Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, Happy Friday, everybody. Welcome to another edition of NFL
Fantasy Live. I'm Marcus Grant. That's Michael f. Floyo. That
is Adam Rank. This is weird on Fridays. You're just
supposed to be a disembodied head in a box, Like
what's happening right now? I get to be a three
(00:22):
D person, and right now is the head in the
box today. I don't know what's going on. No, it's great.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
My daughter's got a holiday Christmas party this morning, so
I'm gonna get out there and be able to hang out.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
So it's good. It's working out. Oh well, I'm glad
to still be back with both of you on a
Friday here, even if you know it's sort of swap
places at this point. A huge game last night in
the Pacific Northwest between the Rams and the Seahawks. An
instant classic, and we got a whole lot of excitement
from the Seahawks locker room. Check it out. Here comes
(00:54):
their best two point play. Darnald throws god but the
two points. Eric Sobert, what a game.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
What a group, man, What a freaking football team you
guys are.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
What a football team, man, That's what we do man,
we are in the.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Playoffs were One thing we learned from last night is
that the NFC West and the one seed in the
NFC in general is far from a settled matter. But
beyond that, Floria, what did you learn from yesterday?
Speaker 4 (01:29):
So look, I think the fantasy MVP is Trey McBride
and I don't think it's close. But for real life,
everyone declared it over yesterday and I don't agree. Look,
Stafford is the favorite, but the last time a quarterback
was a non two seed and one the MVP was
in two thousand and eight with Peyton Manning.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
And look, you.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Could tell me that Stafford is putting up numbers. I know,
but the Rams have the best play caller, a top
one two punch. His running backs are doing more than
the other run MVP candidate running backs. His on line
is playing the one of the best in football, second
lowest pressure, and they're the five seed.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
And so, like Drake, May is a top two seed.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Right now, you want to talk about stats, Alan had
more total yards in the same number of total touchdowns
coming into.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Today, and they each have an island.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Get right, May gets the Ravens On Sunday Night football,
Alan gets the Eagles next week as the only afternoon
game that you're going to be watching. So while he
is the leader, and I'm not arguing that at all,
I do not think this race is as over as
everyone on social media last night like to declare it.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
You know, it's interesting because as I'm looking at the
NFC playoff picture, the Bears are the number two seed,
which means Caleb Williams should be in the conversation. So
you're saying Caleb Williams is ahead of Matthew Stafford in
the MVP race. I'll take that. I'll also take what
we saw out of Sam Darnald. This isn't what I learned,
it's what you all learned. I am tired of each
(02:47):
and every one of you besmirching my guy, Sam Clemente Darnald,
the King Triton out there and you know what, going
out there and performing in a huge game. He had
a couple of picks and I was like, you know what,
I go, Sam, we not helped me out. You're not
helping me out. Like you know what, when the game
was on the line, when they needed a drive down
to tie the game, there was By the way, this
(03:09):
was the largest lead the Rams have dropped in the
fourth quarter in a primetime game, actually just ever. The
last time the Rams blew a fifteen point lead in
the fourth quarter was against the San Francisco forty nine
Ers December eleventh, nineteen eighty nine. John Taylor had a
pair of ninety yard touchdown receptions and I was in
(03:31):
the stands.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, those great memories. John Taylor doing his thing for
the forty nine ers. By the way, Grand Slam breakfast
for everybody off the five down there at Denny's in
San Clementze. Meanwhile, hey, look, everybody, it's Kenneth Walker. Right
after we had pretty much given up the Seahawks running
backs for dead, Timneth Walker comes out with his best
game of the season. If you survived this long with
(03:54):
Walker on your roster, congratulations because you got a big
game when you absolutely needed it the most. The problem overall,
not much changed the usage for Walker the same as
that it's always been. Actually, Zach Charbonay led the backfield
in snaps. The difference was, we know how explosive Kenneth
Walker can be. He had three explosive plays, the long touchdown, run,
(04:14):
the long catch, and run early. That's the reason we
want him to get more touches. Hopefully, maybe Mike McDonald
sees that and will oblige the rest of the way
in case you made it into the Fantasy Championship. All right,
So Florio, though, look at this game had a lot
of performances. Go big, Matthew Stafford a huge night, Pooka
an absolute blow up night. If you ran into one
(04:35):
or maybe both of those guys. Give us some names
of people you can put in. Takes some big swing
just to try to close the gap a little bit.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yeah, we were talking about this this morning and one
of our producers, Alan Flowers, he has done one hundred
points this morning because he ran into a Pookah and
Stafford Stack Well, you have to shoot for upside and
Quentin Johnson. I know the floor is very low, but
he's getting the Cowboys this week. He could if things hate,
get you twenty plus US Fantasy points. DJ Moore he
(05:03):
is someone that you're probably already considering given that the
Bears other receivers are out, but he now has a
very high ceiling. Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, and Jordan Addison
against the Giants, Like, yeah, I know, I think Aaron
Jones just a straight play this week.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I know some of these other floors.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Are low, but if you're down forty five plus fantasy
points for one or two guys, I think you need
to try to chase upside now because your season's on
the line.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
In singles and doubles. Works in the regular season, not
at this point in your fantasy season. By the way,
you mentioned DJ Moore. The Bears not going on there
in Chicago. Let's take a look.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Now, now you got pretty pretty fast, get back in
the locker room. Back to that. With that being said, now, gentlemen,
never let it right better.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I know that the sun was not out in Chicago
because Ben Johnson did not have the guns out. Big
one though, as we get into the Saturday games, because
Saturday Football is back, we start with the Packers and
the Bears in rank. I'm going to go out a
limb and say that you were promoting a Bear player
in this one.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Yeah, we're going to be looking at Colston Lovelin, who's
really stepped up over the last couple of weeks. He's
had at least five targets and four consecutive games, and
you know what, he doesn't drop the ball his loan
drop over the last couple of weeks was not really
a drop.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
It was a it was a content, it was an overturned.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I don't know how it was conclusive to anybody out there,
but still has become one of the most reliable guy
and seeing him up close and in person on a Sunday,
it really is impressive what he's able to do out
there on the field. And for anybody who's who's going
to play a DFS slate on Saturday, jday Walker is
a name to keep an eye on.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
He had.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
What we've seen out of the Bears over the last
couple of weeks is they find players that you might
not have heard of whose start stepping up. And so
when Janey Walker goes out there and scores a touchdown
this week, do not be shocked.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
That we just saw a divisional game last night that
was much more higher scoring than the first.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
That could be the case tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
And I think you start Jordan Love in this one
because Love has been in.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
The start sit article a lot this year.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
He's very predictable based on the matchup because he's super
touchdown dependent.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
He doesn't throw for a lot of yards each week.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
He doesn't really run, but not only have the Bears
allowed the fifth most passing touchdowns to quarterbacks. What I
really like about this matchup is they play man in
blitz at a high rate. They've done so all year,
but in the last four or five weeks it has
reached new levels, especially with how aggressive they are blitzing
the quarterback. Love is first and epa against both man
coverage and when he is blitz So I just think
(07:45):
this is a good matchup for Jordan Love to stay hot.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Should be really interesting quarterback matchup between these two teams.
Too very interested checking this one out. The other game
we have on Saturday, the Eagles heading the Washington to
take on the Commanders and Florio. Should we be scared
of Scary Terry?
Speaker 4 (08:00):
I love Scary Terry like he helped me win in
a league last week, but I think you could beware
of him in this one.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Look that fourteen target game a couple.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Of weeks ago with Mariota was nice, but in the
two games since he has just a combined ten targets.
And Mariota this year as good as he has been
like floorized for fantasy and himself his own fantasy value,
he is just one game with more than two hundred
and thirteen passing yards, and he's thrown multiple passing touchdowns
just twice. So the pass catchers upside is limited there.
(08:29):
And then you factor in the Eagles in the last
month fewest fantasy points to wide receivers and just one touchdown.
He's not a must sit, but like I'm sitting him
in a league for Mike Evans and Juwan Jennings.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
So if you're in a situation like that, I think
you could get away from Terry McLaurin. I know it's
been a little bit frustrating having DeVonta Smith on your
roster the last few weeks because the production hasn't been there.
The opportunity has absolutely been there for him though twenty
nine targets over his last four games, he just hasn't
really turned into a lot of yards or fans points
while AJ Brown is continuing to eat. I think that
(09:03):
changes this week, partially just because of the matchup. Washington
has generally been u good. They are even un gooder
against wide receivers lined up in the slot, which is
where Devonte Smith do does a lot of his work.
I think at this point you were starting whatever Eagles.
You have Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, but Davonte
Smith in a really good position to have a good
week for your fantasy team This week, really big, really
(09:26):
interesting matchup in the AFC between the Jacksonville Jaguars and
the Denver Broncos, two of the hottest teams in the
AFC at this point. And even though Travis etn has
been playing really well for Jacksonville, I'm going to tell
you to beware of him. I mean, what you do
like is the opportunity averaging nineteen touches per game since
(09:46):
Week nine. That number might even go up a little
bit now that Bashall Tuton is out of action. He's
got nine total touchdowns since Week ten. But flat out,
Denver has been the worst matchup all season long for
running backs. It doesn't matter if you're running it or
if you're catching it. The Broncos not giving up a
whole lot of yards or not giving up a whole
lot of touchdowns to the position. This I think could
(10:08):
be kind of a slugfest. A lot of defensive plays
on this one, maybe not a lot of points. So
Travis et and I get it. You might need a
position where you have to start him, but it's not
one that I'm very excited about.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Yeah, I've got a lot of questions about him and
a lot of questions about RJ. Harvey this week, and
I get the matchup is really tough. The Jags run
defense is one of the best in football. I still
think you start Harvey because he's just been dominating volume
seventeen or more carries in the last two He's been
featured heavily in the passing game as of late, outside
(10:38):
of last week where they didn't really have to throw
a whole bunch and then the goal on you Saige right,
four touchdowns in his last four games. I still think
even despite this matchup, he is in play as an
RB two or flex play.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
This week gets us to another AFC West matchup the Chargers,
actually not fully AFC West, but the Chargers heading down
to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. You know, you
have been really big on the Chargers passing game in
this one.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah, I love the matchup, which is why I'm going
to be starting Lad mccaukee this week against the Cowboys. Obviously,
Ladd leads the Chargers with seven hundred and fifteen receiving
yards this year he's had.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
He's got a great matchup field.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
The Cowboys have allowed the most fantasy points per game
to wide outs this season. They've allowed twenty four receiving
touchdowns to wide receivers, four more than any other team
in the league. And one of the other players. Again,
I was mentioning some of the DFS plays you might
want to look at. Trey Harris is a really interesting
option for you in the DFS late. We talked about
this yesterday in Stacks on Stacks triple stacking the Chargers
(11:36):
this week with Lad mccakee Harris and of course Justin Herbert.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
On the other side, George Pickens in a little bit
of a slump. He's been so good all year long,
but the last two weeks have not been particularly great,
and on paper, this is not a good matchup for
Pickens or the Cowboys receivers in general. The Chargers have
been very tough in their secondary. But this is just
sort of believing and trusting in a guy who's been
great for you all season long, a guy who's been
(12:01):
a top five receiver for much of the season, has
been averaging over eighteen fantasy points per game, on a
team that still is throwing the ball at one of
the higher rates of any team in the NFL. So
it's sort of just believing in Dak, it's believing in
CD Lamb, and it's believing in George Pickens to come
up with a good number despite the odds here in
a game that I do think could be a back
and forth contest with a lot of points scored. So
(12:22):
I think there's some opportunities for George Pickens to make
some plays in this one coming up. JJ McCarthy and
Jackson Dart face off Sunday in the Big Apple. But
which of these rising stars should be in your fantasy
lineup on Sunday. We got that answer and more when
we continue.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
One in the plate clock gets a snap Dolphins bringing
pressure throw over the middle.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
It is complete.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
The DK Metcalp pearls aside one defender stick zone in
Pittsburgh Steelers touchdown.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
My dk Metcalp.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
Busic caalalty on a full display. Metcalf caught that in traffic,
had a man on him, pushed them aside, sidestepped another guy,
and waltzed into the in zone like he owned the place,
which he does here at.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Arishure Dk Metcalf, showing us that sometimes bullying does work,
as he got into the intel in that one. On
Monday night, big interconference matchup between the Steelers and the Lions,
maybe Aaron Rodgers' final trip ever to Detroit. But the
guy I'm looking at is Jalen Warren. Mostly as a
cautionary tale for fantasy managers, I think you should beware
of starting the Steelers running back in this one. First off,
(13:33):
it's just a bad matchup against the Lions. They've been
the second worst matchup for running backs all season long.
The worst news, though, is the rise of Kenneth Gainwell
in the Pittsburgh backfield. He's already dominating the backfield targets.
Now we're starting to close the gap when it comes
to his share of the rushing attempts as well. This
has the potential to be a high scoring contest, which
(13:53):
means we might see Aaron Rodgers throwing the football more.
A situation where more pass attempts, more targets that tends
to favor Gagwell a little bit more over Jalen Warren.
So if you can get away from him, I would
suggest that for this week.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Speaking of targets. Jamison Williams has flourished since Dan Campbell
took over the play call in Week ten. That's why
he's a start for me this week. He has been
the wide receiver five since going back to Week eight,
but he's said at least nine targets and three consecutive games,
and the Steelers have allowed the third most receptions to
wide receivers this season.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Marcus, let's get down to a big matchup in the
NFC South, the Buccaneers and the Panthers and the Florio.
Bryce Young has been a little bit of a riddle
wrapped inside of enigma this week or this year, I
should say, what do you think about him this week?
Look us short.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
King's got to stick together, and Bryce.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
I'm supporting you.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
I need you to support my fantasy teams because you
are mi Patrick mahomes.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Replacement this week.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
But look, I like Bryce because he has been running
more in the last three weeks. That has elevated his
fantasy floor. But this is about the matchup for me.
The Bucks have struggled against the past all year, but
since we ten, they are top three in passing yards
and touchdowns, and every quarterback to face them in.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
That span has topped eighteen.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Fantasy points, including Tyler Schuck and Kirk Cousins the last
two And if you believe in this kind of thing,
Bryce Young faced them twice last year and went for
multiple touchdowns in each game.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
On the other side, I think you have to worry
about all of the Buccaneers receivers not named Mike Evans.
If there's a thing we saw from evans return, it
was the reminder that when Baker Mayfield gets in trouble,
he's just going to throw it in the direction of
number thirteen. Baker had an eleven and a half air
yards per attempt in that game, just the second time
he's been in double digits in that category, but fifty
(15:38):
percent of those air yards went to Mike Evans. Everybody
else is fighting for short yardage targets, trying to live
on yards after the catch. And now you've got an
additional mouth to feed because on top of Evans coming back,
Jayalen McMillan is also back. So now you got four
wide receivers, You've got Bucky Irving, You've got a tight
end all battling for targets. At this point, Mike Evans
is the only guy in that group that I have
(15:59):
any real amount of faith in on a consistent basis.
You mentioned Patrick Mahomes, so we know he has gone
unfortunately for the rest of the season. The Chiefs heading
to Tennessee to take on the Titans, and I'm telling
you you can have a little bit of faith in
the stash Gardner Minshew. This week, I think is going
to be an interesting proposition. I'm telling you this more
(16:20):
probably in a DFS context. I'm not gonna tell you
to start him with your fantasy championship potentially on the
line here, but it's mostly because we've seen so many
backup quarterbacks go out there this year and just play loose,
just kind of play care free with nothing to lose.
That absolutely describes Gardner Minshew even when he was a starter,
a frontline starter for like the Jaguars, he kind of
(16:41):
played that way. On top of it, just a great
matchup against a Titans defense that has been bad all
year long, especially against the past last few weeks, going
back to Week eight, it's been eighteen touchdown passes, two
interceptions for this Titans defense. So Minshew kind of a sneaky,
maybe outside the box DFS play for you this week.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Biden's defense has been bad, which means like the running
backs probably don't get a lot of opportunity. But that
has not been the case for Tony Pollard, who I
am starting this week. He's had at least eighteen Fantasy
points in back to back games, copping over two hundred
and sixty five rushing guards. In those fixtures, he has
three rushing touchdowns in his last two. He has the
highest percent of the fourth highest percentage of rushing attempts
(17:23):
for his team, which is the fourth highest in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Marcus, Thanks Drank. I got an interesting one between the
Vikings and the Giants. Couple of young quarterbacks going on
in that one, and you've been all on the Dart side,
so I'm assuming you are big on Jackson Dart against
the Vikings. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
We were talking about the ted Lasso Dart episode just
before the show, and each week, pretty much Jackson Dart
has been barbecue sauce.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Not so much this week. It pains me to say it.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
I think this is a week you should try to
get Jackson Dart out of your starting lineups because of
the matchup against the Vikings. They've allowed the fifth fewest
yards and third fewest touchdown passes this season, and I
checked his stat like four times because I just didn't
believe it.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
They've allowed one touchdown pass since Week ten.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
We're in Week sixteen now, So for me, I'm sitting
in for Jacoby Brissett in the league.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I think that's pretty straightforward.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
I would also play Jared Goff, Brock Perdy, Jordan Love,
and Bo Nicks over him. So a lot of situations
where you can get away from Jackson Dart because of
the matchup.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
You know, I wish people would have been a little
bit more curious and not judgmental when it comes to
JJ McCarthy, who's had at least twenty Fantasy points in
back to back games. Now, he's got a great matchup
against the Giants, who have allowed four rushing touchdowns to
quarterbacks this season. That's tied for the fifth most in
the NFL, which is an underrated part of JJ McCarthy's game.
Although he's probably not going to be allowed to gritty
(18:43):
into the end zone. Although I would have just blamed
that on nine, Like listen, that wasn't d coach, that
was nine. I was gritty and you should go find him.
But the Giants have allowed the second most fantasy points
per game to quarterbacks this season, so I do believe
like there's people in situations where he lost Jayden Daniels
this year, you've lost guys like Patrick Mahomes. JJ McCarthy
(19:03):
is a viable option for you if you are looking
for a quarterback to spot start this week.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
And he's had to be like a goldfish which I
think has helped him persevere as the season has gone along.
So interesting one there. Let's dive in now to our
next gin nugget with our researcher Kendall Mursky aka Next
gin Kin and Kimdall. You heard Florio and Rank talk
about the quarterbacks in this Vikings Giants matchup, but you
are looking at the running backs in this one.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
I want to focus in the backfield this week because
the Giants have been one of the most generous defenses
to the running back position this season. In fact, the
five point nine yards per rush that they've allowed to
running backs is the second most by any team since
nineteen fifty and you can see their struggles illustrated here
ranking lasting yards over expected per rush, yards before contact
(19:51):
per rush, explosive rush rate, but the yards after contact
and the mistackle rate really plays into the strengths of
Jordan Mason, as he has the third high misstackle four
straight among running backs this season. And for Aaron Jones,
he still should have a fair share of opportunities on
the ground, but he's caught at least three passes in
five of his last six games. And on the other side,
(20:13):
the Giants have allowed the eighth most receiving yards per
game to running backs since Week eight. Now, I know
a lot of people have been staying away from Jordan
Mason in games that Aaron Jones is active. They've only
had one game this season with both of them scoring
at least ten Fantasy points.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
But this is such a good matchup.
Speaker 6 (20:32):
I really think this is one of those weeks where
with both of them active, they can actually both be
viable flex options for you going into your fantasy semi finals.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
I absolutely love that. I love Aaron Jones this week.
I don't think volume is going to be an issue
like it has been in some games in the playoffs,
and past appreciate that kindle. Now coming up for us
on NFL Fantasy Live, there should be Fantasy fireworks aplenty
with Drake May and Lamar Jackson squaring off on Sunday Night,

turn our attention down to Duvall, where the Jaguars have
signed wide receiver Jacobe Myers to a three year, sixty
(21:48):
million dollar extension that includes forty million dollars guaranteed. Myers
has solidified himself as a legitimate fantasy asset during his
time in Jacksonville, where he scored double digit fantasy points
for five consecutive weeks. So Ray, let's got to take
a forward look at this. Right now, they've got Schobe
Myers locked in. They still have Brian Thomas, Travis Hunter,
(22:09):
who unfortunately was injured midway through the season. But you've
got three guys down there. If you're a fantasy manager
looking at the Jags for next year, what should you expect.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Well, I think that Brian Thomas Junior still got a
big name and people are going to be looking at him.
The biggest question to me is what's going to happen
with Travis Hunter. Now. Obviously people wanted to make this
a thing this season. They're hoping he was going to
go out there and be a two way player. But now,
if I'm the Jags and I've looked at how productive
Jacobe Byers and Brian Thomas have been as a tandem,
I look at Travis Hunter as more of a specialty package,
(22:41):
like we'll run some plays for him, but start focusing
him on the defensive side of the football. But again,
this is going to be one of the most interesting
things to keep the track of during the offseason is
what Liam Cohen and this team does with Travis Hunter
moving forward.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
So before the season, someone called Travis Hunter sho hail Tommy.
I don't know who would do that. That's just that's craziness.
I can't imagine who would say something like that. Anyway,
Back in the game previews Bengals and Dolphins, Joe Burrow
hopefully a little more gruntled. Meanwhile, Quinn Youwers getting to
start for Miami. So are you still in or out
now with Darren Waller? I'm still in.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
I think Quinn Ewers playing ads a little bit of
risk to Darren Waller because we don't know what that
offense is going to look like. Is Waller going to
see as much volume as he has two? Are the
Dolphins going to score the ball as much as they
did with Tua? But I still think he is in
play because of the matchup. He should still be the
clear cut go to option when they're in the red
and end zone.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
But the Bengals they've allowed by far the most in every.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Category catches, yards, touchdowns, fantasy points, two tight ends, but
they've allowed fifteen touchdowns. The Steelers are the only other
team at ten with double digit touchdowns allowed to tight end.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
So because of that, I do think Waller is in
play still as a streaming option. So the Bengals are
terrible against tight ends. Here's the thing. The Dolphins are
also pretty bad against tight ends, which is why I
think you get some sleeper vibes out of Mike Gasiki. Now,
this really is primarily about the matchup, just because the
usage has not been particularly good, although it is worth
paying attention to t Higgins, who is still in the
(24:12):
concussion protocol and we wait a final word on his
status for the week. But Miami the second best matchup
for tight ends. Only the Bengals have given up more
receptions and receiving yards to the position, plus Miami's been
tough on wide receivers, So it could be that this
is a nice option and I safe productive option for
Joe Burrow to get the football to this year again
(24:32):
or this week, I should say again, it's been a
rough year for Gasiki, but the matchup makes him an
intriguing daily fantasy play in case you are so inclined
for that time. Now to take a look at the
Sunday night matchup between the New England Patriots and the
Baltimore Ravens and rank it's been kind of a topsy
turvy year for the Ravens tight ends. Do we believe
in Mark Andrews this week?
Speaker 2 (24:54):
You know, going into this earlier in the week, I
had Mark Andrews listed as a bewareform. Fortunately I benched
him for Colby Parkinson, which means he's going to score
eighty points this week again.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
So that's just the way that that goes.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
He's had just four plus Fantasy points in one of
his last four games. Even in a smash spot against
the Cincinnati Bengals, he was unable to get it going.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
He's had less than things. He doesn't. He doesn't get
a lot of yards.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
So for me, he's a touchdown depending guy, which he
will score touchdowns because I started him, sat him this week.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Marcus. Yeah, it's awful when it works that way.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
And I'm about to shock everyone when I tell you
start Traveon Henderson here you see there the RB three
since Week ten. Henderson is one of three running backs
in NFL history to have multiple games with multiple fifty
yard touchdown runs in it. It's Saquon Barkley and Chris
Johnson and Traveon Henderson. The only difference being Henderson is
fourteen games into his NFL career and for half of
(25:54):
them his coach didn't want to put him on the field.
But I know the Ravens are tough against the run,
but I think there's just far too much upside with Travion.
We saw last week he took a run that should
have been a negative rushing yard and turned into a
sixty five yard touchdown. Plus the Ravens one kind of
weakness against running backs is through the air, and we've
seen Travion more utilized as a receiver as of lead.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Yeah, it's some point. We just kind of want Ramandre
Stevenson to fade into the background and give Travion some
more opportunities. That would be nice. Stime now for sees
the season presented to buy Caesar's Sports Book, and according
to Caesar Sports Book, here are the most likely players
to score the first touchdown during the Sunday night matchup
between the Pats and the Ravens. See Derek Henry up top,
followed by Trevion Henderson, Mark Andrews sliding in there at third,
(26:38):
follow by Za Flowers and Remondre Stevenson. So, Florio, if
you're picking somebody to score the first touchdown, you're going
here on menu or maybe off menu.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
I know, I was just talking of Trevion Henderson. Dereck
Henry is always a great bet to score a touchdown,
but I'm gonna go off menu and tell you it's
going to be one of the one of the two
quarterbacks here, because Drake May last week had two rushing touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
They were the first two scores of that game.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
And then Lamar Jackson running near the goal line a
little bit more as you see there on the screen.
So I'm gonna have a little fun here, get some
better odds and go deeper here. But both of these
quarterbacks legs I think are going to be big factors
in this huge Sunday night matchup.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
He had two mobile quarterbacks. Feels like an oversight not
to have them on that list. Thirty goal from the fourteen.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Here's the staff four man rush Allen stepped up fires,
Betty's got knocks in.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
The end up for a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Gosh Allen with a laser to Dotson knock for a
second touchdown.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Reception of the game.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Welcome back to NFL Fantasy Live.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Bills off a fresh and thrilling win on the road
against the New England Patriots. We have my guy, Josh Allen.
We know to start him, but I like Dawson Knox
as a sleeper. He's at at least seventeen fantasy points
in back to back games, and he's got a real
advantageous matchup against the Browns, who allowed the fifth most
yards per game to tight ends this season. But Michael,
(28:02):
the Bills have not been great at stopping the run.
What does that mean for quin Shawn Judkins.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
Yeah, I think quin Shawn Judkins remains in play this week.
We know he is the goal line back and the
Bills have allowed the most rushing touchdowns two running backs,
but they've also allowed the third most rushing yards and
on top three and explosive run rate both on the
year and since Week eleven. So with Judkins, the one
concern is getting games scripted out, but he has been
used more in the passing game Dylan Sampson up in
(28:27):
the air that helps him. I think Judkins is still
very much so in play because of the matchup.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
All right, Raiders Texans. Dalton Schultz has been a stunt
this year. What are we doing with him against Las Vegas?
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (28:40):
I don't know what he has to do for people
to trust him more, but I think Dalton Schultz has
become just a guy you could start each week. He
brings a very safe floor. But we've been getting more
and more upside. Last week a season high twenty two
Fantasy points, and since Week seven, he is fifth amongst
all tight ends and targets per game. And then on
(29:00):
top of it, the Raiders, they've allowed three receiving touchdowns
at tight end since Week eleven, that is top five.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
So I think you just ride the safe hand here
in Dalton Schultz.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
You know, brock Bowers has been a start ever since
he walked into the league, but I'm a little worrisome
about him this week. I'm like, listen, I'm not starting him.
I'm not starting Gunner Helm over him. But the Texans
have allowed to top ten tight ends since Week four.
That was Trey McBride, George Kittle. Obviously brock Bowers would
be in that category. One guy that you could possibly
(29:30):
start over Brock Bowers, our guy, Kyle Pitts Monster Monster
game last week.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Are we starting again this week? Michael, Yeah, I think
Kyle Pitts remains in play.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
I know they're saying that Drake London is going to
likely be back this week and that puts a little
bit of a ding on Kyle Pitts's volume, But he
had the literally the.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Best tight end performance of the season last week.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
He has scored fifteen or more in each of his
last three games, and he has been the top target
every week for Kirk Cousins since he has taken and
over and on top of that, the Cardinals have had
their struggles against tight end. So maybe the ceiling isn't
quite as high with London out there, but the floor
still feels pretty safe.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
All right.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
New York Jets taken on the New Orleans Saints a
couple of weeks ago. I said this stash the Saints
defense for this stretch run. Is that a good play?
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Michael, Yeah. I think that was a great call on
your part. The Saints defense is very much so in
play this week because of who's on the other side.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
I know the Saints defense isn't one that we normally stream,
but when you get this late in the season, you're
chasing favorable matchups, and the Jets are exactly that. They
have been top three and sacrate all season long. They
are top eight and fantasy points per.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Game allowed of defenses.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
But it's only getting worse because with Brady Cook, the
Jets have taken nine sacks and yielded five giveaways in
their last two games. That makes the Saints a very
strong streaming option in the Fantasy semifinals, which might have
been crazy like two months ago to say, but with
the Jets looking the way they are, it's very sound
advice right now.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yeah, that's one of the things about fantasy and looking ahead.
Even if you missed out on the Saints, you might
want to look at some of the other teams that
have great matchups.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
There's only four teams.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Laughed likely in your playoff race, so you're able to
go out there and kind of work things out. I
know it's all strategy, but sometimes they say it's better.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
To be lucky than good.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
And here to talk about it is Marcus Grant with
a minute with Marcus.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Thank you, Adam. That's right, we've made it to the
Fantasy semi finals. It's the week before the week. Maybe
take a moment to reflect on how you got here.
Was it on the strength of some shrewd drafting and
savvy roster moves, or did you slide in when your
opponent didn't get a Woody Marks touchdown they thought was theirs.
(31:44):
By the way, fumble recovery should also still count as touchdowns.
Or maybe you went from out of the playoffs entirely
to a three seed and a second round berth because
of a Caleb Williams stat correction from ten weeks ago.
That and a favorable vote by your league makes I mean, look,
reck counning the destruction of the death Star is one thing.
(32:07):
Reck counning your fantasy season is quite another. But regardless,
nobody makes it to this point in the fantasy season
without a little bit of luck and perhaps some in
the form of statistical anomalies. Besides, you wouldn't have been
in this position without some shrewd draft picks and some
savvy roster moves. But as you prepare for your fantasy weekend,
(32:29):
one thing to keep in mind is that it ain't
over till it's over, and even then it still might
not be over. This has been another minute with Marcus.

up now. Terms and embargoes apply. Let's get hip because
it's time to take it to the rank without a rank.
All right, thanks so much, Marcus.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Now obviously without me being in studio right now, my guy,
Chunky B. We're gonna be They're gonna bring in the righty.
I'm getting with the lefty.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
Up.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
They should want to go with the lefty, but we're
gonna go with the righty. Right here, Chucky B. If
you're ready, I'm ready. We will start with the Miami
Dolphins who benched Tunga Tua Tunga Baya Loa and returning
to Quinn Yours, who is famous for being the first NCAA.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Player to ever sign an nil deal.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
What does that mean? I don't know, but it does me.
The Devon hen is gonna be a huge part of
this offense. He has already been a big fixture as
a receiver out of the backfield, and he's averaged more
than thirty receiving guards per game this season. Now he's
got the Bengals who can't cover well, they can't cover anybody,
so this is gonna be a good opportunity for him.
So I say that chen has more than twenty seven
(33:46):
and a half receiving yards and Chunky B, we're gonna
take it to the right, the right. I was way early.
I'm trying to sync that up. It's okay, let's go
to Cleveland. Miles Garrett is chasing the NFL Singles Sea.
He's in sack record. Caleb Williams refused to give him
a cheapie. It's not Brett Farv.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
He's not going to do that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
But now he's got the Bills this week, who've allowed
thirty three sacks this season. You've allowed thirty three sacks
to Josh Allen. How is that possible? What would a
normal team do?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Try?
Speaker 2 (34:18):
This is unbelievable. Bills, get it together, protect your franchise quarterback.
But that means for me, is that Miles Garrett is
going to get a sack this week and chuck it me,
load it up, and you can take it.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
To the rank. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
All right, let's go down to Carolina. Bryce Young, the monarch,
the former first round pick. I asked all of you
if I was ever out here advocating for Bryce Young,
to smack me right in the face.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
But you know what, I'm alone here in my house,
so nobody can do that. And you know what, you
can't ignore the numbers.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
He's averaged two hundred and sixty eight passing yards over
his last board games. The Bucks have allowed the most
passing yards per game since Week eight. So I'm going
to say that Brian, he's young, has more than two
hundred and twenty seven and a half passing yards. And
chuck it Bay, you can take it to the right.
(35:10):
I think I would have nailed that one. I think
I nailed that one. Now it's that time once again.
We've only failed one time this season in this category.
And last week it was a moon ross Saint Brownie
came through boom got into the end zone. Now we're
looking at Saquon Barkley, who has scored at least two
touchdowns in his last three games, in each of the
(35:30):
last week, each of the last It's not two in three,
it's two in every three. He's been amazing against the
Washington Commanders. He has twelve career touchdowns against this side.
He's much better when he's been a member of the
Philadelphia Eagles. So this one seems rather academic to be.
Saquon Barkley finds the end zone this week and chuck
it Bay can give it to you because you can
(35:52):
check it to the right and there it is. Oh,
keep going this, How I don't I know? I batted
two forty in high school. But I still had six
bombs at any event that was taking the rank for
this week, Marcus take it away.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Thanks Rag time for a little Fantasy Flago, and somebody's
gonna have to sweep up all those cars. These are
some guys who went off in week fifteen. Of course,
Kyle Pitts leading away with forty five points. Boom, Yeah,
I got all choked up. I'm a bow lever in
bow Knicks. Almost thirty points there, Juwan, Jenny's, Tyler Schuck
and Ad and I Mitchell And now it's time to
bring the mood down. Let's get a little bit of zen,
(36:28):
Let's get a little bit of our chakras aligned as
we go with the flow with our own fantasy Sherpa,
the one and Only Michael F. Floria, What do you
have for us this week? WHOA, I'm here. Usually I'm
just a two dimensional.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
Box, but I guess for all of you watching at home,
I still kind of am.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
But this is trippy, man.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
I'm not usually you can't usually see this much of me,
but it's the Fantasy semi finals. So they were like,
you gotta stop foraging, and you gotta get here and
help the people and speaking of help, you know who's
helped me get this far in my League's Juwan Jennings.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
He has been the top end zone option for Brock Purdy,
which has been totally far out and led to him
scoring six touchdowns in his last six games.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
And he gets a groovy.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Matchup this week against the Colts, who WI allowed the
third most Fantasy points per game two wide receivers.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
So this week I need you to remember three things.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
If you're not barefoot, you're overdressed, play Juwan Jennings and
just go with the flow.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Go with the flow. Third, and Juan will bring you peace.
Who else are we going with the flow? I don't
think I could stand like that.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Look, some of my fellow hippies are coming into town
this weekend, Marcus for the holidays, and I'm not gonna lie.
We're gonna get a little shucked up. That's right, Tyler Shuck.
He's been running more right, which is just totally groovy Fantasy.
Don't look now, but he's got seventeen or more Fantasy
points in.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Four of his last five games.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
I know early in the year the man was trying
to keep him down, but he is bawling out and
he gets a totally far out matchup this week against
the Jets, who I could throw two touchdowns against.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
So imagine what he's gonna go out and.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Do so this week when you're on the waiver wires
searching for a Patrick Mahomes replacement and you're thinking, should
I play Tyler.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Shuck, Yeah you should.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
And once you have that answer decided, you could just
breathe and go with the flow.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
You're more. Thanksgiolding me so much, Michael. When we come back,
we asked you for some questions, and boy did you deliver.
Stick around. We're gonna try to help you out one
last time before you get into your fantasy semi finals.

(40:09):
was quickly deleted. It's time now for a little power
to the people. We went on social media. We asked
you for your pressing questions for this week, so we're
gonna try to answer a few of them this one.
We'll start with you, Rank Lamar Jackson or Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Jeez, I'm gonna go out to Lamar Jackson again. I
I don't know how we how did you get this far?
Speaker 1 (40:35):
With Lamar Jackson? Like I want to know. I guess
maybe you've been playing Trevor Lawrence. But I think this
is Lamar Jackson's week. All right, Flora, this one for you.
Who should I play Joe Burrow or JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
Like I agree with Rank said earlier in the show,
I like JJ McCarthy as a streaming option this week.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
I'm not playing him over Joe Burrow, though, like give
me Joe Burrow. Yeah, I think it's Joey Burr this
week against Miami. Start Michael Carter over Ashton Gent. I
think the answer is yes. I you know, I know,
here's the Genty. We'll get some targets that'll keep him afloat.
But I just like Carter's matchup a whole lot more
than I like Gent's this week. All right, back to
(41:12):
back to you, Adam Rank need to start two of
the following three in a full PPR. Michael Pittman, Jacoby Myers,
and Juwan Jennings. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
I think Jacoby Myers is at number one, even though
he's going up against Denver.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
I think that's okay. You can still start him, and
I don't want to. I don't want any part of
the Colts so give me Juwan Jennings. All right, Myers
and Jennings there, all right, Florio, do I start Jackson
Dart or Caleb Williams. Thanks appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
I'm gonna go with Jackson. No, I'm back and forth
because I have both that since this week. I would
normally go Dart because he can run, but I'm seeing
that the Packers might be out some even more of
their key defenders besides Micah, and if that's the case,
that would push me towards Caleb.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
All right, saye got one, let me get one last one. Nope,
that's it. We're all done. All right, Time for Monday's
fantasy headlines. Today we peer into our crystal ball and
try to figure out what everybody's gonna be talking about
when it is all over. So, Florio, Europe first saves
your season.
Speaker 4 (42:09):
Look, I know he hasn't had the year he we
all envisioned he would, but they haven't created running LANs
for him like they did last year or home run
hitting plays. Luckily, the Commanders are awful at both, So
I think Saque goes off.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
All right, Rick, I'm gonna say that Aaron Rodgers motors
through Motown.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
I kept motioning like send it to me through my ear,
like you.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
Know, like one of those old time, old timey actors
get it in my ear so I.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
Can just read it off the table.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
But you know what, as much as Bears fans don't
like Aaron Rodgers, Lions fans have had to lend with
that too.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
Ah yeah, absolutely last one for me, Minshew, Magic meets
the Music City. I think Gardner Minshew has a surprising
game against the Tennessee Titans coming up this week. That'll
do it for us. Appreciate you hanging out with as
good look at your semi finals for Right for Floyda
on Marcus. See you on Monday.
