Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a Friday week fifteen edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm Marcus Grant and I'll be joined by Adam Rank
and Michael f.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Florio.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Is there any reason to worry about Baker Mayfield after
the Bucks upset loss on Thursday night? Plus the important
starts and since for this weekend and next? Jen Kin
puts his fantasy bullseye on Jackson Dart.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
How me Friday?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Everybody. Welcome to another edition of NFL Fantasy Live. I'm
Marcus Grant, That's Adam Rank, that is Michael F.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Florio. Florio.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I know you're probably to talk about this a little
bit later, but as the president of the Kyle Pitts
Fan Club, did you start them anywhere?
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Last night?
Speaker 4 (00:43):
My one team that had him was on by so unfortunately,
his best career game did me no good. But luckily
I didn't face him in any league, so that's almost
as good as having him.
Speaker 5 (00:53):
Right, I'm pushing back because Floria gave up on picks
like I'm the last survivor of the Kyle Pitch Fanclub.
As a matter of fact, my friend Clayton, who was
watching the show yesterday not out listen.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
When was I noticed it's not on your person.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
A year.
Speaker 5 (01:12):
Yes see exactly, this is what I'm talking about. My friend,
but our buddy Clayton was watching the show yesterday. He goes,
I heard you talk not to start Harold Fanning and
I'm like, yeah, but that was He's like, I'm starting
Kyle pittsnight. I know you love him, Like, all right,
good luck that worked out.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make,
or making reverse or something like that.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Either way, he's not having a Bears fan. It's like,
I mean, look, you have different reasons for not sorry
girl fan.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Absolutely anyway, that gives us to what we learned from
last night and what was a really entertaining game between
the Falcons and the Buccaneers.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
But rank, what did you take away from that?
Speaker 6 (01:44):
One?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Was Jon Robinson.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
I know that we all overreacted because he scored less
than ten Fantasy points last week and were.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Like, is he done?
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Now he's back, He's good, everybody, We don't need to
worry about this. Scoring nearly thirty Fantasy points. Depending on
your scoring, it might have been much better. He ran
the ball for ninety three yard cards had eleven targets,
which he turned it into eight receptions for eighty two yards,
very close to the yardage total I gave out on
Wednesday show.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
But I didn't hit it.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
I told Patrick, I said, if it's not the exact number,
I'm not going to take a victory. So there's no HB.
So I'm not going to take that here. But you
know what great opportunity, great player. I know a lot
of us drafted him with the first overall pick. For
those of us who are ready to get it, he's
been good like there's nothing. He's not killing your fantasy team.
But if he continues to play like this, especially as
(02:30):
a receiver out of the backfield, he could help lead
you to a championship.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
And they already mentioned Kyle Pitts.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Look, all three of us on this show loved Kyle
Pitts at one time or another.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Guys, we were not ro d at the end of that.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
For me, still love.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Twelve targets this week, eleven catches of bucks, sixty six
and three touchdowns, forty five point six fantasy points, career
highs across the board. Second tight end this season with
forty points. Now, if you ran into Kyle, you gotta
get those floor plays. Out of your lineup and swing
for the fences, because forty six fantasy points are my
tight end. Yeah, you are behind the eight ball now,
(03:08):
so swing for some upside and hope that those guys
hit well.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Sort of on the other side of this. At this point, now,
I think you gotta start your quarterbacks against the Bucks.
See now, yesterday I said in the segment about who
was gonna eat, that you could start Kirk Cousin. Now,
really I said he'd be like a QB two. Right
now he's the QB one. But I'll take the humble
brack because I don't have ranks level of integrity for
this sort of thing. Since Week ten, the Bucks giving
(03:32):
up an average of two hundred and seventy nine passing
yards per game, thirteen touchdowns quarterbacks averaging over twenty five
fantasy points in that stretch against Tampa Bay. So FYI,
if you were in the market and your playoffs two
stream quarterbacks. The next two weeks, it's the Panthers and
the Dolphins. So Bryce Young Tou Toungua Baioloa possibly in
play for fantasy managers going forward.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
I will tell you that I put I put Kirk
Cousins into a starting position in a super flex league,
and then I realized I had a.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Cool I raised all those points. Yeah, the one.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
League I have him been in a super flex I
didn't make the playoffs, so it didn't really even matter anyway.
Last night, though, we did see the Bucks offense at
full string all four of their wide receivers. Mike Evans
was back, Jalen McMillan was back to go, along with
a Mecca Abuka and Chris Godwin. So Florida, as we're
looking at this thing going forward, Baker Mayfield hasn't been great.
(04:25):
How are we feeling about the Buccaneers wide receivers with
all four of these guys getting targets?
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Now, Yeah, Mike Evans is back to being a mustard option.
Even last night, like the reports weren't wrong, he was limited,
he only played half the snaps, still had a team
high twelve targets, and in every game that he has
finished this year, he has had at least eight. Chris Godwin, though,
did lead them in routes and snaps while Abuka was
second in targets. To me, the uncertain usage here plus
(04:53):
with you like what you said with Baker Mayfield kind
of struggling a bit as of late. It makes them
more option dependent wide receiver threes or lex plays. But
next week they do have a tough matchup against the Panthers.
It always depends on who else you have. But they're
no longer.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
The must start guys that they once were earlier in
the season.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, so you know, great if you started Mike Evans,
I will tell you that I was a little bit nervous.
I don't have him anywhere, but I would have been nervous.
But it worked out for you if you if you
did that as well.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I sat him in the league unfortunately.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Oh I benched a Mecca Abuca for him. Oh very good.
That wasn't this show. That's because we answered that question
on this I was. I was dead. I had to
do it. I had to write out a whole list
and did a thing.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
And it is one of those things like when it hits,
it hits, but when it goes bad, it is really
really bad, so bad.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
All right, let's start our ten though to the rest
of the week fifteen slate. We'll get started with a
huge game in the AFC East between the Buffalo Bills
and the New England Patriots, and Florio.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Is there a Buffalo Bills pass catcher that maybe we
can pay attention to this week?
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yeah, I think Dalton Kincaid is isn't tight end that
you should one hundred percent be playing this week. He's
been the Bills' most efficient pass catcher this season. He's
also been just one of the most efficient tight ends
this season, and last week was a good matchup. But
I do think the Bills found something in the last
couple of weeks featuring the tight ends more in the
(06:15):
passing game. And the Bills have changed their wide receiver
personnel and now they have Shavers and Gave Davis outside.
They're both excellent run blockers and they are help creating
more space after the catch for their catch and run options,
which our Shakir and Dalton Kinkaid plus Patriots top ten
and fantasy points per game to tight ends.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
I think this could be a very high scoring.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Back and forth kind of game, and I want Dalton
Kinkaid in my lineups where I have them.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
You know, as the president and CEO of the Josh
Allen Fan Club on this show, it pains me to
say that I'm going to be starting Drake May and
this that doesn't pay me. I'm just starting a really
good quarterback. He's had nine games with at least two
touchdown passes this season, leads the NFL in passer rating.
He's the only player with two hundred passing arriagent each
of the team's games this season. Of course, he's never
(07:02):
thrown for three hundred yards in a fixture yet in
his NFL career, but this could be the day. And
the Bills have allowed the tenth most rushing yards to
quarterbacks this season. That has been a aspect of Drake
May's game that people really have overlooked and it's really
been in effective.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Use for him.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
So it goes without saying, you're starting Drake May this
weekend fixture.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Are you going to say the Bills are also the
or the Patriots at the top of the table too.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
I was trying to see how long it would take
me to inception you guys into using terms like fixture
and pitch and out to touch, and today's the day.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
It hit no, because like Laquon does this all the
time on the podcast. You listen to the NFL Fantasy
Football podcast, we get a lot of it. It just
washes over me. At this point Anyway.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Anytime I hear besmirch, I think of you ring.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Oh, thank you very much. There it is I feel
besmirched by you saying thank you.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Another divisional matchup, it's the Chargers and the Chiefs, and
I'm gonna go a little back to the future on
this one and say that Quentin Johnston has some sleepery vibes.
And I know it hasn't been great him in the
back half of the season, but if we go back
to Week one when these teams played, Johnston five catches,
seventy nine yards, a pair of touchdowns, almost twenty five
(08:09):
fantasy points. In fact, he's been pretty good against Kansas
City in two of his last three games, fifteen or
more fantasy points against the Chiefs. Kansas City the last
few weeks second most yards allowed to wide receivers. They're
not getting much pressure without blitzing the quarterback, and Herbert
against the blitz has been pretty good top ten in
terms of passing yards there, and when he's getting pressure,
(08:29):
he tends to be looking in Qj's direction. So it's
definitely a deep sleeper proposition because of how he's played,
but maybe a wide receiver three there for QJ.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
This week.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Now, I'm gonna go back to the past and say
Kareem Hunt is a sleeper in this game as well,
because the Chargers secondary has just been shut down all season.
But this defense is leaky against the run. They've struggled
against big plays. They've allowed these seventh most yards per
carry this season. And don't look now, but Kareem Hunt
(08:58):
eighty or more scrimmage in two of his last three games.
And then he's always a has a good chance of
scoring a touchdown because right now he's fifth in goal
line carries in the NFL. And I know this is
going to annoy you guys, but not surprise you at all.
I've never seen back to the future.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Not even I you know what, whatever whatever. At this point, well,
we'll stay in the AMC West. We got the Packers
and the Broncos Brett.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Farv John Wait no, no, not that, not that. But
right apparently the Packers have found a wide receiver.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
What it looks like they have, Christian Watson has been
playing very well over the last couple of weeks. And
I think for those of you who are looking for
somebody and this one if you're looking for the Packers
player to start. It is Christian Watson. He's had five
touchdowns in his last four games. He's had at least
eighty receiving yards in back to back games. And you
know what right here, and you put a lot of
(09:48):
man like he was really able to take advantage of
the man coverage by the Bears last week. It is
something that he really feasts on. Jordan Love does a
really nice job of it too, and the Denver Broncos
run a lot of man. The only difference is Denver
does a much better job at putting pressure on the
quarterback with four rushers than the Bears do, so there
could be a chance for some turnovers.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
But you know what, given the volume play, I think
that Christian Watson probably isn't start.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
I mean, he's done a little bit of everything in
that offense. Meanwhile, on the other side, RJ. Harvey, the
breakout has been fun. I'm telling you to just be
a little bit wary because he has been very touchdown
dependent this year. The seventy five rushing yards last week
was great, but it was just the second time he's
gone over fifty rushing yards in a game. Only four
running backs have gone over seventy yards in a game
against the Packers will help the recent increase in targets.
(10:36):
You love to see that, but it's also not a
big play passing option there. I mean, just has not
gotten a lot of yards targets. The catches will help,
So I understand starting him, but I'm concerned about what
his output might be potentially coming up this weekend. Moving
over to another divisional game, I should say it is
the Ravens and the Bengals, And normally we're starting tight
(10:58):
ends against the Bengals Florida, but you're starting a Bengals
tight end.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Yeah, I think Koseki is in play.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
But also let's get a little weird in this one, right,
I think with t Higgins being out this week, Mitchell
Tinsley is a sleeper for the Bengals because I know
a lot of people are gonna be like Yoshibas is
the guy, right, But I think it's Mitchell Tinsley because
I believe he is better suited to play that X
receiver routes that t Higgins normally runs. And we saw
(11:28):
that in this exact matchup two weeks ago, when Tinsley
had nine targets against this Ravens defense. I know it
didn't lead to a huge fantasy day, but him and
Burrow just missed on a couple of big plays. And
if you need evidence of what this guy could do,
just go watch his game against.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
The Commanders from the preseason. He will look like a T.
Higgins clone if you just cover up the numbers and
watch the film.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
Well, I'm gonna go with the Baltimore Ravens tight ends,
whether it's Mark Andrews, whether it's Isaiah Likely Now obviously
Mark Andrews is popped up on the injury reports, So
this is something that you're going to be able to
that you're going to need to.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Monitor throughout the weekend.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
But either way, I actually you could probably play get
away with playing both of these guys this weekend. They
will get their opportunities against a Bengals defense that has
allowed fifteen receiving touchdowns to tight ends this year.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
That's the most by six a lot.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
But as they have the floor here for a moment,
there's there's some students who've walked in here. Don't say
it out loud, but by a show of hands, have
any of you seen the movie Back to the Future,
Show of hands?
Speaker 1 (12:32):
All of them, all, all of them.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
It's not.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
A generation thing at all.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
It is.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Not having taste in music thing. All of these students
just raise their hands right to the camera just way
way way. They literally all raised there.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
You're gonna need to sign a release. Maybe I just had.
I was just here. I didn't know, like listen the Youth.
I don't know. Sometimes it's like that scene from the
Office the Youth. He's like, thirty five, what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Thirty four?
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Oh my bad? Whatever.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
And when Philip Rivers attempting a comeback at age forty four,
Tom Brady has some thoughts, saying, quote, I certainly could
still play quarterback in the NFL at age forty eight.
You don't do it, you know it'll be wild, right
is if he was part owner of a team that
had quarterback at right could you imagine be the bridge quarterback?
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Be wild?
Speaker 2 (13:26):
If there it is anyway movie, it would be a
movie anyway, Speaking of the one that you wouldn't see.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
The Colts in Seattle taking on the Seahawks, and right now,
Shane Steichen uncommitted to a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
At least publicly. I think we all sort of know
where they're leaning.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
But I will say I still think you can start
Tyler Warren this week against the Seahawks. Now, this is
mostly about the matchup, because for as good as Seattle
has been, they have been pretty bad against tight ends.
They're the second best matchup against the position. Now, mind you,
the very distant second, because the Bengals have just been
straight up awful against tight ends. But they're giving up
the second most receptions and yards to the position. For
(14:06):
what it's worth, if Riley Leonard is the starter, Warren
is his second most targeted player behind Michael Pittman. But
either way, regardless of who's going to be under center,
I'm starting Tyler Warren this week.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
What if it's Tyler Warren at quarterbacks? Even better? That
would be rad.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
Speaking of quarterbacks, I'm gonna go with the guy that
you turned your back on so coldly, Sam Darnald, you
besmirched it it now just kidding, you know what He's Listen.
A couple of weeks ago didn't have great fantasy performances.
As the Seahawks continue to stack wins, last week, we
started to see the fantasy version that a lot of
us had hoped for when we drafted him this summer.
(14:44):
Now he's got a really good matchup against the Colts,
who've allowed the second most passing yards per game. In
the last three weeks, they've allowed at least seventeen fantasy
points to quarterbacks and two of the last three and
I expect Sam Darnold to reach.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
That number this week.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Big one coming up here in Los Angeles this week,
the Detroit Lions coming to town to take on the
Los Angeles Rams, and Rank.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
You're going out on a limb with your QB start
for this one.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
You know what, No somebody asked on the show yesterday
or somebody somebody was asking me about Matthew Stafford, like,
are we not to the point that we know we're
just starting Matthew Stafford week in and week out? And
I understand like some people might have ended up with
a situation where you had, like Drake mat I think
this was the exact question, Like Drake may Matthew Stafford.
I'm like, you got to you gotta just stick with
(15:31):
one because it'll drive you crazy to try to ping
pong back and forth and play the matchups because the
science behind it is always you can always make a
case for either guy. But I love him going up
against the Lions. Obviously it's a revenge game. But Matthew
Stafford has at least two touchdowns and seven consecutive games
thirty five passing touchdowns this season, nine more than the
(15:53):
next closest receiver. And we've seen a lot of this too.
Is that when the Rams are ahead and they're inside
the five yard line, not only are they throwing the ball,
they're usually throwing it to Devonte Adams. So yes, get
Matthew Stafford into your lineup this week.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
Hey lakwan, if you're listening, Rank said Stafford. Patsy is
that it's not me. I think on the other side,
Jared Goff is in play in this one as well, because,
just like Rank was saying, I expect a lot of
points in this one. In fact, the Lions could be
chasing points. And regardless, I expect them to be very,
very aggressive in this one. And while the Rams have
(16:28):
been elite against the run and early in the year,
we're a tough matchup. Since Week ten, they have allowed
the fourth most passing yards and touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
And I know some of you out there might be like,
but it's a road game for Jared.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Yeah, it's still indoors and it's a building he knows extremely.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
I think Jared Gobson, it's a canopy.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Mike, we've taken that tour. If you listen, and I
know there's a bunch of there's a new group of
students here. When you go next door. Do not tell
the people at so Far that it's a dome stadium
because they will get on your case.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
It's a canopy. Don't dumb Michael's mistake. Those stadiums don't
have lightning delays. That's all I thing. We're gonna stay
in the NFC West.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
We're gonna talk to Cardinals heading down to Houston to
take on the Texans and look Floyda. Michael Wilson's been
a new hotness the last few weeks. So honestly, we're
just starting him against Houston, right.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Yeah, thirty one fantasy points per game when Marvin Harrison
Junior's out and he's out this week.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
But I still think you.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Could try to get away from Michael because I just
fear the Texans defense that much. They've allowed the fewest
fantasy points per game two wide receivers.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Last week.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
They held Rachid Rice in check and in fact, fifty
two percent of passes too out wide. Wide receivers have
been completed against them this year. Wilson runs his routes
out wide when Marv is out. But with a big
name like this, it's always option dependent, right, You're not
just sitting him for anybody, But I would sit him
for like McLaurin, Wandel Robinson, Juwan Jennings and Justin Jefferson,
(17:53):
which oddly I have to say him here, But yeah,
not just sitting him for anybody.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
All right, Well, I'm gonna go with Dalton Schultz on
the other side against the Arizona Cardinals. Some of it
is because he's running routes from the slot where the
Cardinals are struggling.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
To cover guys.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Also because he's a tight end and the Cardinals struggle
to cover those as well. The last few weeks, this
has been a pretty narrowly funneled passing game. It's mostly
been Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz, with a little bit
of Jaden Higgins sprinkled in just for effect.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
So I think this is a game that CJ. Stroud
actually pops for the first time in a while.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
I think Dalton Schultz is gonna be a big part
of that. So if you are looking to throw a
tight end in the mix, how would you say streaming?
Because at this point, Dalton Schultz is, you know, low
key a tight end one. I think he's worth having
in your lineup this week against Arizona.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
I will stay with.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Another NFC team, another divisional matchup, this between the Commanders
and the New York Football Giants and well Flora mintioned
Terry mcloy So I guess we're all on board right
with Scary Terry this week.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
I don't think I don't think it matters here.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
The quarterback is obviously Marcus Mariota is going to be
starting in Mariota, but Terry McLaurin has two receiving touchdowns
in the last three games. He's tied for the fifth
most target in the NFL since he returned from his
injury in Week thirteen. And what we love too great
matchup against the New York GIANTSDA have allowed the fourth
most receiving yards to wide receivers this season, so I
(19:11):
would expect Terry McLaury to have a pretty good game
against those Giants.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I also think.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Tyrone Tracy can have a pretty good game against the
Commanders since Cam Skataboo went down for the season. Tracy's
had almost fifty percent of the team's rushing attempts, had
over twenty touches in weeks eleven and twelve, and seemed
to be on a similar path in week thirteen before
he had a hip injury. He's had the bye week
to get healthy and ready to go. Now he gets
to face Washington's twenty ninth ranked run defense. I have
(19:38):
allowed a top twenty four running back in four straight games.
So if nothing else, Tracy's floor right now is an
RB two with the chance to maybe do a little
bit better if he could find the end zone during
the ball game.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
So there you go, Commanders and the Giants.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
That gets us to our next Jim Nuggets with our
researcher Kendall Mursky aka next Gen Kin. So we were
just talking about the the Commanders and the Giants, but
you took a little bit of a deeper look at
that NFC East matchup.
Speaker 6 (20:05):
Yeah, I want to focus on Jackson Dart And it's
funny you guys talked on both sides of the ball
in this game, and it's really a big reason why
I like Jackson Dart. We have two competent offenses going
against two struggling defenses. This feels like a game that's
going to be a race to thirty, kind of like
what we just saw last night. But a big reason
is because of play action passing. Dart has the tenth
highest play action drop back rate this season, but look
(20:28):
at how Washington has defended those dropbacks. They're in the
bottom quarter of the league in each of these five categories.
But the one that really pops out to me is
quarterback pressure rate, as they've been really unaffective at affecting
the quarterback process this season. But what's even more shocking
is the amount of explosive plays that they've let up.
The Commanders have allowed a fifteen plus yard completion on
(20:49):
twenty five point six percent of play action pass attempts
that they've defended this season, and that's the second highest
rate in the NFL. But beyond just the play action stats,
the Commanders have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to
the position this season. And we've seen Jackson Dart has
proved to us this year he's a high floor play.
His lowest output was fifteen points and he's averaging somewhere
around twenty one ish points per game. So I think
(21:13):
with a combination of all of these factors, we're gonna
see a high ceiling performance from Jackson Dart this week.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Styles make fights. Both these teams have bad defenses. There
could be a lot of Fantasy points in playing this one.
So a great job Kendill. Appreciate that. Meanwhile, coming up
here on NFL Fantasy Live, it's a Sunday night showdown
between the Vikings and Cowboys in Big D. But it
is jj an automatic play for fantasy owners across the country.
That's surprise answer and more when we return back to

Time to get you caught up on what you need
to know and if you know, you know.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
And we will start in the NFC where NFL Network
insider Tom Pellisero is reporting that CD Lamb has cleared
concussion protocol and we'll be on the field this Sunday
night against the Vikings. Star wide receiver suffered the head
injury last Thursday against the Detroit Lions, which opened the
door for whiteout Ryan Flinoy to have a major breakout.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
So Ran, now that CD is back in action, what
are you doing if you.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
Spend some fab on Flinoy this week leaving them on
the bench, Like it's the best case scenario. I would
rather play CD Lamb. That's the guy that I prefer
to play. I did pick him up as a backup option.
That's that's what we do. Like at this time of
the season. This is what we're not trying to find
flyers on players or anything. We want to back up
the studs that we're playing in right now. It might
(22:58):
be Mike Behoovia to go through and look and see,
you know, if you have if you have CMC for instance,
you have Brian Robinson Junior or something like that, you
want to make sure that your your your studs are
handcuffed to the appropriate replacement. If Flornois is not going
to be the guy that they're counting on, fine, I
will I will eat the three dollars.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Fine, I'm good. I think, especially if you have.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
The first round by two in your playoffs, make sure
you have that just in case something happens, so you're
not scrambling on Monday or Tuesday to add somebody off
the waiver wire. Back to the game previews, we got
the Jags and the Jets down in.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Are the original Duval? Or can we do the Duval?
Speaker 5 (23:34):
You know, I like Liam Cohen's original Duval. I think
that's something that they should lean into. But you know,
well that's good. One thing that I wouldn't lean into.
Tony con.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Starting Brice Hall. I would tell you to beware of
starting Breecee Hall this week. And look, Breese, it's it's
not you, it's sort of the company you keep. I mean,
Garrett Wilson, we haven't seen him in a few weeks.
We haven't seen Justin Fields in a bit to Rod
Taylor's now gonna start. It's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Brady Cook at quarterback.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
And if I am the Jacksonville Jaguars, I am taking
away breeze haall as much as possible and trying to
make the quarterback beat me. Shouldn't be too difficult because
the Jags do have one of the top run defenses
in the NFL. They've allowed one hundred rushing yards in
a game total by a team just three times all
season long. So you might be forced to starting Breeze Hall.
(24:24):
You don't have to like starting Breeze Hall.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
Now, that's exactly the position I am in in a
league myself, but you one hundred percent have to start
the Jags defense. Look, the Jets did, for some reason,
did not go out and recruit Chad Pennington to start
for them in a pinch this week, So it's gonna
be Brady Cook, like Marcus said, and last week with
Cook six sacks two picks by the Jets. Sacks have
(24:47):
been an issue for the Jets all year long. They've
taken him at the third highest rate regardless of who
the quarterback has been.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
It has been an issue.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
But now the Jags actually get a week to game
plan for Brady Cook, and the Jags defense has been
a lot better since they buy and lead against the run.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
They've been getting after the quarterback at a very high rate.
They already must play for me this week.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
All right over to the Sunday night matchup between the
Vikings and the Cowboys and rank there are two wolves
inside of George Pickens, and apparently both of them are
reading this year and they are well the cool thing obviously,
we know now to start Ceedee Lamb and Floroy is.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Going to go to the bench, but also start George
Pickens in a game that I anticipate being very high scoring.
I understand a lot of us were stung last Thursday
when he did not have his best game of the season,
but he has four games this season with at least
twenty nine plus fantasy points. Minnesota has allowed the fifth
most yards to targets to wide receivers this year. I
(25:44):
know that they're a good defense. Brian Flores is one
of the best in the game, but so is Dak Prescott.
So I really trust this Cowboys offense, and I think
with having Ceedee Lamb out there, it's going to bring
a level of calmness and it's going to open up
some opportunities for George Pickens.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
So I'm starting them.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
I've got a sleeper tag on one JJ nine McCarthy,
and I know that seems a little bit weird because
it hasn't necessarily been a great season for him, although
last week did have the three touchdown passes against Washington.
Florio pointed out on Monday's podcast that McCarthy's worst games
have come against either some of the top rated elite
defenses in the league or defenses he was facing for.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
A second time.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
The Dallas Cowboys are neither one of those, and over
the last three weeks, Cowboys given up over two hundred
and eighty passing yards per game, six touchdowns, no interception.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
So understand, I get it.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
The ceiling for McCarthy is relatively low, but because the
Cowboys have been so much better against the run lately,
it could be an opportunity for McCarthy to get things going.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
Through the air.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
So that now gets us to seize the season presented
by Caesars Sports Book And according to caesar Sports Book,
here are the most likely players to score the first
touchdown during Sunday Night showdown between the Vikings and the Cowboys.
Davonte Williams They're up top, followed by George Pickens, and
you got Aaron Jones, Justin Jefferson, and Jordan Mason. So Florio,
(27:03):
of those folks there or maybe somebody not pictured, who
do you think finds PAYDRT first look I.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Like George Pickens. I agree with everything Rank was just saying.
But if you want some better.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Odds and maybe a little bit of fun, how about
Justin Jefferson, Because, like you were saying, Marcus, the Cowboys
have struggled against the past, they have been lit up
this year by wide receivers allow the most Fantasy points, yards,
and touchdowns two receivers, specifically the most to out wide
wide receivers and on the deep ball. So whether it
comes after a long drive to open the game or
(27:36):
just on one big catch, I think Justin Jefferson has
his best game of the season this week, and he
finds pay dirt for from JJ for the Minnesota Bike.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
From JJ to JJ, you gotta love it.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
New users can bet one dollar to boost their next

Speaker 2 (27:58):
All right, Dash, you.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
Do say, will be making a start at Chicago this weekend.
Welcome back to NFL Fantasy Live. Michael Eflorio along with
Adam Rank. That's me and I will be at the
game this weekend and I will be keeping an eye
on Kyle Mnung guy, who has really emerged as one
of the go to running backs for the Bears, twelve
plus touches in four consecutive games. Chicago is rushed at
the fifth highest rate this season, close to fifty percent.
(28:21):
And they're going up against the Brown seam, which has
a lot of great athletes on that defensive line, but
have been very vulnerable to opposing running backs this past
couple of weeks. And speaking of running backs, the Raiders
are traveling to Philadelphia this weekend.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
What's the word on Ashton Genty?
Speaker 4 (28:37):
Yeah, I think you could start Ashton gent And I
know some people out there might be like, yeah, I
start them every week. They wanted me to talk about
a Raider, right, There's not many to talk about, but
Aston Genty has been highly reliable and what I really like,
He's averaged seven targets per game in the last month,
and in that span, the Eagles have allowed these second
(28:58):
most rushing yards and receiving yards two running backs.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
So if he's getting all that pass game volume, he
could eat and picket historically.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
Has targeted his running backs at a higher rate than
Gino Smith, So I think the target chare keeps Ashen
genty has a safe play despite what might look like
a tough matchup on paper.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
The Bears and the Eagles are in the middle of
that NFC playoff race. In addition, also the San Francisco
forty nine Ers, who will be playing host to the
Tennessee Titans this weekend. It's been troubling trying to figure
out which pass catcher to start for the forty nine ers.
How do we feel about Juwan Jennings.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
I like him this week.
Speaker 4 (29:35):
I'm playing him in a number of leagues myself because
in four of his last five games he's been a
safe floor option with a touchdown and over thirteen Fantasy points.
And in that span, half of the end zone targets
for the forty nine Ers have gone his way and
he's just one target behind George Kittle for leading the
team in that span. Meanwhile, Titans are top six and
(29:57):
passing yards and touchdowns since Week six. If party's thrown
good things for Jennings.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
You know, if the playoffs started today, the Carolina Panthers
would be the representative of the NFC South, and the
Panthers are now on the road to face the New
Orleans Saints, who will be without Alvin Kamara this week.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
What does that mean for Devin Neil?
Speaker 4 (30:16):
I think he remains in play as a sleeper. We've
seen recently that he brings a safe floor. He scored
over fifteen fantasy points last week, something Kamara has done
just once all season, and in his last two games
seventeen or more opportunities. The week prior to that, yet
seven targets, and the Panthers they're back to struggling against
the run, fourth most fantasy points per game to running backs.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
In the last month. So Neil is a sleeper for
those diving a little deeper.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
All right, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
So much, Michael, And of course both of us walked
out of our drafts this season thinking that we absolutely
killed it. But of course things change. And here to
talk about that is Marcus Grant with a minute with Marcus.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Thank you, Adam. It's right.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Welcome to the mad that is the Fantasy Playoffs. It
began on Thursday night with the absolute cinema of Kirk
Cousins and Kyle Pitts channeling the past magic of Matt
Ryan and Julio Jones.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
So what wonders might await us over this weekend?
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Could Deebo Samuel Muster another bully ball performance against the
Giants defense that surrendered twenty two points to him in
Week one.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Might c J.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Stroud have multiple passing touchdowns in a game for the
first time since Week eight? Certainly could against a Cardinals
defense that's allowed ten scoring strikes in its last four games.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
What about a defense, after all, they do win championships.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Maybe the much maligned Cowboys can wrangle you a win
against the Vikings. Our Dallas is eleven greater than Minnesota's nine. Look,
your roster in December was never gonna look the way
it did in August. But you know what, It's better
to win ugly than lose pretty. And remember that whatever
decisions you make with your lineup this week, you're worried
(32:01):
about fantasy points and not style points, because when the
dust settles and the counting's all done, they won't ask how,
they'll ask how many. And this has been another minute
with Marcus. Now it's time to lock it up as
we take it to the rank. Oh, thank you so much, Marcus,
Thank you checking b are you ready to go?
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Take it to the rank? Has been on a roll.
Speaker 5 (32:24):
Reasoning last week we finally finally did not get a
guy who got into the end zone.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
That's okay. We're gonna make up for it right here,
right now.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
We're gonna start with the Philadelphia Eagles, a team that
has been struggling over the last couple of weeks. What
happened Philadelphia? What happened to the Alliance ever since they
played the bat?
Speaker 2 (32:38):
I know they were losing before they played the Bears,
but still have not been able to recover.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
Last week was kind of a bummer playing right here
at so Far Stadium. But now you got the Las
Vegas Raiders. This should be an opportunity for AJ Brown.
Remember when AJ Brown was crying when the Eagles were
winning and he wasn't getting the ball up. Then he
started getting the ball enough they were losing and then
like no, that's fine, Like how about can you do
them both? Can we do the best of both worlds?
I think it happens this week in a great match
(33:03):
up against the Raiders, who allowed the second most receptions
to wide receivers this season, which is why I say
Aj Brown will have more than four and a half
receptions this week and jecke Bee you can take it
to the ring. Oh that's getting out all right, let's
go down to our friends in dudet This. At the
(33:24):
beginning of the show, when Liam Cohen did the opening
press conference, I did the Duvall thing. It was the
most auspicious start in the South since the Shockmaster in
WCW back in the day.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Sting was there for both of them. But here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (33:38):
Liam Cohen has actually worked himself into the conversation as
coach of the year. We see right now the Jags
at the top of the table in the AFC South.
Trevor Lawrence has been playing at an incredible clip. He
looks like the quarterback that we thought he was going
to be when he came out of Clemson.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
We've been waiting for this. We now see it.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
He's got a great matchup this week against the New
York Jets. Trevor Lawrence has done a really nice job
of protecting the football. Now he's going up against a
Jets team that is not recorded in interception. Is this right, Kendall,
They've not recorded no interceptions this season.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
You're not messing with me. This is the true thing, right.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
This is gonna be on you if this does not work,
Blaine Kendall.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
But here's my thing.
Speaker 5 (34:20):
Trevor Lawrence goes out there, has another great game, does
not throw an interception.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
And guess what, you can take it to the right right.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
Oh sorry, Jeff, Hey, Jeff, did I give you your
badge back by the way?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Okay, let's go to I don't know. I don't want
to forget. I don't want to drive halfway home be like,
oh I got Jeff's badge. Still, let's go to Arizona.
Jacoby Brissett. We talked about this.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
I think we talked about this on the show yesterday
when we were talking about streaming quarterbacks. Quarterbacks that you
can play in a pitch. Jacoby Brissette is now just
one of those quarterbacks. We start, we just start him.
What did you say, forsett it and first set it
and forget there It is okay, yeah, Like he is
just a starting quarterback. So we're not gonna sit here.
We're not gonna go through the theatrics. We're not going
to debate whether we started or we sit him. One
of the things that we love about him is the
(35:01):
fact that when the Cardinals get into a negative game script,
which seems to be every single week, Jacoby Brissette is
throwing the football.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
He has had at least forty pass attempts in five
consecutive games.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
So this week, when you're looking at it and you're like, okay,
I think I know he will have more than thirty
eight point five passes this week. And guess what you
can take on the rank right, Oh, that's drifting on me. Sorry,
Chunky B I cannot get it there. And finally, again,
our touchdown streak ended because Brenton Strange, Breton Strange, he
(35:35):
was there.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
It was gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
What about a mon Ross Saint Brown, who has been
one of the most prolific wide receivers this season. He's
going to be right here outside these walls playing against
the La Rams.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
It's a revenge game for Jared Goff.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
Expect this to be one of the higher scoring fixtures
on the weekend, and we're looking for somebody who's.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Going to get into the end zone.
Speaker 5 (35:55):
And I'm going to go with a mon Ross Saint Brown,
who has nine receiving touchdowns this season and that's side
for the second most in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
He has the highest red zone share in the league.
Speaker 5 (36:04):
So I say that at any point during this game,
a Monro Saint Brown will score a touchdown and jugging Bee. Yes,
you can take it to the rank, or how about
take this one to the rank? There it is there,
It is all right, Marcus, get us out of here,
all right now, I'm.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Gonna walk, so follow me. Fantasy fuego. These are the
hottest guys from Week fourteen. Michael Wilson, Tony Pollard put
together a huge game. Kind I don't know where JJ
McCarthy had the three touchdown passes, Jamison Williams picked things up,
and Rashid Shaheed finally making an impact for the Seahawks offense,
not not just special teams as well. But that gets
(36:42):
us to our weekly moment of zen. It is time
to go with the flow, with our own Shirpa of
the Sleepers, the one and only Michael f.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Florio. What do you have for us, sir?
Speaker 4 (36:54):
Oh hey, look, guys, I'm back from the future, right
Like that's what this movie is about.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
But hippies, I can tell you one thing.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
We're all about having fun, and you know what to
ensure you have some fun this weekend, Jamison Williams that is.
And look, I'm totally stoked for this game. Too far
out offenses means there should be a lot of points scored.
And you want a groovy stat, Williams has averaged eighty
nine yards per game in eighteen Fantasy points per game
(37:22):
since that totally mellow cat Dan Campbell started calling plays,
and the Rams they've struggled against the past as of well,
so just trust me, I wouldn't steer you wrong. Go
buy that lava lamp, start Jamison Williams.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
And just go with the flow. But you know what's
gonna really make.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
You need some of that Jamison Williams This week the
QB landscape, so many good quarterbacks have just totally bummer matchups.
But my guy, Marcus Mariota has a totally out of
site matchup against the Giants. And I know he wasn't
on our board, but he did go off in week
thirteen so that he gets the Giants who've allowed the
(38:02):
second most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, but they
are in the top five in rushing yards and touchdowns
allowed to quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
So yeah, sure he went all Hermione Granger on us
last week.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
It's Mariota, not Mariota, but he brings a very safe
floor as a starting quarterback, so if.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
You need a streamer, go grab Marcus Mariota and just
go with the flow.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Go with the flow.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Thank you so much, Michael f Florio. And when we continue,
we're gonna flow into the final segment we look into
our crystal balls and tell you the future and answer
some of your questions.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Flow on back, We'll turn.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Get ready for kickoff with Rich Eisen and the crew.
Philip Rivers is back after five years of retirement. Kimmy
check sits down with Jackson Smith and Jig But to
talk about his connection with Sam Darnold. Plus I have
interviews with Miles Garrett and Bear's rookie running back Kyle Manungai.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
All that and more.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Sunday at nine am Eastern, got some breaking news here
on NFL Network. One of our Prize staff members, Brian
Vya Thereris, took a big stage in his life and
made his beautiful fiance, Anastasia, the one Dot one of
his Dynasty Life League did it down in Crystal Cove.
So congratulations to the beautiful couple. Also, Brian a big
forty nine Ers fan, so hopefully his favorite team and
(39:27):
mine can make it a great celebration by making it
not only gotta go win this week, but hopefully making
it to the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
All right.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Time now for a little bit of power to the people.
We asked you at home to send us your questions
via social media website dot com. We'll do our best
to answer as medium as we can over the next
couple of minutes or so.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
So we'll get this one rolling Florio. This one for
you is Jordan Addison startable with a great matchup.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
He's not like a Muss start, But if you face
Kyle Pittson, you need like a home run hitting shot.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
That's where he comes into play. High ceiling, low floor.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
All right, this one for you, rank goff against the
Rams or party against the Titans, who.
Speaker 5 (40:09):
Yesterday I was talking a lot about Purty. So I'm
gonna go like Gough. Now I'm gonna go.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
Party, Are you sure?
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:19):
All right, because Gibbs is gonna run in some touch.
All Right, there you go, Flex.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
Keenan, Allen, Quintin Johnston, BTJ or Devin Neil. I know
I talked to Quentin Johnston earlier. He is questionable.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
By the way.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
For the week, I'm actually gonna go Brian Thomas Junior
because the Jets defense without Quinn Williams and Sauce Gard
is a different animal and might not be a ton
of targets. But I think some chunk plays are coming
for Brian Thomas this week. Back to you, Florio, Nico
Collins versus Michael Wilson.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
Who do I start Nico Collins?
Speaker 4 (40:47):
Like Michael Wilson gets the Texans and Nico's been eating
regardless of who the quarterback has been.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
All Right, there you go, Rank, halftime pep talk with
my squad? Do I go Vince Lombardi or more McConaughey
from we are Marshall.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
McConaughey. McConaughey, dun't buzz me. It's McConaughey.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Alright, alright, alright there it is all right time as
we wrappings up for Monday's headlines today, as we peek
into our crystal ball.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
So, uh, Florio, what is your headline for the weekend?
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Jefferson moving on up in Dallas. I think he has
his best Fantasy game of the season this weekend.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
All right, Rank, what you got the Jeffersons you've seen?
But not back to the future?
Speaker 7 (41:28):
All right, hey, may day Atria reclaim AFC East Drake
May throws for three hundred yards for the first time
in his NFL career, Stefan Diggs feels really good about it,
and Travion Henderson scores as a big hitler.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
That's a big, long headline. I don't think it all
fits on one typeface.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Thanks for tuning into the Fantasy Live edition of the
Fantasy Football podcast me Floria on lqill be back in
your feet on Monday. Wow, think
Speaker 4 (42:02):
Want to stop
