you with your feet and then he
gets off the ball to sa Quon home run Barkley.
You know, mister, what is you? Mister twenty five hundred
all purpose yards whatever that is? I mean, come on, dude,
talking about sa Quan two, K A. J. Brown, Davonte Smith,
good luck. Now, we had a great game plan, and
I think we had the defense to match up with
them with with our guys like Tomorrow Davids with Tyro

(20:30):
Matthew with myself, Chase Young, Carl Grandison, and Brian Brazi,
the the sophomore phenom.

Speaker 13 (20:38):
And it was, it was. It was a heck of
a time trying to trying to hold everybody down.

Speaker 12 (20:41):
Uh, you know, we go to we go to Kansas
City and you've got Pat Mahomes, Travis Kelcey and whatever
brotherly heavenly bond that they have with each other. It's
hard to stop. There's it's it's just, you know, pick
your poison, not to mention. You know, if they got uh,
they got worthy over theirs. I DeAndre Hopkins somehow is
is in that mix? I mean they put together an
all star studded cast of wide receivers just for this

(21:04):
this playoff run. At that point again, you start sweating
a little bit, which is going to bring me back
to why you need a total body deodor like old spice.

Speaker 6 (21:16):
You know what, Cam, I'm glad you brought that up
because I was getting so bored hearing about Saquan and Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I want to talk more about old spice. You would know,
and I'll tell you why.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
Because you're from Arizona, you went to college in California,
and you've played your whole career in Louisiana.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
You know what it's like to be hot.

Speaker 6 (21:31):
However, Cam, recently there was snowfall in New Orleans, and
I believe the family got out there and did the
Elson Ana and made a snowman talk us through this.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
This is so cool.

Speaker 12 (21:44):
Yeah, I mean, come on, when are you going to
be in New Orleans where it's just freezing cold all
of a sudden enough to get snow. Hadn't snowed my
entire time here. I think it's just an anomaly, right,
But so we're out there, and of course my role
as a dad is to make their lives fear snow,
just like I hate snow, you know.

Speaker 13 (22:01):
So we got out there, we made a snowman. They're like, Dad,
our hands are cold.

Speaker 12 (22:04):
I was like, oh no, we're gonna get all this
snow fun that you've been dreaming about. We're gonna roll
in it. We're gonna toss the snowballs. So we're gonna
do everything that you want to. And by the end
of the day, I was like, you know, ten minutes in,
I was like, all right, so I'm ready to go inside.

Speaker 13 (22:14):
They're like, no, Dad, we're gonna stay out here.

Speaker 12 (22:15):
And we stayed till that snow thought and I said, wow, okay,
this backfired and now they're like, Dad, can we go
see snow again in the next forty years whenever it
snows again?

Speaker 2 (22:24):
You know.

Speaker 12 (22:25):
But for me, apparently, I thought I thought my kids
would have the same desire to get out the snow
as I do.

Speaker 13 (22:31):
They don't. They loved it.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
They're into it.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Okay, uh km, we love having you on.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
I've got to ask you a very serious question, so
let's change the tone a little bit.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
You're wrapping old spices.

Speaker 5 (22:41):
Total body drive Field deodoran tell us about the product.

Speaker 13 (22:46):
I mean, come on, what do you not need to know?

Speaker 12 (22:48):
I mean again, aluminum free sweat absorbing Total body dry
deodor field deodor where.

Speaker 13 (22:54):
You can use a twenty four seven for total freshness.

Speaker 12 (22:56):
And even if we revert back to the football game
where we want to know things like, you know, is
it going to be like a high scoring game? If
you want to know, like if you want to say, hey,
what is it about this game that's gonna make it
It's gonna make it special?

Speaker 7 (23:11):
Uh?

Speaker 13 (23:11):
Will will it be? Maybe?

Speaker 12 (23:14):
Will it be wise to consider a fortune telling old
spice guy who may know these answers? I'd say, so
just think about them. Look, my guy, my guy is
gonna talk and we can ask him a question. And
let's be real, as much as as much as this
guy knows, we can ask. So if I say, hey,
will it be a high scoring a high scoring game

(23:35):
between the Chiefs and the UH and the Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Eagles, double the freshness.

Speaker 12 (23:41):
It's double first is double a yes, So that's gonna
be a high scoring game. We love touchdowns and my
guy's gonna give you the answers for them.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Cam. You're you're doing quite the lift and we appreciate
you so much. Right now, do you have an old
spice prediction for this weekend that your guy not from
but from you.

Speaker 12 (24:02):
Oh man, I mean, if I said, is this going
to be a game that's gonna be one on Sunday, help,
I must see. I'm gonna say it's a resounding possible.
If we're gonna say, is it a the way I
see it is, if it's a close game, it's probably
going to go the red and white way, And if
it's a it's a game that's not so close, I'm

(24:22):
probably gonna lean towards green.

Speaker 13 (24:23):
I see how both teams can win.

Speaker 12 (24:25):
And I'm just irritated that the black and gold is
not somehow and interjecting all these colors.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
Understand that, and well done, Cam. Thank you for welcoming
us to your fine city. You're awesome, and good luck
this weekend. No matter what you're doing, you and the
old Spice guy, we appreciate you both coming on this morning.

Speaker 12 (24:42):
My man, Hey, thank you for having me as always.
You know it's it's always gonna be hoot at forever
and then you know we'll go from there, all.

Speaker 6 (24:49):
Right, I'm man, Yeah, no aluminum, No aluminum in my deodorant.

Speaker 13 (24:54):
Let's writing illumin all about twenty four seven freshments.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
The Mahomes presser.

Speaker 13 (24:59):
We got a little bit of it.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
Here is Patrick Mahomes talking about yet another Super Bowl week.

Speaker 9 (25:05):
What does Travis Kelsey bring to the Chiefs beyond what
he does on game day?

Speaker 15 (25:12):
I think it's a level of leadership. Someone that comes
to work every single day. And obviously with his career,
he could take reps off, he can kind of wait
to play in the game days, but that's not his personality.
He wants to be out there. He wants to put
the work in. And whenever you have your your Hall
of Fame guy putting the work in. It kind of
bleeds through the rest of the football team.

Speaker 16 (25:32):
Patrick, right here, front road to or left, from the
Hunts to Andy Spags players. Everyone talks about the Chiefs
and all that you accomplished, rightfully so, but maybe not
enough talk about it's a pretty selfless group of people.
It's more about the team than anything else. Could you
talk about that side of your franchise?

Speaker 15 (25:50):
Yeah, I mean, I know how blessed I am to
be in the organization and on the football team that
I'm that I'm on from day one, and it's a
culture that's been set by Coach Reid and throughout the
whole organization. It's about winning. It doesn't matter how it's done.
It's about coming to work every single day, leaving it
all on the football field and winning football games. And
I think that's what's kind of made us so successful

(26:12):
these last few years, and hopefully we can carry on
that tradition.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Good morning.

Speaker 17 (26:16):
But hey, the last year you sat at the table
of Frojegmann, remember, and you would be what good represents
to you would be at Montana's and Bradshaw table. And
how do you keep that hungry to win?

Speaker 5 (26:33):
Thank you?

Speaker 7 (26:34):
Yeah? I think more than anything.

Speaker 15 (26:36):
You see the opportunities that you get and you never
know what's gonna be your last one, and to be
able to be in the super Bowl again is always
as special. And so for me, just just being hungry
to be as great as I possibly can be, not
only for myself but for my teammates and knowing how
blessed I am. So it's been a heck of a
run and hopefully we can continue as my career goes on.

Speaker 13 (26:57):
Hey, Patrick, over here to your left.

Speaker 18 (26:59):
I don't know if you saw the clip yesterday, but
President Trump described you as a pretty good winner. I
just wonder what you think, what's about that and how
it's going to feel to play in front of him
on Sunday.

Speaker 15 (27:07):
Yeah, I mean, it's it's always cool to be able
to play in front of a sitting president, someone that
is at the top position in our country. And so
I didn't see that clip, but obviously it's cool to
hear that he's seen me play football and respects of
the game that I play.

Speaker 19 (27:25):
Hi Patrick, first off, congratulations on a great season. I've
been sent on a mission by an elementary school teacher
by the name of Mary Crippen. She's incorporated her entire
curriculum in the NFL football this year and done a
great job. The NFL community has showed a lot of
love in it. Now she has one student, okay, by
the name of Jaquen who's been rooting for the Chiefs

(27:46):
all season, but he's in an environment that may not
share those same sentiments.

Speaker 13 (27:51):
What message would you give to.

Speaker 15 (27:52):
Joaquin, Yeah, Walkee Man, I appreciate the support. Just know
that the Chiefs are rooting for you as much as
you're rooting for us. So we're gonna try to go
out there and make you proud, and we appreciate that
you're supporting us in the hostile environment.

Speaker 7 (28:03):
Sometimes. Hey, Patrick, upfront to your left.

Speaker 15 (28:08):
He was telling me how your feeling mentally as the
days get closer, and how you're able to stay level headed.
We're trying to perform your best, especially on the biggest
stage this Sunday.

Speaker 7 (28:17):
Yeah, I mean I feel pretty much the same.

Speaker 15 (28:19):
I think you stay so busy here that you don't
really realize the magnitude of the game that you're playing.
But I think it comes with the experience, knowing what
the week presents, knowing where you're gonna be at, and
then try to keep it as close as you can
to the routine that you always have. So we're excited
for the game, and we're excited to get back to
more and more higher leverage, higher level practices and get

(28:41):
and get ready to go out there and play our
best football.

Speaker 20 (28:44):
Patrick over here to this side, you guys as well
known that you guys have had tough training camps to
start the year and OTAs how have you guys been
able to maintain maybe that discipline, that hard work even
as you've won.

Speaker 15 (29:00):
It starts obviously, it starts with coach read in the
culture that he is He's built, But I think through
this entire team, you have a lot of guys that
love the process is starting it from the bottom and
having to build your way back up there. And we
understand what it takes to get to the super Bowl
and we know it's not easy, and so instead of
just trying to go out there and go through the motions,
guys know that they have to put this work in

(29:21):
and to get to this position. And so, like I said,
it starts with coach Reid and the culture that he's built.
But I think that the team has a lot of
guys that want to do what it takes to win.

Speaker 13 (29:32):
Patrick is a Texas Tech alum.

Speaker 12 (29:34):
I get this question a lot, but could you explain
to everyone what is a Texas Tech tortilla.

Speaker 15 (29:40):
Yeah, it's tradition. I think that's that's the biggest thing
is when you're on that football field and you get
the tortilla throwing out of the kickoffs or kind of
throughout the football game or after big plays, it kind
of just shows that the fans are into it and
it shows the love that the Red Raiders have for
their teams, and so tortilla it's obviously funny and something

(30:01):
that people think it's cool to see, but I think
more than anything.

Speaker 7 (30:03):
It just shows to love the of the fans.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
If you ever tried one, I have.

Speaker 7 (30:06):
Not tried one. I'm not off the field for sure.

Speaker 13 (30:11):
Patrick, you're right over here.

Speaker 17 (30:13):
Is there a game maybe that you replay in your
mind more often than other games, whether it's a loss
or a victory, That maybe a game that keeps you
up at night?

Speaker 7 (30:23):
The Super Bowl verse Tampa.

Speaker 18 (30:24):
It's pretty easy, all right, Patrick, here, at this stage
of your career, how do you define success and how
do you measure your progression?

Speaker 13 (30:35):
Is it a matter of wins and the Super Bowls?

Speaker 7 (30:38):
Not necessarily.

Speaker 15 (30:40):
I think what I've always said in my career is
that for me, success is leaving everything you have in
the football field every time you have the opportunity to.
If that's practice, that's games, OTAs, whatever it is. And
I don't want to have regrets at the end of
my career. And if I can go out there and
feel like I progress and I know that I'm putting
everything I have into football game, though, That'll be a
successful career to me.

Speaker 6 (31:03):
You know, you love He is one of the best
runners in the NFL. He's an angry runs winner, and
he joins us right now from the Green Bay Packer.

Speaker 21 (31:10):
Josh Jacob, Josh, it was good man, brother, and it's
always great to see you, what I mean, and especially
now you and I got to catch up a little
bit in Orlando and we talked about how smiling you were.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
You were so happy. Now you look so happy during
the season. How is life right now for you, Josh
Jacobs House things.

Speaker 14 (31:33):
I mean, man, life is good. You know, getting my
first season, you know, out the way with the Pack
and being able to you know, feel the guys outfield,
the team outfield of you know, city out and things
like that. It's been a good start. Obviously we didn't
you know, finish the way we wanted to, but I
think it was a good start for me.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Josh. We are so happy for the way the season win.

Speaker 5 (31:53):
Everyone that talks about Saquon and Derrick Henry going to
these new teams, You go to a new team and
had this amazing season as well and got to really
shine in the in the run at the at the end.

Speaker 7 (32:03):
There.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Look, we have an Instagram post of yours who wanted
to show this, and it's showing what you're doing here
and what you got going on with USAA and the
Marine Corps Association, Can you give us a favor and
maybe tell us about the work you're doing with those guys.

Speaker 14 (32:18):
Yeah, So I partnered with USAA and you know, the
Marine Corps Association to be able to give away you know,
Super Bowl tickets to a event Kevin Bennett. You know,
he's been stationed, he's been in the Marines for thirty
four years, He's had tours and you know IRN and
Kuwait and things like that, and man, I mean, obviously

(32:39):
he's a part of the reason we'd be able to,
you know, enjoy what we do on a day to
day basis, for women and men like himself to be
able to serve. You know, he's the real hero. And
it's definitely an honor and a great achievement for me
to be able to just sit down and pick his
brain a little bit, and you know, to be able
to be able to give him the Super Bowl tickets.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
That's really cool.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
And now he gets to go to the Super Bowl
because of you and your help. Josh Jacobs, that's awesome.
He's been a Packers fan since sixty too. I'm sure
he was thrilled to see you join the pack last season.
Over thirteen hundred rushing yards, fifteen rushing, TD's first career
receiving touchdown and not sure how that happened, and a
playoff appearance. How would you assess your first season in

(33:19):
Green Bay and the joy that you had playing this.

Speaker 7 (33:21):
Game in Wisconsin?

Speaker 13 (33:25):
Man, you know, with a young team.

Speaker 14 (33:27):
You know, it's a lot of guys on that team
that's still like Hungary and it makes it fun.

Speaker 20 (33:31):
Man.

Speaker 14 (33:31):
It makes it coming to work, you know, each day
fun being able to see guys willing to learn and
willing to put the work in and you know, win games.
I mean, I think that's what everybody plays this game
for ultimately, is to win.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
So we did a lot of that last.

Speaker 9 (33:45):
Year, okay, And you know going into the season, you
guys started off with the Eagles that first game in
Brazil and then again in the wild card round. You
put up over one hundred scrimmage yard in both games.
Game recognized game. I know you love sakwon this game.
You look at some of the other running backs, tell

(34:07):
me what is it that you see in this team?
What is it that you see in Saquon in this
Eagles team?

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (34:14):
I would say, man, Saquan is definitely the heartbeat of
the team. I mean, if if I'm Kansas City, he's
the focal point of you know, the stop. But they
also got guys you know, Smitty and aj to be
able to go out and you know, really do whatever
they want to do. But I think people are really
sleep on how good their defense actually is and camb
you know, they front seven is is really good. They

(34:37):
got some young guys in the back end that it's
not afraid to make open field tackles and things like that.
So they're playing at a they're playing at a really
high level right now.

Speaker 6 (34:46):
Never mind enough about sat Quan and Mahomes. Let's talk
about you trucking dudes. Josh, I got the shirt on
you want angry runs this year?

Speaker 2 (34:53):
You did it? You want it? I want to tell you.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
Just take us through the play Week sixteen against the Saints.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Talk about it.

Speaker 13 (35:02):
Oh yeah, man.

Speaker 14 (35:02):
I mean when I when I seen the whole, I
was actually surprised the whole was that big. And then
when I was running, I was like, Okay, it's one
guy to beat. I really didn't know who it was
at the time, but yeah, I definitely tried them though.

Speaker 7 (35:15):
For sure.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Josh, you're awesome.

Speaker 6 (35:17):
That's Alabama and ls ye. That's personal. That's a honey badge.
You threw them halfway to Madison. Dude, that's my man.
I love that stuff.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
You ain't right, man, you ain't right. Thank you so much, Josh,
you're the man. I appreciate you.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
We will continue to watch you and everything you do
us a wonderful cause. You do great stuff in the community.
You do nasty stuff on the football field.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
One of our favorites. Josh Jakins, Green Bay Packers. Thanks man,
appreciate it. Thanka appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (35:47):
Awesome man.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
